      • guest

There is a $2 off duracell battery coupon that come out in a redplum that makes it an even better deal.

    • Neet

HT can be so frustrating. For some reason they were manually checking prices and manually entering my coupons. The lady entered .63 cents for my coupon when it should’ve been 2.63 (big difference). Called them back and the lady tried to argue me down over the phone. Seriously HT? Why even bother with double coupons if you don’t want to honor them?

      • jenn C

I’ve only been couponing for a few months, but Ive had to learn many different tips when dealing with HT. I print out a list of all my e-vics, bring a copy of all the deals I’ve saved on southersavers, and I have a copy of any special email deals I receive and the weekly specials. I watch the screen VERY closely if anything is incorrect. Several times the e-vics were not taken off which can make a huge difference over time so I told the manager and showed him my sheet, and he gave me my $3.50 back in cash. I feel bad because it’s not his fault but it took him 10 mins to get it all put into the computer. It shouldn’t be so hard, but I guess if it was really easy everyone would do it.

        • BenS

HT policy is to give you one of those items for free if it rings up wrong.

          • Bee

Do you tell them that? I had a bag of apples ring up $1 over. They gave me $1.02 back – which was fair – but their policy says they should have given me the whole value of the item back, right? I hate to be greedy but it’d be nice to cash in on their error.

            • Guest

This is the wording I use: “May I take advantage of the scan guarantee on that item, please?” They know exactly what I mean since that is how it is worded on their coupon policy.

        • Mimi Flynn

I’m still in the beginners stage as well; I’m not sure if its just me but I have a hard time logging in and loading my Vic card. I get referred to a 800# or I’m told at log n that my user name and email is not on the database. I’m frustrated with the site.

    • Neelu C

HT at Homestead market, Durham NC has Hershey’s simple pleasure on sale for $3.00 each. With the $1.50 coupons.com coupon that doubles it will be free !!
I have noticed that they have hiked the price on certain items like strawberries (reg: $2.48) to $4.5 and made it B1G1, Nivea body wash (Reg: $3.99) to $6.58. So, watch out for items like this !

    • Crystal T

There zbr on the Harris Teeter website for a $1.00 more off Tide therefore makes it $2.99 ….great price originaly almost $9.00

      • Kim

I actually found the big bottle of tide that was in “redskins” packaging…. It was on closeout forhalf price + $1.50 coupon x 2 + $1.50 evic. I ended up with 2 bottles for $7.50!

Aleve cold and sinus is on sale for 4.99 with the coupons of $2.00 it comes out to .99

    • Kim

I did very well this morning! I got $100 worth of groceries for $15… I was so mad though that I forgot my $5 off of $5 coupon from food lion last week.

      • Lina

even if its expired? they will honor it?

    • johnsonville; sausage are not bogo its the store brand this week

    • themommyliza

The Uncle Ben’s $1/2 coupon you have listed does not work for the rice that is a dollar a box. The coupon is only for the Long Grain and Wild Rice boxes, which are not on sale. I would guess the other coupon would work, making it $1 for 3 boxes.

Also, I think the sale on Ocean Spray cranberry juice was from last week. This week, it appears to be back to over $4/bottle.

Thanks for this incredible list! I can see how it would be easy to get something wrong here and there. :)

    • Sara0805

I had 2 $2-off coupons for Al Fresco breakfast sausages (from an email last month, expire today). Doubled I got them both for free. And the sausages had a coupon for free eggs attached to them, so I got a dozen eggs for free with them.

      • Did you have a raincheck? I see they are $5.99

        • Sara0805

The dinner sausages are $5.99, but the breakfast ones at my store (Raleigh, NC) are $3.99.

        • Sara0805

That’s the price of their dinner sausages. The breakfast sausages (skinnier links) were regular price 3.99 at my store.

      • savinmavin

I had the same coupon $2/2 and there were several marked $4 off so i got 4 packs for free. They have no preservatives so they mark them down throughout the week. I just put them in the freezer, they made a great meal with the Classico pasta sauce and the cheap muellers pasta, cost me less than $1 for a meal, plus leftovers for lunch the next day. Thank you Jenny for all the hard work.

        • Kelly

Ha! That sounds like the meal we had last night, same deals and all! It’s great when you can feed a family of 5 for less than $10.

    • KW13

Not sure about your HT- but in MD- the Uncle Ben rice on sale is not the one that matches the “long grain and wild rice” coupon. Also Smart Balance milk is not on sale (or at least it doesn’t appear to be)

      • tdk

I’m in VA. Same thing here, in fact our Smart Balance milk is $4.19, which is higher than the organic ones! Also, the Hormel Compleats are on sale for $2.49, not $1.99 here.

      • Mimi Flynn

The milk in sc was 3.29 and the rice was 2.99 on the coupon the microwave bags were on sale

    • KW13

Follow on question: The Express Lane no longer seems to show sale prices anywhere. Have they discontinued the practice? Any info here
would help as HT is a 25 minute drive and I used the express lane to
show me what was on sale (but not in the flyer) before I burned the
      gasoline. Thanks

      • shonda

my express lane is showing sale prices.

      • tdk

I know what you mean. It will show you the sale price but you have to hover your cursor over the item and then it will pop up. It’s really annoying now and time consuming!

      • DianaY19@yahoo.com

Noticed the same thing so I decided to “create” an account. Once you login it will show all the prices on sale without having to hoover over each one. Pain to login each time but at least I can see them all. HTH

      • Allie65

There are now 2 ways to “view” the list – table and list. The default table view does not show sale prices automatically. To switch views, click the list view icon (the one on the right) at the top of the page next to the word “View:”

      • KW13

Thanks everyone–I didn’t see the ‘view’ option on my browser, but maybe I need an account (which I can do easily enough). I did get the hover to work so I will now do some very scientifically based time trials to see whether hovering is more efficient than opening an account…..or wait until I get tired of one option or the other (smile). MUCH THANKS again for the assist, helps a lot.

    • Wendy Claborn

Got a question, the coupon I printed for the Johnsons Bedtime is $2/2 and it says or any Bedtime product, is the powder with purple writing for calming chamomile considered a bedtime product because if so it would only be $0.50 with the coupon. Thanks in advance.

      • snowdogmom

I read the coupon as any Johnson Baby product used at bedtime. Powder would qualify in my opinion. I got 4 of the powders using 2 of the coupons and had no issues at all. Love getting them for 50 cents each.

    • ctrinkle

Anyone notice that the recyclebank coupon is only for “participating”
stores. They have a map and according to it, none of the three nearest to my house are “participating”. I haven’t had trouble using it, but I am feeling a little paranoid. Seems like if they are going to accept competitor coupons, they would accept their own? Plus, I have to search for the reward to have it show up.

      • Ramram

i noticed that too, how are you able to order it?? i did the search and found it, but when i click on it , it won’t do anything…any tips on how to order it??

        • Kim

I would love to know too!!! I miss my recyclebank coupons…. I have been saving up my points!

    • Mimi Flynn

My Harris tether in Rock hill sc on heckle blvd; did not have the smart balance for $2.69 it was 2 for $6.00. The uncle bens was $2.99 and the ocean spray was not $2.50. Heart broken well you win some and you lose some $85.00 bill down to $19.00. Still thankful. I will be back tomorrow without my son (talking) and our dog awaiting in the car.

      • tdk

Make sure you’re looking at the right Smart Balance–one is Smart Balance Spread (13-15oz) for $3, the other is smaller, 7.5oz, Smart Balance spreadable butter for $1.34

    • Alicia Z

1 L bottles of Listerine are marked down to $3.99 and there is a coupon on coupons.com for $2.00 off, making it FREE! Also, a guilty pleasure, there is a coupon on coupons.com for $2 off People Style Watch, price at $3.99, also making it FREE!

As long as the Olay Facial Cleanser Sensitive says total effects on the bottle, you may use it.

    • nevermind I see it says excl total effects :(

    • savesalot

someone may have already posted this, but there is a $1 facebook coupon for the snackwells that makes them FREE.

      • Cheryl

Where is the coupon? I have looked but I can’t find it..

        • savesalot
        • Cheryl2

Found it under Nabisco on FB.

          • Guest

I’m glad you were able to find it. I posted the link shortly after you commented but i think because I wasn’t logged into Disqus it said my comment was awaiting moderation. ?? It still isn’t posted. Anyways, unlike other FB coupons I was able to print this twice from each of my computers for a total of 6 coupons! the fudge covered pretzels taste like flipz…sooo good!

    • Okay, so why are SO MANY prices that you are listing incorrect? I was actually pretty pissed going to Harris Teeter and the main items you listed that I put on my list were either no on sale or the coupon wasn’t valid on the item you posted it with. Some of the printable coupons you posted are expired or the URL says it’s not an ongoing promotion anymore.

      • Guest

Coupon links just cant last forever. Manufacturers give an allotted number of coupons that can be printed and then once that quota is reached the link is often disabled. They (this blog) should be more attentive with the links, but thats time consuming and Im sure they try. Things sometimes slip though the cracks Im sure, just look at the public schools system. Joking aside, if you deem a coupon match-up inappropriate dont use it. If you want to help out others, jot them down while shopping and pop back on here and let us know!! Wouldn’t that be more productive?

        • I’m not as mad about the coupons as I am posting sales that are false. This is a weekly occurrence and I would like an answer from the person “running” this blog not a random person who is listed as Guest.

          • coupon ma ma

That’s not true some things are the same price, when I get to my store. Check your express lane for items before you go to the store. You have no one to blame but yourself. Do your own homework. Prices vary by HT stores. I go to two different Harris Teeters in my area in Raleigh and they have different prices.

          • Kelly

Emily, I am kind of on your side about this, at least with this listing (not all weeks) I have noticed a lot of mistakes when I went to the store as well as when I checked my HT express lane prices. It’s frustrating when you take the time to cut all your coupons, match them up and then get to the store and the item’s not on sale. I have started using another website in addition to southernsavers so I can compare and get updates on items not listed on this site. We kind of just need to do a little more work when we’re doing super doubles. Using the HT express lane is very helpful to confirm prices. Hope you find some good deals!

          • Monica

Perhaps you may not have noticed, but Jenny is human. I’m sure an
enormous amount of time is spent relaying all the information that she
does…and might I add, at no charges to the members. I’ve been a
regular visitor on this site for quite some time, looked it all over,
and I’ll be danged if I ever saw a guarantee on all the information
provided. As a matter of fact, if I’m not mistaken, she requests any
additional deals or errors be relayed at the end of each of her posts.
So this is the way I see it, if this is all you have to be pissed
about-count your blessings or you can stop being dependent on others to
find your deals and get out there and do the leg work yourself. It takes
some kind of ungrateful nerve to get pissy with someone that is trying
            to help.

            • Teresa Clifton

              I second that! Unbelievable!!

          • guest

Sales are different from state-to-state. Do your own research and figure out what is on sale at your store versus being “pissed” at the person “running” this blog.

LOL. I’m not worthy of an opinion because I choose not to post my real whole name in a public forum. lmao. Yeah, ok. I highly doubt Jenny will waste her time with ONE angry guest to her site with an attitude problem.
Is it your opinion that Jenny should put disclaimers on each and every page because theirs a POSSIBILITY that a mere 5% of her viewing audience is too lazy to do their own additional legwork (looking at the express lane for items before you go to the store) and/or to naive to realize the disclaimer on their own (ie common knowledge to many and most all coupones)? rofl. Like someone else said, change the channel or do you need additional instructions for that as well? Ok then, take care!

          • lowes

Jenny does her best to list all sales that she is given, she saves all of us a ton of money, my suggestion to you is, if you do not like this blog then use another, for we all are very thankful to Jenny for helping us save, she may not be perfect at everything that is posted but she does her best and thats ok by me..

          • Nat

Just wondering… WHAT mistakes were they? You have to give examples!

        • guest

Not all stores have the same prices. I have 3 different HT’s close to me that I frequent and even the prices at those locations can vary. This price list is a guide, not the law.

      • Virginia

        Please see http://www.southernsavers.com/2013/01/quick-tip-print-limit-reached/

Not all deals are at all stores. Individual stores reserve the right to change their own prices. I suggest calling your local customer service and inquire after the prices before you go to the store, especially if your local store usually has different prices than the usual advertisement.

      • nwaterbugz

If I was so “pissed” by the person who puts out this blog then I would treat it like it was the radio in my car or television station….. I WOULD JUST SIMPLY CHANGE THE CHANNEL! So if you dont like the FREE help and knowledge that Jenny gives us then simply dont sign on to her website. How are your words supposed to be encouraging to a fine lady with 4 small girls to continue to spread her MONEY SAVING TIPS. Sure we all have thought we were going to get a good deal on something from time to time but I have not will I ever hold Jenny accountable for a stores decision to price their items demographically. Did you know that the beach stores near Nags Head dont even have sales in the summer months. Because they can take advantage of the vacationers they know will pay the regular prices. Can you point your finger to any individual for that decision? NOPE thats a corporate decision. So I encourage you to change the channel…..

        • ALL of you people are hilarious. Just got to say. My point is DON”T post up “sales” unless you’re going to actually take the time to make sure they are correct. It’s misrepresentation and wasting others time. Don’t like me wanting an answer/explanation from whomever this Jenny person is (which I still haven’t gotten) you can skip right on over my comment. I’m not the only one here who posted being pissed off and I have every right to be seeing as how this has happen quite often.

          • Kelly

And to everyone who is upset with Emily for posting her opinion, everyone is entitled to post one, whether good or bad, and you dont have to read hers if you dont want to. Also, I believe the people, Jenny and whoever else, that run this site get paid to do so and this is “her” job so we as customers, albeit unpaying customers, still have expectations that what is posted will be correct (not 100%). If we don’t post complaints, mistakes, etc. and then choose to stop using her website, the number of users of this site drops and I would think that would potentially cost her as companies that post ads on this site that pay her won’t want to as there is not a high enough user base. That is just my 2 cents, but hopefully Jenny WILL be reading these posts and respond to them.

          • Names Certainly Matter

I ask again: “If you deem a coupon match-up inappropriate dont use it. If you want to
help out others, jot them (items that are not showing as on sale in your area) down while shopping and pop back on here and
let us know!! Wouldn’t that be more productive (then being “pissed” at someone whose job it is to save people money)?”

It’s becoming more and more obvious to me that you’re not here to be helpful. You’re simply here to post a list of demands and questions that are to be answered solely by the blog owner. A great idea would be to go back to the store… jot down the sales that weren’t on sale in your area (emphasis on “your area”) then post them here so maybe the blog owner (That’s Jenny, btw. Her lovely picture is in the bottom right hand corner of every single page on her site… but you’d know that if you were even a semi-frequent visitor to this blog) has more to go on then just some belligerent ramblings from an ungrateful naive diva.

            • Enough Already

I think this is enough on the issue. Grow up and shut up. ALL of you.

            • kate

Not to add to the drama, but she does “get paid” by those that use the. People that have printable coupons on their site get money (how do you think ‘coupon suzy’ with her commercials makes money?). Anything about Amazon and the deals they run, if you click-through the link and buy it, that person, if an affiliate, makes money. Similar to when/if you click on an ad banner or link. If you get enough people clicking, buying, printing, etc., then you make quite a bit of money. So we are customers to this site, and if we don’t like it, we can go elsewhere where the customer service is better. We may not “pay” for this information, but she is profiting off of us.

            • mindy

hahahah….let move on. Hey, i got neutragena bar soap free with $2 coupon from couponnetwork.com.

          • Coupon diva

I think that you are being a little dramatic. How can you be pissed or even mad with someone who is providing you a heads up for no cost? You sound crazy to me for even being upset a little, because it ultimately boils down to you doing your own shopping and finding deals that work for you this being nothing more than a guideline. You are using this site to cut out on the hard work, and then getting mad at the person who helped you. I have been using this site for almost a year now and if there was not another correct price given, the hints and tips of this site have helped me tremendous. Yes you are entitled to your opinion but don’t mistake a guideline with a fact sheet.

          • Nat

Are you sure the sales wer’ent correct? Maybe your store just didn’t post signs!!!!!!

      • Guest

I noticed a few items that were listed here and on the Express Lane as “on sale” only to get to the store and no sale sticker on the shelf. I personally went to Customer Service and asked about a particular item (Tyson Chicken Breasts) and she looked it up on her computer and gave me the price. Turns out it was the sale price and the shelf had not been tagged. She said 99% of the time, the Express Lane price is the true price.

        • Kristen

Yes, this happens a lot….especially if you go early on Wed. before they have all the stickers out. I just keep Express Lane pulled up on my phone and check the price if I’m not sure….usually it rings up correctly at checkout.

        • guest

SO true. I think the problem is almost always with the store. You also have to keep in mind that sometimes they have not changed the prices if you get to the store early or they may changed the unadvertised ones during the sale week. I have definitely gone to the store and had the prices be different, but I know that is a possibility. Love what you do for us Jenny! Thank you! In fact, for my stores in NC all of the prices were correct.

      • Kristen

Please choose a different blog if you are so irritated with this one. I truly appreciate all of the effort put into the sale listings. Is it always perfect, no. But when I look at how much I’ve saved over the last few years, I think I can deal with the one or two things that aren’t correct. If you want to stick it out with SS, when you make your list, pull up the Express Lane online for your store (or the closest one to you that has Express Lane). The price listed on Express Lane is the price it will ring up at the store (99% of the time). Even if you get to the store and there is no sale sticker on it yet (especially if you go early on Wednesdays). I keep EL pulled up on my phone, just in case I’m not sure. The coupon links can change at anytime…Jenny has no control over that. If it doesn’t work, just move on to the next one.

    • Guest

Not sure why my comment isn’t here anymore but I’d like an answer. Why are you posting up items that aren’t on sale as being on sale or posting coupons that are invalid/expired?

      • Guest

People make mistakes, it’s called being human. For instance one coupon was printing w/an exp of Dec 31st 2012… its now fixed (on the manufacturers end) and now is printing w/an exp of Dec 31, 2013. Sometimes its creator error (this blog) and sometimes its mfr error… either way, its certainly not on purpose.
You have to also remember HT spans many diff states, it IS possible that certain sales may differ from state to state let alone store to store. If it’s not showing a sale sign or price at your store, ask a clerk to scan it for you & tell you if it’s on sale or not… that’s what I do if Im uncertain.
Lastly, its possibly your own error. In the past Ive read on here that fruit is on sale, I assumed it was frozen fruit because it was post w/ounces next to it, turns out it was canned fruit. My own mistake. Like everyone else… I’m just human.

The first shopping week of the year has been Super Doublesfor the past 3-4 years; what does history show as the *next* HT event for super doubles? I regrettably haven’t been able to get to HT this week so Im curious when it may be possibe for the next? Though I know it’s not written in stone, I would love some opinions! Thanks!!

    • me

For those questioning the prices listed in this blog. HT has regional ads. The ones in NC do not match TN, VA, MD, SC ETC. All the stores do not carry the same exact item. The best bet is to create an express lane account and check prices for your store or area that way as all stores do not have express lane.

      • crystalgoodwin3

Alot of times my store in NC is alittle more on some items. I guess it’s because it’s considered to be in a beach location. I can’t complain though because they will do triples and doubles all winter. I’m hoping for triples to start tomorrow.

    • adodd

Does anyone know if Harris Teeter accepts $5 off from dollar general? Thanks!

      • Wendy Claborn

They’ve accepted mine before but made sure that it was after all coupons had been applied.

      • MacBear1000

Mine says they don’t consider dollar general or family dollar competitors, i’ve tried using them before. I think it depends on each store

      • savinmavin

mine does, you can always try and see

      • Wendy Claborn

I tried to use it yesterday and they said “while they take competitor coupons they just don’t take the internet printed kind” They have to be directly from the source.

    • Sabrina T

I am not sure if it is mentioned, but I got the 1 Liter Listerine with a free smaller size bottle attached all for free. It was on sale for $3.99 and I used the $2 off coupon from coupons.com. Also, there was a $1 off breakstones16 oz sour cream printable and it is on sale for $2.29.

Shopped today – spent exactly 50.00 and saved 99.56. While I was happy with my savings, I was pretty frustrated that $12 worth of ZVR’s were not taken off my order. I had to stand in line at Customer Service while the manager scrolled through my iPhone checking my saved coupons so I could be refunded. He was not at all familiar with ZVR’s and thought I had saved them incorrectly. How frustrating. The lady in front of me had the same problem. It didn’t seem like they were going to bother contacting Corporate about the problem, so I wrote them a nice long email detailing the problem. I see people complained on their Facebook page days ago about this problem. So apparently, they don’t check their Facebook page. Hopefully Corporate will read their email because I’m shopping again soon and don’t want to go through this AGAIN. For those of you whose ZVR’s didn’t come off, please email Corporate. The more they hear this from customers, the quicker they will be in fixing it. Happy saving!!

      • kb

This happened to me the other day, but I printed out a copy of the page showing which ones I’d saved to my card. I double checked during checkout that they came off, and when they didn’t, the manager just looked at my sheet and took off the total amount from my order. I have heard of a lot of people complaining about this though!

      • Neet

Same thing happened to me. The $3 off of two Pantene’s didn’t come off. I called them and they told me to come back up there and they would fix it. Quite frankly I don’t think I should have to drive back up there (gas is going way up again!). I wish they could get them right.

My Harris Teeter won’t take the Nature Made or Nature’s Bounty coupons from the Walgreens vit. and supple. booklet, even though it said manuf. coupon, they will take the rr’s from Walgreens-don’t understand why??

    • Ebelk

I have not couponed in a awhile and I am noticing that a lot of the coupons are starting with a 0. Will these double?

    • guest

Great deal on Secret deoderant…on sale 2 for $8, use $2 off 2 in most recent P&G whicih makes them 2 for $4. There’s a zvr for $2 off 2 Secrets so that makes them 2 for $2!!

    • vybd1327

Hormel website (hormel dot com) has a coupon for $1/1 microwave bowl and Harris Teeter has them on sale for $1.97!! Making them FREE!!!!!

    • Homeschoolingmom

I am new to all this couponing and rebates, I have a question that I hope someone can answer. Today 1/6 I purchase 1 neosporin, 1 neosporin lip care adn 1 ban-air(cars for the boys) use the coupons one $2 OF Lipcare that doubled, 1 $2 neosporin that doubled, and one 50 cent for bandaids that doubled. The original price for the items were , 5.15; 5.45 &2.00 before the coupons the total was higher than the Johnson and Johnson offer, but in order to get the $5 back was my total supossed to be 10 after coupons or before, how does this work? I purchased these 3 items separately since the rebate form said submit original receipt. Please help. Thanks.

      • shopperbynight

I believe it is the amount they charged you for the items……coupons are not a factor for the rebate.

    • Annette

would love to finally pay off colloge dept!!!!

    • Classico Pasta Sauce was 2 for $4.00 – had a $1 off coupon so they came out to $1 each – bought four and Catilna deal printed which gave me $3 off my next purchase. So I made a $1!
Also – HT in North Raleigh (off Falls of Neuse near 540) had a manager look at all my coupons in detail. They were looking for “do not double” coupons. Never did this before – none of mine said that but is this something new?

    • $2 off when you buy 3 Special K products didn’t ring up but they gave me the cash back. . .

    • shopperbynight

I found a couple deals that I don’t believe have been posted. The 2 bar packs of Right Guard soap are $1.69 and there is a $2/4 bars printable=free! Also the swiffer starter set is $19.99, and there is a $5.00 Qpon from the newspaper, and a $5.00 loadable Qpon to your Harris Teeter card., making it $9.99. I love Harris Teeter! : )
