    • Angela

I thought you posted earlier that the 8 o'clock coffee is BOGO?? I have my coupons ready!! Please tell me it wasn't last week!

      • Sarah

It is, but it's in the ad – so it's on the other list. This list is only for things that are unadvertised.

    • karen

      Thanks Jenny

    • Angie

If a coupon doubles and it's more than the amount of the item does Harris Teeter apply that towards the rest of your purchase or will the coupon only take off the amount of the product? For example, if I buy the Lysol wipes at $1.69 and use the $1.50 off coupon which will double to $3 can I use the extra $1.31 towards another or will the coupon only take off $1.69?

      • Sarah

Coupons which double to more than the price of an item are automatically adjusted down. In other words, there is no overage.

        • Angie

          Darn:( Thank you!

          • Melissa H

Lately at my store every time they do SD I have been getting overage, but it might just be a computer glitch. If it is, it's an awesome one!

            • Angie

Ok…I bought two of the Lysol wipes and used the $1.50/1 coupon. It doubled to $3! I guess maybe that's because it was a bogo so I was technically paying $3.38 for one and getting the other free. The sun-in coupon only doubled up to $1.74.
The fruit in the middle mini wheats weren't on sale so I didn't attempt to use the coupon on another kind. Good thing cuz my cashier was all about the rules. I bought 4 of the bogo Lysol wipes and she was only going to let me use 1 coupon so I had to explain that I'm paying for 2. Their policy says you can't use a coupon on the free item but only 2 of the 4 were free.

      • Valerie

In Charleston, HT does not give an overage. I do not know if that is a store by store decision or corporate policy.

    • Mmadden2

Awesome, Thanks for all your effort!

    • Tablovescoupons

WOW!! 3 lists!! Awesome! Looks like I will be going to the Teeter more than once this week to get my super doubles!! Thanks, Jenny, you're awesome! We appreciate all of your hard work!

    • What about the Philadelphia Cooking Creme??? I thought that was going to be on sale for $2.99??

      • Rossjulie

The Philly Cooking Creme is always $2.99 at my HT. That's the everyday price.

    • Great list(s)!!! I can't wait til morning! :-) thanks so much!

    • Rossjulie

I HEART list 3! Thank you Jenny!

    • Winediva

Can someone help me with the math. The Coffee-Mate Creamer is listed here for $2.29 and then it has use the $.55/1, make it $.19. How is that? If it doubles the $.55 shouldn't it be $1.19?

      • I agree, I think it should be $1.19.

        • Winediva

If that's the case, then I can go to Lowes this week and get Baily's for $.69 each :) The only Baily's coupons I have right now say Do Not Double, so I guess HT is out :(

          • Tinfoilstarss

most likely as long as the bar code does not begin with a 9, it will still be doubled at HT. My coupons are always doubled even when they say DND, and I've brought it up to 2 different cashiers and each said that if the cash register doubles it then they won't change it. I'd try to use the Bailey's coupon at HT if I were you :)

            • EB

Some of us have HT that very strictly enforce the DND. The cashiers read every coupon and separately punch in the DND so they do not double.

        • Krist3n218

          i think its a typo.

    • Treadwayal

I looked at the coupon policy and it says only one coupon can be used for the B1g1 offers ….. does that effect this price list?

      • ann

you can buy one product and use one coupon. They ring up half price. Depending on your cashier they may scan two coupons if you buy both items at once, but their official rule is that you may only use one for the two items. I usually play it safe and just buy one item per transaction.

    • Sbigham3

The Ken's steak house dressing coupon I have is a $1 off 2, not a $1 off 1. Was there such a coupon perhaps in another area?

      • Krist3n218

yes, there was. but the 1/1 expired feb 28th (i believe) unless theres another one since. i only have the 1/2 now..

      • Rossjulie

Yes, we got the $1 Q from our inserts in WA State.

    • Rand2000

I really really really want the La Croix Water, but I can't find the coupon for the life of me. When I go to the PRINTABLE and enter the zip code “90210” I don't see any sign of it. Any ideas? Thanks.

      • couponer**

Me too! I want it too! I couldn't find it using 90210 or a few others!!

      • Kathy

        I couldn’t find it either.

    • Susupurple

3 super doubles lists, this is great!!!

    • Angela

Is there a coupon clipping service that you can use that doesn't require a minimum order? I have a list of a few coupons that I would love to get, but it isn't enough for a $5 minimum. Thanks.

      • singlewoman26

I have coupons up on sale on Ebay. My user name is singlewoman26. To find me in the search box type coupons and then click advanced and scroll down to 'sellers' and put a check in the box and type my user name in the space and click search. If you are looking for a particular coupon and its not listed let me know. You can inbox me on ebay. I ship next day. Hope this helps you!

        • Angela

Thanks. I took a look. I don't need 20 of anything. I just need one or two of each coupon. I went through a site tonight — selected 20 coupons, and then didn't have the $5 minimum that I needed. I really don't stockpile that much — I buy lots of fresh, and I couldn't think of anything else that I needed to make the minimum.

      • Kcreviews

I use coupon beat dot com–there is no minimum.

    • Tyedyemomma

Thank you so much! This will be my first big couponing experience! I am so excited!

    • Renee

Where do you get the Spring Family Gatherings Booklet?

      • JL

Publix but the coupon sare manufacturer q's but say redeemable only at Publix which measns mst HTs will not take them.

      • Meg

        I think Publix

    • Christina

      OK, here's a question…
I have 2 coupons for Kens dressing ($1/1) and a rain check for buy 2 get 3 free. Can I maximize my savings by combining the b1g1 and the rain check and the super double coupons all in one shot by purchasing 10 dressings?

      • Meg

        Yes that should work!

      • Yes you should! I used a raincheck for BOGO on A1 @ Lowes Yesterday (it was already on sale for $1 off) bought 5, used $1 coupons on each and saved over 90%!

    • Adele

I am pretty sure that the Silk coupons are 'do not double' which really stinks. My HT are sticklers for DND….. I was soooo hoping to get some free (or close to it) almond milk for the kids.

      • Laura

The sale is on the Soymilk… The Almond milk (according to their online Express lane) is not on sale. At least the Silk Almond is not.

        • cs

I guess it depends on the store you are shopping at and what coupons you have. My express lane shows the Almond on sale too, not just the soy. I was able to get $1.25 coupon off their website and it will double.

    • Oh Man! I think I will have to take something to be able to sleep tonight! I'm excited and nervous!
My HT has been taking 2 q's for BOGO items for as long as I've been shopping there. But I'm always afraid my next trip will be the one where they stop doing it. Imagine! Full cart and 2 toddlers, telling the cashier I need to put things back! Oiy!

Hope everyone has a wonderful trip! Leave some for the rest of us :)

      • Kk

Make them put it back. Tell them you don't want it then.

      • Pnutter

Mine used to do the same thing and today they didnt. I just told them I didnt want the other item. Ill go back later this week anyways so I will get it then.

    • JamieLeigh26

Oh I just found another freebie! I have a coupon, from the newspaper, that is $1 off 1 pkg of a rice “Minute Steamer”. Harris Teeter sells these for $2 (as noted on their online store). So this week it should be free!

      • Tyedyemomma

I have that one too!!! Yeah thanks for posting :)

    • Guest

THANK YOU! Hope they aren't out of everything tomorrow. :)

    • Ashleyjackson9781

Newby here…I have 2 $1.00 off chinet item coupons that will double to $2.00 off. The list says they are 3.96 and one free. Or 1.84 each. What is the best way to buy the plates? I don't need the plates I only want them for free or almost free.Help me please!

      • Christina

Buy seperately. One at a time.

    • Kaitlynn Leigh

if something is b1g1 i know you can only use one coupon as per the policy, but since they ring up half price, cant you just seperate the transactions?

      thank you :o)

      • Ipreferpublix

At the stores in Nashville, they have the coupon policies at each register and handwritten on them in large black sharpie is “MAY NOT SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS TO USE COUPONS ON BOGOS” or something like that.

        So…. not here!

        • Couldn’t you checkout, put your bags in your car and come back in for your next transaction?

      • 777kellie

Its the policy. Some stores you can use 2 I know you can at Bi-Lo

      • cs

I do that, or another way to get around it is to pick up 2 varieties then the register wont beep if you use 2 coupons. Like say it was bogo ice cream, pick up chocolate and then one vanilla and then you could use 2 coupons. If you picked up 2 chocolates though you couldnt. It sees it as 2 different products if you switch up the varities.

        • Not to be a party pooper- but this is now against their policy :( They changed it to read all flavors are considered “like items”. The policy also states that orders cannot be split up to avoid these coupon limitations :(

          • cs

just looked at the policy on here and could not find that at all in it

          • mamabelbel

How can they enforce not splitting up orders? I can kind of understand if I do 2 transactions back to back at the same register with B1G1s split up just to avoid their policy, but if I want to buy 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon or one every day or one at 4 different stores, I believe that is my choice as a consumer. The whole thing is silly in the first place, but I am all for following their policies so that they don't make it harder for all of us to get the deals in the long run.

            • Kathy

I think that just means that you can't do back to back transactions. You can go back at another time and get the same items.

    • Ipreferpublix

The Spring Family Gatherings coupons listed on here will NOT be valid for any sale at Harris Teeter. These coupons all say VALID ONLY AT PUBLIX

So… Can only be used at Publix!!

    • Spieldose

Sorry if I'm dumb… but I'm a bit confused as to why there are three lists. I prepared from all three, but I'm confused.

      • Jessdare101

The first was reg. price stuff or stuff that was on sale at the time of the first list. The second was the ad, stuff that was advertised this week and the third were deals that weren't in the ad but are on sale in the store.

    • Srgordon

Aunt Jemima Waffles Pancakes or French Toast is on sale at my HT B2G3 free

      • Okangela

        Mine too! :)

        • Kcreviews

Mine too, which made for a great deal! And don't be put off by the “12-14oz.” stipulation in the flyer. My CSM said it didn't matter if the boxes were over 14 ounces, they would all count. Thank goodness, because there were no pancakes under 14 ounces in the whole store!

      • Cmroberts 0304

Oh I hope mine in Charleston has them on sale B2G3, that would be great.

        • Getfit2526

They do have them this weekl

      • Pnutter

I was coming to post the same thing!!

    • Mmadden2

I just got back from a rather disappointing trip. 2 different stores refused my internet printed smart balance milk coupons because the scanner wouldn't scan the bar code. Both places refused to punch in the code to make them work citing their corporate policy that only internet coupons which scan will be accepted. Now that I look closely at them they are quite dark and the lines are very close together. I haven't changed anything in how I print coupons, usually this isn't an issue. Really a stinker as the coupons make the milk .50/half gallon this week. Bummer…

      • kathy

I've noticed that a lot of my printed coupons seem to blur the bar code now!! Everything else prints fine…above and below the bar code. Very strange.

    • Xraychik512

I'm putting this here because it won't let me type a comment on the 2nd list.
For the meal deal, the $1 printable coupon for the Gortons Fish Sticks is for a grilled item. Can this still be used for the fish sticks?

      • I had the same question.

        • Dgarcia

          It worked for me.

    • Tonya

Smart Balance milk coupons are DO NOT DOUBLE. It isn't in bold or does not stand out in any way but they cannot be doubled!

      • Guest

I shop at a HT in Charlotte and had no problem getting the Smart Balance coupons to double. They did automatically in the system so I got 3 of them for free.

      • Cynthiaring1309

Look to see if it has a “5” at the beginning of the bar code. If it does and even if it says DO NOT DOUBLE, it WILL double.

      • AmyQ

My milk coupons in Winston Salem NC doubled this morning!

    • eli

I am trying to help a friend get started on couponing. So I have a few questions – since I am from FL and we don't even have a Harris Teeter here and nobody here doubles coupons – very disappointing!

Anyways – how do your b1g1's work. Do they each ring up half price or is it a true b1g1 like we have here in florida (first one rings up full price and second one free) – also from what I'm seeing you can only use one coupon on your b1g1 deals right? Any advice on how to help her learn the rules??

      • eli

Also – one more question. Will they only double 20 coupons per visit – or is it just 20 super doubles and the rest will double like normal?

        • Couponbarbara

They will only double the first 20. After that, they only take the face value of the coupon.

      • cs

b1g1 rings up half price. you can only use one coupon on b1g1 but you can kinda fool the system by buying different varieties, or just do another transaction

    • Amanda

Question- Can you only use 3 of the same coupon per day or is it per week/sale? Thanks!

      • Sarah

        Per day :)

        • Amanda

          Thanks!

      • Kathy

Per transaction. (As long as you don't go over the 20 limit per day) My HT said I'd have to leave and come back to do a second transaction though so keep that in mind.

      • Tiffany

I believe 3 coupons per visit for same item. I went to HT today and used 2 coupons for the BOGO Log Cabin they rung it up and didnt say a word. Also they had a whole bin of Degree Men’s & Women’s deodorant for .99! So that is free!!!

      • Tiffany

    • LULU911

Question – How many like items will HT allow you to buy? (for instance, Bi-Lo has a limit of 10 like items) TIA!! = )

    • KK

Got up early and went to HT this morning about 7:30am, and the Smart Balance milk was almost completely gone. I ended up getting some that was lactose free.

      • Angie

I went around 9am and there was still a lot but the guy stocking shelves saw me looking at it and said “better grab that now. Last time there was a sale and a coupon it was gone in 3 hours and I thought I had enough for at least 3 days”!

    • Tyedyemomma

I just got back and managed 77.00 of groceries for 13.00! Thank you so much Jenny!

    • Stacey

First, thanks so much to Jenny for this awesome site! I would like to share that at my HT in Greenville, NC this morning, I was charged for the shells and sour cream in the meal deal. When I noticed the error, I went to Customer Service. Wow, what a rude lady! She stopped speaking to me half way through my ordeal with her and in the end gave me my money back. She tried to just dismiss me at first showing me my Free items, but I had to point out 4 times that they charged me for the sour cream and shells, luckily I didn't buy much today and only had 2 other things on my bill. For people spending and saving a ton, it would have been almost impossible to show. Watch your receipts! This was the first time I have ever argued over a price and I felt terrible after. I sent a note to Corporate about it, we will see what they have to say. I just saw that they have a scan guarantee, which of course she didn't mention. It was like an Act of Congress to get $2 back from her. I was being nice and there were other people in line behind me. I also tried to explain that they need to fix it, or they would be plagued with it all day. People were buying the heck out of the meal deal when I was in there.

      • Veganmom7

I shop at the Greenville NC stores too, I prefer the one by ECU but at the “new” HT, if I have a problem, I try to get the manager named Shelly, she's super nice and has always been helpful. The other manager, a very “manish” middle aged woman has always been incredibly rude and unhelpful.

        • Stacey

I go to Bells Fork for the most part, it is closer to us and right by my daughter's school. I cannot wait for the new one to open, although I love the manager at Bells Fork, he is VERY helpful and friendly. The place was packed at 9 this morning so he wasn't around. This CSM is always rude. I have been couponing there for a couple of years and it seems she always wants to challenge my Q's when she is called over. Once school is out, I will have to make an effort to go to Bells Fork and it would be just as much effort to go to ECU, I might give it a try although store layouts throw me for several trips lol!

          • Sparklecat2009

I shop at the Bells Fork store also. I am not opposed to either location but there is an older cashier at the Charles Blvd location that is not pleasant and is really not happy when she sees coupons.I was really surprised at some of the things they were already out of by 8 am. I didn't do the Meal Deal and all of my items rang correctly. No issues. The manager that was there this morning I think is named Shelly. She can be abrupt but she has always been nice enough in my experience. It looked like she had something unsettling going on with the Homestyle Mac & Cheese and a customer this morning. I go to Bells Fork b/c my overall experience is better at that store!

      • Ashley

thank you soooo much for posting this – I just checked my receipt and they charged me too for the shells and sour cream. This is not the first time I've had this happen at HT (I usually always check my receipt before leaving the store but I was in a hurry today). I will be returning tomorrow for a refund. I'm in RH, SC – we'll see how apologetic they are.

        • Sarah

When you go back for your refund, see if there's a blond CSM wearing glasses (Kimberley) – she's always super nice!

        • cs

I am in Rh also, though I go to the one in ft mill. If you havent tried that one they are always nice about any issues that I have had there.

      • Margoren

Same thing happened in Newport News, VA. I bought two meals (separate transactions) and 1 box of shells and sour cream was not free. I did notice this before leaving and got my money back!

        • TheChapleigh

I seem to remember that the meal deal, this time, has a limit of 1… maybe that's why you were charged the second go'round? I usually buy more than one of the meal deal, going back throughout the week, if the freebies are something I use a lot of… I will need to find out for sure on this one.

PS. LOVE Jamestown & Williamsburg ;)

        • Stacey

This was my one and only transaction at the store today. I bought the meal deal and lysol wipes. My store was sold out of everything else on my list. No idea why it went wonky but the manager called my house tonight and left a message. I plan on calling him back in the morning.

          • Greenville NC Shopper

Which Harris Teeter did you go to?

      • Kcwalters70

No reason to be rude to you…I mean, the ad is what it is, and it's not like you're asking for anything other than what they've advertised to ALL customers!…glad you got your money back…also today was the first day I tried eVIC coupons, and they came off at the end just right! so I was glad about that!!

    • Chris

Thanks for my great savings this morning. I didn't know this, but Harris Teeter (at least ours in Chesapeake) does not honor internet buy one get one coupons. What a bummer.

      • Kcreviews

Yep, same with mine. I'm not sure any accept them.

      • Kcwalters70

Mine doesn't either…or anything free for that matter if it's printed online…

      • AmyQ

Ohhhh bummer! I used my palermo's pizza BOGO there and they didnt have a problem with it. I did that deal many times (i went on separate days whenever i was in town, and i had printed several coupons from our two computers and from my mom's computer). there was one time where the manager had to do an override for it, and she said, “oh, we're not supposed to take internet frees”, but then i said that it was BOGO, and sinse I was actually having to buy one, then I didnt think that counted as a “Free”. So she said that made sense to her and she put it through.
I'm am seeing more and more with HT that ymmv BIG TIME! I'm not sure why all of a sudden they're killing themselves with their coupon stickling now… they're probably about to lose some valuable customers.

    • guest

I just had the worst experience at HT I have ever had. The lady in front of me had a number of q's, but I didn't mind because I did also. The CSM on duty came over to override a b1g1 for her. She then took my cart to another register that was closed, and before she would scan anything, she picked my cart apart item by item and matched it to the q's I gave her. I almost felt violated. She made me feel like I was some sort of criminal or thief. After my transaction was complete, I stated to her that I would never be back to HT because of the way that she had just treated me. I couldn't believe it. I have been shopping at this HT for years and this was a first.

      • Wow…I would have also felt embarrassed to be scrutinized in such a way.

      • Kcwalters70

I wonder if it's because of that Extreme Couponing show b/c now all of a sudden my regular HT won't let me use 2 qs on b1g1 items that clearly ring up separately…and before it was no problem…I hope you have another HT in your area that you can try…sorry that happened to you.

        • Dfgdfg

I think that show is going to give a lot of stores the idea to start nit-picking all coupon users!

          • Tiffany

I think “Extreme Couponing” is a double edged sword. It got me started couponing but it will also cause grocery stores to be more aware. A few bad apples can spoil the bunch, ya know? I agree they will probably start limiting their Q policies more and start nitpicking. Too bad just when I got started…but I will keep doing it because I'm still saving more than I used to!

      • Coupondiva25

I also had a terrible experience today at HT my cashier would not even try to scan the coupons that were for my clorox wipes which were on sale b1g1 and I had a $1/2 coupons which would have made them 0.50 a piece sweet right until I got the cash register and she told me that because I was only technically buying one that I couldn't use my coupon. Then my lovely cashier told me they could only double two printaboe coupons of the same thing in one transaction ewww I was mad I really dont understand what the deal is how am I suppose to stockpile when I can only get a few of each of the items ended up spending around $150 for $$300 worth of food not that great especially when I usually do at least 60% on groceries. I'm definitely going to try another HT in my area we only have three :/. If they are going to advertise super doubles they need to let us get super with it if ya know what I'm saying :).

        • lr

store policy- you are tehnically only buying one and so one coupon per item purchased. This is for ALL HTAlso- there is a limit to three coupons per like item. So, in effect they do not want you to stockpile. They do not want you to come in and clear the shelves out with 18 coupons on the same thing. Your cashier was incorrect about doubling only two- 3 is the limit. Check Harristeeter.com for full coupon rules

      • Coupondiva25

        • Sparklecat2009

The HT coupon policy does say that they only double 2 internet printables for like items and it is their policy to accept only one coupon for BOGO items. It is a YMMV kind of situation. I rarely hear of people trying to get around the internet printable policy. I can appreciate their limits as it allows more than one person an opportunity at a deal.

      • Lulubelle

Ya know, it's really HER PROBLEM. Yes dealing with coupons & couponers is a bit more work for the cashiers but they are paid to do so. I have had cashiers give me attitude because they don't want to do their job, what's with that? I follow the store rules and don't misuse coupons. I am always polite and nice and if a store employee is rude, tell H-T. They are known for their customer service. at least in NoVA.

      • Laura

Sorry, but I'm not really seeing how you were “violated” Just because she checked to make sure your coupons match up? Not saying that you would ever do it, but the store has to protect itself from coupon fraud. It sucks sometimes, but there are

        • sdwave23

Absolutely understand how she felt violated. When they start of scrutinizing your coupons, matching items they are insinuating that you are trying to get something over on them and that does make you feel awful! That is not at all how they should treat people. Again, scan the coupons like they always do, don’t pick and choose how you treat different customers depending on your mood or how big the coupon binder is! That is discrimination and it is rude!

      • Cshireman

You should definitely let someone higher up the food chain know. Obviously they do this b/c they make money elsewhere by getting customers in the store w/ super doubles. They can't afford to lose a customer in this economy. Their customer service is how they get people to come in & pay their high prices. I bet you might even get a gift card out of it! I wrote old navy about a particularly bad experience and they sent a $15 gift card.

      • guest

I would just like to add, I was not trying to get anything past them on their policy. I was purchasing some items that were b1g1, but I only needed one, so I only bought one. She stated that the first item rings at full price, second for free. I showed her the ad, and she refused to accept it. Same attitude from manager. I left these items sitting at the front. I did purchase any items there were not problems with, as I was getting amazing deals on these items. I saw a large number of other couponers in my store, which has always been uncommon. I am happy to see other people couponing, but please stop trying to be like the psychos on tv. Those people have a serious problem. Its not very considerate when you buy 100 coupons for the same thing on eBay and then go to every HT within a 100 mile radius to use all of them and clear the shelves of every HT. Other people would like the opportunity to buy items also. But either way, after this experience this morning, I will not be back to any of the 7 HT’s in my city. I will be going to Lowe’s Foods and Food Lion.

    • Kcreviews

Had a great transaction at HT this morning. I got $90 worth of groceries for $30! The only thing that bummed me out was some other couponers clearing the shelves getting 6-10 of each thing…and the store was already out of a couple of things and I was there at 8:30am!

One other good thing is that the boxed Wanchai Ferry Sweet and Sour Chicken dinner kit was on clearance for $3.79 and with a $1 printable q it's only $1.79!

      • Kcwalters70

LOL…me too…my bill was about $90 down to $30…I did pretty good…however I posted yday about going to another HT that wouldn't let me use 2 qs on a b1g1, and my regular store usually does…and then today my regular store didn't want to let me use 2 qs on the frosted mini wheats (which are b1g1), however I was buying the NEW fruit in the middle which were not b1g1, so she ended up scanning both Qs…and a few things were out on my shelves also…good job!

      • Breana

I had the same experience. There at 8:30am and a lot of things were gone. The manager said there were several ladies there at 4am ready to check out at 7am with cartfuls.
frustrating when people take it to the extreme. But I did well… $90 of groceries for only $35. And that included milk, fresh stew meat, avocados, and dog food.

        • Mdavis1205

how do they get carts full, we can only use 20 coupons, and 3 like coupons.. I mean I did reallu good today, my order was $82 and I spent $6. Do they kow something I don't..

          • cs

they probably use more then one card, (which personally I think is wrong)

          • Gregc1414

The manager said they had multiple vic cards, which is not aloud… but I guess to avoid an uproar they let them checkout & then linked the cards together.
I don't understand the need to clear the shelf. This shouldn't be a competition!

        • Carolina Coupon Mom

How was this possible – unless they had multiple VIC cards. Our stores are pretty good about enforcing the 3 like coupon limit and I respect that.

      • Laura

I also got about $90 worth of groceries for around $20! It was actually a little more then I thought it was going to be, but still a great deal!

I went to my HT around 12.30 and they were still fully stocked on everything! I've been doing this for over a year now and I think this was my first trip where I got everything that I wanted. I actually went back up to the front to make sure they were having Super Doubles since there was hardly anyone else in the store.

      • LIZA

THANK YOU for mentioning the shelf clearing. I arrived at HT at 7:50am when the sale started at 7am. I spotted a few ladies with their cart LOADED (40-50) of the same item. Each of them! I was so frustrated. It is just really rude! I just all of us couponers could work together instead of 'ALL FOR ME'

    • Couponcollectorqueen

What zip do you use to get the La Croix water coupon??

    • AmyQ

Did super great today Jenny! Thank you so much!!
      Spent: $42.56
      Saved: $170.24
Great shopping trip! I was so excited to get the smart balance milk!! I went to my main store, and it was all sold out, even the soy milk! Then i checked another one on my way home and they had just a few left! I was able to get 3 cartons today! I am so excited!!

    • Shannon

Did pretty well at my HT here in Charlotte. A little bummed because 2 of my coupons said “Do Not Double” and the cashier looked very carefully over each one and wouldn't double those two. Total before coupons and VIC card 164.34, after: 58.13.

    • Mojojess3

There was a coupon for $1 off 2 Ortega shells in my Gordon's Fish sticks boxes.

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

There was also an Ortega display with a tearpad of $1 of one. It's DND and the UPC starts with a 9.

    • Littlebopeep021

I had a sort of good day at HT. I always try to go to this one certain cashier b/c she is super nice and plus doesnt harrass me about my coupons, however she was helping someone else and I gladly went to someone else. Well, when the cashier rung up my coupons for the Bailey Coffee cream she said, “I cant double these b/c it stated on the coupon DO NOT DOUBLE”, if I have had my other lady she would have dont it. Second the lady tried to rude about the Lysol Wipes. Thats ok I'll come back tomorrow and get the other one or I'll use my mom's VIC card. I'll get my dang on wipes. So there u snotty lady!!!!!!!! But all and all 50.00 and I get it for 14.14. Pretty dang on good for me.

    • Angie

From what it looks I'm not the only one who had a “not so perfect” experience!! My cashier was wonderful and patient, the manager, not so much. Apparently not all sales are ringing properly at the registers so they had to go item by item to see what was ringing correctly, only like 4 of my many items did… the manager was saying I was lying about the price on the shelf and I had to physically show her…. then for her to say I was reading it wrong when it says item rings at half price. To her defense on that though, the shelf says rings at half price, but the register for the first I've seen before rang it as one coming off free, so I had to do 2 separate transactions for my coupons. But my Juicy Juice Sparkling Juice was marked on sale for $1.99, so my $1 coupon doubles…FREE… however it did not ring on sale and the manager with an attitute says “Well I guess this is yet another one you have to show me we have marked!” Needless to say, I kept my smile, apologized to the cashier for causing so many issues, and the cashier says, “Don't apologize, it's not your fault, I'm sorry you had to deal with HER.” I love that cashier, she is always so nice… But overall I did great, around $60 worth for $8.88, around 85% savings!!

    • Mojojess3

FYI Check your receipts! Others have posted and I went and got mine and my HT also charged me for the taco shells and the sour cream. So tomorrow I will go and get my $2.69 back :)

    • Tgriggs777

HT sure does make it harder to coupon any more. I hate the rule about only using one coupon on B1G1. They wouldn't even let me use one coupon that said “save $1 on two” for the Ken's dressing. Looks like we're going to have to focus on buying things that are ,i.e., 2/3.00 so we can use two coupons. I asked them if I were to buy just one item that B1G1, doesn't it ring up at half price? The answer was yes. Then I can use a coupon on that, right? The answer was no. I was told you have to buy 2 items to use one coupon. I noticed a couple items slipped by, though, when I got home and looked at my receipt. So, it is totally dependent upon them catching it with their eye. If I can't use a coupon, I just have them take it off. There were carts FULL of stuff they have to reshelve from people saying to take stuff off. I understand policies, I really do. It just doesn't make sense to be able to buy one item at half price, but not be able to use a coupon on it.

      • queenybaby

This exact thing happened to me last night at the Robinwood HT in Gastonia, NC. My girlfriend got to buy 2 of the Ken’s dressings, but I was told I had to purchase 4. My cashier argued with me about EVERY item I was buying. She was being a little bit too picky. When I told her I didn’t want an item she would mark through the bar code and write yesterday’s date on the coupon. I was so mad I ended up complaining the manager then I called Corp. this morning.

        • Kjr Rbnsn

So, the items you didn’t want, you should have gotten the coupon back, right? I want to understand what happened. I live in Kings Mtn and usually go to the HT in Shelby, but I want to make sure I understand correctly in case I go to that HT.

    • Couponallison12

Someone may have already written this, but the Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats with Fruit in the Middle have a mail-in rebate inside the box for the full price of the item. I also had a $1/1 coupon, so I should make a profit of $2 (minus the envelope and stamps I'll have to use heh). Also, the Nature's Own bread that is B1G1…the multigrain flavor had a coupon for $0.55 on it. It doesn't double, but that was $1.10 off for a total of $2.09 for two loaves of bread. The only issue I ran into was that you have to buy 4 of the lysol wipes and lysol toilet bowl cleaners to get the B1G1 deal. I only had one $1/2 coupon so the deal ended up not being as great as I'd hoped. Oh well! I paid $65.41 (after the mail-in rebate) for $161.24 worth of groceries. Not bad considering I started couponing last week. :)

      • DianaY19

My HT only has the regular mini wheats on sale, not the one with fruit in the middle and the coupon is only for the fruit one.

    • Littlebopeep021

Just to let everyone know that is having a hard time with the b1g1's. I have had that problem before and I have went to the manager and explained that, that is not what there policy states. I told him and I'm buying 2 and even though my coupon stated $1/2 that no where on HT policy stated I can not use that coupon on any b1g1. Ever since then I havent had a issue. I have learned that for the coupons that say save 1 on one and the item is b1g1, I buy one and come back later and get the other one that way I only pay half pay for it plus I get to use both coupons.

    • Shannon

Definitely check your receipt. I got home and noticed my State Farm Corn Dogs rang up at $3.99 instead of $3.55 (the advertised price in my store) I went back to the store and they gave me them both for free.

    • Everyone seems kind of negative today…so here's something positive!

I am thrilled to be able to get so many Seventh Generation products for cheap this week! FREE paper towels and .99 dish detergent! At the store today, the Seventh Generation Baby Wipes are on sale for $2.99, with the $1/1 coupon, you get 70 wipes for .99!

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

Completely agree! Today was my first time for free paper towels. Loving it!

    • Marlene R.

I just posted this on HT's facebook page – I think you should like this status (before they delete it …)
Dear Harris Teeter – I am posting this here because there are a lot of coupon users out there who would like you to consider changing/clarifyint part of your coupon policy which seems to be hit or miss when you get to the check-out. “We accept only one coupon for Buy One Get One Free items”. It's okay to use a $1/1 coupon and only g…et 1 item on a BOGO deal, since it rings up 1/2 price, but some cashiers will not accept a $1/2 coupon for 2 items. Bi-Lo, Food Lion and Lowes Foods do not restrict their coupons like this. BOGO items ring up 1/2 price – you don't have to buy 2 – so why do I need to buy 4 items to use $1/2 coupon? Please please please make it easier on your customers and your staff and stop restricting coupons on BOGO deals. Thank you.

      • Marlene R.

and it's already been deleted – oh well I tried.

        • Laura

No it hasn't, its still there.

    • I did better at Lowes Foods this morning than at HT…. What a bummer with this new BOGO/Q/enforcement of the policy thing!

      • Laura

Its not new, its always been their policy.

        • Thats true. My problem is that they are just now starting to enforce it and throwing a wrench in the works. I am a rule follower, but I'd rather follow Lowes Foods' rules now. :)

      • Bobasett

Gretchen, I totally agree! I was highly upset over their all new enforcement of their policy! I called Home office and they said they would pass it on! I asked them to post a sign on the door or say it on overhead that coupon policy is now being strictly enforced!

        • You would think they would allow 2 q's on BOGO being that their prices are almost insane…. oh well. I got Cin Burst Cheerois for 50cents at LF today so Im a happy girl.

        • Michelle

What is the point of having a policy if it isn't enforced? There are plenty of places to shop for groceries these days and you can still save a lot of money without trying to cheat the rulebook.

      • Sparklecat2009

I really like Lowes Foods. I went this week to get a few things and they are so easy when it comes to coupons….. I love their coupon policy and the store in Greenville has a wide variety. I think that their meat prices are very good which is not always the case at HT. I love HT but Lowes is slowly winning me over!!

    • Ardnasfu82

Spent $17.21, saved 93.23! Total was 110.44 before coupons and VIC savings. 85%!!! Woot Woot!

    • guest

I didn't see it listed anywhere the Pyrex is 25% off this week for most pieces. That was wonderful for me since I'm helping my daughter try to furnish her first apartment!

    • HT_employee

Hi couponers! I just stopped by to see what coupons are out there this week, and what issues are happening with them. As an HT employee its very important to me that ALL of our customers leave happy. Although super double week is an especially busy and exhausting week for all of us, its the only time I see some of my favorite customers. Working in a small store has created a bond with my customers as a whole and made me eager to make sure they are always satisfied. That being said please don't hesitate to bring your concerns to the customer satisfaction desk in your store. In our store we would much rather honor a $1 Q rather than lose years of your business. Thanks for shopping and saving with your Harris Teeters! :)

      • Luna

Hi! Our NoVA H-T is the friendliest store around but sometimes the cashiers seem annoyed with the extra work involved with coupons. Thanks for letting us see what the other side of the check out lane is like. WE APPRECIATE YOU!

      • Carolina Coupon Mom

It means a lot to me that you took the time to come here. I shop in Durham, NC at the two stores on Hwy. 54 and had a fantastic day of shopping on the first day of super double week. Kudos to the pharmacist! I was looking for Bayer (the one on sale) and he came out and wrote me a raincheck. He said it was the first one he ever wrote and it was the first I have ever asked for. Very impressed!

    • Tiffany

Question: If you buy the Fish Stick meal deal…can you use coupons on Ortega and Gorton's too? Plus double them since they are super doubles this week?

      • Sarah

Gorton's, yes. I used 2 $1 off coupons & they doubled just fine. Ortega, no – HT doesn't allow coupons on items that are already free.

        • Vlwallac

I used coupons on the “free” items just fine – i guess it went to overage. I used (2) $1/1 Gorton's, (2)$.50/2 Ortega, and (1) $1/2 Breakstone sour cream

    • Luvnvrfailsmh

Heads up!!! I found a $1.50 off 2 coupon tearpad for Mission products. The flour tortillas were $1.99 each, so $1 for 2 and the chips were BOGO, so FREE. Also, the bottom of the coupon was a $10 mail in rebate for any meat! WooHoo, free chips, super cheap tortillas and $10 in free meat, limit one per household!

      • Banksfam

I also found these at mine!!! I have made the best nachos I have ever eaten!!! LOL!!
But the mail in rebate is only one per household. But the coupon is worth getting a hand full!!

    • Ashleyjackson9781

anyone know where to find the 2.1 oz butterfinger snackerz at HT? Not in the reg candy isle.

      • Sarah

Both stores where I shop keep them up near the registers, with the gum & other candy/impulse buys.

    • Ashleyjackson9781

Sent hubby to HT for our first couponing. I was pretty jealous but he works 35 miles away right next to the nearest HT. He stopped by after work today w/ my list and coupons. Du Du dun…..before coupons $34.00 after coupons $16.00. Wasnt able to get free chinet(sold out) or butterfingerz(couldnt find). We got rice steamer, homestyle mac, 2 box wheat thins, 2 freschetta pizza, 2 Tonys pizzas, coffee mate, 3 birdseye veggie steamers, sweet tater fries, shredded minis w fruit for $16 !!!! I am sooo sold on Couponing!

    • Sarah

I don't know about anybody else's expectations but I for one am VERY pleased with my trip today! Sure, a few things were out of stock and yes, it would have been nice to get them – but I spent $7ish for $80ish of groceries. I'd have to be pretty nervy (not to mention out of touch with reality) to complain about that!

    • JTTLC

I have rarely gone to a Harris Teeter as there is not one in my town. I am thinking about driving 20 minutes to one in Indian Land, but I am not sure if it is worth it. Does anyone have any experience at that particular store? I would hate to waste my gas and get a bad store when I could have gone to my local Bi-Lo (which is where I normally go). Thanks for any insight!

      • Chefashleyhuber

I drive 40 plus minutes so worth it for us but its the only store that doubles for us

      • Amarien82

I have never been to Indian Land before. But how far away from Matthews are you? I normally go to the one on new town across from the Target! They are always great there.

      • Yazpistachio

        THIS IS AN EXCELLENT STORE.

It is my favorite, I’ve never had a single problem there. And they are usually well stocked! I wonder if being away from a heavy residential area has anything to do with that. . . There is a large retirement community next door (they even have their own golf cart path to the store!), but the older folks don’t seem to need as many groceries. Just my observation.

    • couponer**

Quick question that I should already know the answer to – If I have a q for $1 off of 2 of something (say, $1 off of two Healthy Choice meals), will it double and be $2 off of 2?

      • Sarah

Yes (unless it says do not double, and sometimes even then) :-P

    • Tcrawley2

Pretty good day today…Hubby is out of town, so I had to go in later than normal for me…..shopping with 5 kids is hard enough…much less at 6:30 am. I went around 8 and then again at @2 to use my mom's card for her. The only things I wasn't able to get on my list were the lysol wipes and the crackerfulls that I had a rain check for. We paid $4.57 for $197!!! I'm thrilled with that since we don't really have any evic coupons/ catalina deals that give us “overage” this week. So glad my favorite “guys” were ringing up….so far, I've not had any problem with the bogos and coupons, but I have heard of others at my store having issues with this with other cashiers….we'll see what the future holds.

    • iheartthecoupons

I went to my HT this morning and bought 2 of the Buitoni pastas, the sign read 2/$3.00. I had 2 $1.00 off q's. Got home read the site and decided to look at my receipt, they charged me $3.99 a piece, so I called and was told that they was no sign they were $3.99 each. What should I do? That is a huge difference $8.00 vs free! Thannks for any advice.

      • Laura

Which one did you get? At my HT only the linguine and Fettuccine was on sale. I was a little bummed since I was wanting to get the ravioli and tortellini, which were regular price at 3.99.

Did your coupons not come off either? It should have only been $4 that you paid for 2 of the pastas if you didn't get the ones on sale.

      • Monicanc72

Man, that would be a bummer. I would go in and talk to them personally. I have found that our HT is wonderful about making things right. Even when I am the one that made the mistake, they still will honor what I thought the sale was for because there advertising was not clear. Good Luck.

        • Laura

Well at my HT, it was CLEARLY marked that only the linguine and fettuccine were the ones on sale. Just because some items are on sale doesn't mean they all should be.

      • CCShad

If you go back to the store and see that the signs are for the ones you bought, I would go to c/s desk and get it fixed. I was at HT today and saw that only some of the pasta was on sale, the fettucine and angel hair.

    • Sweetie2643

a few deals i found in store: Glade Tough Odor Carpet Powder has $1 off peelies ($2.55 reg. price) = $0.55 and Colgate Toddler Toothpaste was on sale for $2.49 = with $0.50 coupon = $0.49!
spent $86 and saved $134. 65% savings! this trip included my normal weekly shopping! bummed that all the good freebies were gone (kraft mac/crackerfuls/danactive) but i didn't get to store until 6pm.

    • Sweetie2643

my HT manager told me today that they would not accept competitors coupons for individual items anymore. i politely told her i thought that the HT coupon policy stated that “HT will accept competitors coupons but not double them”. i wasn't trying to get this coupon to double btw… she informed me that the only competitor coupons that they will accept are “$5 off total purchase” type of competitor coupon. anyone have this type of issue or know how i can find it in the coupon policy??

      • Laura

There is a link at the top of the page for Harris Teeter's coupon policy. Under competitior coupons it says “We gladly accept local competitors' manufacturer coupons. We also redeem circular or direct-mail coupons for money off of the total order.” So yes, they only take coupons that are for money off the total order.

        • Sweetie2643

to me that statement is stating 2 different policies: 1) they take local competitior coupons (which is what i had) and 2) they take circular/direct mail coupons for $$ off total.
its not “We gladly accept local competitors' manufacturer coupons THAT ARE circular or direct-mail coupons for money off of the total order”.

          • Sarah

You are correct. I work for HT & we recently received a memo about competitor coupons.

The old policy was that we only took them for money off the total order. The new policy is that we take them if they are a manufacturer coupon (for example, a Catalina printed at Bi-Lo) *and/or* if they are for money off the total order.

In short, the only type we don't accept is store/retailer coupons – like the Target direct mailers that come to your house & say “Target store coupon” on them.

            • CCShad

I have manufacturer's coupons that say “Redeem at Publix” or “Redeem at WalMart.” Will HT take those? Thanks.

            • Sarah

Yes ma'am. As long as it says “manufacturer coupon” it doesn't matter which store it suggests you redeem at – HT's new policy is to accept them.

            • CCShad

              Great! Thanks.
Coupons(dot)com had $1/1 Hidden Valley Salad Kit, making it free. I didn't use it today b/c it said Redeem at WalMart, but I may try it tomorrow. I am more hesitant to use the manufacturer's coupons that say “Redeemable at Publix stores only” Language is a little stronger there!

            • Heather

when did this go into effect? I was stopped yesterday for using a coupon that said “Redeem at walmart”. mind you, walmart is across the street ( literally) so I owuld think it was a competitor.

            • Sarah

It was changed in the online policy (on the HT website) about a month ago? We didn't get the memo in the store until maybe a week later, but we did get it…

            • Heather

Maybe if it was corp wide, then the employee had not heard yet. I know my store, everyone is super nice and I appreciate all they do~ I have seen others bring employees to tears over super doubles, and IMO there is never a reason to be hateful to another person over a dollar. My manager was so sweet yesterday, I am expecting any day now and she didn't even want me to push my own cart around! And the meal deal charged me for the taco shells, but she quickly corrected the problem too. I really do appreciate all they do to make shopping there more pleasant, which is why I buy a lot from them.

    • Mpusser

Wow, sounds like some good trips today and some bad trips today. Just wanted to say I saw 4 ladies with their binders at my HT in Aberdeen, North Carolina this pm around 8. Can you believe NO smart balance milk, lysol wipes or toilet cleaner?!?!?
Was excited to see other couponers there!

      • Katie

I was at HT at 7 yesterday and there were only 2 Smart Balance milks left. Since they were on sale last week for $2.50 and there was a $2 coupon out there, they were pretty much already sold out before super doubles even started.

        • Mpusser

I ran into that last week also….got the rain check though! So still a good deal but it would be nice to not have to make 2-3 trips just to see if it is in stock, after gas not really saving. Oh well such is life!

          • Cheryl

I REALLYknow what you mean about multiple trips, as I live over in Eagle Springs!

    • Tanyamhouse

I was pretty happy with my trip today. I got over $100.00 worth of groceries for $12.00. Not too bad. My sis hit the mother load when they marked down 93% lean ground beef to $1.00 a pound this morning.

    • Dani

I just want to say that the cashier that rang me up this morning and the manager on duty at the Harris Crossing store in Wake Forest are awesome! The cashier was so sweet even offering my son a balloon. The manager gave me NO issue about my competeter Lowe's foods coupon AND neither one of them acted like I was trying to rob the store, steal, cheat people, or that I am a horrible person for using coupons. I got $172 worth of groceries for $57 which included tons of meat and produce! Yay for my new store!

      • Ivey Godfrey

I was shopping at the same store at 6:30 this morning! They were great for me too!

    • Brooke

Like a lot of other people today, I had an issue with not getting all of my meal deal for free… I was charged for both of my boxes of tacos (total of $4). When I brought my receipt back to the manager at Customer Service, I actually had to explain to her how the meal deal works… umm, isn't that something they should already know? Then she tried to only refund me $2, because she said “If you're paying a total of $8 for the meal deal, and there are 8 items included, then it's basically $1 an item, right?” Even though it clearly said on the receipt that I'd paid $4 for the two boxes of tacos! I probably spent at least 10 minutes explaining things to her… it was almost comical :) Anyway, all in all it was a good visit for savings… got about $60 worth for about $10 :) Good luck to everyone else out there this week!

    • Banksfam

I had an small but correctable issue today with the Philly Cooking Creme. I had the $1.50 off 1. As I already knew it was not going to double automatically, but when the manager came up she DID NOT want to double it. I read the whole coupon to her….. NO where on it does it say DO NOT DOUBLE….. She tried to say that they have no control over it not doubling it…. I politely said…. Doesn't your policy state that Harris Teeter will Double Manufacturer Coupons up to $1.98 Face Value as long as it does not state do not DOUBLE. She still did not want to double it….. Now she says that the 9 in front of the SKU number means DO NOT DOUBLE!! (like I didn't know about the 9) ;) I politely said Im sorry I don't read SKU…… And to me that 9 doesn't mean anything!!! She then Doubled my coupons!!!
Thanks Southern Saver for having me ready and knowledgeable…..

Any one else had this problem? By the look of the shelves, she had been overriding those for hours!!! LOL

      • Nani

she was right. only coupons that start with a 5 will double. dunno why but thats how it works!

      • Laura

So you lied to get your way? Wow….

      • Amyingle

And people like you are going to get a lot of our coupon deals taken away!!!!! Thanks a lot!!!!!!

      • trianglemom

        Sorry youre getting negative replies.

You were totally right! Its not up to the customer to read the SKU. If the company dont want it doubled they should print it on there and they didnt.

I have no issues getting an override for “9's” that dont double bec doublilng those DOES fall in to their coupon policy.

        • trianglemom

I have no issues getting an override for “9's” that dont double bec doubling those DOES fall in to their coupon policy (eta – provided it doesnt state DND).

    • Nicole Nickle7

If you have the $100 Proctor & Gamble book there's q's that are $1 off any Always products & the Always panty liners are $1.39 so they're free. Just thought I'd share! Happy Savings!

    • Mianani70

I am not too happy with HT either. There was a big sign at the High Point NC store with a list of the rules. I understand the need for rules, but the way it was written and underlined, like people with coupons was stealing from the store. The stores are PAID back for the coupons! On the other hand, I'm not too happy with some fellow couponers. I understand the stock pile issue and try to keep things on hand. But I think a few of us have gotten greedy. Could you please save a few items for your fellow couponers that can't go to the store at 4am? It's almost no longer with the trouble.

On the bright side, thanks to the person(s) who left some valid coupons on the shelf. There was one for a product that I didn't have a coupon for, so it allowed me to get a great deal. ….Let's paid it forward and treat each other well!

      • Americanbaby27

I agree that its almost not worth the time. I went to Lowes Foods yesterday around 10am and they still had everything I wanted. I think I will go there from now on.

Someone left a coupon for Smuckers at my HT. I was going to buy it anyways without a q (oh the horror!) But that was a nice suprise! I leave some around stores too so it goes to show that things always come back around, good and bad. See! There are good people out there still!

Hello I went this evening to my near by HT in Charlotte NC and did well I saved 73% of my bill. I did run into a couple of questions. The Dial mens body wash is listed as being on sell for 2.99 here but in my store it was 3.99 as well the purex fabric softner is listed on here as being 2.99 but again the item in my store was 4.99. I was just wondering does it differ from store to store or how that works. Thanks for any help…

      • heather

Yes, all sales can vary by area~ sometimes from store to store in the same area. This list is a general idea of one area, but if you have Express Lane at your store, you can always check the in store price there yourself before you go.

      • Yazpistachio

Hey, I’ve had similar trouble, and I live in your area too. I think overall the whole Charlotte area is more expensive– a large portion of the population (especially in the south of the city) has the money to spend. (Or the credit card debt, depending on how you look at it LOL!)

Anyway, I always go knowing there is a good possibility I won’t get as good of a deal as listed here.

Like many of you, I have had both extremes of good and bad experiences with shopping at Harris Teeter. I like to write the corporate office or give praise reports to the manager regarding employees who are more courteous and professional; employees who are doing their jobs well are often overlooked. Just a suggestion: the next time you have an encounter with a superior employee, thank them for their kindness and also mention them to the manager.

    • April Mclaughlin

I don't understand why Harris Teeter only allows one coupon for a BOGO when you get two in the same transaction?? I can easily buy them in two separate transactions and use two coupons…doesn't make sense.

    • ChristinaWhitehurst11

I'm with you all.. I love Harris Teeter but it really disappointing when I get there and the shelves are cleaned. But what really bothers me that I get one type of milk that my kids can drink and HT is the only place that sales it. They are always stocked… And the first day of the sale there are none.. Can we get what we use? This is my personal thoughts of the Extreme Coupon, I love to save. But I think some of them are like hoarders, but very organised.

    • CCShad

Great trip this morning, $34 for $150 worth of groceries.
If you printed the $1.50/2 Tollhouse cookies a while back, they are on sale for $3, so $1.50 each after doubled coupon.
There also was a $1/1 Frosted Flakes printable a while back.
Someone posted before the $2 Transocean crab meat with a link for $1/1 coupon. My store had one with a $2 off manager's special! So, free without a coupon.
If you like the Bubba Burger Black Angus, it is on sale for $8.99. I bought those to get my OOP total up to $40 so I could use their $10 off $40 coupon.

    • Linda0827

I have a question about the coupon policy.
I am very new to couponing and this will be my first trip to HT with coupons can some break the coupon policy down for me.

•We accept 20 double coupons per day per customer/household with VIC card; all others redeemed at face value. No orders may be separated that would allow the 20 coupon limit to be exceeded or any other coupon limits to be exceeded.

Does this mean I can only use 20 of the same like coupons for example

      20 coupons for 20 mustards
or does it mean i can only use 20 coupons on my whole shopping cart

      thanks in advance

      Linda H

      • PDB

It means that they will only DOUBLE the 1st 20 coupons, with a face value less than $1.98 during Super Doubles. ($.99 other times). You can use as many coupons as you want.

HT policy allows for a maximum of 3 coupons per like items per trip (so only 3 of those mustards). (Or only 2 if you are using internet printable coupons.)

        • Linda0827

Thank you for breaking it down for me.
now i can shop with all the coupons i have
woohoo cant wait to start saving money

          Linda

I have to vent a little! I went to Harris Teeter last night and was so pumped and excited, I had my list and coupons ready to go. My husband got the kids to bed so I could go and have some peace and be able to enjoy some grocery shopping. It takes me 30 minutes to get there, I live way out in the country and as we all know gas is not cheap but I knew or thought it was going to be worth the trip, more than half of the list I had of things were gone. I can't be there when the doors open, I thought well it's still the first day of the sale so I'd be ok, guess not. I just wanted one of alot of things and ended up not getting hardly anything. I'm very discouraged now. I have noticed some people in the past having people with them with a cart getting things for them so they can go over the limit. People are getting carried away with trying to have massive stock piles, I just wanted to get groceries for the week and with a very small budget to go on. Just a waste of gas. Sorry for the vent, I feel better now.

      • heather

I'm sorry, i have noticed as well the first day of a sale isnt the best time to go unless you can get there very early! My store gets trucks on thursday nights and sunday, so monday mornings and friday mornings are usually best. Also, I have very good luck trying towards monday or tuesday anyways~ many people already have been out couponing and everything is back on the shelves. Unlike most sale weeks, HT is hit or miss for super doubles, but usually if it is just a regular coupon ( under $0.99) matched with a sale item, you can always get a raincheck that ever expires~ it wont work for super doubles since the coupon over $0.99 wont double, but most of the time that helps when there is a good sale so you know you will still get the deal next time.

      • tammy f

ask when they get their next shipment in-most of the time the items get restocked 4 or 5 times during the sale-if not get rainchecks they do not expire

    • Worriedgirl

i went to harris teeter yesterday and walked out VERY upset. half of the “deals” you say are deals really aren't. the neutrogena men's shave gel isn't even SOLD in harris teeter. i went to THREE different stores looking for it. the land o lakes margarine is 2/$4, not $1.50. the dial bodywash is $3.99 and is not on sale. there are a few others also. please update with current sales.

      • GreatfultoJenny

Get over it, not all stores carry the same items. You should be happy that Jenny took her OWN time to put together a list for all of us. If YOU don't like it, do it yourself

      • mamabelbel

There are variations by region. This list is a starting point but you also have to check your own ads and the signs in stores. Not every store has every item. The neutrogena gel wasn't on my list, so I can't speak to that but I do know that it must be sold in some Harris Teeters or it wouldn't be on the list or show up in the Express Lane online. Jenny is helping us out with this list but it isn't like she works for Harris Teeter or something. Hope you have better luck next time.

      • CJ

don't be ungrateful… if you feel like you could do a better job, I'm sure Jenny wouldn't mind you making your own list lol

        • tammy f

          amen sister

      • sheila

I've also gone to get the “deals” on here only to find that they are NOT at my stores BUT I”m am so grateful that someone else will take the time to even attempt to find theses deals. Sometimes its a hit or miss and they pretty much tell you that. So unless YOU want to do it ur self (let us know how that goes) my advice for what it's worth. Take a deep breathe and go on to the next one. :-)

      • It's always a good idea to check your Express Lane from HT online before going out!

      • Sarah

        How rude!

Jenny provides us with this site free of charge. She's not obligated to help other people find bargains, and as far as this specific sale goes, she doesn't even HAVE a Harris Teeter in her city to verify the prices they post online.

Perhaps you would be happier taking your ungrateful attitude elsewhere.

      • OMG you are so rude. It's not like you like are paying to use this website. AND you should always check your local weekly flyer online if something is that important to you. Jenny has helped me completely change the way I shop and I am forever greatful to her and this website for that. To complain because a deal didn't work out for you is just absolutely ridiculous. Wow!

      • MsBumble

If your not happy don”t follow the guide, you have a choice. It's working for some of us. And don”t be so worried “girl” pray…

      • Nita Royal

Considering that this site is free, no one should feel entitled to the help we get here! Many of the deals and items listed aren't at my store either, but I don't sweat it…..they will be cleared by the time I get there anyway. ( As much as I appreciate this site, I sometimes with it WASN'T so popular ;-) . Instead of griping, I put my effort into finding deals that are not listed here….we need to be self-sufficient: learn to fish, not wait for Jenny to feed us!

      • YourBusIsHere

I'm new around here but even I know better than to cirticize this free service. As you can see the community does not tolerate it and you will be pounced on! Have some respect or kindly find another website.

      • Mdavis1205

That is very rude and inconsiderate of you to say. Jenny works very hard daily on putting the sales and coupons together for us. How could you be that ungrateful. Jenny from the bottom of my heart I thank you for all the hard work and dedication. God bless you and your family.

    • anninnc

I was dissappointed to find out AFTER i checked out , they DO NOT accept BOGO coupons printed off the internet…..but do accept them from printed newspaper….darn that palermo's pizza would have been an AWESOME deal…..

      • Raynesmw

Do you have a Food Lion nearby? You can get both for free at FL. I sent my husband in w/ my coupons (ha ha) and he got 4 for free.

    • Ashlee

There is a Weber Seasonings $1 off coupon. They are on sale at HT for $1.99 so they are free this week!

      • Jo

Check your Q. Mine started with a 9 and did not double :(

        • Nicole

yeah I used that coupon last week and it did not double–it was marked “do not double” and started with a 9

    • Stacey

I just wanted to share a follow up to my negative experience yesterday at the Bells Fork (NC) store. The store manager called and apologized, we talked about what happened and he said they watched the video tape! I didn't even consider that. He said it clearly showed everything I said and that my ordeal took over 7 minutes and that was unacceptable. I really appreciate a store that reaches out to it's customers and suggest if you have the slightest issue, talk to corporate or the store manager about it. I was urged to come in and introduce myself…etc. So I will be going back, as planned, to check on the stock of things I wanted to get but couldn't the other day because they were out and I will be talking to them. The store manager called me yesterday and today, but we are having Tornadoes this afternoon, so I had my Lowes Food run to do this morning ahead of the storms.

      • tammy f

i am in greenville nc also and the store manager at this store is awesome!!!!if you ever have a problem there he will take care of it

        • YourBusIsHere

Nice to see some Greenville NC folks up here! I'm new to Southern Savers but have been couponing for a while now. Like the HT @ 14th n Charles but love the HT @ Bells Fork…or as i call it the Taj-Mah-Teeter lol

      • Sparklecat2009

That is awesome!! I went to the Charles Blvd HT after work and I have noticed that they are pulling all the DND's. I only had a couple (.55/1 and .60/2) and I do realize that their policy says that DND's may not be doubled. I just like to optimistically believe that they will not take the “may not be doubled” as an absolute thing. I like to think of it is a may or may not…………erring on the side of may double!!! Not too big of a deal but I will remember that for any future trips I make to that store. The cashier was nice about it. Will keep Bells Fork as my go-to location but I keep getting drawn over to Lowes Food more and more!!!! :)

    • JTTLC

This may sound stupid, but I want to ask it anyway…:) When a coupon that says 'Expires 4/30' (for example) is that coupon good up until 4/30 (where you can use it on 4/30) or is it unable to be used on 4/30? Thanks!

      • CCShad

you can use it on 4/30 :)

      • Gloria9000

You can use on the 4/30…and that is not a stupid question. If you don't ask, you don't know.

      • KristyNC

you can use it ON 4/30 … it just won't be good on 5/1

      • Trina2667

You can use all day on 4-30-11.

      • YourBusIsHere

Think of expiration dates at “Good Thru” dates, your coupon is good thru the entire day of 4/30, but when the clock strikes midnight the fairytale is over.

    • DianeinNC

Has anyone found the Sun-In hair lightener in their HT? I looked around the shampoo and sunscreen, but didn't see it in my store. Any ideas?

      • A H

Mine was with shampoo/ more with hair care products. On sale! So after double coupon Free!!

      • Tlwefuqua

The Rock Hill, SC store carries it…but they were out of it by the time I got there. I found the empty shelf and shelf tag on the bottom shelf of the hair color section. HTH!

    • KristyNC

Ok -so I went to HT with my Alpo dog food coupons – I had $1.25 off 10 cans but the UPC actually read for 2 or more. I also had $1 off 4 cans. So I was going to use 2/$1.25 & 2/$1 coupons and bought 16 cans of dog food. The register doubled my $1 coupons but would only increased $1.25 coupons up to 1.50 instead of $2.50 — guess because the cans were .75 each. There was too much going on at the register for me to realize what had happened until I got home and read the receipt. Is this normal?? How do people get the stores to “pay” them if the register is only giving you the coupon amount for the actual price of the items? I should have gotten the 16 cans for $3 but instead it rang up to $6.

      • Nita Royal

I don't think HT is allowing overages anymore.

        • Sarah

That is correct, and has been the case for quite some time. Any coupon used properly which doubles to more than an item is worth is automatically adjusted by the register so that the item is free, but does not result in an overage.

          • KristyNC

Thanks! I still got a great deal and now I know for the future!!

    • Nita Royal

Just got back from my visit, and got over $72 for less than $9. It does pay to wait a day, as the shelves had been restocked. One good item I didn't notice on the list: Jimmy Dean's Breakfast Bowls are on sale for $2,69. I had one $1 coupon, making this a great deal for .69. I LOVE these things, so if anyone knows of a printable, I'm on the hunt! TIA

    • guess

where can i find printable coupons for harris teeter?

    • Tasha010986

Hmmm..debating if i should make a late night trip or early morning? any advice? also, has anyone found any good deals that are combined with the evic coupons? thanks!

      • Sarah

I got a bag of Dunkin' Donuts whole bean coffee using a $1.50 coupon (doubled to $3) + the $1 off eVIC. Came out to just under $6 including tax, a little cheaper than what we would normally buy.

As far as shopping time, in my experience your best bet is to go in the morning because many locations get stock in at night when the store is closed.

      • mamabelbel

I would always go in am whenever possible. My stores seem much more empty by the end of the day. I used to try to go after getting my babies to bed so I could take my time but I didn't have much luck. Now I just get super organized and make a fast trip as early as I can get the kids out the door and I seem to get more of what I am after. Also, I choose to drive a few miles farther to a HT that is a little farther away from a large residential area. Seems to make a huge difference. Assuming everyone must be going to the store closest to their home or something.

    • Jule

I went to HT today, and sadly, my store didn't have the all the deal listed on here only a few… but it's okay, I got some good deals! :)

    • Melissa

Has anyone found the Goodlife Cat food on sale.

    • Ahemby

just getting start with couponing does harris teeter accept CVS ECB

      • Sarah

By their own policy, yes – but not every store follows the policy to the same extent, so your mileage may vary.

        • mamabelbel

My manager told me no ECB but they would accept the $5 off 25 and $4 off 20 coupons. I think I am going to ask at another HT cause I don't think that is correct. I would ask because I think there is some variation with how their own policy is actually applied.

          • Yazpistachio

Some will also accept RR from Walgreens

    • luvbeingamom

this question has probably already been answered here, but will my coupons double if I go through self checkout? thks in advance!!

      • Sarah

        Yes.

    • AmyQ

I was able to leave several coupons in the Winston Thruway HT and a few at the HT off country club – hope it helps some fellow couponers out! =)

    • Richard

Jenny – THANK YOU for the work you do to make everyone's food budget dollars go further.

For those of you who only complain – I don't know about where you live but here in NOVA HT is the only store that offers super doubles. I am GRATEFUL for the opportunity to shop at HT and get some great bargains. I think their employees are great. I think their coupon policy is reasonable (and generous). I feel very sad for those of you that do nothing but complain and have your hissy fits over real or imagined violations, mistakes and misunderstandings. Please get some perspective or a therapist. I don't read to the comments for your complaints, I like to see if anyone has discovered other items on sale but what you'll find in this week's post is just a bunch of whining… I got to tell you I feel sorry for you and I hope your week gets better. Please do us all a favor and focus on something positive.

    • Ruby

Do I need a VIC card in order to make coupons dbl at HT? Sorry just learning!

      • mamabelbel

        Yes.

    • Touche810

Need help understanding the Kellogg's cereal deal works. I have the $1.50/3 coupons. According to the post here I should only pay .17 cents each. But the price per box is $2.17 so how do I get it for .17 cents? If I have to purchase 3 @ 2.17 that equals 6.51 minus the double coupon $3.00 equals 3.51 so my total per box is 1.17 correct? What am I missing? Please help. Thanks

      • Yazpistachio

You are correct, that would make them $1.17 each. I think the 0.17 amount is only if you use the $1/1 q listed.

    • Raynesmw

Hi! Just read my evic email-looks like I get Clorox for 97 cents (do we have coupons??) and Lysol Wipes 2/$2, glad I didn’t buy these already. For those of you mentioning the price differences….go to harristeeter.com and pull up your local express lane. I sit with my higher value coupons and punch in the products, this gets me prepared for my local store. A lot of the deals match mine, but some don’t. I think couponing is a learning process, thank goodness for Jenny and all of you for helping me along the process.

    • Staceyf

Hooray! Friday is the day for sure. They had the Syrup and other items in stock. Syrup was free. Kraft Mac and Cheese was $.50. Hunts Tomato had a blinkie for $.75 off 3 and they were on sale for 3/$3.00 plus I had another ecoupon for $.50 off (so I paid $1 for 3 cans). Quaker Chewy bars were 2/$4 and I had a $1 off that doubled. McCormick spices were on sale plus coupon. Reach dental floss deal too. Total OOP was $5.75 and I saved $22.78.

    • Americanbaby27

Feeling much better about HT today!
We went this morning and they had all the Smart Balance Milk in stock!! Yay!
      Also Heads up!!!
All of those teeny .50/1 Tide and .35/1 Charmin that Expire tomorrow…. check out the travel size section! I got a bunch of stuff for free!

The manager had to override the q's but she was nice about it.
My total today was $12.58 for $66 worth of groceries. Saved 80%

    • Gidget M Blizard

I wanted to let you know that if you still have the Johnson and Johnson coupon for $1 off of two “red cross” products, that there is a handy first aid kit in the travel size section, they are priced 2 for $3, making them .50 each if you use your coupon. I think it's a great deal. Also, they have little band aid packs for $1, using your $.50 bandaid coupon from a couple of weeks ago, makes them free. Anyway, just an idea. I was trying to maximize my trip yesterday (since they were sold out of a few things) and found these items.
My HT off country club in Winston is always nice, always patient, and I never get “offended” when they are sold out of things. Is it a bummer? Yes, but it is what it is. I am just happy that they offer super doubles at all!! Some of their prices are higher than other places, but the super doubles more than make up for it. I became a couponer when I lost my job after 19 years of employment. Between my husband and I, we have 5 kids. I am able to feed our family of 7 for around $50 a week. We do not eat “junk food” as featured on Extreme Couponing, and I do not have a room full of stock. I purchase what we need, use, and stock up only on items that we have room in our laundry room for (paper towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, etc). I applaude anyone that is couponing due to the fact that it takes intelligence and patience to figure out the best deals and how to maximize them. I really wish that TLC would focus on “real” people with real goals and not people that look like maniacs…..I am so tired of hearing people comment when I am in the store and they see my binder, they always refer to that horrible show and the hoarders that appear on it. My family eats vegetables, meats, fruits, and the occasional “snack food”. We are not overweight, we are also not malnourished, we are a normal, healthy family. I just wanted to share and see if anyone else agrees…..

      • karen

Well said, God Bless you and your family!

      • savingtime/money

Well said I read and write on about 6 site and This Show has really showed the WRONG way and the dark side of Q I think It is a shame in my opinion ! Coupons is a job!! and Work !

    • Laurel

Where do I get some of these coupons? I know RP is red plum but what is SS?

      • Gidget M Blizard

SS is “smartsource”, they have inserts in the newspaper and a smartsource website that you can print various coupons from.

    • Gidget M Blizard

Okay guys, here is my list of my best buys this week….it doesn’t include everything I bought, just my best buys. For the week, I spent $82.73 and saved $206.82. Not too bad! I blew my usual $5o a week budget for my family of 7, but it’s enough food to last for at least 2 weeks and cleaning supplies galore….:)

I wanted to share my most used sites as well, hopefully that will help you to see where I get my ideas and coupon links from. Obviously, Southern Savers is my favorite and most used site, local to me ( NC) is a friend who has a site where she posts her shopping trips, coupon links, etc…it’s coupons.com, redplum.com, and smartsource.com are my favorites for printables…..hope this helps someone!!

Great day at Harris Teeter yesterday! paid 53 cents – 21 items $60.17 in savings – went to self check out – accidently hit the “senior” button and the cashier pushed it through for 28 cents savings —- I mad about that —- Need a coupon for some BOTOX – I'm 50! LOL fun day!

    • karen

You guys, I subscribe to these comments EARLY in hopes of deal ideas and scenarios. The venting is ok, it teaches us what to look for or what not to do! But some of this is toooo much! I've read all of these emails and some are not necessary for this forum. Go to another site to gripe or start your own! I'm finding that I have to go to a full cup dot com just to get the deal ideas and savings from other shoppers. No one has talked about the catalina deals. The Kotex panty liners after coupon, buy 3, get $2.50 back, the deals with the Pyrex coupon, California pizza catalina deal and the Deer Park catalina deal that starts today! Come on guys, let's help each other maximize our savings! Share your lists, it may be a blessing to someone else, especially the new couponers!

Thought I'd vent – now I'd done! Thanks Jenny, I understand you don't even have a Harris Teeter near by and you do an awesome job! I pray your family was not affected by this storm. My family was blessed two weeks ago – the tornado was 3 blocks away! God Bless…

      • Jane

        what is the pyrex deal?

      • Shirley1949

Hi, Karen, what is the deals with the Pyrex coupon?? Thanks.

    • karen

For those of you that printed the $2 Birdseye Viola coupon (or $3 if you were real early) they are on sale at Food Lion this week for BOGO. Limit 2. Match that with the Birdseye – “buy the Viola and get a Family size Vegetable up to $2.99). Good deal. I did it at Harris Teeter last week and now it's at Food Lion.

I've had great luck at my HT. It's a brand new store, opened just a few weeks ago. The staff is incredible!

Last night I spent $13 and saved $79! 85%! I got 2 London Broils, rice, lysol products, baby shampoo, floss picks, jar sauce, canned tomatoes, crab meat, and a few other items. My store was wiped clean of the mac & cheese, and Scott paper towels on Wednesday I was hoping it would be stocked yesterday, but maybe before Tuesday night. I'm all for stocking up and getting a great deal, but I think clearing the shelves is kind of above and beyond necessary. Share the wealth :)

Thanks Jenny for this wonderful resource! My family will be a lot better off now that we have some extra bucks in our account!

    • JTTLC

Had my first Harris Teeter experience today…..after visiting that store I think going back to Wal-Mart will be quite sad….the store was sooo nice an sooo clean with a very decent crowd. Even the bathroom was clean (I have a 2 year old who is potty training so I literally had to stop everything to take her to the bathroom 3 TIMES!). I bought $103 worth for only $36 so I am definitely happy about that. A lot of the items were free (I did splurge on some stuff that I had to have but still bought it on sale w/o coupons). I had to get jelly that I needed, but did not have a coupon for and ended up spotting Welch's grape jelly (in the squeeze not the jar which is what I wanted) with a 50 cents off coupon on it. It doubled so I got it for cheaper than all of the other generic jelly! Overall I got everything on my list minus two things that were out of stock of was not on sale any longer. It took me all of 3 minutes to get a raincheck on my way out which will allow me to get about $20 worth for only $1.50 my next trip. I will definitely be making Harris Teeter a regular!!

      • savingtime/money

Yes HT ius Great been shopping at them over 6 yr now ! BUT they are also very HIGH unless youn us Q and buy only what on sale I shop WM mostly I love it I made a list and buy the things only I need from HT!! But YOu do pay for all the great CS !!

        • JTTLC

I agree. I was shocked at just how high their prices were. Since I started couponing I hit several different stores (careful to route them just right so I do not waste a bunch of gas). As long as I have everything prepared before hand I really do not spend anymore time that I would have when I would regularly go in to Wal-Mart wondering what I was going to get. Wal-Mart is still on my list, but I have realized that I can get A LOT LESS there than normal.

    • Ukintn

I am very new to all of this. I followed instuctions on this website and went to Harris Teeter in Nashville yesterday and got $40.68 of groceries for $4.12.
Thank you Southern Savers and I apologize to Harris Teeter shoppers that had to witness my happy dance outside the store :-)

    • Vlwallac

My HT in Holly Springs has $1/1 peelies on the frz minute rice steamers… a few varieties are 2/$4 so they end up free!

      • tiffany

i got a lot of those off of the bags and realized they expired on 3-31-11 :( On the bags that were at my store.

        • Vlwallac

these were expired too, but they honored them since they were ON the product IN the store.

    • Dbpridgen69

Went to HT today for my wife, she is on a girl's weekend retreat. I saved almost $120 and paid $85 for what I really needed. While I was there a lady informed me of the e-Vic's Lysol cleaning items that were 2/$4 so with a $1 off Q they were 2/$2. So loaded up with the Qs I had. I don't think I did too bad. Did I?

      • You did great! I always think anything over 50% is great savings.

      • Rossjulie

Good job! Your wife will be proud to see your receipt when she returns.

    • css03

Nice Surprise today, one of my e-vic specials was for 2/$4 Lysol cleaning products. The wipes are on special B1G1 so $1.69. I was wondering how this would work since the special price was more than the sale price. I forgot about it until I was home looking over my receipt. The wipes ended up being $.30. I had used the $1.50 coupon and it doubled to $1.69, no beeps. Kind of wish I had realized this as I would have gotten my limit of 2 and probably used the coupon another time.

Also had a very nice conversation with the manager about couponing and I let him know how friendly and helpful the employees are at the store. He said he appreciated me sharing that with him.

    • Knucklez72

within the last two weeks at the HT in Charlotte NC they have decided to no longer let ppl use (for example) Kens salad dressings are on sale BOGO i had a coupon for $1 off 2 which with super double would have been $2 off of 2. GREAT DEAL!!! NOT happening>>>>the manager said i have to get 4 to use the coupon because “technically” i am only paying for one of the BOGO. I was SO disappointed. This will make it harder to save lots of money. i didnt understand this b/c i can purchase only ONE and it rings at half price and i can use a coupon on it

      • Ipreferpublix

Yes, that is their policy. It's in the written coupon policy. :(

      • Jellibean939

My Harris Teeter in VA ….their flyer states all BOGO's will ring up at half price. So I got their BOGO crystal light… then had a coupon buy 2 get one free….so I technically only paid for one…and got 2free

      • Raynesmw

I've had the same problem, although they aren't all uniform on this policy.

      • Lgoosman

I had the same experience at the HT in Denver (north of Charlotte). They had always used those coupons on BOGO items before. Yesterday they said I would have to buy 4 in order to use those coupons. Very disappointed.

      • mommyx6

do you mind telling me what store that was?

      • luv2nurse

had the same thing happen to me today also….totally disappointed

      • Jamrasc

Had the same issues at HT in Indian Land, SC. I won't be going to HT again. Especially when BiLo will do it and it is closer to me and I get fuel perks. HT lost my business.

      • Schusterc

same thing happened to me in Greenville, NC. I was very frustrated and made them put the Lysol back.

    • Lyddiejay

First time double couponing with the use of this site. With all the discounts I got everything for 26.60. Full price was 63.22. I'm thrilled. This is with limited discounts because I have just started saving coupons again. Love all the help. I have tried to coupon before with limited success because I would just get confused in the store and forget what I had in my file.

    • Kggarrett1911

went to HT today in Wake Forest, NC and got $281.44 worth of groceries for $132.72! I consider that a great trip! Picked up the dog chow, friskies dry cat food, frosted mini wheats, HT boneless ckn breasts, Kid Cusines, Thomas' English muffins, Ragu Pasta Sauce, Purex, Kool Aid, Sister Schubert Rolls, Smithfield Bacon, HT hotdogs, Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese and Pull ups! :)

    • TKBurns

I went today and one of the items I got was the always 18 count liners that were regularly priced $1.45. I still had 2 printable coupons for $1.50/2. The register doubled them, making all 4 boxes free, but then at the end I got a catalina for $2.50 off my next purchase! NICE surprise!

    • Soniac803

i need to know if anyone did the candy deal at Ht
      there is a coupon B2GOF
      Ht sale is B2G3F
      so how does it work

      • Yazpistachio

I did this, I ended up with 6 (well, 7 actually because I miss counted). But you pay for 2, get 3 free, use the B2GOF and get one more free. So 2@ $0.99 plus 4 free!

        • Yazpistachio

          I mean 2 @ $0.99 EACH

    • T_fair

Wanted to let everyone know that at Food Lion the homestyle mac and cheese is 2/2 so with coupon it's the same as HT's price. My HT was out of the mac and cheese, so I went to Food Lion and scored. Also i can't find any store that will let me use the Palmero bogo coupon. Any idea's where I could go?

      • anninnc

My food lion accepted the palermo's…..corporate said they accepted as long the the register accepted it and the manager as well.

      • Ipreferpublix

I used mine at Food Lion. They are bogo at Food Lion- so TWO FREE! :)

    • Sarah

Honestly, I wasn't that excited when I saw the lists of deals for this round of Super Doubles…but now that I've actually shopped, I've realized what amazing bargains there are to be had. I am grateful that this promotion is running just before I'm scheduled to have relatives in town as I can stock up for them without going broke.

So far (in 3 trips) I've spent about $20 for approximately $190 of stuff. Win! :-D

    • J Yauniek

Went to HT today and got $120.00 worth of groceries for a little under $30.00! yaaaay *pats self on the back* Best trip for me so far. But I do have to go back because they rang up my floss for the wrong price. Considering I just started couponing a few weeks ago I think im coming along great. Wish I could get more coupon inserts though. I currently only get two.

    • Dian1979

can someone please tell me how to see the list 1 and 2 i see the list 3 but that is all

      • Greenville NC Shopper

Click the Harris Teeter Link. Scroll down to the first two lists, then click on the title to the blog post.

    • Greenville NC Shopper

Harris Teeter had unadvertised e-vic specials on Facebook. 13.5oz Hillshire Farm Smoked or Pepperjack turkey links for $1.00. A couple of folks said that there was a $.55 DND peelie on the package, makes it $.45!

Harris Teeter Hot Dog Buns $.75. Limit 2 on both items. Hope this helps!

    • anonymous

There is a Mahatma rice coupon that was recently in the paper, $1 off any. The saffron rice is $.99, so free rice. Also in this weekend's P&G insert, $1 off one Ivory soap bar, makes for free soap.

    • PinkButterfly

I have a question I have some degree 1.00 off any 1. HT has one for .99 so if I got 2 would it still double the coupon for 1 then I could get 2 for free per coupon? Anyone tried this or know?

      Thank you!

      • Yazpistachio

You can't get overage with HT, so the q would be adjusted down to make the item free– but no more. :-( Sorry!

    • Stacymarie319

Harris Teeter her in Northern VA is doing Rice Krispie Cereal 2 for 5. Use the online $1 off 2 coupon to get them for 1.50 each. Not the greatest but I rarely see Rice Krispies on sale and they are the only cereal my daughter eats :)

    • Yazpistachio

Don't know if this has been posted yet, but at my HT in Waxhaw NC there are Lindt chocolate bars 2/$4. The May All You coupon is $1/1, so FREE CHOCOLATE!!!!!!

    • Guest

I've been several times to get the Smart Balance milk. They are wiped out every time. the “lady” in front of me had 5 cartons in her buggy. I wonder why people are so greedy. I wouldn't blame the stores if they completely quit allowing coupons.

      • luiza

During the last super doubles they ran out of milk as well. I went to 3 different stores and never found it. The manager apologized and said that they had had delivery problems at the warehouse.
Looks that the problem hasn't been solved, or else there are more coupons available this time and people are able to get more of an item of great need. Milk in general has gone up so much in price that if one can get it cheap, then why not? I understand the frustration, but if that lady with the 5 cartons (that's only 2.5 gal) has several children, let's be glad she got such a deal. Good luck to you (and me) next time.

      • mommyx6

I went to 5 stores today to find it… I will also admit that once I found it I bought 3 and made my hubby buy 3… but I have 6 kids and it will be gone in less than 2 days… I only “stockpile” stuff I will use soon… nothing has a chance to go bad around here :) I do get frustrated when things are wiped out… Super Doubles week is great but it sure is a time sucker of a week traveling to every store to find all the items. Sorry you couldn't find it… check another store,,, it is so hit or miss.

        • Ykcpeggy

Those blessed with large families understand how quickly milk goes! Especially with teenage boys!

      • Guest

How can you call someone greedy without knowing their personal situation? 5 milk would last my family and another I shop for about 2 days. Greedy? I think not.

      • Rita

In my store in NO VA they had some (first time in 2 weeks) and I bought 2. They did have a sign up too that said they had delivery problems and apologized. Be sure to get a rain check as they don't expire.

    • My HT had $1 off WYB Tostitos Salsa and Chips ON THE SALSA!
The Chips are Salsa are BOGO this week so I got both for $1.99!
      Nice!

p.s. The coupon said one per customer…

    • Jonathan Tyler Gaff

My HT would only give me rainchecks for items in there ad. Is this normal? I went with about 16 things on my list and everything was cleared off the shelves. I got about 7 rainchecks and felt kind of jipped. Anyone know the raincheck policy?

      • Rita

I've gotten rain checks for things on sale but not in the flyer. They usually go and check the price and size of the items on the shelf before writing the rain check but I have never been denied a rain check. Be sure to ask for a manager when you have questions.

    • Yazpistachio

Seventh Generation dish detergent is $1.99– with the $1/1 q it is free!

    • luiza

To the person at the Rivertowne HT who carefully taped- yes, taped!- 3 expire-today coupons on the danactive yoghurts: I think you are an absolute gem, and your attitude speaks heaps.
I had been missing out on the danactive deal until today-thank you!

      • Germaine Jenkins

        Coupon fairies are my favorite.

        • Amanda

If I decide for some reason not to buy a product I always leave the coupon with the item….. I love it when I find these for things I need so why not give someone else a chance to save?

    • Shea

Is anyone else having a hard time using coupons for BOGO items?

I went to HT yesterday and they said I could not use a $1/2 for the BOGO Mini Wheat's or 8 O'Clock coffee…

      • Jonathan Tyler Gaff

Yes, the coupon says 1$ off when you BUY 2, on BOBO your actually only buying one, even though the items actually ring up at half price. Weird

    • Jonathan Tyler Gaff

Question, if I get rain checks but they don't get the items in until after Super Doubles is over. Do my coupons double with the rain checks, even though the sale date is over.

      • boredtotears

No, your coupons will not double unless they are under $1, which is their policy for everyday shopping other than during superdoubles. you will get the price stipulated during the sale period, but not the doubled coupons……sorry

      • Germaine Jenkins

Save your rain checks for the next Super Doubles.

    • Dottie

I heard that Harris Teeter does triple coupons once or twice a year. Do you know about when that happens?

      • JR

The HT at Hendersonville, NC did a Triples of .99 just about a month ago. They actually did it the week following their Super Doubles last March. I don't know if there is any set time frame though.

    • Mandy Effler

You can also get the Kraft Homestyle Macaroni for 50 cents after the $1 manufacturers coupon is doubled, as it is on sale for $2.50. This coupon was cut from the weekly coupons in the Sunday paper, but I do not remember which one, and what date. I am sorry about that. Also if you get the Coffee-Mate liquid creamer, they have a $1 off coupon on the bottle and after doubling that, it makes them 29 cents a bottle. I know you have 19 cents per bottle, but I could not figure how you got that, as if they are 2.29 and you subtract the doubled 55 cents ($1.10), It would make them $1.19 each. Maybe I missed something there I'm not sure. But the on product coupon was the better deal at my Harris Teeter.

    • Mandy Effler

I bought (2) 36ct Chinet plates, (4) 28ct Lysol Wipes, (4) 24oz bottles Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner, (2) 16oz bottles Flavored Liquid Coffee-Mate Creamer, (2) 16oz bottles Mens Dial bodywash, (2) boxes of Quaker Chewy granola bars, (2) 22oz bottles Clorox 2 Laundry Stain Remover, (1) Kraft Homestyle Mac&Cheese, (1) box Old El Paso Stand Up Taco Shells & (1) pack of Old El Paso Taco Seasoning & my total was $12.18!!
I saved $29.67 on this trip to Harris Teeter! =) FREE ITEMS: Chinet plates & Clorox 2 Laundry Stain Remover. Lysol wipes were 70 cents a tub, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner was 50 cents a bottle, Dial Body wash was 99 cents a bottle, Coffee-Mate creamer was 19 cents a bottle (I got White Chocolate Caramel Latte & Caramel Vanilla), and the Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese was 50 cents. The other items were on sale but I did not have coupons for them.

    • luv2shop

I decided to splurge on a new piece of cookware since I am saving so much with my Qs. The Pyrex is on for 25% off and there was a Q in April's inserts for $1 off which will double right now. I picked up a 2 quart pot big enough for a roaster for only 5 bucks. If you need a measuring cup, this would be a good time to pick one up for a buck!

    • da101

Just want to let everybody know that Band Aid travel size is $1 use $0.50/1 or $1/2 make them free!! But today the cashier miss one of my coupon the $1/2, I just found out at home, what should i do. I still have some more of that coupon.

    • Germaine Jenkins

The Grand's Tortilla Chip bags in the West Ashley store have a $3 off beef wyb 2 tortilla chip q..

      • Germaine Jenkins

That's Grande Tortilla Chips. Sorry if it's already been posted.

      • Germaine Jenkins

Looked at the q again, its $1.50 off but it doubles to $3 this week

    • Lori

Yes, Guest, getting 5 of the same item probably is greedy because the HT coupon policy states that you are only allowed to use 3 Q's for the same item, I seriously doubt she was paying full price for the other 2. Just because you have a large family does not entitle you to more.

      • Guest

You sure are judging someone's personal situation, of which you know nothing. 5 milk for some households will last about 2-3 days. Milk freezes well, someone with a small family may choose to freeeze it for use later – they may have limited budgets of both time & money, transportation is at a premium (gas is expensive, less trips makes sense for many) who are you to judge? People are “entitled” to buy all the milk, or anything else, they need. You don't know how many coupons this person was using, or what price they are paying. HT's coupon policy limits the amount of doubled coupons – not how many of an item a person may purchase. If you thought the cashier was breaking the rules for this person did you talk to the manager about it? What was the manager's response? Do you know many people often buy products without coupons? Even at full price! Quit judging others based on the fact they bought 5 milk.

      • Guest

Just talked to someone who is taking food & clothing to our local tornado victims – people who have absolutely nothing left. We are starting a breakfast meal for the people to have before school work or clean-up. We expect about 100 people tomorrow morning. She bought 20 milk. Greedy?

    • Vlwallac

$1/1 Oreo fudge cremes q works on regular Oreos too. Not a spectacular savings either way since they are not on sale.

$1/1 Giardhelli bag of squares q works on the giardhelli bars also… which makes them FREE

      • Sparklecat2009

I am pretty confident that just because it works doesn't mean that you should be doing it. The coupons specifies the products that it should be used on and that is the product that you should be using it on.

    • J Yauniek

Soooo I went back to HT today with my sister to help her with her coupons and did not have a good experience. The total on my order came to $2.59 for $55 worth of groceries and I used some cvs ecbs. But when my sister went to use hers the manager came over and told her that she could not use them because they do not accept them. Huh? Why not when you just took mine and it clearly states in your coupon policy that you do? Then he said that cvs was not their competitor because it was more than a mile away. Again….HUH? There is a cvs on the same freaking block! Then I told him I would print out the coupon policy and bring it back and he said wait till tomorrow so he can call corporate to verify. Okay not a problem. But why did they have all four managers on duty arguing with me at the same time. Blaaaaahhhhhh

      • April

Which store were you at? I have had similar problems in High Point, NC. I just know now if I have ECBs, etc to go to a different store where they will accept them.

        • J Yauniek

I went to the one in Alexandria, Va. But I called around to the other stores in the area and none of them take ECBs anymore. But the one in Shirlington does take money off an entire order. Its kind of out of the way for me. But sometimes I have to go to the library right next to it to pick up stuff for my job and ill try to match a trip if I have one of those coupons.

      • Nita Royal

It seems as though the local management must have some discretion to determine whom the classify as “competitors”. Mine doesn't take WAGS RRs anymore, but will take the $ off coupons from Family Dollar.

    • tarheelpat

Today's coupon sections yield a couple of new HT freebies — Tostito's taco chips and Crest Pro Health toothpaste.

      • anninnc

        which coupons would those be..??

        • tarheelpat

Crest ProHealth toothpaste and Tostitos taco chips.

    • Raynesmw

Their employees do not seem to be on the same page. I went this morning and I had 6 of the Crystal Lights that are BOGO. I wanted to use 2 coupons, buy 2 get 1. I figured out of the 6, I was buying the first and the third out of each set. They told me I couldn't use both coupons, just 1. So, I was like huh? The original cashier said I had to buy 8 to use both, the front end office person said 9, and the manager said 10. Don't ask me the logic behind any of it, I was totally confused. I had them take all of them off. This was at a HT in NC that I normally don't go to. At the other store, I bet there wouldn't be an issue at all. Why can't they just be all alike and show me a written policy when they refer to things? I have no problem following policy, just make it consistent for me and I am a happy shopper.

      • Xraychik512

Yeah I tried to buy 3 and use 1 coupon. Nope, they said I needed to buy 5. I had them just take them off, it doesn't make sense to me…

    • Jamrasc

Just came home from HT in Indian Land, SC….majorly ticked off. They would not let me use coupons for the meal deal, they would not let me use coupons on the buy1 get 1 free products either. I ended up having them take several things off my order. This will be the last time I shop at HT. I can go to BiLo and get double every time and use my coupons on b1g1 free items. Plus get my fuel perks.

      • Tfwsaver

The HT on Union Road in Gastonia wouldn't let me use my $1.50 on three cereals because the cereals were B1G1……I was ticked. The next day I went to the HT on Park Road in Charlotte and asked the manager if I could use it on the Frosted flakes and mini wheat cereal that was B1G1 and if it would double to $3 off. He said yes and I was able to get my cereal there. I will be going back to that HT!

Were you trying to use coupons on the free items in the meal deal or the item you have to purchase? Of course you can't use coupons on free items, you can use them on the item you purchase. The HT coupon policy posted on this website, and reading the posts by other users here will help you understand the HT policy. The BOGO policy seems to be applied inconsistenly and without total adherence to the policy at some stores – you may have encountered a store that does abide by the policy – were you buying 1 item and using 1 coupon for that item, if so it should have worked. Don't give up – learn the policies of all the stores near you – eventually you'll know how to work the best deals for your needs.

Jamrasc-I went to the same store Friday and ran into several problems. Luckily, I had a very nice cashier who tried her best to explain everything for me. I was very thankful for that-and she was glad that I wasn't mean to her. LOL! Basically, the IL store will not longer be doubling if the coupon states not to. She said they have to go through each coupon now and double check to make sure that the items match the coupon exactly. She did manage to confuse me on one thing too…B1G1-in order to buy 1 get 1, if I understood her correctly, you have to get 1 or 4 of the item. Massive confusion for me since I'm new at all of this.
Second time I ran into that problem…A couple of weeks ago, I was getting air freshener, and had two coupons-1 B1G1 and 1 for ? off. I had to get 4 sprays to be able to use the coupons. ????

      • Mojojess3

I was told the HT on Audry Kell will double everything no problems. Haven't tried it yet. It is just up the road from Indian Land.

I have found the Indian Land, SC store is becoming very nit-picky about coupons. During the last super doubles event, my friend wasn't allowed to use more than 3 coupons from the same manufacturer on a single transaction (never read this in their policies before). Go to the Cureton store, they're much easier to work with! I hear that Publix will be built across the street from the Indian Land store in a few months… that should loosen them up a bit!!!

May have already been posted but Hidden Valley Salad kits on sale for $2 with $1 Q doubled makes them FREE ++++tear pad coupon on display at HT and Walmart has $1 q off produce WYB salad kit. At my HT in NC they actually doubled my produce Q so this was like a $2 money maker just by buying the free salad kit!!!!

      • anninnc

is the tear pad where the kits are?

      • Tfwsaver

I got one of those free one time just to try it…..wasn't worth it even free.

        • anninnc

          Thanks for the heads up!

        • I actually like the caesar kit…it's pretty good. I normally add more than just lettuce though (like tomatoes, cucumber, etc…).

        • luv2shop

I agree. These are not a a good deal for regular price so I do not think they will be around for long. But while they are trying them out (that is the reason for all the specials and the coupons) they do have advantages. If you take your lunch, for FREE there is a pack of dressing in there and some salad toppings. They dressing pack alone is 50 cents in most stores. So, I use the toppings when I make the salad at home and save the dressing packs for lunches. But… without an incentive (ie if this were more than 50 cents), I would not buy this product.

        • Jwalker317

          Haha.

          • Jwalker317

How did our grandparents make salads without “kits”? It's inhuman!!!

    • Daisy

Does anyone have trouble printing coupons? my antivirus keeps blocking it

      • anninnc

Usually you just have to double click the warning message and select allow pop-ups temporarily.

    • lesajns

Has anyone else noticed that Harris Teeter tends to jack up their prices for these sales? I often shop Publix and Harris Teeter on the same day and Publix always has the better price so I don't think it is worth it to shop at Harris Teeter much of the time.

      • anninnc

I have really noticed this about alot of places..including furniture stores!

    • Mcknights4pack

Not sure if this was on here or if this is even still running but there were some Lysol coupons and the HT e-vic listed some lysol specials 2 for $4. If you use the $1 off coupon from 4/17 (I think that's the date) they double it and that makes it 2 for $2. Also, I know the lysol toilet bowl cleaner was BOGO and with that meaning 2 for $3 and there being another 4/17 coupon for them that makes it 2 for a $1. Sorry if this was already posted and thank you so much for all the work you put in to get us these great savings!

    • DeDeBug88

Not sure if this has been posted somewhere else but there was a coupon in the Pepsi Moments to Save insert today that is $1.00 off one Tostitos Chips or Salsa. Both are under $2.00 this week at HT so this will double to make either one free.

      • JR

If you bought more than one paper you can use the dollar off coupon on one bag of tostitos and one for the salsa which made these items free for me. Then there was also a coupon for a free Pepsi Max when you purchased both the chips and salsa. A good deal.

    • Sbigham3

Any new coupon match ups with the new inserts from yesterday to make freebies?

      • Guest

All you need to do is open the web to the HT website – go to the “Express Lane” under “online shopping”. Go through your inserts from yesterday and price items – very easy for you to yourself.

    • Tyedyemomma

Is there somewhere that the list has been updated with any 5/1 coupons?

    • Burkholderfam09

Hi, I am brand new to this. How do I print the coupons that say “M” for manufactur at?
      thanks!

    • Stooge99_99

Does anyone know the policy for Harris Teeter bogo, the lysol wipes were bogo and I had a coupon for $1.00 off two but they would not take it said I had to get 4 of them. Although my friend one aisle over got four of them and used two coupons. They said I cannot use a coupon on bogo that is for two items. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a good “couponer”. I cannot find this in their coupon policy.

      • Jellibean939

They allowed me to use 1 coupon and get it,…. the computer rings them at half price so the coupon went through just fine!

      • Jwalker317

Something i found out (from this website i believe):

Most SUPERMARKETS – B1G1 sales will ring EACH item at 1/2 price. So if ProductX is normally $4 and is B1G1 they will ring up as $2 each. (and MANY stores will also allow you to only buy 1, or 3, etc.)

Most DRUG STORES – B1G1 sales will ring up as 1st one full price, second one ZERO. So ProductX will ring up as $4 and $0.00. You might as well get the second one because you would pay the same price for 1 or 2.

Which ALSO means that if you have a B1G1 Coupon AND a store is having a B1G1 sale of its own, you should use that coupon at a drug store if you can because you will get BOTH items for free… (Because they are already giving you a 'free' product and the manufacturer will reimburse them for the full normal price of one item)

I can't say that i 100% know WHY this is the case, but it seems to be true. BOGO sale at Drug store + BOGO coupon for that item in paper = both items free. Probably my FAVORITE coupon deal ever. Even if i NEVER use a product i always keep the BOGO coupons for this reason. You wanna give me two items completely free i will take them. If i don't use them i will give to family/friends or donate to a charity.

I am new to this site and to couponing. I tried clicking on “printable” to get the $1.50 off clorox stain removal and I installed coupon printer and everything. But when I went to print my coupon this came up — “There are no prints available for this campaign.” Does this mean that clorox is not issuing coupons on line for this coupon anymore? Or do you think I need to re-install my coupon printer? Thank you so much!!

      • CJ

it means they are no longer allowing coupons to be printed for that campaign. it has nothing to do with you or your computer :)

        • guest

          thank you!!!

    • guest

Another newbie question… :) I tried printing the printable coupon $1 off Softsoap Ensembles Liquid Hand Soap and it directed me to the cologate website. Does anyone know where I find the coupon on this site? I looked and looked, and even registered. Thank you!

      • Kcreviews

Thanks for the heads up! I found one of those Moments to Save inserts in the dumpster this morning and now I can get free chips!

    • guest

I have been noticing that many coupons are not printing b/c sites are saying this coupon is not available anymore. Does anyone know how to get one of these coupons before they run out? I guess what I'm wondering is…is it best to print all the printables you need the first day of the sale week and not wait until the end of the sale period like I'm doing today? :)

    • Tara0872

I went to HT on Saturday only to find that someone had already bought up all the things that would have been really cheap and freebies. Very disappointing..I get paid once a month and it's harder and hard to stretch money. Every time I go to HT they are already sold out of those items.

      • JL

If you have time try to go back tommorow. They normally have it restocked.

        • luv2shop

Yes, at my HT, they have been low on the veggies and the Minute rice all week. They were restocking it tonight. I find that sometimes the best day to go is the last day of the sale.

      • Jwalker317

I found this to be true as well. Out of all of what would be “free after coupons”. And I had stopped at my local HT 3 times! (Thurs, Sat, & Monday) I went up to the customer service desk and told them this and the Asst Manager said that that they would honor the price at another date and i asked about the “doubling” effect of the coupon… and they said that “within reason” (Im guessing 1-2 of each product) they would even “double” my coupon at that time. (She even acknowledged that she KNOWS they have been out of certain items throughout the entire sale.)

I was happy with this AND since its the store giving you the extra dollar on a dollar coupon, not the manufacturing, its not really a loss to the since i was going to buy the item anyway AND use the coupon and have it doubled. I find HT to usually be very accommodating with issues like this.

    • Jwalker317

Don't know if i missed it above, but there is still one final day! My local HT has Tostito Chips and Salsas on sale B1G1 with original price of 3.99 (aka 1.99each). Use the $1/1 coupon found in most Sunday 5/1 papers. And they also have the Kraft Mac Homestyle on sale for 2/$5. There was a paper coupon a few weeks back for $1/1 so it would make them 50 cents each. Not bad for something that sells for 2.99-3.49 range.

      • JTTLC

I went today and got some free Tostito chips and salsa….look for the free Pepsi Max coupon too….I got that free for 'buying the chips and salsa' (but actually they were free…..not a bad deal….also got the free crest toothpaste

    • Shayna

Anyone in Fayetteville, NC they restocked the orbit gum and butterfinger snackerz tonight as of 9pm when I was there. Butteffingers are free with $1/2 coupon and the orbit gum is $0.29/each with $1/2 coupon. Also I got $0.20 hair dye! Clariol nice and easy, they have a few colors marked down to $3.20 closeout price and I had a $3 off coupon. Not sure where it came from sorry. Also I had a $1/off peptobismol coupon which doubled to $2 and they have the big size bottle on sale for $3.99 so it ends up $1.99 (I think it was originally $6).

    • Mdavis1205

My girlfriends and I have been to HT every day since the sale started. I have duplicated several of more orders, I did not clean the shelves, but I did stock up. Before you judge me, know that I am not keeping anything I purchased for myself, except the e-vic specail on bleach this past sat. All and all our total should have been $1097 between the five of us, oop all together we spent a little over $40. Our main objective was to get what was free. We are sending everything to help out those devistated by the disaster. We have also cleaned our pantries and closets. We are using our own money to ship these items by fedex. I think we did a pretty good job. I don't to offend anyone who reads by my next comment, “but those of us who can and will, pray for those who have lost everything, including their loved ones”. May God bless and strengthen them in their time of need. I am ever so grateful that this did not happen to me.

      • Theoneandonly

Before you judge me? You're on Southernsavers! (Also, good deeds count a little more when nobody knows about them).

        • Couponworld

Opinions count a little more when asked for.

        • guest

thanks but no thanks for your comment. She did not post to inform anyone of a good deed.she posted to say thanks to HT for having super double on this week, that they are able to give to those in need. Thats how I read it. What happen to if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything. I think its a wonderful thing what you and you friends are doing. Thank you for sharing..

          • Theoneandonly

Yeah, but you're the same person that posted letting everyone know about the good deed right? Why are you talking about yourself in the third person? Both posts say Mdavis1205. She is you. You're trying to trick us.

      • Lvbnamama

You shouldn't worry about offending any one, they can choose not to read your post. You have freedom of speech just like any one else. Hopefully somone will read it and want to know more about God! Wouldn't that be wonderful! I think what you and your friends are doing is wonderful!!! If everyone did that our dark and negative world would be much brighter! May God bless you and your friends!!!

      • JL

Thanks for this comment. I neede to be remindedof what really matters. I was super upset with mu HT(still won't be going back to that one) but you put it in perspective for me. It is a great thing to be able to give back. I am able to do it on a much larger scale now that I coupon(Thanks Jenny). You made my day brighter.
P.S. Don't ever appoligize fro your beliefs the otherside does not seem to worried of offending when expressing thier beliefs. Have a great day.

    • Today I went into HT to take advantage of a $1/2 Q while it was still Super Doubles which would have turned into $2. off the 2 items however it only took off $1.19 which was the cost of only one item. The manager told me that $$/2 items only takes money off the first and will not take money off of both? Is that how its always been? If not when did that start and why?!

      • Turtle2u4

I had happen to me also but the manager keyed in the Q and price come off both items.. That must be something new. It happened when I brought the flavored water.

        • Thats what I was buying! However the Manager came over to the Register when I mentioned that it wasnt right and said “We now only take money off the first item” So I payed $3.85 for 6 bottles! wow! Big difference!

      • Couponworld

ooooooh don't even get me started. Managers and cashier were so rude to me twice this week. I have never had a problem using $$/2. This was not even a dbled q so they lost out b/c I will being using it at Publix this week. I am all about policy but when it changes overnight they should be ready to answer question with professionalism.

        • shanna441

I had the same problem with the 1.00 off 2 items. I can't believe HT would institute a new policy and not give any notice, especially when that policy affects doubling coupons and it's during super doubles week. As far as managers being rude, I had that experience this week too. On my 5th trip to HT this week I was looking for the cereal they had on sale which they had been out of on my previous 3 visits. I asked the manager how often they restocked their shelves and he got an attitude with me right away. I didn't even have time to say what I had been thinking all week: why does HT advertise items on sale and not order enough of those items to accomodate an increase in demand. This happens all the time, especially during super doubles. You walk down the aisles and see huge empty gaps on their shelves.
