I have to say I felt like September would never come, and now we are at the last day of August!

This week we went low budget to help out from last week, so I only hit CVS.  I couldn’t pass up the Tide & Bounty Towels deal, plus they sent me a $4 off $20 coupon in my email so it was seriously making me crazy to go.

I bought:

(3) Bounty Paper Towels, 6 rolls, $5.99
(2) Tide Detergents, 32 loads, $5.99
(1) CVS Reinventing Beauty Magazine, 99¢
Used:
-$4 off $20 purchase, emailed to me last Thursday
-$1 off Bounty Towels, 6 pk. +, found inside various P&G products
-$2/2 Tide detergent or Downy, excl trial size, PG 7/29
-$3 ECB (from last week)
Total Due: $20.94
Got Back: $10 Gas Gift Card

We have also already submitted for the $5 P&G rebate from the deal, so in the end we got a ton of paper towels and detergent for $5.94!!  Can’t touch that at any super center…

As for the Reinventing Beauty Magazine, this is something that I recommend grabbing whenever you see it in your store.  Each issue has $30-$40 in coupons inside that are a blend of store and manufacturer coupons.  Always check to make sure the coupons in the issue are still good.  If you find it, it is well worth the 99¢!

I hit CVS a few times this week to buy lotion to do the Olay Rebate.  I spent a little over 10.00 and bought my lotion, 2 bags of coffee, 4 candy bars, and few clearance items.  I am submitting the rebate, so everything was practically FREE!

I spent around 15.00 at Whole foods on fruit.

I needed a quick Wednesday night meal, so I sent my hubby after chips, hamburger meat and bread and after coupons it was all FREE!

I ran to target and price matched the charcoal.  I paid 11.?? for two bags of charcoal and a 5.00 gift card.  I turned around an used my giftcard to buy my milk, chips and drink.

I had a big week. Between all the grocery stores I got $384.50 in groceries and paid $112.05. And that was regular groceries, including meat, fresh veggies and fruits, milk, Kcups, etc..the things that kill your budget.

    • Jenny- That was a great trip!!  I really should have gone and done the same but I ran out of budget so I ignored the $4 off $20 coupon.  Shucks!!!  I really needed the Tide :(  Of well, there is always next time!!
