    • Hardion_k

ther'es a $1 off tide stain release coupon in the june p&g..same upc as the $0.35 off coupon so it will end up costing $8.99 with that coupon

      • AWS

My Harris Teeter is very careful with coupons during special weeks like this, so I'd be careful about doing that. Plus it kind of seems like coupon fraud since that's not the product I'm buying.

        • jessdare

It is the same brand though.

          • Fvusaf1204

if a coupon says $1/2 does that mean I HAVE to buy 2? or can I buy 1 and it be .50 off?

            • Emichh4

              You have to buy 2

        • kcreviews

Well, the Nature's Own q is for “premium specialty” bread, not the regular kind, so according to those rules, you can't use the NO q's either.

      • Lynne

Be really careful doing that, because it IS coupon fraud. The UPC code won't beep, but you are using the coupon for stain release, and not regular tide. There is a very nasty fine and possible jail time if you get caught doing that. There was a huge write up in our local paper about that recently. It's not worth going to jail over a couple bucks.

        • RebeccaFer

Can you believe that I had an HT employee tell me how to do this exactly! I told her that it was coupon fraud and that it's not only a no no but illegal. She was baffled by my statement since she was told by the manager and other cashiers to inform customers because it is helpful to them! I explained the reasoning behind it and that she should go inform whoever told her to retrain all their employees but she seemed kinda sheepish and I don't think she said anything. I was shocked that a store employee would say something like that!

    • Momsdword1

Thanks for all the shopping lists w/coupon match-ups. I can't imagine going shopping without my Southern Savers list. You are the best!!

    • sarahinNC

It seems like I saw a q for the Vlassic pickles in an insert recently, but I can't remember which one…can anyone help jog my memory? Thanks!

    • sarahinNC

In the Raleigh, NC newspaper, there was a separate Natures Own bread insert by itself–a 75 cent q! So that should make the bread FREE!!!

      • Lesliestocks

What date was that in the Raleigh paper?

        • Allie

          6/20

      • MaryB

        Missed that one!

      • Bev

Charlotte, NC got that coupon too. :-)

    • Piglett1979

If the coupon starts with a 5 it will automatically double or triple even if it states not to double

      • Couponnicki

It depends on the store. Not all stores actually look at the coupons. The last time there was triples or super doubles the cashier set aside all the coupons that said DND and made sure they didn't double. Only happened at the cashier, but it's worth mentioning.

    • Sarah

I have natures own coupons for .75 off from last weeks paper…makes it free!!!

      • Lindy

there was also a internet printable posted on coupons.com for .75/1…free for me as well!

      • Lindy

there was also a .75/1 on coupons dot com today…I love free!

        • yeah but we are we going to do with 5 loafs of bread where am I going to put it.

          • Christen

if you have room in the freezer, bread freezes well. that's what my mom always does :)

      • Suzi

        thanks for that

    • Christina B.

Quick question for you all…I wanted to get up tomorrow morning and get to the store early so that my husband can be home sleeping while my baby is sleeping before he goes to work. What time is the earlies I can go shopping at Harris Teeter and still get the super double deals? It's so hard keeping a 10 month old busy in a shopping cart while I'm thumbing through coupons! Thanks so much!!!

      • Alyson

7 am it starts .. even at 24 hour stores!

        • Christina B.

Grrrr! Thanks though! That's what I thought, but it sure would be nice to do some 0500 shopping minus a cranky baby!

          • Sam Sissine

I suggest calling ahead, we just called our 24hr store and they are starting @ 12:15am..

          • Christa

you must be a morning person! I wish I could get up and out that early!

          • Mary Ellen

You can do your shopping at 5am like I did last super doubles week and be ready to check out at 7am. It works. I understand getting out early without the kids.

      • 7am

      • Couponnicki

my 24 hour store starts at 7 am PERIOD. Now, I couldn't go last time so I went on Friday morning REALLY early and most of what I wanted was there b/c they restocked.

        • Meebababe

Yeah, ours restocks by Friday too…. I never go Wednesday…. that's when all of the SAH moms are out and they are SUPER good with coupons

    • Kim

I am on vacation in Hilton Head right now, does anyone know if the Harris Teeter in HH is coupon friendly or is it a waste of time for me to get up and go shopping tomorrow morning? I am spoiled with my Harris Teeter and would hate to have a bad experience while at the beach! Thanks for any input!!

      • Traci

Both are coupon friendly. There is one in main street village and one on pope ave

        • Kim

          Thanks Traci!
I went to the one in Main Street Village. That's where we usually shop when we are down for the week. It wasn't busy at all!

          • Traci

I live in Bluffton, but thats the one I always go to unless they are out of something.

    • Melissa

Yay! I am so excited although a lot of the coupons that are listed, I used all up during last super doubles, but I still think I can get some great goodies!!

    • Jessica

grrr… for the first time i had my coupons that stated DND taken out and done manually. boo. it was only $4 but I was just so used to being spoiled! thats at cresent commons in cary, nc

      • Alli

I'm also in Cary, NC. The HT I go to only accepts 2 printable coupons per transaction. Does anyone know if this is true for all HTs?

        • Jasonandsugar

My HT only takes 2 of the same internet printable per transaction. Maybe your cashier was confused?

        • Bev

Technically the coupon policy is to only accept 2 printables per ITEM (not total order). So if a cashier tells you differently, kindly ask to speak to a manager to clarify. If the managers says only 2 per order, then that's probably their own rule for that particular store. You can try a different HT if you have problems with it at one store.

        • jessica

well i gave my cashier about 8-9 this morning of the 14 i had and she took them all, but she just picked out the 4 that said DND.

          • Jessica

which one do you go to? i also go to the one by cary towne center which is actually the most coupon friendly to me

            • Alli

It really depends on the cashier. I had problems at the one by Cary Towne last time there were triples.. I've never tried the one on Tryon & Walnut so may go there tonight.

            • jessica

I have been there but i usually end up leaving with nothing because they get wiped out so quickly! good luck :) i will prob only be making one trip and more so now that the yogurt i was hoping to stock up on isnt free!

            • Alli

I take back the negative things I said about the HT @ Cary Towne.. Went there today and the cashier accepted coupons that said DND AND I accidently (seriously, accidental) had a coupon in my mix that was expired and he said he would scan it anyways! I need to find out his schedule so I can always use his line! :)

            • Sue23

              That is TOTALLY wrong!!

            • Lindsay

Take a look at Jenny's coupon life process – there is anywhere from 3-6 months to submit a coupon for reimbursement from the date of expiration. I'm not saying to purposefully use expired coupons, just that the retailer should be properly reimbursed for the coupon assuming it's not a super old coupon. I get a lot of coupons from recycling centers and was excited to get a group of coupons that I hadn't seen before. Used them as the deals came up and one day I was embarrased to see that they expired in March, 2009, not 2010. Nothing I could do about the ones I had used, but that's a learning experience. kidsluvOvaltine was just sharing her experience and I doubt saying “lets all run into HT CTC and use old coupons” We all know what's right and wrong and some will push the coupon but I like to think it's the few and that the many follow the coupon.

        • they are misreading their own coupon policy. Its only 2 internet coupons per item not for the whole transaction.

        • AmyI

Which one in Cary. I go to Crescent Commons by Walmart and I have no issues. I used 6 printables yesterday and they all doubled.

      • Deb

Have you tried shopping at the HT on Tryon and Walnut? Very nice, they have never pulled my DND's before, but I will have to get back to you later. I have a dentist appt this morning.
FYI- I have always had problems at the HT at Cary Towne.

    • Dani

There is a Ken's Salad Dressing $1 off of 2 on smartsource dot come!

    • kcreviews

My HT didn't have the Aquafina Splash on sale, and some of the Kahiki meals had “$1.50 off wyb 2”.

      • Trose3232

U can get the sensation cheese at Blooms

    • 3 Kool aid funfiz, 3 crackerfuls, 3 100 cal cheese bites, 3 bagel bites, 1 philly cream cheese, 2 yo plus, 1 activia, 1danactive strawberry, 3 edy's ice cream cups (the little ones), 1 uncles bens white rice, 1 muir tomato paste, bananas (no coupon) Total saved $51.42 total spent $7.16

    • FYI if you are getting the 100 cal cheese bites and you also live in the area where bloom is doubling as well get them at bloom they are $.20 cheaper $2.79 compared to Harris teeter at $2.99

    • heather

My HT has the Aquafina flavor splash 6-pack at $3.50, not 2.66. Wonder why?

    • Guest

I think the HT in Mt. Pleasant, SC is taking some of the “free” products off the shelf or raising the prices. I went this morning and could barely find anything on the list. The few things I did find weren't on sale or the price was higher.

      • Jhurt

I noticed that as well. I went to the HT on Six Mile AND the one Houston Northcutt, and they didn't have several items on the list that I KNOW are usually there. Did you see the SUN laundry detergent? ON SALE FOR $2.99, and I had 2- .50 off. I got laundry detergent for $1.99! The coupon states 'for SUN 75 loads or larger', but the cashier took the coupons for the 50 load bottles.

      • heather

i only got free wacky mac. maybe they are catchin on to our MADNESS!

      • Jknight264

I live an hour away in Andrews…and I was wondering if it will be worth my trip to come shopping. I have all my coupons and my list….but if HT is screwing the public why bother wasting my gas.

Both HTs in Mt P. on 17 and the new one on 41 had cottonelle for 6.99 rather than what SS had posted (4.99). Even doubling this was not the deal for me today. Still, I went to the HT on 17 first, knowing that everybody else was going to be checking out the new one, and sure enough had the entire store to myself, lol. Shopped $111.00 and paid $38. I don't know where from, but I had coupons even for the Life cereal, which made all those nice cereals I don't usually buy only $1 each. The red baron pizza is also on special 3 for $10. Will be a good deal after qs. Have a nice HT time tomorrow, everyone.

      • Nashvillerider

Don't think they are taking them off the shelves. There are some who take advantage of the sales and start shopping at 4-5am and wait until 6am to cash out. That is why the shelf is probably empty

    • Cat

Just got back from my first grocery run in a long time. Purchased much more than just coupon stuff, so it wasn't a pure coupon run. Still, spent $75.16, Coupon savings, $72.44, eVic savings $30.55. Pretty awesome.

Went early this morning and pulled in the parking lot. There was at least 50 cars there! I figured I was out of luck on the really good stuff. Come to find out, they were completely rearranging the store shelves. Everything was being moved around, but the people were very friendly helping everyone find the things they were looking for. I found everything I wanted except for the 4oz baby oil. This store is in Concord at Poplar Tent and they had alot of the Frizz Ease stuff on close out. The stuff I got was regularly 5.99, and closed out at $2.99, and I had a $2 off coupon. Great deal. But, there was a woman in there that had 15 bottles of shampoo and every kotex pantyliner that was free in her cart. Glad you could great get deals, but geeeeezzzz…leave things for others.

    • kidsluvOvaltine

Anyone know of a good price for Ovaltine? My kids love it and I'm wondering if I should use my $1 off coupon, doubles to $2 off making the Ovaltine ~$2.50…… Thoughts??

    • Ana Maria S.

I went to my HT tonight in Asheville, NC and I was told that they are now only accepting 2 internet printable coupons per day! What? I had like 7 that I was gonna use and she showed me the policy they posted at the register but I still don't get it I thought it was limit 2 per same item…anyway didn't want to argue so I used 2 and will be going back a couple more times this week so that I can use more coupons…I still did well: my total went from around $75 to me only paying $27 & change for a shopping cart full of groceries.

      • Kwells438

It is two like internet coupons per day. So, you could use 2 kahiki, two cream cheese, two dog treat and so forth. Here is a link to their policy http://www.harristeeter.com/promotions/online_coupons/coupon_policy.aspx You probably have already read it, but as it states with the purchase of two like items, two coupons can be used. Hope this helps.

      • Ana Maria…I work for Walmart here in Asheville. We are being hit bad with fraudulent internet coupons! So bad that the Coupon Clearinghouse sent out a huge list of coupons for us NOT to accept. So chances are Harris Teeter is having the same problem. Dishonest people have taken legit coupons, changed the wording, made the “cents off” into a free item and printed them off. Stores take them, send them into the clearinghouse and then don't get reimbursed. Bottom line, us honest folks who depend on internet coupons to save on groceries are being punished. But the stores are only protecting themselves and you really can't blame them after they've been scammed. I use this site and many others for my coupons faithfully and it has affected my shopping as well…

    • Dashi354

How does substitution work? For example if terra chips are out of stock, can I substitute lay chips? Will they let me use a terra or lay chip coupon on the item?

    • Peggyhendrick

I got Kahiki chicken fried rice FREE with coupon and the box has a .55 coupon inside the box! My husband & I both thought this rice was tasty.

    • Aajd90

all the printable coupons i print off say DND and DNT. do they make exceptions?

      • Meebababe

Mine always have doubled. The oly thing that doesn't double/triple for me are the blinkies and the catalina coupons.

      • Qpon41

if the bar code on the coupon starts with a 5, it will double. If it starts with a 9, it will not.

      • Isenhour2266

Some do I think but the the one where I live is horrible to deal with. I gave up.

      • LeAnnaShaw

They should double…if they start w/ a 5, however there is that 'crazy' coupon cashier who will scrutinize every Q and put that aside so it won't double. I always looke when I go in the store. IMO…IF the manq did not want them to double…it would not be hard to put a 9 instead of a 5 in front of them! I just don't get why they do not! I ussually only use a few of them in my pile…just in case they are being picky-then I am not out of a whole lot. And I try to go when there are lines-as opposed to 9 a.m when they have all the time in the world to check my q's. May sound decietful…but again…I think it is up to the manq to make their q's not double if they truly don't want that!

    • Mulletavenger20

There is a coupon for the Budweiser BBQ sauce it is in I think 6/13 SS now it might be regional because i bought that paper in Atlanta but i think i must have got one out of the charlotte observer too. The coupon is .55 so since the item is BOGO it makes it 54 cents each!

    • Lisa B

One of my HTs (MLK Blvd. in Durham, NC) has a clearance cart full of Electrasol Finish Quantum tabs near the front of the store marked down to $1.99. There are some $1 off printables out there (check here: http://www.homesolutionsnews.us/offers.shtml and here: http://www.finishdishwashing.com/index.php) that will make them free during SD week.

    • AmyI

Al Fresco chicken sausage are on sale at Harris Teeter for $2.99-$4.99. With the $1 printable coupon makes it $.99 or $1.99. Great deal as they are normally $6.99

    • nancycrom

    • JeffNC

There are alot of hair items that are on clearence for 2.49. Pantene, Herbal essence, Aussie and Garnier. Lots of great buys!!

    • Isenhour2266

Most of the HT are great but the one in Hickory is hard to deal with. They threw out coupons that were being accepted at the other stores and I ask for a card app. for my husband and they wanted his ID and did not even want me to have a app. Will not go back.

      • motherof3nc

You need to speak to the manager. I went to the Hickory one and the girl at the register was a jerk. I called the Home office and complained and the store manager called me back and he was very nice and realizes how much money coupon people bring into the store, I always go to the one in Morganton its smaller but they have the best employees

        • Isenhour2266

The cashier was mocking me when I tried to deal with the manager there but it was oblivious they were not afraid to act disrespectfully even then. I have talked to several and they were not recomended as good people to deal with.

          • LeAnnaShaw

Before I started couponing-I had a problem w/ the meat guy at HT. I am not sure why he treated me so badly, but after several times of him irritating me, I went to the web site and wrote an email. I expected a polite-I am sorry! OMG…what I got was over the top…the meat manager called me/the guy over the meat manager called me/ the dm called me/ the store manager called me…every time my phone rang-it was Harris Teeter. It bordered on ridicoulous! They took ONE complaint so seriously. I was assured at every step that they were taking care of it. They even sent me a gift card! I was overwhelmed. THIS is the reason I am so faithfu to them. I believe that good service deserves this! And they get my money-hands down!

          • motherof3nc

was that a female mgr? There is like this head cashier lady who is not very nice there!

    • I got a “Savings Alert” e-mail from HT today listing Activia 4ct. at $0.99. That with a $0.50/1 coupon from coupons.com makes them free.

    • Carlo

      • I also love our regular cashier Ben the kids love him and they always try to help put the groceries on the counter for him to ring up. so cute.

    • motherof3nc
