It’s official — Krogers has put their foot down on couponers, extreme or otherwise. Their new coupon policy was announced on local news this morning: 5 like manufacturers coupons and 2 like Internet coupons. Sounds reasonable to me.
Even more noticeable are the lack of any freebies during the mega sale. At the very least, Carnation evaporated milk, pasta, sponges, Playtex gloves, Quaker snacks, etc. Oh well.
Thank you Jenny for finding the unadvertised deals!

      • ME

Yep…I was shown the policy earlier this week.  However, the store closest to me will only allow me to use 1 like internet coupon and no more than 2 from the same manufacturer (and they have to be for different items).  Lost my business……of course, that was probably their goal to start with.    :(

        • Anonymous

Yikes, that’s unnecessarily complicated! I guess each store can change their own rules at will. When their sales numbers drop, the rules will probably ease up.

          • Anonymous

I personally do not understand it. Kroger acts like they are losing money with couponers. They are paid for every coupon they get. I agree with everyone else Publix > Kroger.

            • Roberts_ccfs

I hear you all…but the better kept secret is Food Lion: they double coupons up $.60 and they price match all the other grocery stores; just make sure you have your circulars with you. Of course, you have to watch the shelf prices of all, but generally, you can get most of your shopping done there…we are in love!

I also suggest that you call their 800 number on their receipt and strongly recommend that corporate brings locations closer to you, especially if there are closed down grocery buildings in your neighborhood.

            • Suziq24153

I didn’t know Food Lion doubled too :)

        • MrsRon

The manager at the Kroger closest to me told me 2 weeks ago that they only take two internet coupons for the same item.  The next week, the cashier told me only one. I told them that their only coupon policy seems to be the whim of the cashier and that I won’t be back.

      • ME

        Oh…and where are you from?

        • Anonymous

          The Atlanta area.

          • ME

OK…the Kroger closest to me is in the Atlanta region even though I am in SC.  thanks

      • Andrea

I saw that story this morning on 11alive. What I found most interesting was that Kroger specifically stated that the change of policy was due to one particular customer who regularly cleared shelves. Kind of strange to change your entire coupon policy because of one person. Even stranger to call that person out on TV. Couldn’t that person just break up their transactions or bring more people with them to check out with the rest of their stuff? I get the reasoning, I just think if that one person is serious enough about getting a deal that they regularly clear shelves….they’ll find a way around the new policy.

        • Guest

It is probably the people in Cumming that are cleaning the shelves.  There is a “Grocery Garage Sale” store that opened up a few months ago. I went to check it out and it very evident that it is run by couponers because all the items are what is on sale with great stacked coupons.  And there are TONS of each item.  I guess anyone can do what they want with the items they buy, but it makes me made when they clear shelves to just go resell the items when I want the items for my family.

          • Anonymous

I’m sure this is illegal. Would the police help?

          • mammamia

Just so you know, the grocery garage has shut down.  The purpose of it was to help people  that were having a hard time.  I knew the lady that ran the whole thing and she was not a shelf cleaner.  She had tons of people that would donate products to her to help with the grocery garage.  It was a very sad day when it shut down.  You have no idea how many people it helped.

    • Wow I was just at my Kroger yesterday in WV, and I had no problems. I used several internet coupons, as much as 4 of the same, and had no problems.

What I don’t get about Kroger is that store was featured more than once on that show Extreme couponing, and now they are mad that people go there with their stack of coupons trying to do what those crazy people on the show do. If you don’t want that kind of business, don’t allow your company to be on the show!

      • Ryan_G_182005

        where in WV?

        • Saint Albans which is about 10 miles east of Charleston.

    • 5higgins

Wow!  My kroger told me last night that they now allow only 5 like coupons. No problems with my printed ones either.  But I have to say I only saved about 45% there and at publix I almost always save about 60-66%.  Gonna have to use kroger sparingly!

      • 5higgins

BTW, I am in Covington GA, 30miles east of Atlanta

        • IDRVS

Which Kroger in Covington?  I called the one on McDonough Hwy and they said that they take 5 manufacturer coupon per like item, per transaction and only 1 IP coupon per transaction.  I only get 4 newspapers/wk but I print multiple IP coupons.

          • 5higgins

Kroger on Salem Road, I am also going to be avoiding this one after dark!

            • Aimee

My Kroger in Powder Springs, GA. Is only allowing 1 internet coupon as well.

      • Anonymous

My Kroger, N ATL area, told me on Sunday they now only allow five like coupons. The cashier was nice about it, but told me next time I wouldn’t be allowed to use more than five for like items. She didn’t mention anything about a change in the policy regarding IP. Maybe there will be no changes in that department. I concur with your thoughts regarding Publix. I always, always thought it was this ridiculously priced grocery store; however, after finding this website, Publix is now the only place I can consistently save over 60-65% minimum each week. I’m so glad my original assumptions about them were proved wrong!

    • JenneyG

Last week I got 2 schick disposable razors which is B1G1 at $5.98 each. I have a coupon for $6/2. They wouldn’t let me use the coupon because the coupon value exceeds the item price. I said it was only 2 cents over and I didn’t care about the overage. The answer was no and sure enough I had them take off the razors. How silly was that.

      • coupons4kids

Well that sucks.  My Kroger allowed me to?!?!  But I had other items so I wasn’t going to really get the money back. Maybe that was the difference?

      • scarieusc

I got my razors too.  They just adjusted the price of the coupon to $5.99 (which is what they were in my store.)  I didn’t have any problems!

      • scarieusc

      • Couponjulie201

That is silly, but every store can set their own rules for acceptance (which kind of defeats the purpose of a corporate policy). I used that same coupon a couple weeks ago, and the cashier just input the actual price of the razors, no questions, no mention of the coupon value. That was fine by me.

      • Linda

You can use that coupon at Wal-Mart.  I think CVS coupon policy says no coupons accepted that exceeds the price of the item.

      • Foxnettles

My Kroger won’t take a coupon for more than the value of an item either.  I have a few of the $3/1 razor coupons, so I was only able to use 1 coupon.  I wish they would change their policy to work more like Walmart and Publix.

    • coupons4kids

Wow. Lots of shocking stuff about Kroger.  That is my grocery store of choice. Actually the only store I get groceries really.  Maybe it is my location? They still double up to $1 and I can use as many coupons as I like.  Now, I can’t say I have ever used more than 4 of the same item though. I am not someone who buys 20 just because it is free or cheap, I typically always limit myself to 4 of an item.  So maybe they have that and I just don’t know, however, I have used MANY coupons at once and at least 10 internet coupons I know on the same trip.  So for now, I still love my Kroger! :)  I hope it changes for the rest of you!  Just because you use coupons doesn’t mean you don’t pay for stuff.  My local Walgreens treats me like I am a criminal and I have never understood that. I AM paying. Coupons are as good as cash are they not!?!?!?

      • ME

        What state are you from?

        • ag

I live in Kentucky and I have never dealt with ruder cashiers than in the Walgreens in my town. I was actually yelled at during checkout – they thought I had purchased more than one of a “deal” from another cashier. Needless to say, I have NEVER stepped foot in Walgreens again and never will. By the way, all of this “lovely” behavior was directed specifically toward the couponers.

          • Tnjcent

I would be pesistent in reporting these rude cashiers to anyone who will listen. You need to go up the chain of command and report what happened. This is a disgrace to all customers alike(couponers or non couponers) and no one should be treaed like this! I have tried to be patient @ Wags and finally patience has won out. The folks there are finally civilized after being reported by others. They are halfway friendly now and even helpful. One thing certain…..I try to not be greedy and clear out the shelves. I have made upto 3-4 multiple transactions for the same item and this does not bother them. I think there are people out there who really abuse this system and they get tired of this. Try speaking with the manager first and ask if you can make upto 2-3 transactions without getting yelled at. Then explain what happened. Ask for his/her manager and proceed. I bet doing this will create an attitude adjustment!

          • Tnjcent

            I live in Murfreesboro, Tn

            • Dee

I live in the Boro Too, I am new to couponing and wondered if there were a lot of people doing it here. I went to get a deal on the hand soap and the shelfs were empty at both CVS stores.

            • Tnjcent

Get a raincheck! Always….there are several other CVS’s in the Boro. There is one on Hwy 96(towards Franklin) and there’s another one on HWY 231 towards Shelbyville. Anyway, the coupons were just put out today and the raincheck will buy you time until they restock. Also, don’t forget Walmart! They will match the price and take your Q’s as well!

            • Mccrary612

Yes, good advice, I got 3 at CVS and promptly went to Walmart for the rest using the price match!

            • Linda

Dee, Yes get a raincheck, however, I live in Smyrna and both of my CVS stores are good about getting more stock in during the week.  I was able to get most of my handsoaps on Saturday actually in Green HIlls.  I sent my husband to CVS on Old Nashville Hwy to get my papers and the rest of my hand soaps.  He did have to get a rain check.  I will swing by in a little bit to see if they have restocked yet.

I’m in Owensboro and I have to agree.

          • Guest

Have you ever considered that they may be purposefully trying to intimidate you so that you go elsewhere and they can either do the deals themselves or save them for their family and friends?  It’s a dog-eat-dog world and your loss is their gain.

My Wags is the same.  I HATE when a certain manager is there.

        • Linda

I am in Smyrna, TN.  We have 3 Walgreens.  The one on Sam Ridley seems to be the most polite about using coupons.  They do prefer that you ck out at the cosmetic counter so as to not tie up the other registers.  The one on Hazlewood – Yesterday I had purchased the Blistex Revive and Restore got my $2 RR.  Then on a second transaction had 20 of the Christmas Gift Sacks and the store flyer coupon, making then .10 cents each.  I handed her my RR and she said “I don’t think it will let you do this because of tax.”  I said “well, if it doesn’t I will get something else also.”  The coupon went thru fine and I walked out with 20 Gift Sacks and paid only .20 cents.

    • Calpurnia78

yes i was told 5 like coupons last weekend. I had one with 6. I never buy more than that of any one thing and like someone else here said, I usually limit it to 4. Too bad that someone was doing that. Publix limits it to 10 deals, which I think is more reasonable. I usually only buy a couple of things at krogers anyway and do great at publix with the BOGOS and store coupons combined with mfg, the green and yellow flyers– and that they take kroger coupons- kroger doesnt that theirs.

    • Cjaj

Now that my Walmart  add matches all grocery stores. I just print whats on sale at all stores and go to walmart. Saves a lot of time!

      • katie

What if you add match something thats in a mega event at kroger will you still hve to by 10 items?

        • Cjaj

I usually get 10 items that are in the mega sale so  I never have a problem.

          • Yes, but they don’t double coupons, so a lot of the deals wouldn’t work at Wal-Mart.  Plus, I consider Wal-Mart even more evil than Kroger.  I am so happy that I never have to go to go in there again can afford to shop at Publix now thanks to coupons.  I refuse to spend 30 minutes in late waiting to be treated rudely by the cashier at Wal-Mart.

        • but you do not have to buy 10 items to get the price, I ad match alot and have never had a problem

    • Mamacrzy77

I just went to the Covington GA Kroger and yes only 5 like coupon.s You can mix and match with internet or paper.  No limit on the internet coupons.  I used quite a few internet ones with no problem.

      • Pkak

        Good to know! Thanks!

    • Lisa

My Kroger also limits to (5) like coupons.  Kroger is at fault since they participated in the fraud TLC show. What did they expect?

They have no problems with someone buying their 10 for $10 items, however they have a problem when you use 10 coupons???

      • Cjaj

:(    It’s getting harder and harder to coupon……

      • Cheryl

        Ya’ll are lucky…my store limits to 2 like coupons….

      • Coupons4deals

I wish my Kroger limited it to 5! On a good day, we only get to use 3 like coupons. And even when you check out the cashiers give you a dirty look. I now use the self checkout just so I don’t have to deal with rude cashiers:(

      • ponygirl19

I too found out about this limiting coupons…. but…. I was informed… I can do multiply transactions…. I know it doesn’t help if you MUST by ten but it certainly does if you have 10 like coupons and want to use them ALL !! :)  PS… I also use SELF check out as to not hold up the other lines !

    • grams

I saw on the comments a few weeks ago that someone bought inserts from California because the coupons had a higher value.  Is this true and if so, how do you get them?

      • Danabond9685

I would also like to know where u get these from

        • SuzQ

Not only are some higher value, they also have great coupons we don’t get!!  A family member in California sends me his inserts.  I don’t know how to buy them, but I do have to say that some of them are pretty exciting!  :)

          • Lilkt384

Try Ebay.  I buy coupons on there in bulk when there are ones I need.  You pay the 44 cent shipping and bid what you need to bid for the others.  I have saved a lot of money doing this.  For instance, I almost always buy cat food coupons on there…10 – 20 coupons bought for $1 or $2 can still save me almost $20 at the pet store even after I deduct the amount I paid for the coupons.

    • Missy

I saved $52 on my Kroger trip Fri.  There was no Crest and no Oral B Cavity Defense for $1 – shelf was cleared.  I did stock up on Del Monte, Cream of soups, and Green Giant Frozen Veggies.  Also,  bought a lot of produce and yogurt.  My Kroger had no problem with my coupons (but I dont think I had more than 5 for the same item).  We are trying to eat healthier so my grocery bill is a little higher than when we were eating junk.  Kroger brand yogurt actually tastes better than Dannon – my family loves it.

    • Gladyking

I hate that Kroger changed it’s coupon policy in Warner Robins GA due to fradulent internet coupons.  Honest people have to suffer along with dishonest folks.  I just take my Kroger ad to Walmart and they match the price and there is no limit on the number of like coupons.  In my office we got together and exchanged coupons; helps to do it as a group.  Love couponing but hate the negative stuff.  But I will continue.

      • Tazzguy748

Which kroger, was it on VA BEACH BLVD?

    • Parkerfamily64

I went to my kroger yesterday and was not able to use two internet coupons that are the same product. Was told they changed the policy earlier in the week and can only use one internet coupon per product. I have a family of six! One coupon per item is not worth me shopping at Kroger anymore. The clerk said it was due to people coping coupons but you are allowed to print two on your computer and I never use more than two of the same coupon. I live in Kentucky.

      • EdelenFamily5

Just left my Kroger in Virginia Beach.  I was only allowed to use one internet coupon, but I could use as many newspaper coupons as I wanted for like items.  I was told the newspaper coupons were manufacturer coupons.  I did ask to see the written policy.  she showed it to me and then said the store can limit coupons any way they see fit.  I pointed out that the internet coupons are manufacturers coupons….just the same as the ones in the paper.  The reason I was given for why they only allow one printed coupon…….they have people who clear the shelves and then resell the items.  I was totally confused, so they are ok with folks clearing the shelves if they are using newspaper coupons but not printed coupons.  I guess that I will have to find a new place to shop, this is too much like work :)

      • Jenngriffin28

I am also, in Kentucky and my store is so difficult. Most of the time the coupons don’t come up and when they do they don’t double up to the 1.00. The sale price is often not attomatic at the register so i have to go and show them the advertized price. Kroger shopping is a pain! Remke Biggs just started B1G1 and you can use coupons on both items this makes for MAJOR savings.

    • Vee

Thought I’d pass along this idea just in case someone finds it useful: I bought an extra 10-count of the 49-cent canned veg from the Mega Event to use later this month when my daughter’s daycare has a food drive.

Anyone having issues with Kroger refusing to accept coupons for Closeout items (i.e. Manager’s Special)?   My coupons have been refused a number of times now and I truly don’t understand what the big deal is.

      • Foxnettles

Kroger in Macon, GA will not accept coupons on the Manager’s Special item.  Hardly shop there anymore..love Publix!!

        • Cookie05creme

Which Kroger in Macon, so I can make sure I don’t waste me time. Thanks

          • Foxnettles

The one in the Baconsfield shopping center; although it seems that every time I go into that store they have a different policy.  I try to avoid it all together and shop at Publix.  Besides, the store is dirty, most of the shopping carts need to be replaced; most of the time you have to walk around the parking lot looking for a cart because nobody seems to want to bring them in AND the cashiers are rude.  I’ve come to the conclusion that that particular store really doesn’t care about losing business.  I live out in the country at the Jones/Wilkinson Co. line and I drive by many other stores just to get to Publix.  The store is clean; everything is organized without a lot of junk in the aisles and the employees are AWESOME!  I can leave there in a good mood; unlike at Kroger; being made to feel like a criminal.  There is another Kroger right across the street from Publix; but I’ve never shopped there, maybe they are better…but for some reason I doubt it.  I’ve had Publix employees tell me they hear a lot of complaints about that one too.

      • Rachelsant

Knoxville, TN Krogers will apply coupons to manager specials. My Krogers just had some Rubbermaid Glass storage bowls on clearance for $5 I used the $1.50 off coupons so they were $3.50 each.

    • Happygirl12379

Just so everyone can be on the look out.  The stove Top stuffing I purchased today had a Coupon for $1.00/2 in the box.  Going to go get me 5 more to donate tomorrow. But of course you have got to cut up your box.  So that should be $2.00 for 5 boxes of stove top if you use 2  $1.00/2 and 1 coupon if you buy 4 you get one free.

      • Kittykat_1502000

What flavor did you buy?  I got the chicken flavor but it didn’t have a coupon inside, so I was wondering if it was a certain flavor that has these coupons.

        • Laura

There is a small note on the upper front of the box that says $1/2 coupon inside. Only saw it on the turkey stuffing version.

      • Anonymous

So glad the made it part of the box.  A while ago when Aunt Jemima waffles had coupons inside the boxes (just stuck to the plastic inside)  there were a bunch of open boxes at Publix where people were opening the boxes for the coupons.  People will stoop so low!!

    • Ms. Susan here from the West Columbia S.C. Walgreens on Augusta Road. Just want to let couponers know that if you would like to recieve Special Deals by email that you wont see any where elese, there is a box at my register to put your email address in. I can do this for anyone interested if you send me your email address to ssnracine@yahoo.com   and you will recieve a coupon for $5.00 off a $25.00 in store purchase via-email just for signing up. I would be glad to do this for anyone interested.

Walmart will price match the mega prices (the 50 cent off price) as long as you buy 10 of any advertised (printed in ad) items.  I went to customer service to confirm this before buying them.  Much easier than going to Kroger!

      • Angelas001

What would I take with me to get them to price match it? Do I need to pick up an ad from Kroger?

        • Anonymous

Walmart does not require that you have a copy of the ad.  They should have one.  However, since you can only price match printed advertised items, I would go to their web site and be sure that the items you want to price match are actually listed in the ad and not the unadvertised ones that Jenny knows about.

    • Anonymous

Fun at the neighborhood Kroger today! Stopped by for extra papers and there was a “get one, give one” offer on the Kleenex. If you buy two boxes, they will send the second box to anyone you wish. The best part — they were handing out $1/2 MQs! They mentioned the mega sale and the Cat that’s printing. Got eight boxes (and 2 Honesteas) so each box ends up $.25 after the Qs and $2 Cat!!

    • Kyralovelace

    • For anyone in the Athens area I just called the Alps Rd Kroger and this is what the front end manager told me:

You can use 5 like coupons per item, including IP coupons.  And you can still stack one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per item. Coupons on your card count as manufacturer.  And the 5 limit is per transaction, per customer, per day.  So if you have 10 like coupons, not only do you need to do 2 transactions, but you will need a second person with you to do the transaction.

Hope this helps someone.  Oh, and she said they’re still trying to get to all the employees to inform them of this policy so if you have issues with it to have them call a supervisor.  But there are still a couple supervisors who don’t know either.  It sounded like there’s a printed policy in the store for employees to read though about the changes so if someone doesn’t know what you’re talking about, maybe mention the memo to them.

Just finished a small shopping trip to Kroger.
      4 Armour Meatballs
2 Kraft 24 slice cheese singles
2 Annies Organic Mac N Cheese
1 Farmrich Frozen Mozz. Sticks (LOVE these, guilty pleasure!)
1 2l Diet Mtn Dew (needed a fill in mega event item)
      4 Bar-S hot dog packs
      4 packs misc. buns
4 cans ‘value brand’ spaghetti sauce
1 pack ‘value brand’ shredded cheese
1 pack ‘value brand’ hot sausage

Paid $32.23 after coupons, saved $25.99.  Had a $2/1 any Farmrich – getting my cheese sticks for $1.99 is a steal!

      • Staci_marie

PS-the 24 slice Kraft singles is on the Mega event @ $2.49 each.  You can load a Kroger Ecoupon for $1/2 making it $1.99 each.  I noticed the Kroger I just went to had a display of the 16 slice packs off by itself, with a big sign:  $2.79 each.  Make sure you get the 24 slice packs…

    • Amanda_G

Quick question…Do you have to buy the ten items in mega event in separate transactions to get five off or can I buy twenty mega items and get ten off in same transaction?

      • As long as it is in multiples of 10. :D But remember they only take 2 of the same printable per transaction. :)

      Small trip to Kroger including:

2 Peet’s Coffees (AWESOME price on these & cheaper than Sbux!)
      4 Annie’s Mac & Cheese
      2 Bumblebee Tunas
      1 Swanson Broths
1 Purina Cat Food (needed it)

With the coffee, especially, this was a great little run. Paid $23. And I never have issue with the Middlebrook Pike Kroger in Knoxville taking my coupons (not even the 2 IPs for $3 each for the coffees). :)

      • Couponjulie201

Oops, make that 2 of the broths. :) Wouldn’t be 10 Mega items otherwise.

Lol, when I went to check out the kid working the register couldn’t wrap his brain around using 2 butter coupons and then another one to get the bread free.  He kept telling me that I had already given him 2 butter coupons and I couldn’t use another one.  I explained twice that the third coupon was for free bread when you buy 2 butters!  He still didn’t get it but manually put $2 in (the max price for the free bread) basically just to get rid of me!  I didn’t realize the amount until I looked at my receipt at home.  The bread was only $1.79!

So happy today when I got my mail.  I finally got coupons from Kroger.  Somehow I made it onto the list after shopping there for 15 years.  My son said he had never seen me so happy.  That was until I got a $3 off $30 purchase from Publix in the next envelope I opened!  I needed this after both of our cars broke down this weekend!  Thanks Kroger and Publix. :)

      • I got my 43 off $30 and was able to print them off the other day. So this was extra awesome. Sorry your cars broke down. Hope things get better for you.

I live in TN and our local Kroger stores are not taking any more printable coupons. Has any one else had this same problem. very depressing when there are so many great printables out there.

      • Aturner527

I’m having the same problem in Northern AL.  They said I could only use 2 total internet coupons in a transaction.  =(  I emailed Kroger for a written policy last week but they have not responded.

        • I was told the same 2 internet coupon limit, and was told it’s sort of like competitor coupons for Publix – each store manager has discretion over their coupon policies. It’s very aggravating, but I will say I sort of understand the trend. I have seen more coupon “cheating” in lines around me over the last month than I ever thought possible. Very frustrating for us honest couponers!!!

        • This is there new policy. Only 2 of the same printable per transaction.

      • Etan999

Kroger sent me store coupons that gave me free Degree Deo, Free Betty Crocker Cake Mix, Free Bag of Kroger Peeled Baby Carrots, Free Colgate Toothpaste. So I decided to do what I call a Coupon Run with my other coupons and southern savers listing. Total before coupons and mega sales was $98.26 – 62.64 (total Coupon savings) leaving me owning 35.62 – a P&G rebate card $10.00 and I ended up paying 25.62. That was a great coupon run!!!! Thanks Kroger for the freebes. =-)

      • Suzy Payne

Thank you Southern Savers,  YOU ROCK on coupon info…. . . . =-)

      • I never get any coupons free because my hubby is an employee…. :/

      • Richable

How are you getting the “free” coupons?

        • Foxnettles

Go online and register your Kroger card on their website.  Takes about 6 months then you’ll start getting home mailers with the coupons.

    • Aunt B

Gallatin, TN Krogers will accept 3 printed coupons per day per customer.

When they are having the buy 10 deal, do you have to buy in bulks of 10 or can you buy any of the 10  items plus any other items that are listed without buying groups of 10?

      • I never get any free because my hubby is an employee… :/

        • Doodleandjimmy

          Awww man! I’m sorry :(

      • Anonymous

I got free butter and free Dole salad! I love when I get Kroger coupons in the mail.

For the 10 deal, you can buy any 10 items that are part of the sale, you do not have to buy 10 of the same. Just make sure you are buying in increments of 10.

        • Doodleandjimmy

Thank you :) I like when they send coupons too!!!

      • Diane

you have to buy any 10 of the items to get the prices listed here.  If you buy 9 you get the regular price for all of them.  If you buy 11, you get the regular price for 1 of them.

        • Doodleandjimmy

          Thank you :)

Does anybody know which of the Campbell’s soups are participating items for the mega event?  Is is just cream of mushroom and cream of chicken?  I have some condensed soup coupons I wanted to use.  Thanks!

      • Staci_marie

Just mushroom/chicken (cream of) as I understand it.

Im new to couponing and all I hear is negative things about Kroger. I live in Arkansas has anyone had any problem here. The last thing I would want to do is get the things on my list then not be able to uuse my coupons.

      • Ragincajun777

        where in ar?

      • Stefanie

I am in Arkansas and I have never had any problems. The best suggestion I have is if you do ask for a manager to double check or explain why something is not working.

I am in Hot Springs and love my Korger they are always nice and again I never have any problems.

    • Mebrazil2

my Kroger has Downey Unstopables on sale for $5.99 and there is a coupon for $2.00 off so only pay 3.99!

    • Vijtai01

I don’t know if anyone before me asked this question, sorry if I am asking again. Schick  disposable razors 12 ct are on sale at Kroger for B1G1 free priced at $6.23. Can I use the schick b1g1 coupon (latest coupon) at kroger and what will be mine total after I use it? Thank you

      • Doodleandjimmy

Yes you can use it. Your total should be around $3.12. When they have a b1g1 it rings each item up as half price, so you can still get one free :)

        • Vijtai01

          Thank you very much

          • Doodleandjimmy

            your welcome :)

    • Andi330

Hi! You have Eggo Waffles/Pancakes/French Toast listed as participating in the mega event but it isn’t in the weekly ad. Where did you get that information?

      • Doodleandjimmy

There is a list you can get from costumer service that has all of the mega sale items on it. They don’t advertise all of the items in the sales paper. I hope this helps :)

        • Doodleandjimmy

          I meant “customer” service lol!

    • Ashleyjamie0520

is the $2/2 softsoap coupon regional? I can’t find it in my 10/30 paper :(

    • Mrs-weah

How do you get Kroger coupons in the mail..??? New to kroger, so im not sure. Please help!!!

      • Doodleandjimmy

The more you use coupons and shop there, every now and then they’ll send some through the mail. I guess they go by what you buy the most of and choose what to send :)

      • Foxnettles

Go online to Kroger’s website and be sure to register your card and add your mailing information.  After I registered my card; it took about 6 months, then I started getting coupons in the mail from them.

    • Mrscori2006

I come to this site to find out what other items are on sale other than in the ads. I used to coupon and visit this site every day & I have couponed for years, (before it was such a “fad”)  I stopped couponing because it was getting to be a headache as there are many shelf-clearers in my area and all I was getting was rain checks. Ever since I stopped couponing I have saved $2000.00 in two months! I was buying stuff with coupons just because I had them. I am much less stressed and am very happy with how much I have saved after letting go of the coupons

      • Doodleandjimmy

That’s why I get couons from e-bay so I only get the items I use :) There are a lot of shelf clearers out there and it does get annoying!!! By the time the item comes in the rain check is exp :( But I will still use coupons because I am addicted, LOL :)

$2000 in 2 months?  And you were using coupons?  That doesn’t sound right.  Maybe you weren’t using coupons effectively?  I can definitely see how one could spend too much and go overboard just because there are coupons.  But if you have truly saved $2000 in 2 months not using coupons, you must have a serious stockpile.

Does anyone know if the string cheese and other cheese sticks are included still in this weeks mega event? I didn’t get any last week, but I would like to get some of they are still on sale. I don’t see them on the list though.

      • Jen

I still see them included on the list.  HTH  (if you don’t want to read through everything to find them, hold down the ctrl button, then hit f.  Next, type in “cheese” in the box that comes up and it should highlight wherever that word is on the website.  That’s one of my favorite things to use so I don’t have to search through everything!)

My Kroger is advertising Jennie-O Turkey for $.59/Lb. with an additional $20 purchase.  (I’m close to the Houston area).
A friend purchased the (12.75 Lb) Jennie-O Turkey.
Original price was $1.39/Lb = $17.72, she paid $7.52 after her $20 purchase.

Does anyone know if this a good price??  I need to buy one soon.  Thanks.

      • Carrie_C

To me, that’s a great price with a low additional purchase.  You might see it get a little lower with a higher additional purchase at another store but last year I kept waiting for a better deal and it never happened.

        • C~~

Thank you, was hoping to hear that was a good price.  :)

    • Laura

It’s too late to help anyone unless you’re shopping tonight but I just got a great deal on a mega item not listed here.
The shelf tag on the regular candle & air freshener aisle says
Airwick Freshmatic refill $4.49 sale price  or 3.99 on the 10 item mega.

But I found a brand new special edition on an endcap across the store called “white collection: white peach & magnolia fragrance” $2.74.
It took off .50 each for mega, and I had coupons for $2/2 from Airwick’s website so I only paid $1.24 per can!

It says 2.74 is the reg price on this scent only, so after tonight that’s $1.74 if you print the $2/2 and that still seems like a decent price.

    • zoeyjane

so just curious about this but at my kroger they are adverstising bic disposable razors for b1g1 and i have coupons for b1g1 . they are  6.22 a peice but they ring up for 3.11 (@half price ) totaling 6.22 which technically b1g1 so whjen i did this last night and used my b1g1 cpns she marked the free price on   my cpn as 3.11 off not 6.22 which was the price of one. so im confused shouldnt both of the razors have been totally free..//

    • Mica188

Does anyone know if I can combine a kroger coupon of $3 off a $15 purchase with a megadeal. The $3 is preloaded on my card. If it can be used is it before or after the mega deal prices?

    • Aug201969

went to Kroger to get some savings and left mad. That store cannot make up it’s mind on their coupon policy. No wonder I like Publix better. Not only do I save more money but they help me take my groceries to the car, I just wish they had savings a the gas pump like Kroger does.
