We hit Publix this week for a few things.  There really wasn’t much that I needed or wanted on sale this week.  I also placed an order through Vitacost for a few gluten free products using the $10 credit that they give new users.  I’m also in Jacksonville tonight getting ready for a coupon workshop tomorrow, and might make the long drive to Fernandina Beach to hit Harris Teeter super doubles…

Publix:
Total Before Sales & Coupons: $54.11
Total Spent: $19.80
Total Saved: $34.31 or 63.4%

I grabbed pickles, pasta, pasta sauce, frozen vegetables, milk, bread, a few others things and a couple boxes of phazyme… gotta love a few money makers!

Vitacost:
Bob’s Red Mill Tapioca Flour, 20 oz, $3.22
Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour, 22 oz, $3.59
Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix, 16 oz, $3.93
Subtotal: $10.74
-$10 credit for new users

Total:  $5.73 (after shipping)

These are all $4.50 + in my local stores, so to basically get them $1.91 each is awesome!

    • One of these days i need to take a picture! Today was my first day delivering Weekly snacks to my sons preschool (they were out of $$). I split the following into 2 transactions:
      10 jars Musselmanns applesauce
      8 boxes Quaker granola bars
      12 boxes fruit snacks
6 bottles wish bone ranch dressing
      6 boxes graham crackers
4 jars bertolli sauce (not for preschool!)
2 boxes phazyme (yippeee! Finally got some!)
      6 containers Cool Juice.
I think I am missing a few things too, need that pic!
Anyways, I only spent $37.25 and saved 72%. I am very excited, hopefully the cool snack items keep coming so I can continue to help the school!

      Are you gluten free?

    • AmberHollister

I am really excited about the workshop tomorrow! Thank you for teaching us. I can’t wait to meet you and learn even more!

    • Carolyn

Jenny, are you doing gluten free now b/c of health problems with gluten, or just because it is healthier?

      • My husband is, I love bread so much that it would probably kill me… he is doing it because of an intolerance to gluten though.

        • Bethany

Yay, yay!  I just found out my husband is gluten intolerant and I’m still trying to coupon even with our dietary needs.  My son is aldo allergic to dairy, eggs, soy and peanuts but even with those 5 restrictions I can still find great deals thanks to you!

I’m glad I waited till the end of week to go to CVS with all the extra coupons that came out. I bought $63 worth for 95 cents.

Jenny, i don’t know if you have Big Lots near you, but for the past several months they have had a lot of Bob’s Red mill products in the store. They sell for around $3.50, but if you can catch it with the buzz cluc 20% off, it is pretty cheap.

    • Justme

If you’re going gluten free you should check out the crockpot365.blogspot page. All of her recipes are gluten free–i think.

Dear Jenny and girls I have to tell you this. last week  my lovely husband bought me a present at MICHAELS  I loved the present HE is so sweet.  I was afraid to ask if he buy it  at regular price  but didnt want to ruined the good intentions and because I KNOW there was coupon for 50% off, that was killing me so decide to look for the receipt and I FOUND IT  I was screaming when saw that yes he paid full price for that so I went to michaels today  return it and they gave me the 40.00 dollars cash  back .ran back, got another one and buy it  again same item, and with the coupon only pay 20.00. now I have my present and 20.00  the thing is that I DONT KNOW IF TELL HIM ABOUT THIS OR NOT but how can you pay full price for something if you can get half off I didnt want to waste  those 20.00 dollars hurts just to think about it. WHAT SHOULD I DO?  any advice or comment thank you  in advance .

Don’t mention it to him, it will just make him feel bad.  You got your $20 back, so be satisfied with that.  He probably didn’t know that there are always 50% off Michaels coupons out there–my husband would not have known.

show him what an awesome wife you are. buy him a gift with the $20!

I did great at Publix this week. Latest shopping trip at Publix included a big stock up on the Iams dog food. I spent 43.08 but tax alone was 24.03. . I shopped at several Publix stores and divided the transactions down as needed to optimize the savings and follow coupon policy. I also can submit rebates for Run In Run Out. We chose to buy the larger bags of Iams instead of the trial ones we previously bought at Target.
The trip included 28 7lb bags of Iams Dog Food, 9 pkgs of Tena, 36 pkgs Whiskas Cat treats, 2 bags of Kettle Chips, 12 – 12 pks of Soda, 4 yogurts, 8 boxes 100 calorie snacks, 4 bottles Lysol, 2 pkgs Monteray Ravioli.
Total before coupons, 507.67 savings 464.59, OOP 43.08 (includes 24.03 tax)

Publix:  $70 for $12.  My best one yet!  Thank you, Jenny!!!!

    • Good lord why would you use gluten free if you don’t absolutely have to! I have celiac disease and still feel like it’s a jail sentence for my taste buds most days…
