Wow what a week at Kroger!! This list is long I know.  Thanks for being patient with me in getting it up.  We spent all morning at the doctor and the pharmacy so hopefully we are on our way to all feeling better!  I hope getting to see all the sale items and not just advertised deals makes it up to you :)

**Here is what I recommend copy the entire list into a word document and delete what you don’t want, then print it and head to the store. As you buy Mega sale items place a number by that item for how many are in your cart. You can only buy 30 mega items per transaction so do multiple transactions if needed.**

There are some things that you will possibly not see the price this low again for a long time (if ever). Stock up on those items! I have bolded some of them for you.

Remember:

  1. Load your P&G, Shortcuts and Cellfire Coupons before going out. (E coupons information)
  2. You can use a paper coupon with all the above e coupons for FREE products or even better savings
  3. You do not have to buy 2 of B1G1 items to get the sale price
  4. Most Kroger stores double coupons that are .50¢ or less

    • Gabrielle

There is a cellfire coupon for Kroger tuna, and it was on sale at my Kroger for 77cents. Pretty cheap tuna!

    • Lynn

This is sooooo worth the wait! Thank you very much!!! Glad your feeling better!

    • Jamie

Thank you so much! Any idea why I don’t have some of the shortcuts coupons that you are talking about?? I haven’t used them in the past. Hmmm.

    • Folole

Thank you so much! What a great help..Appreciate it!

    • Jenny

Some shortcut coupons are offered in meal deals and they haven’t offered any in a while. When you see one though you should always add it, the coupons last for a while once added to your card but they aren’t offered long in the list of available coupons.

Just add what you can for now and keep checking them every week to see if there are any new ones to add.

    • Ang

Thank you so much for this. You’re an angel.

      kelly

    • Sienna

Did you see that Rotel is a participating item? It’s a moneymaker after the .30 Q from yesterday’s paper!

    • Dee

Thanks for all the tips. My Kroger stopped allowing customers to have ecoupons AND paper coupons. I heard that this will be the case at all Krogers soon. How sad:(

    • Shannon

Good Evening, just wanted to let people in VA know that they can get gain detergent for 3.49 each.
      1$/2 P&G
      .50/1 (doubles to $1)

    • Jenny

Shannon – where is te .50/1 off coupon from, let me know and I’ll add it to the list.

    • Samantha

Hope you get to feeling better.

There is a Cellfire coupon for the Kroger EveryDay Napkins that are on sale for .88 – the coupon makes them .13/each.

    • Samantha

Oops, I also forgot to add another Coffee Mate coupon for $1.50/1.

    • Nona

Normally at Kroger, you have to buy 2 in order to get 1 free…Has it changed just for this week?

      Thanks, I LOVE your site!

    • Jenny

      Nona,
I know at my Kroger you only have to buy 1 of B1G1 items and it is half price. I’m guessing your Kroger may work differently and if so then stick with their rules. Sorry for any confusion.

    • liberty

      HI,

I went to Kroger and got the Rotel. It is part of the Mega deal. I was also able to use the $1/2 Rotel from the Publix Advantage buy ad. Also a money maker. Thanks for your hard work!!!

    • liberty

Oh, BTW, at my Kroger the Rotel are .87, I noticed you put .97, so I don’t know if it varies from store to store.

    • Shannon

Jenny, it may be regional but in the P&G packet of coupons I got this weekend, the coupon was .50 off 1 bottle of gain, and of course it is doubled to $1.00. If I were to buy two bottles using two coupons and the P&G ecoupon it would come out to 3.49 a bottle.

    • If you can find the $0.50 SoBe hangtag coupons (located on the bottles), then the SoBe Life Water will be a $0.50 MM if your store doubles coupons.

I found a huge display at the entrance of one Kroger and couldn’t find the product at all at a second Kroger. I’m in Dallas.

    • Jenny

Thanks Susan. I searched my store high and low and couldn’t find the product anywhere much less a coupon! Oh well glad you found a deal.

    • Kay

I could not find the Rotel tomato coupon in the 1/18/09 SS. Any suggestions?

    • Tracy

This is my first time hearing about this website. I feel so bad and I just spent $130.00 @ Kroger on Sunday 1/18/09. Can anyone tell me what SS and RP stand for? I haven’t used coupons in a while, but I’m trying to start back. Thanks!!

    • Jenny

Hi Tracy! I’m glad you found us. SS is Smart Source the name of one of the inserts in your paper. RP is Red Plum, the other insert in your paper. I tried to put most of the common acronyms in the sidebar on the right, but let me know if you have any other questions.

    • MelRae

Thank you, Jenny! Of all the “bargain blogs” I read, your is my favorite! You do such a comprehensive job of telling us everything!

I can’t wait to get Kroger tissues and napkins for only 13 cents each!!!

And attention Publix shoppers: I just got a sneak peek at the new Publix ad that starts 1/21/09 (over at Hot Coupon World). They will have Juicy Juice and Pace Salsa BOGOFree. There is talk in the Publix thread at HCW that Rotel may be BOGOFree as well. SO, you may want to compare prices between Kroger and Publix before you go. I know Jenny will have a Publix Deals post with coupon matchups for us either Wednesday or Thursday.

Oh, and if you are visiting this site, and you haven’t been to Hot Coupon World, you must go visit!

    • Jenny

I’m working on those match ups now. I always aim to have Publix up at midnight Wednesday morning so tonight should be no different!

Looks like a good week at Publix and Kroger.

    • Stacy

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just followed your guide to the Kroger Mega Sale and saved a TON – 86% actually, and that would have been better if I hadn’t bought myself a sandwich for lunch.

      You’re the best!

    • Jennifer

Is Publix a website or an insert?

    • Jenny

Do you mean the advantage buy flyer? That is a flyer that is at the front entrance of Publix stores. Every month there is a new one and they are green or yellow.

    • MelRae

To Jennifer: Publix is a grocery store…I think mostly in the Southeast. Go to their website and search for the closest store to you.

    • Jennifer

Ok, I thought so. I’ve never heard of them. We don’t have any near me :(. Oh well. Thanks for all the great tips everyone. I’m getting sucked into this coupon world super fast! It’s overwhelming but I’m trying to take it one site at a time…lol.

    • Jamie

There is a .75/1 Cattleman’s BBQ sauce on the same link where the French’s Mustard is. PLUS there was a TRY ME FREE on the product!

    • Lindsey

Just wanted to leave a note that I got a tag on the Cattleman’s BBQ Sauce that had info. for a MIR.

You don’t need a form. Here is what the tag says:

Send your original dated, store-identified receipt dated between 3/1/08-6/30/09 with the purchase priced up to $2.19 circled. Write your full name, address, & e-mail on a 3 X 5 card and mail to:

      Cattlemen’s Barbecue Sauce
      PO Box 1184
Grand Rapids, MI (***probably supposed to be MN) 55745-1184

1 per household and must be postmarked by 7/14/09.

***The tag says Grand Rapids, MI, but, I just saw on HCW that they discussed that it is actually supposed to be MN, not MI. I looked up the zip code on USPS.com and it does appear that it is actually supposed to be MN. A printing error, maybe. I already mailed the rebate today, but I guess if it has the correct zip code it will most likely get there. …Hopefully.

    • Tracy

HOw do the cellfire and shortcut coupons work…I loaded them last week and when they scanned my KP card, they didn’t come up. I ended up not getting the colgate because of it…this week I want to take advantage of the diapers…how can I make sure it will come up when I scan my card at Kroger?

    • John

As another member posted previously, I just had a terrible experience with a Kroger manager in Atlanta, GA trying to convince me that I could no longer combine a paper coupon with an ecoupon. My Mega Deals plan is no longer so “mega”! Not only did he refuse to accept the paper coupons (since I had ecoupons loaded on my Kroger card), but also questioned the legitimacy of printed Coupons.com coupons. I won’t be shopping at this Kroger again. Seems like Kroger is really tightening up as far as coupons in general go. :-(

    • Stacy

Tracy – I’ve had that problem with eCoupons, too, and with all three providers (cellfire, shortcuts and P&G). In my experience, I’ve e-mailed the respective company, received an e-mail from their customer service and a credit to my shoppers card. That credit will be deducted from your next purchase when using the shoppers card. Definitely not an ideal situation. I usually hold on to the reciept/product and if I can’t get the eCoupon thing worked out, I return the product.

    • There is a 1.00 off coupon in the new paper for Head and Shoulders and a 1.00 e coupon on the P&G Site. Do not know but might be getting really cheap shampoo. There is also a 2.00 off ecoupon for Gillette hair care and a 2.00 coupon in the new paper might be worth checking out.

    • sara

I also had trouble with the e-coupons (again!). NONE of them went through including a $4 credit to my card from P&G that they’ve now credited twice. This time I went to customer service and the manager gave me cash back, but they didn’t really have an explanation as to why the e-coupons didn’t work except that it “might” have been b/c I also had a paper coupon.

    • Urvashi Gadi

i could not find coupons on Kroger diapers packages in my store. Any suggestions?

    • Melissa

Any idea when this sale ends? Sometimes the mega deals are 2 weeks. Not sure if this is the case this time. Anyone know?

    • Jenny

From looking at the sale tags in the store it appears this is only a week long sale. Most say they end on 1/24 this Saturday.

    • laura

The dial coupons do not seem to be doubling. Do they say- ‘do not double’? I can’t look at mine now b/c I used them all but they did not double and I talked to a friend and her’s did not double at a different Kroger???

    • Nona

Are the mega sale items only the ones in bold or everything under ‘mega sale’ until ‘other sale items’ starts in your list?

    • Jenny

Mega Sale items are everything listed under Mega Sale. The items that are bolded are items that are such a good price you better stock up!

    • Nona

Thanks! Again, I LOVE your site!

    • Jill

I just looked at next weeks ad at Kroger.com and it seems that all the Mega Sale items carry over to next week. Yea!!

    • Jill

Correction. Most of the Mega Sale items carry over and there are a few different ones.

    • beth

i went to kroger today (one on st andrews rd) for my first kroger trip. They took al my coupons except for my cottonelle coupon (.50 off). It was printed in black and white (printed from work)- they said that they could only accept color printouts – is this a common problem or should i just find another kroger?

    • Lindsey

Find another Kroger. Actually, find another Kroger and email customer service and confirm that the do accept IP’s that are black and white. Then you can take that to your store next time. That’s such a ridiculous thing to say they won’t take it if it’s B&W. As if color copies can’t be made just as easy as B&W! (And every Kroger I have been to has no problems taking them.) I print all my coupons in B&W.

If possible just go through the self checkout. Saves a lot of stress rather than having to deal with uninformed cashiers.

    • beth

ok. i thought it was crazy as well. Being my first time ever in kroger i just didn’t know if that was the norm.
      Thanks Lindsey!
