We’re getting into another big movie season and here’s a nice deal on movie tickets! Groupon has Regal VIP Super Saver Movie eTickets for $6.50 each. You can either buy 2 for $13 or 4 for $26.

These tickets can be redeemed at an Regal Entertianment Group theater in the nation.  Better yet, the tickets don’t have an expiration date!

Does somebody know if I buy like say 4 tickets. do i have to use all 4 tickets at once or how?

Question: does anyone know if Regal has a surcharge? For example, I purchased a few “pay $5 for a $10 Fandango credit” deals. When the movie is $11.50, and Fandango charges an extra $2.25 to redeem the deal, the movie ends up costing $9.25. I still saved $2.25, but it’s not as good as deal as I originally thought due to their marleting of it…

From Groupon’s site regarding these VIP tickets… VIP Super Saver tickets are not valid for the first 12 days of “selected” new release films, special engagements or where prohibited by contractual obligations. $1.50 upgrade fee may be paid at the box office for admission to these “selected” new release films. Not valid for special events or private screenings. Surcharge fees apply to all IMAX, RPX, Large Format or 3-D films. **Location surcharge fees may also be applied at select theatres. Regal Entertainment Group reserves the right to change any upgrade or surcharge fee without notice.

Regal is the movie theater, I have been to several of their theaters and never been charged a fee to purchase tickets.  Fandango is a ticket seller, that sells tickets on behalf of several different movie theaters.  I would say they don’t charge a fee for this one.

Read the fine print.  There is a surcharge for certain tickets.  I had a $10 off any Groupon today too so our family of 4 will get to go to the movies this soon!!  Yahoo!

They did this deal with the VIP supersaver tickets back in the spring and I bought it.  They mailed me physical “tickets” that I exchanged at the theatre for the movie ticket.  I’m not sure what they mean by e-tickets this time.  I’ve done Fandago tickets before too but this wasn’t a Fandango deal and even then, I still don’t remember paying anything extra.  I made sure to go to a regular movie and to wait more than 12 days.  We saw The Avengers and did not pay anything extra at the theatre.  Since they sent 4 separate paper “tickets” we did not have to redeem them at the same time.  We still have 2, but I think I will buy 2 more. Here’s the fine print as copied and pasted off the groupon site: Not valid for special events or private
screenings. VIP Super Saver tickets are not valid first 12 days of
“selected” new release films, special engagements or where prohibited by
contractual obligations. $1.50 upgrade fee may be paid at the box
office for admission to these “selected” new release films. Surcharge
fees apply to all IMAX, RPX, Large Format or 3D films, and may apply to
select theatres (I checked only6 theatres that were all in New York City or Newport Beach, CA).
