I am curious how “Jennifer” spent only $5 on the 7th Generation products. I am trying to plan my trip and need to get it pretty cheap. Any help would be appreciated.

      • JKP1014

I used all the coupons on the Seventh Generation website plus 2 $2 off coupons I found many months ago hanging on bottles at Target…..That gave me two free bottles of detergent….Everything was marked $1.98 or less at my Toys R Us….

    • Wauwa

I'm still amazed at how much you have helped me and others save each week. Thank you, Jenny!

I had a pretty slow week. I've still gotta go to kroger tomorrow because I've got a $3 cat that's expiring.

      CVS
      total before coupons/sales: $91
total oop: $3.07 on a gift card from a return, so like $0
      total saved: $91

      Food Lion
      total before coupons/sales: $8.28
      total oop: $.28
      total saved: $8 or 96%

      Rite Aid
      total before coupons/sales: $25.13
      total oop: $12.33 – $10 SCR = $2.33
      total saved: $22.80 or 90%

      weekly total
      total before coupons/sales: $124.41
      total oop: $2.61
      total saved: $121.80 or 97%

You're an inspiration Kelli! Wow. I'm about 2 months into couponing and am amazed at the savings. My husband told me the other not he's glad I have a hobby now. :) Some day I may be as good as you! In the mean time I'm enjoying where I'm at! Have a great weekend.

it took me a while to get to where I am now. I've been couponing for about a year now. I'd say I've been really good for maybe 5-6 months. Now that I've been couponing for so long, I've got a pretty good stockpile, so most weeks I only buy what's free or really cheap.

I've been rolling extra bucks at CVS since the beginning, it took me a while to get really good at it but now I mostly only pay tax. I try to end up with the same number of extra bucks that I stated with (or more) but some weeks that's hard. This week I ended with about $9 less, but I bought Olay Quench lotion to send in for a rebate, so I should be getting $8.99 back.

I love rebates. A few days ago I actually figured out my total for the year so far, factoring in rebates and it's negative. Coupons have changed my life!!!!

          • bhflood

NEGATIVE! Holy Cow! I'm just starting to get into rebates and have done some CVSing. My best was walking away with $15 on a CVS gift card for $38 worth of merchandise ($10 out of pocket). I'm still trying to learn all that but am encouraged. I may spend up to 2 hours a week prepping at times but the savings is worth it. Your example shows how it 'pays' to shop. At the beginning of the year I was working 3 pt jobs to be a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I'm down to 2. I started couponing right after my $200 a month cleaning job was disolved due to lost contracts. I hated that job but it was consistent. My couponing has saved me much more than I made at that job. Thanks for the encouragement!

Question- Do you have any tricks to saving more at Krogers? The highest percentage I've had there is 47% which pales in comparison to my 75% high at Publix. Is there something I'm missing? I do shortcuts- which don't always show up on my receipt- and try to stack manufactures with those. Can I stack a Kroger coupon with a manufacturer coupon (the kroger coupons they mail me)?

            • Evie

I shop at Kroger too cause there isn't a Publix around. I usually hit that same 50% mark but yes they will stack your coupons. I load up cellfire, shortcuts, and softcoin (direct from the kroger website) then still use paper coupons and if I have catalinas it will let me use those too. I have also had the same problem with ecoupons not coming off even after following the specific requirements. I am really hoping to start getting more cause Kroger is usally a better buy for me than Target.

This is not related, but didn’t know where else to post it and it may help someone else.I think the Huggies coupon at http://www.coupons.com has been reset. I was able to print out two more from the same computer I’ve been using. They expire 4-30-10, though.

      Love the slide show Jenny!!

Wanted to post my results (1st time ever!!) for this week, I am THRILLED with the savings and hope I can get better over time!
Total amt purchased this week: $172.97
      Total amt spent: $80.85
That's a little over 50% savings and my goal (now that I know I can do this) is to get my savings % up to 70-80% every week. Needless to say, I'm super excited with my 1st weeks purchases! Thanks a ton!

I would like to know what stores you shopped at and what stores can you stack coupons at? I know Food Lion doesn't allow it.. And most stores are strict on coupons when it comes to policy.
Can anyone help me and let me know what stores you can stack?

    • Robin

FOUND COUPONS AT PUBLIX at Harbison in Columbia, SC. While shopping today at Publix I found someone's organized stack of coupons they inadvertently left on some totes by the front. I asked a few ladies in the store and eventually turned them in at the front desk. I hope you found them.

    • phgammage

How do you get logged onto this page???

    • gina4ever0

I don't know about everyone else, but i am frustrated with people being greedy with sales and coupons. I think the people (ex. the person whose picture had 5 of the Scrubbing Bubbles sprayers) should really think about other couponers when they are shopping and leave enough so everyone can take advantage of the sales. I understand that sometimes it is a stocking issue, but there is only so much the store can do when people are taking 5 or 10 of each sale item. These people should really stop and think what it would feel like if every week when they went shopping everything that was on sale w/coupons was completely gone. Some families are only able to buy these items when they are on sale and can use coupons and it is unfair that some people are taking more than their fair share and leaving others with nothing. Lets all spread the wealth and start creating a better image for couponers and not buy more than what we need.
