Are the prices b4 or after the buy 10?

    • HS56

I have a question about Krogers ecoupons.  I got some of the Deal of the day coupons like $2 off total purchase when you buy Bounty 8 roll. And  there is also a cart buster ecoupon for $1 off Bounty 6 roll.  Will both coupons work since the Deal of the Day is off the total purchase?  I cant find the answer on their policy.  Thanks for the help!

      • Anonymous

I used that coupon when it was still on sale, and it took both the $2 off purchase and the $1 off 6+ rolls. Since they were both e-coupons, I’m guessing it’s supposed to do that because if it wasn’t, only one would come off. So yes, they both work and all together you should get $3 off. I think the $1 may expire at the end of the month, though.

        • HS56

          Thanks so much!

    • Kimberly

Can somebody tell me what the deal limit is on each transaction for the mega 10?

      • Littlemcknz

I don’t think there is one. last time the had one I asked the manager and he stated that I could do as many as I wanted. This time though I am going to use jennys tip of putting the ten items in reusable shopping bags. If you havn’t watched that video you should it may help you.

    • Andi

I went to the Kroger on Braselton Highway (Hog Mountain store). I had no more than 5 to 15 coupons for most of the items in my cart. Went to check out and they told me no more than 5 coupons per item. I asked if I could break it up into 3 transactions and the manager on duty, Victoria Dillon, stated that she couldn’t stop me. She then came back and said that we could not. I asked her if each of my children (2) ages 9 and 11 could have a transaction and I would take cash out so they could pay separately. She became very rude!! She told me I had no business in self checkout, told me that she had heard the comment “I will call corporate” before, she went and collected the coupon policy and stuck it in my face, and then refused to let me use ANY coupons for my transaction!!!! She told me I was clearing her shelves and other customers needed those items also. I DID NOT CLEAR ANY SHELVES AT ALL! There were numerous items left on each product I tried to purchase.I have several other items which were not on sale and I had no coupons for in my cart also. I left all the items I had to purchase sitting in front of the register and left after spending 3 1/2 hours in the store. I called corporate and they were closed until Monday. I called the store Manager Mr. Reynolds, who was very apologetic and nice and explained the situation to him. He stated she acted completely unprofessional. He also clarified his store coupon policy for me. Only 5 coupons per like item are to be used in one day per household.

      • Tamjwr

My Kroger only allows 3 like coupons of each item.

        • Sunny

Several Krogers in Atlanta only allow 2 like coupons of each item.

          • Anonymous

            Holy Cow!!

          • Happyface3_98

i guess we all need to get up a bus trip and try to get TLC to get us to use as many coupons as we want. you might be able to use 30 like coupons

      • Shellyburg2

you poor woman, kroger used to be very friendly, they act like you are stealing by using coupons provided by manufact. they do want you to use them!

      • Deanna

Hi Andi! The same thing happened to me at the same Krogers!  I am done with them! I also dealt with Victoria Dillion. Very unprofessional. She is going to lose that store a lot of business. This five like coupons per household per day is ridiculous. TLC filmed their last show at a Kroger in Georgia. That is false advertising! Ms. Dillion also accused me of clearing the shelves and I also had about only 10 like items. I was told that I could not separate my items into two orders and that it was up to her discretion. The funny thing is she showed me the Kroger coupon policy and it did not say that only five like coupons per day per household could be used, it said only five like coupons per transaction, yet she wouldn’t let me divide my order up.What if I had been shopping for a neighbor and had wanted to divide my order up, was she not going to allow me to do that? I will never shop at this store again! I as well had a screaming crying 4 year old with me at the time.

        • Ant0288

I’m not going to defend the unprofessional behavior, but the store is able to implement a “like coupon” limit. it may make a few of us upset, but overall they are responding to their customer’s complaining of items being out of stock and defending against true shelf clearers. Most coupons (i know all P&G) have a like coupon limit policy on the coupon itself. like it or not that’s where all stores are headed to ensure everyone has access to the sales. If you truely want more than 5 coupons worth then walk out the store and return. i doubt they say anything about a second trip. as for the extreme couponing show, thats one of the causes of our problems, and if you watch the show you will see them bending all types of corporate/store policies just for the show (why i don’t know… my guess is TLC is making it worth their while).

          • Deanna

Ms.Dillion told me I could not walk out of the store and come back in. Her coupon policy not Kroger’s is five like coupons per day per family period. I have already called corporate and they were very apologetic and I am waiting for a call from the manager.

            • Koalamoby

That is crazy! Please bring up to corporate that So MANY of Krogers sales require purchasing 10 items to get the cheaper price. So they should set the limit at 10, not 5!

            • Akingil123

You are not required to buy 10 of the same item, but rather 10 participating items.

        • justsaying

I agree completely. The stores are having to get stricter because of people going in and taking everything off the shelves and leaving nothing for anyone else. Who needs 50 bottles of mustard? Yes, I am talking about the extremes but if everyone would just stick to getting a couple of the items then the stores wouldn’t have to be so rigid and everyone would benefit from the sales.

          • justsaying

I meant to say I agree with Ant0288 – people are getting out of control with this couponing and stores are having to get stricter. I’ve been couponing for years but I have never taken it the extreme the way people are now a days doing it. How are stores making money if someone comes in with so many coupons that the store owes them money??? I think the stores are being very flexible and generous when they let you use a electronic, manufacturer, and double coupon on one item. So cut them some slack when all there doing is trying to keep it fair for everyone.

            • Happyface3_98

i blame the stores for letting the tv show portray all of us that coupon as hoarders and as greedy people. I get no more than what i need and what I do get that is over, we donate. I have gotten a few of my couponing friends to boycott one of our kroger stores in Martinsville, VA. they have no customer service at all. the managers are awful and the cashiers follow their lead. it sounds as if that victoria needs to get the boot but good

      • Peggy

Mr Reynolds is not very coupon friendly to me!!  That store has gotten to be a drag to shop at.

    • CrystalCouponer

I’ve only been couponing a few months. Can someone tell me what is a good buy price for a whole turkey? 79 cents a pound seems good to me but will it get lower before Thanksgiving?

      • Guest

I think that is a pretty good price, but what you might want to wait for are the coupons that should start appearing for $ off a turkey wyb something else.  These are usually worth $3-10 off, so it is worth it to hold out a little bit.

That being said, my new mantra in couponing is to not let perfect be the enemy of good, so if you like that price and you want to check that purchase off of your list of things to do this season, then just buy it and move on.  Don’t beat yourself up if the price drops a bit more in the next few weeks.  We all have so much to do at this time of year, let’s all remember to give ourselves credit for any amount that we are able to save.

        • CrystalCouponer

          Good advice! Thanks so much!

    • Ctcjsbag5

This is a terrible mega event add once again!  No need to shop there this weekend.

    • GAmommyof 3

The “Free T-shirt Rebate” for the Eggo waffles states that you must send in the cash register receipt from PUBLIX!  This will not work for this deal! Toobad…  : (

    • Mrsaustinteaches

I’m done shopping at Kroger. The Kroger near me in Dacula, GA only allows five like coupons per item per household per day. This is the Kroger on Braselton Highway. I don’t understand this because the last episode of extreme couponing was filmed in Georgia at a Krogers!

      • pcarmi

I am right down the road from you in Lawrenceville and mine (Hwy 20) only allows 2 like internet coupons per household per day…ugh.

        • Mstw

The Kroger in Macedonia/Canton Ga told me they would only double the 1st 2 of any like coupons. I’ve all but stopped shopping Kroger. Publix is cleaner, friendlier, better stocked and I save way more money even if it is a further drive.

      • Bonjour4paris

This happened to me in Alpharetta. It is wrong. I have a big family and like to stock up when things are on sale. I never get dozens of any one item. But would be able to use more than 5 coupons if I so choose. Many of there sale items only come on sale once in awhile, so I like to stock up. They are going overboard, and are going to lose business and please write to them and let them know. I am !

      • Gillyp3864

        A reality check here folks…
keep in mind before these nincompoop extreme-o’s hit these stores, the production crews from TLC have made “arrangements” to allow for good tv…they openly violate their own store policy to participate in the programming.
        Surely you knew this…

Clicked on the link to download JAVA and the link went to the apple website- it didn’t download JAVA-  Is anyone having this issue??

      • Jackie

The only place to download Java for a Mac is the Apple website, might just want to try again… What type do you have?  I just recently got an iMac and haven’t had issues with it but before that I had a Mac Mini and was having the same issue with updating Java.

    • Carterstowing22

I live in Mississippi and shop at the Kroger in McComb.  Our sales run from Wed – Tuesday.  At least that is what the sales papers say.  Am I missing something?  Do the sales actually start on Sundays?

      • Moe

I live in MS too and mine starts on Wed-Tues. also but Jenny’s ad comes out different so that just means we get an early look @ our ad which will be coming out the following Wed. which is GREAT! It gives you time to prepare and get your coupons together!  Thanks for all that you do Jenny! :)

      • Asjsmall

Sales in different areas start on different days. You should be able to consider this a heads up for your sale on wednesday.

      • Savin$$Mom

I live in West TN – we are in the Delta region and our sales run Wed-Tues.  A lot of our sales include the same items as the other regions- but a lot of times I can find other stuff included as well so be on the lookout!!!

      • Nicoleluna211

No, I also live in MS. We will have the same items but our sale doesn’t start until wed.

      • Liz

nope I live in MS too….whatever Jenny posts on Saturday’s will start here on the following Wednesday.  The sale prices she posts though are typically the same….we just have ours on different days.

      • Littlemcknz

My sale runs like that also, it has advantages and disadvantges, like some of the stuff onsale in this ad the couons exp on the 30th well our sale doesn’t even start until the 2nd. But with that said it gives me more time to prepare my list and coupons and there are many times I will go back on monday or tuesday because coupons have come out on that sunday for the sale that Jenny has posted for the previous week.

      • Vealley

I’m in MS too, but check, b/c sometimes items will go on sale on Tues.  Usually you can shop both ad’s on Tues at Kroger in the Jackson metro area.

    • Ihendrix

I shop at Krogers in Columbia, TN they are really great a never question you about your coupons…I have shopped there for several years…I don’t extreme coupon but the other day I had 8 coupons for the free crest toothpaste and I ask if there was a limit… the lady said no with a smile and said we try to order plenty of the sale items….I said thank you checked out with 8 crest toothpaste, & 8 Oral B tooth brushes…no problem…

    • Dealznstealz

Kroger was in 14 episodes of TLC Extreme Couponing and now doesn’t want the coupon community to save like on TV. Kroger
received $24 billion in vendor allowances since 2006. Many are
misinformed that double coupons cost Kroger money. Kroger has several
price structures; No card price, store card price, and any additional
discounted price. This information is on file and public information.
Kroger makes up for all discounts in the retail pricing structure.
Kroger is number 2 food retailer by sales with fiscal 2010 sales of $82.2 billion.
Vendor Allowance: Food retailers receive payments from CPG Brands by
promoting a brands product. These may include Slotting/Shelf fee,
Short-term promotions based on volume, Long-term promotions, and
Exclusive agreements. Kroger BRINGBACKDOUBLES.COM and quit LIMITING COUPONS!!

      • Happyface3_98

exactly. they bent the rules for the show but won’t let the real customers do as we’ve always done. I’ve never been a shelf cleaner … that’s just hoarding in my book. i’ve never gotten $5000.00 worth of groceries for 2.00. Kroger made an idiot out of themselves on national tv and now they are trying to penalize the rest of us

        • Koalamoby

I do like to buy 10 items during mega sales to get discount. Kroger should allow 10 like coupons per order since so many of their sales are structured that way. I was told the other day ONLY 5 like coupons in one order.. How am I going to save at Kroger any more? It is nuts! I have never done an order anything close to what they show on extreme couponing. They are punishing the regular customers who like to stock up during sales cycles!

      • Kristie

I love your excitement and knowledge that you have for this matter!  I wished that all couponers would search for facts like these.  Thank you for your research and explanations!

      • kathi

Kroger DOES lose money when they double cpns. Who do you say pays the extra, it isn’t the manuf!!  Now I’m not saying it doesn’t help business, or that I don’t want it, but I think stores that double deserve credit for that.   They are in business to make money.  I personally like some limits, empty shelves were driving me away.  If I have to go back to get 2 or 3, someone can go back to get over 5, in my opinion .

        • Jhoran

You need to think outside the box…seems to me you’re only seeing half the picture here. I’m not trying to be a pain in the neck by no means, but Dealznstealz hit the nail on the head with her posting.

    • TiffanyT

There’s a typo on the Butterfinger and Baby Ruth deal…

1). It says “Bath Ruth” not “Baby Ruth”
2). The price says $2.50 and then it’s listed as $2.50 after coupons…

      ???

      • Tarah

I get the question about the price, but seriously, you’re going to point out a typo when Jenny takes the time to do this as a service to readers and you access it for free?  That’s just plain rude.

    • 666

I LIVE IN VIRGINIA WE HAVE TO DRIVE THIRTY FIVE MINUTES TO THE CLOSEST KROGER, SO WHEN WE GO WE TRY AND SHOP FOR OTHERS WHO CAN’T MAKE THE RTRIP. ON MY LAST SHOPPING TRIP THE CLERT WENT AND GOT THE MANAGER AND THEY TOLD ME I COULD ONLY USE ONE INTERNET COUPON, I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT WE WERE SHOPPING FOR OTHERS WHO HAD PRINTED THERE OWN COUPONS LEGALLY , WE DID NOT CLEAR ANY SHELVES HAD NO MORE THAN EIGHT LIKE ITEMS. THEY SMILED AS THEY SPOKE I CALL IT BEING NICE NASTY IN THE END WE HAd to LEAVE THE ENTIRE ORDER AT THE STORE BECAUSE THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH EVERY THING, WE THEN DROVE ANOTHER THIRTY MINUTES TO ROCKY MOUNT VIRGINIA WHERE WE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE SAME ITEMS AND COUPONS. I GUESS EACH STORE MAKE UP THE RILES DAILY.

      • Dayna Emert

I had pretty much the same issue here in Knoxville, TN.  I was so upset last night that I too ended up leaving my buggy there.  I called the corporate office and they said I was in the right about my coupon concern and that the store must been confused by the new coupon policy.  He was supposed to email me a copy of their new policy but I never received it.

        • Beth in TN

About a month ago I encountered a similar problem at my Kroger in Springfield, TN.  They would only accept 3 print at home (PAH) coupons.  I wrote to corporate complaining and did receive a copy of the new coupon policy.  The very first line stated: “The store manager has the right to accept, decline or limit the quantity of coupons or items used or purchased in a single transaction, by a single customer, or in a single day.”   I guess this allows each manager to set his/her own coupon policy.  It sure makes it difficult to plan ahead if the policy can be changed at the manager’s discretion.

        • Michelle

Which location? I shop at Kroger here in Knoxville as well. Counting down til Publix opens next July.

          • Dsquared9895

I feel ya!! Even though I live in Oak Ridge, it is going to be well worth the drive!

          • Hannahsdaddy865

The Kroger on Clinton Highway And the one on Broadway are pretty bad when it comes to coupons, but it all depends on which cashier you deal with.  It has gotten so bad for us, we have to go out of our way to avoid using the checkout lines for cashiers that have given us a hard time in the past.

The store on Clinton highway last night informed us of the 5 like coupons policy, which they had never enforced before, and we didn’t know about.  I told them no problem, gave 1 item to my wife with the coupon, proceeded to pay for the other 5.  They had a manager look at the register, and “help” us with our problem by allowing the last coupon.  When we checked our receipt, we found out that instead of taking a dollar off, the override had increased our total by a dollar.  The coupon override can actually remove one of the previously approved coupons.

When we brought this up to management, they got disgusted with having to deal with it, but refunded the 2 dollars we had been overcharged by.  Everyone needs to check their receipts carefully, this seems to be something preprogrammed into their systems

          • Allison

I usually shop at the South Knoxville Kroger (Chapman Highway).  They seem to be pretty coupon friendly, but I also only have one computer, so I’ve never had more than two like coupons.

      • Katie

In the future please do not “yell at us”

    • CrystalCouponer

Another question….I just left my Kroger in Smyrna, TN. Posted on multiple doors as you enter the store were copies of coupons and the word “FRAUD!” was written all over the page in black marker. Anybody know what this is all about?

      • Anonymous

They must be specific Qs that are known fakes. When I used a $5/5 Kelloggs ip a while back, the cashier took out a huge binder with fraudulent q samples.

      • Anonymous

I work at Bi-Lo and I know there are a few fraudulent q’s going around here in S.C. One is for $4/1 Dr. Pepper and a $3/1 Oscar Meyer lunch meat. I don’t remember what the 3rd one was that we have posted in the office. HTH!

        • Vealley

there was also a $3/1 water coupon (nestle maybe?) in the same email pdf as those two going around.

    • Maggie

I guess kroger is changing their coupon policy!!I stopped by the one in douglasville today and the cashier told me their new policy was a limit of 5 like Qs per transaction. (They’ve never limited any items before,) But I think  she did say you will be allowed to break down your transactions and still be able to use more than 5 Qs if you need to!!!

      • Happyface3_98

They are doing that my area too. I had several coupons for the pantyliners and i had to ring them up 5 at a time

        • Koalamoby

Okay this is wrong, and we should all write to kroger Corporate as well as complain to local managers. I have been shopping at Kroger for years, and they have MANY sales where you HAVE to buy 10 items to get the additional discount. Usually .50 off each item. Therefore, they should allow 10 like coupons in each transaction. If they require you to buy 10 to get the discount, you SHOULD be able to use 10 coupons that are alike!!! Please repost and get everyone you know to write to Kroger.  It takes more than one voice to make a statement!

          • Mstw

I couldn’t agree more!!! I think they are having remorse for being on the extreme coupon show and now are taking it out on their loyal customers….All the more reason Publix has become my grocery store of choice!! I pass 2 Kroger to get to Publix.

            • Lea

Publix still has quantity limits – be serious. Having to do two transactions to get 10 items (10 – that’s a lot) is not that serious.

            • Michelle

My publix does not limit me. So, get your facts right.
You’ve got a serious chip on your shoulder here. I suggest you stop getting so worked up about other people’s shopping habits and focus more on your own worries.

        • Mrsds

Several? If you had several coupons and they allow up to 5 per transaction you should have had 1 transaction, unless the word several has changed meanings? Sounds like you may be a pantyliner hoarder.

      • Koalamoby

It’s not like the mega event only consists of one item, it’s not reasonable to purchase 10 items, that’s a little much. Pick two items from the mega event and buy five of each, problem solved. Unless you’re buying coupons or clearing out a store of their sunday papers, you shouldn’t have 10 coupons anyway. If all else fails, do separate transactions. Get it together people, it’s not just Extreme Couponing ruining it, it’s mentalities like this!

          • Brandy

Wow. Judgmental much? Get over yourself. Ten like items is not a huge deal. I’ve seen people buying a hundred like items. Now that’s a lot. I bought ten Kleenex cool touch today, and YES I did buy ten papers that week. Guess what? It’s MY prerogative to do just that. My family can easily use three boxes of tissues in one week, so that’s less than a month’s worth of tissues, not that it’s any of your business.
Keep your eyes in your own cart and get there earlier. Problem solved.

        • Katie

I see your point but it’s hard for them to stay stocked that way and soo many people were buying 50 of something and clearing ALL the shelves. They have to have some kind of limit. I am not sure there is a happy medium.

      • Lena

I live in central Ohio, and a few months ago they started limiting here as well. But we can only have 3 like coupons. They are really enforcing it too, I had four coupons that were expiring and they wouldn’t allow one extra. I complained to the manager about not being able to use at least the same number of coupons as the 10 for $10 and he said it was not just his store but corporate wide, and it stems because of extreme couponing on tlc.

        • Jhoran

Yes and guess who’s the front runner on the extreme couponing show.

      • peaches

Mine said that up here in Flowery Branch too.  She said it just changed a few weeks ago, but she broke my transaction up into 3 for me.  She kept saying how sorry she was, I told her it was no big deal.  Funny how she was the one embarrassed!

      • Beverly Turner

I am blessed to live one mile from my kroger! I often go in multiple times during a sale if there are limits. Not that I hoard mind you, but it lets me use multiple Qs. I know that is not an option for everyone.

    • Anonymous

My Hillshire Farm Lunchmeat coupon says Do Not Double or Triple, and it has that new barcode, does that mean it will NOT double as before?

      • Elle

I used 2 of those today and both doubled.

    • Farrah

My Kroger just told me that they will only accept one internet coupon per trip?? (Irmo, SC) Interesting…

      • Dpack2

if you are referring to the kroger on lake murray blvd then they have done this in the past if you go into the store and look for there employee time clock you will find the store policy and if the cashier refuses you can refer to it and tell her to read it if she refuses then get store manager involved i had too a while back and after that trip i have chosen not to go back to that store the other krogers on saint andrews down by i26 takes everything.

        • Stephanie H

I had a very bad experience at that store and refuse to go back there. I had the cashier and the customer service supervisor yell at me regarding using coupons in front of other customers when I was following their policy. They are very anti-coupon.

        • Farrah

Yes, I was  refering to the Lake Murray Kroger.  I didn’t realize there was another one in the area.  Thank you for the help.

        • TNgirl

Being rude and limiting coupons are two different things. I have shared my thoughts with Krogers. I want to be treated equally. Being rude is not an option but shopping at Krogers is, you at Publix….

        • scarieusc

I agree.  I shop at the one on St. Andrews every week and sometimes more b/c it is the closest to my house.  They are the best and the managers are great at doing the right thing.  The employees are so friendly and help whenever we need it.  This has become my favorite place to shop by far.

      • Marcie242

My Kroger’s in Springfield, TN said they will only except 4 internet coupons per trip.

    • Kroger shopper

I don’t use Kroger that often but have some gift cards I need to use. I drive almost an  hour now to get there. Anyone have any trouble with the ones in Durham, NC. I have just emailed Kroger requesting a corporate policy. I will post if they decide to email me back.

      • I shop a the Kroger at Hwy 54 and Fayettville Rd in Durham (Right off of Interstate 40) and I have never had any problems there. They are remodeling now so the isles are jumbled around, but every time I cant find something I ask and they lead me right to it. I always use coupons and I have never had any problems with being told there was a coupon limit per transaction (other than what the coupon stated, PG for example only allows 4 like coupons per transaction). I used 16 coupons today for the mega sale items  and some other things and they all scanned like a charm!

    • L_jackson427

      Does Kroger accept competitor’s coupons?

      • JanainTN

        Nope

      • Marcie242

        Who accepts competitor’s coupons?

    • Emily

Fyi-if included, the kleenex cool tough tissue coupon says “do not double”, so it would be .50c, not free

      • Emil

        “Kleenex Cool Touch Tissues”

        • Rachelmae_23

coupons still double at a store that doubles coupons, even if they say that… I think the “do not double” just means you can use the coupon its self more than once.

          • Lea

If the barcode starts with 9 it will NOT double

          • Andi330

I think that sometimes, for some coupons the manufacturer’s will actually reimburse the store the doubled amount when they double a coupon. If the coupon says do not double, the store can still choose to double it, but they won’t get the doubling reimbursed by the manufacturer.

            • Katie

The manufacturer will not reimburse the store for doubling. The store is charged the doubled amount.

    • JanainTN

On each and every shopping trip I have made to Kroger since I have been couponing, I find numerous empty shelves for the sale + coupon items. This has happened as early as 10am on a Sunday as well. It is so frustrating to need these items and see someone with 20 of them. Therefore, I must agree here and thank Kroger, in part, for limiting the coupons. I believe you should be limited to 5 of any like item if its on sale, whether you are using coupons or not! It is selfish and rude to your community. And yes, 10 of one item in one transaction or even one trip is extreme and greedy. If i is a 10 for 10 sale you dont have to get exactly 10 of the same item. Its called mix and match people…

      • Havik333

The early bird gets the worm

        • Lea

Shelf clearing is inconsiderate and not okay.

          • Havik333

I agree with you. That is the reason why I call the store manager to set a certain amount to the side.

            Thinking Before Acting!

        • Bee

I blame the store to an extent, but I know at my Kroger they spend a lot of time and effort stocking…yet there is always someone who comes in and “needs” 40 Ivory body wash. People, you don’t need 20 or 40 body wash unless you are running for philanthropic citizen of the year. By the time you finish a bottle or two, there will be another great sale or you will be bored enough to want to try another great deal.

It’s not always the “early” person who gets the worm. I don’t shop the first day of the sale. I go in and get the 1-5 items I need and invariably, I will see someone else in the store who thinks their IQ is superior to everyone else’s because they can load their cart down with these items. So, it’s the first rude worm that gets to the store. But hey I understand if some people are so broke that their actions toward others have become less than civil. To them, I give my sympathy that they will eventually find good jobs.

          • Havik333

Thank you for acknowledging the aptitude of an individual. I hope someday people like you will learn to live with the lower class. Since before our time people like you have ruined the economic structure of several flourishing societies do to ignorance, discrimination, and totalitarianism. In today’s time the 12% rich and 1% elite, who are not apart of the financially starved majority, us 87%, within the United States who have no choice, but to struggle to survive. I maybe considered  lower class and I may not have a job do to outsourcing like some odd fourteen million other Americans, but life is getting better everyday. All lower-middle class, upper-lower class, and lower-lower class
individuals should use coupons it is a perfect way to survive in this
            troublesome economy.

P.S. (Bee) don’t mistake sympathy for empathy. How do you know what someone else is thinking. It’s sad to think you are using coupons, you must not need the extra money that is derived from saving on the most expensive commodity known to humankind – FOOD –  Learn to get there early! or Find out about something called Rain Checks!

        • kathi

You’ve been watching way too much EC. This is the reason they had to change the policy.

          • Havik333

They haven’t changed the policy here in Athens, GA and I think you need to stop being jealous of others. We coupon enthusiast need to stick together not side with the corporations ie. STORES

            • kathi

I’m not jealous, I’m considerate of other shoppers. I’m also not taking sides. I have much better luck by being  nice, not angry w/ the store.  If I’m not happy, I can shop elsewhere.

      • Koalamoby

Buying 10 of one item is definitely NOT shelf clearing! be careful who you judge.. it is wrong to be labelling others.

        • my soap box

I agree! Being a one income family who makes $40 too much for food stamps…we live for 10 for 10. Sometimes that is the only time we treat ourselves to certain things. We struggle enough to eat…we don’t have cable tv, satellite, or any other luxuries except high speed internet so I can learn and coupon to keep our bellies fed. Our health insurance is so high, we barely float from month to month keeping up the house, electric, etc…

so, hoarding and buying 10 like items are two different monsters. Please don’t judge everyone on what’s in their cart. There a few of us out there that actually need what we buy and that might be the only way we can get it.

          • Koalamoby

USDA just came out with a report that food prices are going to rise noticeably this coming year.. why not stock up at the lowest price on things your family consumes?? It is foolish to pay full price!  and My Soap Box, what you said is true, and for example my kids love the Jamba juice smoothie frozen mixes, which were part of the buy 10, get 5.00 off deal just over a month ago. I bought 10 with coupons and they ended up being .50 each. If I went to buy them today they are 2.50 each. I cannot afford that so I stock up when things are on sale! If that means buying 10 I am all for it. Because many times we run out before we find a great deal on the same item again.

Remember that mega events last 2 weeks.  I don’t get discouraged if I find an empty shelf early in the sale.  Rarely will you not find the item in stock at some point in the two weeks.

      • Giniyoung

I blame the store to a great extent.  I go to Publix weekly on the last day of the sale and have yet to have a problem getting what I need.  They are on top of their game, stocking appropriately for their sale.  Not always so with Kroger.  Truthfully, just about every trip I make to Kroger leaves me a bit disappointed.  My receipt never is as I expect it to be when I check out…

    • Havik333

Thank You Jenny for all of your help you are truly a gift to all who seek coupon information. I appreciate the time you take out of your day to inform fellow coupon enthusiast. The Krusteaz Muffin Mix is not apart of the mega event, but the cookie mix is apart of the mega event. I cant wait until it does go on sale I have (50) 50 cent coupons ready to go. Once again Thank You!

      • Lindsay

The Krusteaz Muffin Mix was included in the mega event at my store this morning…it was the one step kind that comes in the tube.  $1.99 after the mega and $.99 if you have the $.50 coupon and it doubles.

        • Havik333

I must have missed it thank you for the advice! But it would be cool to get them for  49 cents each.

    • Cldiallo

Can.you used manufacture’s coupons on mega event sale items? Thanks

      • Teecee

        Yes!

      • gardengirl

Yes you can use mfg q’s on the mega items.

      • Cldiallo

        Thanks!

    • ponygirl19

I don’t usually shop at Kroger due to it being out of the way… HOWEVER… this wk I planned a trip due to the freebies I would be picking up !  I was VERY disappointed to learn that LAST WK they made changes to their coupon policy and that you can only use 5 like coupons !  THEN it was brought to my attention that I could do multiple transactions !  OKAY… WHAT AM I MISSING HERE…. Kroger says only 5 like coupons BUT you can check out over and over again ???  It seems to me that all I am going to do is HOLD THE LINE UP !!!

      • kathi

I’m guessing some stores will not allow multiple transactions.

      Osteo Bi-Flex One Per Day

    • Just a heads up to anyone in Durham, NC… The Kroger and Hwy 54 and Fayetville Road is remodeling (again)… They have an entire section of health & beauty, pull ups, etc at 50%… They are all in bins so you have to do some digging, but they have alot of items that coupons recently came out for like John Fredia, Garnier Nutrice, Centurm, Nature Bounty, all with 2012+ expiration dates…

    • lzip14

I went to my Kroger in Central GA and noticed that the Cool Whip Seasonal Delight was included in the Mega Deal. So with the $0.75 off coupon from their Facebook page it’s $0.14!

    • Cldiallo

Has anyone noticed if the Kleenex Cool Touch is included in Mega Event?

      • Freestuff4cb

        They are included.

      • Yolanda

just picked up 3 at 10pm in Decatur, GA

    • Anonymous

They have Kleenex on sale with the mega 10.  They are .99 after the .50 deduction. There are .50 off 3 in the 10/2 SS that expire today. Also the .50 off the Cool Touch 10/2 SS .  I used all my Cool Touch except one already
I bought 9 @ .99-33 = .69 each and one Cool Touch(free) to make 10.  I got a $1.00 Catalina on my next purchase. Not bad. If you have the Cool Touch coupons its a great deal.

      • Anonymous

Interesting…the Cat isn’t supposed to start until 10/31, according to Jenny’s Cat list.

      • Marcie242

The Kroger’s I went to was wiped out of the Kleenex Cool Touch today. :(

    • scarieusc

I found the Hidden Valley Ranch salad kits at my Kroger on markdown for $1.29.  There was a $1.00 coupon last week I think (I had 3) and after the Q it came to .29 each!  I got the ceasar..perfect for lunches!

    • Seabone

The Kroger Pharmacy – save $25 if you transfer a prescription rx to Kroger – you get $25 gift card for Kroger & you can do more than one.  You have to take in the store coupon which is in today’s paper for the Southeast Region.
If anyone knows of any other pharmacies that will match, please post.  Thank you ;D

      • Patricia

The pharmacy in Canton,Ga does not require the coupon, just a transfered Rx.They also have a sign that  the $25 program allows up to $500 per year. I have done $325 so far this year. They allow multiple $25 at once. I have gotten $100 in one trip for 4 Rxs. Now, just an FYI on redeeming the credits. Yesterday I went to check out and gave them my Kroger card at the beginning, so the computer knew who I was. Once the items were rang up, the cashier asked if I wanted to use my pharmacy credit. I said yes. He then began to ring in my coupons, but the register would not take them.He said he has to total the order before ringing coupons and at that point the computer asks whether to use the credit. My credit was large enough to cover the entire order, so the sale was tendered out and would not take the coupons. I was very upset and went to customer service. The girl said this is just the way the registers are programed, but she rang up my coupons and gave me the cash for them. In the future, I will not give them my card until all items and coupons are rang up. Hopefully this will solve the problem. Otherwise, I will have to ring coupon items and pay cash and then do another transaction for the non-coupon items and use the Rx credit. Going to customer service fixed the problem, but that is a risky bet since you may have to wait in line forever at customer service. I hope this is helpful info for anyone using the pharmacy program.

        • Anonymous

Yep, it’s a known glitch. The CS rep told me to call the 1-800 number to let them know — as if he had nothing to do with it. The workaround is to “suspend” the transaction after zapping all the Qs, then continue with the transaction. It involves a supervisor. Pain in the hiney!

        • DaculaMama

It’s a glitch in their system but after having countless problems with my store, this is the way they have fixed it:  after they ask you if you want to use your Rx credits, you answer NO and give them your Qs.  After they scan all your Qs, you hand them a candy bar which they scan and then you “change” your mind, so they have to void it.  At that point, they will ask you again if you want to use your Rx dollars and you tell them yes.  Voila!!!  (It also works if you hold back one of your grocery items and present at the end – that way they don’t have to void).

It is absolutely crazy that Kroger has not fixed this issue in 2+ years (the time I have been complaining).  However, my store at least figured out a way around it.  It is frustrating when I have to talk a new cashier through the whole shebang b/c this is not part of their training.

          Hope this helps you out.

          • Patricia

            Good idea.Thanks!

        • Tab

If you don’t hand them your kroger plus card BEFORE they scan the coupons none of your coupons will double. Learned that one the hard way.

        • Seabone

Appreciate your input – however I am not having such luck at the Murrells Inlet, South Carolina store.  As a matter of fact, the pharmacists were very rude to me.   I had 6 prescriptions that were new – not transfers – and I also had the Kmart $20 off coupons (for price match), along with the Kroger $25 rx coupon from today’s newspaper.  I did not even get one cent off, even after much ado & after initially agreeing to pricematch the Kmart ones.  When I arrived for pickup, I was much surprised.  They went out of their way to make sure I DID NOT get to use the coupon.
Please post a link to something official about this $500.00 rx coupon allowance that you know about.  I would like to see it, read it, print it and take it to my local pharmacy.
Maybe I will get refills, tomorrow – ha!Appreciate any reports of other pharmacies that are price matching.
Also a number to call Kroger corporate and complain.
          Thanks

          • CatBlue

The maximum $ amount is regional.  Call the number on your Kroger card to confirm the max in your region.

          • Patricia

I haven’t seen any written policy, only a sign at my pharmacy

          • Patricia

My store will not give the $25 on new Rxs or refills from a Kroger, only ony Rxs transfered from another pharmacy(not Kroger). I believe the corporate policy is to match other pharmacy coupons, but some stores make up their own rules.I would have asked for my prescriptions back and filled them elsewhere then transfer them to Kroger when you get them refilled.Go to the Kroger website and I’m sure there is contact info to complain to corporate. Publix will match competitor coupons as long as the same rules of the coupon apply, but store managers also have final say on what the will accept.Call your store and ask the pharmacist for your stores policy. Also, keep an eye out for Rx coupons in Target and KMart ads. They have them occasionally.

        • Xxiseestarzxx

The only time i have had a problem with redeeming the RX credits AND using coupons, is one night i went in late, around midnight and they only had the self checkouts available. It asks if you want to use the RX credits, hit no, and it allows to scan coupons but doesnt ask again about the RX credits. Hit yes and it cashes out without allowing you to scan coupons.   But i just went back at 8 am when there was a manager, and she rung up the q’s for me and gave me cash back!.   But at the register ive never had a problem. they just hit no the first time and scan q’s then hit yes when it ask again. OR they hit yes, it takes the entire amount of RX credits off , then scan q’s and end up giving me cash back.   its ok tho, because its free money to me.   since i dont even have to pay for my Rx’s (insurance deductable and out of pocket max-met)   =)

      • Marcie242

I didn’t see this coupon in my paper today. What section was it in?

    • Mom_of_one

I went for my mega event trip today and it didn’t turn out so well (Raleigh, NC).  They had products with mega tags on them that weren’t in fact part of the event so once I checked out, the $5 didn’t come off.  I asked the manager if this was correct and she said yes.  When I looked at all of the “mega event” items, they weren’t in fact the mega price because some of them didn’t count.  Also, apparently you can’t use a Catalina coupon from another retailer, even though it states “manufacturer coupon” like you can elsewhere such as HT and Walgreens.

Just be sure to verify all items are actually part of the event and you may get a decent deal!

      • Anonymous

Kroger has a scan right policy. If they had tags, but didn’t ring up, they should give you that product free.

      • Jam5az

I had a problem as well.  I got a total of 20 items and only .50 came off half, so I was missing $5 in discounts.  I went to customer service and they said I only got 13 participating items.  This is not possible, because I got only a few different types of items and  I was very careful about making sure I got exactly what was on the list.  Then, someone yelled out that a spaghetti spill happened and she did not say anything else, gave me a $5 after pushing buttons and scanning stuff and went on to deal with the spill.  IDK – very strange.

      • Anonymous

I have picked up items that weren’t included in the mega sale before. But my store is very good about letting you go to customer service and swap out the items and give you the $5.00 off. They have really good customer service. Their employees will ask you if there is something they can help you find. Maybe they need to send some of their employees to train some of the people at some of the other stores.

      • Marcie242

I didn’t see this coupon in my paper today. What section was it in?

        • Marcie242

sorry posted this in the wrong place.

      • Faye Wilkerson

If the store had them marked on the shelf mega, and they were not included in the deal you should have showed them their mistake.  The price on the shelf has to be honored.

    • Bdurr1010

febreze in the can is 1.99 If u got the coupon for 2.00 Off 2 Feberze it makes it .99 and also the air freshern that takes no battery will be .99 and it an mega sale

      • lynn

the one you plug in the wall?

      • Koalamoby

        Thanks!

    • I think Kroger and other grocery stores needs to look ahead at what coupons are already out or coming out the week of the sale and order plenty of stock and everyone will be happy! Problem solved!  =)

      • Havik333

I agree they should increase their stock.
But, some of the store management personnel feel coupon usage is similar to stealing even though they get the full face value of the coupon plus 8 cents or so for shipping costs from the manufacturer.

        • kathi

Yes, but they do get face value, but they don’t get the amt they double, people seem to forget that!

          • Havik333

Are you defending a corporate Titan?

            • kathi

I’m not defending anyone, I’m just telling it like it is. The store does pay the “doubled” value, for cpns.  What is so wrong with acknowledging that?? However, if my store treated me like I was stealing, I would shop elsewhere.

          • Beckyc63

Ok, I highly doubt that Kroger is doubling coupons out of the kindness of their hearts, and LOSING money.

            • kathi

On cpns that they double, the store does take the loss on that cpn. Of course they make money on other sales, and it entices customers, but they don’t get the doubled value reimbursed.

            • Jhoran

Think about it …. Lets say that nobody shopped at kroger….now imagine all that product on the shelf …. it brings to mind something someone once told me … an item on the shelf is worth nothing if someone does not buy it! Also, lets not forget to factor in the people that don’t use coupons ….they’re probably the ones that pick up that loss.

          • jhoran

True, but its an incentive for people to shop at their store instead of going to the competitor.

            • kathi

I absolutely agree, it is an incentive.  I just notice some won’t acknowledge that the store is doing something “extra”.   The bottom line price is what matters to me, as long as I’m treated well.

        • Carriblee

They would not offer any type of coupon if they were not getting their money back!!  Bottom line is the people that work at these stores especially the managers have to take the heat when someone comes in and wipes the shelves out and upset coupon customers come in irrate. We all love a good deal and we would all be happy couponers if everyone used a little common courtesy..

      • Tony

well when someone like the lady a few posts back buys 126 boxes of kleenex….makes it kind of hard for kroger to think ahead and stock.  those people are the reasons kroger has to change their policy.

        • binky

          Amen Tony……

          I

        • jhoran

Really!!!! I wonder why then they were on the “extreme couponing show” allowing hundreds of coupons on a 1000.00 + order, which I might add, ended up crashing the register. Also, I don’t see why it would be hard for kroger to think ahead of the sales …… if couponers can do it, kroger can as well, especially since they know far in advance what’s coming up.

    • Byrdsminidachshunds

kroger on 278 in covington ga is only taking 5 like coupons per household per day! :(

      • Marcnmoni

The one in Forest Park, Ga has a new policy and they are only taking 5 coupons of any like item….found that out when one of my coupons would’t scan today

      • aujones99

        Same in AIken, SC.

      • Erin

        Same with mine :(

      • Brewerlisam

Mine too.  Just found out today when my coupons wouldnt scan.  I wanted to use 8 of them to buy my two weeks worth of frozen veggies and three of them wouldnt scan  (Canton, GA)  :(

Did anyone fined the coupon for the swiss miss hot cocoa?

      • Anonymous

I didn’t have that one in my paper.

The Heinz gravy at my store had a q under the label for $1 off 2 beef or chicken gravy.

    • Mmgold7

Are the Birds Eye Steamfresh Chef’s Favorites included? or is it just the regular Steamfresh?

      • Jam5az

Chefs favorites were included in the two stores I went to today.  I went twice because I checked on this and realized I had forgotten those exact qs at home!

      • Krytle Mccabe

I found out the hard way it is just the regular steamfresh at my Kroger in Nashville, TN.   Had to try to re-configure what items I was going to use instead for my deals because I didnt have the correct coupons with me.  =(

      • PJM

Chef’s Favorites were included at my store in Garner, NC.

    • I had some MAJOR issues at Kroger today. My mom and I had 2 separate transactions in to 2 checkout lanes. After completing mine, I went to stand by Customer Service to wait for her and good thing I did. I counted 20 [+] for my total only 15 [+] were on the receipt. After doing some research with the woman behind the counter, who was very sweet, we figured out that the stock-people had put the WRONG cans in with the ones that were on the Mega Sale. I picked up 5 “Special Select” something cans of green beans from the stack on display for the sale.  They rang up $1.19 a piece.  Not a bargain! Same thing happened to mom.  We ending up spending another 30 minutes at customer service trying to fix the problem.  Needless to say, the woman was really frustrated, but not with us – with the morons who put the wrong cans on display!

      • twiggy

sometimes its not the stock clerks.  I’ve seen customers dump as much as a case of cans in the wrong place when they realize they have the wrong item.  unfortuneately they put them with the sale items.

    • Marcnmoni

My kroger Forest Park,Ga had the Honest Ade organic teas and juice as part of the mega event for $.75 a piece….some of them have coupons for BoGo and others for a $1 off two….I found 5 with the $1 off cpn bought 10 total and only paid $2.50 for all of them $.25 a piece and these juices usually cost between $1.50-$2 a piece…..great unexpected deal today!!

    • Gntmo2

I found a fun Q in stovetop I bought at kroger today, it is on sale for $1/a box. there is a $1/2Q inside the box. so .50/a box.
Thank you for all your work with matchups, they are usually close enough to the prices at my Kroger in Athens, ga.

    • PJM

Kroger has the Christmas 64 ct. Huggies wipes for $1.99, use the $.50 coupon which doubles to $1, plus Upromise has $1 off 2 packs of Huggies wipes.  I bought 4 and paid $.74 each after Upromise.

    • Couponqueen

YAY!!! Got 126 boxes of Kleenex!!!  Total…..$0.00

      • Marcie242

are you donating some of these?

        • Anonymous

          none of your business!

          • kathi

It is no one’s business whether she is donating, I agree.  However, buying this many is why the policy is changing.  Somebody else might want a few!!!

            • Hcontes22

well don’t worry….by the time people like her are done there won’t be any couponing anymore.  She is one of the ones who is ruining it for everyone.

            • erin

you don’t know that she didn’t pre order them so she could pick up the cases at the store, you don’t know whether she’s donating them all to the shelter or has 11 sick children and needs them all. it’s very unlikely that she’s your neighbor down the street clearing out “your” kroger.
              chill out, all of you.
you act like she’s coming into your house and stealing stuff right out from under you.
              unclench

            • Anonymous

Not likely she pre-ordered since no one knew if the cool touch was included in the mega sale until Sunday morning. At 11 children each, that’s 11 noses total. The other 115 boxes probably went to the orphans at her church?! Yes, I am being judgmental. Why? All that’s left at my Kroger are four bare shelves where Kleenex used to be. You and the original poster may not have shopped at my store, but it takes just one person with the “I got here first” attitude to ruin it for everyone else. :)

            • Akingil123

Come on, relax everyone…its 10 boxes of.tissue, that’s not an insane amount. What if she had 2 sick kids and a sick husband? You could easily go through that. Would it be different if she bought ten boxes with NO coupons? When we see someone in the store buying a certain amount of something, we dont know their situation so shouldnt judge.

            • kathi

I have no problem w/ 10 boxes, it says 126, though.

I get what you are saying ireneY….

I’m not arguing any of that, what I wanted to say, in case you didn’t know ( and I know this ISN’T the point you are making, but its still helpful) is that you can get a rain check for how many you wanted to buy. :)

            • Anonymous

Cici, you’re so sweet to mention the rain checks! I’ve tried it with mega sales before; the managers either won’t/can’t write one with mega price or doesn’t know how. How does your store do it?

      • shelly

How did you get them for free and what coupons did you use??  Do Share!!  :-)

      • Anonymous

She probably wiped out the Cool Touch variety with the $.50 that doubled (expired 10/30) and got Catalinas for buying 6+. So very considerate of you to post the deal when the deal can’t be done anymore.
I can’t believe there’s still a Kroger out there that doesn’t set limits.

        • shelly

Wow…why do you have to be so nasty?  It only makes YOU look bad.

          • Anonymous

Recognize extreme couponing for what it is — behavior that is not community-minded nor respectful to others. And it makes me angry. I donate my time and resources, but have never bought more than 10 of anything. Moving large quantities of a single item from a retail space to a charity, while appreciated, is not helpful or practical.
I’ll get off my soap box now. Carry on…

      • Newbie

please tell me how you did this.  This will be my first time and I REALLY want to know how to get $0.00.  Ok, at least a significant saving.

      • Koalamoby

I got 10 yesterday but had to go to 2 different Krogers..and used 5 coupons at each.  They only have 50 tissues in each box, once my kids catch a cold. these will barely make it through the winter!  I also bought a few of the other Kleenex which were still a great buy at .66 each.

        • Koalamoby

          I didn’t get any catalinas though :(

          • Anonymous

Did you get 5 or more?

            10/31 – 11/27
Kleenex Facial Tissues, 50 ct. +
            Buy 5, get $1 off
            Buy 6, get $1.50 off
Buy 7+, get $2 off Catalina

      • Chrisia871

        yuck …

      • Mary

It’s shoppers like you who are leading stores to limit quantities and ruining couponing for the rest of us.  126 boxes of Kleenex?  Really?  Couldn’t you have left a couple of boxes for the other shoppers who may have needed them?

    • Smoochy_one

I went to Kroger yesterday & they had Tyson Boneless, skinless chicken breasts for $1.99 lb.  (Newnan, GA)

    • Alison

Some other items I noticed were a part of the sale Dove products (soap, body wash, shampoo) Axe body wash and scrubber, Fruit snacks (I think Betty Crocker brand not positive) Colgate toothbrushes. Also the Domino Confectioner sugar was on sale for $2.45 a bag but not on the mega event.

    • melody

Is this Mega event 10 items, 10 of the same item (like 10 boxes of kleenex) or 10 of any of these porducts?

      • Hanna

It can be any ten items. They do not have to be the same ones.

Is fat free pringle include on the mega deal ?

      • Aldickens1123

No i went this morning and the fat free are not apart of the mega.

    • Titilayo2000

I went to Kroger at Jonesboro, GA  an 1hr ago to use the $2.00 minute maid coupons that I have about six. I was told that they no longer accept printed internet coupons. Is this a new policy?

      • Mslonas

mine only accepts 2 now :(

      • Anonymous

My store limits how many like printed coupons they will take, only 1 is allowed per transaction.

      • Anonymous

Walmart has them for 2.98…. I used them there.

      • lisb2

Just last week, I was in a store in Houston, TX and was told they are no longer accepting ANY internet coupons.  This is typically a very coupon friendly store.  I spoke with the store manager and he said the decision was due to abuse and “copying” of coupons.  I only had one internet coupon and he accepted it “this one time”, but he said Kroger as a company is moving towards electronic coupons and that internet coupons will no longer be accepted.  So, no doubles and now now internet coupons.  Bye, bye Kroger!

      • Laura

Seems like each store can set their own policy. For a full year now one kroger near me only accepts internet coupons 50 cents or less, my other kroger has never had any limit on value or #. So I have to take all my high value there.

I’ve read on several sites a lot of krogers recently set limits of 2 internet coupons per customer per day.

Not sure if you heard this from a cashier or management. You can’t always trust what a cashier says, I have been told by some cashiers at target, walgreens & walmart that they have all stopped accepting internet printables….but then a different cashier will take them the next trip without a word.

Does anyone know if this list has been updated with the unadvertised deals? Thx.

      • Anonymous

Don’t see where the unadvertised deals list has been posted yet.

        • Anonymous

At the top of the ad, Jenny said she would try and post the extra deals, but she usually will add that “this list has been added to”.

    • lisa

Carolina Forest Kroger (Conway – Myrtle Beach, SC) – Their in-store ad did not have a Mega Event page or anything about it at all in the ad, and I saw nothing marked for it on the shelf sale prices. I saw that the Stove Top Stuffing was $1.49 per box and Campbell’s soup was 99c per can, the Nature’s Own bread was not marked BOGO (or anywhere in the ad), and the Red Delicious apples were not on sale either, and I turned around and left. I just now checked their sale ad thru their website for that store and the Mega Event is posted there as the first couple pages of the ad. However, the Nature’s Own Bread and Red Delicious apples are nowhere I can find.

      • Lifewithyould

Are you sure your store’s sales start on Sunday?  Mine starts on the Wednesday after Jenny’s.

        • mom2riley

Yes- ours start on Sunday. I got mine with the mega ads in them. I live in the area and shop at Carolina Forest as well. IF you get the Sun News delivered, they are really bad about putting all of the inserts in the paper….

      • Anonymous

I went there Sunday around lunch time and the sale signs were up. I bought 20 items and got all the discounts, but I didn’t buy any of the items you mentioned.

      • Nichola2

I live there too and both of my papers had the mega ad in them yesterday? Maybe it was just a glitch

    • In my kroger add in louisville KY there there is crest toothpaste still on sale 10 for 10, and there was another coupon for .50cents off in the p&g add in the paper this week

      • Scott wilson

i noticed that in the nasvhville area too.  which is part of the louisville region.

    • 1Shoppingerin

There were Bogo free Schick Disposable Razors!  In Kentucky stores.

    • Shaneweaver123

Went to kroger this evening . I got 4 febreeze candles, 4 febreeze set and refresh, 3 4 pack rolls of 1000 sheet toilet paper, 8 cg eye blushes and 2 cans of delmonte veggies. Total before coupons was 68.22. Total after coupons.. Krogers had to pay me $2.20 to take the groceries out of the store. lol

      • Sarahh569

how did you get toilet paper free, i only have like .25 cents coupons off, never anything close to being free? which paper was the febreeze candles in by the way, looking for that one, hope it has not expired. thanks..

        • Shaneweaver123

It expired 10/31. I got the toilet paper from the credit from the make-up.

      • Tynurse20

wow thats awesome, how much were the febreeze candles?

        • Shaneweaver123

          4.99

How to Use RX coupon with coupons in your transaction: When
you give the cashier your Kroger card to scan tell them you want to use
the RX $ coupon after your coupons are scanned. They have an option key
on the register to allow the RX $ to be credited after your coupons are
scanned. Here are the instructions since many cashiers do not know how to do this.

Instructions: (Put a copy in your binder)
      – Cashier has to enter “NO” at the prompt to give customer RX coupon credit
      – at end of transaction cashier scans coupons
      – Hit “override” button, then “Yes” for RX coupon credit
      – Then “enter” now your RX coupon is applied

      • Xxiseestarzxx

If they do it before, they just end up giving you cash back!! Free money!!!   Ive had to transfer 9 RX from FL to GA when i moved, and got 225$ RX credits!!!! Didnt know they did the 25$ for every transferred RX but my Kroger did!   Plus got a bunch of points on my card so i was able to get 50cents off a gallon TWICE!!!!   =)   Awesome!

      • kathi

I thought you were boycotting Kroger!!  Do you only boycott when it is convenient??

    • Monzellia

I was so excited when I got an unexpected $4.00 Manufacturer Coupon (Catalina) from Blue Diamond Almond Milk! This offer is good 10/10 – 11/6.
      Buy (2) get $0.75
      Buy (3) get $1.50
Buy (4) or more get $4.00!!!

Just to let everyone know that in the Louisville area kids kandoo wipes(the refill package) are $1 this week at kroger…I had several 50 cent off coupons, so I got them all for free!

      • Black_spider86

thanks for posting! they were here last week, and I was hoping it continued

    • Staci_marie

Just had a small shopping trip to Krogers – and I think they took a preloaded Ecoupon + manufacturers coupon on the same item.  I didn’t do it on purpose.

Before going to Kroger I loaded a couple of Ecoupons.  $.60/1 Sundrop and $1.00/1 Crest toothpaste.  The Crest Q said it excluded Crest w/ baking soda & I didn’t know which ones were on sale for $1.  I also had 2 $.50/1 Crest MQs, no exclusions.  The ONLY toothpaste on the shelf at $1.00 a tube was baking soda, so I just got 2 to use my 2 MQs.

Checked out for $17.82 after tax:
14 cans of Cream of chicken/cream of mushroom MEGA
4 2L Diet Mtn Dew MEGA
1 Hillshire Farms lunch meat MEGA
      1 Kraft 24 Singles MEGA
      1 Bisquick mix
      2 Crest toothpaste
1 bag marked down candy corn
      1 Loaf bread
      1 2L Sundrop

Had .50/1 for the Bisquick, 2 x $.50/1 for the toothpaste.  All doubled.  Also $1/5 and 2 x $.40/3 for the soup.  And a $.75/1 for the lunch meat.  When I got my receipt I confirmed the $.60 Ecoupon applied to the Sundrop – and I saw the Ecoupon for $1 also came off the toothpaste.

Not sure how I could have avoided that?

      • Anonymous

I accidentally did the same thing on the Crest last week.  I used a e-coupon and manufacturer’s coupon on one Crest that I purchased.  Did not notice the cash register beeping like it usually does.

      • Shani Doss

I had both eCoupons and paper coupons applied to an item too, *accidentally*, just yesterday!  I was actually surprised when I checked my receipt after I got home.  I thought the system was supposed to avoid accepting both?  I really didn’t know I had eCoupons for certain items; I was prepared to only use paper coupons.  I need to check my eCoupons more carefully before shopping, as I don’t want to double dip and mess it up for other customers!

        • Staci_marie

Knowing your eCoupons may not avoid it.  I used 2 paper coupons because the Crest eCoupon excluded the type of toothpaste I was buying.  Or so it said at Kroger’s eCoupon page.  But it applied anyhow.

    • Carterstowing22

I love this website.  It’s great!!!!

    • Tindall08

My .40cent and .50cent coupons didn’t double..does anybody know why?

      • Tab

Did you give them your plus card before or after they scanned the coupons? They won’t double if they don’t scan the plus card first.

        • Christmasliz2002

I always scan my card last and they double just fine. Kroger has changed there coupon policy at least in GA they have. They only double five like coupons now. And they will only take 5 coupons for the same items. It hasnt hit every store yet, as I was able to get the Kleenex on sat. But when I went today for other items they limited the amounts as they just got word to do so yesterday. The stores are posting the new policy at customer service.

          • Anonymous

here in v a too no policy up yet . but the cashiers have been informed as of nov 1

      • MCL

I am almost positive that the only coupons that double are manufacture coupons, and for some reason I’m thinking that only paper coupons (and not digital ones) double…

        • Littlemcknz

Yep that’s right new policy change internet coupons will not double no matter the value and only per item.

      • Don Heiland

The bar code must start with a 5 to have your coupon double.

    • diane

Did anyone find the Land O Lakes butter Q in the Nashville Tennessean newspaper?

      • Deanna

Nope, not in my Tennessean.  I had travelled to the St. Louis area that weekend too and their paper’s inserts didn’t have it either.  Must have been very regional.

    • Berries_red

Ricola throat drops are on sale and part of mega so they are 99¢ and there is $1 mc = free

      • Rosayna101

What insert that coupon came from?

    • Sherryl

Has anyone found out if Activia is included in the Dannon yogurt 4pk for $1.49 as part of the Mega event?

      • KRMsmom

Activia is not included, they are regular price.

    • singsanctus

If you are buying more than 10, do you need to do multiple transactions to receive the $$ off? or can you get 20 items $10 off, etc?

      • Michelle

As long as you have multiples of 10, you should be ok.  If you have 20 items, $10 will come off.  It might max out at 30 items, I’m not sure.

      • gardengirl

usually you can do multiple deals in one transaction but i always check w/ customer service before i start shopping

    • rob

Are you still planning to update this list with all the inclusions, Jenny?  I am still waiting till I know what all to plan for… thanks…

    • Laura

Not sure if anyone else posted this…Krogers has a catalina for $5 if you spend $20 on Huggies product. So I decided to buy the products that I had the best coupons. I bought two packages of Huggies Little Movers Slip Ons for 9.39 and a package of wipes for $1.99. Total 20.77 minus 2 ($3 Slip on diaperss) and 0.50 on wipes which doubled to $1. Making it 13.77. Then it printed my $5 catalina and a $3 catalina. Apparently, Krogers is offering the $5, but the $3 catalina was for purchasing 2 packages of Huggies.

      • Cetheri3

Where did you find the $3 off coupon?

      • Danywalt

Yes and to make better if you do the cars 2 deal you also get back 5$ and there its a mail in rebate for $10 if you buy $20 on kimberly clark and cars 2 dvd.the rebate also stats our doesn’t have to be made in the same transaction.

    • Went to Kroger last week for some good coupon items, first time in awhile I’ve had several coupons for my regular list. It took a good 20 minutes for her to scan them, she analyzed each one, went back through my order and double checked each item. The most I had of any 1 was 5, but they only doubled 2 of the one I had 5 of. I only had 20 coupons, it wasn’t a big trip, but such a hassle. I believe I had several IPs so I’m glad those took, but when I started couponing I switched to Kroger for their awesome deals, now I’m not sure where else I should go, but Kroger is definitely not my first choice anymore

      • Vincent

I agree totally.  Kroger used to have pretty good deals.  Now they pretty much suck at it.  I’m going to start shopping at Publix more.  They appear to have much better deals.

      • Anonymous

me too may have to go back to food city

    • Momof2

My local Krogers (Warner Robins, GA) Is saying that Corporate coupon policy is no more than 5 like coupons per day. Even if my husband is with me they wont let us do more than one transaction. Luckily since we didnt know they allowed us to finish that day. Anyone else having problems like this? I have email the company but still no response. Makes it kinda hard to take full advantage of the “Mega Event” items if there is only one of the items you want.

      • ME

Same thing here in SC, 5 newspaper/paper coupons.  And they only allow me to use 1 internet coupon for a particular item.  Then on top of that, I can only use 2 internet coupons from each Manufacturer, but they must be for different products.  Now how am I supposed to keep up with that?

      • Littlemcknz

I wasa given the policy today told it was a nation wide policy, but on the policy it said only one internet coupon (per item) nothing about the mfr. but no matter what the value it will not double.

      • Sherryl

I do not see how they could stop you and your husband from doing separate transactions – you are 2 people, just because you came in shopping together, doesn’t mean you are paying together. I have shopped mainly at Kroger for years. I have just this year started to go to Publix when they have great deals, but still do most of my shopping at Kroger, including my prescription medications. If I have a problem on my next trip, I will not go back, I will just go to Publix for all of my groceries, or Wal-mart.

    • Kb

has anyone mentioned the Blue diamond catalina? buy 4 milks, get $4 back!!! woohoo! so when you buy 8 and get 2 more mega items, like the j&j soaps like I did, and use a coupon, you get the almond milks for 45 CENTS!!!!! because they are 2.49, minus .55 coupon, minus 1$ each….WOOHOO!!

    • ME

Went to Kroger today and had 2 internet coupons for 2 of the same items.  Lady at the checkout would not take them both.  NEW POLICY…..can only use 5 newspaper/clipped like coupons per shopping trip.  And get this…..can only use 1 internet printed coupon (not 2 of the same item any longer).  I had 2 coupons for 2 boxes of brownies and I could only use one.  Even worse than that….they state that you can only use 2 internet coupons PER manufacturer.  That means 2 Pillsbury items, 2 Hershey’s items, etc. and they have to be for different items.  Anyone else finding the same thing?  I read the policy, but the wording is confusing.

      • Anonymous

in v a nov 1 said 5coupons per items no policy up yet but the cashier informed me monday said nothing about internet ones . i got 20 soups and used 4 coupons no trouble .so here you can get 5 items with 5 coupons said to stop the horders from wipeing off shevles is why they had to do this still love my kroger

      • Aturner527

I was told today at the Kroger in Huntsville, AL that I could only use 2 total internet coupons in my transaction (not just per manufacturer).  I have not seen the written policy yet, so I am planning to email Kroger.

      • Lauren

I could live with the 5 newspaper coupon policy, but the 1 internet coupon policy seems a little extreme.  I’ve got several options for where to shop in my area & Kroger will definitely lose out on my business with that policy.

    •  In louisville area just a heads up to moms out there with babies. There is 2 catalina deals. one with gerber, not sure how many you have to buy but I got a 5dollar off next order when I bought 32 jars of gerber baby food..you might be able to buy less thats just what i bought. Also there was an add in the paper about if you buy $20 worth of huggies products you get a $5 off your next order coupon. AND there were kandoo wipes on sale at my store for $1. Not with the mega event or anything just $1 so if you have any of the kandoo wipes coupons left over..for .50cents off, and your store doubles then you get some free wipes too!

    • Davit

Couponing makes me horny!  Anybody else feel that way?

      • Tennis_nut

    • Pampam4500q

Does Kroger Mega sale last for 2 weeks?  going out of town and need to know if I have to hit Kroger before I leavem or can it wait????

      • BROOKE99

        yes

    • Guest

Not part of the mega event, but my Kroger has Carmax lip products 10 for $10.00.

    • guest

do you have to do separate transactions if you want to buy more than 10 items?

      • zebby

you do not have to do multiple transactions.  You just have to buy in multiples of 10 to get the mega event prices. You can get 10,20,30 etc.

    • Christie

Ok people, I just got back from my local kroger, I only bought 10 items from the Mega 10 Event….well 5 of them were canned Del Monte vegetables. After looking at the receipt I notice that I didnt even save $5. I meant that should have been the minimum amount I was going to save. Turns out the Del Monte Veggies are listed as 10 for $10, so I only save $0.01 on each can vs. $0.50 on the mega event. I called the store (first time I have EVER done anything like that) and was told that its either one event or the other, said I could come back in and we could go over the receipt (like I’m an idiot). Anyway feeling pretty cheated on my recent purchses.

      • Catherine

I was at the one in Evans, Ga and that Kroger is not going to accept more than 5 coups for the same item and are not allowing multiple trans.

      • Kristin

Kroger is very sneaky/tricky in the way they word their sales. There are mega event items where you have to buy 10 items. And there are 10 for $10 items that are $1 each.  You really have to pay attention to which is which.  I’m sorry this happened to you.  It’s one of the reasons I’m not fond of Kroger. I feel like they are frequently pulling the proverbial wool over our eyes.

      • Littlemcknz

You had to be very careful, on.y certain cans were in th esale and some were very mixed up.

    • Stacy5520

In Newnan Georgia,  the Kroger told me they would only allow 5 coupons from the paper and if it was a printable coupon they only would allow 2.  They will not allow multiple transactions..  Bye bye Kroger…. some kind of warning would have  been nice…Hello Publix !!!

      • Sherryl

I normally do not buy more than 5 of one item, except yogurt, if they have more than 5 in stock, that is. I buy the Activia 4pks Peach Cobbler and I planned on buying as many as they have in stock, I have 20 coupons, but they usually have less than 10 pks on the shelf. I was told they are not included in the Dannon $1.49 mega price, so I would be paying full price before my coupon. But Publix has it on sale for $2.00, so I will go there and buy as many as they have. Kroger is going to lose a lot of customers by doing this, especially after they are shown on Extreme Couponing all the time letting those people use hundreds of like coupons and many transactions!!

      • Daymon

        Stacy…which store in Newnan?

        • carolyn

Did you ever find out what store in Newnan?   I shop more at Publix now.

    • Ecclub

I just bought some Huggie wipes and used the $0.50 coupon but they were not doubled. The coupon did not say DND does anyone know why?

      • Staci_marie

Did you scan your Kroger Plus card before the coupons?  Coupons only double if you use your Plus card.

Also, if it was an eCoupon those don’t double.

    • Kristin

I don’t know if this is Atlanta area only.  I received Kroger Qs in the mail today.  Some store Qs for free items. And some MF Qs.

    • Littlemcknz

I was handed the new coupon policy for my Kroger in Paris TN, you can only use 5 like coupons. The will all double, you can only use ONE internet printed coupon and it will not double no matter the value. The Cashier stated they rc’d it wednesday from corp and it was a nation wide policy. (not sure if that aprt is right or not as it did not say that on the sheet.) So with all that said booo Kroger. Okay I don’t buy tons of items at a time so I am good with the five but only one internet coupon and not doubling even the one you can say I use. That i think is BS.

    • Shelleyschu

With all of the negative comments about Kroger’s new and not uniformly inforced policy, I am really doubting if I should even try to go to Kroger anymore.  This really makes me discouraged to even cut out coupons. It takes time to prepare. With this new policy, it may not be worth it. :-(

Before couponing, I used to spend about $250 per week in this store. Now, I rarely spend $50 per week at Publix.

    • Isis

My Kroger here in Atlanta, GA continues to take unlimited coupons (weather printed off internet or from papers)…they are always stocked and have no issues with people using coupons.

      • ME

Lucky you….I was told each manager can decide what they wish to do at their individual store.

    • Troop_1379

I went to kroger for the first time on Nov first.I did not think I had one around here but i found one. Wow I got some great deals. They were nice and toke all my coupons I had about 60 and all of them doubled that were .50 and under and some of them I had 5 or 6 like coupons. I guess it is in your area on how the CP is working and I got gas for 3.10 a gal. made my day

    • Lmb0923

At my Kroger yesterday they had certain sizes of the Orville Reddenbacher popcorn as part of the mega deal. I believe it made them $1.49 if you did the mega deal. Great price if you end up doing the M&M/Orville rebate form.

    • CSat

Anyone else having trouble using printable coupons at Kroger?  My daughter went earlier this week and our local Kroger has told her that they will only allow 2 printable coupons per day per Kroger Card member?  Anyone else?

      • ME

Yes…may not shop there again.  I only had 2 coupons I printed.  They were identical (different security code numbers, of course).  They would only let me use 1.  Said they had to be for different items.  I was told they would allow 2 per manufacturer each day if for different items.  They are too much trouble.  Those were the only 2 coupons I had that day.  It wasn’t like I went in with 20….geezzz

    • Falefialogo

Just wanted to add – our Krogers had the huggies holiday wipes.  They were a package in green/red.  Priced at $1.99 (64 count), used the .40 manf. coupon.  The other packages were priced at $2.24

    • Just called my Kroger (Northeast GA). They aren’t on the bandwagon with the whole limiting to two internet coupons, but they did say you can only use 5 like coupons (I am assuming this is per transaction, which is no biggie IMO).

    • Mlbam6

Love my local Krogers.  5 tubes of crest toothpaste, 3 oral b stages toothpastes, 1 reach floss, and 1 package of oral b dental picks all for only $1.54 tax included.  No complaints here!!

      • twiggy

        how did you do it?

    • Staples2215

My Kroger here in Warner Robins Ga told me that it was only 5 “like coupons” and 2 internet coupons also.  My Pulix only allows 4 “like coupons” no matter if it’s on sale or not. I get great buys at both and they are down the street from each other. Also at Kroger my son works there so we get 10% off of kroger items.

    • Amy T

My Kroger (Bloomington, IN) had their Halloween stuff 70% off (excluding candy). I found superhero t-shirts for $1.80. I bought 3 for my son for Christmas. I wish I had thought to pick up a couple for my Operation Christmas Child boxes. :/

    • Amber

Does kroger allow stacking with a store q and a manq?

      • Deanna

No, but most store coupons are only for kroger/store brand items.  If you look at the back of the other coupons that kroger’s send out, they all say manufacturer coupons, so you can only use one mf coupon/item.  Plus they don’t allow e-coupons & paper coupons both, have to choose one or the other.

        • Amber

I received a .65 off breakfast sausage store coupon catalina from kroger and I wanted to pair it w a .75 bob evans manq. So that’s not allowed?

          • Sherryl

Nope, look at the top of the catalina and it will say manufacturer coupon. It really ticks me off that they do that now. The Q’s that they mail out use to all say STORE COUPON at the top, if I am not mistaken, because I know I use to use them with a manf coupon, now the ones that are for Kroger brand and free items say STORE COUPON, but all of the rest of the say MANUFACTURER COUPON.

            • Amber

This one definately says STORE. And it.s .65 off breakfast sausage. I also got a store catalina that is .75 off hot dogs and nowhere on it does it say manuf. So does kroger allow stacking?

Sorry if this a duplicate.  So many comments, so little time.
If you got last month’s FB Cool Whip Seasons Delight coupon, it is included in Kroger’s Mega sale.  I got 2 today for 14c each using the 75c coupon (print limit reached).  French Vanilla was the only flavor our Kroger had.  Hope this helps someone.

Kroger has Schick disposable razors in a 12 pack on sale for 2 for $7.  If you have the $6 off 2 pack coupon you can get 24 razors for only $1.  I know at Walmart people were getting another type of Schick for $1.97 and getting the $2 overage back but the Walmarts in my area are either out of stock or I heard a rumor that the razors were pulled off the shelfs.  Anyway, Kroger may be the place to use that coupon as it expires mid-month.  :)

Don’t know if this has been posted before…  sorry if it’s a repeat.  If you buy $20 worth of Huggies diapers you will get a $5 coupon for your next Kroger trip.  Also, it is piggybacking with another Catalina deal where you buy 2 get $4, buy 3 get $5, buy 4 get $6.  I bought 3 packages of diapers (using coupons too) and got $10 of coupons to use on my next shopping trip!  I also did the Catalina deal with the almond milk and used 4/55 cent coupons making the deal 44 cents for each half gallon!  Both of these deals had blinkie boxes right there for you to make a deal on the spot!
