Thank you for getting this up so early today! Now I'll REALLY be ready for Triples tomorrow!

      • Suzanne

        What time do triples start?

        • Jeri

          7am

    • Jennifer

Jenny, you ROCK!!! You have the BEST lists around. Thanks for getting this out so early!

    • Paige

I cannot get the Cheez-it coupons to print. Anyone else have any luck? It just says, Loading…. Please wait ….

      • momMe

its doing that for me too. some times coupon websites do this to me, not sure why. anyone know how to make it print?

      • Bridget

I had the same problem with that site (which is powered by Red Plum). The Red Plum site told me I did not have the coupon printer installed which I do. What I ended up doing was switching from Firefox to Internet Explorer, and the coupons printed fine for both the Snackpicks and Red Plum sites. Hope this helps!

        • momMe

Thanks Bridget! I got them to work using IE. Still seemed to take forever tho. I knew there was something I did last time I had one of those I will have to remember next time. Thanks again!

    • melgordon

I am new to this, please explain why there are two prices next to some items.

      For example:
      Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats, 14.5-18 oz at $4.19 ($2.09)

Also, some items have more than one coupon listed. For example:

Prego Pasta Sauce, 24 oz, $2.00
-$1 off Prego Heart Smart Italian Sauce SS 2/07
-.50/2 Prego Heart Smart Italian Sauce, SS 2/07

(I thought that we could only use one SS coupon per item).

      Thanks!!! Love the Website :+)

      • Brooke82

The first price is how much an item is. Since the item is B1G1 free she puts the price of each product which is the 2nd price. This is so you don't have to calculate the price yourself. As for the coupons listed under the items, they are suggestions of the coupons that you should use. For the Prego you would only use one for each item, just pick the one that is the best deal for you. Hope that helps! :)

      • LLCoolMom

The mini wheats are buy one, get one free. The price for just one item is $2.09, or 2 for $4.19. The two coupons for Prego are listed to show you which coupons are available to use–you may have one or both, so you can choose which one to use on each item you purchase.

      • katiehd

Hi! The prices listed in parentheses is the price you pay for one, since it is buy one, get one free. At Harris Teeter, those items are actually 50% off, not truly “buy 1, get 1.” As far as the coupons go, you are correct. You can only use one manufacturer coupon per item. Jenny lists all the coupons that she is knows about, that way you can see the options and pick what you have in your stash that works best for you. Hope that helps! :-)

        • tammy072667

When I went to Harris Teeter on Monday my receipt did not show 50%off on the cheese I purchased. It took off the price for one cheese. This is the only time since I have been shopping there the receipt looked this way. Not sure if they changed and you will have a true B1G1 instead of the receipt taking half off each item. If so this will affect the way we can use coupons. Everyone check your receipts and let us know if our Charleston store is the only one doing it this way or not. Thanks!

          • xseannax

I was at the Longpoint HT in Mt Pleasant yesterday and the cheese rang up for half price for each bought. And they had a blinkie with $2 off 2. So each cost $0.60.

            • tammy072667

Thanks maybe because I used the self checkout the receipt printed like that, whatever. Something interesting happened yesterday as well. I purchased a shave gel and the sign said 2.29. The register rang at 2.99, I used a .55 coupon but did not give me the sale price. I went to question at the service desk and told them the sign said a sale price. The sign was an old sale from a week ago someone forgot to take down. I ended up getting a full price refund because my product did not ring at the price on the sign. The girl said it is their policy to refund the entire price and I kept the shave gel. Sometimes they seem weird with coupons but this policy is one I like. I knew there was a reason I always look at my receipts. I liked my Harris Teeter yesterday and will love them tomorrow when I get done with my triple coupons.

            • ItsACouponThing

I was given the advice to NEVER use the U-Serve with coupons, that they mess up all the time.

          • ItsACouponThing

Tammy, call them and ask if the BOGOF means you have to buy 2, or if it should be half price. As long as you have the receipt, you should get reimbursed.

      • Heather

Hi. The 2 prices are the actual price of the item and the other price is the half off price. I think she usually lists both just to give us a quick easy glance to see the 1/2 off price:)

The multiple Q list just shows all of the different coupons that you could use for that item….sometimes there are several different coupons to choose from. Just remember you can only use 1 Q per item.

Have fun at HT Triples!!!!! You won't regret it!!

    • Letitia

I'm so excited… I just cant hide it…. You are awesome!!

    • LLCoolMom

Does anyone know a good website for Lowe's Foods coupon match-ups since they also start triples tomorrow?

      • Michelle

Lowes does triples???? Oh my goodness!!! I will be at BOTH!

      • Amy

At my Lowes Foods, triples were this past Sunday, yesterday, and today. I didn't find that out until last night though, so it looks like it will be a last minute run this evening. I didn't even know that they double coupons until I went over the weekend and my coupon doubled! I don't know of any coupon match-ups anywhere. Sorry!

      • pickle

I haven't had any luck finding Lowes coupon list-sites that are regularly updated…really makes you appreciate Jenny's hard work even more! Sometimes I use the Southern Savers website search engine to find coupons for the items that seem to be a really good deal in the Lowes sale paper…sort of time consuming and labor intensive, but I am sometimes able to find a few great deals that way! Hope this helps…I have a Lowes right down the road so I really wish I could find a good coupon site for Lowes as well!

        • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

I do updated Lowes Foods posts each week! Would love to have you come check them out!

          • brendak27

            where?

      • Jamie

Lowe's Foods does triples??? I had no clue about that!

        • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

The triples were Sunday, Monday, Tuesday for Charlotte Area stores only.

      • Shelly

I just called the Lowes in Cary, NC and they are not doing triples. The lady said none of the local stores are.

      • Ronda

I shop at Lowes Foods too and would love to find a website where they do coupon match-ups.

      • vgwagoner

I called mine (Burlington, NC) and they said they did not do triples, wish they did.

        • Sonya B

I called Newport News VA location and they are particpating in Triples starteing tomorrow. I would think it was company wide but I guess not. I am glad I called first.

      • BeverlyB

My Lowes did triples this past weekend. As far as websites go, you can follow Lowes matchups at mycouponteacher(dot)com. They don't have the Lowes matchups for tomorrow up yet, but you can check back later. I don't shop at Lowes much–but if Jenny added it, I'd probably shop there more. It's a mile from my house, but I don't think to check this other website often enough to see the deals, and I just love Jenny's printable shopping lists (something other sites don't do!).

        • RebeccaFer

I noticed the couponteacher website said: “triple coupons for the Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Fort Mill, Gastonia, Harrisburg, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill, and Mooresville locations.” It seems like there are some other lucky shoppers who'll have HT and LF competing during the same time! Have fun! :D

        • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

          Yea! Thanks for reading Beverly!

          • BeverlyB

Hey Shelly, fun to see you on Southern Savers! I don't know much about your website, but found it through becentsable and keep it on my “favorites” list to check occasionally for the Lowes matchups. I need to check it more often. Like I said, Lowes is right down the road from me, but I rarely go in there, spending most of my time at Harris Teeter or Bi-Lo.

        • ajguberman

I would shop Lowes too if Jenny added it to the site. Her site just makes the shopping/deal finding so much easier!

      • brendak27

my store did them this week and it ends today.

    • Kristy

Can't wait to get to HT tomorrow morning!

    • Rita

I am 2 days new to this site and am so appreciative of all of the information. Its like it was written just for me. I am so ready for HT in the morning. Does anyone know if Kroger stores in the Nashville area will triple coupons as well??

      • DJB

I just called the Belle Meade and Franklin Rd Krogers, they said the will NOT be tripling coupons this week.

        • travelinamy

          Booo, what a bummer!!!

    • reginamarie

Does anyone know if HT will take CVS store Qn for $2. off cottonelle toilet paper?
That could make for some cheap toilet paper I think…I am still used to Sam's prices,so that is my only real comparison.
      Thanks for the help :)

      • jess

They will only take competitor coupons off total order not specific items.

        • momMe

so would they take, for instance the $5 off $25 rite aid coupon? or does it have to be a grocery store? I will be shopping at the charleston store thanks.

          • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

They would take a $5 off $25 however the official policy says that they won't take a printable competitor coupon.

          • Binkle

I went in with a q from Rite Aid. It was $3 off of $15. It was a printable, I think from their website. HT would not accept it. They said it had to be from a newspaper ad, etc. Could not be from the internet.

    • TJ

crud, I'm getting the “print limit reached” error from redplum on the miniwheats Q no matter what zip I try. Any luck with other zips?

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

There is still a coupon on coupons.com, but the RP isn’t working.

    • LLCoolMom

I thought Lowe's triples started tomorrow, but I was wrong. I called the Matthews, NC store and they confirmed triples are ending today. Today is the last day. Sorry for the misinformation.

      • Ileana

This is the store I go to. How did you find out about this? I didn't see it in their promo emails or anything.

    • jessica

jenny- is there a price on the chicken breast?

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

I can tell you the rest of the prices in a few minutes. They update their online system a little after 3pm Tuesday with the new deals.

        • jessica

          perfect thanks!!

          • Jeri

My store in Indian Land had the chicken for 4.99 per pound which with b1g2 equals about 1.7 per pound

    • rachel

      Furmano’s Tomatoes, 28 oz, $1.66
      -$1/3 Furmano’s Tomatoes, 14.5 oz. +, SS 2/07

Do you all think this is a good deal?
I'm not desperate–there are a few cans left in the stash. But we use A LOT of crushed tomatoes.

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

It makes it the same price as 66 cents for a regular size can of tomatoes which is a pretty good price per oz.

    • katie

rita-i just called one of the franklin, tn kroger's and they will not be tripling this time. bummer!

    • rachel

    • Sonya B

Alittle off topic but I had to share! the April All You has one of our local moms groups pictured (pg 76) and I even know all those women! Weird!

    • jengc

When it says you can only use 20 coupons, is that 20 coupons that is lower than $1 (or the coupons that can triple) or ALL coupons? For instance, If I have a $1.50 coupon, is this included in the 20 limit or not? Thanks! :)

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

The first 20 coupons will triple, and any above $1.00 will be accepted at face value. If you have more than 20, put the $1.00 and above at the bottom.

    • Jen

Does anyone know if the Ester C is the powder or the pills?? My hubby uses the powdered Emergen-C every day, so getting a 60 count of a different brand for FREE would be fantastic!

    • cutnsave

Quick question–newbie here–looking at Cottonelle sale 6pk 3.99. SS Coupon is .50/2 4pk or .50/ 1 pk 12rolls<. How to best use coupons: I have 2 MQ from SS? Thank you so much!

      • michelle1503

Well depends on what your coupon says. If you SS .50/2 4pk is a 4pk or larger… it would take off 1.50 off of TWO. Your other one would take off 1.50 off one, but you may not be able to use it since you indicated its 12 pk roll… Hope that helps!

        • cutnsave

          Thanks, Michelle!

    • Suzanne

      What time do triples start?

    • Crystal

Ladies I took the time to compare Lowes and HT with my coupons yesterday and some stuff was cheaper. I bought $60 worth for $15. It was awesome b/c not many people knew about it so I got my free stuff last night with no problems. The lady at Lowes said the last time they did triples was a year ago. Also you should know some stuff was cheaper for me to wait for HT triples. But overall it was simply awesome.. I hope they wise up that Ht shoppers are willing to shop Lowes if they get with the coupon program:)

I would just like to say that I will NEVER shop at this store again and to also advise some of you as well. Harris Teeter will not mulitply coupons that state no double or triples. I always check my receipts in the past and have not had this problem but apparently this is it now. I purchased roughly 20 items through the u-scan. The cashier read each coupon and looked up each item on the screen to make sure I purchased the items stated. She even argued with me on some as she didn't believe I purchased the correct item or couldn't find it on the screen. I sat at the register for almost 30 minutes as she had to call customer service because she didn't feel the coupons I gave her were appropriate. It was later decided that they were ok and no, they were not printed but cut out of the sunday paper. Today I spent more time in the cashout lane than I did in the store shopping. As stated on her nametag she had worked for the company for over 10 years and this isn't the first time that I have had some issues in this store. If you can get the good buys, go ahead but I would rather miss out that deal with being looked at. I didn't appreciate the “oh, one of those people comments” when I handed the coupons into the superior standing there. They should assume people will have coupons, that is why they advertise that way. I don't feel the cashier needs to be that ridiculous in taking coupons.

Did you email corporate? HT human resources is really good about emailing back pretty quick and that type of behavior and treatment is just unacceptable! I would email them in a heartbeat if that had happened to me!

      • michelle1503

Sorry for your bad experience, it must be that branch. I'm loyal to my HT, never given me a problem with coupon advertisements. Email corporate and they will put the clerks in check. But don't boycott HT, they are the best!!!

    • MistyB

I read somewhere on here that HT will only take so many printed coupons. Probably 7 or so of my coupons that I plan to use for this triples sale is printed from home. Can someone tell me if I read this wrong or if this is true? If so, I need to rework my list!! I shop in the Florence store. Thanks so much!!!

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

It has been my experience that they allow 2 printable coupons per company per day. Like 2 Lysol, two Kraft, etc. Some stores are stricter than others.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ben-McKee/1062766820 Ben McKee

I have never had a problem at the Baxter Village or Steele Creek HT. I give them a ton of coupons and never have an issue. Especially at the U-Scan. I highly recommend it!

        • sarahNC

My HT allows 3 coupons/day per same 3 items. Of course, 20 total coupons are allowed.

        • Julie

I never have a problem with internet coupon limits at HT. They do have a limit of 3 like items per customer if using coupons but that's any coupon.

    • momMe

Does HT limit how many of the same item you can buy and use a coupon with it? other than b1g1.

      • http://www.mycouponteacher.com/ Shelly

        3 per transaction

    • Susan

Thank you for all you do! Saving all this money really means a lot to my family!!!

    • tddolce

Does anyone know if H.T. takes Extra Care Bucks from CVS? Also, when coupons are listed as “in store dispenser” were they there from the past or could I still find them? Thanks soooooooooo much can”t wait to save $$$$$ tom!

      • Jennifer

        They do not take ecbs.

      • Julie

My HT took the my Walgreen EB rewards during the last Super Doubles. They should take Cvs's too. They scanned just fine too which the cashier was very surprised that they worked.!

    • joynut

would you go to HT if you lived 45 min away? I usually go, but i have been disappointed the last few times i went. There were people all over the isles making it hard to get through and my coupons didn't double like they were suppose to. I was unable to check it bc i had four kids in tow.

      • momMe

I too live about 45 minutes away (I'm in Summerville). Was it really that busy? I have a very active 3 year old i know its tough trying to do these deals, cant imagine trying to do that with four! Bless your heart a mom is great multitasking right?
So even if i don't get all the deals, we will still get some free things I'm sure and I am planning on taking my little one to the beach while we are out that way so the trip doesn't entirely feel wasted.
Hmm maybe lets start a couponing car pool? LOL

        • michelle1503

I would definately travel! But only early in the morning, it's empty. After five oclock, oh my… your in for it. Especially during triples week!

      • cdarwak

I traveled 55 miles – it was such a nice road trip :) The store in Hendersonville NC is very nice and I spent $43 for $116 worth of groceries … I am new to the whole “couponing” thing, so I think I did pretty good! Use the list Jenny provides, as I noticed many other items are over-priced, even with a tripled .75 coupon. Good Luck!

    • momMe

I found a small deal. Philadelphia cream cheese mini tubs (4pack) $1.79, use 55c blinkie make it 14 cents does not say dnd :)

    • Nancy

Will ya'll give me some feedback about what you think of the buy one, get 2 free chicken breasts? Do you think it's a good deal? I usually buy whole chickens when they are one sale & cook them and use the meat for various dishes. About how much does it end up being per pound for this deal?

      • Jeri

In my store, most of the small packs were about $8.00 for approx 1.5lbs so you would get around 4.5lbs for $8 which works out to about $1.80 per pound. I personally usually buy the frozen 3lb bags at Aldi for $6.29 which is about $2.10 per pound so I think this is a good deal.

      • deniseCLT

if you buy 3 packs, the chicken actually just rings up as 1.66 a pound. so you don't have to worry about finding packs that cost the same price. for boneless, skinless chicken breasts this is an EXCELLENT price. it does not get cheaper.

    • Hilary

I just started using coupons in the past few months and I had a lot of success with Harris Teeter super doubles so I was excited about doing triples. Last time, if the coupon gave a bigger discount than the item cost (ex. the item cost $2 and the coupon tripled for $2.25), it would still take that extra discount ($0.25) off from the total order. This time it didn't do that so I ended up having to pay some since I got a few items that weren't free. I was a little disappointed as I was expecting to pay only 2 cents and I had to pay more. I was wondering if I had just been lucky last time or if this was always their policy?

      • triadsupersaver

They changed their registers months ago so that you you can't get overage on your coupons. If your coupon is for 2.25 and the item is 2.oo, then the register will just auto adjust your savings to 2. I hope that helps

        • Hilary

Oh okay, I didn't realize that! Thanks for your help :)

    • Jeri

Woohoo! Just got back from HT, total before coupons was $40 but only spent $2.53!!! I was able to get the Lysol cleaner and toilet bowl cleaner. Check your toilet bowl cleaners because some of them had hang tags with another $4.00 in various coupons. In my store, they were not the ones in the front. I had to pull a few out to get to the ones that had a coupon tag but will save the coupons for super doubles because most were $1 off. Happy shopping :)

    • shawn

I had a great trip to H.T. this morning. My total before coupons was $61.52 and after coupons it was $8.53. There were alot of couponers and vendors in the store but it was worth it. Thanks Jenny.

    • Anonymous

had a great trip this morning- spent $40 for over $150 worth of groceries. a couple things though- the mccormick deal did not print out for me, even though i bought 3 of the products. and i didn’t see it advertised in the weekly ad, so i didn’t go to customer service, because i had nothing to show them. also, the kellogs cereal deal- i bought 3 boxes and what printed out was a coupon for NEXT time i bought 3 boxes, i’d get a free milk. so, you don’t just buy 3 w/o the printout and get a printout for free milk.

also, my ht had a ton of face care products in the clearance carts for things we have coupons for- oil of olay, neutrogena, loreal and hawaiian tropic sunscreen (see hawaiiantropic.com). make sure to take these coupons w/you in case your store has the clearance too!

      • heather

I did! I bought 3 kelloggs cereal and a recvd a catalina for 1 free gallon milk. I then turned around and rang up my gallon of milk, handed her my catalina and paid -0- oop! Are you sure you read the catalina correctly? Just thought you might want to check. Can't wait to go back tomorrow for more triples!!!

    • http://www.couponcookin.com/ Nikki

I went to Harris Teeter this morning at they had some nice unadvertised deals.
B1G1 on Lunchables $2.95 if you use the $.75/1 coupon from redplum (I believe) you get paid to take it out the door.
Huggies Wipes $3.19 use the $.75/1 coupon from coupons.com, the price is $.94
Goldfish $2.19 use the $.75/1off the Pepperidge Farm website, you get paid to take them away.

      • marysc

Anyone have a zip for the huggies wipes?? I tried several with no luck!

        • jenn

try 28604 or 28607….i remember seeing that coupon…

    • Shannon

Not the best experience this morning at Harris Teeter. Never before have my coupons been scrutinized as they were today. In the past all coupons, even ones that state DND or Triple were always doubled. This morning the cashier looked at all the coupons, put aside all the ones that said DND or triple and then checked the screen for all my other coupons to make sure I had indeed purchased those items. I was in line I know 20 minutes waiting. I got some good deals, but I hate knowing that I'm not cheating anyone, using only the coupons that I have the required items, etc. but being made to look like I am. This whole event is geared towards individuals using coupons, but they were very unfriendly and sighed with disgust.

      • froggymom

Sounds like MY local HT. You're not in NC are you?!

        • sarahNC

My HT in Fayetteville NC is awesome! The bagboy even (offered) pushed my cart w/ 2 small kids in it, to my van this morning (I'm very due w/ #3), and unloaded them and my cart. Also, as for coupon issues, don't have much except for 1 or 2 cashiers who are like what you described, so I just avoid them, and it does help to make friends w/ the ladies at the customer service desk!!! We talk about our kids, etc. etc….

        • Shannon

No, not in NC. I'm in Charlottesville, VA. Usually never have any issues. Today, the manager stood over the cashier when she spotted my stack of coupons. They inspected each one. Set aside all the ones that said DND or Triple, checked the screen to see that I had all the items that I was using coupons for, etc, etc. Good deals, but bad experience. Stores dont realize what a small percentage of us use coupons to this magnitude. THere are ALOT of places I can get deals. Treating me like a crook, will keep me away from these stores. I will just take my coupons to some place else more coupon friendly and doesnt change the rules or there own practices when it suits.

          • froggymom

It's irritating to me that so many of the employees, and even some of the managers, are not capable of comprehending that it doesn't effect THEIR money, so to speak, because manufacturer's reimburse the value of the coupon. They think, at least I think that they think, they are losing money. The only way they lose money is by treating the coupon shoppers poorly, as if we're trying to get something for nothing, and make us feel unwelcome to shop there. A LOT of effort goes in to cutting & organizing your coupons, not to mention, that I PAY for newspapers every weekend. Manufacturer's wouldn't put them out there if THEY didn't want us to use them. I think with a little higher learning or better training in terms of couponing as a whole, store level employees would gain a better understanding of WHY we do it & how it is beneficial for everyone ~ Customer, retailer, & manufacturer! Heck! Even the gov't gets it's part in taxes (at least in NC they do!) It's a shame that we're made to feel like we're cheating somehow by taking advantage of opportunities to save money. I know it's aggravating and I have even felt embarrassed at times by the rudeness shown to me by cashiers. ( Be assured that there are mystery shoppers out there who are paid to go in HT & report experiences that they have. I know HT wants their customers to have a pleasant shopping experience.) I have a HUGE migraine, but still plan to get out there again today! I hope to have a more pleasant trip this time. Late evenings seem to offer a better shopping experience in my store. Hope you are able to have a better trip next time.

    • Heather

Please help!!! Just got back from HT and the cashier and then manager informed me that they will no longer accept ANY printable internet Q that does not CLEARLY have those little circles in the exp. date box and has some “background color” in the middle, be it a colored or b/w printable. Apparently so many copies have been taken and they are cracking down! She told me all the internet q's I have will not be accepted because she could not see those little circles in the box. I nicely explained to her that perphaps it was because I used a b/w laser printer and that's why you couldn't see them? If you look hard you can see them actually, but she said they looked fake to her. Is there something I can do to “tweek” my laser printer or something!!??? I hate to use the colored printer because of expensive ink! I just bought this laser a few months ago soley for printing Q's!! Plus all the ones I have printed are apparently no good. I'm so sad:( Any suggestions on how to fix my printer so it will print those little circles? Thank you……

    • mhs1102

just made my first couponing trip to HT, and they did triple the DO NOT DBL OR TRIPLE coupons. also, are the garbage bags that are not a national brand that are buy 2 get 3 free a good deal and are they an ok product? and i saved $50 on a $75 bill so i was very happy!!

      • froggymom

lucky for you! The man who rung me up looked through all my coupons first to see that none of them said “do not double or triple”, counted to see that I had only twenty, checked the dates, & made sure I no more than 3 of each coupon. Our store is SUPER strict.

As far as the trash bags, check the MIL. That's how you tell how thick the bags are which is usually a good indicator of quality!. If they say .8mil or higher, they'll be a good strong bag. However, I have not personally tried HT's store brand bags. I do use them from other stores.

    • esynan

A while back there was a Gold Medal flour printable coupon floating around somewhere out there (sorry I can't remember where I got it). Its 75 cents off, which when tripled makes for a really good deal on flour!

      • Krista

I *think* it was on coupons.com last month but I don't think they're available to print anywhere now… I loved the .25 cent or so flour though!!

    • carolyn090

for those of you who shop wd fla.1/2 price sale this week scrubbing bubbles , fantastic is 1.25 .wyb 4 .they have some other good deals emerald nuts ,kraft bbq, and a few others i wanted to put it here because i know who important it is to make each of the 20 items count when ht tripples .if anyone is like me and has to drive a good ways to get there .so i think i will get bathroom cleaner an wd and save those leftovers coupons for something really good at ht.

      • carolyn090

also check your family dollar store clairol balsam hair color 3.00 each – 5.00/2 = .50 each.

    • froggymom

In Wilson, NC this morning, I tried to use my Hefty $0.50 coupon & it didn't triple & they had to do it manually. There are probably more circulating that have issues, too, so watch that screen as they ring it up so you can catch it like I did BEFORE you pay!

    • Kat0033

Attention Greensboro Harrist Teeter Shoppers: The Harris Teeter at the Friendly Center just enacted a new policy TODAY and will not double or triple internet coupons. Go to the Harris Teeter on N. Elm because they will!!!!

      • ItsACouponThing

WOW~ are you serious? How can a franchise DO that! And they're at the FRIENDLY Center? Not too friendly, huh? YIKES!

      • Jennifer

Just curious who told you this? I went to Friendly today at lunch time and had no problem with Internet coupons tripling. I just double checked my receipt and all 20 coupons were tripled. I am going to call the store tomorrow before I head there.

        • Kat0033

          Jennifer
I went to Harris Teeter at Friendly early in the morning at 7:00am and they pulled all my internet coupons and said they cannot double or triple them. She even brought over the manager and he agreed and said the policy started that day. I think it does depend on who is working if you have any problems. Everytime I go to the Harris Teeter on N. Elm they never question or have problems.

        • couponclippingfromnowon

Went to HT in Matthews today. Had been armed with coupons on triple deal. Coupons totalled $99 and VIC savings of $56 Total bill was $246 that would have been over $400

    • pranee

Just got back from my frist trip!!!!!
Spent 48 CENTS and saved $40.70!!!! ALSO got a coupon for $2.50 off my next shooping trip bc of mccormick. I LOVE HARRIS TEETER! no issues with internet printables and do not double/tripple.
my store is: 6610 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail.

    • Paige

Like other people have said, the HT in Byers Creek Mooresville checked EVERY single coupon to check if it said Do Not Double/Triple. They made the manager come over and hand punch in the coupon if I still wanted to use it (which I had to with one since my daughter opened the package). They did allow me to give back anything I did not want and were very friendly about it. But, yuck! I didn't get everything I was looking for with my coupons. I think I will stick with Bi-lo since they always double everything.

    • Kristin

When it says you can only use one coupon on 2 items which are b1g1, does that include a coupon that is $$/2. I have a Q for orville redenbacher that is for $2/2 and not sure if I can use it on the b1g1. Or maybe I should save it for kmart doubles?

      • marysc

That is what has happened to me. I had to buy FOUR to use the coupon. I have written corporate about this stupid policy and encourage everyone else to do the same!!

        • froggymom

What's stupid to me is that you can buy 1 @ half price & use a coupon on that one, but you can't use one on the second? They BOTH ring up @ half price so how are you doing anything wrong??? It's absolutely ridiculous. I could possibly understand if one rings up @ regular price & the other rings up for nothing, but when you are paying half price for each item… Give me a break! I've commented on that one myself! Maybe someone up the chain will change that policy!

          • Leann

I had that problem to. Never had that problem before. I told her to put back one of the B1G1 and I would just take one for 1/2 price and use the coupon. I also ask the cashier what would stop me from coming back through and purchasing the other one with the other coupon and she replied, “Nothing.” Makes no sense.

      • kim

I used that exact coupon today with NO problems!

    • Melva B

My local had mgr evic special on finish quantum starter for dishwasher. It was 9.99 less mgr 3.00 off. I then found online coupon for 3.00 off. So I paid 3.99.

    • Nikki

Great Trip to Harris Teeter in Concord, NC. Before coupons my total was around $40. After coupons my total was 68 cents and I got a coupon for $1.50 off my next purchase for the McCormick deal. Woo hoo!!

    • jkkal94

Ok…I have another question. I have a HT coupon printed off the register for the nature's own bagels. Will it triple? Thanks.

      • Heather

I don't think so. It probably says “not subject to doubling” at the top of it? (right about the ht logo)

    • Pamela

Thank you once again, Jenny for this most useful Blog. I continue to reap its benefits. Today, my total OOP at Harris Teeter was $2.74. My total in coupons tendered was $56 and change. Some e-Vic customers are getting $10 off $50, so that is considered in my OOP also. I am also not ashamed to say that this was a very low money week due to the mortgage, With $20 to spare til the next pay day, The $2.74 spent did A LOT to fill my pantry. Thank you again, Jenny and continued blessings as God continues to use you!

      • ItsACouponThing

How do I get the $10 off $50?

        • kestermom

The offer came in my e-vic e-mail…but it's specific. You get $10 off a $50 purchase of meat.

    • narrowgate

There's a new catalina offer for Pillsbury that runs from 3/22 to 4/18. Buy Pillsbury refrigerated crescents, cookies, sweet rolls, grands! biscuits, grands! cinnamon rolls, pie crusts, dinner rolls, loaves, breadsticks or pizza crusts

Buy 4 get $2, Buy 5 get $3, or buy 6 get $4 off your next order

For triples week, you can buy 6 crescents rolls for $10, use (3) $0.50/2 coupons. OOP $5.50 and get back $4. Cost 25 cents each.

      • nancycrom

Do you know for sure this is a catalina deal for HT? I once bought the items for a catalina deal i knew of, but at Lowes Foods, and it didn't print. I think maybe the deals are store specific Thanks.

        • narrowgate

I bought 2 cinnamon rolls today at HT, and the catalina machine printed out a paper with the deal on it.

          • nancycrom

Thanks for posting the deal! I'm going tomorrow to get the small pkg of biscuits for .99 ea. I have some .35/3 coupons, together with the catalina deal, should bring it to a mm overage of .16.

    • SAVNDIVA

I had a good trip today to the Ft Mill, SC HT. I spent $14.44 and saved $49.42. I was not able to use 2 coupons for the Sara Lee bread because one was free. I also had a B1G1 and $1/2 coupons for the Tropicana OJ, but they would not let me use the $1/2 coupon. Also, I earned $5 off my next visit because I earned 40 points for purchasing oral care products at HT. I have gotten all of my oral care products cheap with coupons.

Thanks Jenny for all you do for us!

I had a VERY frustrating experience this morning at the Kernersville, NC store this morning and spoke with several other women who felt the same way I do. It appeared that several of the “regular price” non-VIC special items that were highly discounted or FREE with the triple coupons had been pulled from the shelves. I asked if they had any in the back and I was told that items such as “NO-Yolks” had not been “seen” in several weeks. REALLY??? You can't tell me that there's a sudden shortage of egg noodles!!

      • catherine

I have been up there a lot lately (in kivlle) and noticed that the No Yolks have been gone for weeks. A few weeks ago I was able to get two packs for free….and have not seen them since!!!!!

      • beth

The egg noodles were BOGO 2 weeks ago. So, with the doubled $0.75 coupon it was a great deal. They ran out on egg noodles in my HT early on in the sale week. They just haven't gotten their stock in yet to replenish the demand from their BOGO deal on egg noodles.

    • megsc

Does anyone know how the Charleston, SC store will look tonight? I am new to couponing and have never been there on a triples day. I want to know if things were already sold out that were free with triple coupons or if it will be worth it go tonight around 7? Thanks and I appreciate all the work put into this website! :)`

      • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/CXUDNREHIRBNQ4QN5DFYX47CSI Diana

The Mt Pleasant on Long Point was out of a LOT of stuff by 3:30 when I finally made it….not sure what the Downtown one will look like.

    • Nancy Bair

      Today's totals…$251.39 before sales and coupons…paid $29.40 !!!!

      • DavidzGirl

I am amazed when I see posts like this!!! I am going on my 1st shopping trip tonight, and of course, and still completely overwhelmed by all of this, but I just wanted to ask, with only being able to use 20 coupons, how do you save this much? I just want to get as good as you guys!

        • Nancy Bair

I went to 4 different HT's with 4 different VIC cards. I had mine, my mom's, my dad's and a random one I found in an old purse. I did my 20 coupon max with each of them. I did it again today and went to 3 HT's and my totals were $161.42 before sales and coupons and I paid $14.99!!!

          • Ridiculous

And anyone wonders WHY they are out of everything??? :(

        • Julie inNC

One way I save a lot is to get rain checks for the items when they are out. The rain checks never expire at HT so even if my coupons expire on the sale items I know they most likely will come out again. Today I was able to get Dukes Mayo for .50 with my rain checks and plan on getting Toilet tissue and bags of meatballs very cheap on my next trip. I also like that if my freezer is too full I can use a rain checks later and get the same cheap deal when I am ready.

          • iammy5kidsmom

But you can't use the triple coupons later, right? So the meatballs would not be nearly as cheap.

            • Julie

When I get rain checks I know that the coupons wont triple later but HT tends to have triples about once a month in the warmer months. The coupons usually come back out later too. Then I match them with the new coupons to make the deals. Sometimes the new coupons are even better deals. I still try to get the item now if possible but if everything is out I get lots of rain checks. If your Harris Teeter is out of The Oscar Myer bacon deal then if they have super doubles soon the new 1.50 coupon I have will double during a Super Double sale and it will make it free. Tonight I used lots of rain checks and my order was less than 4.00 and I saved 46.78. The Ester C vitamin is free but they are all sold out. With my rain check I can use the 5.00 coupon anytime after the sale but before it expires and still get it free!

            • Julie

iammy5kidsmom, I wanted to mention I would also still get the meatball rain check on the B1G1 deal they have going on because HT doubles coupons everyday and if all else fails you can double the coupon and still get a bag for only .75 OOP on the regular days after the sale.

I am new to this site and to couponing, so I had no idea what to expect at Harris Teetet triples today. At the Wilmington, NC store they were super friendly and the cashier was actually excited that I had so many coupons. I have only been saving coupons and printing them online for a few days, butI spent $86.29 and saved $85.65! I have enough chicken and meat to last 2 weeks and got some pantry staples like French's mustard and country crock butter for free! I got 3 packs of chicken breast for 2.94 and 3 (6 oz) Stonyfield yogurts for free! I am excited to see how my weekly bill reduces when I can accumulate even more coupons. Grocery shopping is fun again!

    • Linda

Is the triples only one day? Today 3/24? I live in Goose Creek, SC and thought about going to the HT in Mt Pleasant but I am not sure if I will make it after work….

      • Nancy Bair

        it's today through next tuesday

      • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/CXUDNREHIRBNQ4QN5DFYX47CSI Diana

I was just there and they are out of over 1/2 of the items on the “free” list…and a bunch of other things are out too. Just beware. I'm not sure when they restock.

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/CXUDNREHIRBNQ4QN5DFYX47CSI Diana

I'm new to this and so haven't been to a “triples” day before….they were out of a LOT of things by the time I got there. Do they generally restock these items during the sale so I can try to go bright and early on another day this week?

      • kim

Dont' go tomorrow, it's senior day so between the triples and the senior discount there won't be anything until they restock. Perhaps early Sat. morning!

        • chele17

I guess that's why I was the youngest shopper there yesterday, and I'm 40.LOL

    • kidsallgone

How old is a “senior” for Harris Teeter? Someone mentioned it was senior day on Thursday. Hope it's the same age as Belks! LOL! I just tried to check on their website and it was down for “maintenence.” They're probably trying to figure out just what the heck went on today and are changing all the rules! YIKESSS!! LOL!!! Attempting to go there Thursday….Thanks for any replies on the “senior” age for HT.

    • Jen

I went to HT today and the cashier would not take my $5 off of Ester C vitamins because, “the coupon exceeds the value of the product” I think the product was around $4.50 since it was B1G1. I have never heard of this. It seems that I've used several coupons that “exceeded the value” I mean, after all – that's how we get some things for FREE, right? or am I mistaken?? I wanted to try the vitamins but I just had her take it off of my bill because I didn't want to pay the full sale price since I DID bring a coupon with me.

      • reginamarie

I had a cashier do the same thing over Mentos gum. It bottle was on sale for $.99 after $.55 Qn, it would have exceeded the sale price is what I was told. I put it back. I kept asking her about the register automatically adjusting the multiplied amount. She said the registers don't do that!?! She was also very rude about several other things to, not just the gum and coupon value.

        • marysc

I would have asked for a manager. The HT registers DO adjust to eliminate overage.

    • Mika

Everyone, be very very careful when you hand your coupons to the cashier (Especially when you have large amounts)
I've had several occasions when some coupons weren't scanned. So, I am opting for handing one by one and hearing the “ring”.
      Goodluck

      • Kristin

I've found that it helps to alternate your coupons (stack them so that they're facing different directions). This way, they don't stick together and your cashier doesn't grab two…I figured this out after having many coupons no scanned.

      • Julie

I agree, I always make sure to count my coupons closely and if I have 20 coupons I also make sure to watch the screen to make sure they are doubled or tripled. I also look at the receipt closely after check out but before I leave the store to make sure 20 were scanned and 20 were tripled. The Taco seasoning coupons are always a problem and often times do not double or scan for some odd reason. If a coupon beeps and manager has to override the coupon sometimes it does not get doubled, so watch very close. One more thing If an item rings up different than the shelf price or advertised price it should be FREE per HT policy.

I made a little discovery that even amazed the manager at my local HT in Aldie, VA (this also worked at the HT in Chantilly, VA). If a meat is discounted due to it's sell by date, and the same variety of meat is B1G1, the discounted price is halved. For example from my expedition yesterday: Chuck Roast, orginial price $12.21; discounted price $8.55; and price at check out $4.27. That was only $1.40 per pound!!! They had 3, so I bought all 3. This also worked on London Broil a couple of weeks ago.

      • Krista

Thanks! I have always wondered if it worked this way but have never had the time to try it out- now I know!!

    • Clemson Tigette

My HT in Aldie, VA had 12 oz of French's yellow and Sicy brown mustards for $1.50, so with the $.50 coupons they were free. It's to the point that the manager knows me and always comes over to my register at check out. He almost always needs to override my purchase b/c I save too much!!! Thank you Jenny!!!

    • Becky

Does anyone know of a savings website/blog for the West Coast area?

    • Pam

This is my first experience with triples at HT and, so far, it has been great! I went yesterday after work and they were out of alot of the items I intended to get, so I ended up only using 13 coupons (since my husband was rushing me so we would not be late for church). I spent $11.28 OOP and saved $30.54, and that OOP was skewed by approx. $3 with the Nestle Quick chocolate milk & gum my husband just had to have and that was NOT on sale.
I went again this morning before work hoping they had restocked during the night. Some things had been restocked, but still did not have many of the items I wanted to get. I did get to use my total 20 q's, spend $14.18 OOP and saved $43.97. I did find it strange this morning when the cashier (whose name tag was labeled “office assistant”) felt the need to let me know that HT is a profit sharing company and the coupons come out of their profit and decrease the profit sharing – while this was in conjunction with her pointing out to me a new posting at the register about their coupon policy, including a new policy that if an internet coupon beeps and won't go through on its on they will not take it. Although all of my coupons went through without issue,I felt like she was assuming that I was “cheating” their coupon system.

    • couponqueen

I went to the HT in Greenbrier Chesapeake. They told me they were no longer triple all internet coupons. I just went there yesterday and they trpled them. Is this new policy?

    • judahfour

Is the Foster Farms chicken q coming up for anyone? I live in Chas SC and the q was not in the Sunday insert noted. Also the link reads, no coupons available. any help?

    • megan10

Saved $71.09 dollars in coupons today at Harris Teeter, Total OOP was $13.05 and that included 3 packs of chicken breasts. Great Day!

    • megan10

Saved 71.09 dollars in coupons today. Before coupons 84.14, after coupons 13.05, and that included 3 packs of chicken breasts, great day!

    • megan10

At the harris teeter in Kernersville, nc on main street, anyone have any luck finding the ronzoni smart taste pasta, reeses dark cups, and the lifesavers strings & rings, or the ziploc bags for $2.00. I couldn't find these items anywhere. Also the coffee mate creamer powder is the wrong size for the coupon but the coffeemate creamer 16 oz. liquid in the refrigerated section is on sale for $2.00 so thats free with your coupon. Any luck on finding the above items, let me know? Thanks.

      • LM

I am not in Kernersville but none of those were in Burlington either.

    • Supermombeaufort

New to SS and drove to Charleston HT on Wed (1 hour away) but went in the afternoon. So many things were already gone! I concentrated so much shopping trying to match my coupons that I had a headache when I left! The savings made it better, though..

      • ItsACouponThing

It was the same in Rock Hill, SC. The manager said they'd just put a bunch of stuff out this morning, and things just flew off the shelves! The happy news is that you can get a RAIN CHECK, and when the sale is over and all is calm, you can go buy those things!

    • Cynthia

I am new at couponing and was wondering…how long do I need to keep the coupon inserts from Sunday's papers?

I am starting to collect quite a stack of them and am afraid to throw any of them away.

      Thanks for your help!

      • megan10

I keep all my coupons until they expire. You never know when a free deal or a really good deal is gonna come along.

      • marysc

I just used two from October. Jenny listed them last week.

I keep the older ones in small sized paper bags labeled with the dates of the inserts (in the garage). When I retrieved the October ones, I threw out the ones from last summer.

Some people write the latest expiration date of a coupon in that insert on the front cover (along with the date) and then they can go back and pitch the inserts once that date is past. Too much work for me… I just keep them all.

Having said all that, very very few coupons are good for more than 6 months, and the vast majority are good for less than 3 months. So if space or organization is an issue, you'd be fine keeping them somewhere in that range of dates.

    • nancycrom

*** I wanted to share some deals i found that i didn't see listed. These are the prices at my HT, south of Charlotte.
      Chinet hot cups 2.50 -.75 = .25
      Organic valley half & half 2.39 -.75=.14
Pillsbury jr biscuits .99 -.35/3 -4.00 catalina wyb 6 = free (actually overage of .16)
      Hormel chili 1.79 -.55=.14
      Rosina meatballs 2.22 -.75=free
      Weight watchers ice cream 2.50-.75=.25
      Joy soap .99 -.30=.09
KC masterpiece bbq sauce 1.50 -.50= free

I keep all of my coupons cut out & in a binder, so i don't know which insert they're from. But there are coupon listing websites you can look that up on.

      • chmommy

It looks like the Rosina Meatballs coupon is only for 28-32 oz? This price is for 12 oz. and says do not double. The cashier of computer didn't catch that?

      • couponnovice

I had that Rosina coupon but it said not to double so I didn't use it. Does that not matter?

    • Devon

I just got back from a trip to HT on houston longcut in mt p…It was the best trip I've experienced during a tripling event. I got almost everything on my list and found some extra deals. The minute rice in individual cups is on sale and w/ 50 cent q ended up 17cents!

    • ItsACouponThing

In Rock Hill the store did not print a deal for the
McCormick seasoning ($1.50 off order wyb 2). (Maybe each store does what it wants?)

    • Julie

I was able to get Birdseye frozen vegetables in the 2lb bag for only .39. They were still on sale B1G1 at 1.89 a bag -.50 3/21 coupon tripled. The Nestle Chocolate chips were only .64 after the .75 printable coupon I had was tripled. Also Colgate site has some good .75 coupons to print that may be good deals on the HT Oral products promo they have going on.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1494390232 Christen Carter

those coupons make the colgate 25cents…i stocked up with those coupons :)

    • sherrolyn

I hope to go to the Charleston HT tomorrow to enjoy my first triple coupon experience. My problem is that I just signed up online for my VIC card, so I won't have the actual card yet. Does anyone know if I am wasting my time to go without the actual card in in hand? Or, will they just put my phone number in the register like they do at BiLo and CVS?

      • hhimommy

They should just type in your phone number. They do that all the time when people forget their cards.

    • amillee

Okay – I'm brand new to couponing, but I got in on this one and today, I got over $63 worth of things I regularly buy for $12!! That's an 80% savings!!! I'm hooked!

    • hhimommy

I'm not a big HT shopper but couldn't pass up triple coupons. However, I was surprised that they would not take a coupon for an item in the clearance bin (it had a yellow clearance sticker). Again, they'll get reimbursed by the mfg so what's the deal? Also, they would not take a mfg coupon that happened to come from the Target website (and had the red logo on it). I confirmed this with the customer service desk, too, and they wouldn't budge on it. That's just craziness. I think I'll stick to my Publix (prices there ARE lower than HT so I'm ok that mine won't double low value coupons) and hit HT ONLY for things I need during triples. Bummer.

      • deniseCLT

my ht in charlotte takes coupons for items out of the clearance bin. the coupon has to be manually entered in though because the clearance items scan in as “general merchandise” so the register doesn't recognize that you bought the item. but the manager always just comes over and fixes it. i'm sorry that yours won't do this!

    • Ligia

I don't know if any of you tried to use the $10 off $20 K mart coupon at Harris Teeter , I tried and they accept !!! I was able to get so many things for free with that coupon…by the way the Harris Teeter I go is the one at Bristow ,VA. The cashier sad that when its a competitor coupon ($ off total) they have to accept and make it work even if doesn't scan!!! Very nice cashier!!!

      • Jamie

The day that coupon came out I called my local HT in Morehead City to ask if they would accept it, and they told me no because Kmart is not a “grocery” store so they don't view them as a competitor. :(

    • megan10

Does anyone know how to get and look up the harris teeter ad before wednesday, example look at it on tuesday to plan a shopping trip on wednesday when the sales start? Just curious, I know Jenny was able to do this last week for triple coupon week, just curious how she did it.
