For the first time in almost two months we’ve been out of town most of the week.  I did make it to Kroger before we left to grab a few Mega event items and get all the fixins to make a friend a gluten free dinner and dessert.  For folks that have to make every meal gluten free I hope that you are able to find some deals every now and then, that stuff was expensive!!

Kroger
Total before coupons and sales: $96.14
Total Spent: $46.22
Total Saved: $49.92 or 51.9 %

This would have been insanely better without the gluten free products but it was awesome to make someone home made peach cobbler that doesn’t always get desserts.  The extra costs wasn’t a consideration at all as we watched him eat 3 helpings!

We also had fun this week saving money in other ways.  Finding free activities while on the road, working to save on meals etc.  Our favorite was a fun little “zoo” in Athens GA called Bear Hollow.  Completely free and at a beautiful park so two free activities in one!
