I had two great trips this week!  While it may take time to print a shopping list and cut coupons, the end result always is worth it.  I feel like high-fiving everyone as I walk out the door (in slow motion of course).  This week I gathered coupons for two stores and spent about 30 minutes total getting ready, in the end we saved over $120… well worth my 30 minutes!

Publix:

I snapped the picture above right before paying.  That doesn’t factor in another $7.50 in mobile app offers back either!  The cashier laughed at me until the receipt printed and saw how much we saved vs. spent.  Most everything I grabbed is on my shopping list.

Totals
Purchase Value: $124.34
Spent (after mobile apps): $39.65
Saved: $84.69 or 68%

CVS:

I wasn’t planning a trip until the great B1G1 Revlon and $4 off Almay coupons came out.  With those and some CVS coupons I already had for both brands, the idea of free makeup was too much to turn down.  Here’s my shopping list.

Totals
Purchase Value: $59.61
Spent: $4.62
Saved: $54.99 or 93%

ECB Back: $20

I paid with coupons and $20 in ECB I already had.  Grabbing 9 items total for $4.62 isn’t bad at all, including 3 boxes of cereal!

I have a great coupons week too. I just love CVS and their cashiers are awesome.
I went in with $11 ECB. I spent $41.38 which is more then I normally spend but I hadn’t shopped in a couple of weeks and everything I got was things we needed and will definitely use. Total value $189.97 which is a 78% savings. I got makeup (I’m sure everyone did this week) I got toilet tissue, paper towels, loads of gain pods and tide pods, greeting cards, body wash, and list goes on.
I checked out 4 times. Between what the red machine gave me when I went in and all the coupons that kept printing on the bottom of my receipts, it was super fun. I’ve never had the cash register receipts be so good to me. I got several coupons twice, like $2 greeting cards. I got 2 – .99 cent cards twice. Plus, it printed me $10 off $50 orders.
It’s funny, but I usually plan my trips down to last detail but I hadn’t had time so all I had was a few items that I had wrote that were good deals plus I did have all the hot coupons that popped up this week. We have several computers so I had plenty of the hot coupons.
I also did a Harris Teeter trip which was also great. I spent $94 but I save $108. That’s like 53% saving. This included 8 bags of cat food and 2 jugs of cat litter that I donated to Eastern Animal Rescue and Sanctuary. E.A.R.S. for short. Check them out on facebook. This young lady is doing some great things in Eastern North Carolina.
Thanks Jenny for all you do for us.
