Wow, that is still a great deal!  One week Lowe’s Foods had super doubles and HT the following week.  I was so excited that I went to Lowe’s and bought all my goodies, then went straight over to HT and purchased those.  At the checkout, I realized it didn’t start until the next week.  I put half of my stuff back!  I was embarrassed, but not so much as to return the stuff to save my money!  LOL

        • Jerzeeprincess1

I have so done that before, they are so nice at Harris Teeter though!!  =)

I registered for coupons from the Common Kindness website, but I can’t print coupons from the first gallery. There is no “print” button anywhere? Is anyone else having trouble?

      • Dreamy5223

Look at the very bottom of your screen in the middle and it should be a yellow bar (i think yellow) it says Print coupons, click on that. Make sure you do not have pop-up blocker on. Hope this helps

        • Guest

You also have to choose a charity before it will allow you to print.

      • Emma

I had the same problem!.  Did you get it to work?

      • Twellwoman

It’s there, it just doesn’t look like other coupon sites.  It’s a yellow/beige bar that runs the whole length of the bottom of the page.  Make sure you have filled out your profile & picked your charities first so it can give them credit. :-)

    • Lizz P.

Hey! I’m new to the NC area and I wasn’t sure if Harris Teeter are sticklers for the 20 coupon limit per day. I know in NY Pathmark had a limit of 20 coupons per customer, but if you went to another store, or went once in the morning and once in the evening, there were no problems.  Is this the same for Harris Teeter?

      • beingjennifer

HT tracks you thru your VIC card and you can only use 20 coupons per card per day.

        • the 20 limit is NOT tracked thru ur card, the polocy is 20 per day, u can do many trips as u want as i have seen and heard of this being done,  but the zvr’s are only 1 time uses.

          • guest

harris teeter coupon policy states only 20 coupons will be tripled or doubled per day.  you must have a vic card to double or triple so yes it is liked to your card.

          • Guest

YES it is tracked by your card.  HT implemented that system well over a year ago.  Unless your particular HT is not up to date with the rest of the corporate system.

          • Nicole

Absolutely, positively tracked through the VIC card.  I know someone who has an apartment attached to another person’s house.  The person in the apartment went to HT one day and none of her coupons doubled.  Long story short, the person in the house had already been there and used 20 coupons.  Corporate said it does not matter that the house and apartment are separate households.  One VIC per address and therefore, 20 coupons double per address per day period.

      • Guest

you can use more than 20 coupons, however, only 20 will double/triple

    • Lilublu77

Alright folks..I’m going in.  Harris Teeter won’t know what hit ’em. (stretching) Thanks Jenny! Catch you on the flip side!

Went this morning at 7am. Spent $9.19 and saved $53.52. That’s an 85% savings! The manager also said they had printed a copy of the Southern Savers list for the sale so hopefully most everything will continue to be stocked for the rest of the week. Happy shopping!

    • Drfoste3

JENNY, thank you so much for all that you do!  Went this morning at 7am and got $85 dollars worth of groceries for $15!  Couldn’t be a SAHM without Southern Savers!

Hello!  Good morning for me, and I hope for everyone else!  Here’s what I did, I was with my mom, so we had two transactions.  I will post hte 2nd transaction in my next comment  Here’s what we got:

      Transaction 1:
      2 Jello Tempations @ 2/$5 – .90q -.90q = .40 MM
2 Intl Delight Creamers (the choc caramel and almond joy are on clearance for $1.19 each) – 2 .55q = .92 MM
      1 Dole Frozen Blueberries @ $2 – .75q (all you) = .25 MM
      1 Maries Yogurt Dressing 3.99 – .75q = 1.74 (and $1 Saving Star makes it .74)
      2 Colgate Total Advanced @ 2/$5 – .75q – .75q = .50
      1 Welchs Essentials Juice 3.29 – .75q = 1.04
      1 Carpet Fresh 1.65 w/ Rain Check and $1q = .65
      1 Franks Cayenne Sauce small bottle 1.49 – .75q = .76MM
      1Franks Sweet Chilli 3.19 – .75q = .94 ( i thought this was cheaper for some reason)
      1 Small Tabasco Sauce 1.25 – .60q = .55MM
      1 Frenchs Onions 2.69 – .75q = .44
      1 Ken’s Marinade 1.62 – $1q = .62
      2 dove dark  choc bars 1.98 – .50/2q = .48 for 2
      1 Gain Dish Liquid = 1.99 – .50q – $1ZVR =  .51 MM
      2 Scott Naturals Wipes 5.38 – 2 .50qs = 2.38 for both
      1 Quaker Real Medleys 1.99 -.50q – .50ZVR = FREE
       1 Schick Hyrdo Shaving Gel 2.89 – .75q = .64
1 Deans Heat and Eat Dip 2.29 – $2 Saving Star – .65q ( I think it was .65, I cant remember) either way great MM!
      2 Emerald Breakfast on the go 2/$5 nd 2 $1q = $3 for both

Total before evic, coupons etc was 84.23 and after was 12.67 (then minus the saving start coupons $3) would be 9.67 for everything!

I’ll post our other transaction in a new post since this one is already pretty long.

      Hope this helps others!

      • guest

You mentioned quite a few MM, moneymakers.  If i’m not mistaken, the only way an item can be a moneymaker is if their is also an evic q or savingsstar, since Harris Teeter only doubles/triples up to the purchase price of the item, not more.  So for example, the tabasco sauce is 1.25, the q would only triple up to 1.25, not up to 1.80, so it would not be a moneymaker.  Do you actually see these tripled the full amount on your receipt?

        • guest

I was thinking the same thing as you.  My HT doesn’t triple the coupon beyond the price of the item.

          • luv2save

You guys are right, I never knew that! Ah well all the MM listed are really FREE then, and the ones with ZVR or Saving Star really are the only MM.  Sorry for the confusion!  Still good deals :)

          • luv2save

        • luv2save

Hmmm…you are probably right.  I just assumed they were going to MM based on the math, but maybe they were adjusted down.   I had seen other sites refer to some of these as MMs too, I’ll double check my receipt.  Thanks for the heads up on this I am still learning ;)

          • Guest

You don’t get ‘MM’s’ just from coupons at HT unless the coupons are coded 992, meaning even though you use them on the correct product, the system does not ‘attach’ them to the product and therefore the system allows the coupon to triple completely w/o respect to the price.  HT fixed their registers YEARS ago so that every coupon that is NOT a 992 will only triple up to the actual sale price of the item, making items ‘free’ but not MM’s except in the instance of 992 coupons.

        • Guest

This is true most of the time, however, my .90 jello coupons did not adjust down this morning. It gave me the .90 plus tripled amount of $1.80 for $2.70 off. The jello temptations are on sale for $2.50 so this was a money maker. Guess you just get lucky sometimes.

It all depends on how they have the price coded in the computer…my experience has been if the tripled coupon price is less than the normal price but more than the sale price, it’s a money maker! this is not a hard rule though :) hope that helps!!

    • Caramelangel1015

Hey everyone!! I had a great trip this morning! I go with my mother n law So I tally the two together. Will post a list and totals later. But this time I done things a little different. I went yesterday and the day before to walmart and cvs and walgreens. At walmart I used the $2/1 purina benefel coupon( no size restrictions) and got the small bag for $1 makin them $1 mm. Anyway what money I made from walmart and mm deals from cvs( my Harris teeter takes ecb and walgreens register rewards), I used to pay for this Harris teeter trip. And to my surprise, it totally covered both my mother in laws trip and my own making the trip 100% savings:) I was so excited! Thanks Jenny and all of u that post on here

      •  I wonder if my Harris Teeter takes register rewards! Do you live in charlotte nc?

        • LuvCpns

The Charlotte NC HT’s take register rewards. I used 2 today.

          • Kcreviews

My Wilmington HT will only take one RR per order, and they are reticent to do that.

        • Mywolfcubs3

I’m in Asheville NC :) they always take register rewards from Walgreens but some times they take ecb from cvs and sometimes they dont

Total bill 178.83 (heart palpitations) … oop 53.86 Score! It took me about 20 trips to get it all in the house. lol

      • Leightinacolt

How can you spend that much with only using 20 coupons?

        • Mtmkjr

I have a feeling the 178.83 is the retail price.  Sales/coupons to bring it down to 53.86.
It’s true, you couldn’t get more than 59.40 savings with tripled coupons – that’s if they were all .99!   If they were .75 coupons, it could only be 45.00 plus a little more for Zavers and such

          • JL

I saved 123.00 and spent only $58.00 with tax. I had some $1.00 and $2.00 coupons. I bought everything on sale or clearance using coupons. Sale price savings is included in savingd total.

        • Brooke

You can double 20 coupons, you can use as many coupons as you would like. I used 20 coupons that today and quite a few 1 and 2 double coupons that did not double.

I had a $10 off $50 recycle bank and $2. off the soda deal and scooped up the potatoes B2G3 and various other deals. The $178.83 was retail before VIC and ZVR and coupons. There are plenty of great deals without just triple coupons. If anyone is interested I can e-mail my list. It is way too long to post here. Running total as off today $225.09 retail. oop $66.74. I’ll probably only make one more trip.

The Ore-Ida deal is great.  Buy 2 get 3 free at 3.39.  I used two one dollar coupons (tear pad coupons that were on the “penguin”.) for 2 bags of sweet potatoes, then I got three other varieties free.

So for about 5 bucks I got 5 bags of ore-ida.    I might have been able to use 5 coupons, on five bags, but I only had a couple more of those coupons.

I did the same thing and got $1.50 coupon back on next purchase compliments of ore-ida. So it was around $3.50 for 5 bags. was surprised to find that in with the other coupons that printed out.

      • LuvCpns

I did the Ore-Ida deal too, used 6 $1 cpns. 10 bags $13.56 – 6/$1 = $7.56 or $.75 a bag and then I got a surprise $3 off next purchase. So if you count the $3 off it ends up being $.45 a bag,

        • sam

Ok you did better than me, but I also got a catalina off my next purchase!

So, now HT is letting us use coupons on the free items?   I was not sure!

          • LuvCpns

I’m not sure on using the coupons on the free items. I thought the same as you so I meant to take out 2 of the coupons for Ore-Ida and use 4 for the 4 I purchased but forgot. I didn’t think about it until i was checking my receipt and saw they scanned without issue. The $3 catalina I got from Ore-Ida was a nice surprise.

          • Nicole

My HT only lets me use 2 coupons on a B2G3.

            • Tkt1990

According to their policy a coupon can be used for every item purchased – I got this verified from the Corporate office – just because they have it on sale B2G3 free does not mean you can not use coupons – in other words if your get all 5 items tou can use 5 cpns

No others that I’m aware of. Jenny’s database only has one and it’s a Target coupon.

The $1 off Quaker Granola or Soft Baked Bars coupon only printed the top half of bar code, even though it printed everything above and below the bar code. They could not accept this coupon and you have to wait 180 days to try to print another one.

      • Guest

I tried to print that one about a week ago and it messed up like that too.  Very frustrating.  It was the ONLY one out of the list that I printed that was screwed up.  Maybe something wrong with the programming?

      • Alli

No, the 20 tracks per your VIC card.

      • sure u could but TECHNICALLY its 20 a day. i saw a lady load up her car then went back in to shop.  So its up to u.

        • Brooke

actually you can’t because your card tracks it. Most people that do multiple transactions have multiple cards, which I don’t really understand either because they link cards through addresses. I had to worst experience with HT at first because while I was in college I had the same address as my parents (never couponed then but my mom did). After I graduated college, I didn’t even think about it and my mom and I happened to go to HT on the same day and they told me that I had already used my 20 coupons for the day and I was SO confused. They told me to call corporate because my card may be linked and sure enough it was.. So people that have multiple cards must also have multiple addresses..

        • Guest

The only way someone can get more than 20 coupons tripled per day is if they use a different VIC card.  HT updated their systems to track the number of coupons doubled/tripled per day per card years ago so now it is LITERALLY only 20 coupons doubled/tripled per day, unless you have access to another card.  And even if you do, the store has the right to tell you to come back another day.

        • Onlyme

how can someone get two cards when they ask you for your drivers licence

      • luv2save

No, once you go over 20 then your coupons are only read at face value, no doubling or tripling

    • Paul B.

Did the triples today. I got $106 worth of groceries for just $28. I got most off my list. Maxed out the 20 coupons so I will have to go back.

Great trip this morning. Used my 20 coupon limit for Triples which included 2 Walgreens RR for $.99 which tripled, plus 10 $1 or $2 coupons for things like $1 off Grape Nuts Cereal that was B1G1 (needed it, want to make my own Grape Nut pudding) and 3 $2 off Milo’s Kitchen dog treats that were B1G1, and 6 $1 off Ore-Ida frozen potatoes that are B2G3 (I bought 10 bags). Used $10 off $50 Recyclebank coupon and had a free coupon for Kraft Fresh Take which was $2.99.

Total before coupons and vic savings was $118.74 – $43.93 vic savings – $65.76 cpn savings = $9.05 oop.

I have 4 $1 Walgreen RR I think I could have used to make oop $5.05 but decided to save them for another trip as I wasn’t sure if they limit the number of RR that you can use in one transaction. I also have 2 more $.99 RR to use for my Triples trip 2.

      Received the following Catalina’s
$3 off next purchase from Ore-Ida
$1 off 2 Dean’s Heat and Eat Dips
$1 off 2 Smart Balance Spreadable Butters
$1 off International Delight Iced Coffee Half Gallon
$.75 off 2 jars Dole All Natural Fruit in 100% juice
Informational Catalina Buy Green Works Products between 5/14 and 6/10 save up to $3. Buy 2 get $1, Buy 3 get $1.50, buy 4 or more $3

All the deals I got I believe are on Jenny’s lists with some price variances except I don’t think the Dean’s Heat and Eat Dip was listed but here are some examples of what I got.

The Barilla Ready Meals were no longer on sale, they were $3.39 I believe.

      Dean’s Heat and Eat Dip $2.29 – $.65 = $.34 plus $2 credit from SavingsStar
      2 Heluva Dip $1.50 – $.50 = Free
      1 French’s Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce $2 – $.50 = $.50
      6 Milo’s Kitchen Dog Treats B1G1 $3.35 – $2 = $1.35 for 2
      2 Vlasic Relish $1.99 – $.75 = Free
      10 Ore-Ida Frozen Potatoes B2G3 $13.56 – 6/$1 = $.75 each
      1 Grape Nut Cereal B1G1 $2.07 – $1 = $1.07
      1 Ball Park Angus Beef Franks $2.77 – $.75 = $.52
      1 Ball Park Hot Dog Buns $1.99 – $.55 = $.34
      4 Dove Chocolate Singles $.99/1 – $.50/2 = $.24 each
      2 International Delight Iced Coffee Half Gallon $3.99 – $.75 = $1.74
      1 International Delight Ameretto $2.25 – $.55 = $.60
      1 International Delight Cinnamon.. $1.25 – $.55 = free
      2 Smart Balance Spreadable Butters $2.59 – $.75 = $.34
      Nonni Biscotti B1G1 $3.89
      1 Dole jar peaches $2.99 – $.75 = $.74

Got rain checks for Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, Jello Temptations and I took the last package of the Ball Park Angus Beef Franks (they had a lot of the non Angus)

      • GOOD JOB!!!!!

I just wanted to also share my trip to Aldi where I went on my way home from my HT trip above. It’s been such a good shopping day. I use Aldi for fruit’s and veggie’s but not much else. I couldn’t have done anywhere near what I did in the above HT trip at Aldi. Aldi produce can be hit or miss but has been good the last couple of weeks.

I think they made a mistake on my Banana’s. They are $.44/lb and I got 7 fairly large ones and the weight on my receipt said .59/lb and I was charged $.26.

        5 Kiwi $.99
4 slicing tomatoes (NC grown) $.59
4 lb. bag valencia oranges $1.69
5 lb. bag Red Potatoes (IL grown)  $1.29

        Total $4.82

I got 6 packages of peppers last week to cut up and freeze. 3 peppers per package for $1.29. 1 red, 1 orange, 1 yellow. They were really nice peppers and so colorful.

        • Raynesmw

I LOVE Aldi’s too! I take my little material bag in, fill it up with my produce, pay and walk out. It’s like going to the farmer’s market. :-)

UGH!  The only time I’ve ever had an issue with coupons at HT was this morning.  I had (3) .75/2 Ball Park and (3) .75/1 Ball Park Angus.  The cashier told me that because they were all BP I could only triple 3 coupons.  I told her that I was under the impression that the coupons were 2 different coupons for 2 different products and therefore would all triple.  Eventually, the manager approved the coupons (all of which scanned and tripled correctly) with the statement “We can do it this time.”  Anyone else have a similar problem?

      • Guest

Were you getting 6 of one product and 3 of another, or 9 of the same product?  They may have thought it was excessive and wanted to preserve stock for other customers…  Honestly it’s easier and less dramatic if you spread out ‘stock up’ items like that over the course of the week instead of getting a bunch all at one time.

        • Jamell

6 and 3.  My HT is over 20 miles away, so I have to really make a point to get what I want/can in one trip.  It all worked out in the end.  I was just curious if I was misinterpreting the policy…

I did the same transaction with no problems this morning.  The coupons are for distinctly different items (one is specifically Angus beef) & they should not have given you any trouble.

      • Raynesmw

I think the policy is a limit of 3 like coupons. These are two different coupons, shouldn’t have been an issue. I go in the afternoons when the high school cashiers come in, they are just nicer to me. They were out of the Ball Parks but I also know truck days. I still did very well. :-)

        • Jamell

That was my interpretation too…  I had a good trip, but I don’t want to be one of “those” people who break the policy and wonder why the rules are constantly tightening.  :0)

My cashier said something to me to but she didn’t really them well and thought they were the same coupon because they looked the same except for one said .75/1 and one said .75/2 but when I showed her it was 2 different coupons she took them no problem.

      • couponmomof5

no. I did not have this problem. I bought 3 angus franks and 3 buns, used and trippled coupons just fine. The coupons are different. the cashier was wrong. you are totally correct! sorry you had to deal with that.

A couple of deals that I got today in case you have these Qs:

Had 2 tear pad Qs for $.75 off the Bold Wheat Thin flavors. They were on sale for $2.99. Got them for $.74 each.

Also had a $.75/2 Goldfish coupon from a Kroger home mailer. Got two packages for free. They are B1G1.

The Vanity Fair napkins coupon .55 says Do Not Double…. so she would not do it :-)… Kind of a bummer.  But did okay on the rest of the coupons I had.

Call your store and ask when the next truck comes in to restock. Some in my area get trucks everyday during coupon events but some don’t. Best to go right after a truck delivery.

Since they have Saturday specials and new deals that only get announced on Fridays, they usually restock Fridays & Saturdays for the good specials.  Some independent reps come throughout the week for other stuff, though, so any time you go could be right, depending on what you want & if there are a lot of varieties of it.  For instance, this week they sold out of the Jello things that come out free right away, and since there are only 4 varieties, I wouldn’t expect them to get any more in.  But since there are like 12 different kinds of Ball Park hot dogs, they will probably keep them stocked, esp. since it’s the week before Memorial cookouts… Good luck!!

Can we use Walgreens Register Rewards at Harris Teeter? If so, would a 99 cents RR triple?

My HT will take Wags RR, but I have read on here from others that their HT won’t take them, so I guess it depends on your store.  RR do not double.

        • Guest

          …or triple.

          • Guest

But then again, I just read another person’s post and they said their .99 cent RR tripled…which would be AWESOME!

            • Yazpistachio

Hey guys, I just learned that HT has changed their policy regarding WAGS RRs. Corporate no longer considers drug stores a competitor, so they are no longer accepting RR’s as competitor coupons.

            • JeninCarolina

When did this change? I used RRs at HT a couple weeks ago. BUMMER!!

            • LuvCpns

I used RR yesterday and today with no problems. I used 2 $.99 RR both days and they tripled. I also used 4 $1 RR. They also accepted by CVS ECB’s last week. Is this something new they are going to put in place or did they lead you to believe it was already the policy?

        • Paravel43

My experience has been that my HT DOES take RR and they do double or triple just like a manufacturers coupon.

Best shopping trip ever …used my 20 triples a few other $1 and up coupons and a $20 Rx credit and walked out with nearly $100 worth of groceries for $0.27 …paid with a quarter and 2 pennies crazy!

    • Croppinmama

Anyone else having this problem–when clicking on a “PRINTABLE” link tonight, instead of opening up another window, when it was for a coupon on SS, it went directly to the SS coupon page.  Then when I hit the back arrow trying to get back to the list I had started, it was ‘cleared’.  Had to start my list over 3 times before I figured out I could avoid that glitch by waiting to create my list, print it out, then click on the links.

Okay, I’m having a complete brain fart.  Do HTs catalinas double or triple?  I have 2 international delight iced coffee cats for .75 off?  If it triples, it would be a pretty good deal. Not a grrrrreat deal, but enough for me to add to my caffeine fueled mornings.   Thanks guys! P.S. I saved tons yesterday. Venturing in again today, but with my kiddos.Wish me luch.

You shouldn’t be able to unless it was for an amount off your total purchase. If it was for an amount off a specific item then it’s a man. Q. So you shouldn’t have used both.

Jenny, I can’t thank you enough!  I had my first HT triple coupon experience last night and I saved so much!  Retail was $140, I paid about $59!  (includes non-tripled items that I needed). One question — I went to 2 different stores to see if I could get the Jello Temptations, but they were sold out.  Do rain checks honor the price AND the triple coupon?

      • mamabelbel

They only honor the sale price but do not generally triple the coupon.  Often if I check back on Monday or Tuesday I am able to pick up some of the items that were sold out at the beginning of the sale week.

      • Mhinson63

They will honor a raincheck at any time, but not the triple coupon

Hi everyone! I am a fairly new couponer and had a question…I shop at Farm Fresh on Wednesdays ( They double up to $1 EVERY Wed). I saved 74% and then recvd $1 off next shopping visit and $1 /2 Smart Balance butter.  Can I use these at HT even though FF logo on Q? (Sorry if this has been explained before)  Thanks to all of you..Cowgirl

      • Mhinson63

If the coupons also say manufacturers on them HT will take them. If the say only redeem at FF they will not.

        • Yazpistachio

HT will accept other grocery competitor coupons for $$ off the total order. So she could use the $1 off the next shopping trip. See the store policy for more detail

The Renuzit IP I have is for the fresh accents item, that kind of looks like the febreeze set n refresh.  However I have seen it listed as a deal with the cone shaped air fresheners that are currently 5/$5 – is this correct?  I am thinking its two different products so shoulnt work OR shouldnt be done, but wanted to check with others.

The HT ads must be regional, because our stores here in eastern NC had a short ad. The Ore Ida was B1G1, not B2G3. Same thing with the Kraft cheese and the Edy’s. Also, the International Delight creamer was not on sale, only the Coffee Mate Bliss large containers. The Luigi’s and Nestle ice cream were not on sale either.

      I still had a fairly good trip–spent $35.19 and saved $86.95.

I live in this area also. I have the option of the Commissary or HT. I choose HT all day long. I manage to buy higher quality meats at very good prices, not to mention a lot of free stuff. Besides, HT is 4 miles from my house as opposed to 12-15. The time for the drive and gas not add up to be beneficial compared to just remaining at HT. The prices at the Commisasry have also gotten ridiculous and many are the same prices as any other grocery store. There is not a tax, but there is what they a “donation” of about 5% added to maintain the Commissaries. I get an enormous amount of organics at HT also.

the ball park coupons say on them  DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE!

      • couponmomof5

where did it say that? I have already used mine and did not even notice that on them. They trippled just fine for me.

      • Brooke

Mine don’t. I was suprised because I remember last time during triples I tried using ball park coupons and they said DND and my store would not double them.. So this time, I was surprised to find that my coupon did not say DND anywhere. Perhaps this is regional??? Mine does not say that and doubled just fine :)

      • JeninCarolina

Just checked–mine do NOT say DND on them. Perhaps they vary by insert, or perhaps you were using an earlier coupon, Mommee? Mine has an exp of 6/3/12.

Looked at mine. They don’t say that. You may need to double check yours. I used two on Wednesday. I had no problem. I had a cashier who read every coupon. Even had to help her find expiration date on one.

      • LuvCpns

I already used mine so I can’t check but I normally look for DND and didn’t see it. I used both the $.75/1 Ball Park Angus Beef and the $.75/2 Ball Park and both tripled with no issues.

Hi Jenny and everyone is my first at harris t. and I was surprise when they ask me for my drivers licence I wasnt expecting that, this the first time I heard of a supermarket asking for id just to get a shopping card, plus people working there werent friendly at all. I did save but I dont if worth the pain. also want to know if triples is always or if only this week. thank you for your help.

      • JeninCarolina

I’m so sorry you didn’t have a good experience at HT. That’s really too bad because I find they are usually very customer friendly. Some employees can get a little grumpy around triple time, but I am sure they are under a lot of stress at this time.
I assume they asked for your license when you were applying for a VIC card. You are allowed one VIC card per address, as I understand it, and they take the address thing pretty seriously to avoid multiple cards. I doubt you’ll ever be asked to show your license again.
I hope your next visit is better! I do find that the staff is friendlier at some HTs than others. I have my favorite stores. Happy shopping!

      • LuvCpns

Don’t give up on HT. If you have more than one close by try a different location. The checking of your license had to be just for initial signup for your card. I’m never asked for my license. My HT the people are really nice and friendly and customer service is excellent. They are very liberal on taking coupons, they normally double/triple even the ones that say DND and they take Walgreen’s register rewards and CVS ECB’s. Good Luck!

      • flipn3d

Keep trying. I had a bad experience my first 2 times where things kept ringing up for the wrong price. I was so frustrated since I always have at least 2 kids with me and can’t watch the register like a hawk. Thankfully it got better and they are great now. I enjoy it there and save a lot too!

I don’t see the Meow Mix sale listed here, but it is listed on one of the other lists–the best prices one, I believe. The coupon I have for .75 clearly states do not double and I just missed it. It has the new coding on it. I don’t believe the cashier did anything to it–he didn’t say anything–I think it just didn’t triple. Just an FYI, and a reminder to do what I didn’t on my first triple visit last night. Please look for those DNDs and plan accordingly. I shop mainly at two HTs in Cary, the cashiers generally look over the coupons closely, and in my experience, they do not double the DNDs. They usually tell me if they run across one. I’m at the age now where the fine print is tough to see sometimes, lol!! :o)

Jen,  I read elshewhere that the MM coupon is coded not to double.   I shop at three HT’s in Cary and the one in Apex and my experience has been very different from yours.  Ive never had a cashier pull dnd’s and manually override the system not to double them.  As long as the register takes it, they just happily scan away!

THX. Yes–and I frequently have issues with my receipt at Crescent Commons–generally a pricing issue. I always check my receipt before I leave because I have had numerous issues. In my experience, the cashiers watch for DNDs, and I do my very best to omit them. I go there because it is a large store. I call it the Taj MaTeeter. My “home HT” is Grande Heights and they are generally wonderful. I haven’t done any couponing at the High House/Davis Drive HT, but maybe I should. What have you heard about Crescent Commons?

Deal I found today on 2nd trip for Triples. Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt 5.3 oz., not on sale, $1.29 reg. price. If you have two of $.50/2 internet smart source coupons and have the $1 off 5 evic saved to your card it’s a fairly good deal. $6.45 – $3 (2/$.50/2) – $1 evic = $2.45 for 5 or $.49 each.

I did the Heluva Good Dip deal today.  Buy 1 at $1.50 – $.55 – $.75 evic new this morning = $.75 profit from evic. I also did the Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt deal that I posted below. I just went out to look at my saved evic coupons and both the Heluva Good Dip and the Dannon were showing again that I could save to my card. So check your available evics after you use them maybe you’ll get another one to save to your card, That doesn’t normally happen to often.

I do freeze Smart Balance milk, butter, sliced cheese and shredded cheese. My freezer is currently at its max after this week though :-)

        • Raynesmw

Should had read “A very weird texture.”

        • Sigh, I didn’t think so….. Oh well, the dip was completely FREE to me, so on the off chance I don’t use it, no harm no foul.

Interesting that you got the Mott’s for $.34 which I assume was $1.99 and you had $.55 coupon. Your in Charlotte. The stores in South Charlotte have them for $2.45 so they would be $.80, still not bad but $.34 would be better LOL. Amazing the price variances within the same city.

        • Sinfuldarkangelbbw1

you will notice that prices can be different at all stores. like i live in kinston and walmart prices are higher here then in greenville walmart.

      •  So glad you found this list helpful!

does anyone know if the “per day” really means you have to wait 24 hours or can I do a seperate transaction? I usually stick strictly to the rules set by the store, but in this case I am going to have to travel and hour to get to my closest HT. And it would be awesome if I didnt have to take more trips. I know the limit for coupons is 20 and I have 38!! So Im not trying to clear shelves just save gas lol

Limit is 20 doubled/tripled per day. Any after 20 are redeemed at face value. Not sure how the “per day” is done and if your card resets at midnight you would need to ask. If you have a 24 hour location maybe you could cash out one transaction before midnight and the other after midnight.

      • Wowformisty

They only double/triple 20 a day, not per transaction. They will accept all your coupons at no limit but wont triple but 20. Hope that helps.

      • Lcubed001

i was told at my store that it resets around 2 am.  not sure how true that is, but i know it is 20 per day.

depends on where you live honestly i know alot of crews that work with couponers….I do alot in charity and they usually reset their computers at midnight. so if i go in and get eerything checked out before midnight then i can then do my second order after midnight.

an example of why I love this website. I’m about out of coffee creamer and didn’t have a coupon for it so I was just going to grab some at Wal-Mart b/c they tend to be cheaper then Harris Teeter if you don’t have a coupon/item isn’t on sale. Well I browse this site every few days and noticed under beverages the link to print the international delights coffee creamer which will make it free! I never would have come acrossthat if not for southern savers! Keep up the amazing work!

I’m not sure if this has been posted yet, and we are all about saving money here.  I am a college student and new to couponing so everything helps!  The RR’s from Wags are tripling.  I went in today and asked a cashier if they would triple and was told no but when I was checking out they did triple!!  So its definately worth it to go into WAGS and buy a couple of the Starbucks Refreshers with or without a coupon.. You will pay $.99 and get that back in RR’s that will triple at HT to $2.97. This most definately sounds like a deal to me, and cuts the oop down!! :)

Most catalinas for specific items are manufacturer coupons and stores only allow one manufacturers coupon. I do not know any stores that allow you to use both. A catalina that is $ off your whole order is different and can be used even if you have a manufacturers coupon for each item in your order (unless you are at wags and their rules are different.

I’ve  been couponing for about a year.  This weeks H.T.   triples has been my best couponing experience ever.  I’ve maxed out my twenty triples every day (5days so far) and also used a bunch of $1 and above coupons too.  The folks over at the Surf City, NC  HT are great.  They’re helpful and pleasant and a pleasure to do business with..

Whenever the computer resets…sometime between midnight and 7am it seems.  Have shopped at 11pm and 8 am with no issue at all.  Definitely not a full 24 hour period.  I can only shop early and late so I regularly vary it without a single problem.

Heinz ketchup 1.75 use. 50 cent that was in ss today! Made it .25 cents a bottle.

    • Be on the look out for your EVIC coupons not ringing up. I bought two Caress Body Washes with two 0.75 cents off  coupons. I also had a 75 cent EVIC coupon which made one of the body washes .99 cents. The 75 cent EVIC did not register. They gave me the 75 cents back. It just obviously pays to scrutinize each and every transaction.

Quick HT question.  If a product is 4 for $5, do you have to buy all 4 to get them @ $1.25 ea or if you get less than 4 will they ring up at the regular price?

I got conflicting answers to this from managers so I asked on HTs facebook page. They got back to me and said they reset the coupon limit when they reset the computers which is by 7 am each day – I have done a late night run and been able to use another 20 after 7 am .

      • **couponer

Ive been told that their computers reset everyday at 7 am.  So, for example, if you went at 10 pm tonight, you could still go at 7 am tomorrow to get your 20 for the day,
