I think that going out for Valentine’s Day can be overrated.  The ideal date night is for Grandma to watch the kids, we cook dinner together and watch an old movie.  This Valentine’s Day, head to your local Kroger for inspiration on how to create the perfect Valentine’s Day date night.

Try a dinner of Carando Italian Sausage with a premium Bertolli Riserva sauce.  The Tuscan inspired sauces and authentic italian flavors of the sausages will simmer nicely together, leaving you with a meal you won’t want to end.

Carando Italian Sausage and Bertolli Riserva both come in a variety of flavors, so you’ll be able to recreate multiple date nights.  If you want to try it out before you buy, ask the Kroger store manager if your store is having a sampling event.

Since the early 1900’s, Carando has been using delicate herbs, bold peppers and savory flavors to create old world flavors.  They’re all in a line of fresh Authentic Italian sausage, now available in the fresh meat section at Kroger.

I decided to try the sauce and meatballs for myself, but I wanted to keep the dish simple so I could let you guys know what I thought of the flavor.

-Barilla Riserva Sauce
-Cardano Meatballs
-Parmesan Cheese to Taste
-A Pinch of Parsley
-A Pinch of Rosemary

-First off, you need to know where to find the meatballs.  You can pick them up with the rest of the packaged meat like ground beef.

-Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

-Put the noodles in a pot and cook them according to directions.

-Cook your sauce on the stove.  I put a little rosemary in because I like a little extra flavor.  You can add other veggies to the sauce and it wold be delicious.

-Lay out the meatballs on a cookie sheet and pop them in the oven for 10 minutes, then turn them and cook for 5 more minutes.

-Strain the noodles and then mix them in with the sauce.

-Add 3 meatballs per serving of spaghetti and sprinkle parsley and cheese on top.

I really loved this meal.  The meatballs and the sauce was full of flavor, and since the meatballs are already rolled out and ready to cook, the meal is super easy to make.  I love being able to have a flavorful meal that you don’t have to work hard for.  I’d highly recommend this meal to anyone looking for a date night or a quick, tasty meal.
