frugal date friday progressive dinner

Get ready to eat your way through Frugal Date Friday! We are going to have a Progressive Dinner.

This is a really fun way to spend time with friends.  You can pick as many couples as you would like to join you, but having 3-4 families is ideal.

The Progressive Dinner will have (4) courses:

Appetizers
Salad/Soup
Main Course
Dessert

Each course will take around 45 minutes to an hour and you will also need to leave time for driving from location to location. The closer the homes are to each other, the better.

Sample Menu Options:

Appetizers
Meatballs
-Cheese & Crackers Platter
-Shrimp Cocktail
-Tortilla Chips & Spinach Dip

Salad/Soup
Cesar Salad
Spinach & Strawberry Salad
Roasted Tomato Soup

Main Course
Plum Pork Tenderloin
Roasted Vegetables
-Mashed Potatoes
-Dinner Rolls

Dessert
Nutella Cheesecake Mousse
Chocolate Shortbread Cookies

The great thing about this date is that you can keep it as casual or formal as you like. Each family will prepare one course and the guests will move from house to house.
