I have a question about HT…they are basically the only grocery I use. But yesterday-they were out of 2 of the evic items that I had on the bottom of my receipt. I asked the mngr on duty and he agreed to let me sub 2 smaller classicos-or the 44 oz one-and still use my q. And he wrote me a rain check for the weber seasoning.(but of course now my q will not be doubled). But he made a big show out of telling me that they do NOT substitute or write rainchecks for Evic specials. As I have gotten many rainchecks-and substitutions…I was like 'wow'. I told him that one time I had an evic special for an item they did not even carry! And many times they are out by Monday-and that does not seem fair to me. I come back in on Monday especially to get those deals. He told me he would 'take care of me'( lol-lovely condecending man! ) this time! Does anyone know the official word on this? I love this store-they know me…and are kind to me. I don't want to make waves…but I do want to stand up for what is right. oh and tonight there was a young man who was there for the 44 oz classico-and I heard him say 'dag they are still out' and saw coupons in his hand. He went o manager(another one was on duty) and she said she would sub no problem. We talked for a bit-and I even gave him this web site!!! lol. It was great to see a youngish man using q's and even excited about it!!! But that even confused me more….seems the managers don't even agree!

      • ACW

        From the HT website:
        “Rainchecks

        * Rainchecks never expire and are accepted at any Harris Teeter store.
        * We do not issue rainchecks for coupon items that may be out of stock or for “while supplies last” items.
        * We reserve the right to limit raincheck quantities based on product availability and advertised limits.
        * Rainchecks can be written for a limit of three unless otherwise stated in the ad.”
        http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/online_coupons/coupon_policy.aspx

It’s that second bulleted item that is kind of ambiguous, but the eVIC specials in my emails don’t say ‘quantities limited’ or ‘while supplies last’… so I don’t know why an eVIC item shouldn’t be eligible for a raincheck.

        • Brittney

Ha funny my HT gave me a raincheck for the mystics pizza they were 3 for $9 and the coupon is for $1.50 each and they don't expire til the end of the year so i figured I could use it again when there is another super double. She asked me for how money so I told her 6 :) lol

        • LeAnnaShaw

ACW-I agree too…that second bullet is not very clear to me. I wonder if it means 'their' coupons. Or are they saying if it is sold out b/c all the customers ran in and used A coupon on it? I don't believe it could possibly be the second. That would be the first I had heard of that. Plus it seems like it would be pretty hard to prove that to a customer. The co-manager at my store is just so dag gone condecending to me…that I really don't want to question him. I know I can probably get them from some of the other manager-but I feel that I would be doing wrong in that case. That is why I am trying to see if I can find something concrete to back me up.

      • Cindyrella2

They've always given me rainchecks for Evic items with no problem. Sorry about your experience.

        • LeAnnaShaw

Cindy-can you ask your store manager-where you are-what the official policy is? As I said-I have gotten plenty until this dude last night. I don't want to walk back in and say 'nany nany boo boo' but since I don't shop on fri-sat-or sunday-I want to be able to get my evics on monday! And if they are out…why not a rain check? I really think it is this one co-manager. But if it is a policy not to give them…then albeit–I don't want to rock the boat!

      • Rhonda

        LeAnna,

I also go to the HT in Woodbridge on Hoadly Rd. I am just like you – I do most all my grocery shopping at that HT. What you describe seems to happen to me every time about the e-VIC specials, especially if there is a great coupon for the item. Also, it seems every time they do Triples or Super Doubles, all the items that are great deals are gone by the weekend. I work full time so I can't get there early on Wed morning. Seems like they would catch on that they need to order more of the e-VIC special items, and the other BOGO items. It's frustrating to spend all the time planning and sorting coupons, only to leave the store with very few of the intended items. Then, if you ask the managers about it, they act kind of irritated and annoyed. I can understand they get tired of hearing about it I guess. Then there are the times that my legitimate coupons will not go through, and the manager has to come over and manually override and force the coupon. They make you feel like you're a pain. But really, they put these sales on to attract customers to the store, so you'd think they'd be prepared. Like you said, I don't want to make waves, because I am in there every week and they know me. Somehow I think they all talk about me after I leave the store, and when I come in, you know, “Here comes THAT lady again….” Just trying to make my money stretch as far as I can!

        • LeAnnaShaw

Rhonda-wow-it is almost like you are a neighbor. LOL. The manager I have found harderst to deal w/ is co-manager. He has dark hair-and is in his 30's. He is so condecending. There i also a young gal. She is maybe a front end supervisor-and works the desk. She never shows any emotion! Very cut and dry. I have spent months trying to soften her up. And just last Sunday-she told me that she appreciates me using coupons properly! WOW. We got to talking and she has a 5 mo. So I printed her a bunch of diaper q's. And I finally got her to smile at me! I also printed out and gave them the site to the fraudulent q's. They were very nice to me about that! LOL. But I really really want to know if it is a policy not to give rainchecks on evic items? Or even not to substitute things. That is ridiculous. The manager dude tried to tell me that they get plenty! I told him outright…NO you don't! I also don't divulge this site-b/c I don't want them here…lol. Do you live close to the store? I live right around the corner in County Center. I have kids in local schools and also sub in them too.

          • Ashley

Where can I print diaper coupons?? I am new to this whole thing, but I have a 7 month old and those are some coupons I could really use!!!
            Thank you in advance!

            • Brenda Z

huggies has coupons on coupons.com right now i believe :-)

            LeAnna,

I do live fairly close to the HT. I am in one of the neighborhoods off of Davis Ford Rd. I have a 9 year old son in 3rd grade and two daughters in college, so I am always buying a large variety of things. I'm not sure about the managers you mentioned. I bet I would know them if I saw them though. You are right, that some of them are definitely more “helpful” than others.

            • LeAnnaShaw

Does your son go to Penn? Or Westridge? My older kids live on their own-one in college(George Mason)-and I just LOVE to get nearly free things and give them stuff! They are always so happy. But the funny thing is that during the week of super doubles-TWICE I turned around to see one of them coming down the aisle-saying 'hey I thought I'd find you here' HA-it is a good thing I don't hang out in a bar!! But I think it is funny that they go right there to find me.

I have only once had the evic be out when I went (it was on the first day of the evic specials too) and the manager did not bat an eye, just wrote me out a raincheck and said that they would have them in stock the next week (they know I usually shop only once a week except for triples or super doubles weeks b/c its 10 miles from me). So, no official word, other than that was my experience. I will say that I normally shop on Tuesdays, which seems to be a good day as they have had time to restock from the weekends and all.

I've not had a problem getting rain checks for E-Vic items. Got 2 last night for the Iced Cookies and have in the past for ground chuck.

This week was bad for re-stocking certain items. The Kraft 100 calorie cheese was out Wednesday afternoon and never re-stocked, same for Honey Mustard dipping sauce, yakisoba noodles, lysol neutra air, bumble bee tuna…usually HT has been pretty good about restocking for me.

        • LeAnnaShaw

yes they were horrid this week about restocking grocery items. However every time I was in the store-(which was once a day basically)-I saw the freezer guy! And he always had pallets of items that he was stocking! My only oversite was that pasta sauce and the weber spices. And that is a bummer-b/c I could have used my #, my sons, and my daughters to have gotten 3 for free! My kids would have loved it if mom gave them pasta sauce! And easy meal for 20 somethings to cook

      • Jeanette

I have always been able to get rain checks on evic items…..when I remember to ask for them! Last week the young manager chased me down to give it to me after I left without going to CS (I had told my cashier when I was checking out and he flagged the CS person). In general I have very good luck/service at HT from the cashiers to the managers!

    • David

I noticed in the Food lion add Jenny had the catalina deal with those Kraft dressings. Does the catalina deal not apply at the HT for their Kraft dressing (she didn't list that)? Or was that just an oversite?

      • Brittney

the catalina will work with all stores that have the catalina machines. I just got my at bi lo because of course they double the coupons and they had the dressing on sale. :) and was cheaper than Harris teeter. Just FYI that catalina coupon can be used at any of the stores :)

    • Kat

Where can I find that Hansen Soda coupon? I put in several different regional zip codes on the website and I cannot find it.

    • tennille

zip code for ball park? thx

    • CalicoCoupon

Hey All! Jenny – thanks for all you do, you're an incredible blessing and bearing MUCH fruit!! FYI – I think that the $0.75/2 Ball Park Franks coupon makes it $2.85 for 2 (or $1.43 ea).

      • Suzanne

        I can't find a ballpark printable…is there a good zip to use?

    • Jen

Can you use a Target coupon at HT?

      • Brittney

they take competitors coupon but I think it depends on which store you use. Mine take food lion because they are down the street they will not take a rite aide even thought they are next door weird.

      • gabrielmorris

Does anyone know if the Florence, SC HT takes Target coupons?

        • Elizabeth

I live in Timmonsville. I asked the manager last weekend about competitor coupons. He told me they will take grocery store coupons but not drug store coupons like Rite Aid. He also said the coupon must be for off the total purchase, like $5 off $25 not $1 off a certain item. They now have the coupon policy nicely posted at the new service desk. I hope this helps.

    • Brittney

FYI the HT on mt holly huntersville rd will take 2 coupons on a b1g1 :)

      • mzperk

Hey, you're near me! Hi neighbor!

    • heather

Does anyone know of a way to get the kraft rebate form. I don't know how I missed this one! I buy tons of kraft products. Thanks

    • wendykw

If you open your e-vic email, there's a place at the bottom to click and leave feedback. I've used it in the past and was very pleased with the service. You could find out about the raincheck policy for e-vic specials that way.

    • Suzanne

does anyone have a zip code that will give you the ballpark hot dogs coupon? thanks!

      • I use 28227 or 28079 and was able to get ball park and minute maid.

    • katie

I got a raincheck for the 44oz. classico sauce from last week during super doubles. If I go to buy it this week, will I be able to double my $1.50 off coupon or will they just take off face value? Thanks!

      • great_state

I don't think they'll double it this week.

    • lovemydognc

Will Harris Teeter accept one manufacture coupon and one Harris Teeter coupon for the same item?

      • LeAnnaShaw

I have never seen a HT coupon….do you mean the ones that come out of the register? I was wondering that too. But I have a suspicion that they will not. I am anxious to hear the answer! Hope someone knows

        • becky

The ones that come out of the register are actually man. coupons. So they would only take one. I have actually received some Harris Teeter store coupons in the mail before. I never did get around to asking if I could stack them with man. coupons. But the lady that checks me out is always asking me if I have only one coupon per item, so I would tend to think that they wouldn't let us stack. If I ever get anymore, I'll definitely ask. But the Harris Teeter coupons they sent me did double. Pretty cool. But they only sent them to me that one time.

          • jami

I asked the last time I was in because I had a register coupon and I did not know that was a manufacturer coupon. The manager did say that you could stack a store coupon and a manufacuter coupon. Store coupons are sent in the mail, I have never received any, so I don't know how often you would have a chance to do that, but if you do get them in the mail you can stack it with a manufacturer coupon.

            • lovemydognc

Thanks everyone for your response. Yes, I was referring to the coupons that print out when you check out. I asked the lady at the customer service desk this weekend when I went to do my grocery shopping and she said no, you can't stack a HT coupon and a manufacture coupon, you have to use one or the other. I also noticed that the HT coupons that print out at the store do not double like regular manufacture coupons. This was an eye opener for me.
              Thanks again everyone.

        • jess

They won't, they told me the ones that come out of register are manuf. coupons- they say this at the top, even though they say HT on them

    • LeAnnaShaw

Did anyone get their evic specials in their email today? I ussually get them on Fri a.m….was wondering what-if any there were…

      • jess

I got mine- Grill Mates seasoning $1.00
Free HT toothbrush or floss limit one
and some sort of frozen veggies

    • MomMe

The kraft dressing is buy one get one 2.98 in charleston sc making it 39 cents each with the 55 cent off printable, not free, just fyi…

I sent my husband to HT and he didnt know any better. oh well still okay deal for dressing.

    • Maria

I just shopped at H&T in Rocky Mount, NC- Kraft Dsg is BIGI- good deal with .55 coupon AND I got the $1 catalina for buying two dressings- cool! I also used a rain check for Blue Bunny cones and $1.00 coupons x2 – good deal and good timing since we were out of ice cream- yukes…can't have that!

    • In Charlotte, NC, my coupons fot the Kraft dressing beeped like I did not purchase the item. They called the manager for an over-ride, she said I could only use 1 coupon for 2 Kraft dressings b/c they were BOGOF. I had never heard this before at HT. Anyone else have that problem or heard of that policy at HT?

      • Trish

Yeah – that is their policy. 1 Q on a BOGO sale – Trick is to buy them 1 per transaction.

        • Oh, good to know. But at that same purchase the Luigis Italian Ice were BOGO and they took both coupons, same with Vlassic pickles. I guess it just depends. Yes, she said 1 per transaction would be the way to go. It shouldn't matter though. It kind of stinks. You would think they would still get reimbursed, b/c I am sure sooo many people buy the dressing without coupons. I thought all they had to do was show that X amount of that item had been purchased at that store through their inventory. Does HT pay for the double coupon or does the manufacturer pay HT for it? I guess that could be the difference. Thank you.

      • LeAnnaShaw

The thing about this that bothers me is that they ring up at 1/2 price. They don't ring up at say 1.99/1 and 0.00 for the free. They ring up at .98 each. So honestly why does it matter? I was able to go through on Sat w/ two coupons for the vlassic. They were b1g1free. However they were two different items…and prices. So I think that is why. I shop for perishables a few times a week…so I always just split mine up!

    • kim

Question? Does HT in Charlotte allow you to use overage? In example I have a coupon for 75 cents. It doubles to $1.50. my item is only $1.20. Will the extra 30 cents to toward another item in my cart – ie the milk thats not on sale??

      • Chrissy

I'm pretty I have done that before… it's easier when you purchase more items than just the one item with your coupon.

      • LeAnnaShaw

kim-my experience has been that the register will take off .75 and then doubles to the amount of the item. like in this case it would be 75 and doubled at .45. I have NO idea how they do this…how smart of them!! NOW Target and CVS I know for sure-you get an overage.

      • K.D.

no, you won't get the overage. the coupon will double to the price of the item and no more. HTH!

    • qponchris

more reasons to shop bi-lo… they release their ad WAY in advance. No limit on # of coupons per day. you can use 2 coupons on B1G1. they double up to .99 cents.. 5 cents off your order for each reuseable bag you use. harris teeter is making more and more difficult to shop there, too much b.s. what reason could h.t. possibly have for guarding their weekly ad until the last minute????
