 home depot

Looking for something fun for your kids to do on a Saturday morning? Home Depot offers FREE kids workshops on the first Saturday of every month where your child can learn how to build a fun project.

The next workshop will be held on April 5th at 9:00 AM and participants will build a birdbath/birdfeeder based on the movie Rio 2. The workshop in May will be held on May 3rd and participants will build a flower planter.

The fun thing about these workshops (besides them being FREE) is that your child will get to keep his or her project and will also receive a certificate of achievement, a workshop apron, and a commemorative pin.

Home Depot prefers that you register online for each event. Workshops are designed for children ages 5-12.

Heads up: Lowes also offers free workshops.  They will have their next Build & Grow event on April 12th.  Register your kiddos now.

You don’t have to register online if you do not want to. They always welcome anyone who walks in and wants to join and participate in the workshops. They also do a DIH ( Do It Herself) workshop normally 3rd Thursday of each month and the ladies can come in and use power tools and build the project of the month. They have snacks and drinks and they also give away the projects at the end of the class normally threw a raffle pending how many show up to the workshop. On March 29, the Summerville, SC Homedepot is doing a Jamboree in the store/parking lot. They will have tons of vendors that can help/teach about their products and services and their will also be free food and drinks. I think it starts around 10am. You can call the store for the exact times.
