This week I feel like going to the grocery store was a big accomplishment.  South Carolina has been in a bit of turmoil as have most of our neighbors in GA and FL.  Grocery stores started running out of bread, milk, water and other items on Tuesday and I don’t think they ever got restocked.  We live far from the coast, but the craziness for us was all the evacuees coming to town.  Maybe it was the beaches way of showing us what summer is like for them…

I did head out to Publix and get some fresh fruit and the last gallon of milk (we had to go with whole but you can’t be picky here).  We also got a great deal at Rite Aid with coupons that expire Sunday, so don’t miss that one!!

Publix Totals:
Total Purchased: $48.15
Total Spent: $26.88
Total Saved: $21.27

It’s not amazing, but it was still some savings.  Most of the folks around me looked like they were happy to have food, so I’m going to go with them this week.

Rite Aid Totals:
Total Purchased: $60
Total Spent: $17.13
Total Saved: $42.87

I paid with plenti points I had from previous deals and left with 2000 points (=$20) to use next time.  I also left with a $25 Toys R US gift card!!  You can see all the details and a video I did on this trip here.
