This has been one of those weeks for me.  We all have them so, I know you understand.  I did go shopping at both Kroger & Publix, they were tiny trips just to grab a few of the healthier items they had on sale and the fresh produce on sale.  I confess though that after cleaning my house for company I have no idea where the receipts are or what the savings was.

I do remember what I bought though because I’ve been eating it all week

Publix:

I went in for the Smart One’s B1G1 deal on Tuesday before the ad change, and then when back for the Arnold Sandwich Thins on the new ad.  I also added some salad mix.

  • With the sandwich thins, some Deli Fresh meat I already had and a few veggies from the garden I’ve been having delicious 3 point sandwiches for lunch (points are part of weight watchers so it really means “super healthy”)  To add flavor I’ve been using fat free dressing that was B1G1 a few weeks ago to the top.

Kroger:

I grabbed manager special bread and meat (find what day your store marks down things and make that your shopping day – there are awesome deals).  We also grabbed fresh fruit, cherries, and strawberries.

Total we probably spent around $20 bucks for everything.  Sorry I can’t get more specific for ya.

How did you do this week?  Leave a comment or a link to your weekly savings post.

we need to do better at eating healthy and I need to get better at keeping track of my receipts. I've been digging around everywhere trying to find them to figure out what I spent/saved this week. things have been insane for me this week. I'm blaming it on the fact that I got married on monday. :)

      • either I'm just too tired or can't use a calculator tonight because my weekly total numbers don't add up exactly, but here's what I've got. :)

Rite Aid: I bought a bunch of John Frieda, nair, biotrue, crest, and a few other fillers (to use up+)
        before sales/coupons: $278.49
        oop: $7.53
        saved: $270.96 or 97%

        oop: $2.02
        saved: $70.37 or 97%

        Walgreens: Blistop, Blistex, socks
        total before sales/coupons: 31.43
oop: -$1.35 (RR didn't print for sock, so they refunded my money, including tax, and I got to keep the socks!!)
        saved: 31.43 or 100%!

Food Lion: bought 2 lbs of 96% lean ground beef, 1 lb turkey burgers, 6 packages of tortillas, Cool Whip, Kraft mayo, pasta, cheese, CapriSun

        total oop: $12.63

        Weekly total:
        total before sales/coupons: $517.67
        oop: $21.01
        saved: $495.43 or 96%

      • Congrats!

        • Kelli Morgan

          Thank! :)

    • I spent 100.61 @ bi-lo and saved 62.88 alone with bonus card and 16 dollars with coupons. It would have been 17 if we'd remembered to pull off a coupon on a non sale item. But we're learning.
We have .85 cents in fuelperks which will help a ton with the van we're currently renting.
I really want to thank you and all the nice commenters here at Southern Savers. I started last November and I'm really starting to get the hang of it now. I have social anxiety and while it's being treated and under control I never could have started couponing without your help. I feel confident now about the coupons and sales and I feel like I'm helping my family. We may spend more than other people that coupon but we coupon so that we can get things that we want occassionally or need that aren't ever on sale.
I look forward to the next time I can try to attend your class because even though I read a lot of your website I know it'd help more to see it in person.
I even have my future husband who currently lives in croatia and doesn't ever see coupons there so excited about my use and savings. I look forward to learning his favourite things in the stores and helping him get them for free or pretty much that way.
Anyways Thanks so much for all you do!

We all have those weeks, I hope next week holds less chaos and more peace for you! :)

I did great the week. The Girl was picked up by her grandparents and headed to Tn for a week of fun. When we met up for the “exchange” my dad had brought me all kinds of veggies from his garden. Yum! With just the Husband and I at home we were able to eat what was left from last week and work on veggies all day Sunday. I love veggies from the garden, makes me think of growing up and working out there every Sat. morning. The Girl got to do that this week, picking shucking silking corn, diggin potatoes, picking okrs and squash. I cant wait to enjoy HER hard work.

Anyway: We ate at Sonic Sat. night after the “exchange” in Birmingham (3 1/2 to 4 hrs away).
Meal ended up being around $12 after tip.

Then the hubby and I made do with what was in the pantry and now fully stocked veg pile. On Wed. I did go to Wal-Mart and spent around $5 plus tax. I got 2 boxes of granola bars and a box of juice boxes.

Thursday I took a friend out to eat for her birthday. Had a great time at Atl Bread and only spent $12.67.

Fri., Today I went to CVS and hit the mother load. Total Spent : $11.13. Got all this : 2 Ouist Air, 2 ziplockbags , 4 boxes of Betty Crocker brownie mix, 3 Betty Crocker Warm Delights, 2 bryers Ice cream, 1 Skinny Cow Truffles (my treat), travel size Panteen cond. , Playtex Tampons, Disp. Shick razor, Shick razor refills, and Off Insect repellent. THATS 19 ITEMS!!! My razor refills alone are normally that!

I then treated myself to the new Chinnese Rest in town (sooooo goooood) for lunch. It was $6.54.

So totals this week pretty good. Spent $47.34 this week. I am doing the All You challenge and some of the CVS trip wouldnt be included.

For challenge purposes I spent about $40 on food this week with most of that eating out twice.

Nest week : IMPOSSIBLE We are going to Tn to get the Girl and have plans for Dollywood, The Aquarium, ect. I will keep up and TRY my best.

I know there are a lot of us who are doing WW and I would definitely be interested to see your progress as well as others. Hope you have a great 4th!
