This is the start for your Harris Teeter triples deals. I will continue to add to this list for the next few days and would love your help too! If you find any deals or see any items that will still be on sale in the store leave a comment.shoppinglist1

Remember:
They will triple coupons 99¢ or less, up to 20 coupons per day.

Because there are lots of regional variations with coupons and coupon values, your coupons maybe a different value than what is listed. I only listed the best coupon for all of these deals, but that doesn’t mean your slightly less coupon still isn’t a great deal.

Soy Silk Milk coupon offer is expired :(

      • Tracie

There is a .75 coupon in today's paper.

    • Shirley

Quick question: I notice that on the Free Products section, a lot of them are overages. Do the overages 'spill over' or is the overage canceled out?
…Did that make sense? Let's try this again.
For example, an item is $1, with a 50cent coupon. Tripling would make it $1.50 off. What happens to the extra 50cents, does it go towards another item on your bill or it is just canceled?
      Thanks!

      • soma

hello.im working at MLK jr Ht. 2months ago. they fix it. so we wont give u overage.

        so. item cost you $1

you have $0.50 coupon.they will triple but they only take off $1

      • Heather

The overage just “cancels out”. You would only get $1.00 off, thus making it free!

      • Christa

At my HT you do not get overage. The register will only double or triple the coupon up to the amount that it is priced at. So on your above example you would get the item free but you would not get anything toward the rest of your bill. If the item was $1.10, during triples it would deduct the coupon amount, then double it, then take off another ten cents.

      • guest

There are only a few circumstances in which you can get overage. 1 – if the item(s) you're buying are on sale BOGO, if your coupon would give you overage for just purchasing 1 item, if you purchase more than 1 item the overage will apply itself to the next bogo item. So if for example you had product X which is normally $3.00 but is on sale BOGO, and you get 2 of product X for a total of $3.00, if you have a coupon for $0.75 off of product X it will triple all the way to take $2.25 off of your pair of bogo items. If you're just looking at the price of the individual item, you'd think the coupon would only triple to $1.50 (since $3.00 bogo is $1.50) but with a bogo sale the register will allow the overage to apply to the next like item.

2 – If your coupon is coded '992' in the second section of the barcode, that means it does not actually attach to the item that you are using the coupon for, so the register does not match it up to the item and therefore will allow the coupon to triple completely even if that gives overage. If you have product X and it is priced at $1.00, and if you use a $0.75 coupon on it that just happens to be coded '992', that coupon will triple completely to $2.25, giving you $1.25 in overage, b/c the register did not actually match up the coupon with the item and just tripled the coupon blindly. It's not often that we get a good '992' coupon that will actually result in overage, but it's a lot of fun when we do.

        • havcoupon

I just returned from HT and got Mahatma seasoned rice (only ever have the yellow saffron). Price was $1.50 for two and the coupon was $.75/2. It tripled it so I got the $.75 overage. :)

On the other hand though, had the green chili coupon it only tripled it to the cost of the item. Green chilis were $1.50 and coupon was $.55 so when it tripled I got .55 plus multiplied coupon of $.95.

    • Stacey

I don't usually shop Harris Teeter, but I definitely am this week! Do they accept competitors coupons?

      • pegglegg

i used to be able to use them but one store told me they would only accept $ off total from other stores …..example $10 off of a $50 purchase

        • Nicki

          Coupon policy:

          * We gladly accept local competitors’ circular or direct-mail coupons for MONEY OFF THE TOTAL ORDER; we do not take competitor’s coupons for money off specific items.
          * We do not accept any internet coupons from other retailers.

          • elieliza

Does anyone know who they consider a “competitor?” For example, I wonder if I can use the $5 off of $25 coupon from Rite Aid…..

            • Carrie_C

It's the manager's discretion on who is a competitor. Some are very liberal with their policy, some only consider traditional grocery stores a competitor. Check with your local HT. HTH

            • jessica

I really don't think the Rite Aid coupon would work. It says they do not take internet coupons, and the 5/25 Rite aid coupon is an internet Q. I asked my local HT (mt pleasant, sc) to be certain, and they said they could not take it.

            • Brittney

What if they take a the $5 from the newspaper.

            • Bridget

If you still have last week's Rite Aid circular, there was a $5/$25 coupon printed on the back of it, which does not expire until May 1st. Since it is not an internet coupon, some stores will accept it – depends on if your local Harris Teeter considers Rite Aid a competitor or not. Mine does, and I used this coupon a few times last week, but not all locations will take it. Never hurts to ask!

            • S_Carolina_Girl

My Harris Teeter in Charleston,SC told me they don't consider Rite Aid a competitor, so I was not able to use the $5 off $25 coupon.

            • 2Cor12_9

They do take Save A Lot there is a 5/20 out right now. It is a printable, though so, according to the entry above, they will not take that. We shall see!

            • Jessica

Harris Teeter will only take a coupon from a pharmacy store, if they have a pharmacy inside.. Like the Harris Teeter down town Charleston SC does not have a pharmacy, so they will not take cvs or riteaid. The Harris Teeter in West Ashley SC has a pharmacy, so they will them..

            • Brittney

My harris teeter at first took a walgreens and not they won't take any. I think its the cashier that I go to. he always works wednesday mornings.

            • Jennifer

My HT in Greensboro, NC took it.

          • Stacey

            Thank you!

        • carolyn090

please ask at the front desk , i was told by the manager at the fernandina beach ht that my total must be fifty dollars after coupons . hopefully, your total isnt that much. the most i have ever spent was about 12.00 anyway. i know 2.00 sounds alot better though!

          • carolyn090

also , go to ht website and find a store near you that offers online shopping look up your items there . the prices would be a good starting point, if you have a few items in mind that you really need to save extra dough on. saint simons island , ga has it .

    • Lisa

Question: On their IP Coupons policy it says 2 IPs per store Per day. The way it is worded makes it sound like on 2 like items. In other words i buy 2 quaker cereal and have 2 quaker cereal IPs, i can use any more Quaker IPs that day? Am i reading this correctly? Thank you

      • Carrie_C

It's two per like item. For example you can have 2 IP's for Cheerios, 2 for Dove, 2 for Shake n Bake, etc. They can also limit the number of insert coupons to 3. The latter varies widely from store to store; I've used 20 of the exact same coupon during one transaction in one trip, then gone to another store and they limit me to 3.

        • Lisa

Thank you so much, wanted to be clear since I am hitting 2 of them today!

    • Deb

Most of my coupons where used on the last triples

      • Dawn

        same here :(

    • Jenn

I was told at the Nashville Harris Teeter's that they are NOT tripling right now. Can anyone confirm this?

      • Kelly

Triple starts on April 28 through May 4.

      • Jennifer P

They usually always triple in the Nashville Harris Teeter's. However, last time I went to the Belle Meade Shopping Center location, they told me they could no longer double or triple coupons that said DND/DNT because they were changing over how they are doing coupons, so they can figure out what coupon you used if you try to return an item that you used a coupon with (That came from the manager). However, in the past I have been able to use all coupons no matter what but not the most recent triple coupons.

        • Rita

I go to the Brentwood HT and they have never doubled/tripled coupons that say not to, even if the UPC code begins with 5. They go through all the coupons before ringing anything, and then when they are done, the checker calls a manager over and they override the coupon. They have been doing this for years and don't ever miss any!! Wonder if any other Nashville area HT stores don't follow this??

          • Ms. A

Yep… I know what you mean!!! The Brentwood one is really picky about letting you use more than 3 coupons of them same type as well… even if they are a different variety of the product. I go to the one in Franklin, out on 96 West. They are sooooo much nicer and way easier to work with :)

    • Beth

My HT does not allow for doubles or triples if the coupon states “Do Not Double, Triple…” Check at the courtesy desk before you shop.

    • LM

The Yoplait Greek yogurt is a “do not double or triple” Q.

      • Mandy

LM…have you ever read the couponing 101 stuff posted on here? It gives you alot of info on how to read coupons. If the coupon bar code starts with a 5 then it will double or triple at most stores!!! If the cashier says it will not just ask them to plase try it anyways. A bar code starting with a 5 or 9 is a MF Q! The 5's will double or triple the 9's will NOT double or triple.

      • Megan10

        it will still double

      • Amy

LM my HT is also very strict and will not double or triple coupons that say DND on them.

    • LM

Also the printable Old El Paso Green Chilies is a “do not double or triple” Q. PLEASE, Southern Savers try not to post them if they won't double/triple…I'm wasting my ink and I don't have the money to do that. Thanks.

Even if they say that, a lot of stores will still double/triple them. The Bi-Lo & HT here will, unless the number on the bar code starts with a 9, I think it is. So its still worth a shot.

      • mary

LM, that's not necessarily true. My HT will double/triple them even if the coupon says not to. It really depends on your store.

      • ashley

Last time HT tripled my internet Green Chilies coupon with no problem!

      • susan

My HT triples the printable ones also even though they say do not.

      • Brittney

harris teeter will triple it as long as it has a 5 or 9 in front of it only thing they won't do it honor a free internet coupons so frustrating.

        • jess

The coupons that start with 9 they do not triple!

      • Megan10

Harris teeter will double as even if it says do not double….if the bar code starts with a 5 your good….that particular coupon is good….i used it at last triples!

        • Melissa

My Asheville HT will hold out any that say dnd or dnt specifically and key them in to keep them from doubling. I think each store may be different since others say that their stores do dbl ones that say not to. I would advise everyone to try out one or two on something that you would buy anyway with the coupon not doubling so you are not disappointed at the register.
I thank Jenny for all the great work she does! I am not complaining at all, I just know my store won't double ones that say dnd, so I just don't even bother printing or clipping them unless the face value of the coupon makes for a good enough deal for me.

      • Christa

I have found our store in Asheville NC to be very strict about coupons. They will not scan the coupons that say “Do not double or triple”, instead they call a manager over to manually enter them. I guess that if they were to scan one that starts with a 5 it would automatically double so they manually enter it to prevent that from happening.

      • esynan

Did you seriously just post that? Wow. I would hope t hat you could be thankful instead of being critical. Jenny does a lot for us all, surely she's saving you a lot more money than how much you're “wasting” in ink for coupons you won't use.

        • chill out

What are you all… a pack of Hyenas??? LM was stating her opinion. She is allowed to have an opinion. There are so many replies to what she said.. wow. What are you a bunch of Democrats?? If ppl disagree with how you feel then you blast them? She may have very low funds and that was a wasted coupon for her. NONE of the HTs in my area will double or triples DND coupons. So that would be a waste for me too. Jenny does get a few pennies per print.. each time we print a coupon we can use or not. Lets all be nice here…. Southerners are a kind bunch… not sure where all these nasty people come from who comment on here. I am sure Jenny was not offended by LM. Its business.

          • coupongal

I completely disagree. It is not business. Jenny does not charge for use of her website, as some sites do. Whetever she makes from printed coupons does not mean that we can except someone to do all of our work for her. Yes, it was a wasted coupon. But how many hours of research does Jenny save us all from doing on our own every week? Most of the printed coupons state DND, maybe you should not print IP coupons at all.
            We should be thankful.

            • esynan

Excellent points made. I certainly agree.

            • alisa

              A-MEN

          • gracemercy

I totally agree with chill out. Where's the grace and mercy here people? Let's not crucify one person for voicing an opinion. You guys are great to come to Jenny's defense so quickly, however I don't think she really needs it. Don't think LM meant Jenny any harm, but was just looking for a solution to the problem that she faced. My sister and I laugh (but are filled with pity for the poster) when we see someone like LM make a post, because we know that you guys are about to take them down. How defensive you Jenny – ites become if one person says anything that could be taken as a negative comment. It's totally perception. Poor LM probably felt terrible when you guys started pelting her with negative comments. Words DO HURT people ….Take it easy and let's remember the golden rule!

My HT will not double or triple the DND coupons and do manually enter them in, rather than blindly scanning them. I know this in advance and weed those out of Jenny's list. I seriously doubt that anyone is unappreciative of Jenny or the site. Perhaps LM was suggesting that there may be a way to let us know if they say DND in her list.

We totally appreciate Jenny's site, however we do realize that it is a business and there are advertising dollars here. I commend Jenny for taking advantage of those dollars and helping her family.

            • Cathy

I agree. LM was simply making a suggestion. Other sites to put DND next to printable coupons. People should not jump all over someone because they voice an opinion or a suggestion. Poor LM probably felt like everyone here is in a darn CULT! She meant NO harm to Jenny for goodness sake people! Chill Out was right too – lets all back off.

      • Heather

Don't be so hard on LM. I understand where she is coming from, it is a little frustrating that you can't see the printables before they print to know whether it says it or not. Maybe she could have said it differently. Also, one HT in Greenville NC will ALWAYS pull out the DO NOT DOUBLE, and the other one does not, so it is YMMV. It just depends on the cashier, I have found.

        • Kim

I agree; don't pass judgement on the tone because sometimes it can be misunderstood on these posts. Ink is expensive and I just got a new printer that seems to eat ink up and we are going through a lot of it with these coupons! I even checked Walgreens and they do not refill my cartridge. :((

      • simply_sawyer

I u/s your frustration, my local HT won't triple/double REGARDLESS of the coupon barcode starting with a 5 or 9. It really also does depend on the cashier you get. I still print coupons that I can use even if it says to not double etc b/c somewhere I may need it and it will still be less expensive than without the coupon, also who knows maybe I won't get a PIA cashier and they will double or triple it :)

      • amylaurenscott

Anytime I print a coupon or get one and don't want it I just put it on the break room table at work. Sure it's ink but someone might want it… so that's a suggestion.

      • cield

Instead of complaining here, why don't you zip off an email to OEP and complain to them about their coupon – after all they choose how to market their product. If you don't like the coupons they make available, let them know! :)

        Power to the couponers! ;o)

      • bunchofpants

My local HT has always doubled/tripled the DND coupons, so I'm very thankful that Jenny posts them! Thanks for all you do, Jenny!

        • Kim

My HT in NC will not double or triple those that are marked.

          • BeverlyB

I'm in Charlotte, NC, and if the bar code starts with a “5” my HT will triple. It's up to each individual store whether they will triple those coupons.

      • JML

HT still doubles and triples even if the coupon says do not. at least in our area. worth a shot to try in yours too.

      • stucker78

Kroger doubled mine even though they said 'do not double or triple”

      • Katy

All you have to do is go to your printer properties, click on printing preferences and select “preview before printing.” This will bring up a window with the page you are printing before it prints. That way you will know what is going to print and can decide if you really want to print it or not.

Jenny, I love you site! I appreciate all you do for us!

      • guest

this is the “Best coupon site” Thanks so much!

      • uncmomx2

The Q automatically doubles or triples if the number begins with a “5”. The cash register is set according to the first number on the coupon. If it is a “9” it doesn't automatically double or triple.

      • hinkled1980

My Harris Teeter doubles and triples the coupons that say “Do Not Double or Triple”.

      • Lisa

Umm about 90% of coupons say do not double or triple but the stores still double or triple them. If you want to complain about helpful people taking THER TIME to post coupons to help you out you're wasting alot more than printer ink….

      • Sheri

I also cannot believe you posted that comment regarding the Green Chilies coupon. This woman is doing an amazing thing to help all of us save money. I know it can be costly to print all the coupons but wow you should not have posted that!!!

      • Wendy

Try being grateful and thankful that we have such a great list.

As someone who used to worry about ink, I recommend buying an inexpensive laser printer and print on the back of used paper. I have a brother 7340(($99+tax)and it has paid for itself in less than a month. I kick myself for not buying it sooner.

Thanks Jenny for all your hard work, You're the greatest!

      • jess

You should find a cheap laser printer. Got mine on sale at a staples sale for about $50. Best investment I've ever made. One toner cartridge lasts forever (thousands of pages, and you can rig it to last longer than it's supposed to), so I don't feel bad able printing something that I find out I can't use….and is about the same price as ink. Also they are a lot faster than inkjet.

    • Jennifer S.

Does anyone know if the Jello listed is the refrigerated kind or the box kind. I have a coupon for the refrigerated.

      • Jennifer S.

        Its the boxes dang it

    • mary

      How does this one work:

      Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies $3.39
-.60/1 Pepperidge Farm Cookies SS 2/21 (exp 4/30) (makes it 20¢)

Wouldn't it be $1.59 for the Milano cookies? My son loves these things… so I'd definitely stock up at .20, but I don't think the math is correct.

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

Sorry I went through and checked that all the coupons were valid and then checked prices… forgot to go back and fix the math on this one!

        • Charleston_girl

Actually, I checked Express Lane and they will be on sale for $2.54 So, with the Q, they'll be $0.64 cents each. Not bad!

Hello, I'm sorry but the link for the Nature’s Own Thin Bagels prntable coupon is not working for me. What zip code did you use? Thanks for all you do!

    • Jennifer S.

I have a coupon for .75 off one weight watchers frozen novelty. If you use it on the ice cream cups that are 2.99 you get them for .74 cents after that coupon. I think it came from the April Allyou.

    • Anonymous

      Swanson Stock – $0.74

      $2.99.
      -$0.75 printable at Coupons.com (Zip 75204), triples to $2.25
      Total OOP = $0.74.

    • Jennifer S.

dixie crystals extra fine sugar 32 oz bag is 1.89 regular price. I have a .50 cents off coupon that would make .39 cents.

    • Jennifer S.

texas toast tortilla strips will be free after .75 cent off coupon in the april allyou

    • Jennifer S.

crest regular paste 2.99 but after .75 cent off coupon from a pg insert it would be .74 cents

    • Deb

Hello, I tried to print the .75 cent coupon for Nature’s Own Thin Bagels but it did not come up. Has anyone been able to print it and if so what zip code are you using. I really want this one.

    • Tracie

Went to my local doctors office for a physical last week and they had .75 cent coupons on any one fiber one cereal… Would make for some really cheap and healthy cereal, (possibly free if its on sale). They had alot of the coupons and told me to take as many as I would like. So if your out at your doctor's office keep a look out for different coupons. They had a tearpad on the ones that I got with all of the health brochures on the wall.

    • Megan10

I can't find the nature's own thin bagels? Anyone have a zip code that works for this?

      • cherylzie

        27407

    • Deb

Hey did anyone have any luck printing the coupon for Nature’s Own Thin Bagels. I trie but it did not show up… if you did what zip code did you use. I really want this coupon!

      • cherylzie

        Worked for me ;) I used 27407

        • Deb

All the prints must be used still no luck… thanks though.

    • bridget91

Those of you that has Lowes Foods near you, they are doing triples until Tuesday

      • Brittney

so exciting 7 days of triples. Too bad I don't have enough coupons for all 7 days

      • vgwagoner

Lowes Foods in Burlington, NC is NOT tripling :(

    • Chrissy

If it is triple coupon. Do you have to print off three or they just triple the one you have?

      • simply_sawyer

        They just triple the one.

    • 1tougholdbroad

Is Harris Teeter in Nashville TN having triples?

      • curtisa

usually when Jenny post they are having triples, they always are. So get prepared

    • Sarah

I'm going to look at Daisy sour cream, with a .50/1 coupon from (I think?) SS 3/28. I don't know the starting price, but it should be a good deal at .50×3=1.50 off for 16 oz or more.

    • appstate3

Can you get HT to validate a coupon if they're out of something so that it will triple later? I heard that somewhere.

      • Christa

I asked that question at my store and they said no. I went to App!

      • vgwagoner

They will only write rainchecks for sale prices, but unfortunately not triple coupons.

They do not sell the Hershey Bliss candy bars.
I did get the Swanson Stock & Quaker for the prices above.

Seems there is a lot of worry about the coupons that say do not double. Who's doubling. They are tripling. They didn't say anything about tripling!

I didn't notice it on the list, but there was a $.75 off any Folgers product in one of the inserts on Sunday. Could make for some cheap coffee refill bricks.

    • ziggy34434

Is anyone having trouble printing the Shake & Bake? I click it, it says printing, and then says Thank You!… but no coupon! All of the others printed no problem. (except that I can't find the Nature's Own Q) anyways I really want the Shake & Bake!

      • Kristen

I didn't have any trouble printing mine, but the last time I had the same thing happened to me, I e-mailed the site, and the site said that “the coupon has met its printing limit”. But keep trying because sometimes they will allow it to print more.

    • Melissa

Anyone do the Dannon Yogurt catalina deal? I had 18 of the required 20 points and shopped today – bought the 12 ct Danimals for $3.99 – pushed it over so then it was showing 1.99 towards next 20 points, but no electronic coupon printed? Manager is going to call in the AM for me b/c it was after 5PM, but wondered if anyone else has had trouble with it?
Anyway, got a notice on bottom of my reciept that I have a $5 off next $5 purchase or more – not sure what from, as the Dannon was supposed to be $3. Hmmmm, will be handy during triples I suppose. :o)

      • Kris

It doesn't print a coupon for those, they save them on your VIC card. Next time you use your VIC card on a purchase of $5 or more it will take off the $5 automatically. Hubby made me miscalculate 2 weeks ago to use our $20 off $50 Q because he didn't tell me something he ran out for pushed us over our 40 points of fresh foods. Had to send him running for a 2 liter soda that was on sale.

      • noa57

Does your HT give you points for bringing in your own bags? Our does, and every 100 bags you get the $5 off your next purchase of $5 or more. You get 1 point for every bag they use, not just how many you bring ;)

    • Kim

Thank YOU for all the time and energy you put into these match ups!!!

    • Ana Maria S.

I really wish my Harris Teeter in Asheville would allow the Do not double or triple coupons like so many other stores seem to…I can't help but feel a little jealous of all you fellow southern savers that have a store like that in your area. Oh well, thanks Jenny for all the work that you do and for compiling this awesome shopping list; can't wait to go get some great deals tomorrow!

      • Cindyrella2

Maybe it'd be worth your trip to go to the Hendersonville one. They double or triple it as long as it scans and begins with a 5. If for some reason they have to key it in, they will not double or triple them if they say not to. Beautiful new store, too!

        • Ally

I went to the Hendersonville store yesterday and they would not allow me to use the Do not double and triple coupons for anything other than face value of the coupon. The cashier went through my stack of coupons and pulled them out. I had a very frustrating experience there yesterday over numerous items! The store is beautiful and very well stocked! I live between the Asheville and Hendersonville stores and go to both and I like the Hendersonville one better.

    • guest

I have a 75 cent coupon for Poise pads. Don't remember where I got it.

    • brvsfan13

with printable coupons (like the bagel thins), are you typically only allowed to use 1/transaction or can i print off 4 coupons and use them on 4 items?

      • http://teenstotsandeverythinginbetween.blogspot.com/ Sheila

Only allowed 2 same item printable coupons per day

    • LM

I'm sorry that I came across as unappreciative and mean, I was just so frustrated. I know that Southern Savers works hard and I do appreciate that very much. I didn't mean for my comment to sound unthankful…I just wanted to give a heads up if it was something she could fix. I guess was just too short with my comment and didn't explain any of that. Anyway, thank you to the people who were understanding and took up for me! Hope this clears things up…Southern Savers is my favorite site and I come here daily!

      • Rita

I don't think you came across as mean. I understand your dilemna as I dont want to print DND coupons either and there seem to be more and more of them lately.
Maybe one way to fix this would be to put the code DND5 by coupons that Jenny posts that say do not double and if the UPC begins with a 5. That way everyone would know and would print based on their local stores way of doing business.
Thanks for all you do Jenny

      • Anonymous

Keep your eye out for ink deals that Jenny posts here, too. She recently posted about a deal that 123inkjets.com was having, and when I purchased my ink through ebates at 123inkjets.com, I ended up getting 12 cartridges for $.16 each after all of my rebates.

        • LM

Wow!!! That is a great deal! I will be on the watch for a deal like that! thanks.

    • couponmom88

Question for everyone? I live in NC and we got a $5 off $25 purchase from Rite Aid printed in the sales paper….can this be used at HT? I know they take coupons from Walgreens and Food Lion!!!

    • brendak27

lowes in charlotte area are tripling coupons today .

    • http://www.thecouponchallenge.com/2010/04/harris-teeter-triples-regular-priced.html Dana @ The Coupon Challenge

I linked you to the bottom of my list. you have deals listed for coupons that I didn't receive. Thanks for the list!

    • tahsha

Does anyone know much about how they are with returns? There is no way I can get there in the morning like I normally would. I do however have to go tonight to take advantage of the General Mills instant savings deal (I have a rain check from a previous sale that makes for some free cereal!) I'm considering buying what I'm wanting to use coupons on tomorrow tonight (at regular price with no qs) and then tomorrow evening when I go in, just take everything back and get a full refund and then buy it all back with my coupons. We only have 1 HT in town, and I know that there will be NONE of the good deals left by the time I could get there tomorrow night. I'm sure that they'll frown on this since they won't let me even do 2 transactions with the same card back to back to split up b1g1s, but can they really refuse if I have my receipt?

    • tofrish

I went to Harris Teeter yesterday – not realizing that the triples hadn't started – but they wouldn't even double the no yolks coupons. I asked if they would triple and they said no. It says not to double on the coupon. FYI!

    • tofrish

The harris teeter I went to will not double/triple the no yolks coupon. FYI! The coupons says not to.

I'm on vacation and have a HT here, and not in my home town. I was looking forward to all the triples! I'll still hit it, but was bummed about the no yolks. Nice to have in the pantry!

    • Harris Teeter

I work at HT and it is really hard to deal with the triple coupons but I love them just as much as you guys do! So I thought it might help if I posted the coupon policy! It is easier if you give the coupons to the cashiers in advance so they can go through them and help you with them! Hope this helps!!

OK, I have a question. My HT said they can only accept 3 “like” coupons for each transaction – ones that would and would not double. However according to the wording above, it seems that that should only apply to the coupons that would double a more than 3 like coupons would just be face value. In the section on basic coupon policy, this is not stated, only in the section of “doubling”. Anyone want to share their “milage” on this policy?

      • July80

I have a question. Since they do not take free coupons from internet, I can't use b1g1 printed coupons ? Did you mean that free product is absolutely free without any buying?

        • Jennifer

I tried to use the Tropicana B1G1 free coupon I printed off their website a few weeks ago and HT wouldn't take it… So I used it at Food Lion and it was actually cheaper there anyway.

that .75/1 V8 Fusion coupon- didn't that already expire? i believe it expired on the 4/25

    • sheilafay

someone please help. I live right outside of Nashville in a small town of Ashland City, I always get the coupons for the free or $1 off Marcal small steps products but I can not find them and it is driving me nuts. I had 10 coupons at one time between family and friends giving me coupons, I have checked HT, Kroger (they have double packs of papertowels), Publix and Target, Does ANYONE living close by know where I can find them? My sanity is in your hands

      • Hesperides

I have never found them – I'm in Nashville. We get coupons all the time in the paper, but have never seen them! I wonder if there's something about where to find them on their website?

      • susansaver

There's a product finder on their website but when I searched for Nashville I was unable to find a store that carried the single rolls you can get for free. I just looked it up again and apparently Kroger is carrying the brand but again, I haven't seen the single rolls there. It might be worth a shot to stop by your Kroger and check though.

      • Becky

I've only ever found that brand at my Giant in Maryland. Sorry!

      • Melanie

I find them at Bi-Lo. Not sure if you have one around there

      • krks

Shelilafay, I went to the Marcal website. They have a feature to find a particular item in your area. The only place close to me is the Kmart on Nolensville Rd in Nashville. Hope this helps! :)

        • travelinamy

I've had the same question and get so frustrated checking Kroger stores for the Single Rolls. Have you actually bought them at the Kmart on Nolensville Rd? I don't wanna go out of my way to get there if they don't have them…thanks!

          • kim

No, I did not drive there. It didn't justify my two free single roll coupons.

    • tahsha

Has anyone tried to use the Save-a-Lot $5/25 coupon at HT? I am in Fayetteville, NC.

      • Nikki

I recieved a $5 off $25 for Save a lot at Harris Teeter and they took it with no problem. It was a coupon that I recieved in the mail. Dollar off coupons must be in printed form. They will not accept internet coupons for money off in my experience.

    • AD

Just got back from HT…very disappointing trip. Found most things didn't ring up as the posted price. I spent about $15 when I expected to spend $6.

      • Melissa

Do you mean they did not ring as the price that Jenny listed on here, or did not ring as the price posted at the store on the shelf? I always check the price on the shelf to what Jenny posts here, as she is in SC and I am in NC, so obviously there will be some differences. She advises that on here I believe b/c prices vary from store to store (even 2 stores in my area will have different prices from each other on some things tha are not on sale).
If however you meant rang different than he shelf or ad, you should have them correct it. Also, if you used coupons that say Do Not Double, I would ask at customer service if they will scan them or key them in. My Asheville store keys them in, so I know not to use them and expect them to double or triple. I just save them for Bi-Lo or whne the price is good enoug with just the face value of the coupon.

        • AD

They didn't ring as posted here. I knew they might be a little different (some items were $2.55 instead of $2.35) but some were very different like $4.49 instead of $2.99 or so. Still a great trip…can't complain about the savings I get using the site.

          • Melissa

AD – went for my 2nd trip at another HT that I went to Wed. Found the same to be true. Funny how stores within 15 miles of each other can be so different in prices! I had some coupons that expired today that b/c of the higher shelf price I ended up not wanting b/c it was not a good enough price for me. Played coupon fairy, maybe someone can use them. I did find a few things that she did not list b/c I had a higher value coupon from my paper. Bertolli pasta sauce with my coupon ended up being .64 a jar! Going back for more later in the week (too much ball going on this weekend with my kiddos to make a trip before Monday or Tues) Glad you saved as well as you did! I just was not sure what you meant, I have caught things ringing up different than the shelf, not often, and usually its b/csomeone put the item on the wrong slot. :o)

    • Hesperides

Just got back from my HT trip…I never go there because the closest one is tiny and never stocked properly. I'm in Nashville and usually go to the one on 21st. I was there at 9am and about 40% of the things on my “free” list were gone. And there were other things they didn't even carry. I was so excited when I got there, but quickly was disappointed :( Spent $4.88, saved $18.74. Anyone else in the area have another location they think is better?

      • susansaver

The store down West End across from Publix has a much better selection. But be warned as they are very picky about the coupons. They will go through your stack and will take out any that say Do Not Double and won't triple them. I stopped at the one of 21st this morning around 10am and had good luck with my items with the exception of a few things they didn't carry (Cliff Mojo Bar, Bliss Chocolate).

      • JL

I live in Nshville as well and had the same problem as you. I did ask a stock person about the land om lakes butter and he went and got some out of the back for me . There is a newer one in Bell Mede but I am not sure where. I have not been there but I was told it was bigger. Check out the web site. I don't like I do not like Harris Tetter normally but I spent $8.00 on about $50.00 worth of product. I was going to go Kroger to lunch meat I needed untill i heard about the tripples so it is like I spent the $8.00 i would have spent plus got a lot of extras so it was worth it.

      • TN girl

There is 1 HT in Brentwood, great store..and another one, which is new in Franklin on Hwy 96…also a great store. Went yesterday and saved $59, spent $11…going back today!!

        • Rita

I live in Brentwood but am not crazy about the Brentwood HT. Very strict with coupons and not very friendly. Where is the new store on 96? Do they double coupons that say do not double? Is it a large store?

          • travelinamy

OMG…I frequest the Brentwood store and it is anything BUT friendly. I HATE walking through the doors, because everytime I go, the “rules” change. So frustrating, almost everytime i leave something at the checkout or end up returning it before i leave the store. I hate HT (by hate, i'm being nice) I went to the one on 21st and I was treated super nice and thought for a moment I was at Publix! I went back to HT tonight in Bwood for a few things and pulled out all my DND (jimmy dean and ball park) and then gave my friend a huge hassle on the green giant steamers. If it is B1G1, we now know you can only use 1 coupon(stupid, but I have accepted it and only by one of the b1g1 to use the one coupon) but NOW if it is B1G1, and the coupon says $1/2, you have to buy 3 items, not 2…becaus the “1” item is free, however, it rings at half price. All of my friends hate HT and the word of mouth is spreading SOOOO fast…I absolutely hate shopping there, and I only go in to get the deals. My total would have been about $10, but since I couldn't use 6 of my coupons, i ended up paying $3…guess they didn't want me to buy their items, huh? I'm going to Publix tomorrow to regain my sanity.

    • Susan

@ Melissa — they are wrong — according to their policy, they will double/ triple up to 3 identical coupons. Any after that will be accepted at face value. However, I'm sure they have the right to limit it to some degree . . . like not letting you use 20 identical ones or something.

      • Lambski1

I shop at the HT in Concord NC at Popular Tent and G W Liles Parkway, I have never had a issue with them not doubling or tripling coupons as long as it under 20, went at 3:30 and they were already out of some items and the Prices for items didn't match, Franks Sweet Chili and Heinz Worcestershire were gone. McCormicks price didn't match the web neither did Mahatma Rice Mixes (is this normal). I saved 18.66 and spent 1.16 and bought a few items there were not free and the carry over saved me ALOT

    • Melissa

I just got back from my HT in Apex about an hour ago. They were still well stocked on most of the products. Thanks so much for your help! They also double/triple coupons that say DND or DNT on them. This was the first time I haven't gotten totally exasperated with a HT being out of stock on the first day of triples!

    • Megan10

Does harris teeter carry skinny water or the hershey's bliss candy bar? Had trouble finding these items?

    • Megan10

With the $5 off $25 coupon from rite aid….will harris teeter accept that coupon first before all your other coupons?

      • Becky

They will not accept a competitor coupon it if it is printed from the internet. That's in their written coupon policy. If you clipped it from a Rite Aid ad, then it's at there discretion as to whether they consider Rite Aid to be one of their competitors. I have heard of some HTs accepting it, but mine would not.

    • Kelly

I use coupons all the time that say do not double or triple…seems like the computer at bilo and HT doesnt know the difference… so dont be a jerk to Jenny :)

    • Teena

hamburger helper is 10/$10 and .75 off three makes it .25

    • Lambski1

I Shop the HT @ G W Liles and Popular Tent in Concord, NC. Never had a issue with any coupon and they do carry over, I saved 18.66 and spent 1.16. I Found the Mahatma Rice Mixes and the McCormick prices did not match the site here way over what it showed. Heinz Worcestershire and Franks Sweet Chili sauce were already gone at 3:30 today

      • Lena

Yes. . . everytime I make my list from the web it never matches up with on-line prices. Even when there are no triples or super doubles there's always a discrepancy.

    • http://www.savinginthecarolinas.blogspot.com Mandy

Just wanted to share my HT trip from tonight:

Me and my mother-in-law went so I we had 2 VIC Cards but here are the total of the 2:

      $161.40 Total
      $1.85 Out of Pocket!!

We had $5 off $25 purchase (from Rite Aid 4/18 sales papers)
and we each had a $3 RR (from Walgreens)

I was shocked that they used both the $5 off and the $3 RR at the same time (and they did NOT even count as 1 of my 20 coupons)

    • shannon91

Some of the Betty Crocker Warm Delights have 75¢ coupons inside. Also I noticed on the bottom of HT receipt today that it has 3 deals.
One for a FREE loaf of Natures Own Pride Oven Classic's Bread.
      Dunkin Turbo Coffee for $3.99.
HT 12 pack double roll toilet paper for $3.99.
All offers good thru 5/4/10 & limit 1 per household.
      Just present your Vic card.
      Good luck!

What zipcode is this coupon found under? .75/1 Nature’s Own Bagels

    • Guest

Yes she is allowed to have an opinion, but she can state it nicely. Same goes for you. Criticizing others for being negative and then you hop right up on your little soap box. LM could've at least said something like, “Thanks for all you do Jenny, you save me hundreds of dollars a year. I was wondering if it would be possible to mark the coupons that have DND on them, my Harris Teeter wont triple those”. BUT, she showed zero gratitude…' hey jenny, you do tons of work for me already, can you do this work for me too'.

    • Cathy

GUEST, how do you know how she was stating it? LM said Please and Thanks. You don't know her tone when she wrote it. I didn't take it was mean or rude. Get off your soapbox and like gracemercy said.. learn the golden rule.

    • Michaela Kennedy

      Sensitive much?

    • Latonia J

I am new here and checking out the comment. This is obviously not a friendly site for us newbies. There must be 50 negative comments to LM. As for esynan, wow! Could have have taken her comment any more personally?? The term EMO came to mind.. I am curious if her comment had you in tears?! Wow, go take a prozac and calm down. I'll do my coupon matchup elsewhere – I am too afraid to ask a question or make a comment without being attacked here.

    • Guest

Please Cathy, are you saying you disagree with me? You think she had every right to ask Jenny to do extra work without a small thank you? You think it was right of her to not show any gratitude? Thanks. You cant get upset w/me b/c I said please and thanks.

    • Cathy

I am not upset with you. I don't know you. You obviously like to argue, but I don't. You aren't worth my time. And stop posting as Guest when we all know you are esynan. Thanks. Oh and get a life.

    • esynan

Please don't point fingers at me. So I made one comment that I probably shouldn't have made. I'm sorry. I altered/removed my post because things had gotten out of hand, i couldn't totally remove it so it automatically changed that original one to guest, so yes I'll claim that one. The rest, no, I definitely did not say those things.

    • shannon

    • LM

Jenny, I am so sorry that my post started this wild fire of posts. Certainly I am grateful to the ones who have come to my defense…thank you so much! Without your comments I would have just “curled up into a ball”. Ha! Ha! But I can't understand why this has continued on. Let's all just focus on something else and let this squabble die out…for Jenny's sake. Once again I am truly sorry to you Jenny. Thanks everyone.

    • DJ

Gosh, that really disappoints me but I understand why you wouldn't continue to use this site after reading all the ridiculous comments on this thread. I hope you continue to explore the site anyways and give it a second chance.

Couponers, here's some great advice for the future: Don't comment, email, or respond when you are angry or upset. You will not be nearly as objective as you should be and most of the time you will make the situation worse. Next time take a few minutes to compose yourself before you respond. Look what happens when you don't. You ruined a great opportunity to teach the art of couponing to someone and made a new user second guess her use of an otherwise WONDERFUL and FRIENDLY site.

Thank you Jenny for your hard work!

    • wormswife

Used my B1G1 Ziplock coupon and inside was a $.75 coupon for HN Cheerio's! If you bought some, open them before triples week is over!

    • Penny

Are there any freebies from the 5/2 coupons that we can use Monday and Tuesday only?

      • kim

I used the Betty Crocker Warm Delights–almost a freebie, Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls–also almost a freebie, Birds Eye frozen–free if you get the ones on sale, I don't have my receipt or I would check for more.

        • Penny

Thanks! I noticed the betty crocker one but not the veggies!

    • kdurkin

I dont know if someone can help me, I dont quite understand how to use this sight. I am looking at the above items and I am seeing a lot I am interested in, but unless they have a printable coupon next to the item, how do I get the coupon for that item? The triple deals end today at HT so I want to take advantage

      • esynan

This response is coming too late to help you for these triples, but in general… heres an example…

-.75/1 OxiClean stick or spray SS 4/25 or printable
This coupon can be found in the SS (Smartsource insert) from April 25. So, SS = Smartsource, PG = Proctor & Gamble, and RP = Red Plum. So she uses the code to tell you which insert it was in and which date. I typically keep all of the inserts so that if something that I wouldn't normally buy will be free for triples, I can always go back and cut it out if I want to. Hope that helps!

      • esynan

One more thing… sometimes certain areas just don't get every coupon listed. It can be frustrating, but if you go to look for one thats listed and you didn't get it, don't get discouraged, look for the next one on the list!
