kids workshopHave your kid’s attended the FREE kids workshops at Home Depot?  Make sure to mark your calendar for the next workshop that will offer a chance for your child to build a Wizard of Oz birdhouse.

These workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety along with instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The children get to keep their craft and get a cool workshop apron, commemorative pin, and a certificate of achievement! The workshop starts at 9 am and goes until 12pm.

The next workshop isn’t until 9/6, but go ahead and sign up before space runs out!

We recently stared taking my 2 year old to the equivalent workshops at Lowes. Which are only scheduled for 1 hour….Do the home depot ones really take 3 hrs? I am guessing not…do you need to be there right at 9? If we wait and go 30 to 60 minutes late do we risk them being out of kits or will they hold since we signed up? Just curious since my daughter is a late sleeper. Thanks

We go to Home Depot every month. We don’t have to register, and we can show up anytime within the 3 hour window. The craft takes 20-30 minutes, unless you want to paint it.

Is this totally free? Or do we need to pay for the supplies? If it is totally free that is just really awesome!
