On the Home Depot Facebook page, and play the Zombie Mulch game where  you can earn coupons for $5 off $5.01, $10 off $10.01, or $15 off $15.01 purchase from Home Depot Lawn and Garden Department.

These coupons are valid through 12/31/12. Earn points by playing the game and the more you earn the bigger the coupons will be.

Guessing from the subject matter that this this targeted toward guys… but I can always use a good coupon!

One tip: If you sign in with your Garden Club email you’ll earn twice the points, so that should make it easier to earn your coupon (make sure your zip code is in long format xxxxx-xxxx).

I played the game, but did not see a coupon. Is it emailed to you?

      • AP

I finally got one after playing for a LONG time. :-P

      • AP

Btw Jenny, my hubby says thank you for passing this along! :)

    • guest

I cant even get it to load…

      • Emily

Switch browsers. I am on a Mac and was using Safari…kept having problems until I switched to Google Chrome.

    • judy

it took a few minutes to load. i played several games, but never got a high enough score to win a coupon. to me, it is a waste of time and i have now given them access to my FB page…bummer!

      • KEB2009

time to make a dupe account for just this sorta thing :)

      • laidback racing

hey…when ever I do something like this afterwards I do the following to take the access away:
on the drop down arrow next to ‘home” click on privacy settings. Then next to Ads, Apps and Websites Manage your settings for ads, apps, games and websites. CLICK EDIT Settings
you will see apps you are using – click edit settings next to the ones you want to get rid of. you will see an “x” click that and a pop up box will ask if you want to REMOVE.

        then you are done

seems that you get “6ft” for ever zombie you hit head on. you have to get 1000ft before you reach the $5 coupon. something tells me will have to invest at least an hour or more to get the $15 coupon!

    • Tate

      I got my coupon!!

    • Erica

Got my 6 year old playing, so excited to be earring me money

    • ctrinkle

I think it would take forever to actually get a coupon. Not quite worth it.

      • Emily

Between my husband and myself it took around an hour to get all three coupons. $30 for an hour is totally worth it to me!

    • Bridget Garner

You accumulate points with every try, you don’t have to get all the points in one go. It took me about 45 minutes to get to the $15 coupon…but of course I sort of “cheated” and let my son play since he is really good at these sorts of things…he plays MarioKart on a fairly regular basis and enjoys it. I guess if you want to get to it faster pick the kid in the house that is video game savvy and let them have fun with it, then enjoy the reward at the end…win-win…they had fun and you get the coupon you want.

P.S. the coupon gets e-mailed to you…not to mention once you get to the $15 mark you get all three coupons!

    • Megan

I played for less than an hour and got to the $15 mark. You get a new coupon at each level so the total is $30. So basically I just earned $30/hr which is pure profit for this stay-at-home mom who loves to DIY with her husband and goes to Home Depot weekly…..if you don’t DIY, there are plenty of other options at Depot–books, magazines, paper towels, cleaning supplies, filters for your water doohickey on your fridge door, light bulbs, pumpkins, garbage bags, etc.

    • melissa

yahoo! $30 in free home depot products…and the coupons don’t expire until 12/31/12

    • Clint

This is, by far, the most boring game I’ve ever played. Even though I am happy getting a $10 coupon, I think looking back, I’d have paid $10 to not have to play it.

      • gingerinCA

        LOL! :)

    • Claudia Cruz

well it does take a pretty good while to get the mulch needed especially if u are not good at it!

    • Cindy

This took me less than an hour to get the $5, $10,and $15 coupons for a total of $30. Hubby did this also, so $60 for less than an hour time I think is worth it!! These coupons do say for purchase in the the lawn and garden dept.

    • olisa

I just mulched enough to get my $15 dollar coupon…..I really hope this as it seems and it is not a scam. Not saying that Jenny would have a scam on this website, but isn’t it strange that the truck doesn’t say Home Depot or anything as for an advertisement……My husband asked me where I thought all the zombies were coming from and I told him prob Lowes…..HAHAHAHAHAHA…..LOLOLOLOLOLOL

      • mom

you are right i was thinking the same thing it seems to good to be true specially when the only coupon i got from Home depot garden club is 5off 50 home depot never send me high value coupons

      • Emily

It’s not a scam. I just used two of my coupons today. Paid less than $1 for two big potted mums, two packs of fertilizer sticks, and a large package of Terro.

    • savin4morefamily

did anyone get the coupons by email yet? I should have the $10, but haven’t gotten an email. Wasn’t sure if it took 24 hrs or what.

      • gingerinCA

Having the same issue. Did it at least 12 hours ago, and no sign of an email. There was no link, either. Anyone who already recieved yours, would appreciate info on how long yours took! :)

        • savin4morefamily

I tried to delete my comment but couldn’t see it yesterday. Mine went to my other email address; I logged in with my Garden Center email but it went to my Facebook email.

    • Liz

I tried yesterday and today, and I can’t get it to load. Any suggestions?

    • rlmapes

In order to get the coupon, go to the “stats” link on the game and click on it. It will send you to the confirmation page. I did this and the coupon was emailed immediately.

    • Natalie

Has anyone received the coupons and tried to use them yet. Is this legit? Thanks.

      • Lauren

The cashier I went to would not take them and said they weren’t legit and looked fake. She would only let us use it if we bought dirt. I was WTF so I asked another cashier to get the manager, and the manager had no problem with it and was very nice, we got to use our coupon.

    • Paula

How do you sign in with your garden club email to get double points??

    • Claudia Cruz

this takes less than an hour and got $30 and hubby also got his $30

    • Lauren

This is awesome, we used the 15$ coupon to buy all of our christmas lights for this year! (We purchased three sets of 2.50$ multicolor 50 bulbs, one 4$ set of white bulbs 100 count, and a few extension cords!!!)
We are going to use my facebook next to get more coupons.
