Get gorgeous flowers for someone this Valentine’s day at half the cost thanks to Groupon!  Today though Friday you can snag a $40 voucher to FTD.com for only $20. Go here to get yours.

This is good for online orders with shipping to most cities in the US or Canada.

You don’t actually have to use your voucher for valentine’s but can hold tight to it for a little bit if you have another special day coming up.

      How much is shipping?

      • Leigh

I just looked at a $40 bouquet of roses and the service charge to have them delivered was $18.49!!

      • Jason

I think it's important to note that flowers from FTD aren't “shipped”, they're hand-prepared and delivered by a local florist.

        • GA Girl

Sorry Jason, but FTD now ships as well as delivers flowers. Take a look at one of their websites and it will show you their specail black and gold FTD shipping box. Some of the sites even show a video of how they are packed and shipped right to your door.

Ah, I stand corrected. Did not know they were doing that now.

I think I'll stick with my usual strategy of calling the local florist directly … it costs less than the wire services and the local florist retains all of the money, so it's a win-win.

i'm looking at roses for $30 and the “service fee” is $15… i overheard my husband tell his mother yesterday that we were sending his grandmother flowers for her bday (even tho i think a card is sufficient), so i guess i'll be springing for this groupon!

        • Annieven

But, the way I'm reading it, you'd have to spend $40.00 BEFORE shipping, then pay the $15-$20 “service fee” on top of that. Meaning the actual total price of this “deal” is somewhere around $35-$40.00. Grumble.

Good luck with getting anything by V-day. I looked at sending flowers to AL from SC and the earliest delivery date is the 15th.
