frugal date friday take out for two

Sometimes you just need a break from cooking, but can’t spend the money to go out. Our solution: split take out.

We have found this works best with Mexican and Chinese restaurants. You order one dinner size entree and split it. If you don’t think it will be enough food, you can add on a soup, egg rolls, or a couple tacos.

Pop in a movie and enjoy dinner in front of the TV or light candles and make it romantic.

There is no baby sitter needed, no dishes, and it’s a break from the mundane.
