No acorns…I agree not a Kroger week. I’m having less and less of them. They used to be my primary store. I tried Ingles but the 3 per $10 was just to annoying. Now it’s almost always Publix! Thanks Jenny for doing all the hard work you do and making this easier for us!

      • Sarahh569

thank you tlc extreme coupon show for ruining my couponing…

        • Guest

gee, what a surprise…. media overexposure ruins yet another good thing.

        • Wizbuhk

I hear ya there. I went to Publix on the first day of the sale to get a few things. I never shelf clear because I only get 2 papers each Sunday just to feed my family. I had 2 Q’s to get the Land o’ Lakes butter (great deal at .25 w. Q) and the shelf was already clear……on the first day of sale. REALLY???

          • Lil A’s mom

I never go on the first day of the sale…just wait til they restock a few days later…the selection will always be better than what I get on the first day of the sale…or get a raincheck?

      • Megster77

Unfortunatly I’m in the louisville area and we don’t have a publix or bi-lo or many other grocery choices.  We have a meijer but Jenny doesn’t do the matchup and Walmart doesn’t0 e2v2er3 ++ have many deals.

        • Megster77

oops. my 1 year old was trying to help me type.

          • Jennifer

I live in Louisville too. I use bargainstobounty for Meijer match ups. I use Jenny’s site for everything else (Kroger, CVS, Rite Aid, Wags).

      •  Hey there,
Thanks for the encouragement. Thanks for using Southern Savers!

    • Mandymandy

the strawberries is a good deal good price the deserve an acorn, the srimp too!!!

      • Mandymandy

I meant shrimp!!! and what about the potatoes 8 pounds for 3 dollars

        • MrsJDL

Yeah that’s a deal. We are still working on our 2.88 bag from the Valentine’s day sale. Some of the potatoes were so big I used 2 for a recipe that called for 5!

          • Laura

Us too, jumbo really meant JUMBO. 8 potatoes was 8 pounds. We usually bake about 6 regular size potatoes for 4 people but we only had to use 2 of the jumbo for the 4 of us.

      • MrsJDL

Your right for the Mid-Atlantic, I’m in the Southeast so they are a better deal at Publix this week.

      • Mel

My store had a sign this week, though, that said due to weather conditions they were not able to keep up with their supply of strawberries and they had none in stock.  I wonder if they’ll even have any this week.

        • 1couponbug

          Get a rain check!

    • Thall561

ever since that stupid “extreme Couponing” show came on, my couponing world has greatly diminished! :(

      • ash

i was just discussing this with my coupon friend! i used to live for the sunday inserts and the new sales, but here lately it seems like the coupons nor the sales have been that great. my stockpile is less than half of what it was this time last year!

    • Dtcox1

i think the sobes will be all i need this week need to use up my tickets from nascar before they run out march 2

    • Kalika_313

Publix always has much better deals! kroger you suck! lol

      • WEZZIE29910

BI.LO TO HAS GOOD DEALS NOW

        • Kalika_313

I wish I had one in my area. I have never seen one in GA.

          • Leelee93

They used to be all over the place.  I think there is still one in Thomson, GA but that’s all I know of.  THey also used to be VERY expensive. However, to compete, I think they run some great specials on staples like sugar.

          • Simpkins Lorri

I live in Augusta and there are a few bi-lo stores here.

          • Khjbcoupons

there is one in dalton ga..

          • mamaof1

Sylvania. And millen both hv bi Lo.

      • Lil A’s mom

publix isn’t available here…wish it was

      • 1couponbug

Well, if you don’t have a Publix, you appreciate Kroger a little more! Especially when they double Q’s .60 and under!

      • Jodi J.

You may feel that Kroger sucks, but not everyone does.  I live in a rural area and we have two choices — Walmart and Kroger.  Guess which one doubles coupons, is MUCH more coupon-friendly, keeps things stocked, and has cashiers who actually know their coupon policy?  KROGER — I love me some Kroger.  I used to try to price-match at Walmart, but after one too many times of cashiers being rude about my coupons  I said to heck with them.

    • Anne

Regarding the Chex Mix: There is a Catalina offer running through 3/18 Buy 3 get 41, Buy 4 get $3, Buy 5 get $3.

      • honaker13

there are new .50/1 coupons for chex mix this morning on 3 coupon sites that will double(if your store doubles) making the chex deal a moneymaker wyb 5!! :)

    • Alison

No acorns at Kroger this week

    • Eshanel21

the quaker $5 off of $15 doesn’t include rice cakes, right?  but it’s included in the match-up above…

    • Kate

Milk will be $3.19 for Augusta, GA area (still an OK price).  Does Kroger double their ecoupons (i.e. $.50/1 for GM cereals)?

      • C_hakes

        No they do not.

      • Lil A’s mom

        no

      • 1couponbug

There is a coupon for a FREE gallon of milk on Facebook, when you buy 3 breakfast items.

    • Laura

Saw a flyer at the store that Kimberly Clark is offering a $2,500.00 reward for info on who made a fake coupon for $8/1 diapers 36 count or larger  (I don’t  know diaper brands but I think it said Huggies). Apparently it was widely sold or distributed & they are determined to find and prosecute the originator.

      • Ashley

my friend Steph asked me if I knew anything about this coupon because a lady in front of her at target had 2!

      • Nonnie Mouse

There is actually a reward site posted for Most Wanted Coupon Counterfeits. All of them post huge rewards.

Proof for those who think that ‘cheating’ on coupons really does do significant harm to the companies who both offer and take them.Be honest. Is your integrity really worth only 50 cents? 8 bucks? That’s cheap.

    • Ladyemporer

I love being able to look at the Kroger ad early!  Apparently, Arkansas is about 3 or 4 days behind ya’ll–our ads run from Wed. thru Tues.  It kind of confused me at first, because my ads weren’t matching up-lol.  Your site is really a big help to me as I’m a fairly new couponer.  Thanks!

      • Amy T

Our sales run Thur-Wed here in Indiana! It’s nice having a few days to get all of your coupons in order, isn’t it?

      • 1couponbug

Our ads run Wed-Tues, also, in NE Mississippi. We enjoy the 3-day time to plan!!!

    • sjgsjg

      Yay Kroger!  I got $2 off (2) 24 pk pepsi products, then used $2 / 2 coupon..$3.99 for a 24 pk

      • Bella

I dont get it..how did you use 2 coupons?

        • sjgsjg

My ad (mid-atlantic) had a deal on Pepsi cases on sale for $5.99 but you get an extra $2 WYB two… then I used my coupon, so I only used one with a sale.

    • Traci0322

I saw that the Betty Crocker fruit snacks are mentioned, but at my Kroger, the Ocean Spray fruit snacks are 1.99 with a .50/1q (not sure when this was from, but recent).  Is $1 a stock up price on these?  anyone know?

      • Amy T

I would definitely stock up with that price. In fact, I probably will. Fruit snacks are something that I buy anyway though. I think if you do too, it’s an excellent price to stock up.

      • Nonnie Mouse

I printed the Ocean Spray from Coupons.com just last weekend and I believe they were new then, so they are probably still around.

      • lil A’s mom

yes that’s a good price…i keep waiting for them to drop below $1.50

    • TheCouponQueens

      Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn Bowls 3pk – sale $1.49 $1/2 3/4/12 SS 01/22/123-pk.+

    • Rlinda32

today I got wisk laundry detergent for $2.89 a bottle. The ticket on shelf said on sale for $5.99 then I had a $1 off coupon. Only we got in the self check out line and they were ringing up $3.89 then $1 off coupon so I ran back and got 5 more bottles. I told the cashier and he said whatever the computer says. well I got a great deal.

      • April583

At my Kroger, if it’s priced wrong and you tell them, you get it free ;)

        • ireneY

Yes, normally when it rings up more. This time, it rung up for less!

        •  Your lucky, only Publix does that where I live!

      • 1couponbug

        Yes you did! :)

    • Dtcox1

    • sjgsjg

haha thank you random Kroger shoppers who leave coupons on the shelves and floor!  I found a $2 off Sundown coupon on the floor at Kroger today and got Folic Acid for $1.59…I didn’t think Kroger (or Food Lion for that matter) gave money back but my coupons always seem to go through even though they are worth more than the item.

      • lil A’s mom

         that’s great!

      • LOL i just did this in MI at Krogers! I always leave the Q’s I cant use or trade  at the store on the shelves! Someone  should save the money!!  =)

        • 1couponbug

I have found and used coupons that someone has left on the shelves. Thankful for considerate people like you, Sara!

    • Nan

need help guys 1st time couponer @ kroger wanted to get the simply juice that ends up being free, ask the cashier  how many coupons can double per transaction n she said as many as u have  my coupons did not double than she askes other cashiers n they say its only 5 per trans  i told them i wanted to return the items back, the said i would have to go back 2moro after 8am when customer service opens but that they couldnt do anything because the coupon was already scaned.. Is it true??  help what can i do i got so many bottles and paid alot :(

      • lil A’s mom

why did you think the simply juice should be free?  You can always ask them to take it off at the register and it shows up on the screen as “void”…not sure about the customer service thing…i thought they were open all the time?

        • Nan

well the coupon was a $0.50 it should of double to $1, and they were 10 for 10.. It was my first time n I guess i just got nervous it was late and it was the only register open  and their was alot of ppl behind me . Well idk they said it wasnt..but thanks :(

          • 1couponbug

Did you let them scan your Kroger card? If it was a manufacturer coupon, yes, it should have doubled. If it was a store coupon, those never double. Once they scan your coupon, it will not scan again. Our customer service closes earlier than our store, also, so if I have an issue late at night that the mgr can’t correct, I always have to go back later.

    • Sherry

Libman hardwood floor cleaning system is on sale at Kroger 40% off and there is a $5 rebate on their website.

    • Taylor

There’s a California Pizza Kitchen coupon in the RP 1/29 for $1/1 that expire 2/28!! so don’t miss out on it!!!

    • Jbaxley3

Having a blonde or senior moment…can I stack ecoupons and manufactor q”s?

      • Jen

Not anymore; unless the e-coupon is a Upromise deal.  :(  I miss Publix

      • I just got on here to ask the same question!

      • Lhill2

No you cannot. Ecoupons are manufacturer coupons. Also note, they will come off first. So if you want to use a paper coupon over an Ecoupon, you will have to remove the ecoupon or buy enough to use both.

    • why is this not in shopping list format?  is that only when there’s a mega-sale, etc.  I really like being able to check off, then print, the items I want to buy

      •  Hey there,
Sorry the list function wasn’t working for you. It should be working now.

    • 302799

Just left Kroger (yes, I had mega Q’s expiring today).  Used the “Puff Tissue” Q’s … although the “single box” is on sale, I purchased the one with “3-boxes” … why?  They had $10 of Q’s inside that expire 12/31/12.  HA

    • Wow – I finally had my last meat purchasing experience at a Kroger. We have two Krogers in our area, and I have bought meat that stunk upon arriving home a total of four times between the two stores. This time I bought 5 sealed packages of pork tenderloins, only to get home and open one – smelled like death. Opened the rest, all stunk. Called the store and they said I must have spoiled the meat in the 5 mile drive home. Right. In the winter. Just wanted to share my experience to warn others! The only type of meat I will ever buy from Kroger again is the $1.99lb chicken breast, for some reason that is the only meat my stores don’t mess up… gross.

      • Jane

I’d suggest writing corporate on Kroger.com, just click “contact us.” We have had a few horrible customer service issues at a local Kroger as well. Most of the problem was when we called the store to tell them what happened. They were never sympathetic and it was NEVER their fault (similar to your story).

Anyway, I wrote a pretty upsetting letter, and the Store’s upper manager called my husband and offered a $50 gift card. Not saying this will happen every time, but it’s definitely worth letting the store manager know about it.

He said he was going to talk directly to the people involved, which honestly, was more important to me than the $50.

      • Heather

That’s happened to me a couple of times.  I’m more cautious when buying meat from Kroger now.

    • SuperHubby

Super sweet deal on fresh broccoli. I went to the Kroger on hwy 54 durham. They have broccoli bunches for $1.00 a pop. Each bunch weighs about 2 lbs.

They also have approx 4lb bags of organic baking potatoes in the mark down cart for .99cent a bag

    • Kate

Does anyone ever see Tide 50 oz. for less than $4.99? I am new to buying Tide and just wondering if I should stock up now or wait? Thanks!

      • 1bigsaver

The stock up price for Tide is usually 2.99 or less.  I would wait

        • Kate

Really? That is cheap! Where do you usually see Tide at $2.99?

          • MommyJess

If you got their cart buster ecoupon yesterday you can get it at Kroger for $2.49 this week.

    • Jhelle

      Hi Jenny,
Do you have any idea if the Cartbuster event will be going on next week too? I had some coupons from the Feb. PG insert that I didn’t get a chance to use on the Cartbuster event before they expired!
      THanks!

    • Barre

I know with Kroger you can’t use both a paper coupon and an ecoupon for the same item.  However, I did this evening.  I had a 0.40 ecpn for the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks.  I also had printed a 0.75 off three of the snacks.  The cashier asked me first for my coupons and then scanned my card.  I thought it was a little odd but both coupons were applied.

    • Vern6791

I thought i saw gevalia coffee but cant find it anywhere now, does anyone know where i need to look?

    • Jane

Do ecoupons double if they are 50 cents or less? Or just paper coupons?

      • Shelly

        No, unfortunately, ecoupons don’t double.
