meijer is way better this week coming up….jenny i really really wish you did meijer match ups because i have to use another web site for that…

    • sarahcas

There catalina going on right now for the California pizza kitchen pizzas includes the kind that's on sale. I bought two yesterday with the spinach dip to see if it would print the catalina and it did.

    • Swashdawg

Just getting less and less excited about shopping at Kroger every week. In fact all the stores seem to be tightening up sales and rules. I truly feel the Extreme Couponing show will end up being a huge negative for us regular couponers.

      • Seeallmycoupons

I completely agree….maybe we all need to come together and call and complain like crazy and boycottttttttt the showwwwww!!!!

      • couponshawn

I have been a bit bored lately too with the sales that have been posting… I don't know if it's the effect of the show though because most grocery chains have sales mapped out for months in advance.  The sales are seasonal though and I have noticed an upswing in dressings, picnic supplies, and fresh produce… so hopefully as we swing more into the summer months we will see some more great ads ;)  –Now I have noticed that shelves seem to be BARE within hours of a sale starting these days, and the stores haven't seemed to catch on that they need to ORDER MORE to keep up with demands now… hint hint Publix, Kroger, Rite Aid, and Walgreens! lol

        • Rrbarr

Yes, bare shelves everywhere at every store and couponer crawling out of the woodwork!  I'm happy people are learning to save, but the empty shelves are making me feel as though I am in a third world country……

          • Bee

I agree. I hate that feeling especially when I merely want to replace something we have used up and the shelf is empty. If supply and demand were allowed to work in this situation, the stores would raise prices to discourage shelf clearing. I'm not saying I want prices to go up, but that is always a tool a store can use to control their inventory.

I have never felt that strongly about having a large stockpile because there are too many variables as far as making it match consumption patterns. That's why so many people end up donating items because they realize they have far more than they can conceivably use. I have what I consider “extra” in my home, but by no means is what I have stored an exhaustive supply of every item we use. Thus, I actually do some form of necessity shopping at least twice a month.

As far as the “Extreme Couponing” effect, it makes me uncomfortable to be associated with anything that looks like obsessive behavior, so I have begun assessing ways I can wean myself from heavy coupon use, such as buying in bulk at good prices and going to stores that discount all their products, such as Aldi. The quality is certainly there and the prices are consistent.

          • third world lady

I come from a “third world country” and believe me, i never see empty shelves like i see here many times.

        • Vtthomas

I agree.  I am a little bored with the sales too, but thank goodness I have been couponing for two months now, and I am really starting to see a decrease in what I need to buy now!!  That is a good feeling to help “ride out” these less than enthusiastic sales.

      • SteveB

The problem is that people are clearing the shelves of the “free” or “for profit” items.

There was a deal on men and women's Nivea body wash at Kroger a couple of weeks ago.  I went to two separate Kroger stores every day, but they were always out.  I finally was able to score six of the men's body wash, but the women's were always out.

I finally asked the manager and she said that a woman came in an grabbed the entire stock, and that their supplier was having a difficult time re-supplying the store, as so many people were using the coupons…

        • Peggy

Regarding shelf clearers, maybe Kroger should do what Publix now does and limit the number of deals you can get on one item.  I had that problem with the body wash, too, but Walmart honored Kroger's raincheck for me and I got the body wash for $2.49 ($2.99 – 0.50 mega discount) less $3 coupon, it was a money maker for me!  I'm not sure that all Walmarts would honor it, though.

    • Pork N. Beans

Wow this is really disappointing , my store is having a re Grand opening 5-22 so i hope they make up for this weeks ad ..

    • I saw something last night about coupons on the hot pocket snackers, but I don't remember where or what I saw.  Does anybody know about any coupons for these?

      • Danielle

I bought some a while ago and I know there was a catalina for them.  Not sure if it is available or not.  I am guessing you have checked the database.  I have found that Jenny is pretty accurate at making sure all the coupons are listed.

      • cahugh4

I saw something mentioned online somewhere that Kroger would be either giving 1  free to each customer or giving out a coupon that would make it free, but I can't remember where I saw it.

        • cg

I was at my local Kroger today in Lawrenceville, GA at 3pm and there were no coupons, samples, or signs of there being anything related to them. I was too busy at checkout to remember to ask though.

      • Laureen

I got a Kroger Home Mailer called “Fresh new picks in frozen” a couple weeks ago that has a $1.50 coupon on the hot pocket snackers.

    • Danielle

Most of the ads have been like this for the most part lately.  I am wondering if it is extreme couponing, the time of year, or something else.  I notice before extreme couponing that the coupon values were changing (getting lower).  I figured the “boring” ads were me because there isnt really anything we need, (we are stock piled for several months) except produce, and milk.

    • The economy isn't just bad for us alone.  Everyone is suffering. My guess is that manufacturers and grocery stores are tightening up to get through it.

    • Lorri

I posted this last week but just in case someone didn't see it…Check you receipts before you leave the store.  I bought 20 mega items but they only took, off $5 instead of $10.  I went to customer service and they adjusted it, and I wasn't the only customer standing there with the same issue.

      • Guest

This has also happened to me before, and you don't notice it until after your transaction is complete.  Then you have to go to customer service and wait in another line.  When it happened to me I was told they could only give me a gift card for the $5, not a cash refund for the error.  I went along with it.  But that was the last time I did a big order at Kroger.  It's too much of a hassle for me.  This is why I mainly stick with Publix.

    • carrie holder

I know i had problems with the we before mega event it would not show the 5 dollar off and I had bought 20 items so i sould have seen 2 5 dollars off i aske the casher and he said it was taken off but i just dont know

      • Mickie

On my receipts, they've quit doing the “-$5” at the end of the receipt; they just show “-0.50” with each item.  Each item is still marked with a “[+]” and it shows the total of “[+]” at the end.  I had to ask about it the first time I noticed the difference, because I didn't think I had gotten my discount, either.

        • JessR2

I know – my stores are doing it this way too – I hate it! It's much harder to make sure you have gotten the correct discounts… and since I accidentally bought 11 instead of 10 items, one of them didn't get the discounted price….
          What a pain!

    • Nicole

How do you get the kroger home mailer?

      • Ashhp0613

Make sure you at customer care that your address is linked to your kriger card.

    • Mickie

In my store, Magnum ice cream bars are part of the mega event.  We just discovered these little bites of wickedness last weekend.  Mmmmm….But anyways, they usually run $3.99 for a box of 3.  They're on sale for $2.99, with another 50 cents off for the mega event.  Then there's a digital coupon for $2 off a box.  We bought a box last night for 50 cents!!!!

      • coupon2u

Where do you find the coupon for 2 off?

        • Mickie

It's a Kroger e-coupon.  You can get it on their site; I got it from the Kroger app on my phone.  It loads to your card and comes off automatically.

          • coupon2u

            Great! Thanks, Mickie!

    • Jenney

I usually use the self checkout. Scan a group of 10 mega items first and then push the PAY button, it'll automatically take 50 cents off each item. Then push the GO BACK button and repeat until all mega items are scanned. This way I'm doing it on my own pace and can be sure everything comes out right.

      • I like the self checkout too!

      • Mozella

:) That's the same thing I do Jenney!!! It's less stressful to me that way than going through the checkout lanes and they're checking you out so fast!!!

        • Yokola03

They have to check out fast. Some stores check for cashiers speed. I work for Target and if I go help on register I have to have minimum of 88% of transactions under 1 minute. This is very hard and unfair, but what can you do….

      • cg

Thank you for letting us know this! I may have to try this next time. My cashiers hate it when I check the receipt.

    • Cortney Filler

if you go to wholefoods.com, there is a $1.00 off a ben and jerrys pint! i just printed 2 off!

    • Sebeckwith74

How can I sign up for the Kroger home mailer?

      • Jsbl214

It is not something you can sign up for.  From what I understand, it has something to do with how much you spend on average each month. Once you spend x amount of dollars they will start sending them to you. Hopefully ;)

      • karen

My understanding is the same as Jsbl214…..you get them after spending a certain amount of money at Kroger.  BUT, I'd sure call customer service and ask.  It couldn't hurt.  I have family who've worked for Kroger their entire lives and was told that you get it after spending a certain amount of money.

        • You're right. This is the email I have from Kroger.

          Dear Ms. Holder:

Thank you for contacting Kroger regarding the fact you would like to receive Kroger coupons in the mail. Our coupons are based on many different criteria, spending, frequency of shopping, availability of product promotions, and our vendors.  First off you must have a Kroger Plus shoppers card with you updated information saved to it.  Now when at the store you scan your Plus Card or type in your alternate ID each time you shop which is a key in determining what you may qualify for in coupons.  For you to receive the coupons you have to spend a minimum amount of $200 a month on a consistent basis and you need to consistently purchase Kroger-brand products.

If you have any further concerns, I would be happy to assist you.  I am typically in the office Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm ET.  I can be reached via our Website Support Helpline at 1-866-221-4141, ask for extension 3871831.   Please have your reference number available upon request.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact our Customer Service Center at 1-800-576-4377.  As always, thank you for shopping at the Kroger family of stores.

          Sincerely,

well forget that! i never buy kroger brand unless i'm desperate for something that's  not on sale!!! thanks for posting this

    • stephanie

Call me lazy but I rely on your little acorn icons to tell me when something is a good deal.  I don't see any on this week's list.  Are there no great deals to hunt for this week?  Thanks for all of the time and energy you save me with every post I read and list I print out.

      • Bonjour4paris

The Pepperidge Farms cookies are usually 3.49 a bag, but with .5o or 1.00 off they will be only a dollar/ 1.00 each! ) if your store doubles up to 50 cents, which is a stock up price for me!!

        • Bee

I agree. I love this brand but won't be caught paying full price.

    • milkmanzwife92

The only really good deal at Kroger this coming week to me is the 59cent  32 oz Power Aid/Power Aid Zero.

I coupon and have to organize them, but you won't catch me with a binder in a store. That is the kiss of death around here. A lady with a standard envelop with coupons in it seems easy the coupons stress of the store employees. I have my binder in the car for those un advertised deals, just in case it is something I use.

I worry that double coupons will cease to exist.

My Kroger doesn't do Catalina's so sad. I do fill out my surveys in hopes to win a $100 Kroger gift card along the way. Have a nice weekend savy shoppers.

      • Katkoupon

Powerade is 69c in my area, I'll only be getting a few :(

    • Mel

Oscar Mayer hot dogs for $.75/pack.  Doesn't anybody think this is acorn-worthy?

      • Stacey

got them for .66 a pack earlier today at Wal-mart

      • gagirl1

how is that? i saw my ad in atlanta has them on sale BOGO $4 ($2 each)… i only have a $1/2 q

    • Sunny

just wanted to give a heads up. I went to Kroger tonight to pick up a couple of items and did self-checkout. It no longer let me scan my coupons. It said to hand the coupons to the attendant. I was told they changed the system and they no longer allow you to scan the coupons yourself. I handed them over and didn't have any issues but I'm a bit frustrated with the constant changes involving coupons. I live in KY.

      • Freestuff4cb

It's been like that in VA for a while.

      • IndianaShopper

I live in southern Indiana and prefer to shop late at night. My Kroger only has self checkouts open after, say, midnight.  I went last night to a Kroger I haven't been to before since gas in that area was just $3.65 a gallon and wanted to fill up while I was there (Brandenburg, KY…I usually go to the New Albany, IN Kroger), and as usual I was able to scan my coupons. I'm not sure if this will change soon or not, but I had no problems. Just scanned them all and gave them to the supervisor when I was done.  I HOPE it stay the same, I'd prefer to do my own so I can keep a better eye on whether they scan right or not.

      • Slynch1979

I self checkout in Richmond Ky. I also shop late! As of last week I could still scan my own coupons, we will see, I have not made this weeks Kroger run yet! I hope they still allow me to self checkout! I prefer it and feel like less of a bother to the cashier.

        • Sunny

good luck. I was disappointed in the change. It just happened overnight.

          • LouKY

I live in Lou. KY how do you know when and if a store doubles coupons?  I live in Prospect and shop at Prospect and Springhurst Krogers….Thanks!

    • Sbigham3

Dumb question: What region is Jenny in and how do you know what region you are in? Prices are most always incorrect on some items for me.

      • jhoran

Jenny is in the southeast region. I am in texas, therefore I would be in the southwest.  Easiest thing to do is figure out when your sale starts and ends..so if Jenny's sales start on Sunday, you can compare it to when your sale starts. Also, prices vary state to state, so sometimes some things  might be cheaper or more expensive.

        • Sallyches

I would suggest checking on Sunday when Jenny updates the Kroger ad for those areas starting on Sunday.  My ad starts on T/Wed and if I wait to print coupons alot are already gone.  Lots of Sunday ad shoppers I guess?

    • Lesa_s_wilson

Did anyone respond to Sebeck's question about getting the Kroger mailer? I was curious about that too. I did go to my Kroger card account and noticed that my address was not there. So, I updated my address and hope to get a mailer within the next month or so.

      • Teecee

I think it is related to how much you spend with your card. When I split my shopping between Kroger and Publix, I never got them. Then we moved to a place with no Publix (darn!) so most of my shopping is at Kroger and I get mailers all the time. It may have to do with how much  you spend there per month since they can keep track of that with your card…

    • Katkoupon

My ad lists Simply Juices for $1 along with the Minute Maid, and I have .50/1 any size mq from Diabetes & You (Walgreens magazine), free juice!

      • devgwen

How do I get one of those magaziens?  From WalGreens?

        • Katkoupon

Yes. It's a free magazine I have found near the pharmacy. My store still had these out a couple weeks ago. Page 13.

    • In Christ

Our Kroger does NOT double coupons UP TO $1, say if it's .75, they don't doube up to $1 like many say.  Also, if your coupon is .50 and you buy the item for .88, the double or bonus coupon is only .38…they don't actually double it if it's less than the doubled coupon.  Has anyone else had this happen at your Kroger?   The store policy had said they would double .50 and under and that .51 up to .99 would go up to $1.00…and the note said the store manager could DENY any coupon upon inspection but that shouldn't mean they can actually disallow what their corporate policy is stated online, right?

      • Mrscori2006

I'm not sure which area you live in but I live on the southside of Atlanta and yes, our Krogers only double the coupon if it is .50 or under. They do NOT go up to $1.00 if it is .51 to .99. I've never heard of that….also about the .88 cents item, they will only give you up to .88 cents, no overage.  I'm not real sure about their guidelines  b/c I have actually stopped shopping at Kroger since they have been changing their coupon policy.

        • shops2much

THEY NEVER CHANGED THE POLICY…it has always been the policy not to double dip with online and ecoupons. WHY cant everyone think of it as they got a gift before and now it's just the same policy enforced.

          • Mrscori2006

im sorry all I know is that I have shopped at Kroger for YEARS and one of my last shopping trips a few months ago they would not take a store coupon combined with a manufacturer's. The cashier stated they were starting to take only one coupon per item, period. I confirmed this with customer service and told them I hoped they didnt lose too much business over it. Been shopping at Publix ever since and it's been a better experience overall. Lately Kroger's always out of stock anyway.

            • karen

My Kroger here in SC has NEVER allowed me to use to stack q's.  I don't do very well couponing at Krogers.

            • Greg

I've never found a kroger q to stack with a manu anyway. As far as eq's i don't like them. Now the overage thing….I wonder if the stores know that they are committing coupon fraud. If I buy an item for .88c and I hav a $1.00 q, that .12c should apply to my balance. Because I am sure that when they send that coupon to the manu for reimbursment plus s+h they don't say, “Only pay us .88c for this coupon please”, they probably think nothing of it, but they are stealing from us.

            • jhoran

I believe they were referring to overage on coupons that krogrer double and triples, not the manufacturer coupon itself.

            • Sarahmarah

Same thing happened to me, I had been shopping at Kroger for over 6 years…It really upset me. I had never stepped foot into a Publix store, once that happened I tried Publix…needless to say I only go to Kroger for things I can't get at Publix.

The whole thing really got to me, but now I look at it as a blessing…if it didn't happen I wouldn't have tried Publix! ;) Publix is my favorite store!!!

          • shops2much

I used to be a cashier for YEARS and just because they  ( the cashier ) let it happen and now the system catches and prevents it,,,doesn't make it a change. I prefer to look at it like  a half full situation instead of a half empty situation.

            • Bee

Yes, that's the only way to look at it. You win some, you lose some. However, I have found that since it's no longer allowed (the cashiers at my store always encouraged and endorsed the stacking of e-coupons and manufacturer), I no longer buy certain brands/products at all. I suppose they really had no value to me and I was only “purchasing” them because they were free. The Tide Stain Release is one example. I have never noticed a difference in my laundry due to this product although I have used it in dozens of loads. So, the chances of me ever paying even half the retail price is pretty slim.

Same with a lot of the General Mills products that were free/nearly free as a result of the stacking. I just do without them.

Also, I am now very choosy about which coupons I even load to my card.

            • I'm right there with you, Bee. There's tons of things I see that I could get for free but I choose not to because it's not something I or any other member of my family will use.

And the whole ecouponing thing? I've had a bad experience with it. I had two of the same coupon; one was on the card, one was a paper one for $0.50. I had my card scanned first, and the ecoupon came off, but when I went to use the printed one they said they couldn't. And as everybody knows, the ecoupons don't double. I asked if they could just take off the ecoupon and use the paper one instead but my cashier had a big chip on her shoulder already and said no. So yes, I am VERY careful to check my ecoupons before I go to the store now.

        • COUPONS4SLK

I used to stay on the Southside and they are really sticklers on the coupons. I moved to Marietta and they are glad to do the e-coupon plus the paper manf. coupon, and overages but they will NOT do that up to a $1.00. I inquired about it after I saw it mentioned on here, and they said they had never heard of it.

      • Vkostyal

Yeah my Kroger does the same exact thing!!  I dont know????

      • Ren

That's how it goes at my Kroger, too, unless (usually) we're in a mega sale, then I usually am allowed overage, but then only if the coupon amount is 1.00 off a lesser priced item or whatever…like the Nivea a couple weeks ago.  Coupon was for 3.00/1, mega price 2.49, so .51 overage.  I look at it as .88 off is still free, but that's me.

      • gagirl1

i got into a conversation w/ a manager in atlanta the other day and he said they just changed their coupon policy, but it now allows overage… he actually used the example “if you buy an item for $2 and have a $3 q, you will get the overage” whereas he said it didn't used to do that… i have not seen the policy, and i don't shop there often enough to know. he actually told me the policy changes came due to the “extreme couponers” show.

      • sarahcas

I don't think they have ever increased the value of coupons over 50 cents. And they haven't allowed overage on coupons that are doubled for at least a year (but probably much longer than that). For example, I bought some taco sauce that was 79 cents and had a 50 cent coupon. When it doubled, it only added 29 cents. When the store doubles, that money comes out of their “pocket” not from the manufacturer, so if they double over the price of the item, they lose money.

    • Hey quick questions does krogers bogo allow you to put a coupon on each one. Example Hot dogs are BOGO use 2 $1.oo off ?

      • Ren

yes, you can use 2 coupons on a bogo…

    • Tomorrows paper has $1 off 3 Sweet Baby Ray's. Not the best coupon, but better than nothing especially since that's the only sauce we use.

    • Curby408

Huggies is offering a $3.00 printable coupon making diapers more affordable this week at Kroger!

      • SandyC

I thought it was such a great deal that I bought 2 big boxes for $18.99 each. I had 2 coupons for $3.50 each, and was looking forward to 2 catalinas for $3 each. My luck, they only gave me 1. Beware.

    • H_shorey

Kroger Add-Sweet Baby Rays Bar-B-Q sauces 10 for 10$ and $1.00 off 1 in Tennesean makes it free. :-)

    • Kmd Celt

just learned that Kroger is changing the gas program in KY (it's already in place in TN), and we will be able to use up to 1000 pts per fill up on gas – saving us up to $1.00 per gallon! As far as I know, this will only be at Shell, and it will be all or nothing…use all your points or none of them. What I heard is that the 10 cent deal will stay the same at the Kroger pumps. Hoping to get more info soon!!

      • Megster77

Thanks for posting this!  I am in shelbyville/louisville area and was wondering why I couldn't get more than 10 cents off at Kroger.  I thought is was the Kroger pumps that we could use up to 1000 pts but not the Shell.

        • Barginshopper2

im in grant co we can only use .10 cents at shell but at kroger we can ise up to a thousang i get .50 off all the time if not more

    • angelaky

Don't know about the rest of you kroger shoppers in Louisville, KY but I did great today between Kroger, Wags, and Yes even walmart!  My kroger on brownsboro rd has the Irish spring body wash and soap on clearance (managers special) for 1.49 along with some varieties of Irish spring soap. Soft soap body was as well. If you have q's could be a fab deal.  Also Walmart on westport has the finish quantimatic on clearance for 4.25 and with printable q it is 1.25 12 washes for 1.25 isn't bad. Kroger had these on clearance as well for 2.99 which would make them free but there was only one today so I grabbed it you may want to check your store.

      • Sunny

do you mind me asking if you subscribe to the courier journal and if so, what coupon inserts did you get today? I used to buy the paper at Walmart but just started subscribing since it's a hazzle to run out every sunday to buy the paper. I got my first one delivered this morning and only had the Red Plum insert. The front of the paper stated over $170 of savings inside so I assume there should have been more inserts. I called customer service and complained but the lady wasn't much help, telling me it all depends on zip code and was unable to tell me what I should have been receiving.

        • Megster77

I subscribe to the CJ and got a RP and a SS.  I am in zip code 40067 which is in simpsonville

          • Jcrow185

My sisters live in Simpsonville and they did not have the Sweet Baby Rays coupon in their insert.

          • Sunny

thanks. Wish all had the same inserts  : (

        • Sandy

We use to get the paper here in Louisville but we canceled it because we weren't getting the whole paper and was told the same thing that it depends on the zip.
Didn't have the Sweet Baby Rays coupon either and the ribs where $3.49 a lb.

          • Sunny

thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to cancel the paper again. I wish ALL papers had the same inserts.

        • angelaky

I bought 3 papers at walmart today and I got both rp and ss. Well I think I just changedd my mind abou subscribing.

        • Scott

The Courier will have both in there if you buy it in the store.  The problem I am running into is that people go in and buy one paper and then they search thru other papers and pull out the coupons and put them in the one they are buying.  This is illeagal and ethically wrong. If you need all those coupons, but the paper.

Now I have talked to the CJ about the coupons not being in my home paper.  They told me that they are looking in to some of there delivery person for pulling them out.  They have found two so far, and are looking into more than just that one.  If you don't get your coupons, call CJ and they will start making sure your area has in it and then will call you back to make sure you got what you were suppose to.  Since I called, they fixed my issue and now i get them all(but I do have a new driver…hummmmm)

    • Mkilgore

$1 off for a 1,000 points is the same thing as 10 cents for 100 points at the pump.  Isn't that the same thing?

      • mandy

I think the difference will be for someone like me who has 300 to 400 points expire each month.  If my points are about to expire I think that I could choose to use them to get 30 to 40 cents off a gallon instead of them expiring and never using them.  That is what i am understanding at least.

      • Missy

No, it's NOT the same thing…it's $1 off per gallon if you rack up 1,000 points in a month, versus just 10 cents for 100 points.

        • VAisforAveeno

$1,000 in one month???  Who is the world spends that much on groceries?  I thought the object was to SAVE money!

          • PSCmom

I agree. Even though they give you points before coupons at a 90% savings you would have to spend $100. I can't afford to spend that much in one month on groceries at Kroger even with great sales.

        • jhoran

You are wrong…Laura is correct..I thought the same thing as you did, but that's not how it works. I got gas the other day and had over 400 points and it took .40 off each gallon. I thought the gas pump made a mistake, but I came to find out that's how the new program works. Also, this program started on april 20 for us in texas..the day they stopped doubling and tripling coupons.

      • Laura

No, before it was 10 cents off per gallon PER gas purchase.

For example if you had 300 points you would have to get gas 3 different times to use them all. Now with 300 points you can get 30 cents off at one gas purchase.

So it's much better for people like me who don't use a lot of gas, now most of my points won't go to waste the way they always have before.

      • CLee

The difference is they max you out at 10 cents per gallon. So if you have 350 points it'll only take 100 and you'll get 10 cents off. You don't have the option for it to take 300 points and 30 cents off. So if you rack up a ton of points its possible to not get to use them all and eventually lose them.

        • Momiedawg1965

I had 500 fuel points and my Kroger here in Dechered TN let me take .50 off per gallon.

    • in Middle TN Sweet Baby Rays is a $1 this week at Kroger and there is a $1/1 coupon in the smartsource coupon insert in our area… making it FREE

      • cg

In Atlanta, the Sweet baby ray's coupon is for $1 off 3. I'm jealous ! LOL

        • Greg

The State paper in SC is $1/2.

          • Greg

Also my local Kroger ad is BOGO on the BBQ.

        • Dtcox1

in v a its 1.00 off two but is a dollar each

        • ng

Try Food Lion, it's BOGO and w/2 coupons, 6 bottles comes out to $.50 each.

        • Cayoung_8

I got the AJC and didn't get any of the sweet baby ray's… what gives?? I don't understand how I get the AJC and someone else gets the same paper and we have different coupons… it's not like you get the AJC and I get the Athens Banner Herald then I would understand there being differences… but I have had to start typing out my own “variation” list because seems like every week my insert is different from the posted AJC variation list.

          • It's on the front page of my SS. I have 4 of them, but I will use those. I may get more tomorrow, though. Where are you? I might be able to meet you and give you some if I get extras.

      • Damned you *shakes fist!**

My AJC had $1/3. I am super jealous as that's the only sauce we use…. ever.

    • Khjbcoupns

was tempted to break my boycott  by some of the deals at krogers  this week.. then darn.. there it is again.. cigs advertised on the front page and much bigger in size.. so maybe i can compromise and shop there on the week (s) that they DONT advertise cigs…

      • Kim

I was disappointed seeing that big cigarette ad, also. I think it used to be illegal to advertise cigs. like that.

        • Khjbcoupns

yes kim i thought the same thing .. however from what i have read recently krogers is skirting the law .. they can advertise as long as at least 15% of the readership is above 18 years of age… its so hard these days to tell what % or readers are above 18.. when these laws were passed most all retailers fled as far away from cig advertisements as possible.. that is why we stopped seeing them advertised… krogers is taking the pulse of the consumers to see what they will tolerate… i see it  as a bad practice fueled by greed.. i am so thankful that i have a choice as to where is spend my money..

          • disguisted

I wish they would remove the alcohol from the ad, too many people are being stupid and drinking and driving and killing innocent people, at least with the cigs, it's only affecting the person smoking, besides if you don't wanna be around the “second hand” smoke, don't come around, it's not like anyone is forcing you to breathe it in.  If they wanna out law anything, it should be the substances that impair ur judgement, and ur ability to drive and act sane, meaning alcohol.

            • Lcline29

Don't forget prescription drugs.  Even over the counter things like benedryl can effect you, especially when misused.  My husband has two relatives who abuse prescription drugs and have caused an accident each.  They disgust  me.

            • disguisted

              I agree.

            • Babette711

LOL, let's all find something negative to say.  HUMMMM.  Why do they advertise frozen food and soda, gosh.  Too many people are obese, and these things just add to the problems. MY goddness.

            • Annaelizabeth8287

              That was great!!

            • Femsista

LOL! Well said Babette! Amazed what some people can find to complain about. People have to be accountable for their purchases and choices, NOT the retailer. I  stay amused at the things people come up with on here.

            • Bee

Children of smokers are forced to breathe it.

            • Mrscori2006

I don't think they need to advertise tobacco OR alcohol–the people buying those products will pay whatever price they are. It's not like smokers and drinkers are sitting around waiting on the “right price” for a pack of cigs or a bottle of booze! He-llo!

            • Khjbcoupns

yes i agree mrscori2006… the buyers are hooked and will pay any price.. thats why i think that krogers must have gotten a great deal on the cigs and is now trying to get rid of them in a hurry… they always advertise the same brand of cigs..why dont they advertise salam or virgina slims…they advertise the brand that they need to make the most money off of…..

          • Femsista

LOL that is the dumbest thing I have ever read! GREED? Really? You're on this forum trying to figure out how to get as much from Kroger for free as possible using coupons, and you're saying that Kroger is greedy? Come on! People are dumb enough to purchase cigarettes. Kroger isn't making them. Trust me, Kroger isn't going to miss your coupons or your money if you feel the advertisements are too much for you to handle.

            • Khjbcoupns

my using coupons to lower my grocery bill is not greed…and i have not been contacted to be in the next extreme couponing show…  and it doesnt matter if krogers misses my coupons or purchases….i miss shopping there..

            • Kpbell3

              That was extremely rude.

    • Cindy

I couldn't find a coupon for anything but Goldfish on the Pep. Farms site???

    • Nursebeth1031

I am new to this, but been doing pretty well so far.But I was just wondering, where is Jenny located? Because I am in middle TN and have noticed that alot of the deals don't match up with what she posts…..love the website, just wish everything could be more cut and dried to make it easier???

      • Dixie

I think she might be in Alabama, but I am in middle TN, and you are right, they are not always the same.  In my opinion, I think Kroger here is a little higher on average, but my publix is usually a little lower than what the ad says.  After a while you'll probably get more used to it.

        • Renee

No, she and her family live outside Columbia, SC.  I run into them sometimes and have gotten to tell her in person what a blessing she is!

      • Rrbarr

I believe she is in Atlanta GA.

      • PSCmom

She is located outside of Columbia SC

      • Abbielou02

Ha ha, I don't think anyone knows where she lives!!

      • Bethany

She's in the southeast region.  Middle TN is in the Louisville region, so our ads are a bit different.

      • jhoran

        Florida panhandle

    • My Kroger in East TN did NOT have the Milano Melts so I planned to price match at Walmart. Got to the check out @ Walmart and the cashier said she coudn't price match b/c when the paper says “Assorted Varieties” they can only take whast in the picture(Which was the Chessman cookies). We bantered back and forth and she finally called a manager over who didn't even let her get the question out of her mouth when she just told her to do it! Wish they would put a coupon policy at the register so they are ALL on same page!!

      • Abbielou02

Our Wal-Mart has their Coupon policy at EVERY register! I just noticed that yesterday, And I read it and didn't see a thing about “Assorted Varieties” and such, Good for you on fighting it!

      • Thylace22

        lol  lol
        lol for the day

    • Jewell1077

When do you post the mega events and unadvertised deals for Kroger?

    • Karaleanne723

I have a question about the Kroger Catalina coupons… It says manufacturers coupon at the top but since it is only redeemable at Kroger (unless a store accepts competitor coupons) is it considered a store coupon? Can it be combined with a true manufacturers coupon?

      • Abbielou02

They are always treated as Man. Coupons for me. Sometimes you can cut off the end that has the logo, just make sure the bar code is still on it

    • VAisforAveeno

Well, I tried the triple coupons at Harris Teeter yesterday.  Got $67 for $31.  Was disappointed that the prices here in VA are higher than what is posted on here.  They were also out of a lot of stuff. I really wanted my Smart Balance oil and couldn't find it anywhere!

    • Lmw285

Does Kroger double the coupons that are loaded on your Kroger card off of their website or is it face value?

      • Jen

        They don't double sadly :(

      • Grandiva730

no kroger does not double electronic coupons

    • Sunny

Stayfree on sale at Kroger. I went there to pick up some Kotex Pads as they were advertised in todays paper for $2.99, regular price is only $3.07, so not a great deal. I noticed that Stayfree were on sale for $1.99 and I had a $1.50 Catalina coupon which made them 49 cents. Just thought I share if anyone else needs some.

    • Toy4vt

Christiansburg, Va Kroger has Vlassic pickle items marked down. We needed relish which was 10 for 10 & the jars had .55 cent coupons attached bringing down to .45 per jar. Much better than 2.29 retail.

    • Dtcox1

jenny keep up all the work and time you put in this saves me alot every week its always very close in price.  in v a for us bless you girl  loved your work shop thank you

    • Inferno4915

How do I get a Kroger home mailer?

      • Grandiva730

kroger randomly picks shoppers and sends them a home mailer based on their shopping patterns and item selections

    • I hardly see anything I want… maybe the juices. Argh not a good week for me :(

      • Dtcox1

me too maybe .10.00 worth this week glad im stocked up for now have a great day

    • Tyedyemomma

My Kroger has Excederin 24 packs for 1.99 with a 1.00 off peelie on them!

    • Lcline29

In middle TN Kroger has Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce on sale in their ad 10/$10 and there was a $1 off one bottle in our Sunday smart source coupon booklet…makes it free.

      • Rainey993

Does it make all of them free? Or do you have to have 10 coupons?

        • Jessmender

You have to have a coupon for each item that you buy.  A 10/$10 deal at Kroger does not mean that you have to buy 10 of the item – you could any number of them.  It just means that they are $1 each.

          • Tyedyemomma

            I saw that too.

          • Aday837

Mine wont let me use say ten of the same coupon in one transaction. I can only use one bq coupon even if i got ten bottles. I already desided to shop some were else now.

      • Shawsgirl2004

The coupon I got was $1/2.

    • Kepodom

I am going to Disney World this weekend, and everyone know how much you spend there.  So I went to get a 250$ gift card for DIsney World that I will use for food.  And this week they are doing gift card x4 gas points, so  I got 1000 points rights there, so I will get 1.00 off gas!

    • Cccorethers

      I went to Krogers (Buckhead, GA) on my lunch break and picked up a few things 6 – 1/2 gallon milks (.25 each), 5 – suave deordorants (1.00 each – used 5 – .50 coupons) 1 – carefree pantiliners (1.00 each – used 1 – .50 coupon)

      Total spent w/tax – $2.12

      • Steffensen03

How did you get the milk so cheap?

    • The Gortons frozen fish are not on my local ad this week. Does this mean that it won't be on sale in my area?

    • Rainey993

I have a question. If I load my Kroger card with e-coupons than I have a coupon for the same item from the paper can I use it also? Lets say Kroger had a e-coupon for hunts ketchup and then I had one from the paper can I use it also?

      • Jonesad21

No. Their computers will no longer allow a paper coupon to scan once an e-coupon has been applied to your total. Watch out, because e-coupons do not double so you can sometimes miss out on a better deal with a manufacturer coupon. However, store coupons (that are paper) will still apply.

      • Sorry, Rainey, but the answer is no. Be very careful when using your e-coupons. I had a bad experience one time where I had that same coupon for $0.50 and item on my card and my coupon. I scanned my card first, and attempted to use my printed one, and the cashier (who already had a bad attitude) told me I couldn't use it. E-coupons will also not let you double, so I was out that extra $0.50. Grrr.

        • momof4

Just tell them to void out that item and take it out of your bag.  If they aren't going to give me the best deal I can get then I won't buy that item at their store.

      • my kroger allowes me to use both.. so i guess it depends on your kroger wont hurt to try

      • Dtcox1

in v a kroger no longer will stack as of may 1 sorry —–but i swiped off all mine on my card but free ice cream and use paperones or out of the paper then if i dont have any for a item then i put it on my card . like the double better and know what im paying

      • Most will not allow stacking anymore.  If you think you have a paper coupon that is better than the online, then ask the cashier to scan your plus card after scanning your paper coupons.  Therefore, you get the doubling on the items you have paper coupons for and get to use the digital coupons for the items you don't have paper coupons for.  If the cashier says that you have to scan plus card first, then explain to them why you are asking them to wait.  You are not going against policy to scan plus card after.  Good luck.

        • Eric

There are times that if you have them scan you coupons first, then your card, the system will go ahead and use your ecoupon.  To do that you must have then scan the paper coupon first

      • Lisabluedevil

As of May 1 they no longer allow both an e-coupon and a paper coupon.  e-coupons will not double either.  I only use the e-coupons if they are greater than .50 and I do not have a paper coupon.

    • Crystal

The Knoxville, TN Krogers has their Green Giant Boxed Vegetables for $0.65!

      • Mslonas

I saw that!! Im in Maryville, and they also lowered alot of the mega frozen event items like Ore Ida fries for $2.00 now, instead of $2.25 like before!

      • Bee

The Aunt Jemima frozen pancakes, etc was $1.05 and the Hot Pocket snackers were $1.16.

      • SchoonCR

I found .75 hotdog coupons on their facebook page, fyi

    • Jenn

Does anyone know how long it takes for the coupons to show up in the savingstar account?  I bought stuff last Thursday and it still has not shown up.

      • Mary

I bought stuff the 9th and my account still says $0.00.  :(  It does say it can take a month to show up.  Since they are the same as upromise and it takes a while for things to show up there and because it's new, I'm guessing that it might take some time.  Has anyone contacted them?

Also, I just looked and there is a new coupon on savingstar for Tombstone.  I still have the free coupons for those so yay!

      • Bianca

I am experiencing the same thing. I checked out their website and the FAQ. Here is what I found:

How quickly do my savings post to my SavingStar account?

        Your
savings will typically post to your SavingStar account between two days
and two weeks after your purchase, depending on how quickly stores send
us purchase data. In rare cases it can take up to 30 days. SavingStar
is actively working with retailers to post your savings as quickly as
        possible.

How will I know that I’ve received my savings?
        All savings
will be posted to your SavingStar account empowering you to track
exactly how much you’ve saved over time. We’ll also send you an email to
alert you when your savings post.

Hope that helps! I'm telling myself to just be patient.

        • Lisabluedevil

I've had only one post so far, but I figured if one has posted more will come.

    • Eric

I bought my Bounty with a $1/1 coupon and there was a pack of coupons in the bounty pack that has $30 worth of coupons.  Absolutely worth the 5.49 I paid for 6 big rolls of papertowels(needed at my house)

      • Daqr11p

Can you tell us which coupons were included?  Thanks.

    • Adam

I noticed the deal for huggies items, buy $15 get $3 back but I checked my kroger and I didn't see that deal advertised.  Am I missing something?

    • PC

I just had a problem at Kroger.  I went through with the coupons that I had printed and the lady at the u-scan told me that she couldn't take the coupons because they didn't have bubbles behind the expiration date.  Has any one else had this problem?

      • Jmeyer0227

She may have been new, because I've never even heard of that.  Where did you print the coupons?

        • Dar11p

I heard about this the first time last week.  My sister told me it is a new way they are preventing coupon fraud.  On color printers it prints very light yellow bubbles and black and white, prints very light gray bubbles.  I look at all of my printables now and the bubbles are indeed there.

          • PC

I don't know if it is my printer but none of mine show up with dots.  I am afraid to take them back in.

        • PC

I print them from the sources located on southernsavers so I know that they are legit

    • Angrich

I too am frustrated at Kroger right now.  I just went to the store and when I went to check out, the cashier saw my coupons (a modest amount, I think) and the first thing she did before even greeting me or anything was say “we aren't going to have any complications are we?”  What is that supposed to mean?  I really follow the rules and only get the product on the coupon that the coupon refers to (size, etc). Frustrating!

      • Dar11p

My reply would have been “not unless something is wrong with your computer/register because I AM an Honest couponer.  I have used this is the past and some of my cashiers know me so that does help.

      • Kpbell3

That was just rude.  The cashier may have issues with her computer when processing coupons or might have had a rude couponer come through.  Regardlesss, it wasn't you, and she should have been polite.

      • Bee

I would have been tempted to say, “Whether there are complications or not, you are still paid to be here checking me out.” Or I would just back out of her line, go to another one and then tell the manager on the way out why you can no longer use that cashier.

    • Lisabluedevil

Today I went to Kroger and tried to buy 4 cans of Pedigree dog food using a $1 off 3 Q and a B3G1 Q. Should I have been able to use both?  The online coupon policy does not address this.  I could swear I've used both a B1G1 and $ off Q to purchase 2 items before.

      • Dar11p

Yes,imo, you should have been able to use both.  On a similiar note I saw Rite Aid's new coupon policy yesterday and they are no longer allowing a B1G1 with a paired B1G1 but they will allow a cents off on the one you are buying.

      • devgwen

Wouldn't you have had to buy 6 cans to use both coupons.  One coupon requires the purchase of 3 cans to get 1 free and 1 coupon requries the puchse of 3 cans to get $1.00 off.  You were only buying 1 extra can on the B3G1 deal that didn't already have a coupon applied.  I'm totally frustrated with Kroger too, just saying I think you needed to buy 6 to use both coupons.

    • Penguinfan157

I am in KY and my Kroger has the Chi-Chi's salsa on sale for $.88. There was a $.50/1 coupon in the 5/15 news paper so it will double to make the salsa free!

    • Lgoward2001

here in raleigh, nc our oscar meyer hotdogs are on sale for .99(limit 4)  so i used1  $1/2 and  2 $1/1 coupons to get 4 packs for $1.00!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Ashleylelani

I also live in Raleigh and was able to get 6 for .99. I also used the $1/1 for oscar meyer selects and $1/2 for any oscar  meyer. Loved this deal.

        • LilysDad0823

where'd you find the $1/1 oscar meyer selects?  do you know which date?

    • Kcanseco

Does the huggies deal have a limit per visit? Like if you buy $30 worth will you get 2 $3off??

      • LilysDad0823

you'll only get one $3 off per transaction over $15.  If you're buying more, you're best to split it into multiple transactions

      • Me

My friend tried it and it didn't work.  May have just been our store though. HTH

    • Ashley

What is the zip code for the oscar mayer coupon?

    • SarahWr21

Today I went to Kroger on St. Andrews road in Columbia, SC.  I noticed on my receipt that some of my $0.50 Man coupons did not double.  The man in customer service said that it was a problem they have been experiencing lately but he didn't know how to help me so I'd have to call back after 5 to talk to the accounting manager.  When I called, the Manager told me that they will no longer double Man coupons that state do not double on the coupon.  She said that this is a policy with all Krogers not just that one.  I told her that made no since to me since almost all Man coupons say not to double, that it is a discount that is given by the store, not the distributer of the coupon.  Although I'm very upset, they are still the best place to buy meat, so I will still have to shop there, but I will be limiting my purchases.

      • Steffensen03

I had the same problem with the bilow on saint andrews. The one towards irmo.

    • Khaddock2005

Does anyone know if Kroger runs the same deals as their sister store, King Soopers?

    • Scrappin_terri

I have to say I am just about DONE with my Kroger in Springfield, TN!  I stopped in yesterday for some last min things for my daughter's graduation party.  At the check out, I was told that they are in the process of changing their coupon policy and will only accept 3 printed coupons per customer, not per transaction.  Needless to say this completely thru off my total purchase.  The lady behind me had an overflowing cart and was just as upset as I was.  We asked if they had a copy of the new policy and were told that it was not out yet.  I cannot understand how a company can change the rules without any notice and then act like you are breaking the rules and trying to steal from them.  They make the same money whether I pay full price or use a coupon!  Ugh, Publix is out of my way but it seems to be the ONLY store in the Nashville area that wants to work with couponers!

      • Steffensen03

There is a publix opening up in Clarksville TN very soon. You can also go to the kroger in Hopkinsville KY. This way you don't have to pay food tax. You would spend a little more on gas money but Hopkinsville gas is a lot cheaper than TN when it comes to gas prices. You could always fill up before driving home.

    • afwife

Being a NJ native, I really do appreciate the cost of groceries in the South (for us – Virginia and SC) I never experienced Kroger when they used to have a great coupon policy, but compared to my friends and fam in NJ, I know I am making out much better then them when it comes to coupon policies in general (not comparing cost of living).   Off to my VA Kroger :)

    • Shellycrutch2

      I need a tuna coupon
