When I went to get the Pizza coupons.. it print options were under my control and I was able to print multiple coupons. Is there any reason we can't use 5 coupons?

      • megan10

My harris teeter wont let you use more than 2 coupons for the buy 2 get 3 free, the cashier told me they ring up different than the buy 1 get 1 free, and you are actually only paying for 2, so they can't use coupons on the items you are getting for free. I don't know it may be different at different stores or it could have been that particular cashier.

        • Also, Harris Teeter only allows you to use two identical internet coupons at a time. You'd have to come back and use the others in separate transactions.

          • MandM

Although I think it's in their written policy, it depends on the store. I have one store that I can use 10 q's on same item if I wanted to…and can't at the one 5 m away!

            • angellangley

It totally depends on the cashier. I have 1 lady that I will wait for cause she will take any coupon, as long as its not expired. There is another 1 that matches the coupon to the item, which sucks and takes too long.

        • angellangley

use self checkout. they will never know. they just scan them, and they work cause the coupon thinks u are buying 5.

          • Heather

Can't use the self checkout at my HT….the cashiers that watch over those seem to look for any little thing to give Q's back!

            • kim

The HT in Brentwood, Tn. acts like they are doing you a favor by being there, they don't realize that we DO have a choice in where we spend our money. They scrutinize every coupon and need customer service classes!

          • MandM

I used self-checkout and they only let me us coupons for 2 pizzas. Usually anything flies like you said, but not today.

            • jan

              Thanks guys… that helps!

          • SUE

            That's just WRONG!!!!

      • Patagonia

How did you get the print options under your control? It opens up in adobe for me and I cannot control it. I dont want to print this coupons just because pretty much the whole page it black and it will waste the printer ink.

        • I have never had the problem you're talking about, but maybe you need to check your printer preferences before you try again. Your default might be to print or save as a pdf file.

          • Sorry, I misunderstood your question.

        • jan

Well.. mine appears to be in adobe.. it opened under a new tab. And I have a print option in the top left hand of that page. It is black around the coupon but that didn't print on my printer. Its showing as a pdf.

      • Kathy

Were you able to edit the coupon so that it didnt print on the entire page and use all that black ink?

        • Brittney

I am having the same problem… Because the coupon prints over the whole page (like 2/3 of an 81/2×11 paper) it looks fake! Is anyone having problems using these large coupons at the store?

          • jan

Do you have an option to enlarge or reduce your thumbnails size? Maybe that will help! Thats under “tools” on the pdf.

        • jan

I'm not sure whats going on.. my printed small in the center of the page.

    • hilary

can’t find the nature’s own bread printable on coupons.com. what zip?

      • I used 28214. But as I said, I don't think it'll work because it's for a different variety of bread. If anyone knows for sure that it will work, please reply and let us know.

        • angellangley

it will work as long as the 5 #'s on the coupon match the 1st 5 #'s on the bread

        • gabrielmorris

I used the coupon today for the Whitewheat bread and there were no problems.
          Florence, SC HT

        • MandM

          I used today too…

        • angellangley

It works. I got my free bread 2day!!!

      • angellangley

        try 29715

      • AlisonR

        I used 63366.

    • The Nature's Own printable coupon is for any 100% Natural Specialty Premium bread. I don't think it'll work for the Whitewheat bread.

      • angellangley

As long as the first 5#s on the coupon are the same as the bread bar code, it will work. You can use a coupon on anything within that code. Examble skintimate shave gel was on sell for 1.99 and i had a .75 edge coupon. because they started with the same #'s i used it.

        • I thought you had to get what is actually described on the coupon.

          • leigh

wow, me too! have i been missing this all along? any more insight / advice on the subject?

            • A lot of people (including moi) don't really think it's ethical.

            • SUE

You are sooooo right. It's coupon fraud and no wonder the cashiers watch all coupons when so many people try to use wrong ones and take advantage of the situation!

            • angellangley

It's not like they don't get their money back. I am pretty sure that someone buys the item without a coupon. They actually host a class that teaches you this, so I bet their are millions doing this. Why not save money if you can? Things are really expensive these days. It's a win win situation. You get a deal, and they get paid back for it. I personally don't think its a big deal.

            • SJK

sure glad i do not have stock in P&G.
so lame, this coupon fraud you are advertising to everybody on this blog is going to eventually ruin it for all of us.
like pulling off all the wine tags you can possibly find (you know who you are), pulling off the pealy coupon off of a product(s) you are not buying. this is suppose to be a fun game to save your family money, not work the system and basically “cheat” at it.
sure hope your kids aren't paying attention, not a good way to teach integrity.
              ya think?

            • Roxybigd

my husband works for HT and a lot of times they don't get their money back on certain coupons.

            • SUE

I'm sorry but you sound dishonest and will try anything to scam the store or cashier. Do you have a conscious? It really makes it look bad for the ones trying to be honest.

          • angellangley

No. They will accept the coupon as long as those #'s match. A friend of mine that took a coupon class was taught this. I have thrown a many of coupons away that could have been used!!

            • me

The store does NOT have to accept the coupon if you are using it fraudulently, and using it on anything other than what is stated in the wording is improper usage of the coupon.

People, coupons are only as smart as the code in the UPC. Guess what? There's not enough space in a standard coupon barcode for a coupon to code in every little detail of a coupon, there is only a limited amount of information that they can convey in that small string of numbers. That's why there is WORDING on the coupon to tell you what the manufaturer's intent is for that particular coupon. Coupons and cash registers are only as smart as the numbers on the coupon, and unfortunately it is all too easy for some people to use those numbers to their advantage b/c YES a coupon will 'work' for many many items that it is NOT intended to work for, if you know what you're looking for.

Have you ever noticed that odd-looking barcode to the right of the 'regular' barcode on some coupons? Guess what. That's the format that all coupons will be switched over to eventually, and that particular barcode format is able to hold A LOT more information than the traditional barcode and will not be able to be 'decoded' – at least not as easily as the traditional barcodes – and is going to seriously cut back on a lot of the fraudlent activity that currently takes place.

It's really sad that there are classes that actually teach people how to use their coupons fraudulently. Why do you think a lot of honest couponers have so much trouble doing LEGITIMATE deals? B/c the stores catch people doing things they are not supposed to be doing, over and over again, and they begin to lose trust in all couponers and think that ALL of us are cheap and just out to get free stuff even if it's not legitimate.

And let me add, there are PLENTY of opportunities to save money and get things for free without having to resort to such low-down tactics as using coupons that you hope the cashier is not gonig to actually read.

      • tizzy

That is the coupon I used and it worked for me…i've done it two different days = 2 free loaves of bread!!

      • tizzy

The Whitewheat bread is a specialty premium bread, so it will work – and isn't coupon fraud. ;+)

    • Patagonia

Ok, so I am new to couponing… so I am sorry if this is a dumb question. So you know how they list an item and then they have like 4 coupons listed after it? Can all those coupons be used at once because they all came from different sources? Or are they just showing you there different coupon options that are available for that specific item.

For Example: The Kellogs cereal posted above. It is $2.49 cause the B1G1 and then minus another $2.20 in all the other discounts listed… therefore, the total price would only be $0.29. Am I reading this correctly? or is it that you use only one of those coupons listed?

      • Hey there,

I actually list all the possible coupons for you since you want to stock up on any items that are on sale (get about 6 weeks worth to getyou through until the next sale for that product). So this way you can find mutiple coupons and have one per item. You are only allowed that 1 per item though so if you are only buying 1 you need to pick which of all those coupons you want to use.

    • A tip I learned from a friend the other day: If you want to check the current prices of items at Harris Teeter that aren't in the ad, you can go to the HT website and click on Express Lane. Pick a store near you and you can search for specific brands and see what the prices are. They also include sale prices.

    • There's a big penguin-shaped floor display with tear-off pads of all kinds of frozen foods at my HT. It includes $2 off 4 Birds Eye Steamfresh.

    • Bettyann

If its BOGO and I only buy one can I use a coupon that says $1.00/2. OR do I have to do what the coupon says and buy 2 ???????????????

      • angellangley

        You have to buy 2

    • Icejas

Can someone tell me where Marcal products are sold. Thanks.

      • mightymousemom

I have seen Marcal products at Harris Teeter

        • icejas

Thanks. I live in Harris Teeter (or so it seems) and I have never seen the Marcal toilet rolls or paper towels, Thanks though, I will look again. Appreciate it:)

        • sheabird

Bi-lo and Earthfare is the only place i have seen them.

      • Emily

HT used to sell Marcal products, but at least in NOVA, don't anymore. :(

      • nancycrom

Go to their website Marcalpaper.com, they have a map that will show you which stores in your zipcode area sell their stuff.

my HT in Durham, NC had a few unadvertised sales that there were Qs for:

Mahatma long grain raice – 3lb bag were 2/$4. Use .50/1 Qs from RP 2/07, made it $1 ea

      Electrosol tabs, 32 ct. B1G1 at $6.99 ($3.49). Use $1 any from SS 2/07, made it $2.49 ($0.07 per tab) – I needed/wanted these!

Buy 7 participating Quaker items in one transaction and get $3 off bill. I got 4 boxes quaker squares cereal which were 2/$5 (and used (4) $1/1 from RP 2/14 – yes she let me use 4, YMMV) and 3 intant oatmeal at 2/$5 (used (3) $1/1 from RP 2/07). Got all 7 boxes for $7.50. Maybe not the best deal, but we love the stuff!
FYI – manager had to take off the $3; it didn't come off by iteself but he confirmed I got the right stuff.

has anyone been able to get the stonyfield yogurt printable coupon to work? when I click on it, it says the page is no longer available?

      • When you click on that link, you’ll see a link for Stonyfield.com. Click on that and then click on Coupons & Offers at the top of that page. You have to sign up, and you can only print one coupon.

anyone having problem getting the palermo's coupons to scan? the HT policy is if the IP doesn't scan they can't take it. I've been when they would type it in and also when they wouldn't. anyone gotten it to scan?

      • bridget

I have used those Palermo's coupons in the past, and they had to be over-ridden. My favorite manager told me that that particular coupon is coded strangely, and it will always beep – has nothing to do with the print quality or anything within your control. The best you can do is hope for a friendly manager who understands that some coupons will always beep (I have also had wine tags from certain companies that always beep too, and they are not even internet printables). Good luck!

I had a similar problem a few weeks ago with a Borden cheese coupon that I had printed. One coupon scanned and the other didn't. My cashier and floor supervisor would not take the coupon. The store manager was on vacation.

So, I ended up at HT corporate offices! There a vp told me that if I have 2 printed coupons and have fulfilled the purchasing requirements that the cashier and supervisor should have over-ridden and taken the coupon.

We talked about printing coupons and how it is just not a perfect science yet….but, it is the future of couponing!

If you have a store that will not take a good coupon I would insist on speaking to a manager….and their manager…and their manager. Most understand that us couponers make them a lot of money! They don't want to loose our business.

I found two $2 off 1 All detergent! That makes it $1.99 each :o)

      • stephanie

where did you find them? i can't seem to find any.

    • Juli

I found Betty Crocker instant mashed potatoes (pouches) on sale for $0.77 each. I bought (4) & used (4) coupons for $0.40 off each. The coupons said “Do Not Double”, but the HT in Florence, SC did double them so I got all (4) pouches of potatoes for FREE!!!

      • pegglegg

I used the same coupons at a store in fort mill sc and it worked! thanks for posting!

Note that the barcode for the Palermo's Pizza coupon does not match the wording. The coupon states “Save $1.00 on any Palermo's Pizza” but is coded as a 33 meaning that it is really a $1.00 off two items. Based on the wording it should be coded as a 76.

I discovered this back when Harris Teeter had the Palermo's on B1G1 during super doubles. The first Q would work fine but the 2nd Q would beep requiring them to override it. So I tried a transaction with just 1 pizza and the stupid register beeped. That's when I checked the barcode on the Q and realized it was coded inconsistent with the coupon wording (not that any cashier would even begin to understand this).

I mention this in case anyone gets a Harris Teeter to accept more than 3 coupons. 3 coupons will work since you are buying 7 pizzas. But if by some odd chance you get a cashier that lets you do more than 2 coupons be prepared for the 4th to beep as you do not have enough pizzas to meet the barcode criteria.

      • guest

The coupon says 'Save $1.00 When You Buy Any 2 Palermos Pizzas'. That means it's coded correctly. Unless you're finding a different coupon on the site than what I'm finding.

        • walter

Correct. I am referring to a different coupon with the wording of “Save $1.00 on any Palermo's Pizza”. This is the coupon that Palermo's will email you as a .pdf when you sign up. It is coded as $1 off two pizzas which explains why it beeps on people who are not expecting it to beep.

          • walter

I guess the moderator doesn't like links so my other comment isn't showing up.

Here's the deal with Palermo's. They have two different coupons on their site.

One has the proper wording and an expiration date of 12/31/10. This is accessible on their main website at the top via the “Download Coupon” button.

The other coupon is given after you register (click the Join La Famiglia on the far right). Once you register and give your email address you get a coupon that is worded incorrectly and has a 3/31/10 expiration date.

            • guest

Ah okay. Thanks for the clarification.

And yes, if you post anything with a link in it on this site, it does not show up until it's been approved by a moderator. Not exactly sure why.

Heads up that you may have trouble using the BOGO nabisco internet coupon at Harris Teeter. The CS mgr said they will not accept internet coupons that are for “FREE” products – store policy. Anyone know if Target will?

      • MandM

HT told me that too. I have used at Target w/ no problem.

        • leigh

Thanks for letting me know! I gotta find somewhere to buy my cookie….TODAY! haha. Lowes foods has the same policy as HT. RATS. To Target it is, I suppose.

      • tizzy

Food Lion will take those — actually my local Food Lion had the cookies BOGO anyway – so when she rang up the coupon I actually got 2 packs of cookies free.

    • beth

I just went to HT to use the Palermo pizza coupons on that deal. I had two coupons. The first one went thru fine, the second one beeped. The mgr was right there and came to override for the cashier. He looked at the coupon and said that these were fraudulent coupons and that Palermo will not reimburse HT for them. He took both of them from me, but scanned a coupon that gave me $1 off of 2, so better than nothing. Just a heads up.

      • walter

These are not fraudulent – just coded wrong by the manufacturer. The “Save $1.00 on any Palermo’s Pizza” coupons are from their site from this link when you sign up:

        http://www.palermoslafamiglia.com/lafamiglia/serve-pdf.aspx

The following link is from their main page (click on Print Coupon):

        http://www.palermospizza.com/pdf/Palermo%27s%20ECoupon%20EX%20123110.pdf

As you can see, both coupons are from their site and both are coded as 75706 15033 where the 33 at the end means $1 off 2 items.

So it is not a fraudulent coupon but rather a screw up by the manufacturer. Don’t blame the consumer on this one.

      • walter

That $1 off one pizza is not fraudulent as it is from the Palermo's site itself. See my other comment regarding the fact that they have two different coupons on their site which is causing all sorts of confusion for people.

It will definitely be interesting to see how HT addresses this when they go to get reimbursed for these coupons. Palermo's screwed up on this one.

    • Susan

My Harris Teeter would not take the free Nabisco Cookie coupon. They said they do not take internet coupons for free items.

      • That's a bummer. My coupon said free with purchase of a gallon of milk and it worked fine at Walgreen's. Yummy oreo's and milk!

        • walter

Walgreen's had milk for 2.79 at my local store and cookies on sale for 3.99 making this a sweet deal.

    • bkhargett

I went to HT today and the Quantums were priced BOGO at 9.99. Still a good deal for me with the 3/1 coupons, but I wonder how one store price can differ that much from anothers. My store was Monroe, NC. Anyone else see a different sale price on these?

      • madpaulmom

They ar 9.99 here in Concord too.

    • The BOGO taht Starburst put out of their FB page this week was not excepted either,

    • Cathy

Get an even better deal on ALL detergent if you have a Lowe's Foods. I prefer NOT to shop there, but I did solely to get ALL for 99 cents. It is on sale for 2.99 and for a lot of us in NC, we received $2 off ALL in the 2/07 insert. Making the detergent 99 cents. Go figure – even though the coupons were EXACTLY for 50 oz or larger All, and I bought the correct size, it still beeped! The cashier pushed it through.. but Lowe's is notorious for being ridiculous about coupons.

      • alisa

        what 2/7 insert

        • Cathy

          RP

    • pegglegg

the quaker true delights are on sale this week, good deal on the rice cakes use the 75 cent off coupon and get them for 17 cents, also there is a printable coupon for coffee mate for 75 cents off makes the creamer 17 cents and i used the bread coupon and it worked!!

The link for the $1/2 Ragu sauce doesn't bring up any Ragu sauce. ??? Would love to get this! Any ideas?

At my HT in Florence, the Steamfresh Veggies were not BYG1 but 2/5.00. Anyone else notice this? Also, there was no tearpad coupon for the Green Giant canned veggies??

      • jessica1970

When I shopped they were b1g1. (I shop in florence) I think the Green Giant were 2 for 5. Green Giant and Birdseye are in 2 different spots. Hope that helps.

    • smithfamily1

Has anyone else heard that triple coupons is this Thursday at the HT?

    • angellangley

Does anyone know what the points by our name mean?

    • blueeyes99

There are new coupons @ coupons.com.

Has anyone else had trouble with HarrisTeeter not taking Free or BOGO internet coupons. Today they told me the Corporate has told them not to take internet coupons that offer a FREE item.

      • Chonda

My Harris Teeters will not accept the Free or BOGO internet q's either. I just take those to a different store.

That is the coupon I used and it worked for me…i've done it two different days = 2 free loaves of bread!!

    • tizzy

The Whitewheat bread is a specialty premium bread, so it will work – and isn't coupon fraud. ;+)

    • tizzy
