Here are the deals that started today at Harris Teeter.  It is a pretty good week even though there is not special coupon doubling or tripling.  Please share if you find and other deals in the store!

Remember:
1. You do not have to buy 2 of the B1G1 items, each item will ring up half price.
2. Coupons are doubled that are .99¢ or less.
3. They will double 20 coupons per day/transaction.
4. You must have a VIC card to get sale prices and for your coupons to double.
5. Most stores only allow one coupon per B1G1 deal, so only buy one per transaction if possible.
**Tip: Hand over coupons in order of value starting with .99¢ or less then give $1 and higher coupons**

Thank you for all you do!!! :) I am a little confuse on some of your final prices. I would love to get these deals but am not sure how you got the price. Any of the ones wher eyou have in black “make it…” I don’t understand. i thought they might be left from triples or super doubles but even when i do that it doesn’t equal. ;) Please help out a newbie. :)

    • jennifer

i registered on the smithfield’s website but can’t find the coupon. help!

    • Christy

Just heard that HT will be alternating Super Double and Triples every other week through the end of the year!! :) Jenny, have you heard anything about this?

    • Erin

      Donna, ( #1 )

It’s because Harris Teeter doubles everday up to .99(depending on where you live, some only double to .60). So if the item is $1.00 and you have a .50 coupon, it will double and make it FREE!!!!

      Hope this helps.

    • Audrey

Like Donna, I need some clarification on this also. For example, I’m confused by this listing:

Reynolds Recycled 35 ft at $3.29
-.75/1 Reynolds Recycled Foil SS 8/16 (makes it .14¢ ea)
-$1 off Reynolds Wrap Recycled Foil, SS 8/16

How are they made .14 cents each?

Thanks so much! Your website is such a big help!

    • Audrey

We must have been writing at the same time. Now I get it. Thanks!!

    • Lori too

      Donna,
Also, make sure u paid attn to the deals that are BOGO that might be throwing u off too if u r not making the items 1/2 price to start with :-)

    • Zandra

It’s probably the Buy One Get One Free items. If so, divide the price by two, then apply the coupon.

    • kathyctts

      Hey donna,
if the item is buy one get one free, then it is half the price listed. then you subtract the coupon, at Harris Teeter they coupons up to .99c.
For example the reynolds aluminum foil is BOGO at 3.29, you dont have to get two of them. So its $1.66ea. Then if you have a .75 cent coupon that doubles to 1.50 off and the item is .16 cents when all is said and done!

    • Donna

i missed the BOGO at the top of that section! I need to pay better attention. THanks so much for you sweet help.

    • Jenny

Anyone else hear the rumor that HT will run alternating triples/super coupons every other week for the rest of the year?!? My friend posted it on FB – got her info from Hot Coupon World. Hope it’s true!!

    • kate

I can’t find the sorrento cheese coupon on smartsource? i am in VA and thought maybe it was only for certain zip codes… if so, could someone give me a zip code to get it printed?

    • Bobby

Curious new comer here. When more than one coupon is listed below an item, can you typically use all of them on one purchase.
      Eg:
Beech Nut Stage 2 Foods .50¢ ea
-$1 off 10 jars of Beech Nut Baby Food printable
-$2 off 20 jars of Beech Nut Baby Food printable
      -$2 off 16 Beech-Nut Stage 2 Jars, SS 8/02
-$1 off 8 Good Morning or Good Evening Stage 2 Jars printable
If I buy 20 Stage 2 jars, do I get credit for all the coupons (i.e. all 20 for $4 ($10-$6 coupons), or do I need to buy a total of 54 (10+20+16+8) jars for all coupons to apply)?

    • nancy

Bobby, you can use choose from the list or if you have them all then use them all. Remember the rule for redeeming a Q is to make sure you are buying the required amount of Jars per Q. AND that your HT will take 4 or 2 Qs at a time for the same item.

    • nancy

      is everything BOGO??

    • Alisha

FYI………..I visited the Mt. Pleasant HT at the foot of the A.Ravenel Bridge and was told by the Asst. Customer Service Manager that they only accept competitor coupons from local grocery stores for total dollar off amounts…They DO NOT ACCEPT Rite Aid or any other drugstore coupons for dollar off total amounts. Without being able to use any of the drugstore coupons I still did pretty good on yesterday…I got $20.86 worth of stuff for $8 and some change!! My order included 3 cans of Air Effects Febreeze. They were on sale last week for $2.99 and I had 3/$1.00 off coupons.

    • Kris

I was told the same thing at The Rt17 Mt P store, AND they won’t apply them until all other coupons are in first. So I guess you have to be sneaky and present it as your only coupon first, then whip out the others. The West Ashley store will do it first with no problem. Also, HT’s new rule is 20 coupons per day/per VIC card on super 2x and 3x weeks. So I got 2 VIC cards…he he he :)

    • Angela

Kris, I tried to do that also. I ordered a VIC card for my DH and when it came in the mail, it had the same VIC # as mine. :(

    • Use zip code 28403 for the Sorrento coupon. :)

    • Kris

My original VIC card was in my maiden name and old address, so husband’s info was completely different. I miss out on one set of mailers, but it’s worth it on 3x coupon weeks.

    • Colleen

HT wouldn’t let me use the Smithfield coupon for the free bacon because it wasn’t $3.00 to begin with. Does that matter? I would think that would be a good thing for the manufacturer… Anyone else have trouble getting the free bacon?

    • Cat

@Colleen (20) my HT at Ardrey Kell & 521 in Charlotte did a manual override on the Smithfield coupon. I actually got the full $3 value, so .50 overage.

Give it a try at another store or complain to manager/corporate. It is one thing for HT not to give “overage” on a double or triple, but this is a MFR coupon and they will get $3 back from the MFR no matter what price they sell it for… I’d complain. Refusing to honor a MFR coupon at simple face value is unethical.

    • Amanda

Can someone please email me at glorybound02@hotmail.com and explain to me the whole ordeal with Harris Teeter and couponing. I just don’t quite understand..if I have three coupons for .50 cent off and one coupon for .75 off of a bottle of Herbal Essence $3.68
would I be able to use all four coupons on one bottle or would I have to buy four bottles???
Total coupons worth $4.50 when doubled…

    • gretchen

i keep checking and double checking and i cannot find the sorrento string cheese at the link location provided. am i missing something?
      thanks!

    • Cindy

My Harris Teeter would not accept the bacon coupon because it exceeded the item value. They said they could not change coupon to $2.50. Guess it differs between the locations.

    • Crista

Is anybody else having trouble with the Duke’s mayo q.? I’ve printed it, but it printed without a bar code (both times). It looks like a regulare ss printed q. but where the bar code should be is just blank.

I really needed this q. I’m almost out of Mayo! LOL

    • Tracy

Gretchen- I found the sorrento string cheese with zip code 30013. THat zip was in their from a tip last week. Hope this helps.

    • VeronicaB

The only HT I go to in Charleston area when I have internet Q’s is the Ht on James Island by the Downtown Connector. They are the only ones I have found to actually never give me lip on them. The other day I didnt buy an item I had a Q for and forgot it in my pile and they gave the Q anyway… I was like.. ok whatever.

    • ACW

Here in Durham, the cashier handed me back my $3 Smithfield coupon, saying they wouldn’t take it because it exceeded the value of the item purchased. I asked if they would take off up to the value of the item, and she said no. She had to call over a manager for my Kraft cheese coupon, and confirmed with him (who has a really crappy attitude, btw) that they wouldn’t accept or reduce the amount of the coupon. There was a huge line behind me and they acted like I was mentally challenged (explaining, four times, the simple math involved) so I ended up just taking my coupon back home. Now I’m frustrated because the VIC discount was only $2.50 off, which was less than my $3 coupon. I should have had them remove the item, then re-ring as a separate purchase without my card. :P
Oh, well. Lesson learned, I guess. I still paid $15.03 for $37.31 of groceries. :)
As always, thanks for all you do!

    • Sheri

      ACW
I had the same problem @ a Charlotte HT. My coupon exceeded the value of the item, the cashier stated that I couldn’t use the coupon however when a manager came over all they did was over ride the coupon, I was able able to use a $2 off coupon and my item was only $1.99 I also was able to use the smithfield coupon I just think they both woke up on the wrong side of the bed

    • gretchen

      thank you, tracy!

    • Edie

FYI – Harris Teeter is very concerned about how their guests are treated. I did a little secret shopping for them about a year ago. They must have at least 5 or 6 secret shoppers in a week – each one reviews a different area. . .meat department, customer service returns, offering to take grocies out to car in certain circumstances.

What I would say is to let corporte know your experience – they will take it seriously.

FYI – I forgot (2 trips) to give my coupon and went to customer service. They immeidately gave me the coupon money back in cash no problem. Maybe do that next time.

    • Amy C-

I have also had the same problem as Jennifer (#2)- I logged in and registered on Smithfield’s site but can’t find the coupon- help?

    • ACW

Heads-up. Dr. Pepper & Diet Dr. Pepper 2-liters are on sale, 2/$3.00
Look for the huge, green peelie coupons, face value 55c…

      $1.50 – 55c – 55c = 40 cents each. :)

    • Same as Jennifer #2 and Amy C. Guess we were to late to get it..
