You purchase your $20 worth of qualifying items (all in 1 transaction), use any coupons that you may have in order to make it cheaper than the original $20, and as a reward you'll receive 4 coupons (totalling $20) to use in the coming weeks. Each coupon is only valid for the dates specified on the coupon, but you can use them on just about anything in the store, doesn't have to be GM items.

    • theeg

      Thank you southern savers!!!!

    • harbinfamily

It looks like if you spend $20(before coupons), you will receive 4 coupons(one for each week). I like it! I will be working out the best scenarios in my sleep…

    • Sigaduro

Is there a limit to how many times you can get the GM Pink Promo? Can i do multiple $20 purchases? Just split them in different orders?

    • Kellie Artis

      Found $2 off Peet’s coffee! http://www.peetscoffee.com/?thankyou=true

      • Crunchy Deal

        Thanks!

      • TheChapleigh

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! LOVE Peets!!

    • Bev

Your ad says buy 3 Old Orchard, get 2 free, but my online Charlotte HT ad says it's buy 2, get 3 free. Is it different by region??

      • Guest

It's a typo – this ad wasn't listed here last night when I went to bed at 11:30, so Jenny was probably up working late on this to get it posted by today. It's just a typo. It's b2g3.

    • Guest

I just wanted to point out that the coupon listed for this product is not correct – 'singles' and 'by the slice' are 2 different lines, so this coupon is not appropriate for this item:

Red Baron By the Slice, 2 pk. $3.33

-.75/1 Red Baron singles product, SS 8/01

    • Ss310279

Regarding the GM promo. What's the max # of coupons we can use?? I have several……

      • Guest

You may use 1 coupon per item. HT limits us to 3 identical coupons per order, and also limits us to 2 identical internet printed coupons per order.

        • Ss310279

          so,
It isn't 3 identical and 2 internet coupons per manufacturer? It's only per item. What if I have a 1.50/3 for GM cereal and a 1/2 for GM cereal and a 55/1 GM cereal coupon. These would not be considered identical would they??

          • nc_sunshine

Those examples are all different coupons — thus, you can use all of them. Identical here means the exact same coupon — like, if you bought 3 Sunday newspapers and used 3 of the same $.55/1 coupons for GM cereal. You could only use up to 3 of this coupon on Trix, let's say. If it's an internet coupon, you can only use 2 of that coupon (which kind of makes sense, since generally you can only PRINT 2 of that coupon).

Having said that, I've used the same internet coupon (e.g., $1 off Al Fresco chicken sausage) 8-10 times in a transaction without many problems — using 2 for the sweet italian variety, 2 on the asiago flavor, etc. As I've understood from cashiers, the rule is 2 internet coupons per flavor/variety, not 2 of a particular internet coupons period…

    • Raynesmw

I, too, am wondering how many times you will be able to do the 20 buck promotion. Please comment in if you have completed this more than one time and it worked so that we know. Thanks!

    • Cindy

Just did this at my HT. Total before coupons. 22.04. Catalinas did not print. Went to the service desk, after much discussion they decided it was because I used coupons bringing the total to less then $20. I said it didn't state that anywhere in the ad. They agreed and would call someone. So they gave me 4 &5.00 HT gift cards. They are always wonderful in this store. Anyone else have any problems?

      • Jalonzo

I didn't have any problem and I spent less than $20 after coupons…hmmm

      • Guest

Was the $22.04 before or after tax? My guess is that the total would have to be $20 before tax and coupons.

        • Cindy

That was before tax and coupons

      • Bholmes75

my sister inlaw said they forgot to get the sku for the cheerios. worked fine for me no problems

      • Meegie

I didn't have any problems with the catalina printing either and I used enough coupons that it brought my $21 worth of products down to about $7. Must be a kink in that store's system.

At least they gave you some gift cards. :)

    • Windowdresses

Be careful with the Buy One Get One. HT will only take one coupon for the one item you are buying. So if you have a coupon for One dollar off two you have to buy four! I will be looking for deals elsewhere as HT no longer wants the business from those who coupon!

      • DEinRaleigh

If you buy 1 of the B1G1 deals, it rings half price, so you can use coupons for $$ off 1 item.

        For Example:
Garden of Eatin Tortilla Chips, 9 oz., at $3.99 ($1.99)
-$1 off Garden of Eatin’ Chips, any printable
        (makes it 99¢)

This deal works if you buy 1 item, use a coupon, close transaction. This can be a pain though if you want to buy multiple items with multiple coupons, but there is a way around their policy of the “free” item – even though it's still half price.

      • Carrie_C

If you purchase two different flavors/colors/whatever, the coupon will scan. For instance, if you buy two finely shredded mild cheddar cheese, then the coupon won't scan. But if you buy one finely and one regular shred or mexican, the coupon will work. You are still meeting the requirement of the coupon but still being able to take advantage of HT making bogof's half price.

      • JL

i have used $1.00 off two on B1G1 before never had a problem. They will not let you use two $1.00 of one for B1G1. I think HT is great with their super dbls and triples however a do stick to shopping mainly at publix b/c og HT B1G1 policy.

      • Tfrost99

This isn't true at my HTs. You can only use 1 coupon for the 2 items under the BOGO sale. If you have $$/1 then you can only use one coupon for either 1 or 2 of the same items. If you have $$/2, then you can use it for 2 of the BOGO items. At least my store takes them.

    • Michelle

It looks like the PF chang coupon from the target website ($1.50 off) is a target store coupon.

    • Guest

On the totinos, i have 2 coupons- 1/2 and .40/2 can I use these on the buy 3 get 2 free?

      • RebeccaFer

since both qs attach to two items, you'll only be able to use one of them ($1/2 is best) if you follow ht's rules. They don't let you use qs on the free items. I hope they'll change that rule someday but for now, you can only use qs on the 3 you are “buying” technically. HTHs! :D

      • Bholmes75

the totinos are b2g3 not b3g2

    • Homemaking Mom

Hi everyone! Today I spent $20.39 for $73.83 worth of groceries at Harris Teeter! Click the following link to view a picture of the great deals I got:
      http://www.homemakingmom.com/

Thank you! I hope this helps!!!

    • Bholmes75

typo on the old orchard juice its b2g3

    • Terryg45

Did anyone else notice for the General Mills “PINK” $20 deal that the list on the bottom of the page in fine print with participating products is slightly different from the pictured items? In my ad, the list is missing the items for GM Lucky Charms, Chocolate Cheerios, Multi Grain Cheerios and Cookie crisp (which are shown in pictures). The list includes Fiber One Chewy Bars (10ct value size) which is NOT in the pictures. Wonder if either is incorrect and affects results of whether you get the catalina coupons?

      • Lauren

That is interesting because I bought two boxes of Multi Grain Cheerios (and with had a total of $20 with that purchase but the catalinas didn't print out for me. Thankfully, I went to Customer Service and they sorted it out for me.

    • Ligia

The coupons that you get for General Mills Pink Promotion does it specify the amount that you need to buy to be able to use those coupons? Does it say $3 off your next purchase of $20 or something like that?

      • Bholmes75

you get $20 but they spread it out over a few weeks.

        • Ligia

          Tks!!

      • Jalonzo

No it is just a straight $3 off

        • Ligia

          Tks!!

    • tarheelpat

Does anyone know whether you get credit for all five of the B2G3F Totinos or just the two you pay for? If get all five, ten of those would get you the $20 and cost way less!

      • i just went and did NOT get the catalina after buying 10 pizza rolls. not sure if i didn't qualify because the $20 was before coupons…or because the 3 “free” ones didn't count. But …still only paid 3.54 for 10 boxes. still ain't bad!

        • Guest

Why would you expect the 'free' ones to count if you're not being charged for them? Your SUBTOTAL before tax and before coupons has to be over $20 for the deal to work – 10 pizza rolls will only give you a subtotal of $8.76 since the FREE ones do not count toward your subtotal.

      • Emhcoupon

Yes they counted. I did it earlier in the week.

    • According to the Express Lane for my store, the Smart Balance Milk is still 2/$5. So, if you were unable to use your $2/1 coupons last week, then you should be able to use them this week if they've been restocked.

    • nctater

Is anyone else having a problem getting the Garden of Eatin chip coupon to print? After I register and hit submit it gives me a blank screen. Tried my hubby's computer and got the same thing???

      • Beth

YES! I had this problem last week too. I put in all my info and then get an “internal error” message. I have tried many, many times.

      • TB

        Me too.

      • bam's mom

same thing happed to me twice, I just gave up

    • Meegie

      GM Pink Promotion Scenario Idea:

Apple Cinammon Cheerios- use $.75 printable

BC Muffin Mix- use $.50 printable

BC Frosting & BC Cake Mix- use $.50 off 2 printable

Buy 3 Green Giant Boxed Veggies- use $.60 off 3 printable

Yoplait Splitz- use $.50 from SS 10/3

Buy 2 Pillsbury Crescent Rolls- use $.50/2 printable

Buy 5 Totino's Pizza Rolls- use $.40/2 printable

Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt- use $.50 printable

This will bring your total before coupons to about $21.

Coupons = $8.50 since HT doubles

You get back $20 worth of coupons for future shops…. which means you can end up “making money” on this deal.

***Note, there are some better coupons out there for some of these products, but this is what I could easily get my hands on.

      Hope this helps!

    • ASage

FYI – Just did the GM promo – had several coupons that put the amount below $20 and it didn't print out – customer service said it had to be over $20 total (including coupons) for the cat. to print – anyone else have this happen? Also how many times can you do this?

      • css03

I had no problem today with it, my total was $24 before coupons then down to $13 after coupons and it still printed out. The deal was even better because two of the cereals scanned the incorrect price so I got them for free which made my total cost today $5.

      • Ligia

The same thing happened to me, I spent $9 after all coupons and the $20 did not print. So I went to customer service and they said they think it was because I used coupons, then I said the paper did not specified that you could't use coupons, so they gave me a $20 gift cards..

      • mamac

The coupons didn't print for me. No worker had heard of the deal and we all went over the ad several times. They said I only had $19, but I had added up 21 something. I said I would go buy something else. But instead they just gave me $20 in gift cards.

      • ahjs

My coupons did not print either. The HT manager was not sure why. He actually rung up a dummy sale with no coupons–the cats printed, then he voided out that sale.

      • TheChapleigh

I”ve done this deal twice now, both with Q's that brought the total WAY below 20,. and there was no problem with the Cat printing out each time. Best advice is to read the fine print, and ensure you are buying ONLY the specified items… such as PLAIN Green giant veggies, not those with butter or cheese, or the specific size boxes on cereals. Hope this is helpful :)

    • Stormih

HT in Morehead City is tripiling coupons this week again.

    • theeg

      GM Promo:

      2 fiber one cereal 5.00

      3 bc cake mix 3.00

      4 bc frosting 6.00

      6 gg plain veggies 7.50

      coupons used:

      2 = .75 for fiber one cereal

      3 = .75 for bc cake mix/frosting

      3 = .60 for green giants veggies

i used $3.00 extra catalina because i purchased ground beef, cole slaw and carrots. total for everything was $11.05

      Got $3.00 for bc frosting

      $3.00 (10/20/10-10/26/10) exp

      $4.00 (10/27/10-11/02/10) exp

      $5.00 (11/03/10-11/09/10) exp

      $8.00 (11/10/10-11/16/10) exp

i did two transactions and it worked fine!

      • Linda

Is there a catalina for bc frosting?

        • theeg

          Yes, there is.

      • 1penguinonfire

Thank you! I did this deal and it worked ike a dream!

    • Lynnbspencer

does ht accept the target coupons?

      • The coupons that say Target Web Coupon at the top…No. However, I've never had problems with them taking the ones that say Manufacturer Coupon at the top with a Target Logo on them. HTH.

        • TheChapleigh

Before I understood the correct policy, I thought I could use those but later found out, after cashiers repeatedly discussed this with me, that these are not accepted. Target logo cannot be on there… although some Qs that print off the Target website are from the “catalina” company and do not have the actual target logo, so then they could be used. Love that new catalina internet printable site!!

          • css03

What is the site for the catalina internet printables?

            • TheChapleigh

              coupon network dot com

      • hhimommy

My HT will not accept any coupon with a competitor logo or name on it, even if it is a valid manufacturer's coupon. Check with customer service before you shop. My CS even claimed that their registers will refuse it, but I question that. They were not willing to budge at all.

        • css03

I had never had a problem before tonight, but I was told the same thing. Couldn't accept a manufacturers coupon with the Target logo on it. The CS told me they will not be reimbursed, that Target has a deal worked out for it. She did make an acception and took it.

    • Couponing30

Has anyone tried using the Hidden Valley Farmhouse coupon for the regular Hidden Valley ranch dressing?

      • rjsimms

I have tried – they would not accept.

      • Guest

That would be fraudulent usage of the coupon.

        • Lisao94

If you don't have a real response to the question then don't post an answer. If you don't like what they typed it is not up to you to be the coupon police….it is up to them on how they choose to use q's.

      • Beth

Yes. Last week, they took it for the Light Ranch, no problem. Today, I got a different cashier and she would not take it for the Light Ranch. She said it has to be for the Farmhouse originals only. Same store.

    • carolina333

Oh my, more drama than I wanted during my lunch break! Went specifically to do the GM deal. My total was below $20 after the coupons and the catalina didn't print. Customer service person was nice enough, but had no clue about the promotion so she wanted to rering the items to see if it printed without coupons. No dice. After going over the receipt together, I realized she didn't ring one of the items. At that point we had been going over this for almost 20 minutes and she was so frustrated that she just handed me $20 in cash and voided one of the sales. Or at least I hope she did. Need to check my online bank account after that debacle!

    • Guest

Best tip you'll probably read today:

READ THE FINE PRINT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE AD!!!!!!!!

There are some very very very specific details about this deal that will cause it not to print if you're not careful, AND some of the stuff that is PICTURED as being on sale is not actually part of the catalina promo. For example, ONLY the PLAIN green giant veggies work towards the deal, and Chocolate Cheerios are not included in the catalina deal at all, even though they are on sale! Read the fine print at the bottom of the ad that tells you which items are actually participating in the catalina deal – it will save a lot of headaches.

      • Bholmes75

not sure what you are talking about since I got corn I thought it said the boxed green giant not the steamers the boxed

        • Ss310279

i got the simply steam green giant veggies in the box and the Chocolate cheerios and still got the catilina

        • Guest

There are BOXED green giant veggies that are not PLAIN – some are sauced or seasoned, and those varieties are not included.

Earlier today and yesterday, people that purchased the Chocolate Cheerios did not get their catalina coupons – however it seems that maybe that item has been added into the deal today after numerous customer complaints both to HT and Catalina Marketting about the deal not working with items that SEEMED to be advertised as being part of the deal.

    • Michelle

I got the gm deal tonight using coupons. Total was around $14 after q's and the catalinas printed fine. The cashier was none too happy though, he had to go verify that they do in fact take competitor q's for money off a purchase. Oh if I had a nickel for every time I made a cashier angry… Oh wait, I do have a nickel because I use SOUTHERN SAVERS!!!

    • tcrawley2

Seems they must have the glitches worked out. I did this deal twice this morning. One with a final cost after coupons of $5 and one of $7.

    • Rlynn103

The Harris Teeter in Hickory, NC has triple coupons up to .99 again this week!

      • crystal

Where is the HT in Hickory? Are they doing the GM Pink deal as well?

        • Guest

Every HT is doing the GM Pink deal. It is chain-wide.

    • Kim

If you do the GM deal twice will do get 2 sets of the coupons?

      • Guest

You will only get it 1 time per transaction. You can do 2 separate transactions and you will get all of your coupons.

    • Noleifla

If you are buying the Buy 2 Get 3 deal…can you use 5 coupons (1 for each item)?

      • melanie

I did for Palermos pizza last week.

      • Shawn

I was only allowed to use coupons for the 2 “non-free” items.

    • guest

does the gm deal have to total $20 after coupons or is it before the coupons are added?

      • heather

        $20 before coupons :)

        • guest

          Thanks Heather!

        • Shawn

I was told by a manager today that the deal was $20 after coupons. Left the store very disappointed.

    • Xraychik512

Has anyone used the Kraft $5 off 5 items at HT? Any problems with it? There is Kraft shredded cheese BOGO evic, can I use that coupon for BOGO items?

      • Livserge331

Yeah, I used it twice (since you could print two.) The manager has to come over and approve it, since it's high value, but I didn't have a problem.

    • tarheelpat

I used the $5/5 Kraft coupon at HT when all the shredded cheese was BOGOF. No problem.

      • Xraychik512

Okay, thanks! I think alot of people were having problems at other stores with this coupon, wasn't sure about HT. Doing it this weekend!

        • Ycandy02

I used my $5.00 coupon on the kraft philidelphia cream cheese so I got 5 packs for $1.25

    • guest

First of all, thank you Jenny for all you do! You continue to save my family sooooo much money. I don't know what I would do if it weren't for this site.

I just went to my HT in middle TN and our ad did not have any of the yogurts included in the GM $20 promotion. So the YoPlait YoPlus, Splitz, Original, and Fiber One yogurts were a no go for me on this deal. However, Chocolate Cheerios, lucky charms, Multi Grain Cheerios, and cookie crisp were all included as well. This may be a variation from city to city. Not sure why there was such a difference.

      I purchased:

      3 – Totinos party pizzas $1/ea –use $.50/3

3- GG broccoli spears (box) $1.25/ea –use $.60/3

      4- Honey Nut Cheerios $2/ea –use 2-$1/2

      2 – Macaroni Grill dinner kits $3.50/ea –use 2-$.75/1

      Total before coupons $21.75

      Total after coupons $14.55

      Catalinas printed fine.

    • Guest

Between Wed night and Fri night, there are now signs at all the registers and the shelves of all the participating GM products in Rock Hill that total must be $20 after all coupons. Hopefully, there aren't on the fly restrictions on the coupons during the redemption periods over the next four weeks.

    • Livserge331

Catalinas didn't print for me today. Went to customer service, and the manager rerang just my items for the deal (without the coupons) and it turned out the total was 19.81 before tax, so it was my fault. Eek. So I grabbed another Larabar, and she refunded the 19.81, then rang everything up with the extra item and I paid the difference. But they STILL didn't print. They were nice the whole time about it, and the manager called headquarters and they took my information and are going to send me the coupons. So yay for that. I wrote a nice letter to HY corporate about the excellent service I received today.

I had trouble though trying to FIND $20 worth of stuff. I know that sounds strange, but the problem was that I had planned to buy 5 packs of Totinos pizza rolls. But when I got there, they only had the pepperoni, and my husband is a vegetarian. Plus, when I looked at the nutritional information, I noticed that they contained trans fats, which is a no-no in my house. That made the Totino's pizzas out too. And the Grands biscuits. And most of the crescent rolls. And then they didn't have any of the new Betty Crocker simply Fruit roll ups. I just bought 4 boxes of cereal in a Publix deal yesterday, and I didn't have any coupons on hand anyway for those kinds in the deal. The yogurts were a bit short dated, and they only carry two flavors each of the Fiber One (strawberry and vanilla) and Yo-Plus (vanilla and blackberry). I only really like the blackberry, and there were only 2 of those. :(

So anyway, what I ended up getting:
      5 Yo-Plus (1.00 each -they were ringing up $2 AND BOGO) [$5]
      2 refrigerated pie crusts (2.50 each) [$5]
2 Reduced fat crescent rolls (1.66 each) [$3.32]
      3 Lara bars ($1 each) [$3]
      3 boxes Green Giant (1.25 each) [$3.75]
Grand total of $20.07 (how's THAT for close?)
-50 cents off two pie crusts, doubled [-$1]
-50 cents off two crescent rolls, doubled [-$1]
-60 cents off three Green Giant, doubled [$1.20]
      -50 cents off Yo-plus, doubled, 3 coupons [-$3]
      -55 cents of Yo-plus, doubled, 2 coupons [-$2.20]
Total coupons= $8.40, so a grand total of about $14 (factoring in tax). Not as good as some people did, but like I said, I had to improvise with some of the items. Still don't know why it didn't work… I got unsauced Green Giant, checked everything against the ad…

    • Lauramatt123

I was able to do the GM promotion four times this week. Next week, can I use all four of my $3 off your next shopping order together, or do I have to do 4 separate transactions? Thanks for the insight!

Self-edit: The OYNO for the BC frostings was *$1.00*, not $21.00 lol

Did anyone get the evic specials email? I usually get one on Friday, but didn't this week. I'm missing my “specials deals just for me” this week!

      • Shana

Me either!!! I haven't gotten mine for about 3 weeks now. I emailed HT customer service and they said to check my spam (It's not there). I'm like you, I'm freaking out!!!! :)

        • Meredith

I got mine and there wasn't anything to match up with a coupon. If you buy something, it will print your deals at the bottom of your receipt.

Does anyone know if these GM deal coupons can be used at any other places? I know Lowes will take them (since they say manufacturer coupon and it's off the total order), but I'm wondering whether Target will accept them. Thanks

Jenny has some new cats listed and I was wondering if anyone had them work at HT. There is one for pillsbury rolls (I think just the Grands biscuits) and also BC fruit snacks in which fruit roll ups are listed but not the simply fruit.

Just wondering if these worked for anyone with the Pink Promo? I will try this afternoon and let you know (at least on the grands one)

      • Stephanie

I did not get a cat for the pillsbury.

I didn't get my e-vic specials, or the weekly ad emailed to me either for 2 weeks. For a few weeks before that I kept getting a message in my email and on my receipt to re-enroll, re-link, just thought it was a reminder for everyone to do it if they hadn't already. After not getting my emails, I did re enroll, and have gotten my emails and specials weekly again.

I just got the $20 GM deal AFTER all my coupons were applied! Great deal!

Has anyone had trouble with Harris Teeter taking competitor coupons? They turned away my coupon today for $5 off $25 at the store in High Point, NC. I have used them in Winston Salem, NC before. I didn't know if it was the area or if the coupon policy had changed.

      • Tsmayol

I'm new to the coupon world! Would you please tell me what kind of coupon you use for the $5 off $25. I shop in Winston Salem and would like to also be able to use this type coupon. Thanks! Tara

Pleae somebody help me with the Orchard juice deal. I think I was overcharged but I want to know before I haul my butt back in to the store. If I got 5 juices, how much should the total be (before coupons?) I does not say “FREE” anywhere on my receipt. Thanks!

Mine rang up funky at the HT in Greenville NC. I had 5 Old Orchards (1 Apple & 4 Cranberry Apple). I had the first 2 ring up for $3.19 each (I think that is the right price) and the next 2 showed up as free but the apple one rang up at a discounted price of $1.99. I didn't catch this until I got halfway home…………. So I bought 2 got 2 free and paid for the apple one.

I had a similar thing happen. When I questioned it, we discovered that the regular apple juice is not part of the B2G3 deal. It is on sale this week for $1.99, but not part of the promotion. Because it is a different price point, it is not included. They will probably let you get another juice free. You can keep the apple or return it since you paid for it! Hope that helps!

OK! THANKS! That explains what happened then because I bought apple juice. How frustrating!
