For this Frugal Date Friday we are heading to a Soup Kitchen! As the weather get cooler, this is a great chance to serve others.
You will be able to provide a basic need and some encouragement on the side. Some locations will even let you bring older children along.
To get started, just pick a date you want to serve. You can then call or e-mail them to set it up. You can find a soup kitchen in your city by Googling the phrase Soup Kitchen with your city.
You may be assigned to serve food, greet guests, sit and talk to guests, wash dishes, or clear tables. Remember to dress comfortably in something you can get dirty.
Personally know a family in need? You could make a meal and take it to them or have them over.
