I just checked the express lane at my Harris Teeter. Looks like they have updated their website for next week sales if anyone wants to check out their prices.

My Front Porch Ice Cream coupons says “Do Not Double” unfortunately.

      • Joy

My HT still doubled it, they are really liberal with coupons.

    • kellync

Can’t find the Jimmy Dean bowl coupon. Tried zip 19057 and it wasn’t there.

      • Jen

        I cant either!

      • Guest

Have you read the NI for those bowls? If not, you might want to, then make an informed decision if this is a product you think anyone should consume.

        • Onlycoupons

          whats NI?

          • AB

My guess is Nutrition Information?  The D’Lights aren’t all that bad and are quite tasty

        • Karmah5000

I haven’t, but I can guess that’s there’s enough salt in it to give a horse a heart attack.  I don’t buy them anyway.  Cheaper to scramble my own eggs and it’s really not *that* hard either.

        • Lowes91

That was NOT my question about the NI info, I asked if anyone had found them..If i was concerned about the Ni then I would have asked that..maybe I want to give this to my husband or in fact my dog, that would be my choice..thank you have a good day!

I’m gonna get FREE milk! I am so excited about that!

      • Mitchells

how are you gonna get free milk?

        • Theresa McGallicher

Smart Balance milk is on sale for $3 (1/2 gallon) and when the $1.50 insert coupon doubles, it comes out free.

      • Austinpae

you will probably have to be there bright and early to get it usually mine sells out quick and doesnt restock till after sale

        • LuvCpns

Depends on the location. My store keeps things pretty well stocked.

        • Racjstevens

Same with the store in Franklin.  Doesn’t restock.  :(

          • Marycansave

get a raincheck…use it next super doubles.

            • Kswebb217

My store in Chesapeake VA constantly restocks throughout the day. If they run out they order more and have it back in stock asap. They are amazing!!!

            • Karmah5000

I go to the one in Chesapeake too (Greenbrier area) and I agree, they’re usually good about restocking and / or having stacks of stuff in the aisles in preparation of huge sellouts.  Someone there knows their coupons and I’m glad for it.

      • Guest

How? Others may benefit if you are willing to share.
The widely available SB coupons are DND, if this is to which you were referring you might not be able to get free milk. Still a great price, just not free.

      • jake1951

Smart Balance released a coupon on their FB page today BOGO so 2 half gallons free!

        • LuvCpns

Not everyone gets the BOGO coupon on Facebook. Some only get a $.50

        • Britta

My HT will not take a BOGO coupon. The coupon policy states that they will not accept printables for a free product.

          • Dee

The policy is supposed to mean you can’t bring in a “Get This Free” (but you don’t need to buy anything else) coupon from the internet, but you should be able to use a BOGO.  You might want to contact corporate…

    • Leenie

Can someone please tell me how you check the price of something at HT on the computer before you go.

      • guest

Go to http://www.harristeeter.com. Find the link for online shopping, it is also called “express lane”. Click on it. Then enter your state, closest city (not every HT has an express lane), and you should come to a portion of the site where you can “search the store”. Type in keywords to find your product.

Please tell others how, it may help someone.

It might help if you read widely available the SB coupons, most are DND. If you are referring to Smart balance, maybe not.

      • Guest

sorry, this is a reply to Nelliesmommy – posted in wrong place

    • Guest

Does anybody know why some coupons say, “do not double.”  I really don’t understand.

      • Guest

A variety of reasons why the manufacturers set the terms as they do. They have huge marketing deprtments who determine what startegies they want to try, track certain regional usage, and ultimately employ. Not many consumers know exactly why certain terms are used or understand. All I need to know is what are the coupon terms, which is easy to read. I follow those terms.
I don’t care why a manufacturer makes a marketing decision, unless I am a stockholder and want to follow the bottom-line. In those cases I can go to the annual meeting and ask questions.
Tracking coupon use, % of uasge, type of stores and values are all important factors to the manufacturers. There is no one reason why coupons are DND.

    • LuvCpns

Smart Balance Spreadable Butter is $1.29 according to Express Lane so if you have $1 coupons it’s free. I have 6 $1 coupons so I think I’ll save my $1.60 coupon for another time.

      • LuvCpns

Providing my HT doubles the $1 coupons, it starts with a 5 but does say DND. Usually they do double at my store.

      • Tiptip82

kroger and I think walmart have them on sale for $1.59 this week anyway

        • LuvCpns

Not sure what your point is since still cheaper at HT. I don’t have a Kroger and it will either be free or $.29 at HT so I’ll skip the hassle of Walmart especially since it’s cheaper.

    • Jweg

We went to HT in Laurinburg to get some deals from this past week and scoped out some for super doubles. Barilla microwave bowls are 3.29 and we have a 1.50 coupon which will double making it .29 ea.  Gonna rack up on those, they’ll be great lunches.

      • Marycansave

In my area we got a $1/1 and a $1.50/2

      • Godsmackt

         Its a 1.50 off 2 for the Barilla bowls…:/

If you use a ecoupon (p&g esaver) & you have a paper coupon at harris teeter, can you use both ? For example, I have a paper coupon for gain $1.00 & a ecoupon through P&G, will they honor both?

      • Caramelangel1015

I tried using a PG esaver with a paper q but it didn’t automatically come off. I showed the cashier my esaver on my phone and she gave me the amount off. So I guess they honored it, but I’m not sure how it is supposed to work. I was warned that multiple people have had issues with them. HTH!

        • Msgooch2000

Unlike the HT ZVRs, the P&G eSaver coupons cannot be stacked with paper coupons.  You can use one or the other, not both.  Similarly, you cannot use a P&G eSaver with an HT ZVR.  I hope that helps!

          • Julie

That’s the reason most of us aren’t using the P&G eSavers – they’re not compatible with anything else, so it doesn’t really save you any money. Just ignore them & use your paper & Evic coupons together.

I hope there’s someone awake who can answer this for me…

I’m getting my Qs together for the big day tomorrow and I’ve been having
a nagging question floating around in my head. I dont know the answer
and am hoping one of you might!

The super doubles is a limit of 20 per day, but will they count regular
($0.50 off, ect) as one of those 20 or solely values over $0.99? This
leads me to be confused about another thing… do they track these 20
coupons on your store card, or is there a way around it by just coming
back in and maybe checking out with a different cashier?

Thanks for any help I can get!

      • Annadgali

HT doubles upto $2 this weeek and this includes all values under it. After the 20 coupon limit per day, all coupons are taken at face value. Also the coupon usage is tracked by the store card. Unfortunately there is no way around it. HTH

      • Kswebb217

No its 20 coupons period that they will double/super double a day. Now you can use as many coupons as you want but only the first 20 will double (doesn’t matter the value). Yes I am pretty sure that they can track the coupons by your card. I have never tried to go back in.

        • K M

I can’t thank you both enough for getting back to me and so promptly! I was sitting here thinking I might be alone due to the hour.

I appreciate both of your replys and I will adjust my trip as such. :) Take care and have fun tomorrow!

        • Evelynserrano22

omg, im new at this. I was happy with my trip  160.00  with 70 oop and I just realized halfe of  my coupons didnt double. I though it was 20 super and the others less than .99 will double too. ;-(

        • fhduai

Yes, they do track by card, even when it’s not super doubles.

i was going to try using the Smart Balance milk coupon but read some reviews online that the milk taste kind of ‘fishy’ so wasn’t sure if I should buy it. I love using it to make hot cocoa in the mornings.

Anyone can tell me if the milk taste like regular milk? I usually get the Harris Teeter organics milk…..thanks!!

      • jake1951

The Smart Balance milk is great!

        • Rhond

We’ve tried all of them, and the only one that tastes a little fishy is the “Heart Smart” one in the green carton.  The others are all fine and taste like regular milk.

      • Bluh2

Love SB milk, never had any with “fishy” taste plus I find it lasts much longer than regular milk. (I can smell and taste milk that is just slightly “funky” and never had that with this milk)  I’ve got several friends and family hooked on this brand as well so many “thumbs up” here.

      • stacey

For me personally, i only like certain flavors of the sb, i think some of it is a little sweet tasting. But free, and it lasts a month. i love it!! i love anything free.lol

      • Skaye14

I think the Omega infused does taste a little off, kind of fishy.  I have tried the “heart smart” Smart Balance in the green carton and like it.

      • Angel in Charleston

We buy it all the time. No complaints or problems here!

      • jmichaelp

The Omega version does taste fishy to me, but not to my girlfriend.

    • Soniac803

Does anyone know if the Lowes bought by harris teeter is having the same sale as harris teeter. Fort Mill SC

    • Shortyshell5

My local HT coupon policy says they will only honor 3 coupons for the same item during super double week. Addition will be face value.

      • Guest

You can only use 3 coupons for the same item, two can be internet coupons. It’s not because of super double week, it’s always that way. It’s the policy.

    • Warning the 2.00 coupons are not ringing up so watch your total

    • Lisa

anybody else NOT receive their weekly email of HT specials?   Mine is not in my inbox and i looked in my junk folder as well, but not there.

      Thanks in advance.

      • Mzsscorpio

this happened to me and my sister once and I had to call customer service and they corrected the problem by the next day.

    • Lisa

      Ha, just received it!  :-)

The $2 coupon for Bic disposable razors do not double and it’s in the fine print.

      • Sarahnet0

        mine worked this morning

        • Kerry72nc

you’re lucky. My HT turned me and a another shopper down on that q. I didn’t even see it in the paragraph.

      • fhduai

Yeah you have to watch out on that one w/ the huge barcode, the computer won’t double it. I’m a HT cashier and had to warn everyone who came through my line w/ that one today…a LOT of people were going to get the razors and ended up putting them back.

    • couponmomof5

I bought 2 magnum ice cream packs today and got back a $2 off my next shopping order. Also, I bought 2 california pizza kichen and got back $1 off my next order.

      • irene

i bought 2 magnum too but didn’t get $2 back, i was expecting to get it but didn’t…what should i do?

    • Guest

Does anyone know what I should do if my Catalina was for the wrong amount? I bought 3 kikkoman sauces so I thought I was supposed to get a $2 cat but I got a $1 one instead. Is there anyone I can contact?

    • Britta

Not a bad day. My total was $5 off of what was expected, but I am still pleased. Saved $90.29, spent $31.72.

    • Jhftc

be careful…the HT on James Island didn’t double the 2.00 coupons correctly

      • Jessica

I am looking at my receipt too, and it doesn’t look right

        • Jessica

It looks like one of them didn’t double, but the rest did. I think it was the glade thingy.

          • Jhftc

I caught it so they over rode it manually but I wanted to give a heads up…i went over my whole receipt after i posted this and they missed 1 – 1.50  coupon and 3 1.00 so I am stopping by on my way home…Nicole is working and she is great about this stuff

            • Jessica

Nicole is the freakin cream of the crop! She rocks!  I had to run an errand and went back and she just gave me cash for the coupon that didn’t double.

            • jhftc

same here…she refunded the 6.95 on the coupons that they didn’t take off…I knew what coupons I had for what I bought so I had everything written down…man we have so many new people there…have you noticed?

            • Jessica

No joke. There is a new young manager, and he is super. I go to James Island HT for the managers even though I live in South Winderemere. I very much dislike the managers on 17

    • Caramelangel1015

Had an awesome trip today! Total before coupons $147.57 and my OOP cost was $22.32 plus I received a $1 off my next purchase cat.

    • Toccara Smith

Great morning! $90 worth of groceries for $11!  The store was busier than usual for 6:30AM. There were 5 people in line waiting for 7AM. FYI: The $5 off 5 Uncle Ben’s brown and white rice will scan for the small microwavable bowls of rice that are on sale for $1 whch makes it free! Also, watch out for the Sierra Mist coupon because it will not scan. The manager will have to override it. Also, the Dean’s pretzel dip coupon works with the french onion dip which makes it free as well. Good luck everyone!

      • burgycru

Thanks for the tip on the micro bowls! I got mine free too and planning to go back for some more! Thx

Was anyone able to find the Front Porch ice cream? I couldn’t locate it at my Charleston, SC store.

      • Lauram7

         That Q is a DND, and they didn’t override it. . .

      • K M

If you go to their website (enjoyfrontporch) it has a “Where to Buy” tab.

At my store it was in the back corner wayyy up on the top shelf, near (and a similar size as) the Ben & Jerry’s containers.

        • ab

Thank you so much for the info!

Great morning for me too! $98 worth of groceries for $18.98. I love living where I live! 3 HT’s within 30 minutes and they are usually empty when I get there in the morning. I love the Hormel Pork that are B1G1 and then the $1 off each coupon. Makes for some cheap dinners!

    • chrissy

Just as an FYI, the Wanchi Ferry meals at my HT were not all on sale.  Actually, only one flavor was so the rest were regular priced at $8.45.

      • Jen

They only had one type at my store!

      • angie b

if u get 1 which is 4.22 if u printed the q on coupons.com for 1.50 and combine with the $1 evic, comes out to about .22. thats wat i did

        • chrissy

What I was saying that at my store, only one flavor was buy one get one. One package rang up at $8.45 before any coupons were used. I had the $1.60 off coupon as well as the evic and it still didnt come to under $4. Wasn’t worth it.

          • Theresa McGallicher

My Wanchai Ferry ran up $8.45 too, and I panicked an made my DS run back to check the sign and make sure they were BOGO (only the Kung Pao variety). It showed up as $4.22 on my CRT, even though I wasn’t able to see it on the monitor. If you got an eVic coupon for it (in addition to the IP and the Saving Star eCoupon) it is a MM>

my evic on it was for 1.50 !! MM woh ho!!!

      • K M

Only the Kung Pao variety was on sale at my store. I got 2 bags and had one for dinner tonight because it wouldn’t fit in the freezer. Oh the woes of a couponer! LOL

My bf likes Asian food and spices more then I do but we both really liked it. It’s got a bit of a heat kick to it, but nothing to really knock you on your tail. I only added a quarter of the sauce package because that’s where all the sodium is, but I cheated and added a little Kikkoman sweet & sour to my plate (because I’m a wuss)… it was delicious. xD

I usually find in meals like these the chicken tastes of an old rubbery slimey flip-flop, not in these tho… surprisingly it actually tasted like chicken!! :) Anyway, we were both impressed (not enough to ever pay $5 for one HAHA, but really good none-the-less).

    • Stacey Lynnie

I was so thrilled to only spend $26.19 for $109.74 of groceries!!  I am going back tomorrow to save some more!  Thanks so much Jenny!!!

Good morning! got $119.00 worth of groceries, for $38.00! would have done better, but several items either weren’t even on the shelves or the prices were different that what showed on Southern Savers. But all in all, very happy!

    • Gtoranch

Thank you so much Jenny!    This morning’s trip was $125 full price and I only paid $25.88.    The Bic $2 coupon did not double but the manager doubled it mannually.

      • Topocoupons

What all did you buy ???

        • Gtoranch

           I got:  (so excited)
2 Fiber One Brownies, 4 Chinet Paper Plates, 2 Ritz Crackers, 2 Glade Warmers, 2 Hellman’s Mayo, 4 Smucker’s Toppings (did not ring up at 1.99, but at 2.49 – after checking receipt), 3 Bick Razors, 2 WF Chung Fronze Meals, 4 Ball Park Hot Dogs, and 1 pint o FrontPorch Ice Cream   Good Luck and Have Fun!

      • Joy

Yes, watch the BIC coupon. I had to go to customer service.

      • Your welcome! Great to hear you saved so much!

    • LuvCpns

Great 1st SD trip. $121.69 groceries and paid $4.15 oop. Hope you all saved the evic’s to your card for the Free Garlic Jack’s Barbecue sauce and the Free Sizzling Salad Dressing Kit. Wanted to try both so now I can and for free. Heads up though even though they were saved to my card they didn’t come off in my ZVR total. I had to go to Customer Service and get reimbursed. I got 6 free bottles of KC Masterpiece Barbecue sauce, Free Chinet Lunch and Desert plates, 2 Free Barilla Blue Box Pastas, 2 Free Veet Wax Strips, 2 Free Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Clothes, Free Smart Balance Milk, $1 Tom’s of Maine Mouthwash and Toothpaste, 2 $.67 Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauces (I’m stocked on BQ sauce now LOL), 2 Always Infinity 14 ct for $1.99 and 1 for $.99 I had a raincheck for them at $3.99 – $1 cpn – $1 evic on one, got $5 off Metamucil $2 cpn I got with a free sample dbled and $1 saved evic cpn, Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream raincheck for $19.99 – $3 cpn – $3 evic cpn = $13.99, Front Porch Ice Cream Blackberry Crumble (can’t wait to try it). They were out of Smart Balance Spreadable Butter B1G1 but I got a raincheck and asked when they would get a truck and she called back and  they said they had just restocked it but I had already reached my 20 coupon limit for the day so hopefully they will have it when I go back tomorrow plus I have the raincheck for future use. I also used a $10 off $50 recycle bank coupon. My store always scans it first so it takes the $10 off before coupons. Plus I had a $20 credit from a new prescription at the pharmacy, it was for my dog and cost me $4.95 and they gave me $20. I love HT!

      • Gtoranch

Wow, it looks like you had a great shopping trip!   Where did you find the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Clenasing Clothes?   I can only find the larger packs at our store.
        Thank you.

        • LuvCpns

They were in the same aisle at my store with the Makeup, Lotions, rest of the cleansing type clothes like YES TO etc. They had quite a few of the Neutrogena 7 count packs. In fact I’m not sure my store had the larger packs now that you mention it.

          • Gtoranch

            Thank you.

        • pamgam

If you can’t find it in the makeup isle, try the isle where they have the travel size products that is where I found mines.

          • Jhftc

in the james island store they weren’t on either of those islaes…I think I found them by accident on the body wash isle

      • Sonny

The E-vic coupons for the Free items are no longer available. I know that I have saved them to my card but now they are gone. They are do not even show up anymore.

        • Cheryl

Mine show up when I logged in… and I printed mine out! Maybe you didn’t save them to your card.

          • Sonny

I am sure I saved them to my card. They aren’t showing up though.

        • bowslayer

i saved mine before i left the house. wasn’t looking while they rung it up. didn’t take it off. call cust svc, they told me to bring in the upc symbol to my store and they would refund

    • Jen

Spent $1.15 and saved $97.36!  And my dad spent $22.78 and saved $103!  The Baltimore City store was super quiet for super doubles!

    • Angelacason14

is there a limit of coupons to double?  thanks:)

      • LuvCpns

Yes, 20 per day double, anything over 20 would just be face value.

    • Angelacason14

      thanks so much

    • Joy

I don’t know if these has been mentioned, I haven’t read through all the comments. But I just got TRUVIA’S Baking Blend for  $0.49!!! I had a $2 coupon from online that doubled (http://www.southernsavers.com/2012/06/new-printable-coupons-orville-truvia-right-guard-more/) and then I had 2 e-VIC coupongs (one for $1 & $1.50). It’s normally about $7.

    • guest

So just to clarify…will they double a $2 off coupon? I know they usually only do up to $1.98.

      • pamgam

They will double a $2 coupon during this Super Double event.

    • Lnipaver

So they do double $2 coupons? Not just under $2, correct?

      • SPA78

yes, it did this morning. It is in their ad as well if you need hard truth!

        • Lnipaver

it just said “up to” $2 so I didn’t know if it was “up to and including $2” :)

    • Erinpaws

Heads up, our local HT (Holly Springs, NC) will only accept 2 competitor coupons per customer. After my trip I called corporate, and they said their “intention” is to only accept 1 so I was lucky. Overall still a good first trip ($142.78 for $30.38 OOP) but so disappointed I couldn’t use the remainder of my $22 RR!

    • savinmavin

This morning I got 2 Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaners, 2 Hormel Pok loins, 2 Smithfield pork sirloins, 3 lbs ground beef, 2 Wholly Guacamole, 2 King’s Hawiian Buns, 4 Cabot cheeses, 2 Smart Balance milks, 2 Hormel cure 81 chopped ham, 2 Lance Cracker Creations, 1 Oreo, all for $23.36! Planning my next trip now.

    • Evelynserrano22

I thought it was 20 super doubles and the other regular doubles. Half my coupons didnt. buuuu

      • K M

I was up really late last night and thought to ask this exact question here on the blog. I was informed that it was only 20 per day no more no matter the value. Sorry this happened to you.

    • Sarahnet0

    • emb

I see that PG tips tea is B1G1. I have a raincheck for 4.50 for this. Would I be able to use this and get the 2 boxes for $4.50?

      • Ukgirlintn

You should be able to. If you have a rain check and purchase one for 4.50 you should get the other for free. I got some yesterday. 2.50 was cheeeeaaap.

    • cheryl

Here are several deals that I don’t think were mentioned in case you have some of these Qs:

*Had a $1 peelie for Goldfish bread. One of them was advertised for $2.99 so should have been $.99. It rang up for full price, so I got it free.

*Had a $2 International Delight Iced Coffee coupon from Vocal Point. It was $3.99 so got it free.

*Had a McCormicks Grill Mates coupon for $1 from a Kroger home mailer. It rang up at a sale price (wasn’t ticketed), got it free.

      • LoveMeA Q

Thanks Cheryl, I used my Vocal Point q and got that Intl Delight Coffee drink for free because of your post.  Appreciate that so much!

    • Silke

why can’t I see the comments?

    • savanah tee

HEADS UP to everyone, you can get a high value $2 off 2 Jimmy Dean sausage rolls at the walmart store link. I used it this morning and doubled with no problems. Current price is $3.79 but with coupon, you just pay $1.79 EACH so it’s a good deal!

I’m going to make a yummy sausage breakfast muffin with egg in the morning for my kiddos!!

By the way, is the doubling of 20 coupons per day strictly enforced? Seems I’ve a lot more to get on my list……couldn’t do everyone in one shopping trip *sighs*

      • fhduai

The computer does all the doubling so yeah you can’t get around it.

      • Sarah

I could only find the $1/2 coupon

    • Ashley

First: Thank you, Jenny! FYI Coppertone Sunscreen was not on sale, and neither was Freschetta Pizza. Kiss My Face was nowhere to be found. Also no Tribe hummus at my store. this was my very first super-doubles to try, and I’m not sure how the members here count their savings, but my groceries, without the VIC savings and without coupons and doubles, would have been $255.43. I paid only $145.22. So about $110 savings. Of course, that’s at HT’s inflated prices. Live and learn…couple mistakes: I accidentally brought 30 coupons after a very cursory count yesterday, so only 20 coupons doubled. I didn’t have the heart to try and remove all the items that were not doubling after she already rang them up, but next time I will plan better! Second mistake: I didn’t have a VIC card til today (I never shop HT b/c it’s so high), so I hadn’t remembered that I needed to load the e-VIC for the Brawny onto my card, which I guess I could have done with my iPhone. So I lost $2 there. Third mistake: I bought Wholly Guac 100 cal packs, not noticing that only the full “classic” was on sale (was it?).

      • K M

I’m sorry you had a hard time. Sounds like you’ve got a big heart to take a hit to the pocketbook like that just cuz you didn’t want the cashier upset with you. I find that really sweet, but my advice is, if this ever happens to you again take your items straight to CS after paying. This way you can get situated on your own terms and then approach CS fully prepared and return what didn’t work right. :)

I’m also new to HT and Super Doubles (tho I’ve been couponing for about 5 years). It really helped me to read their coupon policy from start to finish without skimming. Just Google: “Harris Teeter Coupon Policy” and it’ll be the first result. I still had questions but lucked out with some really helpful folks here on this blog!

Even after all the prep and everything I was still overcharged by about $9.50 because of the Pepsi deal. I thought Pepsi and 7up could be mixed and matched, for the Buy 2 Get 3 free deal, because they both had the same signage. When I checked out I knew my total was too high but just didn’t have the time (I had frozen food and ice cream!) to stand around and figure it out with CS. I’ll be going back tomorrow anyway so I’ll speak with someone then about it. I hope to be reimbursed or at the very least return them and be refunded.

Needless to say… I hope your trip goes better tomorrow!!

        • ashley

Thanks so much for your support! I just chalked it up to being new at this, and it seemed that it would be difficult to figure out WHICH coupons didn’t double unless I told the cashier to just stop right there and hand them to me when she said, “they’ve stopped doubling.” How do you figure that out with CS after all 30 coupons have been scanned? I only “lost” $9.60 on those coupons that didn’t double….which I would love to have, but not sure how I could make it right with CS today.

          • K M

Ah, I hear ya. Yeah, that would be difficult. It sounds like a tricky situation all the way around. I’m really glad this didn’t discourage you though and I hope you’re planning more trips! Take care.

          • Shalwas

You will get the hang of it.  The first step is realizing your mistkakes (as you have done) and then you won’t make those mistakes in the future :)
One piece of advice I would give any new couponer is to hand over one coupon at a time to the cashier.  Sounds silly, but it helps spot any trouble coupons right away.  Just tell the cashier you are “in training”.

    • micaelareid

if it is 20 coupons a day and I went at 7 this morning does this mean I have to wait until 7 am tomorrow or does midnight start a new day?

    • Momma Ky

      Today’s total $444.65 ( 3 trans), I only paid $45.88 total for all 3..
** I Saved $398.77… ** Thank you ~ Thank you for all that you do !

      • Sonny

How did you do 3 trans when they only double 20 a day?

Resets at Midnight. Called corporate today to find out:)

      • Rbillingsly

I used my coupons for the day and tried to use them at midnight.  They did NOT reset. The store manager told me they reset at 7am.  I see corporate says midnight but I have personally experienced something different.  I could check it out by trying to buy one item at midnight and see if it will double.  Mine didn’t frown.  I live in Virginia.

i would wait 24 hours just so you’re not wasting your time.  my ht says a day is “24 hours from the time of purchase” not 12:00 – 11:59.

    • If anybody has the Front Porch ice cream coupon and doesnt plan to use it, I’m just saying I know a guy. We unfortunately didn’t get it in our paper, but I love their ice cream regardless!

      • Ctrinkle

Just an fyi – I don’t think that coupon doubled.

        • ab

          Mine did.

    • Sonny

Just got back from HT. My total was $29.11 for $110.00 worth of stuff. My HT had a 2.00 q for the Lloyds BBQ that they let u use along with the $1/1 q which doubled so I got it for $1. I wasn’t sure if they were going to take the store q and the manf. q but they did. Good trip today for someone who is just beginning. Planning on going back tomorrow.

    • K M

Got another question for the HT pros…

Do the e-VIC card loaded coupons count toward the 20 Q daily total?

      • reem

        no

I’m Planning my trip for this Sunday and I need a little advice from the couponing veterans. :) I was reading over the HT coupon policy and I see there is something about Internet Manufacturers coupons but Its very unclear. Is there any difference with the Internet Man. Coupons as opposed to using regular insert coupons? Is it still 3 like coupons, 20 doubled a day on the internet ones? Thanks for the advice guys! :)

Limit is 20 per day doubled total no matter coupon type. Limit on internet coupons is 2 per like item, Limit on insert (non internet) is 3 per like item. Have fun. HTH.

Aah..Harris Teeter and their fustrating coupon policies. I went to one yesterday 30 miles away from where I live and the store manager told me that I can’t use a internet printable BOGO coupon (it was a smart balance coupon). Is this true for anyone else?

          • LuvCpns

I’ve used BOGO internet coupons before at my HT. As long as you buy an item to get one free they normally take them. What they don’t take is internet FREE coupons without having to buy something. My store is pretty flexible. I think the store manager was wrong but some of this stuff is up to the manager’s discretion as I don’t think their coupon policy is clear on this particular point. You could contact corporate and ask for clarification.

          • Nicole

My store will not take any type of “free” internet printable coupon.  They will not take “get xyz for free.”  They will not take “buy abc get xyz for free. ” They will not take “buy xyz get xyz for free.”  I did email corporate and they did confirm this.

          • Sonny

I used that same coupon at my HT yesterday. The coupon beeped but the manager came and put it through with no hassle. I ended up getting the Smart Balance Popcorn which was on sale B2G3 so I ended up getting 4 boxes of popcorn for free.

    • my total yesterday was was 102.61 paid .53!!!! i love harris teeter.
total today was 134.89 and paid 14.14

      • Soccerball_8

        WHAT DID YOU GET?

    • Sarahnet0

What is the best way to calculate the TOTAL PURCHASE before Coupons?? Does anyone add the E-Vic discounts first? or leave it out of the Total??

      • LuvCpns

The coupons tendered at the bottom of your receipt includes the vic savings and all your coupons including ZVR so I use that as my total plus what I paid out of pocket as the TOTAL before discounts.

Second SD trip. I’m excited and need to share $119.56 ended up coming up as $2.40 credit! However they made me buy something or lose the $2.40. When this happened in the past a couple of times I don’t think the cashier noticed it was a credit and just credited my Visa but this time they said I had to buy something. Not sure if I like the way things processed or not because this trip included a $20 credit on my vic card from the pharmacy for a new prescription and what happens it takes the $20 off if you spend over $20 BEFORE coupons. I think in this case I would have preferred the coupons be taken off first and if I didn’t reach the $20 or more spend threshold then my $20 credit would stay on my card. Just wanted to let everyone know in case anyone has a Pharmacy credit on their account.

They restocked the Smart Balance spreadable butter in my store that they didn’t have yesterday so I got 4 free Smart Balance Spreadable butters, 3 using $1 coupons, and I had a coupon for a free one.
I also got 3 Barilla Microwavable Pasta Meals $3.29 – $1.50 = $.29 and I had one for lunch. It’s just pasta and sauce. Not bad for $.29 but I would never pay $3.29 for one. Just my opinion.
Also got 2 more free Chinet plates, the bounty napkins for $.35, Barber Chicken, and Simply potatoes deals.

But I really wanted to point out a couple deals that may not be obvious.

Make sure you check SavingsStar if your buying Dean’s Dip, new coupons to save today. I still have some from the last time they were a good deal!

Yesterday I saved to my vic card the ecoupons FREE Garland Jack’s Barbecue sauce ($2.49 in my store) and FREE Sizzling Salads ($3.99 in my store). This morning they also had 2 new ecoupons B1G1 Garland Jack’s Barbecue Sauce and B1G1 Sizzling Salads. Since I haven’t ever had either I decided to buy 2 of each and see what happened with the ecoupons. Plus the Sizzling Salads had a peelie on them for $1 off. What happened was all 4 ecoupons (B1G1 and Free) came off and the $1 peelies doubled so I got all 4 items for free plus $4 profit!

      2 Hansen’s Soda 6 pack cans $2.99 each – $1 cpn Facebook = $.99 I love the diet root beer!

Klondike bars are on evic special limit 2 for $1.77 – $1/2 cpn from Facebook = $1.27 each.

      8 Yoplait Yogurt evic 10/$4 or $.40 each – $.60/8 cpn – $.40 evic cpn = $.20 each plus savings star $.40 deposit making them $.15 each.

      Brawny 8 roll Paper Towels $4.77 evic spc. – $1 cpn Facebook = $2.77

Before I went to HT I went to Bi-Lo this morning. I’m lucky in that they are across the street from on another. Here’s what happened. Just must be my lucky day.

$49.38 before savings $6.22 incl tax after savings.

      5 All Mighty Pacs 24 cnt (I love these detergent packs/pods not bottles to mess with)$2.99 each – $1 cpn = $1.99 each – $1 any laundry item bi-lo cpn I got in the mail = $8.95 for 5.
2 Millstone 12 oz. Ground Coffee’s $6.99 each rain check for B1G1 – 2/$1.50 cpns – $1 off any coffee bi-lo cpn I got in the mail. Should have been $2.99 for both but when I got home the cashier took off $13.98 instead of just $6.99 so I got both coffees free plus $1 profit. I wondered why my oop ended up being only $6.22 but I didn’t check my receipt until I got home since I wanted to get to HT.

I know this long but I’m just so excited! Hope everyone is getting great deals! Thanks so much Jenny I could not do this without this site!

      • Joy

        Awesome!

      • stacey

i think you did even better than you think on the klondikes. my math is that you got them for .77 !!!

        • LuvCpns

Your right I miscalculated, I was too excited at the time. Even happier. Thanks!

    • poormtnmom

Can someone tell me the best way to print a list of my saved ZVR’s?

      • LuvCpns

If you create a shopping list the ZVR’s print at the bottom of the shopping list however depending on how many you have saved they may not all print. Mine get cut off. I have emailed corporate about this but they have yet to do anything about it. Apparently there is limit on the number that will print with the shopping list. Only other thing would be to screen print the ZVR as you look at them online. HTH

      • Shalwas

Try to right click the page and then select “print frame”.  I have to print each page seperatly but it includes the photos of each item that way.

I have a question. I have a B1G1 q for any Smart Balance product. My HT has the Smart Balance popcorn buy 2 get 3 free. could I use this q for this deal?

      • LuvCpns

I believe you can so you’d end up getting 4 free.

        • Sonny

          Thank you

      • Sonny

I did this deal today and got 4 free boxes of popcorn. The coupon beeped but the manger put it through without any hassle.

    • Curt

I got $40 worth of items for $4 on my first trip and I’m going back on Saturday after my new E-Vic email comes out. Plus I got a register coupon for $1.00 off my next trip

    • Do the 2.00 off from Magnum double by any chance?

      • Sonny

        yes they do

        • Tfwsaver

          My Catalinas have never doubled.

      • Ctrinkle

It doubles and if you buy 2 you get a $2 catalina that also doubled.  So two free boxes of Magnumu plus $4.

        • Lee

Thanks so much for pointing this out.  I got a $1.50/2 coupon  from Jenny’s coupon link site and then got a $2.00 at checkout.  I didn’t realize it would double.  Thank you both!

        • Maria

Just wanted to thank you along with Lee – I hadn’t realized the $2 Catalina would double!

        • Lee

Oh my goodness, we are all set with a freezer full of Magnum bars, and I think that if you spend $30 on ice cream (6 boxes) you get a $5 coupon on your next visit.  Thank you again Ctrinkle!!

      • Firedancer254

Mine did! Got 2 boxes for free and a $2 catalina in return!!

      Hi guys,

Sunday will be my first HT double coupon experience and I have a question for those couponing veterans here. I know there is the 20 coupon limit per day but my town has 4 HT’s and I was wondering If I went to two stores a day if my coupons will still double when I scan My Vic Card? Anyone know? THanks :)

      • LuvCpns

The 20 limit is tracked by your Vic card so going to multiple stores will not work.

        • Scfarmgirl9

I have two VIC cards….registered one for me and one for my husband.

          • LuvCpns

Your only supposed to have 1 VIC card per address/household. Not sure how you got around that rule.

    • Sonny

I just got my E-Vic email for this weekend. Does anyone know of any Quilted Northern coupons out anywhere? They will be on sale Saturday for $4.77.

      • LuvCpns

I don’t know if your aware but you can check to see what coupons are out there using Jenny’s database on this site. Just click on COUPON DATABASE box at the top of the page and then put in what your looking for. I checked and the only ones listed are a Target coupon which you can’t use at HT or one from a Kroger home mailer. I also checked my coupon stash and I don’t have any so I either used them already or they expired. I was also hoping I had one to make a good deal.

        • Bowslayer2

yes, you can use that coupon from a Kroger home mailer. i have used these on multiple occasions. It states Manufacturer coupon and is within HT coupon policy

          • Sonny

I don’t get the Kroger home mailer. How do you get it?

    • courtney

How do buy 2 get 3 deals work? Are they like B1G1 where you are paying half price on each item or are you really only buying two and getting three free?

      • LuvCpns

No they are not like B1G1. You have to buy 2 to get the 3 free.

      • Rbillingsly

With buy 2 get 3 free you can only use coupons for the 2 items you pay for. This is NOT the case with buy one get one free.  They charge you half price for each item.

        • ks

You can use five coupons according to corprate. I did this last night with the pepsi products I had two mountain dew coupons and I had two pepsi next and one diet mountain dew coupon, and had no problem. Plus a Food Lion coupon for 2.00 off any 12 pack of pepsi ( my store takes competitor coupons) so I got 5 12 packs for less than 1.00 ;) I love SD.

I just got home from my daily HT trip (4am-ish) and the strangest thing happened… my coupons didn’t double! Not even one of them. Luckily the sole night cashier is **amazing** and super knowledgeable so he just added up the coupons real quick and entered in that amount ($19.05) in as a coupon. It all worked out fine in the end, I’m just super confused!

I thought maybe it was the hour, but I was there at the same hour yesterday and everything worked fine. I hadn’t been to a different HT after midnight/before this trip either. We went through my coupons and none of them were DND or beginning with a 9 (I’m too well prepared so I knew that wasn’t the case), but I have no idea what happened. It’s just super strange.

I hope it’s not a glitch or something.
Good luck with your trips today folks!!

      • stacey

That happened to me yesturday because the cashier put in my vic number AFTER she swiped my coupons. This has happened to me two times now. i always try to remind them to enter it before we start ringing up. both times the manager went back and gave me credit with out a problem.

        • K M

I really appreciate your reply! I dont think that’s the case with my transaction… but then again I wasn’t paying attention at the very beginning because I had to move some carts out of the way so I could walk to the side (where the credit card machine is) and I didn’t catch if he had began to ring maybe one or two items before asking/receiving my card.

I certainly will pay closer attention next time. I usually walk to the lane with store card and credit card in hand and ready to go, but now I’ll make sure to and hand it over right away. Thank you for helping me understand what probably went wrong!

          • Dreamy5223

Store Coupons won’t start Doubling Until 7:00 am on Wednesday thats what the problem is.

            • couponmonster

same thing happened to me, nothing doubled. According to ya’lls timestamp, this shouldn’t have been a problem..3 days ago = thurs or friday and not wednesday

      • Rbillingsly

Maybe someone used your EVIC card that day and used your coupons.  Sometimes when the cashier enters the phone number they make mistakes and enter the wrong number.  IDK it happened to me once they entered the number and I did not get the coupons I had added on line and it was because they were off by one number.  ;o)

My sons live in NC and shop at Harris Teeter but are terrible shoppers. I’m in NY and thanks to this site i was able to put together 2 shopping lists with 20 coupons on each using your posts then mailed it out. I called the store where he shops to verify their coupon policy and he cant wait to see if he can really get $200 worth of groceries for $60! He works on the road so hopefully they are not out of stock of alot of the items when he goes saturday. Couldnt have made such a great list without this great sit. Thanks again!

      • stacey

        AW, your a good mom!!

        • Donnisonamy

Thanks us moms do what we can even 800 miles away haha. He called me from the parking lot after his shopping trips to tell me i calculated wrong – he was being a wiseass because they had some of the items priced lower in store than i had used so savings was eve. Greater! He was astonished at what he got for $50! He keeps asking “Are you sure this is legal” haha. Thanks again for such a great site.

I found some Smart Balance Spreadable Butter coupons for $.75 on one. It is on their website http://www.smartbalance dot com

    • Ginamity

coupons.com zip 19057 has a .75 coupon on nature’s own bread, which is on sale for 1.99, makes for a .49 loaf of bread!

also, my store allowed me to use 5 $1 coupons (common kindness) on the B2G3 Pepsi.  They doubled 2 of them, and took the other 3 at value, making the 12packs $1.15 each.

Anyone shop at the Harris Teeter in Hendersonville nc? I went for my first time at that location on wensday, plan on going back in the morning. On wensday they doubled everything! Are they always like that or did I just get lucky with my cashier?

      • tina

You just got lucky.  I was there on Wed also.  My cashier looked at all of my items, even before she tried to scan the coupons – to see if they matched.  They also stopped do not double – coupons from doubling.

      • Brooke

I shop there couple times a week. It just depends on the cashier. I would say about half check and half do. I know exactly which cashiers look at them and which ones don’t. I have found that MOST of the younger ones don’t really pay much attention. My favorites are a young teenage girl with dark brown hair, a teenage boy whose really skinny with brown hair. They usually work in the evenings.

      • Mywolfcubs3

Went back today and had the same cashier I had the first day. Love him!!! he didnt care and was so nice

      • Hokey Poke

They run specials. Harris Teeter soubles up to .99 everyday. They are doing Super doubles meaning they will double up to 1.98

    • Cheryl

The 28 oz Hanover Baked Beans are $1.25 p/can. With the $1/2, that make it .25 a can. That’s a great price for sides on the cookouts coming up on the 4th! Lots of different varieties too. :-)

I found an awesome deal on BBQ ribs! Perfect for the 4th of July!

Coupons.com has a LLoyd’s BBQ coupon $2/1 – it doubles at HT and makes the ribs $3.99! An entire rack of ribs for CHEAP-O! They are orignally $12.99, my store had them on sale for $7.99 – with the coupon, it makes them $3.99. :-) Happy shopping!

    • Sonny

There is good deal on Garnier Nutrisse Hair Color for anyone that colors their hair. They are on sale for $6.99, there is a $2 printable coupon and a $2 ZVR making it only $.99.

      • cheryl

There is also a good deal on Garnier Styling Products. I had a $1 evic q for styling products and there was a $1 coupon in today’s Red Plum which doubled to $2 off. The hair spray is $3.49 so got it for $.49.

They have been running a promotion for awhile now that you get a $20 credit loaded to your VIC card for every new prescription. I think the limit is 20 new prescriptions. It was supposed to end already but they extended it until sometime in early July I think. Call the pharmacy of customer service at your local store to get the exact details. Beware the $20 credit requires you to spend $20+ to be used and it takes the $20 credit off when your purchase is over $20 BEFORE coupons. I’ve done this 3 times and during SuperDoubles this week it took the $20 off then my coupons and I ended up with a $2.42 credit and I had to pick up another item or lose the $2.42.

        • Couponmomof5

LuvCpns, thanks for the info. My HT does not have a pharmacy but I called one that is about 30 minutes from and they said they are no longer running the promo. I was just wondering if the promo was in writing anywhere. I did not notice it on their website. Anyway, thanks!

          • LuvCpns

That’s interesting that they said they are no longer doing it maybe it varies by store since I just got 2 new prescriptions last week and got $40. I don’t know if it’s writing when they originally did it they were passing out cards with the details at the checkout.

    • Halley

I have a question about the b2g3 sales. I know you can use 5 coupons but can they be like coupons or do i need 3 print and 2 internet? Thanks

      • Ajayotte11

My HT will only take 2 Q’s on the B2G3 free, they do not take coupons on items you are already getting for free. Sorry :(

        • Brooke

I have had this same question for a LONG time so I finally decided to email corporate and ask. They just replied today and told me that you COULD use a coupon on each item as long as it does not break the 3 like coupon policy. They told me that if I ever had a problem with a cashier, just ask to speak to the manager and refer them to the email that was sent to me from headquarters. This week I used 5 coupons on the b2g3 pepsi deal (the 3 different prints from common kindess) and the 2 sierra mist facebook prints. I plan on going back today and getting 3 dr. peppers (pepsi product here in WNC) with the insert coupon and 2 more sierra mist from the facebook coupons. Last time, they didn’t even acknowledge I used 5 because the common kindess coupons would not scan so they manually put them in. Today, they may beep because I know all those coupons will automatically scan but I have the mail printed out to show them if they say anything!

Coupon policy states coupons can be used on free items. Usually the register beeps and a manager has to push it through.

Has anyone figured out if you can go late tuesday or before 7 am on Wed to get the new ad deals while super doubles is still going on?

      • guest

yes but i don’t think it counts as a new day so i would make sure you haven’t used your 20 coupon limit.  i shop between the hours of 1:30 am and 2:00 am and haven’t had a problem i just don’t use 20 coupons on tuesday.  hope that helps.  maybe jenny will start posting their sales ads early because they don’t put out the ads till 7 am.

Jenny does post the ads early. The HT ad for the new week is usually up on the site around 4:30pm Tuesday and usually earlier if it’s a Triple or SD week.

      • I dont think that the new deals start until 7 am. That is why on big weeks, there is a line at my Harris Teeter at 7!

        • Jessica

I think the items will ring up the new price, your coupons just won’t double until 7am….so i’ve heard

My cashier said coupons stop super doubling at midnight and return to regular doubles.

        • guest

It is official. The coupons stop doubling at midnight for certain. I have seen on here where people have said they have done it before…and I think corporate caught on and are going to flip the switch on doubles exactly at midnight from here on out.  My coupons didn’t double at 12:45  :(

Hello I need some input on something. Yesterday I went to Harris Teeter to get a few items and also to pick up my In-laws a few items I only had 7 in their order. When I went to check out I told the cashier that this was seperate orders and she called the manager over and he stated that I could not do 2 seperate orders and that my mother in law had to be there? I was a little confused because he was basically telling me that I couldn’t grocery shop for a Family member, I only had 7 items Not a grocery cart full. I wasn’t in there raking the shelves clean this was item that they needed and was asked to pick-up since I was going. Am I in the Wrong or Can you No longer Grocery shop for someone?
      Thanks

      • They wont do it during super doubles or triples because there are many people that would use it to do more than 20 coupons in a day. It is a pain. I also shop for my parents and I usually do one transaction, then put up my groceries and go back into the store to do the other one…. it is a pain!

      • Caramelangel1015

I think it depends on the store/cashier. My HT lets me do it. However, they have seen me with my mom and know she is also a loyal HT customer. It could also be my huge, pregnant belly and 1 yr old son with me that make them a little more lenient : )

Right Guard bar soap is $2.99 for a 2pk in Southwest Charlotte…I did not see 6pk bar’s for $2.74 as listed …has anyone found the 6pks $2.74? I know prices differ by location but this is a big difference …

      • Sunshine

It was a clearance item so they may not have anymore.

        • Guest

Yes, I found them about 2 weeks ago and snagged 2 oacks.  They were on closeout.  I posted it on the comments that day, too.

          Thanks

If you go to http://www.kingshawaiian.com  and sign up for their newsletter, you will receive within a few hours, a printable $2 off loaf coupon.  The loaf is $4.49 at Harris Teeter, so you will get it for only 49 cents!  You can only print off 1, (I tried for 2)  They were out of the loaf at my store, so I got the rolls which were $3.49 and the coupon still worked.
Also, if you have dogs you can go to http://www.facebook.com/snausages and ‘like’ them for a $1.50 off coupon of snausages dog treats.  They are $3.49 at HT and with the printable coupon you get them for only 49 cents!  You can hit the back arrow key and print off a second coupon.  I hope this helps!

I used a couple $1/2 Bumble Tuna from Recyclebank. Made the tuna .15 a can. Got 4 cans @ .15. Good deal! Thanks HT and Jenny!!

Thanks, Jenny (and SS community!) I made three separate trips this week and saved 66% ($155) just at Harris Teeter. I have loads of goodies to share with the food pantry and the animal shelter.

      •  No problem! Glad to hear you got enough to share!

Ok I have to admit my first experience with HT during triple coupons was kind of a bust, but i was/am still new to the couponing thing.  I do admit this time I’ve been much happier with my outcome!  Between two trips I’ve gotten $156 worth of items and spent a total of $44..I see some of you are doing better than that..hoping over time i’ll get better.  I was really disappointed our HT in Hickory converted to a Lowes, but thankfully i’m not that far from the Lincolnton HT..thinking of making a 3rd trip tomorrow to see if there are any final deals I can scoop up LOL  I keep wanting to get those Simply Potatoes..but they’ve been completely out both times i’ve went :(

      • Sunshine

You should ask for a rain check for simply potatoes. That way you can still get the sale price.

        • Cpeyton80

I would’ve never thought of that Sunshine, I didn’t know they did rain checks!  Thanks for the info! :)

          • Dreamy5223

I wouldn’t Bother going to Lincolnton I went this morning and they are out of Everything that you would probly use a coupon for, They told me that the warehouse was out and didn’t anticipate for such a big sale. Don’t make sense they been doing this for how long, some how All the Shelves will be Gloriously  Filled on Wednesday That’s how they always do it.

INDEED! But, it is not just your store. Mine is the same way.

            • Sunshine

My store is too. I am going back today and whatever they do not have I will be getting rain checks for.

    • Couponing124

Total of all my trips (4) was $367.87, I have spent $64.64. This includes chicken and milk and a few other meat products..

Does anyone know of a website where I can just get the coupon inserts? I hate having to buy the whole paper and just throwing it away.

      • DealDiva

Ebay has just inserts, or even just specific coupons.  It is almost always cheaper though just to buy the paper.

      • Wendeejs

Palmetto coupon clippers or coupons and things by dede

    • Just got back from Harris Teeter where I paid 33 cents for $96.06 in groceries! This included Kashi cereal,Ballpark hotdogs, Cabot cheese, Blue Bunny Ice Cream, French’s Fried Onions (clearance), Philly Cream Cheese (Raincheck), Smithfield Bacon (Raincheck), Aussie conditioner, Brawny Paper towels, Tictac bottles,  & 2 bags of reduced tomatoes (there was NOTHING wrong with them!), 2 pretzels rolls to keep my kids happy while shopping & 3 Twix bars that I had to buy because I ended up with a negative balance! I love Harris Teeter!!!!
