I took a few weeks off from Friday Finals thanks to having a baby a few Friday’s ago!  This week I still have no shopping to share other than sending my sweet Husband to the store for milk and orange juice.  He did great and only brought home what was asked (well he did through in some ice cream as a surprise for me).

I confess I didn’t ask for his receipt, but I doubt highly he saved much if anything.  For me the true savings has been given to us from sweet friends and neighbors.  We have had a number of meals provided so that we’ve not needed to shop (which is a huge blessing to a post c-section mama).  I had also done prep work to get meals and needs stocked up before Ada was born, so I’m hoping we can make it through May without any big shopping trips.

Things are going well at the house, but adding a 5th person on top of the other things going on has been a challenge.  Someone asked me recently if we are getting into a routine… and my honest answer is that through the weeks after Mary’s surgery and Ada’s delivery we have not figured out a routine, but more figured out that it’s okay to have a time in life that doesn’t have a routine.  For my type-A personality that was pretty big to confess, but it’s very true.  We are playing lots of games, taking lots of naps and taking it one day at a time.

For everyone that did make it the store this week, share how you did so we can all celebrate with you!  Leave a link or a comment with your savings.
