I almost feel guilty saying it, but this week was almost back to normal.  I know for so many in South Carolina that isn’t the case, but for us normal activities resumed and life was pretty quiet.  The only thing not back yet are the roads.  With the nearest Bi-Lo and Publix over 50 minutes away I contemplated not shopping but we really needed some of the items on sale this week, so I loaded up the wagons and made the 3 day trek to town.  Seriously with young kiddos this is what it feels like.

We went to both Publix and Bi-lo (after all we made the long trek we might as well make it worthwhile).  I didn’t buy a ton.  The highlight of both trips was two $5 off $30 purchase coupons that Bi-Lo mailed out.  I used two at Publix and one at Bi-Lo.

Publix:

Total Purchased: $89.46
Total Spent: $32.10
Total Saved: $57.36 or 64%

This was apples, milk, bread, some clearance deals and other sale items.  Here’s my shopping list.

Bi-Lo:

Total Purchased: $54.63
Total Spent: $24.08
Total Saved: $30.55

I honestly went for 83¢ ice cream.  I really went to get unadvertised deals to post, but if you’re there it’s a crime to not buy the ice cream.  We also got some manager’s special roasts and steaks, sugar, salad mix, clearance baby food and a few house brand items to make a dish that Bi-Lo asked me to make and share next week.  I should make those house brand items a work expense since they weren’t on sale… at least we had a $5 off $30 coupon to help! Here’s my shopping list.
