Textbooks can be so expensive, but Kaplan is trying to provide you with some helpful texts for free. They are offering 130 free ebooks January 4th-10th.

The books cover things like college, test prep, education, legal, medicine, nursing and graduate school. Some are for parents too, so there is a good selection.

You can download the books from your iPad, Nook, or Sony eReader.

If you figure out how to get this on your PC or another reader let us know!

    • Thanks for posting this…I'm currently studying for the GRE!!! The iBook app that you have to download is compatible with the iPod so you can actually download all the 130 free EBooks using your iPod!!! I simply used my iPod to download the iBook app and then used the app to search for “Kaplan” and then all the 130 free Kaplan eBooks showed up. Happy downloading :)

Use Calibre – it converts .epub to .mobi without issue. I’ve been very happy with it.

They do allow the downloads for Kindle and Kindle for PC. I downloaded about 20 books just a few minutes ago.

I couldn't get the site to work. Anyone else having this problem?

Or do you know what I need to do to get these on my nook?

      • maconchip

Made it work by going to B&N and searching for Kaplan and downloading from there.

This is great. I have a NOOK. Just go to “shop” on your NOOK, type Kaplan in the search box and you have a lot of free books to download on your NOOK. Be carefull, there are also NO free books!
      But it's wonderfull.

You can add a nook app on your PC or phone to read all nook books. You just need to register for a free Barnes and Noble account.

    • Couponsrock

I don't have a nook, e-reader, etc, but I downloaded the “reader library” after clicking on the sony e-reader icon, and I was able to download the books for free. B&N is an easy download as well, but it requires a credit card number even though you won't be charged (from my understanding).
