      what is 'groupon'?

      • Nicolecaroline1023

Its a website that has a list of “coupons” for each major city listed. You select the city that is nearest you, and each day there will be a new deal. Sometimes its restaurants, or other times its stores, gyms, dentists, photography… and the list goes on.

Usually its about a 50%-60% deal off of the full price. For example, you pay $20.00 for a $40.00 certificate to the listed restaurant. Sometimes they offer online deals for photo books, steaks etc., which are the ones that Jenny lists most of the time because it doesn't matter where you are in the U.S., you can still take advantage of internet deals. If you go to groupon.com though, you can look up any city where you live close to or may be visiting soon….

I can't get the Colorado Springs link to work. Does anyone know the zip code?

    • Celie

If I wanted to give my gift certificate as a present, how would I go about doing that? Aren't these online gift certificates? There isn't anything to print out, right? I'm thinking about the steak deal.

      • Emily M.

I just bought 3 of the Steak deals. Be sure to click “gift”. I didn't and it has my name on it. After an hour or so of buying, I got an email with directions to print the gift certificates. I'm excited to have the 3 hardest-men-in-the-world-to-buy-for checked off my Christmas list!!
