Does anyone know any cheap/free ways to get the 2/7 inserts??? I wasn't able to get the papers and I REALLY don't want to miss out on some of these deals! I saw that some people sell on Ebay, but do you think that's a rip off (they sell them in sets of 5..) I'm new to all this..help!!

      • http://twitter.com/lisaneicen Lisa Neicen

couponsthingsbydede.com you can purchase the whole inserts or just single coupons. Cost effective and fast if you missed that week.

Jenny has a traders forum on her sidebar and ask around if there is a local SWAP. We have one in Charleston and we have a blast! Good Luck!

I'm fairly new to this and I'd love more info about the Charleston swap, thanks

          • Lisa

            Debbie,
We have it every 1st and 3rd Monday at 7.

i go to http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com it’s reasonably priced and it’s great when your region didn’t get that one coupon you really wanted/ needed!

      • Heather

We take our recycling to the local recycling center each week, and I always look thru the newpaper recycling bin and find tons of old inserts thrown away / recycled with the paper.

      • HeatherGP

Check your local newspaper recycle facility. People throw away their papers – lots of times with the coupons in them. I get all my extra coupons this way.

    • Lara

Does Harris Teeter allow overage on coupons?

      • Kara

My Harris Teeter does not- the register automatically adjusts down to make the item free without overage. I'm not sure if other's do, but I know mine doesn't! HTH!

        • Marlene, NC

no they fixed their system about a year ago, there are no overages.

      • richnstef92

We have 2 HT's in my town. One does allow the overage and one don't. I like the one that does. lol

How do the B1G1 Q's work during the Super Doubles?

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

Just like any other time, they will not double.

    • newbie29902

please help. I'm able to print coupons but they have no barcodes? Can someone tell me how to fix this issue?

      • Dollarwise

Possibly your computer RAM is insufficient..try printing coupons one at a time or use a computer with more ram.

        • newbie29902

thanks but still not working. its a farely new computer and it worked fine until yesterday. It prints but with no bar code? anything else you can think of? is anyone having problems?

          • tratchel

Mine did this when it was low on ink.

    • brownhaven

Thanks for the information. This is a big help in looking up the coupons till the HT ad is available. When do you think the ad will be availiable? I always wait for your listing since it is so easy to use. Thanks for all you do!

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

The ad is usually available late Monday or early Tuesday.

    • Trishster

Wow, closest Harris Teeter to me is about 50 miles away but with all these great deals, it is tempting to schedule a day trip. Have fun shopping everyone!

      • Sis

Sometimes.. we just have to go for it! Harris Teeter Super Doubles is awesome this week.. maybe you can find another store too that has some good deals.. just remember its a 20 coupon per day limit and HT is very strict on that.. so unless you have 2 cards… make sure to take the best deal coupons to get the most for your drive time!

        • beth

Or take a patient child with you…The child can 'use' the other VIC card and bundle of 20 coupons. We do this all the time at our HT.

          • BSTS

The HT rules state only one vic card per household. Why do some people have to break the rules and ruin it for everyone else? Leave some things on the shelf for everyone. Thanks

            • beth

A HT cashier signed me and my husband up at the same time. I had no idea that this was against their policy. Please forgive me if I have 'ruined it for everyone else'. I did so unwittingly. Like you, I am just trying to feed my family.

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

If you do go, go very early the first day or when your store restocks, otherwise, there will be low stock on freebies.

        • beth

ASK if the shelves are bare of your items. Especially if it is an item they have on special, they will have more in the back!

    • Betty

Harris Teeter will double a 1.00 coupon????? Am I understanding this correctly????

      • Melanie

Yes, they will double any coupons up to and including $1.98!!! Of course, it is only for one week starting this Wednesday.

Typically they double coupons up to and including $0.99.

    • michelle

Hi everyone! I am only a couple weeks into couponing, but i am hooked!! Can you guys tell me what the “tearpads” are that are mentioned as the souces for some of these coupons?

      • nancy

tearpads are located with the item at the store. if i am in a store and see a tearpad or blinky i will take for future uses. today i took a list and looked for the tearpads for next Wednesday. i was half successful. HTH

    • Beth

I need to know where the Kraft tearpads are in the store (Harris Teeter) specifically.
Planning for next week and need Philadelphia Creme Cheese cpn. Thanks

      • nancy

i found them today in the dairy cheese section it was a blinky

    • carmenb

Thank you soooo much for doing this; it helps me out tremendously! You are awesome Jenny!

    • nancy

        what zipcode did you use?

        • nancy

i have a coupon tool bar that gives me extra Qs. my zipcode is 28429
it is not on the pages sorry but if you go directly to the site it will probably give u a Qs. with out the coupon bar. HTH

          • Crystal2756

            Hi Nancy,
How do you get a coupon toolbar? it sounds exciting! thanks!

            • nancy

i downloaded it from Coupons.com website. When you sign in it will ask if u want a tool bar. i am not all the techy Sorry, I hope that helps.

            • Crystal2756

Awesome- I'm going to go download it now :)

    • nancy

1 off hidden valley on coupon.com too

    • Daphne

There's also a $1/5 Hunt's Tomato Sauce in the new Con Agra Rediscover Your Balance home mailer. That makes them $.05 per can.

      • Stephanie

I don't believe that the Con Agra Qs from this mailer will double.

        • Daphne

Thanks, you're right. I didn't notice they start with a 9. Well darn.

          • Amanda

What are the rules again with Q's that will double and those that won't (you said it started with a 9 so it won't double). Thanks.

            • Daphne

Coupons that start with a 5 will double automatically at the register and coupons that start with a 9 will not automatically double. if you catch it, you can ask the cashier to manually double a coupon that starts with a 9. but the con agra mailer coupons say “do not double” on them so Harris Teeter cashiers probably would not manually double it for you.

            • Amanda

              Good info. Thank you!!

    • Daphne

There’s a $1/1 Johnson’s Baby Oil printable here that makes the small bottle free:

      http://johnsonsbaby.com/special-offers-expanded.jsp

And a $1/1 Desitin printable that makes it $1.80 for the small tube.

    • Bettyann

What is a tearpad and where do I find it???????????????????

      • TinaSC

They are usually hanging on the shelf…..you “tear” the coupon off.

    • Daphne

In my 1/24 SS there's a $1.50/1 Sure for men deodorant that makes it FREE.

And a $1.50/1 Pert Plus for Men that makes it $.65 per bottle.

      • Paige

Both HT I went to did not carry Sure For Men.

        • Daphne

It's $2.89 at my HT but it's a newer store.

      • Christi

Some of the bottles of Pert Plus are marked TRY ME FREE too! An extra great deal if you can find one of those!

    • Susan Middlebrooks

Where do you get the “home mailers”?

      • TinaSC

Coupon booklets you sign up for that come to your house in the mail.

    • Newbie

what are internet coupons? would it be any coupon printed via internet including ones directly from company's site? So even if it says manufacturer coupon written on it, I won't be able to use more than 3 coupons a day?

    • Jan

Last time Harris Teeter did Super Doubles, Bloom did too! Yay! Btw, this was only confirmed in Charlotte and Mooresville, NC stores. Might wanna call your store to confirm.

I'm going to check with BiLo this time around too!

      • Brittney

Did you call to find out?

      • Virginia

Bi-Lo has not done a chain-wide special coupon event since they did Triple Coupons in May 2 years ago. So don't hold your breath on that one.

    • http://www.fastfixinfun.com/ Fast Fixin'

      Thanks for including Fast Fixin'

    • luiza

Does that really mean that if for instance: Frosted mini wheats @ 3.99 with a $1.50/2 coupon, HT will ring 3.00/2 at the check out, as the coupon doubles??? This sounds very good to be true, unless of course I misunderstood it… thank you all for your patience in guiding us beginners in learning the tools of this trade :)

      • Daphne

yep. your receipt will look something like this:
        Frosted Mini wheats 3.99
        Frosted Mini wheats 3.99
        manufacturer coupon 1.50
        bonus(or doubled) coupon 1.50

total oop: $4.98 ($2.50 per box)

that's not really a good stock up price on cereal by the way.

    • wendylaine

where are these stores i might travel a little if i have to for these deals! i live in middle TN any nearby that anyone knows about

      • Michelle

      • Sara

There are a couple in Nashville.

There is one in Brentwood, tn on Franklin road!!!

      • CLR

They have a store finder at their website. I'm in NC and I know they are in the Eastern half of the state.

    • cschad72

does HT take competitors coupons? for example – whole foods? thanks for all this fabulous info… still learning!

      • jemalarkey

No, they do not take store coupons from other stores.

      • Sarah

        My HT takes Target coupons.

        • triciaj

Are those manufacturer coupons with a target logo? I'm wondering if they'll take my manu. coupons with Kroger logo on them?

        • triciaj

Are those manufacturer coupons with a target logo? I'm wondering if they'll take my manu. coupons with Kroger logo on them?

      • Virginia

They will take coupons for $$ off your total purchase – for example if you have a Target coupon for $5 off any $50 grocery purchase, they will take that. Their official policy however states that they do NOT accept competitors coupons for $ off specific items – so for example they should NOT take a Target coupon for $1.00 off of dog food, etc.

      • jkhsavings

HT *does* take coupons that you print from other websites, like Target, *if* they say “manufacturer coupon” at the top. Sometimes they have the Target logo but are really manufacturer coupons. If they say “store coupon” at the top, HT will *not* take them.

        • gammaqueen

The Teeters in Lincolnton will not take the manufacturer coupons with the Target logo.

    • Angela_Marie

is it just me or do the REd Plum coupons seem better than the SS coupons for the most part? It could just be sour grapes since I'm in an area that doesn't deliver it to home and it's not in any of our papers. But a lot of the time when I see a great deal I get excited about, I notice it's RP and I cannot has :( Sooo excited for Wednesday…I'm getting my coupons ready tonight because I have to work tomorrow and I want to be ready!

      • julie1916

I think it is because we don't get them in the paper. I have begged, traded, you name it to get the RP coupons from my neighbors. I have noticed that it is only really annoying when I want to stock up on something and only have ONE coupon. I am not sure if they are better or not. If they came in my paper I would be much happier though.

    • Wendy

I'm kinda new at this, but I understand that you can actually see the upcoming ad before Wednesday. When and Where can I find it, so I can prepare for Super Doubles?

    • shickman1

How do you know which HT will do super doubles? I am near Greenville, NC.

      • guest

Usually they all do it at the same time w/ the exception of stores like the Outer Banks. Greenville pretty much always does it at the same time as Charlotte, and the Charlotte area has been confirmed.

    • brownhaven

You have totally out done yourself. This is the best list ever. Thanks for all the effort you have taken.

    • RebeccaFer

Just a note: HT is running an E-Vic promotion called Healthy Smile Pts which I've copied and pasted the info straight from their site below. Now, I'm not exactly interested in using up ALL my coupons for one day of shopping just to get the $5 points but it could easily get me there quick enough. If you bought 20 items listed above, with the qs, you could come close to getting them for free or a couple of extra dollars after you figure in the $5 savings!

      Healthy Smile Rewards Offer

Earn one (1) point for every dollar spent on any combo of Oral Care products between December 9, 2009 and June 1, 2010. Collect 40 points and earn a $5 reward! Products include: Mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, and whitening strips.

Point updates will be automatically printed on your receipt and are based on household spending after VIC discounts. After accumulating 40 points, your VIC household will be targeted with one (1) $5 electronic coupon to be used on your next transaction of $5 or more. This $5 will automatically be deducted on the next transaction of $5 or more, regardless of the items purchased, by anyone in your VIC household, through June 15, 2010. No cash back. No Limit to the number of $5 rewards you can earn.

You must use your VIC card. Offer is non-transferable and valid for VIC customers only.

    • CLR

Thanks for all the great work you do all over this site! I am so excited to have found it….I tell everyone about it! Got some others hooked as well

    • chrystal42

Jenny, thank you so much for all you do for us. I wanted to know if you will be listing the new ad items on a separate blog or if they are going to be included on this one? I am really excited about the Super Double deal and can't wait to hit the stores tomorrow.

    • http://allyharrington.wordpress.com/ Ally

Do you know when you will have a list up that does go with the new weekly add? Thanks again for doing this!

    • http://allyharrington.wordpress.com/ Ally

Also isnt there a limit on a visit as to how much you can get of one item (say the Finish dish detergent, how many you can get in one visit?) – I was pretty sure there is a limit, does anyone know what it is?

      • Virginia

There is no limit to how many of an item you may purchase unless there is a limit specifically stated in the ad. HOWEVER, there is a limit to how many COUPONS for the item you may use. Harris Teeter's official policy is that they will double/triple (whatever they're doing at the time) coupons for up to 3 identical items per day/transaction/whatever. There is also an overall limit of 20 multiplied coupons per day per household/card, and the system does keep track of that so you cannot go to another store with the same card and try to use 20 more coupons – they will not multiply if you try.

        • http://allyharrington.wordpress.com/ Ally

yeh that is what i meant about using coupons on identical items. i have 10 for the Finish Detergent so i guess i will have to go 4 days and cross my fingers!

          • Wendy

If you miss out, don't forget to ask for a rain check. It will extend the sale for you if you don't get all ten that you want.

            • Jennifer Morris

That's good to know you can ask for a rain check. Thanks

            • Renee

You should definitely ask for a rain check, just remember, they will only double the coupon for it during this sale.

            • natkins

FYI- I checked the coupon policy today and they will NOT give rain checks for items that they run out of during this sale. I'm sure each store is different so you may want to check with your individual store.

        • amylaurenscott

Yeah- I had 4 printable coupons for cat treats- $1 off. The treats were $2, so therefore, they were free. I got three packs, but the cashier wouldn't let me get the 4th path.

However, she KEPT my coupon :(. That means I can't even go back today and use it or anything… and I reached my print limit. Bummer…

So just make sure if you have too many, you might have to ask to get your coupon back!

      • jennifer

there's also a limit of 2 internet coupons for the same kind of item, even when they are manufacturer coupons.

        • Sara

So you can use 2 coupons if say you cut one out of the paper and then you print one off the internet BOTH coupons for the exact same item???

I know Rite Aid lets you do that but I wasn't sure with the super doubles???

    • Megan

Any trick to getting the soft scrub coupon to print. It says error every time I try to print it?

    • VBeach Native

My husband and I are so so grateful for all that you do Jenny! You've helped us cut down our grocery bills SO much during a trying financial time. We really appreciate all your hard work.

    • Christina

What time will the 24 hour stores begin the Super Doubles? I'm thinking about driving 40 miles to the one in Charlotte, but not unless I know I'll be getting all the deals. Thanks!

      • shickman1

I have the same question..I will be traveling 45 miles to Greenville, NC (Even though they said they are not having the SD) What time should I get there?? When does it start and when will the ad for Super Doubles show up online?
        Thanks,

        • Melanie

I live in G'ville and usually go shortly after 8:00 and have never had any problems getting anything that I wanted. Did the store here tell you they would not be participating? They have always done what all the others do in the past.

    • susan1019

The deal sound great but just a reminder to those in the Mooresville, NC area…..if it says on the coupon DO NOT DOUBLE….they will not double this coupon. I have been corrected at both locations! So…check the coupons and have some fun! :)

      • shannon

Hey. I have found in Mooresville and Lincolnton that it really depends on your cashier as to whether or not they will enforce the do not doubles. It is helpful to me to make friends with these people so that I know who is working and when! :) Just makes life a little less stressful.

    • chrystal42

Does anyone know if there are any $5 for $20 or other competitor coupons for $$ off the total purchased, out there right now? My H.T. accepts these and I would love to use them this week.

    • wendylaine

when will their weekly specials show online

    • carolyn090

so if it says do not double then it wont . darn, i will have to go everything again and do a little more math so glad i found this out today instead of tomorrow , thank you all

    • Megan

Any idea on how to print the soft scrub cleaner coupon. when I try to print it says error?

    • Will

I just seperate out my order, I put three of each like item and pay out. The ndo three more, kinda time consuming but gets me all my free stuff

    • megan10

Any tricks to getting the soft scrub cleaner coupon to print. It says error when I print it?

    • megan10

Any tricks on getting the soft scrub cleaner coupon to print. When i try to print it says error?

      • Crystal2756

You may just need to use a different server- internet explorer instead of firefox- or vice versa. Is your computer pop-up blocker on? Sometimes that will prevent things from printing for me. i didn't have any issues with the soft scrub coupons personally but tend to run into problems on occasion with other sites.

    • zionsmama2007

This might be asking a lot…but can anyone tell me which of the tearpad coupons listed above are current ones? Like I could go in the store now and find them? I'm just curious since I don't have some of them and am wondering which ones to look out for when I go…..

    • mlaugh0321

Thank you so much for all you do. This list is a wonderful help for me and I would never have the time or the wisdom to create this on my own. You are such a blessing!

      • Sara

Also, V8 Fusion at my HT in Charlotte (University) was 3.75 NOT 2.50!!!

      • Paige

The single count of Wholly Guacamole is 1.99 (7 oz)

They had some Diego Toothpaste for .94 and Pampers baby wipes are on sale for 2.99 so I used a 1.00 off coupon to get them for .99 – good for me!

I have tried for 2 days to print the softscrub and Muir Tomato Paste without success. Has anyone else had problems?

    • KC

V8 Fusion at the Folly Rd store in Charleston is 4.15 – so would be 2.15 w/Q – pretty good, but not free :(

    • judahfour

Be mindful KC. I made that mistake yesterday. The v-8 splash is 4.15 bu the fusion is 2.50. the two are not shelved side by side so you may not notice it straightaway. I didnt realize my mistake until i went to the folly store after leaving the west ashley store. Verify it on your next visit

I went to the Nashville HT today and NONE of the yogurts or Bayer were on sale for the stated price. They did look at their sales ad and it wasn't listed in there for the stated price either. I don't know if Nashville has different pricing or not…just a heads up…

Hi there. So, I just got back from a pretty frustrating shopping trip at HT. None of the freebies that I was interested in were actually free! :( The Hunt's tomato sauce, listed at 45 cents for an 8 oz. can, was actually 58 cents on sale at my HT. The Dannon DanActive Probiotic Dairy Drink, listed at $2 for a 4 pk, was actually 2 for $5. I'm wondering if various HT stores can price differently than corporate lists? I know that the match-ups were put up early so everyone could get a head start….were they changed when needed to match the current sale ads?

I went in with my list in hand, quite excited, and half the things I looked for were higher priced than on the list. I found a few things, like Cheese Nips were $2, but, of course, were all bought-up. Is there any chance that either a store would not advertise its unlisted sale prices or that prices truly may vary per store?

      • Anonymous

Price truly vary from store to store. You can go on Harristeeter.com and use the “online shopping” section to price things in your area. Maybe your store will be listed and you can get exact prices for sure. The store in my city does not have online shopping- so i use a store in the next city over and everything is always the same price at my HT as listed for the surrounding area here. Try that! If a store close to you has online shopping it should give you a great idea of what you will be paying.

Actually- I can’t remember what but 1 or 2 things ended up being part of my “super doubles” because of coupons I had and I would not have thought to use these q’s had I not checked the prices online and found out they were on sale this week :)

Do they take competitor coupons? Like can I stack a publix baby club coupon with a manufacturer coupon?

      • kelly1369

nm i found the answer to my own question :(

We were at Harris Teeter in Williamsburg last night from 11:00pm til 1:30am. They would not accept my B1G1 on Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Cleaner Refill because it was an Internet Print. Any comments? The Dannon items were 2/$5 which made the $.50 instead of free, but that was OK. On two sets of 20 coupons saved $92. paid $39. going back again. Thanks for all the info

      • Lindsay

i had this same problem with the scrubbing bubbles… even after talking to the manager. they also won't take the combo of the BOGO and the $1.50 off 2. that's the second time i've had a problem with redeeming coupons in so many days. VERY disappointed in HT.
