I know it’s not Friday.  I realized I never typed this earlier today when a 5 year old asked me what day it was.  Yeah… you know you’re a stay at home mom when you have to consult a phone or calendar to answer that question.

This week I didn’t go grocery shopping, just hit CVS.  My goal is to go weekly for the next month and break down for you how we bought it transaction by transaction whether in a post or a video.  This week since I’m already late lets just type it out rather than waiting longer for me to piece a video together.

For this first week at CVS I had no ExtraCare Bucks.  I haven’t been in ages, and still don’t really need to go except for diapers.  I ended up going to a new to me CVS that is right next to my unique Bi-Lo that has no clue about coupons.  This store is also as unique, they don’t advertise sales and ExtraCare Buck deals because no one does them.  Sad day…  so on Wednesday night I walked in as if it were Sunday and got every deal exactly as I planned.  The only hitch for me, was that with no sale tags I had to completely trust my shopping list and the trip took a little longer to find items.

Here’s what I bought by transaction.

Even without the ECB back that is still a 73% savings on things that we will use.  I personally loved the diaper deal and could have cried when the $4 off coupon printed for me.

I have $12 towards the deals we grab next week, which is also awesome!  It should mean we pay next to nothing next week!
