Guess what?  Today marks the 5th year of me writing Friday Finals.  That’s a lot.  In honor of this 260th Friday Finals, I have decided to change things up a bit and no longer post a link up.  Instead…  you are welcome to share in the comments here or the Southern Savers community all of your savings.  You can even share pictures in the community or on instagram using the hashtag #southernsavers.  The fun part about the community is you don’t have to wait until I post this late Friday night.  You can come in all week and share you trips and extra finds.

Our savings this week I already shared part of in a CVS Video earlier this week.  You can see exactly what we bought and the coupons used.

CVS:
Total before sales and coupons: $33.05
Total spent: 87¢
ECB Remaining: $14 ECB

Kroger:
Total before sales and coupons: $319
Total spent: $186.67
Total saved: $132.33 or 41.4%

Okay, that was a huge trip.  It was a take your breath away trip at the register.  This was almost $75 of produce, $20 in meat, and $10 in Dairy items.  They were all on sale, but obviously no coupons were used. We didn’t grocery shop last week and this is more than enough to not need to shop next week.  So in the end I was over budget by $46.  I’m hoping I can stretch this to cover us for longer than two weeks, but we’ll have to see. I am thankful that even on a huge trip with tons of produce that we still saved 40%.

For everyone that leaves their trips in the community throughout the week, I’ll start to make Friday Finals a best of post each week.  I’ll highlight and link to a few of the top stories left in the community each week as well as share our savings.
