How does the coupons work with the meal deal? Can someone please explain to me ? Thanks!

      • Xraychik512

In my experience, the coupon always works with the item you're actually buying-the Barber chicken this time. As far as the free stuff, I've had mine go through once, and then the last meal deal I had the cashier look at ALL my coupons before she scanned them and said. “this is already free” and gave it back to me. So I think it depends on the cashier, worth a try?

        • 76Hillsb

How does the buy 2 get 3 work? Do you have to buy 2 to get this special price?

          • Russellje

yes, in order to get that you have to have all 5 items, 2 you pay for the other 3 are free. :)

        • Boysssngirl

Not the cashier…it is the computer system..HT has smartened up.

      • AH

My HT will not take coupons for the free items only the paid item. The computer beeps and they say that they are already free. Never had it work.

      • DEinRaleigh

HT accepts coupons for the item that you buy of the meal deal, but not the “free items”. In the case of Xraychik below – they changed their policy not too long ago to where they can't accept coupons on the “Free” items, so it's no longer a cashier thing.

      • Nccouponmom

At BiLo last week I did the meal deal with coupons for almost everything. What I did was hand her my coupons first then I handed her my Bonus Card. When they scanned the card is when the meal deal kicked in making it where I got overage basically. I haven't tried it at HT yet though.

        • Nccouponmom

Did it tonight at HT and it took the coupon for the biscuits. Of course I bought two bags because of the coupon. So I got one free and $1.50 off another.

    • RebeccaFer

Thanks for the great list Jenny. Just a note, the third ip for the $1/1 Barber chicken meal deal goes to a Clorox q and not a Barber q. :D

    • Betty

I wanted to thank the person that informed everyone of the coupons for sale on ebay for the Hebrew national hotdogs. That was my first time getting coupons off ebay. It was very exciting getting my favorite hotdogs for $1 a pack (regular $5). Seeing my subtotal before coupons was so cool!! Thanks again.

THanks Jenny for all you do!!!

    • Karen

Butterfinger tearpads are at BP and Dollar General. FREEEEEEEE Butterfingers for Halloween

    • Pattie F.

      Thanks Jenny!

    • Debi

Does anyone know which ZIP code to use for the Smart Balance milk coupons?

      • harbinfamily

        90210 works!

        • Debi

          Yes, it does! Thank you.

    • DOFFNM

College Inn broth is still BOGO. Use the $.75 coupon and it's free.

    • marye

Just confirmed Morehead City, NC will be doing triples this week.

      • Chasoe

I new to the coupon world. How do triples work at Harris Teeter?

        • Patagonia

they triple coupons up to .98 cents

          • Chrstyamyrs

If they triple coupons, is the limit 20 like super doubles? I was going to go to Wilmington, but might have to go to Morehead City instead!

            • MarieNC

              Yes

    • Trish

On the Bounce dryer sheets if they are on sale for $2.29 and you used the .75 off coupon then wouldn't that make them $1.54 after the coupon? How did you figure out that they would be .79? That would be an awesome deal if they really were.

      • Brandismithusn

The .75 coupon will double. Making it .79

    • Jaime

My HT would not take the Palermo Pizza Q, bc it does not print the web address on/near the bar code (like a coupons.com for example borders the coupon with the web address)
I protested with manager showing them the web address at bottom of printed 8.5 x 11 sheet – NOPE wouldn’t budge

      • Nccouponmom

That stinks. I did two coupons and they went through.

        • Bridget

The Palermos coupons, though totally legit, have always been “beepers”. Luckily the managers at our HT are aware of it and override them.

    • Judy

My HT (Raleigh, NC) is doing double coupons this week.

      • NCcouponer

They double coupons up to 99 cents every week!

    • Bholmes75

FYI in order to do the Progresso soup deal b2g3 and use the $1 off if you get 4 you must get 7 cans of soup in order for the coupon to work.

    • Guest

Does anyone know on the 5 for 8.00 if it can be 5 of the same item?? Like can I get 5 capri suns for 8.00? Thanks!!

      • DEinRaleigh

Yes, you can get 5 of the same items for this deal if you want.

    • Sarah

Does anyone know if the Lance 100 calorie pack coupon will work on the B1G1 Lance 8ct crackers? I printed both printable coupons from this page and it they both say “one any variety 6oz. Lance 100 calorie pack mini sandwich crackers”

    • kcreviews

At my NC HT, the Cheerios were not B1G1 like the other cereals were.

And the 3.5 lb. Purina Cat Chow was $3.50 which is a good price with the $1 q that is mentioned in the FL ad (RP insert I think?).

      • Nccouponmom

I got Cheerios thinking they weren't B1G1 because it wasn't marked. But when I bought it, it was B1G1 on the receipt.

        • kcreviews

Hmm, maybe I will get them and ask the cashier to make sure they are B1G1. I

did that on the Hillshire Farm sausage because it wasn't marked, but I did

          get the right price. Thanks!

    • Kmacchia

The Harris Teeter in Charleston told me yesterday they will no longer take coupons for “free” item in a BOGO deal:(. In other words, I must buy 4 items if the q says $1 off 2.

      • Hll

you can by 3 instead of 4. that way the 3rd is still counted half off bc BOGO. hope this helps. but yes, that is frustrating.

    • Xraychik512

Is the buy 5 of the items for $8 in the flyer? It's not on the website and it says that each of those items are $2 each, which would make it $10 total.

      • Paulhowe37

two dollars each is right, but if you buy 5 you get $2 off , making it 5 for $8

        • Bholmes75

I don't understandy why they couldn't word it buy 5 of said items get $2 off instantly cuz that's what they do on the bottom of the receipt

    • Herndonquad

does anyone know how to get the maxwell house coupon

      • Nccouponmom

Yeah I couldn't get to it either. And I can't find it in my insert.

    • Shannon

8 pack of lance crackers are BOGO at 1.50 a piece not 1.99. use the -55/1 q makes it .40 a pack

    • Shannon

Land O Lakes butter BOGO sale does not include the Spreadable Butter containers so the q wont work. The Land O Lakes spreadable butter is about 2.39 you can still use the q for -50/1 it would make it around 1.39

    • Amy

Does anyone know if the Capri Suns that are part of the 5 for $8 deal include the 100% juice ones? I haven't had a chance to go there yet. Thanks!

      • Bholmes75

        no it doesn't

        • Amy

          Darn! Thanks for responding!

    • Boysssngirl

Harris Teeter will only double your coupon up to the price of the item even when the coupon specifies you must buy three items. example Kleenex tissues last week 88 cents coupon 50 cents off three, Harris Teeter took off the first 50- then the doubling was only 38 cents. and if you buy one get one free you can only use one coupon. And the meal deal anything that is free they will not take a coupon

      • Mmcreasy

Not only will they only take one coupon, but they will not accept a coupon if you only buy one of the BOGO items and the coupon is more than the one item. That happened to me last week, but I did go to a store I normally don't go to and the cashier was awful.

        • Boysssngirl

It is not the cashiers.. I cashier at a well known store in the area. The computers are set up this way now. It really is a big PIA. The coupons just won't go thru. It is frustrating as a customer and a cashier!

      • Krista

The kleenex coupon does that because of the way it's coded by the manufacturer to recognize just the cost of one item (because the coupon is only worth .50 to them they don't take into account how computers will react to doubling and such). Personally, I alert the cashier to the coupon's mistake and they fix it to double to the full $1. There are yogurt coupons that do the same thing…

    • couponinquiry

sorry if this is a silly question..but here goes, when HT has the meal deal..why would you provide coupons for the free items if they are already free..will it still take off the price of the item from the 1 item that your purchasing?..thx for your help.

      • Michelle

My Harris Teeter will not take items for the free item in the meal deal. I was told that it is already free, so it will not get any less than that — just as you said.

        • Michelle

Oops, I mean they will not take COUPONS for the free meal deal items.

        • Ccbrunston

I was told to hold off giving your VIC card until after the cashier has processed the coupons and then the money comes off for the coupons and then all the VIC specials come off. I haven't tried it but that is what they told me in a couponing class that I attended.

      • UULEEL

My Harris Teeter took my coupons for the Meal Deal two weeks ago:

Buy (1) Stouffer Family Meal 28-40 oz. at $7.69
        Get the Following Free
        (1) Birdseye Steamfresh Vegetables 10-12 oz.
        (1) Cole’s Garlic Bread 16 oz.
        (1) Coca-Cola product 2 liter

The ONLY coupon I didn't have was the one for the Coca-Cola. It may seem ridiculous to use the coupons…but in my case…the money or value of the coupon “taken off” went towards lowering my overall grocery bill.

    • Christy

I noticed a couple of stores are still tripling q's. Are the majority of HT's not going to triple any more?

      • Nccouponmom

I was told with the HT in our area (Concord, NC) that they make more on Super Doubles. BUT I was also told by a friend that she was told by a HT person, a triple was coming back. Here's to hoping and praying it does.

    • Emily

Does anyone know the zip code for the Nabisco crackers on coupons.com? Thanks!

    • Nccouponmom

FYI while shopping tonight at the HT in Concord, NC, my husband found a coupon for Kraft Par. Cheese. Well it was for Phil. Cream Cheese…free when you bought the Par. Cheese. It was on a tear pad on the Par. Cheese display. Not sure if there is a Par. Cheese Q out there.

    • Beth

Am I the only one who can't get a Garden of Eatin coupon? That is the only coupon that I really, REALLY want!

      • Lsimka

I can't get the coupon to come up either : (

      • Bev

I had the same problem–it brought up a blank page when I submitted my info. I contacted them via their web form, but still haven't heard back.

    • Jane

Please tell me about the Kraft Fall and Family magazine. I don't know how to get a copy of this one. Thanks

      • Jeri

They sell it at my local Wal-Mart.

    • Sparklecat2009

I am going to Harris Teeter for the first time ever to buy groceries. What should I expect at the Firetower Rd one in Greenville NC??? I really hope to have a pleasant experience! :)

    • Chas

I am new to couponing, how do you know when a store is doing double or triple??

      • Hlkj

They will have signs up. Or, if you sign up for evic, they will send you emails each week letting you know specials and also if its a double or triple week

        • chas

          Thanks!!

      • Guest

HT has 'regular' doubles every single day (up to $0.99 face value and up to 20 coupons doubled per day). They do 'enhanced' offers (triples up to $0.99 face value or super-doubles up to $1.98 face value) every now and then – they advertise in their flyers, on the website, and often in TV commercials during the actual 'enhanced' week, but the only way to find out in advance is to keep your eye on various couponing sites such as this one.

    • KWK1586

Does anyone in Mt. Pleasant SC know if Harris Teeter has stopped advertising in the Moultrie News? For the past two weeks my copy of the paper has not had the Harris Teeter insert with the $10 off $40 coupon….

      • Eamullens

I am wondering the same thing. I just contacted through email about whether or not they are going to have Harris Teeter ads in their paper. I will let you know as soon as I hear back. Its the only grocery store that is not in the Moultrie News anymore. I bet sales will drop off at Harris Teeter and eventually they will have to put them back in.

      • Kgrimm

Was it in Wed's Post and Courier?

        • chaslady

As far as I know it has only been in the home delivered Mt. P papers the last few weeks because people were ripping off the newspaper boxes – putting in the .75 and taking all the coupons out of all the papers.

      • CRB

I noticed the same thing! I look forward to the Moultrie News for that reason alone. I miss my coupon.

      • beachmommy

it's still in the p&c every wednesday

    • Chrstyamyrs

Anyone know what zipcode pulls up the Simply Asian q??

    • Sparklecat2009

Went to the Scott website and printed a $2 off Scott Extra Soft 8 roll coupon.

    • Connie

For the progresso deal-to use the buy four get 1 dollar off coupon you have to purchase four. If the store deal is buy two get three free you have to have at least two more cans to use the coupon…but if you do this remember you are then entitled to get three more cans free! I got all the way to the car before I realized it and the cashiers (who had told me I had to get more soup) didn't bother to mention it. I marched right back in and got my cans!

      • are u implying that with the Q you can get more than the 10 limit at one time?

        • Phyllis

No. What she is saying is that in order to use the $1 off 4 can coupon, that you have to purchase the 10 cans in one transaction (pay for 4, get 6 free). She is just reminding everyone that, since you have to actually PAY for 4 cans to use the coupon, not to forget to pick up all 6 of your “free” cans.

    • Crystal Light Drink Mix, 8 qt. 5 for 10 dollars. $2 each. is that a good sales. The last time i bought some was a BOGO.

    • JBU

I guess there are variations to the HT ad. Jenny lists Earth's Best Stage 2 baby food as BOGO by it's not in my ad here in Charlotte, NC. Bummer. I had my coupons ready to go and when I got to the store tonight they were not on sale. At least now I know.

    • Slancaster001

Anyone know where the Hillshire farms coupon is? I can't find it on Redplum.

      • Coupons9876

i found one on thier website.

    • Crb

I noticed tonight that the party size Stouffer's entrees are on sale for $9.99. ( I think they're usually $14) There's a coupon on the Nestle Family website for $2 off which makes it $7.99. Great deal I think!

    • Ccbrunston

I’m new to couponing and I keep looking for the coupons in RP but they are not in the ones that come in the paper. Should I be printing all the RP.com coupons each week?

    • Homemaking Mom

I had a great grocery shopping experience at Harris Teeter this week. I spent $19.78 for $73.04 worth of groceries! I have posted a picture and a breakdown of what I purchased using coupons if anyone is interested:

      http://www.homemakingmom.com/1/category/60%20weekly%20grocery%20challenge86bf192d19/1.html

      Thanks!

    • Jamie

I didn't see the GREAT deal I got on Gain Dish detergent. $3.27 retail, 2 for $3.00, minus the P&G $1 off coupon made it $.50!

      • Lauren

Where did you get the Gain coupon? Thanks for letting us know this…. I need dish detergent!

        • nani

          PG 10/10

also makes the smaller dish detergent free :)

    • LWood311

Our cashier told us tonight that they are doing a major revision to their coupon policy. One thing was, you can now only use TWO IPs for two like items instead of three, per store, per day.

      • Guest

That's been the rule for IP's for quite some time now (like several years). Your store, or your cashier, is very very behind the times. It's in the official policy on their website and it's been there for public viewing for a LONG time.

      • Amyzcakes

        What is an IP?

    • Lori

Does anyone know if HT is having triple coupons anytime soon? They haven't had a great deal like this in a long time.
      Lori

    • Rwjlseeley

The pepsi 12 packs are not $2.50 they are 3/$11. Where are they $2.50? Am I missing something?

      • My HT (Monroe, NC) didn't have the $2.50 Pepsi 12 packs either. Ugh. Bummer.

    • Bethanyhbaker

If you buy 2 seapack items at BOGO, you get a $2 coupon for seapack. the mccormick recipe inspirations are BOGO, and if you buy 3, you get a $3 off next order at HT.
