    • Nicole in Kville, NC

      Wow what a great list! Thanks Jenny!

      • Elizabeth

        Kville…. I used to call it K-Vegas :)

        • http://www.moolasavingmom.blogspot.com jessie alonzo

          Twice in the recent months the Kernersville store has refused to double DND coupons. I've decided not to shop there anymore because all the stores in Winston Salem double them!

          • Elizabeth

            You're lucky- my store here in Virginia Beach never doubled DND5… almost makes me wish I still lived in the triad… almost :)

          • JSB

            The same happened to me but here is how I see it. I save so much money in HT that a couple of DND coupons is no big deal. In the end driving around costs more and CS is great at that store. My kids love to go with me since pretty much everyone knows their names and they always get balloons in their fav colors.

    • anneconover

      Wouldn't the Hefty One Zip bags be 1.27 with coupon instead of 1.77?

      • Aleea

        yeah you are right. they list as 4.55 bogo plus the 2.00 off after doubles… great catch

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

        It depends on your store. Some stores won't let you use a coupon on the free item so they will make you buy 4 to use a $1/2 coupon.

    • JJ

      Thank You Jenny!

    • Donna

      Question – for the birds eye steamfresh – if they're B1G1F, they ring up at 50% off each, right? So, if we have the $1/3 coupon, we don't need to buy 6, right? The coupon would still work on just 3 and if we have a 2nd we could use that for another 3 items, right? The B1G1F with coupons tend to confuse me since I'm not sure how it works exactly.

      If they treat them as totally free, then we'd have to buy 6 and use just 1 coupon for the 3 we're paying for, I guess.

      Which is it??! Help! :)

      • guest

        It depends on your store honestly. What I would do is buy 3 but buy different flavors that way they are not 3 of the exact same. If they all show up the same the cashier might stop the coupon from going through.

        • LeAnna

          that is what I do when I have a Q for items that are b1g1…I buy different varieties. It never beeps that way…just a thought!

      • TheChapleigh

        Technically, to adhere to their policy of “no coupon used on the free item of the B1G1 deal”, you would have to ring up 5 veggies… “buying” 3 (that you technically are using the coupon on), and “getting” 2. I would not bother getting the “third” for “free”, as it will only cause the out of pocket price to be higher… ie, if they ring up half price, why put the other “freebie” in your cart. This is an issue I JUST had this past week with the Furmano's Canned Tomatoes… I had thought, somewhere in my head, that the Q was for $1.oo/2 items, not THREE items… so when the cashier questioned me on it, I tried to reiterate I was “buying” the 2, then the third was my “free one”… and thus I could use the Q on that B1G1 deal. But, once I got home I realized that i had needed to “buy” 3 and “get” the other 2 in order to adhere to the coupon policy. They should really either change the way B1G1 deals are scanned (so that truly you “get one for free”) or change the policy so that you can put a coupon down on each item (as you can at Lowes Foods, since they each ring up half price.) To me, it's a glitch that Harris Teeter gets away with enforcing, and it causes so much coupon confusion out there that the couponers look bad who don't understand the policy, and the cashier's are getting frustrated with us. Causes the couponers to feel manipulated into buying more product or else we are left to feel WE are manipulating the system. Should be easy enough to fix, wouldn't you think????

        • Donna

          Yeah, I wish they'd change the policy or clarify it – definitely confusing! I try really hard to follow the rules and don't want to be one of “those” couponers that the cashiers hate!

      • guest

        If you have a Food Lion nearby, the cheapest Steamfresh (corn, broccoli, mixed veggies, rice & veggies, and a couple others) are on sale 10 for $10. Use the $1/3 coupon to make them $0.66 each without worrying about hassles from the cashier, if you're getting enough to satisfy HT's coupon policy, etc.

        • Donna

          YES! FL is just a half mile down the road from my HT, so that's even better! That also frees me up to use other coupons for my 20 coupon doubling limit tomorrow too. Thank you!! :)

    • Lisa

      I'm new at this, but is there a way to print multiple coupons on one page so I don't waste paper? LOL Thanks!

      • Brandy W

        I flip my paper over and insert it the opposite way as I did the first time so I can print a second coupon on the back. This is only good for those coupons that you know are going to print on the very top of the page. Be careful not to print on the exact same spot! HTH

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VOYGWHJD67ODILL7CZQ4URHNG4 M.A.

      I'm not seeing the coupon for the Scott toilet paper. What zip can I use?

    • Lauri

      How can you view the new ad that starts tomorrow? I just checked their website and it's not there!

      • apoint2bemade

        not until 12:01 A.M.

      • Momsdword1

        The ad is available NOW along with your evic (electronic) coupons.

      • css03

        7am

      • Perriann

        The registers are turned over at 7:00 am.

    • Lauri

      Is there any way to view the full Harris Teeter sale ad? Under their website it only shows a few pages of it!

      • Momsdword1

        The ad is available now along with your (electronic) evic coupons.

    • Mvpage

      Is it just me or are a lot of the final prices calculated at single coupon value and not double? (Especially the coupons that are $1 +)

    • Marlene

      Kraft singles $0.59 each after $1/2 – the 2% is not on sale
      Kraft chunk chedddar $0.84 each after $1/2 coupon
      Progresso soup $0.79 each
      Healthy Choice Soup $0.29 after $1/2
      (jenny if you get a chance you might want to go thru this list and check the pricing I think sometimes you factored in $1 doubled and sometimes you didn't. Thanks!

      • Donna

        The 2% kraft singles aren't on sale, but the regular ones are still B1G1 and with the 0.55/1 coupon, they're $0.49 each. Still a great deal!

        • Kbar724

          I have found you can still use the 2% coupon

          • Sarah

            I've found the same. I've used it twice now, no issues.

          • luv2shop

            Wow! I just let some expire because I thought I could not use it. I will know better next time, thanks!

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

        The math was done taking into account that most stores won't let you use a coupon on the free item. So on B1G1 deals to use a $1/2 coupon you technically should buy 4.

        I just went back through and changed the math to be what it would be if you were allowed to use the coupon on just purchasing two so it confuses less folks.

    • DawnCDP

      Okay, so is this list in addition to the one Jenny put up the other day? Because several things that were on the other list were not on this one.

      • DawnCDP

        Never mind, I just re-read the top and it clarified!

    • Momsdword1

      Thanks for the ad with all the coupon match ups. Sure hope HT is ready for us.

    • LeAnna

      I have my 20 Q's ready and think I may get my first 'free' shopping trip ever…so excited!!! wooo hooo!

    • sarah

      Does anyone know where to get the Starbucks Coupon booklet?

      • Cole_lp

        I picked up my booket from the starbucks at target.

        • Angela

          Thanks — did you find it on the coffee aisle, at the Starbucks store, or at customer service. Starbucks is my very favorite.

    • Nancy

      Thank you so much for the hard work you put into this for us !!! I really do appreciate your website and save sooo much money !

    • JenCaroLynn

      Of COURSE my printer loses its mind today when I need to print like a fiend! How do I know this will be at my store? I asked today and they said they don't know until the morning if they will have Super Doubles.

      • Cbrown9758

        Harris Teeter announced super doubles today via Facebook.

      • Donna

        Oh, no! Hope you get it fixed! They should be doing it at ALL stores, from what I understand. You can click on the coupon policy link at the top right hand column here and it shows up on their coupon page as of this evening and says it starts at 7am tomorrow.

        Good luck with your printer!

    • Plannergirl

      In the Harris Teeter Coupon policy it states that they will accept “internet manufacturer’s coupons for product”. What exactly is an internet manufacturer's q? And, does HT accept store q's such as Target or WD?

      • Sarah

        HT policy only allows for competitor coupons if they are for dollars off the total amount (for example, $10 off a $50 purchase @ Bi-Lo). You cannot use item-specific store coupons (for example, 50 cents off bananas at Target) there.

        • Sarah

          Edit: It appears there's been a policy change since my initial reply. The HT website now states that they WILL accept local competitor coupons (both for specific items, and for money off your total).

    • Angela

      If you like Minute Maid on Facebook, there is a $1 off coupon. Also, the Jello pudding temptations has a $1 off on coupons dot com. There is also an electronic buy one get one free for the puddings, so I think that will be a good deal.

      • Tracy

        Also a cat for $3.00 OYNO when you purchase 3 making this a money maker.

        • Angela

          When you buy 3 Jello temptations?

          • nancycrom

            I have the catalina deal printout. It says ANY refrigerated jello 3/4-3/27 buy 2 get 1.00 buy 3 get 2.00 buy 4 or more get 3.00 oyno. I got one today on the temptations, it's a moneymaker with the bogo evic q and the ipq and the cat.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Deborah-Lawrence/811891739 Deborah Lawrence

      Is there a limit to how many Internet coupons Harris Teeter will take? I was trying to read their coupon policy but its too confusing.

      • Sarah

        2 internet coupons per like item per transaction. For example, if you are buying 7 Wisk detergents @ $3.99, you can use 2 of the Facebook printable coupons (not 7).

        • Tgriggs777

          Really??? I totally misunderstood this!!! All along, I thought it was two internet coupons all together! I didn't realize it meant for like items! So, theoretically, you could use 20 internet coupons as long as no more than 2 of them are alike? Thanks, Sarah!!!

          • Donna

            Yep! 2 printables can be for identical items and 3 regular coupons for identical items.

          • Sarah

            No problem! I'm an HT cashier and have taken 20 internet coupons (doubled or in this case, super doubled) without trouble.

            • Tgriggs777

              Very cool!!! Thanks again!

    • Tgriggs777

      Can anyone find the Kahiki coupon? Do you need a certain zip code?

      I have a question about the coupon Jenny list for the Kraft Shredded Cheese of $1.50 off 2. The coupon is a Publix coupon….will H.T. take it??

      • Offthemic

        No.

        • Sarah

          Edit: It appears there's been a policy change – the HT website now states that they WILL accept local competitor coupons.

    • Frank6ft4

      Is there a way to print more tha 1 coupon at a time

      • luv2shop

        Not that I have been able to find out.

      If so, does anyone know if there is a limit? I'm not seeing one.

      Thanks!!!

    • luv2shop

      I see Red Baron's in my area for 3/10. There is a .75 and $1 newspaper Q (sorry my computer is acting up and can't get the date). Good deal, though.

    • luv2shop

      I have a regular price of 2/4 for Ragu and 5/5 for Barilla in the Cary, NC area
      . Maybe it adjusts per area.

      • Americanbaby27

        Thanks! I guess I'll just have to see how it turns out in the morning :)

          You all do know that you can check your store’s prices before you go, right? I just always go to the HT website and click the Express Lane tab and you can search any item on your list to see whether your store carries it and what this week’s price is.

    • savingmom

      does anyone know if there is any xtra coupons that be printed

      • Couponamy33

        If you have a Dollar General nearby, see if they still have any of the $1.00 coupons that don't expire until March 31. That makes free detergent!!

      • nancycrom

        There's a coupon database right at the top of this page!

    • css03

      Best trip ever, had to go to customer service because only 18 coupons came off, but it was worth it because in the end I paid just $0.06 (including tax) for $63 worth of groceries plus $1.00 off my next order.

      • Karen

        OMG that is awesome please share your shopping list!

Did not see the correct price for Ghiradelli Chocolates or the Olive Oil so will recheck those. Will go back this afternoon for some other items once I check prices. Thanks I got $45.xx reg prices for 8.32 with 10 coupons used!

      • Pnutter

        I looked forever for the olive oil, it’s actually a spray olive oil. It wasnt even near the other bottles of olive oil.

    • Lindsey Boggs

      Got $70.14 worth of groceries for $11.99! OMG!

    • Tinfoilstarss

      There is a $1/1 classico coupon when you register on their site, so with that you get it free! My hubby loves when I use their marinara sauce to make penne pasta so I'm stocking up!

      • Donna

        Ooh, I love Classico1 Thanks for the heads up. :)

      • Marlene

        This coupon is for the 44oz jar which is $3.99 before coupon.

    • Hydro

      How do I get the p g 110 booklet? I have signe up on website but says can't get it. I notice that I am missing lots of coupons from there

      • Hayleyhemi

        You have to save up $50 of P&G receipts from 2010 and send it in to get 2011's P&G Brand Book. This is the first year I have had it and it has helped. She will post something towards the end of the year about how to get the 2012 coupon book but you can't sign up for it now.

    • Danielle

      I just checked out Harris Teeter's coupon policy again and it says they will take Competitor's manufacterer coupons. Is this a new thing? I have never seen it before.

      • PDB

        Just noticed that too. Will be interested to see how this works. Also noticed that the policy now specifically says that coupons stating “Do Not Double” should not be doubled.

      • Sally

        They will accept competitors' coupons as long as it is a dollar amount off of a final price. For example, I use my coupons from CVS that say, “$4 off $20” at Harris Teeter. It always makes the cashier do a double-take, and they usually say, “Sorry, this coupon is for CVS,” but I just ask them to check with a manager and the manager always overrides it.

        • Danielle

          I always knew before that they would take coupons for an amount off at other stores but now the policy specifically says ” will gladly accept competitor manufacturer coupons.” Does this mean they will take Target and Food Lion? Interesting.

          • Sarah

            That's how I'm reading it – that they now accept all local competitor coupons regardless of it being for a specific item or money off the total purchase.

            As an HT cashier who worked all day yesterday, I've yet to be informed of this change by anybody at my job. It's a pretty big one!

    • Blmreid

      Yoplaint and Betty Crocker q's state “Do not double” will they double for this event?

      • Donna

        Depends on your store – if they're printables, some stores scrutinize those more and will pull them out and do them manually so they don't double if they say DND (even if they start with a “5” and would double automatically when scanned).

        Other stores don't seem to pay any attention to it. Mine DOES pull them all out if they're DND, but only the printables – they seem to ignore the DND on “regular” coupons.

        Only way to tell is to go in to your particular store and see what happens, unfortunately. Sometimes it even varies by cashier! Good luck – hope you get lucky at your store!

        • Blmreid

          Thanks for the information Donna, I will be going to the Belle Meade, TN store and will keep my fingers crossed. Thanks again

      • Victoria

        my store did

    • Iheartthecoupons

      Love HT, can't wait to go today. Love all the great savings listed, I went yesterday without the superdouble and still got $38.00 for only $12.00. Happy couponing out there.

    • littlefrogs3

      If you use 3 coupons in 1 transaction can you use 3 more of the same coupon in another transaction or do you just have to wait until the next day? Thank you for your comments.

      • Jaime

        As long as you don't exceed 20 coupons a day limit – the coupon policy is per transaction so you should be able to use 3 more that day.

    • Zinniasgive

      Hope this helps several of you out there! Just did my first super double trip of the week at the new Friendly shopping center in Greensboro, NC. One of the managers actually spent the time to look over my coupons while I shopped and proceeded to order items on the spot (with the handheld gadget) that he knew would go quickly with all us crazy couponers :-) Should be plenty of free milk (with the Smart Balance coupon) and yogurt for sure!!!!

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Deborah-Lawrence/811891739 Deborah Lawrence

        The smart balance milk coupon for 1.50off and says do not double…did they let you anyway?

        • Joeykat16

          my store did in :)

          • joeykat16

            that was suppose to say in Cary, NC

    • Kim

      I went to my HT this morning to take advantage of the super doubles. When I was at the check out the cashier and manager (who was bagging) informed me that they do not double the internet coupons. I told them they always had before. The manager said that they were not suppose to. I came back and printed out their coupon policy which does not say anything about not doubling internet coupons. I ended up buying several items that I would not have bought if I had known they were not going to double some of my coupons. What should I do?

      • Donna

        I use internet coupons all the time and they've always doubled them (well, my particular store pulls the ones that say DND, but they double all other printables).

        You're right, the policy does NOT say they can't double them.

        I'd call corporate customer service – there should be a number on the HT website. Sorry you had a problem!!!

        • shannon

          I too just left my HT in Indian Land, SC. They stated if the Q says DO NOT DOUBLE, they pull them out & bring it to your attention.
          (Even if it starts with a %)!!!

          I was also informed that from now on only 2 internet Q's are excepted per like item. Manufacture Q's are only excepted for 3 like items. (Their policy has always stated the 3 like), but they never went by it until now.

          The 2 internet Q's per item is only going to cause more transactions & more of their time holding up lines like we do in CVS & Wags etc..
          The manager knows this is going to happen & is dreading the unhappy customers who are going to leave their items & walk out of the store. Hopefully they will realize this & go back to their old ways.

          Hate I didn't get my Baileys creamer :(
          ~~~~No double Q's, me NO get~~~~
          Still got some great deals anyway & made 4 different transactions to get them, ha ha :)
          • Guest
            How about you just follow the rules and not annoy the manager? The policy says you can't split up your order just to use more coupons, so just follow the rule. Or split it up between other HT's so at least you don't get on a nice store's nerves – there are LOTS of HT's in the greater Charlotte area so it's not like you can't take a short trip to use a few more coupons. That's an incredibly nice store – you should just be grateful that they were able to be extra lenient for so long. If they actually have to follow the written policy now, just follow it instead of being a pain just to try to get them to 'go back to their old ways'. If they're changing things up now, it's probably b/c corporate or some district manager has told them to get in line with company policy, so making things difficult for them is probably just going to make them not like you very much, not get them to 'go back'.
            • shannon
              I was not stating any of this information in a negative way by any means GUEST. I was just letting others know that HT in Indian Land has changed their ways. (due to corporate) Like I said, there are still some GREAT deals anyway! Just more transactions is all. Geesh~
              If you would have read how I stated the manager was “dreading” what was to come was clearly stating she didn't like the change either. They all know me in this store & do not think I am a PAIN or annoying as you stated. I understood & had patience & totally went along with their change..
              This info was just a heads up to others in case they weren't aware of it.
              I wouldn't want someone to have a cashier not tell them about the change & end up paying for something they thought was FREE.
              Hope you have a nice day~
            • (A different) Guest
              It's not about whether you were “stating it negatively” — it's the fact that you specifically pointed out how you violated the coupon policy and added a “ha ha” at the end. I'm with Guest. Thanks for scamming the store so that they can get even more strict in response.
            • shannon
              I don't feel I scammed the store at all GUEST'S. I clearly had items voided due to my coupons being taken from my stack of 20.
              So me going back & choosing to do more than one transaction was to be able to use my full 20 Q's like everyone else.
              Not sure if you would want to commute to HT like I do & not get to use my 20 Q's. So simple solution is to have more transactions. No hard feelings from my HT crew. They have always been GREAT!
              **btw, my ha ha was not intended to be sneaky.. sorry you misunderstood that way~~
        • shannon
          Looks like they have changed it.. hate to hear this :(
          Still good deals out there.. Good luck ladies, have fun coupon-ing :)
          Doubling
          * We accept 20 double coupons per day per customer/household with VIC card; all others redeemed at face value. No orders may be separated that would allow the 20 coupon limit to be exceeded or any other coupon limits to be exceeded.
          * We double manufacturer’s coupons up to face value of $0.99; with total amount not to exceed $1.98 or entire retail of item; whichever is less.
          * We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; additional coupons for like item will be honored at face value. Like items include all flavors.
          * No competitor coupons will be doubled or tripled.
          * Coupons that state “do not double” should not be doubled or tripled.
          * eVIC coupons can be accepted along with paper coupons, however will not be doubled.
          Internet Coupons
          * We gladly accept internet manufacturer’s coupons for product; however no “free” product internet coupons are accepted.
          * With the purchase of two like manufacturer’s products, we accept two internet coupons, per store, per day.
          * We do not accept internet coupons that do not appear to be originals or that won’t scan.
      • ShopperSteph
        I'd take all those items back and go to another HT. The 3 HT's the I frequent have always doubled mine, they just do not give you buy one get one free items with internet coupons. I think they were wrong.
    • Donna
      Woo hoo – just got back from my first trip of the week. Actually got EVERYTHING on my list, which is amazing because there are a lot of couponers that shop at the store I go to & it gets wiped out of the best deals pretty fast (like by the end of today, most of the free stuff will be gone!).
      Got $103.05 worth of groceries for $23.60 + tax (saved 77%)!! :)
      There are a TON of Catlinas that printed for me too – 5 to be exact.
    • Ardnasfu82
      Went this morning before work!
      I got 3 cartons of the Smart Balance Milk(FREE), 3 bottles of Baileys Coffee Creamer(FREE), 6 Boxes of Kelloggs cereal, 45 cans of cat food, 3 tubs of strawberries, 3 Philly Cooking Crème(FREE), 3 Friskies cat treats(FREE), One 12 pack Diet Lipton Tea, 1 box Quaker Instant Oatmeal.
      I spent $29.80, Saved $83.54.
      Also, I got a Catalina for Save $1.00 off one box of Honey Bunches of Oats Raisin Medley, $0.75 off 2 Temptations Cat Treats, and one for a Free Gallon of Milk up to $3.59.
      Will probably go back on my lunch break with a borrowed VIC card and get free stuff like the yogurts and gum that I didn’t get this morning- Already want to do my second round!!!
      • Guest
        There's a reason that they limit you to 20 per day, and borrowing a VIC card is the type of thing that makes stores stop offering deals like this.
        • Sarah
          What's the difference if she borrows a VIC card & uses the 20 coupons per day attached to it, or if the person who owns the card does? The limit doesn't go up…
          • LeAnna
            I sometimes use my 24yo’s card….if I have over 20 coupons. I ussually have my 16yo check out w/ those items and pay cash. I justify this-b/c a BIG part of what I buy goes to my 24 and 22yo(who live together outside the home). My son works two jobs-his gf was raised never having to worry about money(but her money is not his) and my 22yo dd works f/t and works f/t and is working on her masters. So-when I can shop for them-buy them stuff at great prices-I do it!!
        • Ardnasfu82
          When I went, I didn’t get any of the prior deals I got in the morning, so it was just like going the next day- but for different items. I think it would be wrong, for instance, to go get 3 free milks on one card, then go back and get 3 more free milks on another card. I did NOT do that. And besides, I only like to go when I don’t have the kids with me, and that happened to be the only day I didn’t have to worry about the kids.
      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Deborah-Lawrence/811891739 Deborah Lawrence
        Hey just saw that on the Smart Balance Milk and the Baileys Creamer it says Do Not Double. So did they not give you a hard time with that?
        • Ardnasfu82
          I had the Baileys Creamer from the insert, not internt printable, and I don’t think it had DND on them. Same with the milk- but they all started with a 5 so they all doubled.
    • Arineve
      LOVE HT….My hubby and I went on Sunday before Super Doubles started since we had some coupons that were going to expire. We had to split our purchases up into two different transactions. My transaction was pretty awesome…I started off at $208.74….had $110 in coupons and then $74 in evic savings…I walked out spending $24.74.
      My husband's transaction started at $64 and he paid $14. It was the best shopping trip thus far. Can't wait to hit up super doubles this week! Thank God it's pay day week!
    • blade
      Was not on sale? has anyone else seen this? $3.99
      Ghirardelli, 5.32 oz, $2.49
      Manufacturer Coupon -$1 off Ghiradelli Squares chocolate bags, 4.12 oz + printable
      (makes it 49¢)
      • Ashlee
        this wasn't on sale at my store either
      • Kaitlynnmarie
        Yes I went to two stores and the first it was the 3.99 and the other store had it on clereance for the 2.49
        • blade
        I only found the dark chocolate/caramel one on clearance for $2.49. The others were $3.99. Luckily that is my fav combo! :-)
        • Blade
          Wife wants the dark cho raspberry.
    • mrsmacphat
      Does anyone know the zip code for the Purex crystals?
    • Jo
      I was so excited in the store today! I saved 85% buying $77.04 worth of groceries for $16.08. Yeah!!
    • tarheelpat
      I tried to use a $1 off two Butterfinger Snackerz this morning. The clerk said I couldn't b/c they were BOGOF. They were not marked BOGOF. So I didn't get them. Since then it occurred to me that I need to get four and the coupon will work and give me all four free. Not sure where I got the coupon — it's an internet one.
      • Nccouponmom
        You don't really have to get 4. You could just get 3 to use the $/2 coupon. I have been told that and I've tried it and it's worked. That way you're only paying half price for that 3rd one.
    • Sbakerbeader
      Our Harris Teeter in Durham NC does not accept Kroger or Target or any competitor's coupons.
      • Guest
        Harris Teeter's policy is that they only take competitor's coupons such as 'save $5 on any $50 grocery order'. They don't take competitor's coupons for individual items, and they don't take competitors internet coupons. It's all in their policy which you can look up on their website. Some stores don't always follow it to the letter, but it's there.
        • Guest
          Excuse me, sorry, I did not realize that they have ammended their policy – it now says that they DO accept local competitors' manufacturer's coupons. This is a recent change that I was not aware of. Of course, it is up to the individual store's discretion to decide whom they deem to be a 'competitor'.
          • CatieCat
            I believe in the 3.13 RP or SS there were a few Manufacture Coupons for Windex but also said “Redeemable at Dollar General” The cashier accepted it, but she said they didnt take comp. coupons. I told her it said “Manufacturer” on it, but she said that since Dollar General was also on it, they aren't supposed to take it.
            • Sarah
              She probably wasn't aware of the policy change. It seems to have happened (literally) overnight.
        • Samantha
          IN cary NC store they keep changing their minds. Last week they accepted catalinas with another store's name on. Previously they did not. I just say, hey ” I am not sure what HT accepts these days, can I use this?”, half the time the workers don't either but will try your coupon and if it works it works.
    • nancycrom
      For everybody buying the Kelloggs- there's a HT catalina deal. I emailed it to Jenny a few days ago, but don't see it listed still.
      ** Buy any 3 or more Kelloggs cereals 8.7oz or larger between 3/18-4/9/11
      and get 1 gallon of FREE milk up to 3.59 oyno
      Share the deals:)
    • Lori
      Our Harris Teeter in Albemarle, NC WOULD NOT DOUBLE INTERNET COUPONS. Needless to say I WAS SICK!!! The cashier had alot of coupons to take off. It would be bad to work there,people were really upset.
      • Tgriggs777
        Print that coupon policy and stand your ground! I'm in Mooresville/Denver, NC, area and have not had that problem. Wish you well!
        • Jennifer S
          Also call Customer Service because my Denver Store wouldn't recognize the ECoupons, saying I wasn't signed up even though I was. So HT Customer Service called the Denver store telling them they needed to honor my online coupons. I give kudos to the customer service center!
    • Jennyprice4
      Just made my first trip. I spend $5.77 and saved $54.44! And I got $1.50 back for my next purchase (due to buying 2 mccormick spices) and a coupon for a free gallon of milk (due to buying 3 boxes of kelloggs cereal). I love when couponing pays off big!
      • Xraychik512
        How did you know about the free gallon of milk and $1.50 back? Thats great!
    • stephanie kirk
      I just spent $14.26 and my original bill was $88.43 and that included buying a bag of Clementines for the twins:)
    • Sandra
      Does the Florence Harris Teeter double internet coupons?
    • Saviorbucks
      BIG signs at the register in Charlotte Stores Do Not Doubles will NOT BE DOUBLED! The manager was showing a cashier how to check each coupon for expiration date and the words do not double on them and to remove them so they can be corrected since the computer would automatically double them. I had about 5 that would not double and they voided out those items for me. This is a newly enforced policy and be prepared for your checkout times to be a little longer as the cashiers adjust to this and of course the customers too! Remember, cashiers are just following policy and management is following corporate orders!
      • Ctrinkle
        I have yet to understand why manufacturer's put do not double or triple on their coupons. Does it hurt them in some way? Anybody know?
        • Saviorbucks
          I'm not an expert but I think that Manufacturers put DND on Qs to let the stores know they will only reimburse them for the face value of the Q plus handling regardless of store policies. In general, doubling is a store promotion and they “eat” that extra savings as a way to encourage shopping in their store. HT policy states on the website that they don't double those Qs but I've never had them enforce it. I'm not sure how they'll be able to keep the pace, it's very tedious work for a cashier to check 20 Qs per order.
          • LeAnna
            as the stores are the one who 'eat' this 'double'-and the fine print clearly states 'we will reimburse you for the face value-plus whatever handling charge'-it just does not make sense to me. I say-lets put it back on the manq….enough complaints and they may change!
        • Krista
          If you think about it, coupons are used for marketing- which is why you’ll often see a manufacturer list a specific flavor, size, or new product on a coupon. I was told that Manufacturers put DND on their coupons because part of marketing is figuring out how much someone will pay for your product. If stores double that coupon, even thought the store is eating the extra that they double, it makes it hard for the manufacturer to figure out exactly how much consumers are willing to pay for your product and thus defeats a lot of the purpose of them putting out the coupon in the first place! Make sense?
      • Laura
        My Harris Teeter in North Charlotte was fine about doubling DND… I think I only had one or two, but they still doubled them.
        • Saviorbucks
          Glad you made out fine! Some of my best deals have been DNDs so this is gonna change my game plan a little.:(
      • kari
        I went to HT in winston salem NC and they would not double the smart balance milk, the baileys creamer and the mentos coupons! BOO!
      • mommyx6
        Do you mind telling me which store this was? Had major issue today at a store in Charlotte. NONE of my coupons doubled…they seemed super annoyed when I asked why…. called over the customer service and then the manager. They kept saying that 3 (of my 20) coupons stated DND. Fine, but why didn't the others double.. they acted like I was trying to scam them or something. Also… I have shopped there before during super doubles and they have never called out the DND. I ended up walking out and leaving my cart… I will not go back to this store. (rea village off providence)
        • Saviorbucks
          this was Steele Creek area, which has wonderful staff, and are always very friendly even when enforcing the rules. Your experience sounds very aggravating how terrible to have to leave your buggy like that!
        • Ctrinkle
          bummer! I was planning on going to that store tomorrow because they are always so nice.
      • LeAnna
        I like how you said that….and you are 100% correct. My store has not cracked down on that as much. But this morning I was careful not to use and DND's. I went before work-and did not want to get hung up. I say we put pressure on the manq to take that wording OFF! Why is it there anyhow? What are they trying to accomplish? I have bought many an item-b/c it was free or nearly free, after a q-and gotten hooked on it. So they are hurting themselves!
    • Ctrinkle
      First trip bill was $80 before sales and coupons – $9.23 after. Went for mostly free stuff today! The Philly B1G1Free coupon is back on the evic and you can refresh it after you use it.
      In Charlotte at Cotswold, I found 1lb Oscar Meyer Deli meat on sale for $3 with a $1 peelie! My total today was $43 for about $170 worth of food! I found peelies on chicken for $1.50 off when you buy the Philly cooking creme (which was free after coupons). I found $1 peelies on the Simply Asia noodle bowls. My $43 total included 6 lbs of chicken breasts, 1lb hamburger meat, 3lbs oscar mayer deli meat, and produce with no coupons. I was pretty impressed, and I still have a ton of coupons for things that will be free when I go back later in the week! Thank you Jenny!!
      • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
        Did your $1.50 off the chicken double? Mine didn't. I didn't have the nicest cashier in Cary, NC and I'm still not 100% sure what happened- need to look back at my receipt. I bought 3 Philly Cooking Cremes (had 2 $1.50/1 coups), and 1 chicken (with $1.50 off CHICKEN wyb Cooking Creme). She'd only let me use 1 Philly coupon- even after reading the peelie was for $1.50 off the chicken. Didn't make a big fuss because I knew I had the B1G1 e-vic as well. Anyways, I'll need to go back and look at my receipt because it seems strange to me…
          That q started with a “9” and it would not double
      Oh, and if you get the evic coupon for BOGO Jello temptations and use your $1 coupons too, then you get a $1 off your next purchase too! That was a nice surprise!!
      • CatieCat
        I got that…its $1 off the next shopping order, right? Not just the next purchase of Jello Temptations???
        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=530203897 Tanya Burns
          Yes, off whatever you buy. Sweet deal :)
      • Judyleev
        Boo I didn't get that. Oh well. I'm still excited to try them. They look yummy.
    • Lindsay
      Does anyone know of a zip code that has the philly cooking cream? Thanks!
    • Mary Ellen
      Jenny, I can't thank you enough for all you and your staff do to help us save money, I just made my first trip this week and spent 60 dollars but saved 120.00–Thank you so much.
    • AB
      I've only been seriously couponing for about 3 months, but in the past two weeks I've had issues at HT that I've never had before. They refused to accept any coupons on the purchase of just one product that is B1G1 (even though it rings at half price) and would not accept $1/2 when purchasing 2 products that are B1G1 (stated I had to buy 4 to use it). I didn't have any issues in the past and they told me that corporate has been cracking down on them. Just wanted to share so that others aren't surprised/disappointed at the register.
      • Nccouponmom
        I have had to deal with the B1G1 and $/2 coupons. And I was told you only need to buy 3. Because you buy 1 and you get 1 and then you buy 1 (which is half price) and you can use the q. And I've never heard of them not taking a q just on one of a B1G1. That will suck if they do that.
        • LeAnna
          NC-the guy in our store(Hoadly road-Nor VA) who works/orders for dairy and freezer is awesome. I ussually give him a heads up when I see him-if I realize there is a great Q coming out-that will wipe him out. He tried to order xtra of the philly cooking creams. But did not get them in. He said he ordered tons of the Khaki(sp? q's were on penguin)…But this guy was so great to me this morning that he showed me products that he tagged w/ manq q's from the vendor-that made them free! I LOVE my store!!
          • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
            Wow, that's great! I'm like that with the butchers- they will always speciality cut my meat for me…. looks like I need to venture out the the dairy man :)
        • LeAnna
          I always buy 2 different varieties in b1g1…especially if it is a $/2(b/c if not-I could seperate my order)-I have never had a q beep. The only way it would-is if the cashier is noticing and is being a butsky! And in situations such as this…I look for young male cashiers…or young girls.(I know-it is silly-but those old biddy's who work during the day-they just don't have anything better to do than complain and try to ruin my trip-LOL) I go in after 3-when the p/t ers are there! The front end mngr at my HT even said the daytime cashiers hate couponers…not sure why-geeze!
          • Grocersavings101
            You wouldn’t happen to be in Fayetteville, NC would you? :) This sounds like my store.
      • Sue
        I had the same problem today. I ended up leaving my entire order on the counter and leaving. Probably shouldn't have but it got so irritating every time they came to a coupon they told me I had to buy more. The least they could do is just help me fix it but instead they treated me like I was trying to steal the products.
    • Judyleev
      I just got back from my HT in Raleigh. I know that other posters have said this before but I feel the need to reiterate. It is very frustrating when I hear stories (as I did this afternoon from the employees) of coupon-ers going into the store and buying 3, 4 or 5 of an item because it's free. I was excited about the Smart Balance as my daughter IS lactose intolerant and a few items. But, they were already wiped clean! The gentleman that works the dairy department even told me that 1 lady came in there and bought 4 cartons and was even bragging to him that the only reason she was buying them was because they were free! Whenever there is an item for free (and not just super doubles) I try to always be considerate and only buy 1 of those items each shopping trip. I would just like for individuals to remember common courtesy when shopping! But thanks Jenny for an amazing list and there are some great deals for super doubles!
      • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
        Luckily Harris Teeter has the 3 like coupon policy- or this would be much worse! I think 2 or 3 is an acceptable number. I sometimes don't understand why stores don't look further into the items they have during SD and see what items couponers will be getting for free (ie- they need to restock frequently!). Since the manufacturer reimburses them for the coupons, you'd think HT would make out if they just knew which items to keep in stock!
      • Pamgam1
        It is not being inconsiderate to purchase whatever a person chooses to purchase. The items are for anyone to purchase. If there is a quantity limit on an item then the store will then state that there is a limit. Harris Teeter offers rainchecks for items that they run out of unless stated otherwise. There are also other Harris Teeter stores. There are always other solutions, people need to learn to let things go and be happy.
          Please tell me the other options for Lactose Free Milk. Its 4.89 for a HALF GALLON. My Husband recently lost his salary job & i can't get anymore hours at mine. So lets all use our manners & consider others in need too.
          • Coco
            Had kids on soy formula until they went to school (before the days of SILK) when they switched to a product called Lactaid – you could add the drops into milk and it would predigest the milk enzymes so there would be no problem. I know they sell the cartons now but this was a bottle with a dropper I think I found at a health food store.
      • Kaiuni
        I understand what u are saying but for those of us who coupon because we have to, this is the time we stock up for times when we don't have the cash or coupons to shop.
      • kelly
        I'm in winston and they would NOT double the smart balance coupon, so I still had to pay 1.50 for it..
      • christa
        My store in Asheville will allow only 3 like coupons per transaction.
      • LeAnna
        I don't understand why someone would do that. I agree w/ you. However-w/ that said…I do buy the limit HT allows us to buy IF I use that product regularly. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the philly cooking creams. Darn straight-I bought three today! But buying 3 is not going to wipe out a supply. The guy at my store(Hoadly road-No VA) told me that he ordered 4 cases last week-and did not get any in. IF I did not use them at least once a week-I would have rethought it-and bought maybe 1. But we are a family of 6-and use two of those for one recipe. But to buy JUST b/c it is free….makes no sense.
      • http://nccoupondeals.com Colleen
        I get seriously annoyed with the shelf clearers too. I went to my favorite HT at 8:30 this morning and ALL of the Smart Balance milk was gone(usually the lactose free is still there). I spoke with a cashier that enforces the 3 like item limit and told me there was a lady who tried to buy nine of them in 1 transaction!
        • Anonymous35
          I had to stop a woman this morning who was trying to buy all 9 that we had on the shelf. That's not fair to everyone else who wants one or two.
          • katie
            I typed this in response to Colleen, but wanted to send it to you as well in case you were my cashier. If you weren't my cashier, I still want to share since you work there. I'd love to see all of the HT stores on the same page about the policy–if they were, it would have saved me from looking like the “bad guy” today.
            If you are in Holly Springs, that may have been me. I have always gone by 3 like coupons, but a friend who shops at a HT in Raleigh had it explained to her that the rule was actually 3 identical items (so basically, if you got 3 different flavors, you could get 3 of each flavor and use 9 of the same coupons). So I went this morning to get 3 each of 3 different kinds of the half gallons (which may seem like hoarding, but will actually only last ONE week for us–I would have had to buy the same amount of milk whether it was free or not) and was informed by my HT that that's not how they interpret the policy. I have ALWAYS couponed by the rules and felt really embarrassed this morning. I asked a few questions to clarify because I didn't want to make the same mistake again, but I wasn't trying to break the rules. Unfortunately, I came across looking like a greedy punk and I HATE that, because I don't want cashiers to grimace when they see me coming–I want to do things the right way! I just wish that all of the stores were on the same page so that doing what is policy in one store doesn't makes you look like a greedy thief in another.
            After clarification, I was partially right–I could have used all nine coupons like I thought, but I didn’t have to get only 3 of each kind to do so (they could have all been exactly the same). The first 3 identical coupons would double and then the rest would have been at face value. That’s straight out of the Harris Teeter policy. Thankfully, after I clarified with customer service, I was able to talk to my cashier from yesterday and we are all on the same page now (and she doesn’t think I was trying to break any rules or anything :P).
    • Sarah Coe
      went to ht today and spent 10 and saved 50! would have been spent 8 and saved 50 but my manu. q for bailey's creamer $1 off would not double? huh. it did say 'do not double' but i did not check the bar code for the 5 or 9 deal. oh well. also i bought the pampers diapers with the $2 off q and the cashier did not scan my Q and took it! Thief! Thief!
      • Pnutter
        If it was the coupon from the insert it did say do not double.
      I am so disappointed.Went to HT in Florence and shelves are wiped out.They only had one or two items that were on my list.Wanted to get my husband the new Honey Bunches of Oats raisen medly to try but not one single box.Sale started at 7am and I was there by 1pm.Unbelieveable.I am seriously wondering if super doubles are worth it.
      • Tlwefuqua
        My HT was out of it when I went this afternoon too. I spoke with someone who was restocking the cereal aisle. He said that he noticed this morning how quickly it was selling out and he has already ordered 5 cases of it to come in tonight. Maybe yours will too. Super Doubles is totally worth it! Be sure to go back later this week after they have had a chance to restock.
      • Coupons4shannon
        Keep going back. Coupon Keri has talked to the managers before the sale started to get a heads up on what they need to order. She sent a list on Sunday and another one on Tuesday when she got the actual add.
        I went first thing this morning and some of the stuff that was a carry over from last week was still sold out from last week. They were steady stocking.
    • Kaiuni
      I love SuperDoubles! Me and the hubby went to HT this morning. We were able to score $167 for $38.00!! The kids were so elated to see yogurts in the fridge again. Lol
        Just want to add that the employees at steelecreek HT in Charlotte are awesome
    • Ronda
      I only have one HT here.So wish we had another one.Spoke to manager and they are getting a truck in tonight but will restock after midnight,so will not be available until tomorrow.By the time I can get there after 5 tomorrow they will be sold out again.He told me they would be thats how crazy it has been.I'm just frustrated.I know supper doubles is worth it.Just got aggravated.I hate making more than one trip.
    • Ronda
      Oh I hear you about having to coupon.I lost my job and have become disabled all in the span of a year and half.I've cut everything I can cut and this has allowed me to save money greatly on our grocery bill.I stock up too.
      Not sure if anyone else spotted it, but today while looking for the Secret Deod deal, I saw Suave Deod clearanced to 1.49. And there is a .75 coupon either in this last week's or the week before's paper. Making another FREEBIE!!
      Can anyone tell me how it works when you have a Buy 2 get 1 free coupon, but the item is on sale BOGO??? not sure if it is worth it to use my coupons for candy bars & M&M's…need to stock up for easter baskets :)
      • anonymous
        You would have to buy a total of 5 in order for the coupon to be good.
      • Amy
        Drug stores are running tons of candy promos as of late. I've gotten free skittles, dove candy, Easter bunnies, Reeses eggs, etc. I would skip this deal at HT since you'd have to buy 5 to use the Q – not the best deal out there.
    • jmccoy
      My HT is in Gastonia, NC. Actually wasn't too impressed with my trip since a lot of the deals listed here and on other sites I check weren't available there. Things I was planning on shopping for just weren't on sale or my store didn't even carry them (first aid products, treseme climate control, etc.)
      I did find another deal though in the travel section: for anyone who got $1 off two clorox disinfecting products internet coupon. 9-ct disinfecting wipes are 2 for $3 making them just 50 cents each. It was an okay sub for some of my shopping list.
      • Jackabearmom
        Come up to Denver, NC they had the Treseme!
        I had the same problem last week. About 1/2 the items weren't on sale and I noticed a HT in Huntersville is cheaper than the HT in Denver, NC. But most of the time I get everything I need.
      Saved around $80 today!!
      Be on the lookout for a Phili Cream Cheese Cookbook! They are $19.99 but if you buy 4 philly products you get it FREE! I had 3 cooking cream coupons and just bought a random philly item for $2.xx and got the $20 book for free :D
      • Zinniasgive
        How did you get the cookbook? Do you have to submit receipts or something? My family loves it. And it really adds some flavor to so many different recipes.
      Has anyone had any luck finding the short stack pringles (.99 cans)? Where did you find them?
      • Frugal4eva
        bottom of the shelf, where the regular pringles are.
        • Amy
          Ditto. Only one store in my area even carries them and they are right next to the regular ones.
    • Anonymous35
      I am a manager with Harris Teeter, and find it entertaining to see what you all are saying about us and what we are doing to help you save money, and at the same time, I am concerned about the complaints that some of you are having. I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Not necessarily as an employee, but someone who knows the coupon policies like the back of their hand. I love super double and triple coupons as much as all of you do as well, but I have to abide by the policies like any of you do too when I am shopping.
      • Joy
        Thanks for your honesty. Where r the short stack Pringles located in your store?
        • Anonymous35
          We actually don't carry them in my store, but they are either on the snack isle or on the isle with the chips. Every now and then you can find them on the candy racks by the registers.
          that just made me laugh, Joy. where are the Pringles?! LOL.
          Thanks for that Anonymous35 . . . I feel like I finally saw the other side of it all . . . now I understand the process a bit more.
          • Anonymous35
            Thank you anonymous! I wish that you would tell others that we want to help them save this money. We get a very small window of time that they send us the list of active coupons and items that are on sale (same time). We have one truck worth of time really to get some of the coupon items in and most times our orders are shorted to “even out” all the other stores orders too.
            I can only speak for the associates at my store (sorry I can't reveal the store I work at), but we really don't mind couponers. We get a little stressed that it takes a little more time at the register, but other than that our FE personnel really get a kick out of telling you how much you saved!
            I hope that none of you will fault HT for “running out” of these super double items. Like I said before, we are at the mercy of our suppliers and we really do try our hardest to bring the “best of the best”! :)
      • LeAnna
        TY so much for offering your help. At my store-I am known for being an 'honest' couponer. I hear horrid stories of pple trying to rip them off. I guess my biggest question is why HT is cracking down on the dnd's? B/c wether it says dnd-or not-HT is eating the double-correct? So why?(unless it has a 9-and the machine will not double them) I just don't understand this!
        • Anonymous35
          The reason that everyone seems to think that we are now “cracking down” is that they have revised and restated some of our policies, and stressed to the management in the stores that we need to enforce them. We have had so many customer complaints that we run out of items during double/triple coupons that they have put in the policy that a customer cannot split orders in order to use more than the 20 coupon limit per day. (meaning that you cannot use but one VIC card per day in order to use more than 20 coupons). Our limits were put in place so that every customer that wants a certain item can hopefully get it. Ex. the the limit of 3 on any one item. This gives everyone that comes in during the day the chance to get that item and also gives HT the chance to re-stock the items so that customers throughout the week can also get it. AND so that maybe you can come back later in the week and get it again. :) TRUST ME, we get just as upset as you do when we order and item and the truck gets there and the item is on the out of stock sheet from the warehouse. Please remember that hundreds, thousands of grocers and stores nationwide are ordering this product too. When an item sells out so quickly at the warehouse, we are at the mercy of our supplier to get that item to us quickly. Sometimes it comes before the week is out, sometimes not.
          What the cashiers and associates hate about doubles/triples is not that we hate couponers, we LOVE to see you guys save so much money (at least my store does) we just hate that we get yelled at and griped at all the time about all the items that we're out of. It gets frustrating. We're trying, we just don't have any control over what doesn't come in from the warehouse.
          • LeAnna
            I underdstand everything you said. For instance….they ordered 4 cases of the philly cooking cremes(a biggy) this week, at our HT. He did not get any in. I believe this is due to the popularity of the product-and the marketing they have done for it. Will HT get angry customers who don't 'get it'? YES. But my question still remains…..why not double dnd's? B/c the manq is not paying for it either way?
            • Anonymous35
              HT eats the price of any doubling/tripling that they do. The manufacturer will only pay they face value of the coupon no matter what. It's sales like this that keep the economy rolling! Let's all hope that they keep this up!!!
            • Shoppersanonymous
              Can you explain how many register rewards from Walgreens are allowed per transaction. I have always used as many as I have but was told the other day that only one per transaction. The coupon says good for your next purchase.
              Your input will be truly appreciated.
              Thank you
            • Anonymous35
              Also, if the manufacturer has specified that they do not want their retailers to double/triple the coupon, then we (as a company respecting another companies wishes) will honor their request.
      ADVICE NEEDED. Went to my HT today- no complaints with what I got- but the problem comes in at the end. I gave my coupons all went through fine, she took 2 RR from Walgreens no problem. But when my catalinas printed of she handed me my receipt and one catalina and casually took another catalina and handed it to the bagger who tried to put in on a shelf where the paper bags where stored but I called him out on it and told him I would like my catalina that he was stowing way- he looked at me and said oh did I put it ther? I looked at my catalina and it was for the free milk when you bought 3 kellogs cereal. No telling how many other folks they have done this with- very nicely choreographed. He is stealing from the customers thinking we don't know or care. My question do I call the manager and give names or just let it be since afterall I got my catalina?
            I shop in Winston – the one off of Country Club. Your post will make me change my habits.. I had started going to the cashiers to ring me up during super doubles time but after reading this, if at all possible I am going to go through the self checkout. At least in self checkoutI can see the catalina's print. And you should not feel like you are the bad guy. There are a lot of people looking for work, so it would be nice for the idiot to be fired so that someone who appreciates the job can have it. As business owner myself, trust me when I say if he is stealing from the customers he is probably stealing from Harris Teeter in some way as well.
            • docendy
              I didn't know you could do coupons with self checkout. Good idea. It wasn't the one off country club- that's a nice store. I just hate that these kids think this is acceptable behavior. I appreciate your comment
            • Gloria9000
              Yes. You can use coupons at self checkout. You hand them to the cashier who covers self checkout right after your rung up everything and she or he does the coupons. Good thing is that your receipt and your catalina print right there at your station, so no one can steal them. I still can't believe someone would be that sneaky. If he does that to the wrong person that could really cause quite a scene.
            • Nidalohmud
              OMG.. I went to HT for three times for these deal and didnt get any catalina back. I alway forgot to check mine. Last week i saw one cashier did the same thing to other customer.
          • http://www.moolasavingmom.blogspot.com jessie alonzo
            Which one in Winston Salem? I ask b/c I had an issue @ one where the cashier hid the catalina from me- put it in his pocket. I realized once I got to the car that I hadn't gotten it. Went back in and asked him and he said that he had “accidently” put it there. I spoke to the manager b/c IO KNOW that their policy is that if the customer doesn' t want it it is to be torn up RIGHT then and put in the trash!
        Definitely tell the manager! The manager can research the situation and handle it appropriately.
          I hate being a bad guy but as a business owner myself I wouldn't want that same behavior going on with my business. They are young kids but they know better. This younger generation has such an entitlement attitude it's difficult to know what to do. Thank you. I will call in the morning.
      • Floridaphysicianassistant
        Hmmm maybe they are selling the Qs on EBay or something? That was a slick move they tried to pull on you! Too bad for them that you are smarter than they are!
      • tater
        I would most definitely report this issue. It's totally wrong and needs to be stopped immediately. People are spending their hard earned money to buy this cereal and they deserve the coupon!
    • My3kidz
      My store didn't have the Ken's Steak House Salad Dressing on sale. Bummer:(
      • Amy
        Neither did mine :(
    • Lily_dragon
      So I went to get minute steamers n someone literally took all the peelies. Personally I thunk that is so rude. I feel if u buy the product then the peelie on the package is urs.
      • Eharris1975
        Witnessed this happen in Raleigh NC today. This is why we all get a bad name. Don't spoil everything for everyone else.
        • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
          guilty I taake one every once in awhile but I again I don't take them all I maybe take 1 or 2.
          • Liz
            Will definitely do that in the future. Just wrote HT corporate to see what they have to say. May go back with policy and my receipt. Maybe I just need to cool down. Mainly disappointed. Thanks.
      • EmilyMomof3
        I was buying some at HT during the last SD and saw that someone had taken the majority of the $1 peelies there as well. I made a comment to my husband (something along the lines of: “I can’t believe someone took all these coupons!!!” :-)), and there was a worker there restocking stuff in the freezer section and he told us that if we couldn’t find any with the coupons still on to let them (customer service or cashier, I’m guessing) know and they would still give me the $1 (or $2 if I hadn’t reached my doubling limit)…was able to find enough with the peelies on, but you might want to ask them about it. anyway, hope that helps!
    • Emily
      I have an old Harris Teeter Catalina for $1.50 off. Will it double during the Super Double event? It says “will not double”.
      • Anonymous35
        catalina coupons do not double
        • Emily
          Thanks!
    • confused soul
      Can anyone help me figure out why I cant find the printable coupons when I click on the link? I found a couple of others, but not the coupon behind the link????
    • eb
      Do they restock these products daily? I went to HT by 10 a.m. today and they were already out of several items I had planned to get for free… :( Still made out ok. But I thought “man!” Those people with multiples of the same coupon get here EARLY!
      • laidbackracing
        ask when the trucks come in at James Island it is every other night and they restock….I try to get there on either Sat or SDun EARLY to get what I miss and usually get everything I have big coupons for after a few trips
        • CatieCat
          Thanks for the tip!! I go to HT off 41 in Mt. P and usually do my trips around 11am on Sundays…usually can get what I want.
    • Lily_dragon
      Has anyone been to the HT in Charleston on Long Point Road in Belle Hall? I'm scared that my coupons that say Do Not Double won't double. Can anyone help who's already been there with success?
      • K72stow
        Most of mine double, as long as it is not printed from HT.
        • jennifer
          I had a great experiece at the HT on Long Point. The computer automatically doubled all the DND’s. I’d spoken with someone at customer service before I started and they said they should all double as HT had decided to “eat” the cost of the doubling and it’s not coming from the manufacturer. Thanks, everyone!
      • CatieCat
        If it says “Do Not Double” on it I've always assumed it wouldn't be doubling, that way I just plan my shopping trip as if it weren't doubling.
      • xseannax
        At that store it totally depends on the cashier, but if the manager has to get involved, more than likely every coupon that says DND will be pulled out and undoubled. I've had so many terrible experiences there that I keep driving to get to either the one on 17 or the one on 41. Long Point is my last resort store where I may run in and get 1 BOGO item that I cannot find in another store.
      • Donna
        The one on Folly in James Island is a great store. If you have coupons that say DND on them, especially if they're printed ones, they will normally pull them and enter them manually so they don't double.
        If the coupon says DND, then honestly they shouldn't have to double it – they're following the manufacturer's terms so they can be reimbursed.
        I tend to stay away from DND ones as a general rule so I don't have to worry about it. But, like I said, they'll probably only focus on printables if you go to that store.
    • jmje
      This was pretty fun. This is my second time with super doubles and I saved $30 and spent $14. This website is very helpful.
    • Christina
      A friend of mine just came back from HT and said that the cashier said that they are no longer doubling internet coupons. Have you guys heard that? (she ended up putting a ton of stuff back)
      Thanks!
      • Linda
        Where do you shop at?
        • Christina
          1 of the HT's in Greensboro, NC (Golden Gate). Another 1 she had no problem at. She said the manager came over and said it “just went into affect and came from upper management”
          • blm
            Not true. Call the Corporate 800 number and they will tell you that they still double internet coupons. If need be, call in front of the store manager!
      • heather
        Not true, she needs to talk to a manager.
      • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
        Next time tell her to bring a copy of the harris teeter coupon policy listed on their website and if they have a problem with it they can call their own customer service number.
        • heather
          Amen to that!
    • Teresa
      My husband loves Smart Balance Milk so this week I was able to get 10 gallons for $1.20 w/coupons they have the best expiration date (5-24-11). I think we will drink it all by than. Thank you Jenny I love your site.
      • amr
        I think buying 10 gallons is a little excessive. Save some for the other people that might want some! I really wish HT would crack down on people that get more than 3 of the same item. It's really not fair to the other people trying to get a good deal also.
        • michelle
          I agree completely! I went last super doubles everyday for smart balance milk and was never able to get even 1.
          • Lady
            If it was Glade Scented Candles you wouldn't be bitching. Go on Wednesday, get there early. HT is 24 hours, so make it an early priority if you want the good stuff. I have 8 a.m. classes that go until 10 p.m. and I get up at 6:30 to make sure I'm there in time to get the hot items and have enough time to take things home and get to class. I'm sick of people making this stuff such a big deal.
            • blm
              Totally agree Lady. Stop complaining people. Who doesn't want free items? First come, first serve. Geez.
        • CatieCat
          Agreed. 3 is my max that I'll buy of anything. Its people like Teresa who feel the need to buy as many as they can get their hands on that ruin it for everyone else.
          • blm
            I find it completely rude to call her out for buying 10. You dont know her economic situation. She may need to coupon and buy 10 at such a low price because she doesn't have the money to buy them at regular price. You never know how others live. I don't think stocking up on things is bad. If I have multiple coupons I stock up on things and donate them to animal shelters and local organizations… am I ruining it for everyone as well?
            • Wdra0632
              Totally agree, it is her money, in these economic times we all are trying to save everywhere and way we can. Praise the Lord for coupons and places like HT that allow us to feed our families at a lower cost. Love this site and hope it does not turn into a judging site. Wish I had 10 of those Smart Balance q's I only had 2.
            • CatieCat
              If you are completely wiping out the shelf of a particular item, then yes you are ruining it for everyone else who would also like to use a coupon to provide for their family.
              If you need to buy in a large quantity, call the store and talk to the manager about special orders. Thats the right way to go about getting the product at a high quantity.
            • blm
              I do make special orders and I also get my butt up at 5 am on the first day of super doubles and head out. I provide for my family and I help provide for other families who can’t afford to do so! Shame on you for telling me and other people that we are doing something wrong for stocking up.
              It is simply a story of supply vs demand. HT knows how crazy super doubles/triples can get. There are always going to be more people trying to get products then there are products to give. But complaining about people getting items and stocking up IF THEY USE THEM AND/OR DONATE THEM is just wrong.
          • Mylilcupcake
            I do not understand why you people are mad cause people buy 3 or even more of items..that is the whole point of coupons to stock up and save as much as you can…if I can get something at little to no cost i am going to get what i can get while i can get it..i get aggravated to when they sell out fast of things but thats not the persons fault that is buying more of one thing its the stores fault for not stocking up..they know that its double coupon week and that theres gonna be alot of coupon users so they should stock up better…so all i can say is get what you can and use as many coupons as you can to get deals..my family doesnt make a whole lot of money so if i can get it im gonna get it :)
        • EB
          What is excessive to one person is normal for others. I have 6 growing children and 10 gallons of milk will last us 10 days ( and less than a week if I splurge and buy ovaltine) It is not unusual for me to buy 14 gallons at a time because we get paid every 2 weeks and that is how much we drink in that amount of time.
          • amr
            Obviously by her comment about the expiration date they are not going through 10 gallons a week. I can understand your situation, and I'm sure my family could use 10 gallons by the end of May like hers. However, I feel it is just common courtesy (if you don't actually use 10 gallons a week) to not wipe the shelves clean especially when you know it is a hot item during doubles week.
          • luiza
            Agree. I also have several children and a little boy who has been sick and poor appetite. One thing he will still eat willingly when sick is those little danoninos, which are going free with the right coupons. So I take 3 coupons, get 3-6 pack today. Tomorrow I might go with another 3 coupons and if they still have the item and get 3 more. My kids will eat them, nothing will go to waste, it blesses us to be able to provide them these snacks. I would not be able to afford 6 packs of danonino at regular $2.50 each. So, like many have already said: Buy what will be useful to your family, thank God for these freebies and for the good information on this site. Let's try have less of this judging and criticizing, these are tough times for everybody.
        • savingmom
          I must say that buying ten gallons or at least 5 gallons of the smart balance milk is not excessive I must agree with other readers, It just depends on your own family need and yes we all like things that are free or close to it that one the reasons we use coupons so dont frown on those who have more than you think they should because they don't live in a glass house, if you are concern about not getting the items you want ,then ask when the store's truck arrive and be there now as for me If could buy 10 half gallons for 1.20 I would only b/c my family drinks a gallon in less than a day ; yet i would not be keeping it for a month or two most likely 3 to 4 days*
          • Raynesmw
            Would NOT be excessive for my family, unless people know your family and your circumstances, then how do they really know?
      • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
        not exactly sure how you got 10 and used 10 coupons unless you went to multiple stores considering that this is the 2nd day of SD
    • Xraychik512
      I'm alittle frightened to go now….with everyone saying that they are not doubling internet and DND coupons. Man, that will really screw me up, I've never had any problems. I just might cry =)
      • laidbackracing
        I went last night to the James Island store and had no problem with the internet coupons
      • heather
        I have read this on a few other sites with some people having an issue with not doubling IP's. I just called the 800 number and she told me that there have NOT been any changes in coupon policy. She then said that a particular store, much less a cashier cannot tell you they are not doubling IP's. If I had a problem at checkout call the manager over and straighten it out right then and there. HTH!
        • sara
          I had a problem with a greensboro, nc store saying they would not double printed Q's I questioned it he called the manager and she brought a coupon policy over and layed it in front of me with the Words We do not double competitor or internet coupons at the bottom of the policy and it was highlighted. I told her the other Greensboro stores double for me yesterday and she let if slide this time and doubled them. Not sure what is going on with this?
          • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
            crazy cashiers who make up their owns. They will double a coupon as long as it does not say dnd or do not double and the only reason why some that say DND get doubled is people cashiers are paying no attention as they swipe the coupons.
      • Wdra0632
        I did not have any problems with doubling today and I used 20 coupons, most of which were internet printed. Don't be afraid ask before you begin, if not don't buy, hey it's your money and after all everyone is trying to get the best deals.
      • Kaitlynnmarie
        I've used 20 coupons each day for the last two days and half of them were internet and I've had no problems with doubling
      • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
        No problem with internet coupons in Cary, NC today.
    • Tcrawley2
      Great start to the week. I started with no catalinas to spend. Total so far for the past 2 days after earned catalinas: $2.80 PROFFIT for $167 worth!!!!!
      • Joy
        What items are giving catalinas?
        • Tcrawley2
          The jello temptation 3 packs….and kellogg's b3 cereals get a catalina for a free gallon of milk. Supposedly, McCormick is also supposed to be producing one for spices, but my coupons from ebay haven't come in yet for those, so I haven't tried it yet.
          • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
            What's the catalina with the Jello Temptations? I noticed there's also an evic coupon for those.
            • Tcrawley2
              I know if you buy 2 (which I was doing to combine with the Evic coupon) then you get a catalina for $1 oyno….makes them a $1.81 money maker! I've already spent the cat, so I can't check but I do know that if you buy more you get more oyno…
        • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
          temptations and mccormick spices and hamburger helper and kelloggs cereals
    • Katie M
      I just wanted to clarify for everyone that the rule is NOT that you can only use 3 like coupons per day. It is that they will only DOUBLE three like coupons per day. You can buy 10 of an item and use 10 coupons, but only 3 of those will double. It's right in the coupon policy:
      We double up to three identical items with manufacturer coupon; ADDITIONAL COUPONS FOR LIKE ITEM WILL BE HONORED AT FACE VALUE.
      I even just called and checked with customer service to clarify and she said that is exactly how the policy works. So someone who wants to get 6 boxes of cereal and gets 3 of them free while paying for the others at a discount is not doing anything to violate the policy. They are perfectly welcomed to use coupons on all 6 boxes per the policy–they are just only allowed for 3 of them to double.
      I know some people will still think it's greedy to get that many of an item, but I think of it like this–my family goes through 4 gallons of milk every week (or 8 half gallons). Every other week, no one thinks I'm greedy walking out of the store with all that milk. I'm just greedy this week because others want it too (even if I'm willing to pay $1.50 a half gallon for it and they just want it free!). I know there are people out there who abuse the coupon policy, but there really are people out there who DO go through a lot of an item and are getting what they need. I think we'd all do better to not make assumptions about how much people are “hoarding” and realize that we are all trying to get by. Making assumptions about what is and isn't excessive for others is unreasonable (unless they are admittedly violating the policy), because, a family of six or seven DOES need more food than my family of four. They aren't trying to make my life difficult–they are trying to feed their kids and spouses just as I am trying to feed mine.
      • Marycansave
        I believe people get around this by breaking their cart into seperate transactions. I personally stick with the three coupon limit. Any more than that and I feel guilty.
        • Katie M
          My HT doesn't actually allow doing multiple transactions any more
          • Marycansave
            This may be why it takes 2+ days instead of 1 for things to sell out. I noticed this last time too, maybe that's when they implemented it.
        • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
          says in their policy they do not do multiply transactions
    • gingertn
      So how is everyone getting around the ONE Coupon on B1G1? I tried to use the purex coupons on the B1G1 to make them .87 and I was told only I coupon on B1G1 items. It is in the coupon policy so I could not argue. Do you do separate transactions and only buy 1 each time? Please help.
      • Test
        I always buy one at a time, but if it's a $1/2, I buy two different types/scents/flavors.
        • gingertn
          Thanks so much. I bought 3 yesterday and had no problems, different day, different cashier….I guess I will be making a few trips.
          • mary
            you can also use self check out
        • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
          it says on their policy all flavors are included if it worked for you kudos but don't expect it to work again.
      • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
        get 1 item on a bogo in one transaction
      • Mhmazzoli
        I agree with Brittney. There have been several items that I am only getting one and using one coupon. I will be at HT every day this week so this does not bother me.
    • singlewoman26
      If anyone is looking for the $1/3 Birdseye or the $1.50 Philly Cooking Creme coupons I have them on ebay. I do combined shipping discount. And if purchased today (Thurs) it will be in the mail 1st thing Friday. I ship super fast. And thanks again for everyone who has ordered from me, I am a long time follower of southern savers and understand the importance of getting coupons in time for sales.
      I love this site so much- Thank you! I started couponing in November to help offset daycare expense and cannot believe how much I have been able to save! I only wish I had started years ago.
      I do have one silly question- I shop at HT in Greensboro and Burlington and can never find the Smart Balance milk, not sure that they even carry it. Can anyone let me know if you have found it there and if so, where do they keep it?
      • Charlotte
        My HT has it on the bottom shelf of the “Lactose Free” cooler. Propably the only place they have room.
      • Amy
        Some carry it and some don't. There are several different HTs around where I live, but only one of them actually carries it.
      • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
        check with the store manager they have a tabs on what they specially carry in that store. I'm showing oniline the the new market harris teeter in burlington does carry it.
      • Zinniasgive
        I shop at the new Friendly Ctr. HT in Greensboro and one of the managers actually spent the time to scan/discuss the 'good' coupons I was using in my binder and order large quantities of those items right on the spot as we spoke (one of them being the Smart Balance milk). Never had that happen, but was so impressed I don't think I'll go to any other HT!!
        • Liz
          I usually avoid the Big HT unless I happen to be at Friendly. Not any longer. Thank you for telling me about their customer service! Amazing!
    • wendyc
      Just wanted to let everyone know that my HT in Williamsburg, VA has pompeian olive oil on sale for 2.99 and not the Fillipo. There is currently a smartsource coupon out on Jenny's coupon for 1.00 making this 99 cents!! Have fun guys!
      • Skrose
        Thank you for the tip!
    • laban24
      This is a free market economy. You should be able to buy as much of something as you want. Certainly, we all should be considerate of others. But everyone complaining about someone else buying too much has no idea about that person's life or needs. Some people have large families (we go through 4-5 gallons of milk a week), some people buy to share with others, and yes, some people are just hoarders (though Lord knows where they keep all that food :) We all have our reasons about why we “need” an item more than someone else. Some people act as if the cashiers should listen to why you need the free items and decide if and how many you deserve. Maybe they should give out ration cards based on your needs. All I'm saying is that once we start judging whether someone else needs something or not, we're stepping out of bounds. I look at the free items as bonuses: if they are there when I get to the store- sweet!, if not – maybe I'll try to get there earlier next time since the early bird definitely gets the worm in the coupon world.
      • Lindsey Boggs
        Amen
      • LeAnna
        well said!!!
    • Proudlyamom
      Great week at HT this week. However, am I the only one who thinks they haven't had any good meat on sale? I went to Sam's Club to stock up on ground beef, ribs, and chicken wings. Am I doing something wrong?
      • LeAnna
        I buy my 93/7 ground beef at B.J's..(2.99-3.49 lb-never that low at HT-or rarely). I do buy some meats at HT. The 2.5 bag of ind. frozen chix was at 3.99. Great price…limit one! But other than that-this week was not a good week for meat. I agree.
    • Wdra0632
      Went to HT today and got $80.00 for only $8. Yeah! love “my Harris Teeter,” (singing).
      • luiza
        Did you accomplish that with only 20 coupons doubled? How did you do it? i'd love to take a look at your shopping list…
        • Marycansave
          I'm assuming she's doing smart matchups, coupons on top of items that are heavily discounted. It's what I do as well :)
      • luiza
        Sorry, the comment about the shopping list was intended for “proudlyamom”, I hit the wrong button when replying. Sorry.
      One of the Greensboro,NC stores is not doubling and they have a printed coupon policy that states we do not double competitor or internet printed coupons and they have it highlighted to show if you question it. the website policy does not have this so I am not sure where it came from but the manger said it was put in effect a few days ago?
      • http://www.facebook.com/wubbogirl Brittney Holmes
        Been like that for awhile you are lucky they even took it at all.
      • Donna
        It doesn't say anything about that on their coupon policy online. As far as I'm concerned, they can change their policies all they want internally, but unless it's publicly available online, they need to honor their coupon policy as it's written online. And right now that coupon policy allows doubling of internet coupons. I'd call customer service and ask them about it. I've read quite a few comments in this thread about people who've done that and they were all told by customer service that the policy has NOT changed. Could be the store doing something they're not supposed to and I'd definitely report it.
        • Herndonquad
          The new policy was just sent out yesterday corporate wide. That really will effect our good deals with internet coupons.
          • Donna
            There are several people throughout this thread who've posted that they have called corporate to ask about this since they were denied at their stores and every single one of them was told by corporate that it is NOT their policy to deny doubling on internet printed coupons. Just saying. Clearly there's some confusion somewhere, but I stand by what I said earlier. Until a policy is released publicly, they have to honor what is on their company website or I'd make sure they did.
            • Xxhthrxx
              If the Internet coupon says “do not double” or something to that effect, then it falls under the Doubling section of the HT coupon policy (Coupons that state “do not double” should not be doubled or tripled.).
      • Herndonquad
        The new policy just came out. Will not double any of the internet coupons stating “do not double” I think it went into effect yesterday and it is corporate wide.
    • Liz
      Just left Golden Gate in Greensboro and they said their policy was effective today for not doubling internet coupons. I am so bummed. Only $5-6 but this is why I coupon to begin with. Does anyone know if this now corporate wide?
      • Srenae_81
        That is the same store that told me that. The Lawndale store double yesterday no problem
        • Liz
          Thank you for telling me. Golden Gate is my main store because it is closest to my house but I will not go there for super doubles any longer.
          • Donna
            See the post from Christina further up on this page. She called corporate and they told her this is NOT the policy, so that store is doing somethingn wrong. I'd call and complain too so they can be sure to get straightened out.
    • Donna
      2nd trip of Super Doubles:
      Original total: $48.32
      Total out of pocket: $14.71
      Saved: 69.56%
      Most of the freebies were gone, but I still got great stuff. I'm going to try again on Saturday after they've restocked. I love HT super doubles week!! :)
    • singlewoman26
      I also have the Honey Bunches of Oats Raisin Medley and the $1 Danimals coupons on ebay. I posted my link up earlier but if you can't find it my User ID is singlewoman26. If you buy my noon tomorow it will be in the mail same day! Thanks again for the southern savers who already bought from me! (I am a long time reader myself!!!)
    • CouponShopper
      I dont think my Hefty bags rang up B1G1, does anyone know how much the small zip locks are a piece?
    • The Starr
      Be on the look out at the register, I did not see the catalina machine with a solid green dot so I told the cashier that my cats for my mccormicks and my free gallon of mild cat would not come out. So she called the manager over to fix the machine, there was a paper jam. I immediately told my friend and her register had the same issue but all three lights were blinking, red and green. So we asked the manager to void the transaction if the light was not a solid green. Both were fixed on the spot. The manager said that they were probalby not working since the last night shift does not know how to fix the machines. So food for thought, always make sure you see a solid green light and you will be get your cats.
      • Bondude
        took me a second to realize you were talking about catalinas and not felines!!!!
    • Karichie3
      FYI: my Harris Teeter had Oral B manual toothbrushes (not on sale) at regular price of $1.99. If you got the P&G coupon booklet, there should be coupons for $1.00 off Oral B toothbrush (no type is specified). So I got 2 for FREE. Always be on the lookout to see what else you can get during Super Doubles :)
      • Donna
        Thanks to your tip, I got 2 free toothbrushes this morning! Thank you! :)
    • KK
      Keep your eye out for 1.00 peelies on the Hefty trash bags, I was able to get 2 for 2.00. Also I found some clearance stuff for free or pennies on the dollar. LOVE HT!
    • bjb
      New to couponing. Might be a crazy question,,but what is catalinas. And where do you find store coupons, instead of manufactured coupons. I understand that you can use both on purchased items.
      • Reasontosing
        Store coupons are usually found in the weekly store flyer. Many times they are good for several weeks, so I try to grab a few. Also, some cashiers let you keep them to use again until they expire. I've had that happen at Lowes Foods many times. They do work with the manufacturer's coupons. I think catalinas are the coupons that you find along the aisles…the ones you pull out of the little boxes, aka “blinkies”, but I could be wrong. I've been couponing a while, and love it, but still have a lot to learn! Have fun!!
      • Momto8kiddos
        Catalinas are coupons that print at check-out. Sometimes they are manufacturer's coupons, sometimes store coupons, sometimes $X OYNO.
      • kncoupons
        Catalinas are the coupons that print out at the register.
    • http://profiles.google.com/jennix6 Jennifer Nix
      I'm not sure if someone already posted this, but I went to HT yesterday and on some of the evic Hefty bags there was a “$1 off now” coupon. Since it doubled that made them $1.97! The type I found the coupon on were the Hefty Blackout Trash Bags.
    • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
      Question- My HT doesn't show the NY Bagel Chips as on sale- so I was hesitant to buy them without seeing a sale sign. This particular HT I go to doesn't have an Express Lane, but I checked a 2 others in the area and they do come up as on sale on their EL. Do you guys think they just forgot to put a sign out? Or could it really vary that much by store?
    • kncoupons
      Last night I went to Harris Teeter in Rocky Mount, NC and was told that they do not accept competitor Catalina coupons. I have always used my Walgreens Register Rewards at Harris Teeter because they are a Manufacturer coupon and their coupon policy on their website states that they will 'gladly accept competitor s' manufacturer coupons.' I had a copy of this policy with me last night and showed it to the CSM and she showed me a different policy that stated that they do not take competitor Catalina coupons. I asked her why she had a different policy than what was on the Harris Teeter website and she said she thought they were the same. Does anyone else use their Walgreens Register Rewards at Harris Teeter??
      • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
        Yes! I have in the past. I believe they will scan….
      • Raynesmw
        At my HT, about 3 weeks ago, they had signs at the register with a photocopy of Walgreens RR and it says we do not accept these.
    • Xraychik512
      Does anyone know how much the strawberries are for the B1G2?
      • Rhynedeals
        $4.99
    • Christina
      On the phone with corporate HT now and they say the WILL ABSOLUTELY double internet coupons unless it says Do Not Double.
      Reporting Golden Gate in Greensboro NC! Call and report if you're having this problem!! The manager is denying it.
    • Kisha Watson
      Can anyone tell me what happened to Triples in the Charlotte, NC area?? I LOVE my SD but it would be nice to have a triples now and then. Thanks
    • guest
      on the HT website it says they will double coupons with a face value of .99…so are they doubling coupons that are 1.00 off?
      • Donna
        During normal weeks, they only double up to $0.99, so no during a normal week they would NOT double a $1 coupon. However, this is SUPER doubles week, so they double anything up to $1.98, so yes…a $1 coupon WILL double this week. Hope that helps! :)
    • ChristinaWhitehurst11
      Love HT.. But Im just getting in to the coupons savings. When is the best time to shop befor sale items get gone? And also were do I get a coupon binder? Im can't seem to get orgnized.
      • LeAnna
        I made my q binder. I took an old notebook-mine is like a trapper keeper-I would reccomend one like that-where you can velcro or zip it shut. I got a few packages of baseball card inserts, tabs to write catagories on, and some full page sheet protectors. I have set my binder up w/ stores in the front. I have a 2 bb card inserts and a sheet protector for each store. I put specific store q's there(i.e ecbs….or rr) And I also store my reward card for each store. In the sheet protector-I put the stores q-policy. After that section-I have catagories that match up to the way I shop in my HT. 'Produce-Bread-fresh meat and seafood-condiments-canned-boxed-etc…' I also have another notebook–just a normal one-that I have full sheet page protectors in-I put each sunday coupon insert in there-dated. This helps when jenny posts where you can get the q from…(i.e… 2/2 ss). I think my favorite part of my binder is where I have the stores set up in the beginning(sometimes I have to add more pages…like this week). B/c I can get organized BEFORE I go to store. I have all my q's on those pages. Then if I see something on clearance-I flip to the section to see if I have that q. Does that make sense??? And as for best time to shop–on super doubles and when they used to have trips-I would go in at 7 a.m to get my 20 freebies. After that-I just wing it!
    • Tasha010986
      Anyone out there here in Fayetteville? When does the HT restock? Im debating wether or not to go. I don't want to waste going when most of there items will be gone. Whens the best time to go?
      • Silver
        In my experience, this store hardly ever restocks. I go many times during the sale and the shelves are always empty. That is not to say they won't restock, but that is what I have noticed. Hopefully someone reading will know a definite day they restock.
      • Kathy
        Tasha, I shop Harris Teeter alot and they always have most everything on Sundays and Fridays (before 5). Really good selection on Sundays. Tuesdays everything is gone. You may even have some luck on Mondays after 8 am.
    • Jane
      Heads up to everyone! The vicks vapodrops (right above the cough drops) ar on sale for .39 and there is a coupon in P&G 2-27 for a free box of puffs tissues (up to $1.99 value) when you buy any 1 vicks product. The vapodrops work great for coughs and sore throats (allergy season) plus you get free tissues!
    • Dccouponfairy
      If you are near a safeway, the frozen foods coupon booklet has a $1/2 birdseye coupon making the frozen vegies $.17 each!
    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=530203897 Tanya Burns
      Wow did I just rack up at HT! When I was there earlier, I saw sensodyne isoactive toothpaste(the one in the little can) on clearance for $2.28, sensodyne pro-namel toothpaste for kids on clearance for $2.09, Stayfree maxis clearanced for $1.25, Oral B crossaction battery toothbrush on clearance for $2.38 along with a set of extra hea…ds for the same price. I went back with coupons in hand, bought 2 of each toothpastes, 2 maxis, one toothbrush, two refill heads, 3 McCormick spices, one Smart balance milk, 1 Danactive 4 pk, one gain dishsoap. I haven't totalled what it COULD have cost, but I paid $3.06 OOP and got a $2.50 off your next purchase. This was after stopping back by CVS where I saw method concentrated laundry detergent marked down for $2.25 bought 3, used 3 $2 coupons, paid $1.31 OOP. I know I say this every day, but THANK YOU Jenny!! I am not working right now and it makes a big difference to my family!
      • Wdra0632
        Great trip, love to hear how great others did as well. My hubby is the only one working right now while I attend college and homeschool our son so these cheap trips allow us to afford the things we do.
    • Anonymous
      Smuckers concord grape jelly is 2/3. With the new Smuckers’s coupon on coupons.com for 75 cents doubling to 1.50 makes for FREE jelly! The other flavs are 2/4, so that is really cheap, too. Lucky me the grape is DH’s fav!
      • Gloria9000
        Thanks for mentioning this. I ran to the store for it. I live Smuckers Simply Fruit was on sale for $1.67 (e-vic price) and surprisingly the coupon worked for that as well. Ended up paying just 17 cents! Thanks again.
      • Joy
        What zip. Can't find it. Thanks,
        • Donna
          I don't remember the zips that worked, but Jenny made a whole separate post called “New Printable Coupons: Stove Top, Smuckers, Starkist +” and a lot of people posted zip codes that worked for them. That might help! :)
    • Donna
      3rd day of Super Doubles was good/bad/good:
      I never save as much on groceries as some do, but I'm not going for just the freebies – some of the free stuff is stuff I don't use, so I'm sure to only buy what I'll really use, even if I could save more by buying the less expensive items. I'm happy if I stick to 70-75% savings at least. I kick butt at the drugstores – 92-100% off on every trip there! :) Was still a good trip.
      Total before sales/coupons: $90.91
      Total out of pocket: $28.69
      Saved: 68.45%…would have saved more but they forgot to scan one of my $1.50 coupons, which I didn't notice till just now! :(
      Anyway, some nice person left one Philly Cooking Creme on the shelf (they've been otu of stock) AND I know that someone deliberately left it there instead of buying it because they left one of the $1.50 coupons sitting on top of it for the next person to discover…which happend to be me! Thank you, you awesome couponer, wherever you are! :)
    • Wdra0632
      Man just got back from HT and the shelves were wiped out, cashier said it has never been this bad before. Still got a good deal any way.
      1 mccormick chili powder
      1 double pack of whooly guacamole
      2 boxes of honey bunches of oats
      2 kelloggs crunchy nut cereal
      1 box of frosted flakes cereal
      2 jello temptations
      1 roll of seventh generation paper towels
      1 zone bar
      2 cans of mueir tomato paste
      2 danimals yoguart coolisions
      2 orville reden. pop up bowls
      All for only $3.02 plus $1 cat. for next purchase and cat. for free gallon of milk. Love my harris teeter!
    • Smkaren9
      how do you get a cat for milk ?
      • Wdra0632
        You purchase 3 Kelloggs products and the cat. prints, but the machine jammed on me so had to go to customer service, and they were so nice to print me one. There are some great q on the Kellogg's out there I got my q for the Crunchy Nut off of a box my hubby had just devoured (this is his new fav.cereal). HTH
        • Donna
          Anyone know if there's a limit on this catalina? I bought 6 boxes of the Kellogs cereals yesterday and only got one printed out. Bummer!!
          • heather
            You need to split it up, and only buy 3 boxes at a time. The cat says “buy 3 or more” to get the cat…..so you could buy 9 and still only get ONE catalina. So, only buy 3 boxes at a time and you will get one cat each time. HTH!
            • Donna
              Thanks, that does help! I'll have to remember not to do that again! :)
    • Smkaren9
      thank you wdra
    • LeAnna
      Is 3.70 a good price for 4 cans of hunts tomatoes?
      • cheryl
        Not a fabulous price.
    • luv2shop
      A woman flagged me down in the parking lot today. She had been watching me shop and wanted to know how I did what I did. “So, you buy what's on sale with the coupon matches?? Do you save a lot of money this way??” I had no idea there were couponing stalkers!
      • Lori
        I like to refer to them as “groupies”.
        • Scarboroughs
          That is how I got hooked… happens to me all the time…they see the notebook and want to know how I got started… Southernsavers.com!
      • Wendyad1969
        Have had this happen to me before, just wrote down southern savers site address, hope she is putting it to good use. Most people do not believe untik they see the savings for themselves.
    • lowcountry couponer
      been on vacation and got to HT today for the first time in 2 weeks! There at 8am and plenty on the shelves.
      5 bags chicken (B2G3)
      6 steamfresh
      3 minute rice steamers
      3 philly cooking creme
      3 smart balance milk
      3 danactive yogurt
      3 danimals yogurt
      3 danonino yogurt
      bananas
      3 pts strawberries
      2 pts raspberries
      2# grapes
      2 gallons milk
      Total OOP= $36.44 saved $116.04
      best of all, ALL stuff I USE and didn't buy anything just because it was free!!
      heading back tomorrow for another round- used my best coupons today :)
    • lowcountry couponer
      heads up on great deal: e-vic coupon for $1.50 off Orville Redenbacher popcorn (which is on sale BOGO @ $1.57) AND can also use the tearpad coupon for $1.50 off coca cola WYB OR popcorn. Should double to $3.00 make for a 12 pack of soda and box of popcorn for under 50 cents!!
      thinking I may use a few of these, can only use the e-vic coupon once but the tearpad Q by itself makes for a great deal too!
      • Donna
        Not to put a damper on this great-sounding deal, but the e-vic is $1.50 off 2, not one, and the e-vics don't double – so it would be $1.65 for 2 boxes of popcorn plus if you get the tearpad coupon you could get the 12-pack of soda. I think you can stack a regular manuf. coupon with the e-vics, so maybe one of the other coupons would bring that total down further.
        Unless I'm missing something?
        • lowcountry couponer
          missed that! but went this morning and used 3- 1.50 off coupons (doubled to $9) plus $1.50 evic and got 3 12 packs of soda and 3 popcorn for $5.00. not bad!!
          • Donna
            Ok, just wanted to make sure I wasn't losing my mind! lol Yeah, that's still an awesome deal! :)
            • Bholmes75
              I found that $1.50 coupon on a tear pad in the fridgerated section in cvs. The coupon states $1.50 wyb 1 coke 12pak and 1 3ct orvilled redenbacher popcorn. its worth it to buy 2 or popcorn because there's an ecoupon for when you buy 2. the coupon does not start with a 9 does not say dnd.
            • The Starr
              I found a coupon for 1.00 off any coke or sunkist 2 liter which makes it free they are .99 each at HT. The first day the cashier took the coupon. The next day the manager said no we could not take a 7 eleven coupon. It was a manufactor with a 7 eleven logo just like the cvs coupons. Good luck!
        • Bryansmema3633
          Where did you find coupons that gives you free soda?
    • Jsanderson
      Question- for the B1G1 items, to get the prices you have listed you have to use two coupons, one for each item. But in the HT coupon policy they have on their website, it says they will only accept one coupon for B1G1 items. Does anyone else use two coupons? Or should I just use the one coupon like in the policy, but not get the free/really cheap items?
      • LeAnna
        I would just buy one at a time then…get it at 1/2 price-and use one coupon-you are following the rules then.
      • Bholmes75
        that's means the coupons states that its $1 when you buy 2items. its just one coupon for two items.
      • nc_sunshine
        I did the math a couple wks ago on a B1G1 deal (I had 2 MQs for the product), and realized after I left the store that instead of agreeing to just get 2 items (B1G1, with 1 Q applied to the one I “bought”), I should've bought THREE items, using my 2nd Q on the 3rd item. My slow math-mind wondered why I shouldn't just get the 4th for free, but the math worked out better when I bought 3 (*b/c that 3rd item is going to ring up at half-price anyway*). The tip is: you can't use 2 MQs on a B1G1, but you CAN use 2 MQs on 3 items.
        Let's say item costs $3. B1G1 drops it to $1.50 (or 2 for $3). You have MQ for $1 (and it's super-doubles wk!). Soooo — buy 2 for $1 ($.50 each), or 3 for $.50 ($.17 each), or 4 for $2 ($.50 each, same as buying 2). Buying 3 is the best deal, right? :o) (brought to you by my slow math-brain!)
    • Andrea
      question….if an e-vic special says limit 2 does that mean per day per household or does that mean limit 2 for the whole week/deal?
      • Jlaleonard
        2 for the whole week
        • Andrea
          thanks!
      • Rhynedeals
        I was told today that when it says “limit 2” for an evic special they have to be purchased in the same transaction.
      • Sandcastles32
        How were you able to get the hamburger meat and chicken breasts for nothing? I'm still learning and haven't quiet figured out how to get meat for a little of nothing to free. Thanks in advance.
        • Bholmes75
          she's getting overage from the ecoupons
        • lowcountry couponer
          you can get free chicken breast if you have the $1.50 off chicken wyb philly cream Q
          • Jlaleonard
            Where do you find the $1.50 off Chicken wyb Philly coupon?
            • mamabelbel
              They had them as peelies on chicken in the meat dept at my HT.
          • Alicia
            Did not have that Q. All I had was the $1.50 off Philly Cooking Cream but it does not state anything about chicken. Where is that Q?
            • Carolina Coupon Mom
              My Target stores have a ton of the $1.50 coupons affixed to their chicken.
        • Alicia
          Here is the deal on the hamburger meat. I had a raincheck for Uncle Ben's rice from last super doubles 2/$4 with the $1 Q made them FREE. Also wyb Uncle Ben's Rice there was a Q for $1 on any beef, so I had the butcher repackage the meat not to exceed $2 and I got those FREE. The Q for the chicken breasts was a hang tag Q for $1 off any chicken so I bought $2 worth because the Q doubled making that FREE too!!!
        I would love to know how you did it. I am guessing you have two cards…b/c of the limits w/ q's.(which does not bother me-I use my son's card-b/c I give a lot of my stuff the kids…..so I can justify it) I see you got rice an ground beef-I know there was a q for that-but did you also use seperate q's for the rice too? Please let us know…lol…..
        • Alicia
          I do have two cards because I shop for my mother/father in law too because of health problems. I had a raincheck for the Uncle Ben's rice from last super doubles 2/$4 with the $1 Q made them FREE. Also used a Q for $1 off ground beef wyb Uncle Ben's rice. Had the butcher repackage not to exceed $2 so I got those FREE too.
    • Question!
      Question: The link for Kraft products says it is to be used at Publix…can I still use at HT and get it doubled?
      • Joybelle
        Yes
      • Kerri
        I tried this sat morning and the Ht in florence SC would not let me… however different cashier in self checkout let me use them last thursday!! I even asked the manager on duty and he said they only accept competitor coupons off the total bill.
        • Guest
          I haven't printed that coupon, but if it's a manufacturer's coupon they should have taken it. HT just recently updated their coupon policy to say that they DO accept manufacturer's coupons with a competitor name on it. If it is actually a *Publix* coupon they no they won't take it, but if it's a manufacturer's coupon that just happens to have Publix mentioned on the coupon, then yes according to the new policy they should take it.
          • Carolina Coupon Mom
            I used those coupons Friday night without any problems at my Harris Teeter in Durham, NC.
            • Tgriggs777
              really? and they doubled them?
    • Question!
      How were you able to get the hamburger meat and chicken breasts for nothing? I'm still learning and haven't quiet figured out how to get meat for a little of nothing to free. Thanks in advance.
    • MW
      We would like for everyone to know how helpful & friendly the staff is at Harris Teeter- Friendly Ave. Store- Greensboro NC. The Store is super clean, very well stocked and the staff, especially Scott, were so helpful! We will shop at this location again!
      Thank you!
      • Liz
        I was there Sat which is normally an insane time to do Qs there. Always helpful. Had to run back to Golden Gate HT later and explained to the manager how they wouldn't double my internet coupons last Thursday. He said he had been told at a managers meeting are no longer going to double internet Qs. But then corp. printed off these large policies that are kept in customer service but it didn't include the not to double info. So Golden Gate didn't double internet Qs for about 48 hrs. Now they do. He then gave me a $10 gift card because of the loss of Q money.
    • Donna
      4th day of Super Doubles – some of the good freebies I missed out on earlier were restocked – YAY!!
      Total before sales/coupons: $69.25
      Total out of pocket: $17.56
      Saved: 74.37%
    • Jlaleonard
      I just printed a NEW $1.00 off Folgers 3 oz or larger, $1.00 off Pillsbury No frost, .75 off Smucker's at coupons dot com. I followed the link Jenny had in her “New printable coupons” link. The Folgers would make for cheap .97 coffee this week with Evic and the Smucker's would be almost free
      • Raynesmw
        I had a Folgers evic coupon to load, so it made it Free, be sure to check to see if you have this one.
    • Karichie3
      Don't forget to check the coupons today from the paper. Dove 6-beauty bars are $5.99 and with the $1.00 off coupon, makes them $3.99. You can't beat that! Also there was a coupon for $1.50 off Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste which makes that FREE (it was $2.99 at my store). I hope everyone got the P&G coupon book because I got a ton of free items with those coupons!
      Great Harris Teeter trip: Dove soap 6-pack, 2 Dawn detergents, 2 Gain detergent, 1 Zest 3 bar, 1 Wheat Thins chips, 1 Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste, 2 Oral B toothbrushes, 1 30-ct Pepto Bismol: All for $7.63. Saved $24.37 in coupons!!!
      • luv2shop
        For those with a Food Lion (mine was in Cary at Harrison and Maynard), the 6 packs of the Men's Dove were $3.99. With the $1 Q in today's paper they are $2.99. I had already bought mine at HT, but good luck to someone who still has the Q!
    • MB
      $5 off instantly when spend $15 on select mens products. Was in the email for weekly specials March Manliness I bought 3 degree deodorant 2/$5 and 2 dove mens body wash $3.99 each. Used 3 $1 off degree and 2 $1 off dove mens body wash got $5 off = .50 for all of it.
      • Sean D.
        Oh I love this deal I got 4 mens body wash for .74 cents each at Harris Teeter. Now Walgreens has a similar deal on the deoderant (see their website for all dove products listed) I printed a bunch of the $2 off dove coupons 2 weeks ago and have been waiting I just hope I can use the Walgreens Register Rewards at Harris Teeter.
        • Kcreviews
          Does every HT take RR's? That would be a GODSEND.
          • Jen B.
            According to their coupon policy, yes. :-)
    • lisa
      Has anyone used the Deer Park water coupons in todays paper? Does it work on the buy on get one free?
      • Gloria9000
        I used it this morning. Just remember you need to get one 24 case and one 6pack sports bottle size (700ml). The 6pk sports bottle size is on sale $2.50, so with the coupon it only costs 50 cents. Not a bad deal. I only used one coupon, so I'm not sure if using two creates any kind of problem.
      • css03
        Used the $1/2 1 liter bottles today with no problem, made them free.
    • Sean D.
      Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I just need a little clarification. Can I use Walgreens Register Rewards dollars at Harris Teeter?
      • Shapemagic
        Yes, you can use the RR's at HT. HTH
        • Bholmes75
          no you can not walgreens is not considered a competitor.
          • Sarah
            Actually, at some stores, you can. In particular the stores that have a Walgreen's nearby (like mine – it's literally in the parking lot) often allow you to redeem RRs there. There's also a CVS on the other side of the parking lot so they accept Extra Care Bucks as well.
          • Guest
            RRs are not a competitors' coupon, they are a manufacturer coupon that just happens to say 'walgreens' on them.
            Regardless, each individual HT can decide for themselves what other stores they consider to be competitors. Some will accept a wider range of stores' coupons given those stores are located closeby. Some will refuse anything but a grocery store's competitor coupon. It just depends on the individual HT.
      • mamabelbel
        One Harris Teeter in my town will take them and one will not cause they don't consider them a competitor . However, if I am nice about it and ask the manager they often take them. You might want to check at customer service if there isn't a Walgreens in the neighborhood to avoid issues at checkout. Just my experience.
        • Jen B.
          This is very interesting because while Walgreens is technically a drug store, they also carry groceries. And HT carries all of the OTC drugs, shampoo, toothpaste, and so forth that Walgreens does. I'm not sure how they are not considered to be a competitor. Hmmm.
          • mamabelbel
            The way the manager explained it to me was that it was not about what products they carried but how close they were. He said that Walgreens was considered a competitor to the stores close to a Walgreens but that this store didn't have to take the RR because there were other Harris Teeters much closer to the closest Walgreens. He did take my RR but told me that other managers might not at this store cause they did not consider Walgreens a competitor. Don't really know if it is correct or not, but made enough sense I didn't argue with him. Especially since he was letting me use my RR! I would not expect them to take Publix or Kroger coupons since we don't have those around here so how could they be a competitor. I guess it is the same idea.
      • Sean D.
        Ok thanks for all of the answers. I just went to Walgreens and got 4 mens dove deoderant for $10 -$8 in coupons and got a $5 rewards that I went and spent at HT with no problem. It scanned like a beauty…no manager, override or any problems. BTW oscar myers lunch meat has a pealy coupon for $1 and they are on sale for $3 ck it out!
        • SD.
          Update….I just got back from HT and this time they would not take my Walgreens RR. I have email corporate to find out what the heck is the problem.
    • Jacknonya
      Watch out for coupons that say “do not double or triple”. HT in Gastonia just told me 2 weeks ago that they would not double them and now my HT in Steele Creek (Charlotte) has signs at the register and will not double them. Bummer!
    • mamabelbel
      On the Seventh Generation website there are $1 coupons for paper towels and single rolls are 1.99. Free paper towels. Also there was a $1 Haagen Dazs coupon in April All You magazine and ice cream is on sale for $3. So I got a $1 treat to reward myself for all I have saved. yum.
    • Tcrawley2
      Wowzers!!!! I had a great trip today. I did 2 transactions today….one with my card and one with my mom's. I did not spend any catalinas. After the $6 in catalinas that I earned for 6 McCormicks and 2 Jell-os and a cash refund for 2 evic coupons that did not deduct, I made a proffit of $7.25!!! I bought…6 Grande chips (rain check for 2/4), 8 Smart Balance milks (I have 5 kids, so 4 gallons don't last very long- I left at least 20 on the shelf, don't worry. :) )2 Jello temptations, 2 Philly cooking creams, 3 30 oz boxes of Barber stuffed chicken breasts (I had a rain check for $4.49 each), 6 bags of shredded cheese (bogo raincheck combined with sale price), 6 kraft singles (2/4 rain check combined with bogo sale), 6 spices, 8 1.75 oz. Millstone prepacks, 2 hormel kids compleats, 1 classico sauce, 3 danimals, and 1 baileys creamer. I know overage is so rare at HT, so I was thrilled to discover that the $2 millstone coupon is being deducted at face value for the prepacks that are on sale for $1.20!!!
    • Kimbojenkinsjohnsonbrown
      How do I get a P and G booklet?? Thanks! I am new at this! :)
    • Mel
      Found this website bout a month ago, and so glad i did! Never really shopped at HT always thnought they were overpriced, till i found out how to do it. Can you use multiple coupons for the same item? I'm saving money but not as much as other people that I see on here. Doing good at CVS with theECB went yesterday and today and spent 15.00 for bout 60.00 worth of products and got 9.50 back!
      • css03
        I was the same way, now I tell my friends about it and that you just have to shop the sales and use coupons. It took me about 8 months until I got about $80 worth of groceries for $.70 + tax. One coupon per item, but you can use a MQ and an evic coupon on the same item. One stack this week was buying 2 Philly cooking cremes with 2 $1.50 coupons and then the e-vic coupon for b1g1. You ended up with 2 free cooking cremes and an additional $2.99 off you total bill.
    • Jen B.
      I need to call HT Corporate Office to ask the reason they no longer double manufacturer coupons that say “do not double”. I would just appreciate an intelligent answer. I'd also like to know why some HT's stick to the rule and some don't. I want to follow the rules and all but don't understand why all of a sudden this is a hard core rule at my local HT.
      • Marlene
        my cashier told me it's because the manufacturer won't pay them for the coupon, i told her that just didn't make sense – honestly how would they know? i was actually thinking of starting a petition on their facebook site but then i thought what if i win the march madness year's free of groceries sweepstakes prize than how embarrassing would that be? so i figured i'd wait until they announce the winner just in case it's not me LOL ! :-)
      • Tiffany
        I just left HT in Charlotte. The cashier told me I couldn't use the $1 off 3 steamfresh veggies since they are B1G1F this week and technically, I'm not buying 3 of them. I pointed out that they ring up at 1/2 price so technically I AM buying all 3 of them at a lower price. But the manager agreed with her so I asked them to take all of them off my bill. Of course, she never even tried to scan it. That was very frustrating! I think I may try a different store and see if the same thing happens.
        • Gloria9000
          It is that store. I have used that coupon twice during this super doubles week (each time I only purchased three). Didn't have a problem at all.
        • Heather
          Ours in Kernersville did the same thing, but allowed me to buy 6 of them and use (2) $1/3 coupons~ I just couldn't do less than the 6 and use the coupons.
        • Tgriggs777
          That should not have happened. I've used 3 of them during each of 3 trips I've made to HT over the past week. My issue is, however, that the items didn't ring up B1G1 on my receipt! I just noticed this tonight! ugh.
      • Not happy today!
        I am beyond annoyed with this as well. I had no problems then all of a sudden the last 2 days I get these cashiers who pull them all out. Today, I was pulled down to this cashier's line (when I was perfectly fine in the line I was in) and he pulled them out. I told him if he wouldn't just scan them (none of them would have bonked) then he could just give me back all of them and keep all of the stuff. So mad I spent my lunch time shopping to just angry. Only the yogurt and pizza said DND but were both coded 5, so I'll just buy them at Food Lion where they are cheaper to start with then!!! Either HT needs to actually double SUPER coupons or quit pretending they do! Once again, they are paying the double, not the manufacturer so why do they differentiate?? I say if it scans and doesn't bonk, then they should take it. Also, yesterday after they pulled some of my items out and I still bought the rest, I realized later that 3 of my 1.00 did not double and they should have, were completely legit, but the cashier screwed it up! They should push back to the manufacturers to code 9 if they don't want to double, otherwise leave it off the coupon because we shouldn't have to hope each day if they will let it go or not!
    • Angela
      I got an evic coupon for $1 off nutella, there is a printable for $1 off and it is on sale for 3.49 — 49 cents isn't bad. Also, taster's choice has a catalina for $2 off your next puchase if you buy any two products. I had gotten two catalinas for a free 7 stick box of instant coffee — they are normally 4 for $5, so they were free and I got a $2 off my next purchase catalina. Nice. I also got an evic for Tums and printed off the $1 coupon. There are some 24 packs for 2.25 which makes it a money maker — however, the evic coupon didn't come off so I had to go to customer service.
      • http://50dollarschallenge.blogspot.com NCcouponer
        We LOVE Nutella! Just checked my e-vic and isn't one of my coupons. Boo! May still be worth it with the $1 off doubled…. :)
        • luv2shop
          I did not have it as one of my coupons either. Debated, but still bought it as a new experience. It is calorie intensive, so I used just a smear on my toast (Arnolds bread bought w/coupons last week) this morning. So good and so worth the mere 1.50 I spent for this jar that does not need refridgeration and will last me for quite a while!
    • luv2shop
      Tonight's menu… Appetizer: foccacia bread with roasted garlic marina… (Made with the free rolls and 50 cent pasta sauce from HT) Main course: lamb chops ($8 in half price discount bin at Lowe's) on a bed of white beans, spinach, yellow carrots (free Green Giant veggies from HT) and fire roasted tomatoes (sale on Hunt's at Krogers)… Dessert: No room! (But we could have had $1 ice cream from Rite Aid and 50 cent dessert topping from HT). Gormet meal for $10. Who says you can't eat well using coupons???
    • gabriela
      Question: I had a total of 20 coupons today and in addition 1 e-vic coupon (which does not double). When I checked my receipt, it looks like only 19 coupons doubled + the e-vic coupon. Does that mean that cashier skipped one of my coupons? Or was the e-vic coupon counted as the 20th coupon even though it did not double. I am inclined to think the cashier skipped one – otherwise shouldn't it have shown and maybe just not doubled?!!!
      • lowcountry couponer
        sounds like she missed one. I have used 20 coupons for the past 3 days, and at least one e-vic coupon. I always count the beeps when she is scanning my coupons-if I don't hear 20 beeps I know she missed one!
      • Guest
        I find it helpful to hand over my coupons in small groups so I can keep track of them easier. Like hand over 3 or 4 at a time, listen/watch for them to scan, then hand over the next group. It's easier to spot mistakes/misses during the transaction that way.
        Yes, if they scanned all 20 they would all show up on the receipt, whether they double or not.
    • lowcountry couponer
      I am seriously addicted this week. I have been 4 days in a row, 80 coupons, going again tomorrow with another 20 coupons. Spent about $40 for $400 in groceries. LOVE MY HT!! They have had Smart balance milk every day so I have been able to get 12 (3 a day), 3 boxes of cereal a day has netted me 4 free gallons of milk also. Have used $1 off fresh fruit on each box as well for $24 of fresh fruit for free. My freezer is full of steamfresh veggies, minute rice steamers, yogurt (I freeze and thaw in kids lunches). My cabinets are full of pasta, popcorn and cereal. I have more cooking cream than I know what to do with (need some recipes please!) Love Southern Savers!!
      • Chele17rene
        I heard you can freeze the cooking cream and comes out fine when ready to use!! hope this helps!!
        • LeAnna
          good idea-I was wondering..but mine does not expire until June-so I figure I will keep it in spare fridge! I got many loaves of roman meal bread-for .50 cents apiece…and lots of other frozen stuff this week..so freezer space is limited..lol. LOVE IT!
      • Mhmazzoli
        How does the Orville popcorn work out with the e-vic coupon?
        • guest
          I used along with $1.50 off coke product WYB one popcorn, which resulted in $4.50 off- paid around 50 cents for a 12 pack of Coke zero and popcorn. Also e-vic kept resetting so did it again and again..
      • LeAnna
        I have used the cooking creme w/ shrimp-added some lemon to it..OMG so yummy.(I always stock up on the peel and eat shrimp on sale). Tonight I made chicken(from the 3.99 bag-used 1/2) Cut chicken into small pcs and put in fry pan w/ some butter and evo. After it browned, I put in 2 of the philly cooking cremes…added some garlic-minced onion-and parsley. Let that all simmer while I cooked some butonin tortelini(also bought for pennies) Served w/ steamfresh green beans….All in all-a cheapo meal! Maybe put $5 into 4-5 servings!
      • luv2shop
        I know what you mean. It didn't take long for me either. My last trip will be tomorrow. I found some last minute deals that will put me over the top. My husband opened the cabinets tonight and remarked that we may have to put in some more! I laughed because it is ALWAYS looks this way after super doubles. Then we eat it down and it looks normal again. I donate all of my excess as I go, so I never have a stockpile (we're just a fam of 2). I have some really grateful friends, though! The fun part is having some fun ingredients to cook with in the future. I get all of my recipes from the Internet and adjust to what I have on hand. So much fun!
      • Marycansave
        this was my favorite super doubles in a LONG time.
    • Stephanie Reddy
      How many coupons can you use for each product? I used 5 coupons for the tresseme and they only let me do 3 for the cooking cream…..y?
      • Joy
        Harris Teeter policy states 2 like Internet coupons and 3 like from the paper mfg coupons.
        • Stephanie Reddy
          Oh ok thanks! Where did you find that out?
    • mama6
      ok I'm new at this and a little overwhelmed. I am a mother of 6 and live on 1 income, so i want to do this, but it seems to be crazy!!!
      • justme
        What seems to be crazy?
      • http://queenofcoupons.wordpress.com Regina marie
        Just start small, and pick a store in your area and learn 1 store at a time. Don't attempt the drug stores until you have mastered your grocery store of choice.
        I have 4 kids & pregnant with little one and have been shopping like this for almost 18months. It really comes down to having a well stocked pantry. It took me nearly 6-9months to get a well set up pantry, b/c my kids could out eat my shopping! In the beginning I went to HT for my weekly coupon run, filled in the gaps from Sam's, Aldi & Walmart. But now I mainly shop @ HT and maybe once a month hit Sam's for milk & eggs, and Walmart & Aldi maybe every 2 months. But I rarely do any real grocery shopping @ Walmart usually it is just picking up household items like air filters & such.
    • Jdanaya22
      Does HT give out Rainchecks?
      • Gloria9000
        Yes! And they NEVER expire.
    • PDB
      Was surprised to find Simply Orange juice on sale yesterday. Wasn't in the sale flyer, wasn't marked on the shelf. But needed OJ and still had 2 $1 off IP. Didn't check till I got home, but the juice was on sale for $3. After double Q, got the 1 simply orange for $1. (Looked it up on express lane after I got home and the sale is noted there).
    • Mardy
      Love Super Double Coupons! Got 6 1/2 gallons of Smart Balance milk = free, 4 coffee creamers = free, 4 danimal yogurt 4 packs = free, 4 Danactive packs = free, 1 pound beautiful FL strawberries = $1.65, candy bar for my daughter for being so patient while I did all this = priceless.
      What I really love about HT is that I went over the weekend and they were out of stuff. But the nice guy straightening the shelf told me don't worry, they were getting another whole shipment in on Monday. Still plenty of time to get more (unlike other stores that sell out and your SOL unless they agree to give you a rain check.)
      • Mardy
        BTW, does anyone know how to freeze milk? I've heard you can do it. Do you just put the container directly in the freezer? If so, wouldn't it expand and explode?
        • Bcraig243
          You just put it the freezer. Just note that when you take it out make sure you leave enough time for it to thaw out. If you use it before it thraws you'll get a heavy butterfat content in the milk. Which I personally like, but you'll also get milk water the last half of the gallion.
        • Southern11belle
          I would suggest removing approximately 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups for a gallon of milk to allow for the expansion of the milk during freezing just to be safe. ;)
    • luiza
      My best HT trip yet, I think:
      4 packs muller pasta
      2 big gain dish detergent
      1 cooking creme
      1 danactive
      1 danimals
      1 aunt jemima pancake mix
      2 colgate advanced
      1 colgate toothbrush
      3 secret clinical deo
      1 degree deo
      3 steamfresh vegs.
      2 mckormick spices
      3 packs ritz crackerfulls
      2 emerald nut peanuts
      All for $9.34 tax included! what a blessing! Thank you southern savers!
    • Tgriggs777
      I have a question. Coupons that print at the register at Food Lion, but say “manufacturers coupon” at the top (and only says Food Lion off to the side)…is that considered a competitor's store coupon that HT won't double? Or is it considered a manufacturer coupon that HT WILL double? Thanks!
      • Joy
        They should take them cause they are “manufacturers coupons” but the won't double cause I believe they begin with a “9”.
      • Sarah
        It's a manufacturer coupon, so HT will accept it (according to their recent policy update), but it's also a Catalina, so it won't double.
    • Nita Royal
      My favorite thing about HT, that I've never seen posted here: THEY unload and reload the cart, which saves my back and enables me to watch the scans. Thee only other store in my town is Food Lion, and I don't even bother going there because I'm so busy unloading, bagging, and reloading. . . . I can't tell what prices rang up, or if they scanned my coupons! Wish we had 2 HT's in our town – but I'm grateful there's at least one!
      • LeAnna
        Nita-you ar totally correct-I was thinking about that today. It really is a help! I have often told cashiers to hold on…until I could watch the prce scan. Then they get pissy-and I really hate to do that. But I want to make sure that my items are ringing at what I think they are-and that my q's come off! Good point. I always laugh when they ask me if I need help getting to my car though. I ussually say 'not unless that person is willing to come home w/ me and unbag them too!'
      • Tinfoilstarss
        It is very nice for them to do that…I love HT :) You must live in Salisbury…There's a Food Lion on every street it seems like and only one HT
    • Gail
      how does one get a starbucks booklet?
      • Chele17rene
        where they sell starbuck coffee
    • Luv2save
      I went to HT yesterday and they were out of the dairy things I wanted so I went back today and they said the truck came in with no smart balance milk, danimals, Purex, rhodes rolls… After checking out and mentioning that they were out of alot of the deals I wanted, the cashier told me they are having Triple coupons next week. Yay, I hope she is right!
    • Deb
      Does anyone know if anyone is having the special where when you fill prescriptions they give you a $25.00 gift card?
    • Cheis
      what are catalina?
    • lisa
      Does anyone know if you can freeze yogurt?
      I just tried the Ghirardelli squares deal but it rang up as $3.99 instead of $2.49. I couldn't find it in the flyer as being on sale, so I didn't feel like I could ask about it. Is this sale no longer available?
      I need help! Do you know if the Birdseye Steamfresh veggies were all B1G1??? I bought asparagus tonight (and corn, potatoes, and more asparagus earlier in the sale week) and it did not ring up as B1G1 on my receipts!!! I looked at the flier and it specifically broccoli, but I could swear the sign on the shelf said B1G1 for the ones I chose. I know some of them were “2 for” signs, but I really tried to make sure I got the B1G1 ones. Help!!!
        When I went yesterday–some were on sale and some were BOGO.
      Just got back from Jennys' workshop in Moncks Corner,S.C. It was $10 and worth every penny! I thought what i knew was a lot about couponing, but learned much more especially about the drug stores.My daughter went to the class last night in Summerville and was so exited about all that she learned.We got a detailed workbook that has everything you need to know about saving money.Please go see her if you get the chance. So glad to have the opportunity to meet Jenny and thank her for helping all of us in this tough economy.God bless you and and your family Jenny! She was even kind enough to sign my book! Great young lady!
      that's right,BUT…..it is one card per customer PER household,that is if you try to use another person's card,that person must be present there to use it….not to mention,for those who use coupons that are still for let's just say a generalized product yoplait….just because it says the products name DOES not mean that it is for ANY yoplait product….make sure you read the fine print and make sure it is saying for any yoplait product and not a picture of a yoplait product and it's specifically for that one specific item……let's say the coupon says for any yoplait gogurt….and you figure well,it says yoplait…..if you're going to do right thing make sure you get it for THE YOPLAIT GOGURT item…..just want to get it straight before any of you run into any embarrassing environments before you do business with Harris Teeter.
      Hello, I am new to all this. Will someone please tell me if Harris Teeter douples or triples coupons everyday or is it just once a week or once a month?
      Thanks
        The normally double anything below $1. Super doubles are when they double anything below $2 but that only happens about every six weeks. If you click on the Harris Teeter link near the top on of the site you will see a link for Harris Teeters coupon policy.
