I had a feeling that no shopping would have happened this week.  I was right.  We’ve been in Florida all week having a fun time as a family and seeing many of you in workshops.  I have another week next week that I can almost guarantee no shopping.

For next week I would LOVE it if you would send me your pictures. Email your pictures and just your quick “Total Spent” and “Total Saved” numbers sometime during the week.  I’ll make a fun post to show off everyone’s work next Friday night!!

How did you do this week?  It was a slow week I felt like for everyone so hopefully some of you have great finds to show off!  Leave a comment or a link.

      Great idea Jenny!

    • I actually had a big week OVERALL! I got groceries from both Publix and Winn-Dixie (and small Walmart trip) and a small Rite-aid trip. The gas card skews my overall savings a little bit so I posted my savings minus the gas card in my blog title. Each store was small, but overall was a big shopping week… and apart from Walmart, all of my trips were at least 70% savings (not counting the gift card).

I've been getting awesome deals at Lowe's foods (they double up to a dollar)…wish you did matchups for them! (hint hint, wink wink) :) Earlier in the week, I stocked up on 5 packs of bacon and 3 sausage, 3 dozen eggs (that lasted NO time here!), OJ, 6 boxes of cereal, some produce and some other misc. I also did the crystal light deal at food lion while I was out (spent $5 there and saved $15!) Total spent was right at $55 and I saved over $140!! My trip to ingles threw off my percents because I finally had to buy some diapers and I got several cascade and charmin's. I spent $61 and saved $38…not as good. With 6 ppl in the house, nothing seems to last! A stockpile seems to walk out the door as fast as I put it up. sigh

I had a pretty good week, even though it was really slow

      CVS
      total before coupons/sales: $152.01
total oop: $3.60 but I paid with a money card from a return, so really $0
total saved: $148.41 or $152.01 because I count the mc as free money

Food Lion – I bought a bunch of canned veggies when they were 33 cents
      total before coupons/sales: $19.16
      total oop: $8.12
      total saved: $11.04 or 57%

      Kroger
      total before coupons/sales: $6.70
      total oop: $.10
      total saved. $6.60 or 98%

      weekly total
      total before coupons/sales: $177.87
total oop: $8.22 plus $3 on papers
      total saved: $169.65
And I got back $64.97 in rebates this week!

forgot to add, I saved 95% overall for the week. :)

    • I did some wheeling and dealing at k-mart this week. My best deal was the other day when I got 4 6-packs of the half-liter bottles of diet 7-up, a tube of skintimate moisturizing shave cream, and a package of veet. The total before coupons was $18.47 and after, it was $3.48. The cashier was like WHOA! But I think I used nearly all of my high-dollar coupons at k-mart this week b/c of super doubles. There were two k-marts near me – one close to my work and the other on my way home in the opposite direction, so I went every day M-F and picked up some good deals. But this was a week where my dogs cleaned up, b/c between k-mart and target, they got a ton of treats and bones.

I'm so glad I checked this post today! I didn't know anything about the Kmart doubles and decided to check it out. Link #1 (52 things) was very helpful. I'd never shopped there before, so it took a little time, but I cleaned up!

      Here's what I got:
      Whiskas dry cat food 0.99
Right Guard Total Defense Deodorant 0.50
      Tampax Pearl 18 ct 0.79
Stayfree Ultra Thin 16 ct FREE!
Always Ultra Thin 16 ct FREE!
      Total: 2.82

If I'd known about this earlier, I would have been going all week!

    • I did the post cereal deal at Krogers 2 times, I bought 4 boxes of post at $1.50 each after the $4 off for buying 4, then had two $1.00 off coupons making it $4, then at checkout received a catalina for $3 off my next purchase making each box .25!!!

Then we hit doubles at Kmart 5 times, My husband works near one so he was kind enough to go everyday for me after work. We got….

4 packs of Stayfree pads free
      4 crest prohealth toothpastes free
      2 Dove Shampoos .39 each
2 Big PertPlus Shampoo and Conditioners .89 each
      1 Mens Pert Plus free
2 St. Ives Apricot Scrubs free
      3 Soft Scrubs Total free
1 Clean and Clear face wash ( can't remember free or under .50 )
      3 Bottles of All free
      2 Snuggle Fabric Softeners .99

and I think that's it! We were going to go again today a couple of times but my husband had to take our little guy to the ER as he woke up a couple of days ago with red swollen lumps on his shins and it hadn't gotten any better. No idea what it could be, no bites, not rashy looking, so praying it is nothing serious!! Say a prayer for my little guy !

    • I went back out again today and came home w/ $64.72 worth of products for $21.53 between Target, K-mart and CVS. Although, I did not get the $5 ECB back for buying the john frieda hair care products… Some people have gotten it to work buy purchasing 3 items @4.99 each, but the total was supposed to be $15 to get the 5 ECB. I had 2 $2 coupons, plus a $1 coupon from the root awakening shampoo, and a $3 from a coupon insert, plus $5 ECB from a prior purchase, so it was still a really good deal. I did roll some ECBs forward with purchasing a skintimate moisturizing shave cream (and I had a $2 coupon for that), so the trip to CVS was a good one. And the dogs hit the jackpot again at Target b/c they had meaty bone dog treats on sale for $2.50 a box. And I had coupons galore… I got 2 boxes of meaty bones, 2 packages of meaty bone chewlotta, and 2 package of canine carryout treats… All for the low price of $2.58 with two coupons that got me a free box of meaty bones for each chewlotta I purchased, and a $2.00 off when you buy 2 meaty bone treats (for the chewlottas), and then a peelie from the meaty bones for free canine carryouts! Those were my best deals – CVS and the dog treats from Target. Overall it was worth the extra trip for me to go to town today!
