Kroger Logo

Kroger continues the P&G mega event in this weeks ad starting 9/4 in most southern regions. I have added all the unadvertised deals both in the mega event and those around the store that are continuing into the list already.
Being a holiday weekend I don’t think I’ll make it to the store tomorrow to find others so please leave any comments of extra deals that you find so that we can all find them too!

Hi! I don’t think this was advertised, but my Kroger had $1 off eggs when you purchase tabasco sauce. The coupon was on the egg carton. The Tabasco sauce I baught was the small size, $1.43 and I had .75 off tabasco sauce of any size. I don’t remember where I got the tabasco sauce coupon.

    • Jodi J.

At my Kroger (central KY), the Kroger brand Classical spaghetti sauce (16 oz. bottle) is listed on the shelf as being on special for 1.00.  However, there’s an endcap with the same product listed for 0.50, and they are ringing up at that price.

      • Anonymous

Thanks- I’m in Owensboro and will check it out.

    • Laura

Sat they were loading lots of back to school to the half price clearance bins. Not sure if there are any good coupon matches. Sharpies, Bic, Pentel, Crayola, binders, lunch boxes, backpacks, insulated water bottles. There was a tearpad for free Kraft mac&cheese wyb $5 of crayola.

They also had appliances on clearance: toasters $8, toaster ovens $15, sorry I don’t recall the prices on coffee makers, electric skillets or other items.

    • so i called my kroger just a few minutes ago asking about the overage with coupons …. basically i didn’t want to go up there and buy the febreeze warmers and not be able to get the overage….  so the guys said they don’t do the overage… so FREAKING upset :/

      • Anonymous

I really think it depends on the cashier.   I just bought two of the warmers on Friday at my Kroger and got the overage from both.   I don’t even remember it beeping or anything.  Even if you don’t it still makes them free and then I used the receipt and the UPC and turned it in for the Noticeables trade up rebate so  I will get another 3.70 back.   So it might be worth trying it you can even find them.

      • lms

I think getting something for free is great!  Careful not to be greedy – just enjoy the free stuff!  Lots of other things in life to get upset about that are more deserving of our concern.

      • April

Back when my Kroger had the Air Wick freshener starter kits on clearance, and I still had the $4 off coupons, the cashier that I had said that the computer would just round the coupon down to the actual price of the item.  I was fine with that, but, when she actually scanned the coupons (I had three.) the computer actually did take off the full price of the coupon.  I had some other items that absorbed the overage, so it worked out well.  If you still need some staples, like milk, meat or produce that you’d pay for anyway, it may be worth a shot to see.  You’ll still have free warmers!

      • you do get the overage because the warmer rings up for 2.70. When you buy 4 at the end of ur transaction it takes off the $4.00. Then you have them scan ur coupons it does work.

      • Mclaughlin Rebecca

Yes they do,you just have to have enough you have to buy to balance it out,did it last night at my kroger’s had to pay 3 cents for my groceries!

      • Anonymous

My Kroger is the same way. The register adjust the coupon or the double amount down. Say I have a 1.00 off coupon and I am buying something for .98. The register will change my coupon to .98. If I have a .50, the .50 will come off and then the double amount would be .48….

      • Mrscori2006

Not trying to be ugly, but just pointing out–wouldn’t getting them for free be enough? Basically you are saying you refuse to shop at a store that won’t PAY you to get things for free with coupons! No wonder all these stores are changing their policies. I’m a fellow couponer and support saving money, but come on people. Everything in life isn’t free+ “overage” !

        • barbara

but- does the store not get the overage?

          • barbara beall

            I’m  talking abt a  q that wasn’t doubled-but resulted in overage-such as the frebreeze  $3 q-thanks

        • Chris

That’s not the point.  They are receiving the face value, plus handling, for each Q redeemed with the manufacturer.  That’s like saying it’s OK for me to buy something from the McDonalds $1 menu and pay with a 5 but they get to keep my change.  It basically the same concept because coupons are considered a form of tender for retailers – they treat them just like cash when counting a drawer or during handling in the cash office (because they are just like cash for the store).  Granted it’s not enough to get worked up about because you can always take your business elsewhere – but it certainly doesn’t mean it’s OK for them to keep the overage as part of their profit.  It’s would be naive to believe they’re telling the manufacturer they redeemed a $3 Q for less than the face value.

          • Mrscori2006

Without the coupon I’d be paying full retail price, so to get something for free or even really cheap, I’m not going to complain that the store is not giving me 5 cents back (or whatever) from the overage. It’s really not the same as paying with cash because coupons don’t cost me any money. It’s essentially a “gift” from the manufacturer. I just meant that some folks make themselves sound like the companies “owe” them $$ when they are already getting a product without having to pay a dime for it!

            • Chris

Actually the coupons did cost you – you had to pay for the newspaper to get them right?  That’s still a cost.  And it’s not a gift from the manufacturer for purchasing their product – it’s an incentive to get you to try their product, keep buying their product, or switch from a competing product to theirs.  I don’t think it’s a gift at all – if the product gets too expensive and I can’t ever get a good deal on it then I’m absolutely going to be looking to replace it with something else of comparable quality at a better price (like I did several years ago when I switched from Cheer Free to All Free).  They know consumers do this hence the incentive.  If you change how you think about coupons this policy of retailers adjusting coupons would bother you too.

    • leaz

If you buy the bounty paper towels, check the bottom of the package. Some have a coupon inside for $1 bounty napkins.

    • Laurenzomac

Anybody had any difficulty getting the ecoupons from Upromise?  I log in and cannot find the things above.  Is it a regional thing?

      • Chris

Click on the Coupons & Deals tab then click on Grocery eCoupons (below the tab bar second from the left next to Overview).  That will take you to the eCoupons page.  Remember to have your grocery cards setup before you go shopping.  HTH

    • Mstw

I was in my Kroger this morning and was told by the front end manager that Kroger sent them an email last week that they have changed the coupon policy. Now they will only double one of a coupon… say for example today I had (3) $.35 off dial coupons, they would only double the first one used, the other two would only receive face value. No where is this posted and it is not on the website. I tried calling home office but they are not there today. Has anyone else heard anything like this?

      • Trisha_maki

That is the same way freds dollar store is in my town. We were doing several did transactions but now they have limited to only one transaction. Doesn’t surprise me with krogers, because I did hear from my local, the managers are getting mad with ppl ordering so much stuff they get for free and then cleaning the shelves too all at once.

        • Mistym820

I say so what!  I have worked retail and I know for a fact that they are selling merchandise at a 88% mark up on average.  They get reimbursed every pennny for the face value of a coupon and they are only cutting their own throats by trying to limit how many they will double.  Print you a copy of te policy and tae it with you.  There is nothing more irritating than doing all your homework and compiling your coupons to frankly get screwed at the register by phony policy!!!  They chose to start doubling and if they do as you say then i will not shop there and others wont either.  That will trickle down to their precious bonuses and maybe then they will have a real understanding of why we have to use coupons!

          • Trisha_maki

I know right?!? Technically with using coupons we are just getting it for the price it should be! I’ve also noticed in the past few weeks the stores in my area aren’t offering that great of deals. I used to go couponing 3-4 times weekly. Now I may go once a week. I’ve noticed the coupons are not as good as they used to be either.. Ive heard coastal papers carry better coupons. Does anyone know?

            • kimmie

Once the big coupon show started…the coupons did start being alot worse. I have used coupons over 20 years and that damn show makes me sick. It has ruined alot of things for people that used coupons to save money…not to clean shelves. Another thing that all the new extreme couponers don’t even realize is that not only have they started lowering the coupon amount, they have uped the groceries amounts. So, for people that are clearing the shelves now….you are pretty much “not getting a great deal”  Come on….talk to some of the extreme couponers that have been around, or that have been on the show…I betcha they don’t do it near as much now….

          • Chris

Standard retail markup is very much higher than grocery store markup.  Most grocery stores have a profit margin of 7-10%.  Their big money-makers are household and HBA products – they can mark those up and pad their profit margins more.  But I agree that it’s time Kroger learned a hard lesson.

      • Mclaughlin Rebecca

No that would be awful! I hope and pray not, mine all doubled last night at Krogers!

      • Enjoy getting at least one doubled or tripled. Our Kroger in Houston will not double or triple anything. They started this in April. You probably will not find this on their website because each store/area can do as they please. All of the Houston stores will no longer double and triple.

        • Anonymous

My shopping at Krogers will go way down if this hits KY.  I may as well just price match at WalMart.

      • TnSara

We have 4 Krogers in Jackson, TN…. a manager at one of them said the same thing…. but haven’t heard anything like that from the other 3….. so I will just shop at the other 3 until I hear different.

        • Vanessakelly1978

I live in Jackson please tell me what store said that so I wont shop there anymore this is getting to be nuts. Thanks in advance

    • JoR

There is a catalina printing for pampers- buy $10 etc and get $2-5 back. I spent over $25 and got a $5 off man. q!!!

    • Trisha_maki

I think I need to move lol. In my krogers ad the febreeze isn’t listed. And several other really good deals that has been on here recently have not been at mine either. The Aussie or herbal shampoo at mine is 1.99 wyb 4. I still got it cause you can’t beat .99 cents after coupon for shampoo. But it would’ve been nice to pay only .77 cents.

      • Rainbozbra

I made a trip last night and everything is not listed in our local ad either. It seemed like all P&G items were part of the sale when I got to the store. Thank goodness. I was able to get a few extra things.

    • Clark7371

Last week during my visit to Kroger the cashier refused two of my coupons because she said I had online coupons for those items.  I knew I didn’t because I checked my e-coupons before I left and was very careful not to have any online coupons for items I had paper coupons for.  I told her I should not have e-coupons for those two items.  She checked the receipt, and no e-coupons were used for those items so she went ahead and took the paper ones.  So everyone be careful on those – somehow their registers are rejecting paper coupons for e-coupons you may not have.

And my Kroger (Gainesville, GA) had signs on all registers – limit 6 of each item with a coupon.

      • Crystal Tompkins

I saw that too. The only problem I have with that is for gatorades and yougarts. I have 3- 17 year old boys that all play basball, and my husband is a lineman. We (they actually) go through about 60 gatorades a week and about 30 yougarts a week. However, when they have gatorade on sale and I have coupons (or even if I don’t have coupons) I call ahead and tell them how many gatorades I would like to purchase. They tell me what day to come in and who to ask for. My gatorade is pulled from the back and it is a wonderful way to handle this. The Gainesville, GA Kroger ROCKS!

    • on the PG deal can u get the $4 off more than once in same trans?  (if i buy 8 items will i get $4 twice of just once?) thanks

      • Mclaughlin Rebecca

My Kroger’s let me use unlimited. But when I asked before hand most said you could do 4 each time, with each person allowed to do 2 transactions. I thought, well I can do 2 and let my two teenage boys do 2! With my Kroger card and keychain cards….

      • Anonymous

I have asked at each Kroger and get a different answer each time so it was trial and error for me.  So far, i have done the Mega deals in groups of 4 and have not had a problem.  I have done the current one with P&G (4 items – $4), and also when they have the $5 off 10 items.

I found Vicks items on the clearance isle at my Kroger in Franklin, TN.  I got 3 DayQuil Cold & Flu Liquicaps (20), 1 NyQuil Cold & Flu Liquicaps (40), 1 btl NyQuil Cough, & 1 btl VapoSyrup Severe Congestion, and a pack of Field Cheese Hot Dogs for $.44.  I used (3) 3/2 Vicks Coupons and (1) $.50/1 Fields Coupon – we’re set for cold and flu season!

      • TnSara

I found them in Jackson TN on clearance as well…. I bought 2 nyquil, 2 dayquil and 2 children’s triminic for ) $0.44/ea also…..  unfortunately the cashier had to see my DL b/c the register flagged it (state law for meth prevention)…..  we just laughed!!!!!

        • Anonymous

I got ALL my items for $.44 total – I love their clearance! And I was surprised by the requirement to show my DL too….

    • Taylor Tidbit

Pepsi is actually $0.31 (buy 4 makes them $0.86- there is a blinkie next to the products- $0.55q
      at least in McDonough, GA

    • confettiLauren

My Kroger (Chester, VA) likes to markdown kitchen gadgets…I was able to find a Ball starters kit for $2, and used a coupon on top of that.  I was so happy, until the cashier says she bought a Keurig for $14!!!  I could have died!  The store mgr. decided they wanted them gone, since noone was buying them at regular price.

      • Anonymous

        I have Keurig envy…..! :)

    • Mmo321

Found Pampers Prints Diaper Box on clearance at the Hermitage, TN Kroger marked down to 6.99 box (size 3, 66ct).

      • Anonymous

By Walmart or the one by the hospital.  Both of those Krogers are in Hermitage.

    • Today I did the P&G sale, I got 2 Old Spice & 2 Secret deodorants, I also got a Herbal Essence shampoo & condition & I got 2 things of Gillette body wash, I had 1.00 of 2 for the Old Spice, Secret & Herbal Essence. For the Gillette I had a paper coupon for 1.00 off one & I also had an ecoupon on my card for 1.00 off once, since I bought 2 I assumed both coupons would work, but it did not take off my ecoupon, does anyone know why this is?

      • EB

Kroger does not allow stacking of ecoupons an paper ones

        • Mrswhetstone

but it’s not stacking if she bought 2 body washes and has one paper coupons and one ecoupon, right?

      • I had the exact same problem with the Gilette body wash.  I bought 2 and had an ecoupon for $1 off and a paper coupon for $1 off.  It took the ecoupon but not the paper.  I brought it up to the cashier and she said “It says digital coupon already applied”.  I told her that I bought 2 and the coupon should have only applied to one  and she just brushed it off saying “that’s what it says”.  Grrrr.

        • I checked my ecoupons & the ecoupon never came off, but how disappointing is that?!! I don’t think I like ecoupons, I like hard evidence that I know will scan & DOUBLE if under the .50!! :)

    • Stephanie

Does Kroger not double the e-coupons? I haven’t shopped there in a while, but decided to go tonight, and none of my e-coupons doubled, but my paper ones did?

      • Chris

        Right – eQs don’t double.

      • Firestar2124

No, they won’t double the ecoupons.  And if you have an ecoupon and a paper coupon for the same item, they only let you use the ecoupon.  So if the paper coupon is .50 or less, REMOVE the ecoupon before shopping.  Paper is worth more.

      • jmoz

Be sure to hand over your kroger card AFTER they take off your paper coupons that will double, so you get the highest value for them.

        • Tabithia

Bad idea, if they scan your q’s BEFORE they scan your card your paper q’s won’t double either. Best thing to do, remove the e-coupons that you have paper ones for.

        • Mrswhetstone

I don’t think that would work out either because when I forgot to hand my card over before my paper coupons one time, none of my paper coupons would double and they had to go back and manually double them.

    • Hi_itsgwen

Our local Kroger is now marking down office and school supply items on Manager Special Clearance.  There were some great deals on things like 3 ring binders, page flag stickies, Crayola items, computer accessories, etc. etc. etc.  I stocked up and scored some great Christmas gifts too!

    • Michael Russell

I have a Kroger $10 off $50 coupon.  Does anyone know if this can be applied before my other coupons like Rite Aid?  Or does my total need to be $50 after all my coupons? Thanks!

      • Rjbabygirl

Always use those kind of Q’s first~!

      • pdsmama

Give the 10 off 50 q first, then the rest of your qs.

    • Nina

I did not see any posting for the Carolina Pride, Currently on a B1G1 it will be $1.14 per pack with your Q’s…… :)

      • Tabithia

Where is your Kroger because I can’t find Carolina Pride brand of ANYTHING here…

        • Mrswhetstone

I can’t find Carolina Pride either. I’m in Murfreesboro, TN. Where are you?

    • onebusymomga

Kroger on Mars Hill road in Acworth, GA had 4 blue bumbo seats in the back of the store on clearance for $17.50.  I’ve sold these used at consignment for more than that.  Thought some new mothers would like this deal.

      • Thankful

Thanks!!! We just called and they are going to hold one for us.  We were waiting on a response from Craigslist for $20.  Guess they missed that sale!

        • Anonymous

I have gotten 2 of them from yardsales for $3 each this week.   I had no idea how much they cost originally.   Back in my day, we didnt have such things.   My daughter is pregnant with a boy, and got one of them for my house, Mimi’s house.

    • Kcblanks

I am confused! I know Kroger stopped stacking ecoupons with manufactutuer paper ones. However, I only use the kroger coupons with my manufacturer coupons? I thought that kroger ecoupon would be considered their store coupons?? What am I missing? Because they turned away my manufacturer coupons because I had there coupons on my card?Help?

      • Jan Taunton

If you have an ecoupon and a paper coupon for the same item, they only let you use the ecoupon. So if the paper coupon is .50 or less, REMOVE the ecoupon before shopping. Paper is worth more….OR you can do a separate transaction if you are buying 2 of the same item and use both coupons.  Cashiers do not like to do 2 transactions and will refuse if there’s a long line at checkout…..so I use the self-check if I need to do multi transactions.

      • Kristina

The ones loaded to your card are typically manu coupons unless it states store – I stopped loading them bc I usually have a better paper coupon

    • Sarah

What Kroger ad is running febreeze this week?  It’s certainly not in mine.

      • Littlemcknz

Mine either, it was in last weeks ad but not this week.

    • Ty

Well that stinks!!!  Wish I read this before I went to Kroger this morning.  Yes, I was caught with the ecoupon thing also.  Spent more on several products than I had planned because they didn’t double the ecoupons.  And I kick myself because I had the paper coupon in my hand.

Also, I did notice that there were several items that got you double fuel points if anyone is interested in that.  Be on the look out for those.  The ones I noticed were on coffee and creamer and candy.

      • pdsmama

I feel your pain.  I stopped adding the digital q’s.  Also- double check your receipt.   One lady posted that the register threw out a q, but there wasn’t an eQ on there, so the q was pushed thru.

      • Dharvn

i don’t even use ecoupons anymore, they are NOT worth the hassle.

        • Chris

AGREED.  I just don’t bother because usually I already have the paper version OR there’s a better paper version available.

        • Amy

There is a way around the hassle of loading and removing ecoupons … I created a separate account for my husband. So, he has a card and I have a card. I load all the ecoupons to his card and use the paper coupons on my card. I do two transactions at check-out, one for items with paper coupons and one for items with ecoupons. This makes it easier for me keep up with. I also bring a sharpie with me and mark items that are part of Mega Event Savings to guarantee that I have the right number. So frustrating to look at the receipt and realize you only bought nine of a 10 item Mega Event.

    • I got stocked up for a while courtesy of my trip last night:
2 100 oz Tide Deter ($9.99 ea after coupons)
2 Downy sheets packs ($3.49 and $2.99 ea after coupons)
1 Bounce sheets pack ($3.49 after ecoupon)
1 Bounty paper towels pack ($5.74 after ecoupon)
1 Charmin toilet paper pack ($5.74 after ecoupon)
2 Gilette Body Wash ($1.99 and $0.99 after ecoupon—the system would not allow the mfg coupon; I see others had this same problem. It was a bummer.)
2 Secret Deodorants ($0.49 ea after coupon)
2 Febreeze Air Effects ($0.99 ea after coupons)

They were all out of the Febreeze warmers–I am going to try some other stores later today.

      • Tabithia

Ours restocks Thrusday mornings, so you may try then. They had run out of febreze warmers when I went last Wednesday…and everything else for that matter but Thursday afternoon were completely stocked!

    • Jes

I noticed that Jenny will list coupons on an item that is not specifically for the same item ex: (Clairol Nice ‘n Easy or Natural Instincts Hair Color, $4.99) she put the $3 off Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Colorblend FOAM, PG 8/28, will this coupon still work???

      • Fans 2glenna

Usually if it is the same brand w/my experience yes it should work:)

      • Mrscori2006

I have the same question myself….I’ve noticed lots of times it’s a coupon from the same company but for a different product. Technically you’re not supposed to use a coupon for one product on another just because it’s the same brand. I wonder if that’s what she means or if it’s just an oversight

        • Chris

Sometimes retailers may only list one specific type of a brand in their ad but when you get to the store other types of that same brand are also on sale.  I believe what Jenny tries to do is give all of the options she’s aware of so you know that you could take those Qs with you and be on the lookout.

      • Laura

The cashiers at my Kroger (and every store in town) have really cracked down and  been examining every coupon to make sure it’s an EXACT match. The past 2-3 months it’s like they want to reject every coupon they possibly can.

The foam is $10, it’s not on sale & not part of the P&G event. Since the coupon is for a product that costs twice as much as the one on sale I’m pretty sure no cashier in my town would allow it. The P&G coupon only shows a photo of Foam and says $3 off Foam. The register might stop it for not matching even if a cashier accepted it.

    • Ter

I really wish Kroger would put a limit on the sale items……..like 10 per person. It is so frustrating when you want to buy a few items and someone has cleaned the shelves in all 3 Kogers in town. I just wish everyone had a chance to get soem good deals.

      • Anonymous

Some of my Krogers have started doing that.   They limit 10 items and like coupons per person — per day.  So you cant do additional transactions.

      • Nan

I agree.  I wanted to buy 2 Dawn soaps and the shelves were empty.  So frustrating!

        • Jkhampt123

Don’t forget to ask for a rain check.

    • Sharonsavvy

anyone remember when Kroger last ran a P&G special such is running currently?

      • Annie

        Yes,
        12/16/10

    • RachelS

Kroger in Milledgeville GA has changed their coupon policy: only one coupon for similar items. Here is my experience from today: I went to get Simply Lemonade and Simply Raspberry Lemonade, 2 different types of Mt. Olive pickles, and 2 different types of Minute Maid Juice, 2 things of Sargento cheese and 4 boxes of Pizza Rolls. I had one coupon for each item, and they would only take one coupon for each set. The RUDE cashier told me that the policy had been in effect for a month, which is bogus to me, because I shopped there 3 weeks ago and could use as many “like” coupons as I wanted. She said if it didnt have a ” number limit per purchase” on the coupon, you could only use one. So, heads up to anyone shopping here, separate your transactions if you have more than one similar item with coupons.

      • Midnight Sara

i live in augusta ga. I had a cashier tell me that has well but i know the manager well and that policy was not true in my case. I would go talk to your store manager and talk to him face to face Short Story Always go to the head manager when there is a issue and absoultle when it comes to  the attuidute of the workers

      • Jencoupon

I would ask the customer service associate for a copy. They recently changed policies in southern Ohio and they gave me a copy to which i use to educate their staff regularly. The policy is no more than 3 like coupons per transaction, and you have to officially exit the store and come back in to do another transaction. I have had 3 different cashiers tell me 3 different things and when i pull out the policy they usually read it (for the first time) and everything is fine. I did have to get the store manager on one trip in which i was buying for me and my elderly neighbor so I had to exit the store and then return which to me says you really don’t want my business.

        • RachelS

I asked her why it wasnt posted and she said very kindly (sarcasm noted) “You can go to Customer Service. I dont post anything”. I said- “do you see these people waiting- Im not causing them to wait any longer, but I feel like if your company is going to spring changes on people, it is your responsibility to have it posted where customers can see it.” I plan on calling customer service later today and paying the manager a visit. She didnt have to be rude- and could have informed me of this “policy change” when she saw me getting my coupons together.

        • Janel123

          I hate this new policy.

        • Janel123

          I hate this new policy.

        • Chris

I think Kroger is losing a lot of ground to competitors like Publix, Aldi, Whole Foods, and Walmart.  So it seems they’re trying to protect their profits and margins but are really only hurting themselves as more people start using coupons.  Maybe they’ll wake up and figure it out but if they don’t I won’t say I’ll be sad to see them go – their stores, prices, and customer service can’t match some of their competitors (like Publix).

      • Coupongirl1203

that’s BS!!! I’m going to that store tomorrow ( Mville is my hometown) and if that happens to me I am finding Mr. Gladin, who is always so helpful when I shop there!!!

Hi,I am working on a program for couponing and tracking savings on a store basis/ weekly basis/ monthly basis and year to date. You will be able to enter each item and corresponding q, it will figure your qs depending on qty bought and qty of Q’s with separate store Q’s and man Q’s, it will figure reward, value after rewards, savings, and goal OOP per transaction. Being able to log multiple transactions per trip or week. It will keep a item/q qty count, let u deduct rewards and oth discounts, it will figure ur overall q savings, reward savings, total value, total OOP, and your savings percentage and allow for entering your actual amounts from your receipt after the purchase so you can tell how much you are spending over your plan. It will have areas separate ares for: pharmacies, grocery stores, superstores, general stores, dept stores, hardware stores, dining, entertainment, services, and “other” store not listed. It will figure data and savings from all the above so you can see your savings on a long term view. What I need from you….. Is there any other features you would like to see on this program?I plan to have it finished within the next month or so. You can look for it under “sherriduncan76’s couponing and savings tracker”. I will be sure to post the info for it on all the main coupling sites. Thanks for any other ideas you have, and keep an eye out for it!

      • Chris

I would be very interested in seeing this and wish you good luck with it!  If you need someone to test and report back feel free to email me – cmetzger at metzdomain dot com.

Thank you, I’ll let you know. I’m still working hard on tying it all together now so it will probably be a month or so away. Luckily I have plenty of time to work on it being a stay at home mom, lol. I’ll keep your contact info, thanks again, Sherri
Ps..if you think if any ideas for it let me know. Sherriduncan76@gmail.com!

Sherry Duncan is a crook who has been banned from WeUseCoupons!  She has scammed many people out of trades, and has created aliases to try to get around it.  There is a thread on that site with over 170 posts about her.  If anyone is in negotiations with her for anything, BEWARE!  Her addresses (yes, she uses more than 1) are in Bell, FL.

            • Sherriduncan76

You must be talking about someone else, I have never even used WeUseCoupons. I havent ever “traded” anything thing with anyone concerning any coupons. My address is not in fl., I live in another state. You need to make sure about who you are writing about before you start running your mouth. I’m not asking anyone here for anything other than feedback. I am writing a kick a** program for couponing that I am trying to keep design so that I can distribute it free. You must be doing one you want to charge for huh? I see, you try to make me look bad so that people won’t download mine when it’s ready and will go pay for yours… Now who is the crook? Liar, cheater, sorry a** crook. You need to get your sh*t straight. If ANYONE has any question about me and my authenticity, email me at sherriduncan76@gmail.com and I will answer whatever you want to know. And notice also, they said sherr”y” Duncan and I’m Sherr”I” Duncan, but you know, two people can’t have the same name or similar name…. That’s just not possible huh? Contact me if you have a concern about me. And JustMe, contact me if you want.

My Kroger had Pepperoni Snack packs on closeout for 1.80 which is great because my little girls loves those for snack!

    • Painterclan

Did everyone see the top of the add that Kroger will no longer be doubling and tripling starting Sept 14th???

      • Anonymous

Yep, that stinks. Is it all over? I’m in the DFW area.

      • Chris

The current ad in the Atlanta area has a small box at the bottom of the front page that says “Double Coupons Every Day”.  So they haven’t done that in Atlanta.

      • hasn’t happen here yet..and better not..the only reason i shop there is because they double and I live in a small town we have a walmart and an ingles..they both have high prices so a drive a good bit out of the way to save money on food and gas!!

      • Anonymous

It looks like it is just the Texas area. I saw a letter from Kroger on another site that confirmed.

    • Steph96_2000

Has anyone experienced a Kroger “Store RESET”?  They have our store torn apart, however, I’m tempted to go in deal hunting.  I’m hoping that I can find some discounted items.  Anyone had any luck finding deals in this scenario?

      • Tmcfarmergirl

Our store remodeled and I did not see any savings until a few weeks later.  At that time there were about 4 buggy fulls of merchandise marked down.

      • Lizcpns

Yes, our store did that too. Keep watching there should be great stuff for realy cheap!

      • Anna

Yes they will mark some of the old inventory down!!

      • Traci0322

The store in Jefferson, GA is in reset status right now and during the first 3-4 days the deals were awesome, but they’re pretty well cleaned out now.  They had blemished packaging items for 75% off, a ton of appliances and kitchen gadgets also deeply discounted, some summer toys and stationary 50% off, all the weird stuff that I guess doesn’t sell well like sugar free candies and pantyhose.  Very random items, but incredible prices.

        • Anonymous

That’s where I’m at.  I haven’t gotten a chance to go in yet.  Bummed that the good stuff is probably gone.  I’ll definitely be prepared to spend a little time in there when I do get to go, though.

    • Nan

Does anybody know of the Quaker granola bars are still on sale for $1.99?  I wanted to pick up a few more boxes with my q’s.  Thanks!

    • gateskitchen

I live in the cincinnati area does anyone know when krogers does the triple coupon here! Im always doubling but to triple would be awesome

    • for the febreze noticeables mail-in rebate, do you have to buy it at publix or can you buy it at kroger?

    • Just a heads up for Woodstock people – the Kroger on highway 92 had their Sundown prenatals marked down from like $9 to $2.76. There is also a Sundown coupon somewhere for $1 off. That’s a phenomenal price for prenatals. I also snagged a pack of free chocolate twizzlers, on clearance for .79, with the doubled .50 coupon. There were a bunch more, if you’re into that sort of thing. :) No Febreeze warmers, but after I looked at them I didn’t care anyway, because we already do the Airwick ones – refills are much cheaper and they send out coupons all the time, plus they smell amazing. So don’t be sad if you don’t get your warmer. :-p

    • Mandi

Can someone answer a question for me?  I have become a Publix shopper, so I very rarely visit my local Kroger.  However, I have learned of the double points for gift cards (including Shell).  We’re travelling the first week of Oct., and I thought this may be worth doing, until I started thinking that points may expire at the end of each month.  So here’s my question…If I purchase 100.00 in Shell gift cards on Sept. 30th, will the points I accumulate from that be available to me during that next week, or will they be lost at midnight???

      • Deanna

The points are good until the end of the following month.  So any purchases you made in September would be good until the end of October for the fuel discount.  They also have another program this week that ends on Saturday (9/10) they’re giving 4X the credit (i.e. $25 gift card = 100 points/$0.10 gal discount) for gift cards.  I try to stock up on items I know I will use anyway, such as McD’s & Subway.

        • Mrswhetstone

Also a good time to get gift cards for Christmas gifts. i bought all of my nephews itunes cards and got 4X the points for it. It will really help when we go to Disney next month!

    • Ahjohns

Don’t know if anyone else mentioned this, but I found the LA Looks hair gel on sale 10/$10 at my Kroger.  I had a $1 off coupon left for the gel and got some free hair gel:)  Good thing, because my 2 oldest daughters are starting to use hair gel now.

I’m asking this question in hopes of getting some clarification regarding the Kroger home mailer. I had previously heard that you must spend $200 before cpns monthly to qualify for this mailer, however, I spoke to customer service (on the back of Kroger plus card) yesterday evening and the person stated that it wasn’t based on a certain amount, but rather how frequently you shop in the store and the coupons that would come in the mailer are for products you’ve typically bought in previous Kroger shopping trips. I’ve never heard this before……For those of you that receive the mailer, what is your understanding of securing a home mailer and what types of cpns might be included? Thank you in advance!

      • Traci0322

I had noticed that the coupons included were for items related to things I had purchased previously.  My neighbor gets her booklet at the same time that I do, but for different things.  I did notice I was regularly getting it when I shopped at Kroger a few times a week, but I have switched to Publix for most shopping and now I rarely get them if ever.

    • Deanna

Last night I found Kotex liners have a $2/OYNO offer wyb 2.  The small boxes are $3.06/each.  I had 2 catalina coupons that have printed out over the last couple of weeks for $1.50/1 box.  This made the final cost $1.00 for 2 boxes of liners.  There might be other coupons out there too, I didn’t look because I had the catalina ones.

    • Kelly V.

Well I had a great trip to Kroger today!  I got all kinds of overages.  I really thought the computer would mark it down to the sale price but didn’t.  I did 4 P&G deals with coupons for all, 7 oxy wash with the $3 coupons, and some other misc. items.  I spent $18.12 and saved $90.06!  I hope my store doesn’t start limiting the number of like coupons.

    • Still Learning

A question. I did the P&G last night at my Kroger. I got home and realized they did not give me the sale price on all the listed P&G sale items I got. When I called they said that the sale price is for every 4 items ( I had 7 of the sale items and would have needed 8 to get the sale price). Is that so? I thought after 4 you would get the sale price on any others you buy after the required 4??

      • Hgoodkind

You get the $ off for each multiple of the sale items you buy.  In this event, you get $4 off when you buy 4.  The next one would be $8 off 8 and so on.  You missed it by one item!

        • Haildris13

I had the same problem, because at the bottom of my receipt it said I only bought 11 participating items. HOWEVER, I bought 12. One of my Aussie products didn’t ring up as a participating item, so not only did I miss out on the $1 off there, but also on 3 of the other participating items. Ugh. Taking my receipt back today.

This happens to me all the time.  I will be one short to get the full discount.  If you go get one more item and take it and your receipt to customer service, they will give you the money back.  I’m sure it happens to them all the time.

I’m having a problem with the cellfire coupons. its under the Kroger section but i called the number and they said it is now called Shop Rite and they’re not available in my area. But why would it be listed if it wasn’t ?

Does anyone know if you can use coupons on their clearance (orange tag) items?

      • Mrswhetstone

I think you can use coupons on anything at Kroger as long as the coupon applies to that product

The only time I have issues is if it says “Manager’s Special” on the clearance tag.  I’ve had them tell me I can’t use a coupon on that but not every time.

    • FYI—-Kelloggs “Cars” cereal clearanced at $1.29….use 50cent/2 coupon …got them for 79cents/ea!!!

I bought a case of Huggies diapers at Kroger today, had a peely for a free box of wipes that expires 9.11.11, plus I had a $1.00 off coupon, so I got a box of size 2 diapers (100 count) and a box of free wipes all for $18.99, plus tax.  Then when I went to the register to pay, 2 coupons printed for $5.00 off Enfamil formula.  Great day!!!

Alright I need everyone’s help on this one. I did the P&G deal last night at my Dillons, and as part of it I bought 4 of the Febreze warmers. They were not 1.70 after the deal like above, but they were 2.19 at my store which is still a good deal. I tried to use 4 of the $3 off coupons, and the register only accepted the 1st one. The other 3, when scanned, popped up on the register saying that I had an ecoupon loaded on my card for that item already. I purposely do NOT load coupons on my card if I have the paper one, since I know that you can’t stack those and the ecoupons don’t double. I told the cashier there was no way I had that on my card, and the only thing we could think of that was conflicting was the $4 off P&G coupon I had won that was on my card from the Spin to Win game. Has anyone else had this problem??? They were very nice about it and ended up giving me the $9 back on a giftcard, but I was standing there with my groceries, needing to get home and it was very inconvenient. I even told them they could reduce the coupon to the item value, although I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to allow overage that just goes towards my other items, right?! I have to go back today AGAIN because one of my items didn’t ring up as a participating item (see below post) and I lost out on another $4 there. Frustrated.
