The warm weather and longer days have me dreaming of backyard movie nights.  Did you know that creating a backyard movie area is not as hard as the Pinterest pictures make it look?

If you need some help coming up with a movie, check out our list of FREE family friendly movies including The Secret Life of Pets and The Wizard of Oz!

The Essentials:

Movie Projector:  $79.99

Flat Sheet: $9.99

Some folks staple or clamp the sheet onto their privacy fence for a quick screen.  That’s definitely the easiest route, but then you have a permanent movie screen in your backyard.  Has anyone tried waterproofing their sheet for outside?  Using this Scotchguard could help your sheet last longer.

You could also build a screen out of 1×4’s that you could move around to keep it out of the way.  If you want to spend some money, skip buying the flat sheets and spend $100 to get this portable movie screen.
