Thank you so much for all you do to post the deals, coupons, ads, etc. I could not imagine how much time it takes. Love your site and use it everyday.

    • There is a $.75/1 printable Sargento reduced sodium cheese on coupons.com- at least it was there when I printed it earlier. It will make for some free cheese if the reduced sodium is included

      • soma

yes i just got that right now.

      • Bridget

The reduced sodium is included! Free cheese – hooray!

I must also say, your site is my favorite for coupon match-ups with deals. It's very easy to use and I love being able to print my list right from your site. Thank you, THANK YOU for all that you do to help us save money!

    • tahsha

Does anyone know much about how they are with returns? There is no way I can get there in the morning like I normally would. I do however have to go tonight to take advantage of the General Mills instant savings deal (I have a rain check from a previous sale that makes for some free cereal!) I'm considering buying what I'm wanting to use coupons on tomorrow tonight (at regular price with no qs) and then tomorrow evening when I go in, just take everything back and get a full refund and then buy it all back with my coupons. We only have 1 HT in town, and I know that there will be NONE of the good deals left by the time I could get there tomorrow night. I'm sure that they'll frown on this since they won't let me even do 2 transactions with the same card back to back to split up b1g1s, but can they really refuse if I have my receipt?

      • sc

It's an idea, but I would not do that. I think they would be really annoyed and would allow you to return it all but would probably not allow you to buy it back to use your coupons. I don't know for sure about HT, but many grocery stores have a policy that when a food product has left the store, that it cannot be returned and then resold, because the food may have been tampered with, left unrefrigerated, etc. In your case, you would be buying back food that was in your own possesion, but I bet they'd still invoke this policy on you (if HT has it) just because they'd be so annoyed.

        • jessica1970

That, and its just poor taste.

    • 1tougholdbroad

Harris Teeter in Nashville TN just told me they were not having triples. Bummer

      • Rita

I just called the Brentwood HT and they said they are having triples tomorrow. Hopefully you just got some bad information. I would call back. If one area store participates, they all should.

        • jenr

I just left the hillsboro village, and stocked up!! they sure are having triples!!

    • karencoupons

I am new to your site and I love it!!!!! Thank you!!

I do have a couple of questions. First – why do you recommend being there really early when HT has their triples? Do you find that they run out of the items with the best deals. I usually go frequently since I can only use 20 coupons a day and don't remember having many problems.

Also do you know of a website that lists all of the coupons that come in the newspaper in one place? IE if I am looking for a coupon for something but don't want to look at every page of your weekly inserts to see it or look through all of my coupons?

      Thanks again!

      • jess

Yes, that's why she recommends going early, for the best selection. I get there right at 7 when my store opens. I live in a small town and alot of times by the second or third day into triples they are wiped out of alot. You beat the crowd too by going early

      • Shelly

Often the newspaper's website lists the coupons that were included in your newspaper. Ours (Raleigh News and Observer) has a downloadable spreadsheet that's updated weekly.

      • Anonymous

You can also look on couponmom.com. There is a coupon database by state that is helpful.

      • esynan

Jenny posts the coupon variation list each week. A link to the past one is below. I think she usually posts them on Wednesdays (for the previous Sunday) so you may see one come out today. Basically, readers of the blog supply lists of what coupons are in their paper each week. If your paper is included, you can print your list out each week so then you’ll have a list of what coupons you should have. Good luck!

        http://www.southernsavers.com/2010/04/coupon-insert-variation-418/

    • jess

You can use more than 20 coupons in 1 transaction can't you? Just 20 will triple. So if you have 20 that will triple and 1 that is more the one that is over $1 won't affect your triple ones will it?

      Hope that makes sense :)

      • Heather

You are correct! I always make sure to give them the 20 I want tripled first, just to make sure they get counted first, then I hand over my 1.00 q's. Have fun!!

    • reginamarie

So, I want to buy lots of Ortega items using my $.75/off 2 coupons. Can I only use 3 coupons total or can I only use 3 coupons for the same items. So if I buy 6 salsa use 3 qn,
6 tacos use 3 qn, 6 refried beans use 3 qn would they all go through and triple b/c I am buying different items even though I am using the same coupon? Thanks for the help. I have a busy week and don't want to make lots of trip just for salsa and beans!

      • heather

You can only use 3 total of the same manu. coupon. per day. If you have lots of those coupons you will have to make several trips to use them, sorry to say. HTH

      • lil74hippie

I have done something similar to this and it worked fine. I did 3 transactions each with 3 of the same q. This may depend on your store and clerk.

      • Krista

Depends on your store….the Ortega coupon will probably beep so it will have to be overrode by a manager and it will be up to their discretion whether to let you use all 9 or not. I try to “fly under the radar” and would probably make 2 trips using 4 one time and 5 another.

      • Carrie_C

The Ortega coupon is going to beep no matter what you do. I have several HT's and it beeps at every one know matter what combination of Ortega products I buy. Because of that, I will only use 3 Ortega coupons in a transaction so the cashier doesn't have issues with over-riding them since I'm following the policy. Using over 3 of the same coupon will depend on your store. Most of the stores here are okay with more than 3 of the same coupon. Just something with the Ortega coupon itself.

    • lynette

Hi. Can someone explain where to find the coupons listed as “tearpad?” Thanks so much!

      • shrimpandgrits

Tearpads are like little notepads of coupons that are, usually, next to the item the coupon is “for”. They are not in every store – they're “hit and miss”. Keep your eyes open as you cruise the aisles and you'll see them from time to time. Happy Shopping!

      • Cathy

Good luck getting the tear pad coupons. I have seen women peel the whole stack and walk off with them. Very disappointing!

    • shrimpandgrits

Just wondering if there is such a thing as shopping or couponing “etiquette”?? I know it may be lack of planning on HT's part, as well as so many deal savvy women. But it so disappointing to arrive at my HT by noon on Wednesdays and find all the deals wiped out.

I don't mean to be “ugly” (as we say in South Carolina); but perhaps each shopper could exercise some southern kindness and not buy as much as you possibly can, so that others may enjoy the savings as well :)

      Kindly – Stephanie

      • Melanie L

I agree 110%!!!! I like to stock up but I typically limit myself to 2-3 items and I will stop by another day and get a few more if they are still available.

It's so upsetting to see people with a cart full of 10-20 of the same thing. I don't know who needs to be feeding their families 20 boxes of Lucky Charms!

        • Cathy

          Amen! I agree completely!!!!

        • Nancy

I thought a person could only use 3 of the same coupon at one time anyway????

          • momandfriend

Yeah but they often have several HT VIC cards, do several transactions, etc. They get around all the rules that We follow.

      • nancycrom

I heard that the manager at our HT looks at southernsavers when there's going to be triples and superdoubles, so he can stock up more on the items that Jenny lists. This has made a huge difference in our store. Maybe you can suggest it to your store's managers! It's a win-win.

        • jenr

The nice lady in our HT told me she tripled her order on everything free because she knew she would run out. And she told me that still wouldn't be enough to get her through the weekend.

      • sallyw

Yes, a little less of ladies taking everything would be nice… but remember, you can go get rainchecks, which never expire, and then you can save them for combining with coupons.

        • nlwatson

Every raincheck I have gotten expires 30 days after issued. The only thing with that and triple coupons is they will NOT credit triple coupons for the item if you purchase later.

      • April

I agree. I got there (I am in VA, though)and wanted to get the Palmolive dish detergent bogo deal w/my coupon. All completely wiped out @ 11:00. No Palmolive anywhere. Seriously. Not right…

    • ziggy34434

I'm selling my house so I can move near a Harris Teeter. I'm certain frequent triples will offset the moving cost and deflating home values. I think it would be a solid financial plan.

      • deniseCLT

        hilarious

    • Julie

i got the post catalina last week at HT in Durham, NC, so its at least at some HTs

      • soma

which durham harris teeter did you go to!?

    • amy23g

I'm so fustrated with this months triples. I save the whole insert from the Charleston Post & Courier and I do all my matching it usually goes really well, but this week I'm not even going to go to HT. 1st off 1/2 the stuff listed on sale above is not really great food. There are not a lot of free bees either and the stuff I would like i can't find the coupon in my insert. Like I said I keep the WHOLE insert I do not cut but none of my SS have these coupons?????? ERRRR I live for triples and I am bummed outtttt
SS3/14 No huney bunches of oats, SS 3/28 No GJ Steamers veggies, No tostitoes in SS4/25, SS4/18 No Sargento's Cheese…. I quit this week!

      • liz_in_SC

I too find Charleston papers lacking in the best Q's. I usually try get a “State(Columbia)” paper…or better yet Atlanta Journal is the best I've found for consistently good Q's. Jacksonville Florida is another good option, but I have to order those inserts from a dealer there.

      • bridget

There are lots of internet printable coupons available for the Green Giant steamers. The print limits will reset on May 1st for most of the General Mills sites like Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, and Box Tops for Education coupons (typical places to find the GG coupons), so if you see print limit reached, check back Saturday. HTH!

      • S_Carolina_Girl

I agree! We don't get the good coupons! I have gotten the State a couple of times when I am in Columbia, but theirs don't seem to be that much better. I also feel like we're getting the same coupons, and therefore the same items are free for triples.

Last time we did triples I made at least FOUR trips! This time I'm only making two, simply because I have to pick up the refrigerated/frozen items on a separate trip. I made the first one over lunch today. I did OK. Most of the things I wanted were in stock.

      • pgibb76

If you can get the Raleigh or charlotte newspapers in your area. I would recommend those.

    • I am disappointed this time. Between not being able to find the coupons in 3/28 SS and using alot for the last triples. I am planning on only making 1 trip. But free stuff is still worth the one trip for me!

    • Aubrey

Thanks again, Jenny, for all the work you do each week. Here in Durham, NC, I tell every one I know who is trying to save money about your website. I'm excited (as always) to go to HT in the morning. Blessings to you for blessing us!

      • esynan

I'll be hitting up the MLK HT tomorrow morning in Durham! Jenny, Durham loves you! :-) Thanks for everything!

It wont let me leave it blank…

    • Varsha

I have a doubt.I have 2 Always B1G1 .One is for a pad and other is for pantiliner. Can i use both of these in a single transaction?Should I use only 20 coupons per day or a minimum of 20 coupons that can be tripled?Say can I use 20 coupons that can be tripled first and then hand over the rest that are $1.00 and above?

      • Megan

Make sure that you give the coupons that will triple first and then the other coupons. You can you over 20 coupons but only 20 will triple. Good luck.

    • Melissa

what zipcode did you guys find the sargento cheese under?

      • nancycrom

i just made a number up, it worked! 44307.

        • Melissa

thank you so much, just got it :)

    • Is it just my imagination, or do they always choose triples week to have lots of Harris Teeter brand items on sale? I don't see very many good deals. Kinda disappointing. I guess there's no need to rush out this morning.

    • Curtisa

Thanks Jenny. I love your sight and I visit it at least 3 times to day to see what you have posted. I don't want to miss any good deals. Thanks for all you do to help us all save lots of money.

    • Joni

s…my HT said they could't take the internet coupons if they would't scan and none of mine did!!! Any suggestions to help with this???

      • christineZ

i think its up to the store manager what coupons to take and what additional policies to adopt. for instance, at my store, they will key in internet coupons that don't scan but they won't double (or triple) them. they also have a limit to 3 like items with coupons (this one you can bend by getting different varieties). they have a limit of 2 like coupons per day for internet printables. I would find the manager and ask for a printed copy of the store's coupon policies.

      • esynan

Sometimes I have problems when my ink gets low and they won't scan. Maybe that could be it?

      • bridget

My cashier mentioned this to me before he started scanning my internet qs, which thankfully all did scan. He said that the problem is often when the printer is set to a fast print or an ink saving printing mode. Try setting your printer to a higher quality print setting and see if it makes the bar codes more clear. My printer died a couple of months ago and we ended up ordering a super cheap new HP printer from Wal-mart (ick), and the print quality is worlds better than my old one. So if all else fails, it might be worth $40 for a new printer!

    • dw

People who clear the shelf are just GREEDY. Save some for other people you vultures.

      • Kim

I agree! After all the time of going to find empty shelves!

      • Ally

I went this morning first thing and so many things were already gone :(

      • sjonli

I know, I couldn't go this morning, so I dread seeing what I could have gotten if I had made it there today. You all might check with the managers to see when their trucks come in. I was told the best time is on Friday morning. It gets cleaned out immediately on Wenesdays, then they restock for the weekend.

      • shrimpandgrits

Thus, my post last night expecting mine, yours and many others woes today! It really sort of “turns me off” to this whole thing. My daughter is a cashier (16 years old), at HT, and she tells me: “Mom, it's just crazy!! People have baskets full of the same stuff with a line at the service desk to get rainchecks”.

I wonder if people really need so much of a particular item, or, are they buying it for the “thrill”? I guess it doesn't matter – the “good stuff” is gone anyway!

        • Disgusted with coupon hogs!!!

It is ridiculous, I agree. People are coupon hogs and that is pathetic. While it is for saving money…. for MOST of us, you have those rude people that steal all the papers from the paper box on Sunday! They pay 1.50 and then wipe out the paper box.. thus using ALL those coupons. It is disgusting… and you are right – it is a turn off. The only people arguing this common sense are the people who feel guilty for being hogs!!

          • momandfriend

You couldn't have said it better! I was just going to post about that. Most of us are into coupon clipping to save money. Totally agree. Then you have those people who wipe out the shelves because they have a ton of coupons… it is rude. Someone referred to those people as vultures… that is exactly right! No one needs that much of the same thing, save some for other people.

          • Angela_Marie

huh i always wondered how people got SO MANY of the same coupons. My library won't give me the old ones, they give them to the employees, and paying for coupons doesn't seem like it would be worth it for most people. i wouldn't ever consider STEALING the Sunday papers…it's like selling your soul for …savings on yogurt??? Ugh.

          • Nancy Bair

I often get multiples of the same item but I don't keep them all for myself. I normally keep 2 or 3 and then the rest I give to church for the food pantry. I don't feel guilty because I did the work to clip the coupons and shop several days in a row. I don't hog everything by a long shot but I do make quite an effort to maximize my savings and give to less fortunate people. I'm so sorry that this has made people so mad.

        • jkparrish

I've seen people buy the cart loads of items – and then re-sell them at the NC fairgrounds flea market for 1.00 an item. Greedy!

It's awesome to save money, but thats just wrong.

    • beth

I went this morning to do some quick shopping. On the bottom of my receipt it says “New Pharmacy Customer Reward! Earn $20 electronic coupon off your next $20 purchase, up to 5 transferred or new rx at this HT only, thru 8/31/10”. This was at the HT in Concord on George Liles.

      • money saving mom

I meant to reply to your comment, and replied to the person above, Angela's comment, about HT pharmacy. Sorry.

    • Angela

I can't seem to find the Summers Eve Bath and Shower gel coupon. Even using the quick list for the coupons. Am I just missing it?

      • money saving mom

In some HT pharmacies, there is a punch card promotion. For every Rx filled, you get $20 in free groceries for new pharmacy customers. Check with your local HT pharmacist. The HT pharmacy is a hidden gem many don't utilize.

      • chris@yahoo.com

i cant find the summer eve 'Q' either

    • jenr

I don't know if this is the best spot to post, but I found a few bonus deals in the hillsboro village HT today. I cut all of my q's, so I don't know which paper I got them from.

      Sun Detergent on sale for $2.99 – 75 cent q = $0.75/bottle
      Hamburger Helper (chicken and tuna, too) 10/ $10 – 75 cent/3 = $0.25 each box
      Goldfish $2.19 – 55 cent q from inside the last bag = $0.54/bag
Pops (apple jacks and fruit loops) Cereal $3.19 – 70 cent q delivered with the Sunday paper 2 weeks ago = $1.09/box

On the other hand, in Nashville, our Weight Watchers ice cream is $5.25 and French's Fried Onions are $3.99 making them a terrible deal.

      • Cathy

Sun liquid fabric softener called Cuddle Soft is 1.94 this week. Match that with the 50c off coupon and its only 44c. It isn't free Snuggle but it is cheap and good for a back up.

      • Rita

        Hi
Does the Hillsboro Village HT double coupons that say do not double? I dont have any luck at the store closest to me in Brentwood….

      • Also, no overage at the Brentwood HT, and absolutely no triples on any coupon that says “Do Not Double” even if it begins with a 5. Just don't go in expecting to get overages, b/c they cut you off at the cost of the product.

    • Michele

Help me please! All the sudden my coupons from coupons.com will not print. What is going on? Java is enabled. I’ve done all the windows updates I can do.. Nothing has changed. it tells me over and over to install the coupon print manager which I do and then it tells me they have printed, but they are no longer printing…. HELP PLEASE

      • Brittney

This happened to me a few months ago. its quite possible you have a virus on your computer. My husband is a computer geek he had to completely redo my computer and start from scratch the virus was attacking software issues with my printer.

        • shannon

It does that to me after I have been along time printing several coups. I usually turn off my computer & it is fine after that.
          :)D

    • crickman

the post cereal catalina did work I bought 4 bos of post ceral and got a 3 dollar coupon for next time

    • heather

The Breyers YoCrunch (4 pack) is on sale at my HT for 1.97 each. I found a .75 q which made them free!! I think it was in the 3/28 SS, but not totally sure, sorry.

    • vgwagoner

I felt so excited this morning going to HT at 6:30 am. I found someone to stay with my sleeping baby so I could go and get good deals. There were about 30 of us there then with our notebooks full of coupons. We were helping each other out – what a delight! Unfortunately by the time I made it to the Land o Lakes with olive oil they were all gone. I made 2 separate transactions with 2 separate VIC cards back to back no problem.

      Coupons 38.07
      VIC savings 13.03
      Total OOP 25.60

      Coupons 19.03
      VIC savings 5.51
      Total OOP 17.02

So for about $35, I left with 5 reusable grocery bags worth of goods – very exciting!
Oh and none of my coupons dinged on me :)!

    • nancy

In response to jenr from Nashville-Today I was at the Harris Teeter on Harding across from St. Thomas- found the French's Fried Onions for 2.55. It is the smaller can. Thanks for the update on the other items.. I was also at the Apple Market on West End. I picked up one of their flyers and they have some good in ad coupons.($1. off Kraft cheese, $1. off Kraft dressings) I called them this afternoon and was told they allow you to stack coupons ! Have only been in there a couple of times for small items but think I'm gonna check it out tomorrow.

      • Rita

        Hi Nancy…
Does the HT on Harding double coupons that say do not double? I live closest to the Brentwood store that doesnt double those but would be willing to drive to that store if they do.

        • bobby

          No sorry we do not

      • 1tougholdbroad

No, they do not double/triple any coupon that says no doubling. Also, they would not take a legitimate Smart Source coupon for Oscar Mayer Bacon. The Q said for ANY Oscar Mayer Bacon. I bought turkey bacon and they wouldn't even try and scan it. Said it hadn't worked earlier in the day.

They were extremely difficult. I'm not sure what competitor Q's they take. I am getting ready to call. They way they acted yesterday, I don't think they feel they have any competitors. I was very disappointed. They made me feel like I was trying to steal something. Looked over my groceries and matched up each coupon before scanning.

Does anyone else have bad experiences with HT on Hwy 100 and in BelleMeade?

        • BOBBY

We were having the problem with that coupon but we are now taking it! (Oscar mayer bacon one)

    • Jack629

Wondering if anyone has had my same experience? I asked the cashier to have the manager override my Rite Aid -$5/25 coupon first. She refused and said they were told this morning that those coupons could only be used last after all other coupons. I said that this is not what is stated in their policy. I had to have the same conversation with an assistant manager. They eventually caved and did it first, but the manager said that they just called the corporate office and verified that the coupon needed to go last even though an order is not specified in the policy. I want to coupon legally, but this just seems to be over the top. My total OOP today was under $25 after all my q's, so I wouldn't have been able to use it if it didn't go first. I haven't called corporate yet because it was after hours. Is this a real thing, or is my store (the Taj Mahal of HT in Greensboro, NC) just being difficult?

      • Heather

Do you go to the Friendly Center one? I used to go there but always ran into problems. Ive started going elsewhere now.

        • Jack629

Yes. Which ones in Greensboro are better? I love the large selection at Friendly, and it is really close to my work, but I would travel farther to have less headaches.

          • reginamarie

I love shopping at Adam's Farm/MacKay Dr. location. The cashiers are VERY friendly and the manager is also coupon FRIENDLY. They rarely pull out coupons that say Do Not Double, unlike Friendly that pulls all of those aside.

      • mackenziefoust

yes, it's supposed to be after all coupons

      • vgwagoner

I got to Burlington NC and they scanned it 1st no problem, although it did take an override. I was there in the craziness of the 7 am checkout on Wednesday and they were so nice!

    • Brittney

52.99 before coupons… $18.23 after coupons! Gotta love it! Thanks Jenny!

    • Cathy

Has anyone done the Buy 2 Mission products, get a free HT salsa? Does it come off automatically? What size salsa?? Please provide details if you've done this. The cashier acted confused. Thanks!

      • sherrolyn

I did it tonight in downtown Charleston. I had a VIC card but somehow didn't have n e-VIC. The CSR let me purchase on her card since I couldn't get an e-VIC that quickly. I spent $3.04 for all three items.

        • shannon

I did it this morning. It does automatically take the salsa off. It even states under salsa “Price you pay free”.
If you go to kroger.com & print off coupons for 75¢ on 1 item, you can get 2 Mission products & salsa for FREE. The coupons on Kroger are not just for Kroger.
The jar of salsa is 24oz. Its all together in the store with deal posted. Some Mission stuff is only 99¢.

      • tinasc

i just did this and it came off automatically at the bottom of the reciept. HTH!

    • Just wanted to share my HT trip from tonight:

Me and my mother-in-law went so I we had 2 VIC Cards but here are the total of the 2:

      $161.40 Total
      $1.85 Out of Pocket!!

We had $5 off $25 purchase (from Rite Aid 4/18 sales papers)
and we each had a $3 RR (from Walgreens)

I was shocked that they used both the $5 off and the $3 RR at the same time (and they did NOT even count as 1 of my 20 coupons)

      • Angel_in_Charleston

What Harris Teeter location takes competitor Qs? That's awesome!

        • The Winston Salem and High Point NC locations take them…they do not take competitor q's they will take a $/$ from a competitor. For example…In last weeks sales paper Rite Aid had a $5 off $25 purchase HT in winston and high point took them for us and scanned them 1st then using all out coupons we came out REALLY cheap!!

          • vgwagoner

The code to override the rite aid coupon is either 1867 or 1687. Be worth asking again. Seems that many dont know the code and dont want to go to the trouble to find out. vgw

            • CM6755

              it's 1867.

          • Amanda

Which winston-salem stores do this because i shop at the one on Country club rd and I am curious to know which one to go to for my 2nd trip. Thanks

            • AMR

              Kernersville's did for me!

    • Shelly

Do you have to have a VIC card in order for them to triple your coupons? I was wondering if I could use more coupons my buying non-sale items in one transactions and not using the card, and buying on sale items in another transaction where I did use the card.

      • Heather

Yes, you do have to use your VIC card to get coupons to triple.

    • Pam

Has anyone ever had any luck using the ECB's from CVS at HT? I saw a couple of posts with people being able to use RR from Walgreen's, so I would think that ECB's would work, but just wanted to see if anyone had any personal experience with problems. Thanks!

      • ljbtrfly

My H.T. on Poplar Tent and George Lyles in Concord, NC says they will take dollar off coupons such as $5/$25 from a competitor. Ours will take off entire order not just “drug store” items. Have not tried with ECB.

    • Cyndi

I tried this for the catalina and it didn't work at the Florence, SC store
      Kellogg’s Smart Start 15.2-17 oz $3.00
Buy any 3, get $2; Buy any 4, get $3; Buy any 5+, get $4 off your next order
      I bought 3…didn't get anything.
      Anyone else have this happen?

      • crosby

SAME THING happened in Kernersville, NC. No catalina. That was a bummer paying $2.00 per box after Q for cereal!!!

    • melynn

I was disappointed, they were out of all of the free stuff. The HT off of Folly Rd in Charleston accepts comp. coupons. I had the $5/$25 RA but they told me I had to buy $25 in drugstore stuff in order to use that coupon. So I spent $19 and saved $15, so still not bad.

    • LeAnnaShaw

I know the green chilles coupon goes through. I have used two today. But I have printed out a few more…from SS a .75/2 pillsbury sweet rolls,.75/3 Hamb help,-has anyone used these successfully? They start w/ a 5….

      • Suzi

Hamburger Helper worked for me..I used 3

    • chris

maybe we should contact HT corporate and suggest they put a limit on # of items. Foodlion lots of times will state a limit of 2….. the greedy ones gonna ruin it for everyone.

      • Christen

There is a limit….it is written in their corporate coupon policy that only 3 like items are allowed per transaction with a like coupon and only two like internet printables are allowed per transaction. whether or not store managers enforce this, and also whether or not cashiers stick to it, is a store issue, unfortunately.

    • nlwatson

I went to Harris Teeter to partake in their “Triple Coupon” sale and found out about another restriction they have with their coupon rules. My Harris Teeter, Charleston, SC, no longer accepts MANUFACTURERS COUPONS if it has another stores logo on it. I tried to use a Kelloggs Manufacturers coupon that had a Target logo on it. Needless to say, I asked them to remove those items from my order and I would go to Publix

      • Oopps didn't mean to 'like' it, meant to say they took mine two weeks ago in Gastonia, NC

    • Jack629

I just off the phone with Harris Teeter corporate office. According to Melissa, the Rite Aid coupons are supposed to be scanned first, before any other coupons. She said that there was a new policy out. After I got off the phone I looked it up and it didn't say anything about the order of coupons. Looks like I may be calling her back from the check out line.

    • ajinc21

Bummer the Kellogs Catalina coupon is not at the HT in Cary, NC.

    • ajinc21

Bummer the Kellogg's catalina coupon did not print at the HT in Cary, NC

    • alehope

Does HT take the printables and triple them?

      • LeAnnaShaw

Yes…alehope…they do. Even the ones that clearly state 'do not double'. At least mine does. Just make sure they start w / a 5. The other day I had a reg coupon that did not say 'do not double' anywhere. But after the cashier trying and trying-and while waiting for the manager-I looked at coup..and it started w/ a 9. I said..no worries…this will not triple. But I am sort of peeved at delmonte, b/c they should have put that on the coupon! They will only triple(or double) them to the price of your item. So -unlike other stores-you can't 'make' money on one item and spend it on another. I live in Nor. Va-and have never been to a friendlier store. I love HT!!!

        • Alehope

Thank you LeAnna, I think I will give it a try. Altough, I did have a coupon that said “do not double” and they would not take it. But, I don't know if it started with a 5 or not. That was the “Mentos” coupon.

          • jess

Mentos coupon will triple, it starts with a 5

          • LeAnnaShaw

Well after a successful week of tripling…I went today. Of course my internet coupons(ones I print) beeped. Cashier needed to call to get override. I am sure it had not helped that out of 23 coupons I had misread 2(one was the total wrong brand…where was my head?) Anyways..when front end lady came over…and manually put in my coupons…she informed me that they do not double. Of course if they scan-yes they will double and triple. So I just smiled and said-'fine'. I honestly did not want to argue w/ her about it. The people behind me were glaring at me(and I kept saying…'i am sorry-sorry'-but why do I do that???) This is the first time this has happened to me. But I think it is b/c it is at end of triples and they are cracking down. IDK….

    • Check the bottom of your receipts at the very bottom. I had an eVIC freebie! Free loaf of bread. It was not in my weekly eVIC special newsletter.

      • Caroline

I also had the free loaf of bread, but I could not find it anywhere in the store…where did you find it?

    • Barbara

I was so surprised to go to our Florence HT yesterday afternoon around 6:00, and to see the first two isles were well stocked with all kinds of items they we had triple coupons for. Our store is remodeling and they had the extra space. I believe we used over the majority of our 20 coupon limit there.

    • GinnyF1984

I know HT is doing triple coupons up to 99cents . My question is if I have a coupon for more than 99cents off an item, will HT triple the first 99cents… (ie.. If my coupon is $3.00 off an item, will them give me another $1.98 off, making the coupon $4.98) ?

      • Amy

No. That would be highly entertaining if they did do that, but alas they only triple coupons .99 or lower.

      • steph

This actually made me laugh out loud!

    • CM6755

267.87 before evic and coupons: 65.29 after evic and coupons…YAHOO!!!

    • Rozz

How did u save that much money? I live in charleston well in Summerville and it is about tweny mile to my nearest HT. I have been reading the post daily and I wonder if its worth the trip?

    • Using coupons you can only save $45 per visit. You can only use 20 coupons. Most of the savings comes from the VIC card discounts. You never really see a coupon for more than .75 cents off. So, during triples week .75(coupons)x3(tripled)=2.25. Then, take that 2.25×20(total amount of coupons)=$45 off.

      • Jim

You can only double or triple 20 coupons per day but you can use as many as you want. Just make sure they run the coupons you want to multiply first. Once 20 coupons are run through – it stops doubling/tripling – even if some of the first 20 weren't multiplied.

    • tobydepug

Has anyone had trouble with coupons that say, “DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE”? i never have before, but I sure did last night. Curious to see if it was just my cashier, or store policy at Harris Teeter?

    • jane

i cant find the cheese coupon….what zip do i need to use? thx

    • Whats up with this??….they wouldn't take my BOGO Sobe Lifewater internet printed coupon. She told me that it is a new HT policy to not take any internet printable BOGO coupons?

      • guest

Due to fraud, it's actually been their policy for awhile (at least a year) to not except BOGO or FREE IPs. Some stores follow it and some don't.

    • Nancy Bair

I often get multiples of the same item but I don't keep them all for myself. I normally keep 2 or 3 and then the rest I give to church for the food pantry.
