    • JLo

Does HT double $1 cpns all the time?

      • Holdant29

No, about every 2 months or so

      • Immn Native

they always double up to .98 all the time

      • Savn2gether

On a regular day, they double anything 99 cents or less… So, $1.50 and $1 coupons are great to use during super doubles! Hope that helps!

    • Tyedyemomma

Squeell!!!! I am SO excited! This is the first time with super doulbes I have had all the coupons I need and more.  Now to narrow it down it is game plan time.  I wish I had a shopping buddy!

      • Yeah, my shopping buddies are my tween daughters. I'm actually looking forward to bringing them as they are really catching the coupon fever now, lol. They helped me sort and fill my binder tonight. I'll be sending them out to pick up the deals for me to bring them back to my cart.

    • CoreyJ

Chef Boyardee coupon is .35/3 not .35/1 unfortunately

      • Amy

coupons on regional and I got the .35/1….

      • Vacoupongal

Its still a good deal.  Cheer up!

    • Dana

Booo!!! There are no more prints left for the Jello Temptations,,,

    • Ghettobillys

I'm excited too!  I have lots of coupons that will give me FREE stuff!

    • The last super double was in my first month of couponing.  I am definitely more organized this time and hope to take advantage of the REALLY good deals.  I sure have enough cereal to last a while.  :)  I did go everyday last time and used my 20 coupons a day.  I don't have much $$ this time so will shop well.

I am also thinking that there may be Catalinas for the degree deodorant. Printing $4.00 on 4 so a money maker if it does print right?

      • What Catalina deal???? Please do tell!

        Nevermind. Kmiller posted already downthread.

When are the sales ads online? I know I usually get mine at night the day before, but does anyone know what time?

    • Lillie

Could someone tell me if Harris Teeter internet coupon rule is for only 2 internet coupns for each visit or 2 like internet coupons on one item?

      • SEQ

The policy is to accept two of the same internet coupon.  You can use different internet coupons, but just two of each kind.  HTH.

    • Srgordon

I found a good deal I feel on Jollytime Popcorn, on sale for $2.69 there is a $1/2 online so for a box of popcorn $1.69, also gillete bodywash evic coupon would make for a moneymaker, mini wheat is on sale for $2.49 a box, my hubby wants to try the kind with the fruit in the middle, there is a $1.50/2 so $.99 for a 18 oz box

      • Srgordon

Also don't know if it is posted on the other pages or maybe even this listed but the keetle brand chips are on sale for $2.50 $1 off coupon makes them $.50

    • Veronica

we never shop at harris teeter b/c there's not one close by, but we will be heading out to the beach this weekend and will be buying groceries for the weekend stay, can i get the vic card at the store and still use it and get the super doubles while i'm there or will i have to wait for something to come in the mail?

      • Manyfishes

You  can get a card at the store and use it the same day. Enjoy your trip and Happy savings.

        • Veronica

          thank you!

          • Veronica

I plan on shopping the one at Morehead City and the sales paper looks the same, it’s the unadvertised deals that have me worried about whether they will match or not.  Hopefully they will be at least close.  We wouldn’t be able to afford the trip if not for doing it on the cheap with coupons. LOL

            • Veronica

Oh, and hopefully the shelves won’t be cleared by friday afternoon when we get there either.

      • Bridget

Be careful though, if you are headed to the Outer Banks, because they do not always have the same promotions during the summer months  – prices tend to be higher. At least you get to go to the beach though :)

    • Couponlover1016

Do the unadvertised deals apply to all Harris Teeters and even when the item is not marked?  Thanks!

      • marlene

not usually no.  you may want to check with the cashier but usually most stores are good about putting up the sales tags

        • Depends on the store. I know whenever I used to shop early Wed. morning, the store I went to, there were ALWAYS an army of employees still putting the stickers on the shelves as I shopped. It was really confusing trying to make sure the deal I wanted was actually on sale.

      • Carolinablueyes84

I dont think so. It varies by region

    • Brooke

Hope everything is in stock! & Jenny good luck at the asheville store.. I shop either there or the hendersonville store and both get out of stock FAST. I'm planning on being at the Hendersonville store at 7am when they open!

      • pennywiseinasheville

Is the Hendersonville store any better than the one on Hendersonville Road? I live in Asheville and DO NOT like that store. They are extremely strick about  coupons. I was getting ready to post a comment to Jenny about that store…..to be careful and not expect a good trip there.

        • Heater1212

Yes, it's newer and bigger, so the H'ville one carries more. They do run out quickly too though. They're getting strick too, but not at the same level as the Asheville store.

    • Cheyenne

I have a subscription to the ebony magazine  there's a P&G booklet for the month of September in the magazine  that has a $1 off of any dawn soap in there.

      • me again

So free after coupon and most of all my ebony subscription was free.

    • Savn2gether

Swiffer Wet Jet refills (the liquid) will probably be available for $1.24. PG 7/31 has a 75 cent coupon for one swiffer refill. I was able to buy the swiffer wet jet refills with it at Publix earlier today for a much higher price. Good thing I've still got 2 coupons left for HT!

      • vmobs

There's also a 75 cent evic coupon for the refill as well :-)

    • morethanenough

These deals are so good it makes you want to drive to a Harris Teeter across the state lines!  Of course, there is the cost of gas…lol. I hate they packed up and left Georgia…at least I havent been able to find one.  If you know of one…PLEZZZZZ let this southern girl know.  Thanks!

      • Missy

There is one on St. Simons Island

    • morethanenough

      I'm in the Atlanta area….

    • Tracy3williams

I recently received some coupons from Harris Teeter that included a $2 off q for Oscar Mayer bacon. That means I'll get one pack for .39 tomorrow!

      • morethanenough

Thanks Missy, I did see that location on the web….but thats a lil too far. I appreciate your help!

    • Beth Anne Saves

These are good deal but I don't think it's worth me driving 4 hours round trip :(

    • Kmiller

My last trip to HT I got a catalina that read…
Buy degree anti-Perspirant/Deodorant between 8/8/11 and 9/4/11 and save up to $4.00
on a future order with coupon.
Buy (2) and get $1.00 or
Buy (3) and get $2.00 or
Buy (4) or more and get $4.00
coupon off your next shopping order
That makes for a great deal on Degree this week if you have coupons to double

      • Firedancer254

I just did this one today. It works on the travel sizes! I bought 4 travel sizes for $.97 each and used 2 $1/2 Qs from the 7/31 insert and got $4 back!

        • Margoren

Cool! Free fruit and veggies!! lol

          • That's not how it works.

            • Margoren

Yes, you can use the $4.00 catalina off your next purchase to buy a bag of apples for example… I always use my catalinas to buy bread, fruit and veggies.

    • Lhansel56

Can you use a Evic  coupon and a paper coupon on the same item.

      • Grace

yes, you can use an Evic and a mfg coupon on the same item.

      • Chele17rene

        yes

      • Mommy2Boys

Yes, just remember the evic won't double, but your paper will :)

    • Chaoticbliss

There is also a $2 e-vic coupon for the gillette body wash… coupled with the $2 man q, profit $.99.

      $2 e-vic coupon for gillette clinical strength deodorant + $3 man q = $.99 for product

      • Sabrena

        no profit just free

        • kouponkatrina

You do get overage if it's caused by an eVic. I did it today. Bought a Gillette Body Wash on sale for $2.99 and used a $2 off manufacturer Q. It still took off the $2 eVic, The eVics are the only way I know of to get overage at Teeter.

    • Lfriend81

has anyone figured out how to get the $1 off Lindsay olives to print?

    • Jessica

I don't know about anyone else, but I've got a ton of P&G eVic coupons loaded that are going to make this week even better! Yay!

      • Oh yeah! I checked my e-vics and I am really loving what I'm seeing.

      • Karmah60

Ah I'm sooo jealous.  They still won't let me sign up online!

      • Veganmom7

If you use ecoupons HT will not double the paper ones, the will only ring up at face value.

        • kouponkatrina

Is that something new? My coupons always double even if I use eVics.

        • Mommy2Boys

That's never happened to me!  Hope that was a fluke or something.

        • Jessica

Not true, Veganmom7 – all my coupons doubled no problem, plus I got my eVic coupons.  Saved $100.62 and spent $17.76 on lots of cleaning supplies and toiletries, plus got a catalina for a free $10 prepaid Mastercard for buying $30 of P&G products.

    • Just a reminder to make these deals even sweeter. Check to see if you have any CVS ecb's or $/$$ still valid. You can use them at HT. I just remembered that I had one I didn't plan on using sitting in the inbox because there weren't any CVS deals I was interested in this week. Lo and behold that sucker is still valid!!! $4 off $20 order, plus freebies and money makers! I am so excited.

      • Katie

My HT doesn't take ECBs. They said that even though there is one 2 miles down the road they no longer consider them a “competitor”, how stupid is that?

    • Is anybody STILL getting organized now? I know I am. I'll be up late still clipping and sorting. That's what happens when I slack behind. It seems like this happens every SD event.

      • Margoren

I am too… Sooo late already!!

      • Jamie

        I'm right there with you.

      • Karmah60

Yep, still up filing coupons away in the binder.   Maybe I'll get a few hours sleep if I'm lucky, up early for shopping in the morning too.  Who knew couponing could be so exhausting?  LOL

    • Shawna

I have 6 Smart Balance Milk coupons for $1.50 off (that will double to $3) and 9 Smart Balance Mayonnaise coupons for 1.00 off (that will double to $2).  I am willing to send them to anyone who wants them.  My car is having issues so I will not be able to get to HT for this event (I'm so sad!).  Please send an email to shawna914@yahoo.com if you want them so that I can put them in the mail tomorrow morning and you can get them ASAP!

      • Shawna

Thanks to all who responded, but the coupons have been claimed!

      • Srgordon

They say Do not Double in small print my harris teeter will not double

    • Nikkiash08

Can I use $5 of $25 CVScoupon at HT? There is a CVS in the same shopping ceter.

      • Mommy2Boys

Yep!  At least I've never had a problem using them.

        • Christina

Oh no! I had one of these and didn't know i could. Use. Can i take my. Receipt and get five dollars back?

    • Mulletavenger20

Anyone know if the newer coupons that don't have either a 5 or 9 will double or not? I've seen some that say do not double and others that don't say anything. Just wondering if anyone knows

      • Margoren

The registers in the grocery stores in my area are not even reading the new codes. They imput them manually.

    • Cdfox10

The chef boyardee coupon if .35 cents off 3 not 1. This item will not be free.

    • Cdfox10

The Mardi Gras coupon for .55 cents off napkins says do not double.

      • Dawn in VA

I didn’t even notice that. I used mine this morning and it doubled for 89c napkins. I was concerned because mine had a Food Lion logo on it, although it did say Manufacturer’s Coupon,

      • Dawn in VA

I didn’t even notice that. I used mine this morning and it doubled for 89c napkins. I was concerned because mine had a Food Lion logo on it, although it did say Manufacturer’s Coupon,

    • Carole

Does HT take Target coupons too?

      • Monicadeer

They will only take dollar off total coupons (like $5 off $25)

        • Yazpistachio

My HT took two walgreens manufacturers coupons (the catalinas that print at the register) for Reach floss. Made them free!

    • Brooke

Just got back.. shelves at my store were already getting wiped out.. there was a line out the door at 7am.. some of the prices didn't match at my store.. the chicken voila was not on sale.. it was 5.49-6.49 a bag not 3.99, the seventh generation dish detergent wasn't 1.99, it was 2.99 (the hand soap was a better deal and on sale though!) The bugles weren't bogo and the lance cracker creations were 2.99, not 1.97! Oh and the skintimate was no longer on sale. Otherwise I did great though! Got 3 soft scrubs, 3 lance cracker creation (family loves these and .99 is still good), 2 lysol wipes, 2 snackwells (i had 1/1 coupon not just .75/1  so they were .50 a box!), 2 old el paso taco stuffers, 3 seventh generation handwashes,  4 packs of bic pens, 2 hillshire farm smoked sausage and 4 bags of Chex mix! All that for 9.85- awesome!!

      • I know that at my store, they hadn't put up all the new VIC prices on the shelves.

    • Lmisb86

Hey lysol freaks just to let you know….head over to get you buy 2 wipes get a free lysol wipe rebate form to mail in as long as you can send in your reciept. That counts for regular lysol products as well
      http://lysol.com/healthy-families/healthy-kids/back-to-school

Just trying to help everyone out by saving some $$

    • Monicadeer

Just returned from our first shopping trip of the week…spent $25 (with tax) saved $60!  These aren't the best deals they've ever had but there are some good ones…

    • Allison

Just got back from my first trip! I spent $11 on $60 worth of product – a great way to start a morning! Picked up lots of cleaning supplies and healthy beverages, like milk, juice, and soy milk. :)

    • KatieW

My store on HHI had Tyson's Anytizers Honey BBQ Wings closeout for $4.99…so they were only $2.99 with my coupon.  Not bad at all!

Got 3 bags of the wings, a macaroni grill frozen meal, 3 webber's seasonings, 6 bags of purina friskies cat treats, 1 old el paso taco stuffer, a bailey's creamer, 2 pillsbury sweet moments, 3 large 4c drink mixes, and a couple other things for total of $20.53 after $70+ coupons.

      • TayDundee

Great Trip. Was it the Sea Pines gate HT or the one across from Walmart up island? I'm just visiting so I don't know which one is more coupon friendly. Thanks

        • KatieW

I went to the one by Walmart.  I’ve never shopped at the one near Sea Pines, but I know a few who do.  I live across the bridge, so the one near Walmart is closer for me.  Good luck!

    • Brooklyn

Back from my HT trip!! Got $86 worth for $17.77(incl. tax)!!! So worth getting up at 6am!

    • Jessica

Saved $100.62 and spent $17.76, plus a catalina for a free prepaid $10 Mastercard (for buying $30 worth of P&G) this AM!  Got only one or two of everything, so plenty for everyone else here in Wilmington. This was my toiletries and cleaning supplies trip, so we're stocked up for a good long time.  Planning my groceries trip for Friday AM, since they get a new truck in Thursday night.

    • Stephanie

So first time doing super doubles and have been using coupons for about 2mths now. I think I did pretty good… Before coupons and sales $192.25 after everything I spent out of pocket $47.55.. I am a very happy camper.. I got there at 5a.m. and I was the only shopper, by the time I checked out at 7 the store was packed…

    • paula

got my super doubles!!! before coupons, and vic card…$93.51…pd only $3.69 after vic card and coupons!!! woo hoo!!!

    • Deal Diva

Found another unadvertised deal!  When I got to my store at Skeet Club in High Pt, the Pepsi guy was putting $1 off (2) 2 liters coupon on them.  They are on sale for 4/ $5, so they ended up being .25 each.  Wooo Hooo!

    • Jenn

Just so everyone knows that Always Infinity is on sale this week with the coupon and vic coupon they are about 1.99 but the system will take a 1.50 off tide stain remover tab which is a .50 more coupon than the original always infinity coupon. Also bill was 107 and paid only 43.56. Not bad for a new couponer and first time doing super doubles :)

      • Yazpistachio

congrats! that's odd about the Always, I bought the same thing, but the evic came off as usual. . .

      • amber

Why would you think to use a $1.50 Tide Stain Remover coupon on an Always Infinity product?… Did I misunderstand your post?? I really hope that I misunderstood your post and you weren't trying to encourage others to try to cheat the system! But if that is in fact what you did and it was done intentionally that is extremely ILLEGAL because that's considered coupon fraud! If you are new please try to educate yourself by reading through Jenny's “Learn to Coupon” section. Also if you have questions these posts are a great way to ask other more seasoned couponers there advice. The majority of us couponers out there are honest, hardworking people just trying to save our families as much money as we can but there are a few that try to scam the system and those few are the ones that give all us other couponers a bad name!

        • Yazpistachio

Woah, it's okay. I read her post to mean the wrong evic came off automatically by accident. She can't control that.

          • amber

That's why I asked did I misunderstand the post!! If it was done by the cash register then yes you are right it would have been out of her control. Should have alerted the cashier though or if the sale was had already closed then alerted management to the error. My post was in no way meant to come off as being cruel or mean! All I was trying to do was let a self-admitted new couponer know that there is a right way and a wrong way and if she wasn't sure about something where to go to get help/advice! What's wrong with trying to potentially stop someone from abusing the system as long as it's done in a respectful way?

            • Yazpistachio

I'm rather blunt myself sometimes, so I guess I'm just trying to be sensitive to how messages come across.

It is hard to read tone of voice when you can't see or hear the other person. I didn't think your post sounded welcoming to a newcomer, but that could have just been me. :-)

            • amber

I agree with you it is definitely hard to tell the tone someone meant when they were typing something! I guess I'm just a straight-to-it kinda gal and don't really beat around the bush if something is on my mind. But again I was in no way trying to come off as being intentionally cruel! It definitely wasn't and wouldn't be my intention to ever come across to someone starting out as being that way! I think it's absolutely awesome how many people are couponing now and saving their families lots of money! I just get really tired of those select few out there that seem to always find a way to cheat the system and that's what I was getting at. The manufacturers and stores will keep producing the high value coupons and putting on these great money saving events if everyone is honest and sticks to the rules!

            • amber

To Jenn: I hope you read all of the comments between myself and Yazpistachio! It wasn't my intention to come off as being mean or anything like that! I didn't understand your post correctly! I apologize if anything I said offended you in anyway and really encourage you to continue couponing and saving money!

            • CouponFairy

Well, I wonder why you assume the 1.50 Tide coupon came off for the Always Infinity?  Did you not have Tide in your cart?  Why would you not think that the Tide coupon came off for the Tide you purchased, unless you didn’t have any Tide in your cart?  Hmm.  I get so excited about everyone’s good deals they score and extra deals that aren’t on the lists…but posts like these kinda bring me down.  I don’t want to think that any of us are the reason that stores are just going to say forget couponing altogether.

            • amber

Funny how “Jenn” never responded to any of these posts that were in reply to her original posting about the $1.50 Tide coupon coming off her Always product. My original assumption was probably right and I probably didn’t read the post wrong. Sopmetimes you get caught up in not trying to hurt someones feelings (being politically correct) that you forget that it’s OK to point out if someone’s doing something wrong/encouraging others to do wrong!

    • Yazpistachio

My experience with the previous 3 SDs has been that the health and beauty deals are swiped up first, and restocked last. So, tired of empty shelves each time, I went at 6:30 this morning. The shelves were NOT well stocked to begin with! most of the H&B aisles were half empty already. The store was not crowded at all, so I have a hard time believing people had cleared them in the half hour before my arrival.

      • Deal Diva

I am convinced people get there way before 7 and load their cart up w/ the best deals.  I got to my local store here around 7 and they were already out of the Gilette body wash.  It is frustrating.  I noticed though that some stores have started ordering extra of the items people will have coupons for.

        • Stephanie

I got there this morning at 5 and when I left at 7 the store was packed and I had decided to get just one more of something and there wasn't anything left. The person at the checkout before me had 2 carts, how she did it I haven't a clue, but oh well I did good so…

        • JenW

I got to my store at 7:30 am and the Gillette Body Wash was out (it was also on sale last week for $2.99, so the deal this week is  the same as last week's).  However, someone started stocking the shelves before I left.  But I think the shelf w ill be empty again soon.  The store wasn't crowded when I left, but the parking lot was getting fuller.

    • TK

Had a great trip to HT in Morrisville, NC.  Was able to get some items before shelves cleared. got Pillsbury sweetmoments and tortilla stuffers(they look kinda gross tho) Got the Lysol Deals ($5 off instantly with $20 lysol purchase) so I paid only $3.24 for a bunch of lysol stuff after coupons and $5/off.  Overall…. $177.74 for only $48.46 including a bunch of fresh meat and produce(non coupon items)!!!!
      THANKS JENNY FOR THE MATCHUPS!

      • Candikane02

yeah – I thought about the tortilla stuffers but they look gross to me too! They INCLUDE meat.. which is weird to me since it's not refrigerated or frozen. It's like those chef boyardee meals with meatballs in them lol ew

        • Taylorkneubuhler

I will try one and let you all know if it's any good…I'm crossing my fingers on it.  If its bad I will just donate the other one.

          • Tylersmommy1219

We just tried ours last night for supper.  I bought the steak ones.  We added mexican cheese and sour cream on it inside the tortilla shells.  I really liked them.  Wish I would have had more coupons so I could have went back the next day and bought 3 more.

      • Swtsouthngrl

I'm a vegetarian, so I haven't tried the tortilla stuffers, but my husband is fairly picky and actually really likes them!

        • Taylorkneubuhler

          thanks Swtsouthngrl!

    • Taylorkneubuhler

Also, If you diddnt know, HT pharmacy gives you a $20 off $20 purchase each time you fill or transfer a prescription. (up to 5 times for $100! of free groceries!)  So if you get your medicine somewhere else, make sure you go to your HT pharmacy and ask them about the special discount offer.  (this deal ends in October so hurry!)

      • Deal Diva

Do you have to have a coupon or voucher to get that deal, or just ask for it?

        • Taylorkneubuhler

I got it from the pharmacist.  I was only  buying a sudafed from behind the counter and he let me know about the deal and then he transfered a perscription for me and I got $20 off grocery that day.  Just ask at the pharmacy for a punch card.  They have to link you Vic card to the deal but i've used mine 4 times now and it is AWESOME!  and it takes the $20 off before you use coupons just like any other e-vic.

          • Deal Diva

            Awesome.  Thanks!

      • Dquin

I think you had to get an email about the pharmacy deal in order to get it. It wasn't for everyone. My friend got it but I didn't.

    • lowes91

I new to this couponing thing..i have a question, if i have a coupon for 1.00 does that mean HT will dbl it to 1.98?

      • Deal Diva

        1.00 is worth 2.00, 1.50 is worth 3.00.

      • EB

On a normal week a 99 cent coupon doubles to 1.98 but a $1 coupon is still only $1. This week is super doubles so everything up to a face value of $1.98 doubles (A $1.98 coupon would take off $3.96 but a $2 coupon is still just a $2 coupon.)

    • lowes91

how does the super dbl coupons work..if i have a 2.00 coupon what will it be with the dbl coupon?..isnt it for coupons that are ..99 and below?..srry for the questions, still trying to figure this all out..

      • Deal Diva

A 2.00 coupon is not doubled.  It is taken off at face value.  When HT runs the super doubles deal anything up to 1.98 is doubled.  For instance 1.50 would be 3.00 because it is under 1.98.  Normally only coupons up to .99 are doubled.  Super double deals are usually only one wk. per month.  Limit 20 coupons per household, per day.

    • Cindybarlowe

butterball qs  didn't double at HT or
bilo. they have printed do not double.

      • CarolinaCouponer

Our BiLo's double any coupon whether it says do not double or not.  HT will not double if it says not to.  HT is getting super aggravating…almost not even worth going.

        • EB

The butterball q's have only the new barcode and it has the “do not double” coded in it – just like if it had a 9 in front of the old barcode.

    • Babatts12

Question? If you use an evic coupon today…and then tomorrow go back in and save it again will you be able to use it again tomorrow? has anyone ever done that before?

      • Edliving2

Yes, you can even use it in the same day.  I have a coupon on my e-vic that has reset 4 times this week!

        • Babatts12

          great!!  thank you!

      • java051405

A friend of mine just told me today that she did this and it worked.  Haven’t tried it myself.

Now I'm worried that there will be NOTHING left when I do get a chance to go on my trip, which won't be until Friday morning at around 9 am :(  !! Here's hoping that I can get in there and at least get some stuff before the greed overtakes some people!

      • CCShad

Hopefully, they will restock on Friday.  I think the Soft Scrub is long gone and won't be restocked since it is not a sale item.  My store only had 9 to start with (someone checked when I asked if they had more) and they were gone before I got there!

      • JL

HT actually makes it fair to evryonewith coupon policy. They only allow 3 like coupons which means that you can only get 3 items (or 6 if it $1/2) and use your coupons. I think 3 is a reasonable amount for anyone to buy. It is not greed it just so many people coupon during super dbls. Don't forget rain checks never expire so you can use during the next super dbls. Stay positive.

        • MommyTo2Monsters

Thanks! I know that they do have those policies, but this will be my first BIG trip and I just want to make the best of it! And I have NO IDEA how to do rain checks….will be researching that one!

          • JL

If this your big first trip may I suggest checking out thier meat department. Don't know where you live but I am in Nashville and they always have great sales that are not always advertised. Today I got 4 big New York Srips and 2 Ribeys all for under $20.00. They also have an asortment of meat that is marked down. They are great quallity. HT is the only place that I buy meat. Good Luck.

      • Karmah60

I'm not sure if it's the same in every area, but I was told they have regularly scheduled delivery trucks coming early Friday morning.  I'm going again then. You may not miss anything :)

      • Brooke

goodluck- i saw a lady with a buggie full of soft scrub, lysol products and bic pens.. im not sure how she was planning to get so many snce there is a 3 like coupon limit… im thinking she was holding it for someone else.. who knows.. but I was like really. if your house is that dirty you need so much cleaning supplies, then you've got issues!! Luckily I was there at 7am and got a few of each of the things that were most important to me. I will probabaly go back this week but for the items I doubt will get sold out.

        • guest

Don't judge – you have no idea of her situation. As long as she follows the store rules she can buy whatever she wants.
I shop with a group of 7 – one of us hits a different aisle/area, then we meet and divide it up – so you may see me with 21 of an item – 20 minutes later I have 3. Within a few minutes of walking in the store we're checking out – all following the rules.
Judging others based on no information is not nice.

          • CouponFairy

Where are you at!  I would love to join this group…I shop at HT multiple times a week and every time I go in I never know where anything is LOL  :)

          • Amelia

That's actually a good idea to go with friends. I spent about 45 minutes in HT this morning with a 3 year old. I think the kid makes the trip longer than it should be, lol. Anyway I got 12 various Lysol items because of the $5 off $20 promotion plus lots of hand soap and soft scrub. My house is small, but cleaning products are expensive. When I can get toilet bowl cleaner for .08 each, then I AM going to stock up! There are coupons for $1 off 2 products, so if you use 3 coupons then it is 6 items. And use 3 different product coupons (3 toilet cleaner, 3 wipes and 3 sprays) then that is 9 coupons. So technically someone could walk out of the store with quite a lot of Lysol products and still completely be following all rules.

      • Amelia

My HT gets trucks in 3 times a week. They are always better prepared for super doubles too. You may have a hard time finding the FREE items, but there are a ton of other great deals out there too.

    • CloverCouponer

      I don't have the Chef Boyardee .35/1 from 8/07.  Mine is .35/3…ugh

    • Wendyk28054

Could someone explain to me how the “off 2” or off 3 coupons work when the limit is 3 like items?  If I have 2-1.00 off 2, coupons, could I get all 4 items or only 3?  Trying to wrap my head around this and getting more confused!

      • CCShad

limit is of 3 coupons for like items, so if you have $1/2, you can buy 6 same items and use 3 same coupons.  Only 2 like internet printable coupons.

    • CCShad

My store has a gas deal going on – buy $40 worth of groceries (total after coupons) and you get $5 off a $25 gas card (Shell or BP) -Charleston, SC area.  Deal is good through Sept 6th and no limit on how many times you do the deal.  $5 is automatically downloaded to VIC card and can be used on next purchase.  Hopefully, this can be used along with the $10 off $40 as coupon we get in Mt. Pleasant weekly ad.

      • Samantha

the manager at the long point mt p would not accept my $10 off $40 purchase. Now it has to be AFTER coupons even though every week before I've been told its BEFORE!!! I am so angry, and the manager was NOT nice! I would have stuck around and bought some more but she was so rude!

        • guest

Rudeness is never acceptable. Hopefully it was just a bad day. I do know at my stores it is always X off X after coupons – I never expected it to be otherwise. Think about it  – does make perfect sense.

        • CCShad

The coupon says after coupons and deductions, unfortunately.  I asked corporate about it once – didn't seem fair to people using coupons.  They explained that they put the restriction in b/c they double coupons for customers.  I see the logic now.  Since you have to spend the $40, I usually use that coupon at Publix!
          (I prefer the 2 new stores – 41 and 17 North.)

        • Samantha

it does make sense, but it should be one way or the other, ALL the time! The store manager was NOT nice and other people in my office have all said the same about her! I would have been more than happy to buy more but she was SO RUDE! I will not be going there anymore!!

    • I went this morning! And I'm not setup for E-Vic coupons because of a mispelling in the system that I need to go correct… but I spent $7 for $53. Got a ton of Catalina's – one for $.50 off of Country Crock butter, 1 for free Idahoan Potatoes, 1 for $1.50 Dog Food, and 1 for $1.00 / 2 Oikos Yogurt! Sweet!

I reached my 20 coupon maximum for today so I'm all ready to go tomorrow with the rest of my clipped coupons. :)

    • cyndi

HT in Charlotte, NC did not have covergirl eyeliner on sale, the swiffer refills were not BOGO, and the coffee mate creamer for $1.19 was only for the liquid cinnabon flavor.  Hope that helps someone.

      • Savn2gether

Just as a heads up, at the Saint Simons HT, the Lance Cracker Creations were listed at $2.99 (so 99 cents after the coupon instead of free) and the Hamburger Helper catalina deal is over (but you can still get them for 50 cents)….

        • Carmen

I still got a catalina for my Hamburger Helper purchase this morning (save 1.50 on your next purchase of hamburger, chicken or tuna).

          • Savn2gether

Not fair!:) The customer service rep. said she thought the catalina deal was over. I still bought 3 (instead of really stocking up), and they didn't give me a catalina. I'm glad it worked for you though, Carmen!

            • CouponFairy

I bought 10 of the Helpers and only recv'd 1 $2 catalina, boo!  lol.

        • tammy f

i got my catalina from hamburger helper

      • kim

the harris teeter on park road has the covergirl eyeliner on sale if you really wanted it!

    • Bre

The Asheville Harris Teeter sells out of advertised items very quickly.  Most mornings there is a line at the door at 7am when they open.  The best time to go is Saturday morning when they open.  If you are a member of their EVI, they send out saturday only special buys.

      • Brooke

same as hendersonville store.. went at 7 this morning… line out the door.. I have to say during the last super doubles though the asheville store was slightly better stocked then the hendersonville store. the hendersonville store as of 8am was sold out of seventh gen. hand soap, soft scrub, lance cracker creations and hillshire farm sausage.

        • Couponbrit73

I live in Hendo do They restock them Any? Its very hard for a working womanto get There And shop and be at work by 830 when you work in Arden. Lol

    • Sherman8498

Salisbury NC was out of the Bic pens, Gillette body wash, Soft scrub, Baileys creamer and Smart Source Milk (still had some of the lactose free).  The Seventh Generation detergent was 2.99 instead of 1.99.  Very frustrating trip.  I didn't even stop to see about rain checks.  If you're going to this HT you might want to have a back up plan for your coupons because the above items were already gone at 8:30!  Luckily I live close enough to check back later in the week.  Does anyone know how many times they restock during a doubles sale period?

      • Amelia

Sometimes if you go early on Wednesday they do no have all of the new sale tags up yet. If an item was advertised at a price (ie $1.99) but is listed at the regular price, then they may just have not gotten the tag out yet. I always ask. They can scan the item for you after you use your vic card and see if it is on sale. If not, they can always remove the item. Oh, and I know the Seventh Generation hand soap was on sale BOGO for 2.09. I just got 4 of those for .09 as we really go through some hand soap at my house, lol.

      • guest

Call your store and ask when they restock – mine does groceries Sun & Wed, cold stuff 3 days a week – yours may be different.

      • Sbyannotti

        frustrating for me too:(

      • Doctordj

I'm in Salisbury,NC too, and I was surprised by how quickly everything was gone. I think HT didn't do so great at stocking the store, either.  I think the didn't stock the reg Smart Balance milk prior to opening this am, cause  I was there at 7am and many items were limited quantities. Still had a blast shopping anyway.

      • Michelle

I think you were thinking about the Seventh Generation dish soap.  I also just checked my HT and it is the hand soap that is on sale.  I wouldn't have caught that either if I didn't see your post!  Good luck finding it!!

    • Michelle

Just returned form HT trip in Florence, SC, they were out of a few things but I'll just go back to check for trucks to come in later in the week.  $33.92 OOP/saved 93.19 … not too bad and it's my birthday … Happy Birthday to me!!!  :0)

    • Karmah60

Unadvertised deal in Chesapeake, VA…  Pillsbury breakfast scrambles 2/$4 sale, combine that with the printable $1/1 Pillsbury scrambles or biscuit coupon that was available on coupon network last week and it's free.  Ran across this in the freezer section when I was looking for eggos, lol.

    • Brooke

A little heads up to everyone.. they have a deal going on right now if you spend 20 dollars on lysol products you get 5 off.. this is BEFORE coupouns but after sale price.. All the lysol products are BOGO.. so it really is a great deal.. the wipes are like .79 each, toilet cleaner .49… sprays .99 (after coupons). You can get 4 wipes, 4 toilet cleaners and 3 room sprays for about 20.00 (pre coupons), about 9 after then get 5 dollars all that!! I didn't see this deal in my email until after I got home but i'm going to try and do it tomorrow. and i think anyone can do it because its on there website under promotions!!

      • Amelia

LOL. So funny we posted the exact same thing at the exact same time, ha ha. I'm so stocked up on cleaning supplies now!

    • Amelia

There is a $5 off $20 in Lysol promotion right now. Most Lysol products are BOGO. The $20 is after sale price, but BEFORE coupons. I bought 5 toilet bowl cleaners, 5 Lysol disinfectant wipes and 2 Nutra Air fabric and all that was less than $4. My total due for my whole bill was $109.53 and I only spent $18.11. I was really surprised how empty my HT was this morning. Everything was fully stocked and hardly any customers. Though I do live in north Charlotte and there are 5 HT's within 5 miles of me, so maybe some of the other store were busier.

      • Karmah60

Ooo nice.  Ty.  I'm adding it to my 2nd trip list.

      • Mmreep

What HT did you go to? I live in Charlotte to and most of the shelves were wipes out!

        • Amelia

The one on Mallard Creek Church road. But I was there from about 8-8:45 this morning. Everything may be gone by now.

      • Paulavb22

Did the 5 off 20 just print out at checkout?  I'm sure I got over 20 in Lysol and didn't get it:(

        • Amelia

It was an instant deduction. I came off at the bottom of the receipt with the coupons. It shows up as  “VIC LYSOL   $5 OFF”.

    • WannabCouponQueen

My Butterball coupon for the turkey franks (ex. 8/31/11) says do not double therefore it would not be .34. Just might wanna check yours when making out your list.

      • Amelia

Mine didn't either. I have never had any problem with a DND coupon not actually doubling until this one. It must have had one of the new barcodes on it.

        • trianglemom

Yes, the butterball coupons now have the new databar on them and theyve coded it not to double.  I think its safe to assume that coupons with the new databar wont double if its says do not double.  Im just worried that there is going to be coupons thats coded to not double but dont say it on the coupons and the only way to find out is when you use it/if you catch it.

    • Karmah60

How are people getting more than one Vic card btw?  I saw folks wheeling around 2-3 carts full of goods this morning, clearing shelves, and cannot figure out how they were doing it when the limit is 20 coupons per card.  I can only surmise they have more than 1?

      • Amelia

I ended up with about 30 items because some of my coupons were for $1 off 2 items and I had one BOGO coupon that did not count in the 20 coupon limit. Plus if you are getting non coupons items (meat, bread, other items that don't have coupons) then you can get as much stuff as you want. Or if your coupons are for $2 or more then they will not double. So you can double 20 coupons then use as many coupons as you want, but anything over 20 won't double. And if you try to get more than one card per household (ie, you send your husband in to get one too) then the accounts will just link together.

      • Cheryl

        They are greedy…

    • Cardiacrn9

west ashley st andrew harris teeter is out of everything…was really looking forward to my red wine vinegar and nature valley crisps…just got pasta, alexia bread and carpet fresh..boooo

      • Cpnorris0512

How much was the carpet fresh… I have 2-$1.50 coupons…THX!!

    • Jewjews768

E-vic questions.  Can you use paper coupons if you have and evic coupon?  Will the paper still double but evic will not double?  If so I could have saved more money this morning.

      • Jlaleonard

yes, You can use both. The evic coupon is good only once.

        • java051405

Someone just told me today that after using her evic coupon she went home and added it her to her card again and it worked so that she could go back to the store and use it again.  Haven't tried it myself.

          • Cheryl

If I use a .50 evic coupon, will my paper .50 coupon still double?

            • Tk

              yes

          • Cjc11jan98

I noticed this on mine, too! I used a few evic coupons and they “reappeared” this afternoon. I re-added them, and now I can use them again! Too cool!

            • Tylersmommy1219

Yep, you can reload the evic coupons. I went back today for my 2nd free Gillette body wash.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

eVic doesn't effect the paper coupons, today I bought the GIllette Body Wash for $2.99, used a $2 manufacturer coupon and had an eVIc for $2, they paid me to take it home!

    • Sbyannotti

chef boyardee is not buy one get one free- they are $1 each. Nylabones are not on sale either

    • Mmreep

What is the deal on the softsoap?

      • Cheryl

lol… go to Walgreens and buy one for 5.99. If you have a coupon use it. When you check out, you'll get $5 on RR… means you have a coupon (don't lose it) to use on your next purchase. You don't have to wait. You can go right back and buy $5 more of stuff after that initial purchase. Walgreens is good with RR as is CVS. Just buy more that your RR so you don't lose money..no money back on those.

        • Cheryl

Oops, that is Keri Lotion I was talking about… softsoap???

        • Karmah60

Funny thing is… they don’t even sell Keri at my Walgreens.  The sale on it is in their ad, but there is none on the shelf.  It’s not sold out, there is no label for it anywhere.  All the lotions were neatly stacked with no empty spaces, and absolutely no label for Keri.  They simply don’t sell it.  Crazy, huh?  I asked two different employees about it and one gave me some BS answer they give everyone, mumbling something about probably being out in the warehouse (they say that about everything to get me to shut up, and he didn’t even look for it), and the other had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.  Pity, I wanted to do that deal bad.

    • Melissa G Caudill

I rarley shop at HT. For the BOGO deals do you have to get both items or can you just get 50% off of one item like how Publix does?
      Thanks!

      • kouponkatrina

Each rings up at half price unless it states otherwise in the ad.

    • Lmlogan1

One of my best shopping trips yet! I got 91.04 of groceries including smart balance milk, beauty products, dog treats and etc for $.08! YES, $.08! a couple of my evic coupons must have covered up my tax, but it was a seriously awesome trip since I was expecting to pay about $3 out of pocket! but, I noticed for the first time ever they checked my coupons for DND and looking throughly at the details of the product. I only scooped up about 2 of each I needed. I was reallly not happy when I saw a woman bring three of her kids in with seperate carts though.. NOT FAIR to everyone wanting to shop.. I hope that someone eventually told her it was per household. it ruins it for everyone! Play by the rules and everyone can win!

      • Karmah60

I saw that in my store too, several times.  That's why I was wondering how people go about getting more than one card, since the coupons are tied in I don't see how they're getting 3+ carts of stuff – nor why they'd need to since doubles lasts for a bit.  They can come back another day like the rest of us.

I'm starting to see how the rule breakers are affecting couponing in general, and I hate it.  Just today I went to Walgreens and they took my Huggies coupon out of my infant care book when I bought wipes because it came down from corporate to do so now that people were simply walking in and using the codes without the coupons (abusing the system).  I'm usually a live and let live kind of person who minds my own business, but when it starts affecting ME, then I'm mad.

      • Christy

HOw was it only .08? Im new to couponing and trying to learn..im only 23 and im just buying my first house and planning a wedding and trying to learn to save money—help!!!

      • guest

I don't if she 4 cards no matter how many children she bring into the store with her….. It's 1 card per household…

    • Swtsouthngrl

This was the first time shopping at ANY of my local HT's that I felt the cashier was rude to me because of my coupons. I was trying to use my Mueller's Whole Grain pasta coupon from the insert (not printed), and it was beeping. It wasn't expired, and I had purchased the whole grain linguine. At first he said it was saying I had already used it before, and made it sound like I was trying to cheat the system. He wasn't even going to call customer service to over ride it until I insisted. I tried to explain that it wasn't a printable coupon… but clipped from the newspaper, and it wasn't even possible for me to have already used!!  And then he spent 5 minutes examining all of my other coupons!

The only good thing about the trip was that I went after 9am, and still got all the deals I wanted.

      • CouponFairy

There's one cashier that works at my HT at 7 in the morning on Wednesdays when all the sales starts and she isn't very good at all, I can't believe they have her there on the starting day of sales.  If a coupon beeps…she just hands it right back and says “can't take it, it's not working”.  If her system isn't doubling coupons like they should be, she just says “well they must not be able to be doubled”  and if prices ring up wrong she says “well, it's 1.99, that's what the computer says”.  LOL.  Some people get burn out trying to keep up with sales…sales I can keep up with, what I get burnt out from is arguing with cashiers about their own coupon policy!  Truly, it exhausts me each week and sometimes I get anxious entering a store, because I just know something is going to go wrong.  And they think I'm “new to couponing”  Nope, been doing it for years, and I take some serious time planning my deals and matchups and learning/keeping up with every store's coupon policy.  Wish they would be nicer sometimes…they get so mad about the coupons, but if they would know their policies better and the systems worked right…using coupons should never be such an issue.

        • CouponFairy

Oh…moral of story (LOL) is don't be discouraged.  We ALL run into this…many of us EVERY time we shop LOL.

          • Cheryl

I don't run into that… not at Harris Teeter. I have at another store, FL, and I quit shopping there. I am not spending my hard earned money at a store that doesn't appreciate my business, even if I do coupon. Like they say, “it's better in my pocket than theirs”… and I love the people that work there. They smile, they assist, and they even give away $1 off coupons… but you gotta smile too. Go in with a smile and leave with a smile! :-)

        • Cheryl

If the sale starts at 7:00 am, don't get there so early. LOL

        • tk

Complain to the store manager.  you should never have these kind of problems.  I had an issue once with a rude CSM and I called the GM and now the GM greets me by name everytime I shop and really does a great job at making me feel like my business is greatly appreciated!

      • Kcreviews

My Mueller's coupon beeped, too, and the cashier told me that those never go through. He and the manager were very courteous to me and pushed it through, since they had had previous experience with that one not working.

        • Orgainze me!

It doesn't work because it exceeds the value, that's what they told me at least and they over-rode the transaction and let me have it as well.  They will normally only do this for “real” coupons, not the printable ones

          • Cheryl

Harris Teeter is a customer friendly store.

        • Cheapstuff

same here – I used two Mueller's coupons and before the cashier even tried to scan them, she told me that they were going to beep and that she would have to call the CSM over.  She was very knowledgeable and seemed to know that Mueller's coupons always cause trouble.  She and the CSM very very nice and put them right through.  And, by the way, the whole grain pasta IS ON SALE and that's what I used the coupon for.

      • Carrieluvsgreg

The coupon also says in very tiny print, do not double.  I would never have seen it on my own, but the pasta only costs .35 with a $1 off, so I didn't think it was a big deal.

        • Cheryl

Please don't use coupons that say “do not double” unless you tell the cashier not to double them… the manufacturer's do not pay the store for doubling on those. It cost the stores and it costs us all in the long run. I just don't use them.

          • tk

            Cheryl,
I posted above ad I'll let you know that stores do NOT get reimbursed EVER for doubled coupons.  They only get the FACE value everytime.  if you dont believe me, ask your store manager.

          • SarahxNC

Yes, I made my first rookie mistake w/ the Mueller’s coupon. I went in knowing that I was going to get it for $.79. But when I was at the register, the coupon beeped. The manager came over & said they had to manually key it in all day. I thought that was odd that it doubled but I paid my bill & then asked about it. Since I am new to couponing & super doubles I asked if they double every coupon even if it says not to. The manager didnt realize it said Do Not Double, then said she would have to fix that. So sorry to all the people that shop at the HT in Cornelius that wanted to use that one! Feel bad that the store has to eat the cost on all of those boxes of pasta for the day.

      • Cheryl

The whole grain was not on sale this time. You should have used the coupons for the “regular” pasta. That was not the cashier's fault. It “rang” because you did not purchase what was on the coupon. The new coupons are very good. You do have to read the coupons and the product. I love Mueller's. I got two boxes today and I have 2 coupons left and I'm going to get two more this week! Pasta is good for you and it's a bargain price. :-)

    • karen

      Great Job

    • Orgainze me!

There is another deal not mentioned in the 3 lists here, Pillsbury Egg Scrambles were in my ad 2 for $4 and there was a printable coupon on the Pillsbury site, $1.10/1 which makes them free :)

      • Cheryl

Tell them to call another store and get them for you. They will. They are customer friendly and will help you purchase what you need.

      • Cpnorris0512

That was a great deal…I got 3 boxes free today.  Love it!!!

        • Anniescott114

how did you get 3? those were internet coupons and HT’ policy says only 2 internet coupons per transaction. This is why couponers are getting more and more crap lately. The rules are not getting followed.

    • Kcreviews

The only thing I noticed that was out of stock today at 7:45am was the Smart Balance 2% and 1% milk. Those always go out immediately.

I used all my 20 doubles and will be back later this week to use some more.

      • Cheryl

the pillsbuy refrigerated sweet bites as well as the egg biscuits were out at my store, but I am going again! Tell them and they'll get them for you. You have to speak up. Keep in mind this is a busy time for those that work at the stores, but they are never too busy to assist you in what you need to purchase. Harris Teeter is such a customer friendly, not to mention, clean store! I love shopping there!

    • Kwilcenski

I don't think these “unadvertised deals” actually work at my Harris Teeter.  I've tried to get these a couple of times and the items always ring up full price and I can't really say ” well it should be this price…”

      • Guest

check shelf price first.  sometimes my store has the unad sales, sometimes not, but it should be marked on the shelf.

        • Karmah60

But that's hard to go by on Weds, when they change the shelving stickers.  They were just getting around to changing them at 7 or 8ish.  I had to ask an employee more than once if something was on sale, because the shelves weren't yet marked.  They have a weekly sale / stock / pricing sheet available they can refer to if you have questions.  The guy went in the back and got it for me.

          • Diane

I have the same problem at my store added to the fact that my area very rarely gets smart source coupons….

        • Cheryl

And if they ring it up other than the shelf price, you get it free! Read the policy.

      • Cheryl

Oh yes you can say!! Today, I purchased 2 Soft Scrub cleansers that Jenny advertised to us for $2.65. They rang up at $3.99 each and they were tagged as that. So I asked the cashier to check because I was watching and the manager came over and I got one for free and the other one at the correct price. Check out the “coupon policy” on the HT website.. It mentions “ring dings” as I call the miss-rings… HTH!!

    • DukeBlueDevilFan

Does anyone get good evic coupons? Today was my first day of receiving the evic coupons and it said that they go by what I buy at HT and I got some vitamins I've never bought,  some feminine products I have never bought and a bunch of other garbage that I have never bought.  The only evic coupon I could use was a b1g1 Kraft veggie pasta mac an cheese.  Just wondered if anyone else encountered the same problem as I did today or if it will get better!!!

      • Carrieluvsgreg

I got a GREAT deal today with the addition of an eVic coupon.  The Gillette Body Wash is on sale for $2.99, I had the $2 manufacturer coupon, plus a $2 eVic, so they paid me a  dollar to take it from the store!!!

        • Cpnorris0512

THanks for the tip…I'm going to do this tomorrow….

      • Cheryl

Don't buy what you don't use or give away to charity. The pasta was a steal though, huh? I got the Kraft Veggie pasta for free with my two (2) coupons. :-)

        • Angela

Where did you find the Kraft Veggie mac and cheese coupon?  I didn't see it in the database.  Thanks!

          • tk

the veggie mac is a HT E-vic coupon, you wont find it in the database.  You have to load it onto your vic card online.

            • Angela

I have the e-vic one loaded, but there must be a manufacturer one to go with it — several people have mentioned getting 2 boxes free.    Thanks!!

            • DukeBlueDevilFan

I think the coupon others are talking about are coming out of the Kraft family booklet…If you find out where to get one let me know…I hear they have really good coupons in there…ALSO if anyone hasn’t gotten the home made simple booklet go online to http://www.homemadesimple.com and register for it.  It is free and comes in the mail. It was so many mr.clean, febreze, dawn, swiffer, and cascade coupons in it.  Everything I got was under a dollar and there was some things that ended up being free!!

            • Tk

yes, but they are hard to find in my experiences.

          • DukeBlueDevilFan

It was an evic coupon I received in my email today…go online and sign up if you haven't already…supposedly HT goes by what you purchase through your vic card so you should receive coupons on items you buy. I'm hoping mine will be better Friday!

        • DukeBlueDevilFan

I was just hoping that since they go by what i buy that I would get something good like laundry detergent, cleaning products,  pasta, body wash or deoderant…instead a got depends briefs, oscal and fish oil vitamins and lots of baby stuff.  I do not have kids yet:) and I am 30 so I dont need those vitamins or the depends briefs!  Maybe Friday will be better? But yes the kraft mac and cheese was a great deal…wish evic coupons were transferable because I know someone could use it!!

    • Crystschee

went to HT in west ashley and got some good deals but they would not double the KLONDIKE  bar coupon/ 1.00 off one in bi-lo gold star meat booklet. was told they would not double because they were unilever coupons… did anybody else have this problem

      • Cheryl

I make it a habit not to use any coupon that says “DO NOT DOUBLE”. Reason is, sometimes times the cashier will double it anyway, and yes, it might save us money, but it does cost the store because the manufacturers do not pay the store double… so it costs us all in the long run. I'm lazy and don't have time for the coupons that don't double or the ones that say “save $ if you buy that”.. I just skip that and go with the easy ones for the cashiers… that way we all win!

        • TK

Stores do not get reimbursed for the double amount.  The manuf only gives them the face value of the coupon.  Stores offer “double” coupons to get you into their store rather than going to another store.  I say if the computer doubles it, then let it be.  it's the store's fault!  I think it's stupid for coupons to be allowed to state Do not double.  Remember, if a coupon barcode starts with a “5”, it will double (unless the cashier manually enters in the code and stops the doubling) if  barcode starts with a “9”, it will never double.  HTH

          • Crystschee

so do all unilever coupons begin with the “5” or “9”  I have other coupons that say unilever on the bottom of them but they do not begin with the 5 or 9.

            • Tk

If the coupon does not begin with a 5 or 9 (which is the case on some of the newer ones), it should double for you as long as it doesnt state “do not double”.  if you are experiencing problems, just check with your store management to get clarification.

      • couponing mama

Mine doubled and my cashier went through all my coupons before hand to make sure they all could be doubled. no where on my coupons did it say ” Do not double” so it doubled.

    • Ladykattt

thank you!!! I went to ht this morning bought $183.39 only paid $75.98 that's a 59% savings…and it's all because a few of my friends introduced this website to me…thanks you all of you time!!!

    • Allison

I went at 3AM and spent 3 hours shopping around.. the manager working went ahead and checked me out at 6 because I was the first customer so I didn't have to sit around for an hour! I got $154 in merchandise for $23 :) GIVE US ANOTHER TRIPLE COUPONS EVENT, PLEASE!!!!!

    • guest

I dont understand what the numbers in ( ) mean. Also does it double $1 coupons or not?? it seems on some of the examples she shows the coupons as doubled and some not. I dont understand how the lysol 28 count ends up as 79 cent, can someone help???

      • Guest

That is is the price for one on sale.  So the Lysol is $1.79 (each).  The coupon is $1 off of 2, which doubles, when you buy 2.  It makes it $.79 for each one.

    • Fmahlum

Use the $1 off Method cleaning product, SS 6/19 and Method dish soap is reduced for VIC members to $1.99. So it's free!

    • Guest

Lots of stuff was out of stock at my store. I 'saved' $50 dollars according to the cashier, but I doubt that. I didn't get much for $38. I used 18 coupons and got 22 items, most of it was CANDY. Just small packs of candy, that should of been free. Harris Teeter has prices so expensive already.
Most everything I /needed/ was out of stock. I hate when people think they have to get something JUST because its a good deal, and end up hoarding everything. Why can't people leave stuff for everyone else? :( :( :(

      • Karmah60

I only grabbed one of each thing on my list.  The limits are tough, but there for a reason.  That's why I'm going back on Friday to get another of each item.

      • Cheryl

You should prepare and make your lists ahead of time. I went today with 3 or 4 lists and I used only 18 coupons. I got:
        2 Arnolds sandwich thins
2 Soft Scrub w/ bleach cleansers
        2 Reach dental floss
2 Kettle Chips (nobody is out of those ever)
        2 7th generation towels
        1 McCain Potato
        1 Nature Valley thins
        2 Mueller's pasta
        2 cans organic tomatoes
a bag of salad mix and a couple other things w/o coupons and I spent…

$16.00  I am happy about that… I share with my son. I share with my co-workers… I call it “sharing the savings”.. :-)

Jenny, thank you again for all you do for us!!

        • Cheryl

Oh, I forgot to mention that I had (2) $1.50 coupons for Milo Kitchen treats… I got two of them for .45 each for my little dawg. :-)

      • DONT GET IT TWISTED

I am so tired of people thinking that HT is out of stuf because people are hoarding. People buy items because they need them, the same as you. HT knows this will happen and need to come up with a better stocking plan when this happens. publix is just as good but they have people stocking almost all day. dont blame the customer blame the stupid store.just think it only takes ten items to empty a shelpf sometimes. ten people ten items. you are eleven. no item,.RAINCHECK you can find a better coupon value. HT rainchecks never expire.

        • Ceeska

Rainchecks are the best – I often save them for a couponing promo (like triples or super doubles) and then I really get a great deal!  I probably get 1 raincheck at least on any given week I shop at HT.  As long as I don't desperately need the item that week, it's actually hardly an inconvenience other than my time spent.

      • guest

Quit whining about people shopping. HT limits each trip to 3 of an item. No reason to think people are hoarding everything, buying an item JUST because it is a good deal – and be unreasonable enough to expect to not shop and leabe stuff on a shelf so that you can shop whenever you want. Arrive earlier, if you can't know that others no doubt will.

        • Jenjcakes

“arrive early” is kind of a mean comment.. some people like me, can't go to the store at 7am because mu husb takes the only car we have to go to work, as soon as he finish working I have the children ready to head up to HT and find nothing but clean shelves… I find it very dissapointing.

        • Tylersmommy1219

I buy things “just because it's a good deal” alot of the time.  I mean, it may not be a product that I would typically purchase, but if I'm getting it for free or close to free, I'm going to buy it anyway.  No reason not to try new products or if it's something you wouldn't actually use yourself you can always donate it.

    • brie

Also you can use the 7th Generation coupon to buy tissues, they are $1.50 and the coupon is $1.00 so they are free :)

      • Karmah60

The paper towels are free with the coupon also

        • Cheryl

I got two of the paper towels for free. :-)

      • EB

the hand soap is also free with the coupon

    • C_yattaw

I had a good day at Harris Teeter. I got 120.00 dollars worth of groceries for 39.00. I wish they were not out of smart balance milk though, I will keep checking though. Overall a great shopping trip!!

    • Beckyg21

Ok so I have to ask… Only sale items are listed here right? I have been reading all the post and am wondering where  I missed the soft scrub deal? How do you know the prices of the items before you go to the store? I want to be prepared but am a little confused  please help with any and all suggestions thanks!

      • Deal Diva

Use the Express Lane function on the HT website.  It allows you to look up any item in at your local HT , along with the prices. Jenny usually has 3 lists posted. One of sale items and the others of unadvertised deals.

    • Linda

ok I dont know what happened but I went with my list and my HT said it was mostly mistakes.  I just ended up with basicly nothing.  going to quit HT.

      • Judy- NC

It's a good idea to check your print out here with your flyer from your HT.and other markets you shop at..sometimes things on sale in one area are not on sale in your area…I found that out when I first started out couponing…i.e. thought some things were BIGI and instead it was on sale for 4 for $5…embarassing to say the least…

Remember that the best deals on HT super doubles are your $1.00 and $1.50 coupons…regardless if what's on the coupon is on sale…great if it is but good deal even if it isn't on sale. Don't get discouraged but try it again…check your local against what you want to buy…Good Luck, Judy

      • MomOf4

I've been checking the Express Lane shopping list ony my store's website.  That way, I nkow the prices before hand.  A little more work, but worth it!

        • Karawtn

I do the exact same thing.  I use Jenny's list as a general guide, then I make my list from my personal store's express lane.  Any price variations or Q variations I can check before I go so no surprises.  Agreed, a little more work but worth it in the end.  Little shout out to my local Mountain Island NC HT – all items still in stock at 11 am yesterday and stockers working feverishly to restock even more.  GREAT JOB GUYS!!!

    • lowes91

How do you all get the really great deals??..I went and got the things that were B1G1 and used coupons and still spent 23.00..the original total was 68.00..do you buy just 1 of the B1G1 deals?..please help I am on a limited budget and I am new to this, my hubby is the only one working so any suggestions would be nice..thanks for the info..love this site!..also im not sure how the super dbls work..does it mean that if you have a 1.00 coupon it becomes 2..isnt that just dbling??..Maybe im confused..please help.

      • qdude

Normally, HT only doubles coupons that are .98 or less.  So for Super Doubles, they will double any coupon that is 1.98 or less.
As for your shopping results. Your results are fairly good if you think about it.  You saved around 66% off your bill.  Most people are doing well to save that percentage every trip to the store.  Now, it is just a matter of saving percentage on a larger trip total.  Don't get caught up in the extreme couponing show, thinking that your not doing well if you didn't get $2,000 of Ramen Noodles and Tang for free.  Read this site, get your coupons, watch the sales and you will be fine.

        • Tylersmommy1219

Yeah, because that Extreme Couponing show is exagerated!  Pretty much every reality show on tv now is fake!  There is no way they go into those stores and buy that many of one item and use a coupon for it!

          • Karmah60

I LOL at that show.  It's not even close to reality.  You can't tell me they can just waltz into a store with absolutely no limits, and then pay 2 dollars for 800 worth of chinese noodles without any taxes at all.  If you believe all of that, I have a bridge I can sell you too.  Name the price.  I have a feeling the out of pocket expenses ended up on the cutting room floor, because it has to be dramatic to keep you from turning the channel.

          • Ceeska

Exactly.  Whenever I see people's pics of their grocery haul, it's almost entirely cereal, Hamburger Helper, crackers, spaghetti sauce, etc.  Rarely do I see a pic of a great haul that includes “real” food like fruits & veggies, milk, meat, etc.

Sure, on many products you can save insane amounts of money, but once you count in the healthy staples that you also have to buy (which are rarely deeply discounted and/or have coupons) the OVERALL savings are actually a little more modest than some extreme couponers would like you to believe.

      • Angelahamlet

Like qdude said, you did really well. 66% percent is great. How much you save depends on what you buy. Plan Your trip so you know what it will cost before you leave. Use the online shopping at HarrisTeeter.com to help determine you local store’s prices. But do not get caught up in thinking that you will save 80% and 90% all of the time. If you do you will be disppointed and not appreciate the savings you do obtain. Please remember any savings benefits you and your family.

      • Amy

On the B1G1 deals, you can use a coupon on each one. They each ring up half price. So if you don't have a coupon for both, you might only want to get one of them.

      • Teagynsmum

i still spent about $36 but i got $100 worth of items and i got 39 items which is less than $1 each. you still did a good job

      • Ceeska

I would not worry so much about the deep discounts some people get.  I have rarely gotten better than 60% off my whole bill even on a great couponing day.  One reason is that my newspaper inserts are not as good as some other areas, but the bigger reason is that my cart is full of meat, milk, eggs, fruit & veggies – all things that you rarely get coupons for and they're almost never on a B1G1 deal.  If I removed those items from my total, I'd probably be saving 80-90% off my bill on all the other groceries.

$23 OOP for $68 worth is still a fabulous haul!  Good for you :)

    • qdude

Well….I can live with my results. Paid $83 for a full price total of $194.  My HT was fairly well stocked.  Only got a couple rain checks.  Going back soon to take advantage of more coupons to double.

    • Jwalker317

Does anyone have an extra amount of Turkey Hill Iced Tea coupons that they are willing to mail me?  I would gladly reciprocate with any coupons you may need that i have.  Let me know! Thanks!

      • NCcouponer

What insert are they in? I'd be happy to mail you any that I have. My email address is apbergwa@gmail.com

      • brie

I would give you mine too, just email me your address! :) I have 3 I think, I may be able to get more. chickflick1b@aol.com just put turkey hill coupons in the title.

      • shanna

hi, i actually went on ebay and bought my turkey hill coupons, but i guess you need them now. i have used mine but ebay is a good place to find coupons

      • Kim Smith

please email me where to find them
        kimjasonsmith @ hotmail dot com
There are a few I am looking for.

      • coupon dad

you can call Turkey Hill customer service or go to their page and email them and they will mail you coupons once a month..pretty good ones too

    • Ivey Godfrey

Will the coupons out of the register double?

      • Judy- NC

        No.

    • Judy- NC

I always take two envelopes of coupons and two lists…one of the things I need and a second for items I need but my first envelope has 20 coupons in it..which is the max number I can use on super double. It takes a little bit more time but well worth it in the end.

    • Klbarnes28

      • Sparen_und _nix_zahlen

Just like Brooke I did it 2 hours ago.
         I bought:

        2 Desinfecting wipes (3.59) B1G1
        4 Bathroom cleaner (3.39) B1G1
        4 Toilet bowl cleaner (2.99) B1G1
        2 Neutra air spray (5.99) B1G1
        = 22.34
        – $5 instant off
        – coupons ($14 off)
        = 3.34 for 12 products!

      • guest

Sadly – went to the store today and there were only big empty shelves…the only Lysol product left on the shelf were 2 containers of the wipes:(  If I had a Harris Teeter closer to home I would have gone sooner, but its over an hour away & I happened to be headed that way today on another errand – so no lysol deal for me:(

    • MomOf4

Just a heads up, it seems like all of the P&G eVIC coupons are resetting after you use them.  It's worked for me for the Gillette bodywash, Tide, Oral B toothbrushes & floss and Crest.  Making for some great repeat visits…

      • shanna

it has worked for me as well. i have gotten so many of the oral b battery toothbrushes, if you combine the evic 3.00 coupon with the 3.00 paper coupon the toothbrush is only .99.

    • Karmah60

Grr, I wanted those Weber grill creations badly.  I saw them on clearance at my HT so I tossed a couple to my cart.  Later, getting ready to check out, I looked for the coupons in my binder and realized that stupid inserts gave us Sauer's and Emeril's spices instead of Weber.   I also have Duncan Hines mixes instead of Pilsbury.  Old El Paso shells instead of Ortega.  Pretty much the opposite of many things on sale.  I hate regional differences. :/

    • SaraNOVA

Went to my HT yesterday and got some great unadvertised deals! I live in Northern VA so the stores aren't typically too crowded and the shelves were still well-stocked. I came across 2 unexpected Freebies that I thought I'd share with everyone!
FREE Athenos Greek Yogurt (with fruit) – printable coupon on facebook if you like Athenos for $1 off 2 Athenos Greek Yogurts. They're on sale at my HT $4/$4 so they're free. You can print up to 2 coupons for 4 free yogurts!
FREE Ortega brand taco seasoning packets. On Ortega's website, they have a promotional coupon for print. $1 off any two Ortega products. The taco seasonings are $.99/each at my HT. I was able to print 2 coupons for $1 off 2 and got 4 free taco seasoning packets!
      Happy Savings!

      • tk

Thanks for the Ortega deal!  I will def get some free taco seasoning!

      • Candikane02

        thanks for sharing!

      • Allison

Thank you so much for sharing the yogurt deal!!

    • Stacda

I am offically loving you guys this tool is awesome.  I am trying to learn to save and you really are my savings grace!!!!   Thank you very much!!!

    • Durhamrn

I had a $5 deduction for buying Kelloggs/Keebler products. I'm not sure how many I needed to buy to get that dedection. With the coupons that I super-doubled, my Mini-Wheats were $0.99/box!!!

    • Day 2_ I spent $17 and saved $78.94 plus I have $6.00 in Catalinas to use tomorrow.  I did the Degree Catalina deal.  They are on sale for $3.00 each.  I bought 4 and used 4 doubled $1.00 coupons bringing them to $1.00 each.  Then the $4.00 catalina printed making all 4 free.

      • Guest

Sorry if this is on here…but do the Catalinas count in the total coupons…for example, if I have 20 coupons and two Catalinas, can I still use them?   Or do I have to put two coupons away for another day?  Thanks!…I got the Degree deal, too!  Yea!

        • NitaRoyal

If the catalinas are too high to double, then use them in addition to the 20 you want to have doubled.  At HT the only limit is on doubling…otherwise, you can actually use as many coupons as you want.

          • Guest

            Thanks!

      • EB

The degree catalinas are printing even if you buy 4 of the travel sized ones and the coupons do not exclude the travel size – it becomes a money maker after catalina.

        • Margoren

I did this the other day and it worked. Tried it today and it didn't, I used the catalina from the degree from when it did worked, along with 20 other coupons. Could that have been the problem? Is it like Walgreens where you can't use a catalina to get the same deal?

        • Guest

I got them, too.  Thanks for the information!

      • Cheryl K

Wish I could get this deal, but my store only allows 3 like coupons.

        • You’re only using two like coupons for this deal.

    • Allison

This might have been mentioned on here already (too tough to read through 300 comments),  but if you like McCains Potatoes on Facebook, it prints a $1 coupon off their Purely Potatoes, which are B1G1 right now. They ring up half price, so you will get them free with the coupon! I got mine this morning. Also, a heads up that if you buy Gillette body wash or skin care items, used the insert coupons and link the e-vic coupons, and you will earn $1 overage from each product to use on the rest of your purchases!

      • Margoren

Thanks, I just got mine today. Having them for dinner tonight!

    • Lindseymhelms

Can I just say that it is everyone's personal right, and prerogative if they chose to (1) spend the time to cut, organize, and plan shopping trips and (2) get up early, take the bus, or whatever other sacrifice they make to get great deals, the best deals, or just the stuff they need. I can confidently say that there aren't many “Krazy coupon ladies” out there, buying 5,000 boxes of cereal just to be on an overdramatic, sensationalized TV show! If I happen to get to Harris Teetes and shelves are “cleared,” then oh well, there was an earlier bird who got the worm! It happens to everyone! You win some and lose some! This isn't the welfare line (no offense) these aren't handouts and couponing takes work! If you put the work in, you get the deal most of the time! I just can't see the point in crying over missed free refried beans, even if you are a single parent, lost your job, car broke down, get to work at 6am, midnight, WHATEVER! Suck it up, realize it IS just dental floss, and please quit crying!!

    • Aunttammy2000

Any one have a problem with the Garnier Fructis Hair Care coupons from 7-24 doubling. At my store they would not double. They stated it was because the way the barcode was formatted. It is not like most I've seen that have the stand alone barcode that starts with a 5 or 9.

      • Guest

Umm…YES. Didn't even catch it.  Did they fix it?  I just got mine today.

        • Guest

I did this twice.  Missed it the first time, and the second time, thanks to this post, told the cashier and she manually entered it!  They fixed the first one when I brought my reciept back in and pointed it out.

    • NitaRoyal

I just have to pay tribute to my couponing hero. I've seen her several times in my store, pushing a severely handicapped child in an extended wheelchair that's longer than the cart.  With the other hand, she's pulling the cart, and she is couponing.  So I cannot imagine complaining when the store is out of something. . . seems so trivial in comparison.  I wish all good blessings to this special child, and very special mother, for always helping me to keep things in perspective.

    • Ilike2coupon2

Two days of shopping so far and I got $212.10 worth of stuff for $20.51.

      • Sue

        Good Job!

    • Guest

Does anyone know what the Catalinas for the Degree DO are supposed to be?  I bought 6 and used 1/2.  My catalina didn't print for that or for the Hamburger Helper so I am going back to ask since no one was working the service desk before 7am.  Thanks!

      • Margoren

My degree catalina did not print either.

        • Guest

I went back and asked them.  THey said that the Catalina people were aware of the problem.  And I asked what I should do.  She said the only thing she could do was give me a cash refund.  I said I would take credit, but they don't offer that.  She was sincerelly nice.  I also had trouble with another reciept that did not take my Garnier off (or double).  They fixed that, too.  I have actually had a few problems being overcharged and let them slide, but decided to ask about it this time.  They took care of it.

        • Mine didn't either. I called the Catalina number. It's good to know that I wasn't the only one whose didn't print.

    • Teresa

I'm not sure how many people got the $1.50 off any Quorn product (I buy a lot of meatless products) with the latest Kroger points coupons that were mailed in August but if you did then you can get this for free with the $3 off electronic coupon that recently came available on the HT website.  Even if you don't have the paper coupon $3 off is a good deal if you typically buy this stuff.

    • Melissa R

Not sure if someone has posted about this already, but when I made my Harris Teeter run, I actually got a deal not listed here.  Recently there was a coupon for Kettle Chips to take $1.00 off.  These chips are running 2/$5 this week (at least at my store) so I ended up getting a big bag of them for $.50.  Great guilty pleasure for a hungry pregnant woman like me!

      • NitaRoyal

I was wondering if those coupons hadn't come out in the local paper, because I've bought 3 bags every evening, and the shelves are loaded!  (I got my coupons in a different state last week, so thought it might have been a regional thing.)  But my son is sure happy!

        • Mystery8girl

If you go to coupons.com and use the zip 90210, they have additional $1/1 coupons there as well…I love the ranch flavor

    • CCShad

I was happy to find my store completely restocked this morning at 9am, even the freebie Soft Scrub gels were back on the shelf.  Don't give up if you have not had a chance to get there yet!

    • I'm kind of late shopping this week, so some one may have already mentioned this…I shop at Harris Teeter in Greensboro, NC.  They have a special that isn't advertised in the flyer where you buy 2 Smart Balance butters and you get 1 half gallon of Smart Balance milk for FREE!! Not to mention the $1 off coupon that doubles to $2 off the butter!!  And I just want to give props to the Harris Teeter because I actually made a mistake on one of the prices on my shopping trip, but to say thank you for shopping there, they corrected it anyway!

      • I accidentally posted under my husband's profile! Sorry guys! It's actually Lindsay posting! :)

        • MomOf4

Did you buy all 3 items together  or does a coupon rings up with the butter?

    • Ann_e97

I was wondering when using a coupon that states $1/4 do I have to buy all four items?

      • CCShad

yes, you do have to get the 4 items.

        • Ann_e97

          oh ok tnx

    • Ann_e97

Does Harris Teeter take dollar general coupons?

      • Jofreiheit

No, I had a 1.25 off one dive deodorant and they wouldn't accept it

    • MissLC81

Frustrating shopping trip at the Harris Teeter #0136 (9600
Falls of the Neuse Rd. Raleigh, NC) I usually shop at the HT in Chapel Hill or
the one of Leesville Rd, but I stopped at this one since it’s the closest to my
house and on my way home. Big mistake! For the second time in 10 days, one of
the managers harassed me because of my coupon use. (1st problem) When
I first got the register, he “warned” the cashier. (2nd problem) As
I am checking out, he feels the need to bring over the coupon policy poster. I
informed him that I know and understand the coupon policy well and I was doing
nothing wrong. (3rd problem) He accused me of using copied internet
coupons since I had 2. I informed him that was not the case; I showed him that
they had 2 different barcode numbers and that most of the time you can print up
to 2 coupons. (4th problem) I purchased 2 boxes of Mueller “regular”
macaroni elbow pasta since HT does not carry the Mueller whole grain macaroni
elbow pasta. They did not want to honor the “ like item” policy. (5th
      problem) I purchased 4 Tide Travel Pack (3/pk) for $1 and I have 4 $1 coupons.
They did not want to accept the 4th coupon, even though their policy
is to honor the coupon at face value after 3 coupons. A 25 minute shopping trip
ended up taking an hour because the HT managers do not know their own policies.
I had to show three managers what their coupon policy actually said. Their
response “I will have to look into this, since that is not what Corporate is
telling us to do.” HT is my favorite grocery store but it seems like this store
      is operating like a Walmart…

      • Ky's Mom 2

Will you call coporate to make a complaint. I was just there yesterday and had no problems at all.

      • Judy- NC

You really should call corporate. I had almost the same thing happen to my husband at our Chocowinity Food Lion..it seems the managers are rotated fairly often and the manager that knew us had been replaced by this manager, who quite frankly, was a real jerk. This guy insulted my husband, so in in-turn he called corporate and the fur did fly…the manager called my husband to apologize, which my hubby accepted but in a return trip that manager was replaced with a much more helpful and polite manager. If corporate gets complaints especially from their shoppers (who by the way are their bread and butter), they usually act quickly.

Good luck and be sure to tell the story the way you told us…I can guarantee you that HT Corporate will act quickly…

        • Shirley

LOL on calling Corporate… but you really should call or email them if the stores give you a hard time. I emailed Corporate one time and now, the managers just look at me when I come in with a list and an envelope of coupons. They look at me like I'm getting ready to steal the store, LOL.. I hope they don't hate me. But I get really great customer service for everyone in the stores. I also purchase my usual items w/o coupons, so I don't get everything w/ a coupon. This was the first time I used 18 coupons in one visit and was nice saving all that money!  Thanks to Jenny for helping me prepare. :-)

        • leena

unfortunately, I have tried contacting their cstomer service whose voicemail is FULL and hasnt responded to my email since Friday and it has been 4 days already…..

    • Wendyk28054

Well, just got  back from my first trip.  Of course, all the really low priced stuff was gone, as I expected, but I saved $36 with coupons, which is the highest savings with coupons so far.  It was amusing to see so many people lugging around these heavy binders.  I saw one poor elder woman drop hers all over the floor, and I felt very sorry for her.  I don't know why people don't take the time to pull their coupons before they go to the store.. :-/ But feel like I did very well for a beginner!

      • NitaRoyal

Glad you did well  – success does get addictive!  As for binders, I can only say why I bother to carry mine.  Because half the time, the deals I want are gone, so I look for other items.  Plus, if I find a great clearance deal, I hate to know that I had that coupon in the car, or at home!  I tried working without it, but with stock so sporadic, I find that I get much better results when I take it.

      • CCShad

This method helps me – I take my binder, but have pulled all the coupons I plan to use and have them in the front.  All of my coupons are in plastic page pouches (usually used for baseball cards) and the first few sheets have the coupons I plan to use that day.  Then if I come across a surprise deal, I can look to my other coupons.

        • Mywolfcubs3

I do the same specially since u don't know if they are going to be sold out of what u pulled

      • Judy- NC

I also carry my binder with me for exactly the same reasons…in fact, yesterday while at HT's, I was in good company with several other shoppers with their books wide open…sometimes there are unadvertised specials in my store that I run across and it's always nice to have the coupon with you rather than go to the car or have to come back again.

    • Scolbe2

I have a question about sales tax on total amount purchased.  Yesterday, I went to Target and purchased some items and noticed that sales tax was applied to the total amount before coupons not after. Why does this happen?  Today I went to Harris Teeter and the sales tax was applied to the total amount after coupons/discounts.. Both purchases included perishable and non-perishable items

    • NitaRoyal

Does anyone know if the lysol $5 off deal can be done more than once?  I just did this today, and am wondering if it is limited to once per card.  Thanks

      • Guest

You can do it more than once. I was able to.

      • Ohicks70

        what is the deal

    • asandwick

I am not sure where to post this but….. I have a huge stack of coupons that I would like to give to someone local. I am in Troutman (Between Mooresville & Statesville)NC. I clipped everything I wanted and have about 1/4-1/3 of all the coupons in the Charlotte observer for the past month. There are 4 of each one. I am way too tired to go throuth them to answer questions about which ones are in there…..but if someone is interested and lives locally I would love you to have them instead of tossing them.
      Thanks!!

      • Tylersmommy1219

I am from Taylorsville NC and could maybe meet you in Statesville.  Is that too far away?  Email me at tylersmommy1219@yahoo.com plz.

      • Saharen2004

I would LOVE the coupons….e-mail me at
        saharen2004@yahoo.com
I live in cornelius right down the street and due to sick kids I missed some coupons this past month….your wonderful
Hope to hear from you soon

    • Lopezshopping

Weird… several of the HT sales listed on this spread or others for this week weren't actually on sale or priced differently.  Dawn dish soap at my HT wasn't on sale.  Also, ALL Chef Boyardee were on sale for $1.00 per can instead of B1G1 for Ravioli's.  Cracker Creations also weren't on sale at all.  And Classico sauce was regular price.  There were some other things too that weren't.  Still made out with a decent deal overall, but was rather disappointed with some of the items I was ready to get with coupons I had bought.  Lol!

      • Judy- NC

It's always a good idea to check your printed list from this site against your local ad…there will be differences in locations… as I have found several times….

      • guest

Not weird – normal. Store ads vary, you need to help yourself and check your HT for pricing.

      • NitaRoyal

Yes, I keep getting excited about those Lance Cracker Creations, but every time the deal comes around, my store still doesn't carry them.  Oh well, at least we'll have enough Lysol products that the house should smell really clean ;-)

    • staci

Awesome deals at harris teeter, love that free V8!! I live in virginia beach, and so I travel past the 3 harris teeters near my house, to the beach, which also has a harris teeter. These people are so nice! Mostly because they have to be kind to our tourists, and most tourists don't tend to coupon on their vacation so all the freebies are always fully stocked! :) But I've read alot of people having problems with their cashiers at checkout. Here's what I do, I ALWAYS go to a MALE cashier, they never give me problems. When I go to the female ones (some) act like my coupons are taking food out of their kids mouths! Also,I had an EVIC on the bottom of my last recipe for a pack of huggies for $6.99, I have a $1.50 coupon off so doubled, diapers for only $3.99 yes please! :)

      • BeachBaby

You went on a good day LOL.  That's the exact HT I use and during triples and super doubles…the stuff is GONE lol.  You musta hit them up right after restock.

        • staci

I went back today and they were still completely stocked! :)

          • Guest

What is the deal on V8

            • staci

Theres a $1.50 coupon which will double to $3.00, and they have V8 on sale for $2.99! Not the fusion, just the plain old fashion V8. :)

            • Shirley

              Where is the V8 coupon?

            • Guest

              Thanks!

            • Guest

My V8 was only .50 off…but yea for free V8

            • CouponFairy

I bought the V8 Fusion and drank some not realizing that it was over a month expired.  Great.  I'm gonna die all because of HT Super Doubles.  LOL.

    • MomOf4

Almost overything was restocked this morning!  Free McCains potateos, cheap Chobani and YoCrunch yogurt.  Great eVIC specials on waffles and diapers!  This has been my best couponing week ever!

    • Acmaginnis

This was my second time doing super doubles ever. As a newlywed, I am trying to save every dime I can, plus my husband thinks it's hilarious how excited I get about couponing :) All in all Wednesday, I spent $30.09, saved $57 using coupons and saved $22 on store specials. It was such a great experience and I can't wait until the next time. It doesn't hurt that i live in Charlotte and have 30 Harris Teeters to choose from either. Also, without this website, I would be lost and paying full price for everything, so thanks for all of the time you spend to help us out!

    • Jas

can i use an walgreens instant value coupon at harris teeter?

    • KK

So far two trips to the HT this week and I have spent $50 oop and saved around $150! This is even with getting steaks and a some of the pricier items! One deal I didnt see mentioned is the Hartz Dog Treats. They are on sale for $3.99 and there was a dollar coupon I want to say from All You (sorry do not know which issue). I also had an evic for 1.00 so .99 for dog treats, not too bad! Also it may already be listed but I also got the Pedigree breath busters treats for 1.00. On sale for 3.00, and a 1.00 off coupon from last weeks paper! My dogs are happy and I am happy! I love HT!

      • Shirley

We gotta look after our dogs who wait patiently on us while we leave home to go shop… mine always sniffs the bags when I get home to see if I got him anything. I got him a box of the Hartz Treats for 1.99 w/ the coupon. I also got him 2 pkgs of Milo Kitchen meatball treats for .45 each ( I had (2) 1.50 coupons). and i got him a bag of cesars treats – 75 little treats in that bag which were on sale for $3 and i got them for $1. So my little dog cleaned up! Great deals, Thank u, Jenny!!

    • Dreamsicles230

Does anyone know where/how to get coupons for Chobani Greek Yogurts?

    • qdude

ok…after 2 trips, I have paid $136 OOP for $403 worth of product.  The Harris Teeter in Morehead City has excellent Customer Service and maintains their shelves pretty darn good.  Also, for those that have a Food Lion close by.  I went in to get their Zyrtec special ($15 for 30 count, minus $6 mq, gets you $9 for zyrtec), and when I was checking out I was asked if I would donate $3 to the Wounded Warrior Program.  I being a veteran, agreed to donate.  After donating, the cashier gave me a $5 off $50 or more purchase.  Which of course was a pleasant surprise and something I used today at HT.  Only netted me $2, but hey that was $2 and a good donation to our injured military folks.

    • Lilublu77

Saved $61.00 spent $4.86 oop.  That lysol deal is the bees knees.  Now, if only I could find that imaginary 7th generation hand soap.  A girl can dream…

      • Shirley

LOL on that soap… I looked too for that and they were out. I got two softscrubs for free and I used a couple of the $1 7th coupons on paper towels… I still have one coupon and haven't given up on that dang soap! LOL again. :-)

      • Ohicks70

        What is the lysol deal?

        • NitaRoyal

Spend $20 on Lysol items, and it automatically takes $5 off your order.  With coupons you can get a lot of items for a net of under $4.  Scroll through these comments and you'll find several scenarios.

    • Kristie

I made the mistake of taking my husband and kids with me today while I tried to get the rest of my shopping done.  I went on Wednesday to get the eVic deal (the chips – my family loves these chips!) and ended up getting some hamburger helper, some Capri Suns and some Old El Paso tortilla stuffers.  I paid $17 – but it was originally $50 .  Not bad!  My list was pretty long, and my husband just started putting stuff in the cart, thinking that I could just whip out coupons for each and every item he put in the cart.  Um, that's not how it works, dear! :-/
Needless to say, we didn't save nearly as much this time (percentage savings), so he was mad.  I did use over $100 in coupons/savings.  I don't think we'll do this again.  He said he was disappointed that I couldn't save more, and I was frustrated that he didn't appreciate the work that went into couponing.
      ARGH!!!!

      • Judy- NC

It is extremely hard shopping alone with coupons, let along taking the entire family. My hubby did the same thing in the beginning, but now gives me time to do the shopping and he takes a seat near the front of the store….I think you did very well shopping by using over a hundred dollars in coupons/savings…don't worry you keep up the good work and remember, tomorrow is always another day….:)…

      • NitaRoyal

I also have to pull things back out of the cart, but hubby is now learning to ask “do we have a coupon for this?”  But I like taking him with me to choose flavors, find things, and help with loading the car.  So my new diversion for him is Checkpoints…I let him do the scanning and play the games for points Keeps him handy and happy and we end up with lots of gift cards for CVS.

    • Allison

Like Dannon Light and Fit on facebook, and it prints a coupon for $1 off a four pack. After doubling, you'll get the yogurt for free!

      • Shirley

I got that coupon! I plan on making one final trip tomorrow and I'm gonna get that yogurt because I eat yogurt everyday! Terrific deal. :-)

    • Goodkristen

free gain liquid dish detergent with $.50 off coupon from today's paper-detergent is $.99

    • I have gotten to the point of wanting to stop shopping at Harris Teeter. In my town, especially where the Harris Teeter is located, is the “ritzy” side of town. Couponing has become the “new black” for bored housewives in the Country Club. They are shelf cleaning like mad and it's so unfair to those of us who have been unemployed for months (sometimes years in my case) and are just trying to help my family survive. I really do wish they would instate limits on how much you could buy. I'm only looking for one or two boxes of cereal and when I get there, they are gone… while the lady with the stillettos and the $10,000 diamond ring on her finger has 100 boxes in her buggy. I'm to the point of sticking close to home and just dealing with daily savings.
Sorry for my rant but I'm just tired of it.

      • qdude

RAINCHECKS.   Go back another time.  Find ways to use these situations to your advantage.  Complaining changes nothing.  Learning and using the tools out there to your benefit does.

      • I understand your frustration but appearances are not always what they seem.  You have made a lot of assumptions about people you don't know.  If the items aren't on the shelf, get a raincheck.  They will be there later.  I would be at HT at 6 am to ensure I got the products I needed for the week if I could.  But, that doesn't work for me and a lot of other people, so the store is gracious enough to offer the rainchecks. Also, you could ask the manager what days/nights the store is restocked and plan your trip around that.  Sometimes when I am feeling bad, there is nothing like wearing a pair of heels to lift my mood, but that doesn't mean that I'm still not trying to keep my family's finances afloat.  Please don't be so quick to judge other people and just focus on the things that are in your power to change.

      • NitaRoyal

Look at the bright side:  Anyone with 100 boxes of something is only getting double their coupons on 3. . . . a rule to help everyone have a shot at the bargains.  Just be patient, and go back another time, to allow them to restock what you were looking for.  Or, my other tactic, look for items that haven't been posted on this web site yet.  The extra work often pays off, as I can usually find great unposted deals while others are making a beeline towards the “freebie” list.

      • Cookie

I hate posts like this.  Anybody and everybody can buy WHATEVER they want.  Ever occur to you that maybe she bought those stillettos for herself after being able to save money for months using coupons? If you are that hard up why on earth are you shopping at HT to begin with?  Shop at Walmart or somewhere cheaper.  People shouldn't have to walk into stores thinking “Gosh I better not by this because maybe someone else needs it more than I do”

      • Cookie

Another thing…how do you know this lady even paid with coupons?  She could be buying all that stuff and not even using coupons.

      • Bridgett

even if this person has a lot of money, they are still allowed to save money.  everyone has the right to coupon.  it's being smart.  regardless of how much money you have, why should you pay more for something if you could use a coupon and pay less.

      • bonbon

hmmm.  how do you know that's not her grandmother's ring?  or maybe her husband is in the army and got a sign on bonus and used that money to buy her that ring?  or the stillettos came from walmart or were given to her?  there's people at the welfare office all the time with iphones.  does that mean that they are rich because they have an expensive phone?  apparently not, as they are at the welfare office.

      • guest

Judegemntal attirudes like yours are what I'm tired of. You know nothing about the other shoppers, except that they follow the same rules as you. If they have 100 boxes of like cereal they are using coupons on 3 of them – just like the rest of us. I'm too old to shop in stilettos – I would like to know how shoe choice influences your judgement of others – quite small-minded.

        • geht dich gar nuescht an

hmm something tells me you were the person described above?? “Getroffene Hunde bellen!” As we say.. :)

      • Laneynrick

I understand how you feel. I used to love coupon shopping, but every time I go the shelves have been cleared out for 90% of the good deals. It just gets frustrating! I live approximately 20 miles from a HT, and when you go, you hope to at least get half of what you go in there for.

It would also seem to me that if somebody was literally buying that many boxes of cereal that she may be donating it to those in need??  Knowing that she couldn't use that many coupons on that much cereal tells me that she wasn't a “couponer” and had alternate motives in mind.  Like the others said…judging without knowing the whole story isn't good.

Good Morning Elicia,  I am so sorry that your store does not have limits.  I thought all Harris Teeters did.  We in Burlington, NC can only use 20 coupons a day and use 3 like coupons per product. I am one of the givers.  When I go shopping I give to people in need.  There are real people like me out there.  God Bless

      • Cara Mandart

i understand 100%. i stopped shopping at bloom for that reason. my BEST deals are at Farm Fresh which have a limit on # coupons per transaction per item,. So i will go 2x a week once on wednesdays for double up to a 1$ and once another day, to stock up just enough. it all adds up.

First time visiting this website and I think that Jenny is doing a great job helping people save money. As an associate at HT, I've got to comment on a few things. First of all, there are policies in place so all shoppers can purchase items with their coupons. Unfortunately, there are so many “coupon scammers” out there that ruin it for all the legitimate coupon shoppers. Also, unfortunately, the percentage of scammers is on the rise…causing “scenes” at the registers, using foul language towards associates, and hoarding products. This causes the associates to dread Super Doubles or Triple coupons and when you come through with a coupon binder we automatically assume we are going to be given a hard time. Sorry for that if you are a legitimate shopper! I would also like to point out that it is not the stores fault for empty shelves…. more than likely the warehouse has run out of the product. Example…soft scrub this week. My store even went to walmart and purchased as much as they could from them so we would have some product for OUR customers and then to read the bashings after going the extra mile… I really hate bashing when consumers do not know the whole picture. Thanks for listening!

Thanks so much for the insight!  To go to Walmart is definitely an “above and beyond” action…kudos!

    • Cannon

I went today to do some shopping well my total for today was $300 but with my coupons and VIC card i only paid $130. Thanks for the savings!

Where did you see Oscar Mayer Bacon BOGO?  I had the cashier scan it to check and it isn't on sale at the Mt. Island HT, it is 6.99.

      • Tammy

not on sale at HT's in Laurinburg, NC either… but the HT brand was…

    • Tammy

I went to HT’s on Friday and had a wonderful experience!  The total was 321.95 but I only spent 86.27 OOP!  Great day for me. The Oscar Meyer Bacon was not on sale, but the HT brand was half off.  The Hillshire Farm sausage and lunchmeat were on sale..great deal on those!  I also used my $2.00 coupons to get my Pork Ribs that were on sale (couldn’t use but 2 of them, so I gave the manager and the cashier my last 2 since they expired on the 12th).  I also used a 2 of my $10.00 coupons from RECYCLEBANK.com since they expire 8/31/11. Hopefully I can go back on Tuesday when the truck comes in to resupply them!

Pepsi folks were at work this weekend.  They put Qs on the 2 liter bottles making them 25 cents each!  Only 2 more day left so stock up folks!

      • Princessluv32

Where do you find Pepsi Qs?

      • Girl631

yes please tell where you find these at?

    • Rose

Has anyone had problems finding/buying the Hillshire Farm ultra thin lunchmeat? It is not signed at the New Bern, NC HT but i had the brown sugar ham price checked Thurs and it rang up $3.75 but today other ham rang at $7.49 and i had them remove it. My cashier was careful to look at my coupons and put aside the whole grain pasta coupon that said not double! Still got deals and they are the only store in town that doubles coupons.

      • CouponFairy

I couldn't find it at my HT either and it wasn't because they were out, they just straight up didn't have it.  They also didn't have the Hillshire smoked sausage and the deli man told me that they are no longer making that so when it's out, it's out.  And they hadn't had it in awhile.

Does anyone know with the coupons that are in the “Happy School Year” booklet if you can use these with another manufacturers coupon, for example, purchase a box of cheez-its and get $1.50 off of a 6-pack of Sprite? Can I use another manufacturer coupon for the cheez-it's (I have a $1 off coupon for these) and also use the booklet coupon for the $1.50 off of the sprite when I buy the cheez-it's? Wanted to see before I make my trip tomorrow? Thanks!

      • Princessluv32

Yes Yes Yes!!!  I did the same thing. I used the $1.50 off bread when you buy 2 Kelloggs fruit snacks plus had $1.00 off 2 boxes of the fruit snacks. nothing was on sale but only paid $2.25 for 1 loaf of bread and 2 boxes of Kelloggs Fruit snacks!!  It was a great thing!!! Everything doubled for $5.00 in coupons!!

FYI, the Kettles coupons is good for the Kettles Tias, as well.  They were out of the regular chips, but had plenty of the Tias (which look like Doritos).  Lovin it @ 50 cents a bag!

        • J Yauniek

Yup, I called and went back to the store. It wasn't in lost and found and I couldn't find it anywhere in the store. Hopefully if someone found it/finds it they will turn it in.

          • Cara Mandart

      • NitaRoyal

    • Kristin

Does anyone have any idea about the B1G1 oscar mayer bacon 8oz from Harris Teeter. I have not been able to find it at any store in the Raleigh area. Has anyone gotten this???

    • savingmoney11

For those that e Vic there wa a $2 off coupon for the gilette body wash $2.99 and when u stacked it w ur $2 coupon u made $1. Also on e Vic there was a coupon for the crest mouth wash for $2 paired w a Manf q for $2 was 4.50-4 off for .50 cents. I picked upseveral this week and it doesn't pull up anymore but I got enough to last the next 3 months for my family.

    • This was my first “super double” experience.  After 3 trips to Harris Teeter I ended up getting $150.68 worth of groceries for $65.42.  So, I saved $85.26.  And, I will be donating some of my purchases to my local food bank!

    • Funlittleleo

I live less then a mile from Teeter I went 4 times and was not able to get any of the super deals. When I asked the managaer why he said there were people lined out the door before the store even opened and they brought 3-4 adults with different vic cards. And bought them out every time they re-stocked I was angry. People Why cant you share. There are more people out there trying to save money. I never try to buy 2 or 3 of any item so others can share in the money saving. It seems crazy to not think of others. I did get some extra health and beauty products and I am looking forward to donating them to our local home shelter.  But some people are so rude to not think of others!
