This week was a Kroger week for us.  I ran in to get all the unadvertised deals for you guys and left with a lot that I hadn’t planned on.  The four day sale at Kroger was just too good to pass up.

With everything thing that I bought I actually didn’t use any coupons.  There weren’t any coupons available to use on these items, so there is no guilt involved.

Kroger:
Total Before Sales and Coupons: $84.62
Total Spent: $44.98
Total Saved: $39.64 or 46.8%

This included 8 half gallons of milk, some fresh produce and chicken!

We are also continuing to get our produce box each week from the CSA share that we bought earlier.  Having a ton of produce each week has actually saved us more many than I realized because now I only need meat to make a meal.  We’ve had some interesting meals to use up what we are getting, like so far this week we’ve had turnips, beets, cauliflower, swiss chard, broccoli and spinach mixed into dinner in some way. It’s forcing us to get creative and so far everything we’ve cooked has been great (even the beets).
