If the Kroger Fiber One Bars are 2.50, can you take that price to your local publix and they honor it PLUS accept coupons on that item?  I have a $2 off publix coupon plus a .50 cent manufacturers coupon?  That would make it free right?

      • Melissaallen31302

OR does it have to be ADVERTISED AS THAT PRICE??

      • Melissaallen31302

And..will they honor the price if you have to be a “member” of that store to get the price?

      • Barbe

I don’t think Publix will price match. WalMart might, but I don’t know if they’ll take the Publix coupon.

        • Chris

I asked the other day at Publix and they said they will not price match (here in Smyrna, GA) despite acknowledging they are a competitor and taking Kroger Qs.

          • Melissaallen31302

Just called the Pooler, GA Publix and thats what they told me too.

        • Melissaallen31302

you are correct, they do not Price Match but they will take Kroger coupons.  Don’t do any good though :(

        • Melissaallen31302

And, I just called my Wal-Mart (Pooler, GA) they will accept the advertisment price but will not honor the price if it says “with Card.”  So I think the lesson is to call your local store and ask them as well as print out the policy to bring with you to the store.

          • MCC

Wal-mart is supposed to price-match even if it requires a loyalty card. Their commercials advertise that fact. My Walmart price matches Kroger’s “buy 10” mega event prices but they don’t require me to buy 10 to get that price. I would bring that to their attention.

            • Chris

Funny – I saw a commercial that said that too.  After everyone was saying their stores would price match but not take Qs then that evening a commercial came on that said they would match any price from any ad and still take Qs – and you didn’t have to have the ad.  Disturbing that they have a national TV marketing campaign yet their employees have no clue.

            • Donna091960

In KY, so does mine.  I just dd the Tide deal where Krogers had it $5.99, buy 2 with card and it made it $4.99.  I called Walmart and the customer service mananger state “as long as the price is showng in ad, they will honor it”.  They did. $9.97 box of Tide for $2.99.

      • Tammeadows1

I got the fiber one brownies at Publix today they were b1g1 so i use the 2 off and 2 .50 so I paid 69 cents for 2

    • lparks

I found a tearpad at Dollar General.  It was coupons for $3 off 3 Kelloggs cereals or poptarts.  It says dollar general on it, but it DOES NOT say redeem at… but it also does not say manufacture coupon on it.  It does however give the kelloggs address for the stores to mail it in.  Can someone tell me please if this is a store or manu coupon? Thanks!

      • Frances

Look at the UPC. If it starts with a 5 or a 9, then it is a manufacturer’s coupon.  You may want to cut off Dollar General if you can.  Some clerks may get confused and say it is a store coupon.  My Kroger does not accept competitor store coupons (Publix does).

        • lparks

          aaaggghhh the barcode is 003800091836

          • Traci

I have those same coupons and I also had the same concerns about them. However, I took them to customer service at Publix and asked them if they were real coupons. She scanned them to check them out and they went through. She said if they wouldn’t scan, they couldn’t take them but they did scan, so they are real. HTH

        • momto2

I also have those coupons. I asked at customer service before using them. they ok’d the use of those coupons at both of my Krogers stores. However I went back later in the week to get more cereal and a different manager was there. He would not let me use them. It was so embarassing. It seems like something goes wrong every time.

      • Traci

        BTW, they are Man, Q’s

    • Katkoupon

My ad show Frigo and Sargento String Cheese for $3.99 -1mq from Krger home mailer…is $2.99 a decent price for string cheese? I haven’t bought before, but I am looking at different ways to get my 3 year old to get more calcium, since she is having a hard time adjusting to the taste of cow’s milk.

      • Karmah60

Have you tried Orange Juice?  You can get it with calcium added.

        • Katkoupon

           Didn’t think about that, thanks!

      • Amanda

My 3 year old loves the chewable multi-vitamins.  Although, he loves milk too.  Does she like cheese?

      • kellyhouse

the Spaghettios also had a 49 cent “plus calcium” kind.  but it depends on how many string cheeses in your $2.99 package.  i have seen some string cheese or cheese cubes that came out cheaper per pound than regular cheese – but that was at WalMart.

    • Mel

Ooh, I must have missed the Betty Crocker potatoes last week.  Haven’t seen those on sale in forever.  That and Life cereal… stock up time on those two items this week.

    • AmyLeigh540

I am in Va and my coupons came out today (Sat). There are Kandoo 50 cents off flushable wipes that would make the wipes 49 cents also. Has anyone had any problems with doubling the Heluva Good 50 cent coupon? Just wondering if I am going to have any issues with it. Thanks.

      • Frances

Both of my Heluva coupons doubled fine.  FYI They did not scan and the clerk had to input them manually.

        • krazyklipper

I went to Kroger today and got totally upset.  I had 4 internet-manufacturers Qs for Spaghetti O’s and they would only accept 2 per order.  Also, I had 3 of the Heluva Good internet-manufacturers Qs and they would only let me use 1.  The manager was called over and she said that the number on the Heluva Good was the same # on all 4.  I told her that I had not copied them, as I know that is illegal, but she still refused to take them.  From now on, I am going to ring up my mega-event items in a separate transaction.  I am so tired of things not adding up right — that seems to be a common issue, as the lady at the service desk stated that they actually have a special bar code they scan to fix that problem.  I may soon scrap Kroger!!

    • Frances

Copying from someone else’s  post last week: Revlon tools catalina $2 off any tool. I started my string of them with
free emery boards last week. They were on sale for $1 use $1 off coupon.
You just need to buy one tool to get the $2 catalina. I have turned it
over 10 times now for cheap or free files, clippers, and tweezers. I had
a very understanding clerk who did 6 of them for me in a row.

Today, I bought nail clippers for $1.80 – $1 coupon and received the $2
catalina.  I bought 2 more sets and only received one $2 catalina (so
you may want to do multiple transactions).  I did not try rolling the
catalina’s since I need to do more shopping later in the week so I don’t
know if they are rolling (meaning I did not use a $2 catalina to pay
for my second and third sets I bought and receive another $2 catalina).
These will be a wonderful addition to my Samaritan Purse shoeboxes!

For new couponers, a catalina is a $ off coupon that prints at a
separate printer from the main cash register receipt.  Make sure you ask
for it because some clerks just throw them away.

      • Deanna

I was at Walgreens and used a Revlon Catalina coupon (actually 2, I had a $1 & a $2 that were expiring) and it printed out another one, so it must roll.

    • Pork N. Beans

Wow looks just like last or the week before or the week before that>…..t

    • JrCouponator

Disappointed.  I planned my mega around the Suave & Jimmy Dean deals.  None of the Suave coupons apply to the shampoo/conditioners that are on sale.  And the Jimmy Dean D-Lites are not included in the sale so that didn’t work either.  Oh well…

      • Blueyes664

me two i went to 2 stores in both 30 minutes from my house.Very mad about it.Does it go on sale Sunday??

        • My store in Richmond, VA had the Professionals on clearance for $0.71!

          • kellyhouse

Didn’t see that in the Rittenhouse Drive location.  Maybe it’s store specific.

      • Jenny

i was thinking of using those suave q’s but was hesitant coz they were not the kid’s or the professional kind, which is what the q’s say. thanks for your post, i woun’t even waste my time going to kroger to buy them. i guess my q’s will go to waste.

    • Blueyes664

Anyone no about the Suave stuff one ad says until the 20th and I went to 2 stores in Ky no sale. When I look at this ad it starts Sunday??

      • Hannah G.

I am in louisville ky and last week the REGULAR suave was on sale not the kids or mens suave that is for the coupons. Last week its said could use coupons too but then the kids/mens were not .79cents.

      • Kaelaj89

Where in KY are you? I was going to be makign a trip to the Krogers in Middlesboro that doubles but if it isn’t on sale maybe I won’t. Thanks!

    • jonathan

i have noticed lately that i think these coupon and adds are really not matching up, i have really done all kinds of running around the last two weeks and there not matching up i don’t know whats happeing with southern saver lately they must be over worked….sorry

      • Melissaallen31302

I agree I have noticed that too.  And I just started on the site so its really confusing to me.  I know regional prices are going to be different but several things are not matching.

        • Khjbcoupons

generally speaking they do match up.. you have to make sure that you have the greatest valued coupon listed in order to get the rock bottom price listed… i had this same feeling when i started on this site..

      • Sandy

I haven’t had any problems in my area. Not all Krogers run their deals from Sun-Sat some are Wed-Tues and Thurs-Wed. Check your add before you go to the store people. Couponing does take a little work on your part as well.

      • It will depend greatly on where you live.  The ad that I use is for the South East region that covers stores in Georgia and South Carolina only.  You will still find most of the items on sale in every other region but the prices are always slightly different.  If your issue is not having the coupons listed, that’s because every city gets different coupons.  I’m about to help that problem with a new change coming tonight to the coupon database…

        • Trish

I’m not complaining at all!  You are a wonderful person to do all you do for us and we thank you!!!!  I always plan my trips after viewing my local ad and comparing to your suggested match-ups.  Works like a charm.  May God bless you and all you do.

does kroger ever has a triple coupon week? just wondering.

      • Tammeadows1

I have never seen it and I been shopping there 20 years

    • Egartung

I am in Murfreesboro, TN and found .50 peelie stickers on the Hormel pepperoni that are good towards a package of the Hormel Natural Choice lunch meat. That makes them only 1.49 after coupon and mega event!

    • Batya

Is it me or does this week look exactly the same as last week?

      • guest

Mega events always last two weeks.

      • Tammeadows1

I thought the same thing! disappointing I already have all of these deals

    • Khjbcoupons

i got a home mailer from krogers with some nice coupons in it a few weeks ago.. one coupon said ..redeme only at krogers.. . however the bar code starts with a 5… i tried to use this coupon at walgreens and they said it would not go through their system… i suspected that it caused the register to ding because it was for 2.00 off .. does any one know about these coupons and if they can  be used at other stores….

    • Jelischer

not to be miss leading in match up i know the difference,  kleenex on sale for a dollar use a coupon that makes it free that can no way even be used is not matched up.  i went to two different ingles stores and the kleenex that was on sale was ingles brand and you can’t use a kleenex brand coupon that is 50 cents off a three or one three pack that’s not matched up.  i am finding alot as i print and go to the store with my matched up coupons, then get there and i’m like wow this was a waste of time.  i am not in no way dissing this site or anyone behind it, i have been helped and look at shopping in a new light and that is thanks to jenny, i am just finding alot of coupons that cant be used with the product that is quoted.  the only thing i can say is as you get your sale paper double check before you go shopping.

Has anyone used Catalina mfq coupons at other Catalina retailers?  I have cat’s from Wags, Krogers, & Harris Teeter ($1/product, etc.), can I use them at the other stores?  Like if I have a $2/paper towels from Krogers, can I use it at Wags, & use one I got from Wags at Krogers?  Thanks for your help!

      • Teecee

It’s probably going to depend on the store and whether they’re paying attention, but I’ve used ones from Kroger at CVS  and Food Lion with no problem.

      • Mary

I have with no problem.  As long as they manufacturer coupon. I’ve used them at Target, Walmart, Kroger, Food Lion, etc.  I did once have a cashier at Food Lion tell me they didn’t take coupons from other stores but once I pointed out it was a manufacturer coupon, and she scanned it and it went through, I haven’t had a problem since.
I actually use a lot of coupons that Kroger sends in the mail at other stores since they are manufacturer coupons.

    • Mary

My SS from this morning (8-21) has a coupon in it for 50 cents off 2 Dole 4pk fruit cups.  After they double, you get two 4pks for 99 cents each.

Years ago my Kroger did triple coupons once every quarter or so.  They would only triple up to 50 cents but man I got some deals!  I called corporate to find out why they don’t do it anymore.  They told me they replaced it with the 10 for $10 and 88 cent sales.  I’d rather have triple coupons!

    • Courtney

Has anyone run into a situation where their Kroger won’t double a coupon that was printed off the internet?  This happened to me yesterday, and i was unaware that this was a policy.  The Cashier said they are not supposed to take them, but they will, however they won’t double them.  I asked if it is a policy with this store or company wide, and she said company wide.

      • AmyLeigh540

I am going to my kroger this week in Harrisonburg Va and I will ask prior to getting my groceries. I have recently only had coupons from inserts but I do have some internet coupons this week , so I guess I will find out this week. Thanks for the heads up though. My kroger changes their policy from minute to minute….

        • Caroline

Good luck!  I’m in H’burg too and I’ve found that most of the people that work at Kroger are very anti-coupon.  Disappointing because I really do spend a lot of money there.

      • Crgrayray

My Kroger does not even take internet coupons anymore (I live in Houston) They stopped this back when they stopped doubling coupons back in April. I don’t shop at Kroger unless they are doing the mega event.

      • Sandy

The register automatically doubles the coupons. How would it know if it was an internet printable or not? The cashier is very confused. They definitely double (if your area doubles)

My Kroger won’t double either.  They also no longer will let you use a store coupon with a manufactured one.  And you cannot use both a manufactured with an ecoupon.  Man, do I love Publix more each day!

      • My Kroger in Mechanicsville VA recently stopped doubling internet coupons also.  Only reason I know is because I was watching the screen to make sure everything doubled and my paper ones did but not my internet.  When I questioned it, I was told they no longer doubled internet coupons.  Makes for a lot less deals.  I rarely go there anymore unless it’s a great sale and I can use paper coupons.  Very sad…

        • Chris

I was just at Kroger in Smyrna, GA Monday and they doubled by Internet printables without issue.  So it looks like it may be something regional OR they could still be rolling it out to stores.  Unfortunately this will mean shopping at Kroger even less than I already do – Publix will definitely be the place to shop.

Pillsbury frozen biscuits are not part of the mega sale at my Kroger in south Georgia. Anyone else had any luck in finding these as part of the mega event?

    • Proudeodwife13

      • Deblburn

I am in Knoxville, TN. The Carolina Pride BOGOF sale is an awesome deal this week. The smoked sausage, little smokies, and lunch meat are all $3.99 BOGOF which is $2 each. Pair this with the $.50 Q which doubles to $1, you get them for $1 a pack. Also, the bacon is $4.29 BOGOF, after $.50 Q doubles, the bacon is $1.15 a pack. The bologna is $2.49 BOGOF, after $.50 Q, bologna is only $.25 a pack. These are great stock up prices and these meats all freeze great.

      • germangirl

Thank you, I totally missed that. I need bacon. Great price!

      • Heather Cobia

Thanks for breaking down these prices. Can’t wait for my next Kroger trip!

      • Chris

Thanks for the reminder!  Went in Kroger this AM and got my bologna that I still had my raincheck for (10 for 10) plus the other lunchmeat and bacon then added my Libby veggies.  $11 for $50 worth of stuff after Qs and tax!  Great morning.

Let me start by saying, I know everything is regional and expect differences in sales and coupons.

But before going to Kroger this week, please use the circular before you plan your trip.  I just got back and  just about everything on my list was differently priced- drastically different.  I did not check my circular before I went.

I also had problem with my match-ups from the SS 8/07

    • Jaydendaddy

hey i just wanted to let you guys know Kroger in tn has the pamper prints for 6.49 a box with Kroger card (19.99 )without. I used two 2 dollar off coupons and got both of them 11 dollars and change.

    • Kaitlyn

Kinda bummed out with the Kroger by me. I go Sunday mornings to the stores to get the deals bright and early to grab a couple of deals (sadly, my town has been hit with the extreme couponing craze so I’ve learned if you want anything, go on the first day)
but now I’m finding that all the shelves are constantly cleared. I wanted to pick up two of the chip dip, and found all the shelves completely cleared. I wish Kroger would put some kind of limit on an items like Publix did.

    • And8203

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but a lot of the SS 8/07 match ups I found in the General Mills coupon insert for that week.

There is a Kroger e-coupon for $0.75 off Kashi frozen pizzas, which are part of the Mega Deal.

    • Looking For the Naked juice .. my kroger has it as part of their maga 10 event is there any coupons out there for it???

    • Melinda Kozo

I just came back from my long summer vacation from my home country and got back into my US daily routine when I realized that the Kroger deals site lists the Louisville area produce and meat deals as well, where I live. Thank you very much! I don’t have to look at the paper ad or other website for the local deals anymore. For me this was so far the best website for the coupon deals but now I love it even more. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

If anyone bought the minute rice ready to serve single, check the top of the package..I found .50/1 coupons…making them .29 cents this week! I also found a kandoo wipe coupon for .50/1 in the smartsource from 8-21-11 making them .49 each!

I couldn’t seem to find the Minute Maid OJ in the Mega Event in the ATL Kroger ad. Has anyone confirmed that it is indeed included? Thnx!

      • Anonymous

FYI I went yesterday and it is NOT included.

      • Anonymous

I just bought some today (it is a new, clear bottle, different size than I’ve seen before).  It wasn’t in the fridges with the doors with the rest, it was out in a floor fridge, the open kind.  It was $3.49/$2.99 mega).  HTHs

I had a really hard time finding it too, but it was in the middle of the milk section.  The varieties were a little strange and it was a smaller size than usual.  I think Publix has it on sale this week too.

    • if you are a fan of metromint water, it is on sale as part of the mega event in some krogers.  this is the first time metromint has allowed it to be on sale!  normally 1.49 each, the mega event makes them .49!

    • I always mess up on the mega event sales because with two children in the cart, i tend to get distracted. So, as usual, i miscounted two items that I thought were part of the mega event and didn’t notice until I got home. So, has anyone ever gone back with their receipt to correct the error in order to redeem the mega event sale?

      • karyndontcry

yes, but they wanted to see the actual items

      • Anonymous

I know the feeling! I went today with 2 kids in tow. At the bottom of your receipt it tells you how many mega event items were rang up. So, I always check this number to make sure I got multiple of tens and then I head out of the store as fast as possible! They will probably let you exchange your two nonmega for megaevent items and then give you a $5 gift card (or credit the $5 to addtional purchases). Definitely call and speak to the manager (not a manager on duty either– the actual manager). He/she will probably be willing to help. Good luck.

      • Jenny had a great idea in her Kroger video, take bags along with you and bag them in groups of 10 as you go.  I do this and try to designate an area of staging until I get to 10.  I know counting to 10 with children is very difficult :)

      • ashhp0613

They will let you purchase the extra items in thesame week as the mega evet. They have a barcode to scan for this purpose. You will purchase two more items and pay for it with the $5 you would have been given at the register.

    • Yipeeee! Got the 2 Milo’s jerky treats for dogs (2) AND we got $1.00 back (it printed as a separate coupon at the end of the transaction!)

Why do I get so excited over $1.00?????? … LOL … Luv it! :D

I’m a bit confused about the ecoupons and Cellfire coupons. I realize they are tied to the Kroger Plus card, but do they double and can they be used more than once? For instance, if you were buying 5 sticks of deodorant and there was an ecoupon for .50/1 would it double to $1/1 and could it be used on all 5 sticks of deodorant or just one? Thanks in advance.

      • Anonymous

No, ecoupons and Cellfire coupons do not double and they can only be used once.  You have to have your card loaded with 5 ecoupons to receive the discount off of all 5 products.  Understand?  Am I saying that clear?

        • Anonymous

Thank you. They always trouble me, and I’m afraid to use them if I have paper coupons, worrying that I’m not going to get the best deal. So, click the coupon five times if you’re planning on purchasing five items.

is it just me, or does it seem like the stores are on to coupon users….there are only two things on sale this week that i have coupons for….and we never get the coupons in our inserts that we are supposed to get…..i am getting frustrated:(

    • Has anyone had any luck on the GMills $5/5 ecoupon.  I went to it and it was not even there-electronic or printable.  What’s up with that?  Am I missing something?

    • Anonymous

Can’t find the $1 off Edwards pie Q on the link’s site, but they have a “Special Occasion” thing you can sign up for. It appears to provide you with a coupon for a free single.

I stopped by kroger to get just a few items. I used $4.00 in coupons.  When I got home, and was unloading my tote bag, I found that the cashier had put my coupons in my bag, I am assuming on accident.  She scanned them all, so I got the discounts for them.  My question is this, What should I do with the coupons?  I wasn’t going to drive back to the store that night to turn them in, it was late and I didn’t want to waste time and gas for a cashiers mistake.  I decided to take them in to the office next time I went there.  As I thought about it more, I wondered if the cashier would get in trouble for this when I tell them what happened.  I don’t want to get anyone in trouble, but then again her drawer must have come up short, so she probably got in trouble for that.  I won’t use them again because that would not be right.  Should I take them to the store or throw them away?

      • Anonymous

I would return them to the store next time as that’s they only way they can get reimbursed.  Unless you also give them your receipt, they probably won’t know which cashier messed up.

      • MK

Call the store ASAP so they will know and she won’t get in trouble. They store # is at the top of the receipt and the cashier name is at the bottom.  If you don’t call the same day she could get in trouble when they go to close out her drawer for the night. Then you can take them back the next time you go in there. I had this happen before and that’s what I was told by CS when I called.

Energizer 4 pack batteries were $1.88 a pack and I had a $1 off one cpn that expires the 31st. Tag said sale ends tomorrow, sorry it’s kinda late, I saw it at checkout yesterday.

    • I went todya and grabbed six suave shampoos and four kandoos, only to find out the kandoos don’t actually count towards the mega event at my store. Boo!!

    • MK

So is the Carolina Pride not a good deal. Didn’t see an acorn?
