I just got back from my weekly trip around Kroger, there are a few great deals but most of them seem to be repeats. So this week I tried to get when the sales are ending so you have a better idea of how long you have to grab them.

My favorite deals are actually the closeout rice vinegar and cooking wines. These are regulary almost $4 a bottle so to grab them for 24¢-49¢ a bottle after coupons is awesome!

If you see any other unadvertised or closeout deals leave a comment below. Don’t forget to also check the list of weekly Kroger deals too.

My local Kroger (columbia,sc) has gain detergent on sale for $4.99 for a 40 load box. If you use the $2 off any gain or tide its only 2.99…not a bad price for gain, which is normally around $8!

      • WALGREENS HAS THIS SAME DEAL IN MY AREA. I wanted to share with yall in case you had left over RR

          Thank you!

    • Today the Kroger in McDonough, GA had the Bic Soleil Disposible Razors for $3.99.  I used the coupon that expires today to get $3 off.  I got two packs of 4 count razors for $1 each. :)

      • Oh no I didnt KNow those expired today bummer !

        • akmilly

Mine don't expire until August, you may want to check yours just in case! My Kroger had this deal a few weeks ago and I made sure to get a raincheck.

    • Kimberlyjhensley

you guys havent advertised the field hot dogs, they are 10/for 10 and we have a .50 cent coupon which ,makes em free!!!!!!  its only on the pro-league weiners.

    • Becca8710

Both the Holland House and the Nakano coupons state “do not double.”  Will Kroger still double these coupons since they are both valued at 50 cents?

      • Deb

I cannot get that coupon to print…have tried 3 different browsers..some kind of code error.  How did you get it?

        • Kristin

I can't get the Nakano coupons to print either. I keep getting website error messages.  I've tried Chrome and IE.  Just sent an email to corporate.

        • Nessa_s_2003

on facebook if you like the brut  page you can print out a coupon, i “think” its for $1 off but not positive:)

      • Jcwiakala_44

I believe that as long as the bar code on the coupon begins w a 5, it should still double.

    • MSTW

My Walmart in Canton, Ga had Bruit deodorant on sale for 5/$5. There is a .50 off coupons from the paper several weeks back so it makes the deodorant free.

      • Medigrl1

your walmart doubles wish mine did

        • Donna091960

Wonder why all Walmart's don't double?

          • Joolz_43344

there's a rumor that select stores will start doubling their coupons as of aug. 1.

            • Ibdqt34

I hope my Walmart will be part of my the 'select stores'. Most of their prices are cheaper than any other grocery store around me but I get way better deals at other stores because they do double q's! C'mon WaL-mArT!!! :-)

        • Nessa_s_2003

on facebook if you like the brut  page you can print out a coupon, i “think” its for $1 off but not positive:)

    • Ev_Machine

My kroger in Marietta, GA had Brut deo for 5/$5. There was a $1 off coupon in 6/05 SS so that makes it FREE.

Crest is on sale for $1.  Buy 4, use 4 $.75 coupons, pay $1 and get a $2 OYO catalina!  I made $3 buying toothpaste this morning!

      • Nancy

This worked for me when I purchased 3 of the Crest.  The OYNO cat is apparently going by the shelf price, which is around $2.35 here.  Spend $6, get $2 OYNO.  Only 1 cat per transaction, though.  It was a $1.25 MM for me for each set of 3 Crest!

    • Bbookie

off the subject kmart has super double up to 99 cents. kellogs cereal and poptarts are on sale along with a 75 cents cpn. also they have 10 for 10 which makes for some free stuff

      • Leecy

    • kris

There were select Michelina meals that were 10/$7.50 on closeout instead of 10/$10.

    • Sarah

BOGO French's Yellow Mustard – 1.99 each; Kings Hawaiian rolls – 10 for 10 – with 1.00 off coupon for 2 these would be 50 cents each; skintimate shave cream 2/4.00 with 1.50 off coupon = .50

      • guest

I have a 50 cent/1 Q from Aug All You for Kings Hawaiian sandwich buns or mini sub rolls.  Do you know if either of those are also 10 for 10?  Thanks!

        • Sarah

No, its just for the rolls not for the sandwich buns or mini sub rolls as that it was I was hoping for to.

      • There's a good deal on the skintimate at CVS this week also.

    • Mslonas

    • Gmom

The Holland House and the Glade print button did not work for me :-( I tried both Internet Explorer and Mozilla.

      • Efranks41

I just printed two of the Holland House coupons, no problem. Using Internet Explorer, just click where it asks you to click a couple of times.

        • angel

I am also having trouble printing it…I will try again!

      • Ruesy

the Holland House coupon plainly says “Do Not Double”, so it does not end up being $0.49, but rather $0.99…..

    • Emistewart10

Kroger in Lexington, KY had Ball Park franks B1G1

    • Feisty_24

krogers ad says save $6 instant on gm cereals or nv granola bars wyb 4, trying to get the best deal with addtl coupons, any one got a game plan yet? very new to couponing… help me

      • Tnjcent

I used four .50 cents /1 coupons for Cheerios and Honey nut cheerios. Bought total of four. All were doubled. Since buying 4 boxes reduced the total to $1.49 ea, I paid .49 for each box. Coupons were found a few weeks ago in Sun. paper…can't remember which week. Go to Coupon data base above. It will tell you where to find them….I have 3 coup, left. 2 for plain Cheerios and d 1 for honey nut…will be glad to send

        • Ibdqt34

I did the same thing. At my Kroger the HN Cheerios were actually $1.38, so technically I just paid .38/box for one.

        • sallye

This is what I did also…the Nature Valley granola bars are included in this deal too (VA HERE) ….49 for a box of the sweet & salty…wow super deal!!!!!!!!!!!

      • BP

Where do you see this? I don't see the $6 off. I only see the 2 free gallons of milk…

        • Jen

There are two different promotions going on.  Depending on your store, you either get milk or the $6 off.

    • Tnjcent

I never found the Scotch brite nail sponges at my Murfreesboro, Tn, Lascassas store, last night. The young man cashier let me have two heavy duty ones for the price of one(1.49). Used my .75/2 coup. The Odwalla juice was 2/$4.00. Used my .35 cent coup(doubled) anyway since I wanted to try it….delicious! I was able to find the rice vinegar which was marked down to 1.29. Bought two. Did not find the cooking wines or the House of Holland marinades on mark down or sale. The Alexis potatoes were at a hefty price and did not get as well. Found the stonybrook yogurts, though and bought 6. Paid $1.00 total for all 6.  Found Boost Kids essentials for $4.99/4pk. Used 4  $3.00 coup found at the data base above. Was so glad to find those!

      • Lacie L

Where did you find the Odwalla juice in your Kroger store?

        • bingmom

Our Odwalla juice is found in the produce section near the prepackaged salad stuff and fruit trays. HTH!

    • Ibdqt34

I hope my Walmart will be part of my the 'select stores'. Most of their prices are cheaper than any other grocery store around me but I get way better deals at other stores because they do double q's! C'mon WaL-mArT!!! :-)

    • Nicole G.

Kroger in Acworth, GA had Poise thin liners on closeout for $1.79 last night and I had a cataliina for a free pack. A $2 catalina printed after I got the free pack so I turned around and got another pack. These will be great to donate.

      • mommyof1

i have 2 free coupons.. we went in and bought some groceries, and it printed out one.. forgot the bread and hubby ran back in the next night to get a loaf.. printed out another free liner coupon!! great for stocking up or donating..

    • kelley

Anyone purchased the Nature's Valley yet? Is the $5/$30 before the B1G1 discount? Or do I have to purchase $30 after the B1G1 to get the deal?

      • Couponista87

Generally, that is $30 after store discounts but before coupons. I hope that makes sense.

    • Rebecca

The Nakano Rice Vinegar is not on closeout here in Atlanta area.

      • I found it in my store only the “Balsamic” variety was on sale, I only got one but it was only .24 cents.

    • Lalawhat

how much are the cheerios before the free gallons of milk (Or $6 off) in the add it says $2.78 but i think that's for the cereal bars.

      • cg

The smallest sized box of regular Cheerios cereal was indeed 2.78. The bix boxes were over $5.

    • Mrsdeshazor

Krogers is having the 10 (items) for $10 sale on certain items one being on toothpaste and toothbrushes.  If you are a virgin to couponing here is a great way to get broken in.  If you have the PG coupons for Oral B indicator toothbrushes $2/2 you can get 20 toothbrushes for free during this week at their buy 10 for $10 sale. And the Crest toothpaste is.25 after coupon from the PG coupon book also.

      • CourtMS

I am definitely a virgin to couponing!  How many of the PG coupons for Oral B indicator toothbrushes $2/2 do you need to have to get 20 toothbrushes for free?

        • Frances

$2/2 means $2 off two toothbrushes.  You would need 10 coupons to get 20 toothbrushes free.  Try to buy what your family needs for a 6-8 week cycle.  For my family of seven, it would be 6 toothbrushes.  They are regularly on sale at the different drugstores for free also so you don't need to buy 20 toothbrushes this week.  Start a small stockpile and add to it when items are on sale and you have a great coupon.

Click on the top of your Southern Savers page on the “learn to coupon” and you will learn so many tips.

    • Mrsdeshazor

oops forgot to say that thisdeal is in the Hinesville/Fort Stewart, GA area.

    • Amy Alvey

Is there a way to get P&G coupons online?  We don't subscribe to the newspaper.
      Thanks!

      • Frances

You can register at p & g esaver .com (no spaces for web link).  You can use each coupon only one time and they do not double.

I don't subscribe to the newspaper either but have various people save their coupons for me.  You may want to ask friends for their coupon inserts.  Many people just throw them away.

    • Amysqpans

most of the link are not allowing me to print or either i am getting an error page…

    • Yoyodental

Went to kroger last night and purchase four 6.4 oz crest tubes, I used 4 of my .75 off coupons and paid $1 and some change and register spit out a $2 catalina. Repeated the same transaction and received another $2 catalina, tried to repeat again with my last two coupons and no catalina. Anyway, I purchased 10 6.4oz crest toothpaste for $2.50 and received $4 in catalinas. Not sure if I maxed out with catalina's or if I needed to purchase more than 2 tubes. Also, I purchased 10 bars of safeguard for .18 from Kroger.

      • Saverqueen21

The $2 Catalina's are for spending $6 or more in Crest products (before coupons)…. so that's why it didn't print when you only purchased the 2….

        • Bee

          They use the regular price.

    • Lilmamma20007

i went into my kroger an had some p and g coupons for the ivory body wash it was 10 for 10 and i got 12 for under a dollar.. i also got 3 covergirl lipsticks for under a dollar :)…hard work pays off

      • afia

Can you please explain to me how you were able to get this? Was it the body wash or bar soap

      • mommyof1

12 at once? i am certainly not trying to judge, but my kroger has limited shelf space and quantity of these kind of items and also most stores will not take more than 4 like coupons.. how did you get so many?

    • Abbie6003

the alexia fries are 2.99 not 1.49 wasnt my ink printing those coupons grr… i bet its only certain korger

      • Terri

My kroger doesn't even carry that brand…

      • cg

In my Kroger I found all the Alexia products in the natural/organic section. The oven-roasted wedge fries with rosemary were closeout at 1.49. I'd go back and double check.

      • Lea

Oh my goodness, how DARE Jenny not check your Kroger first before posting! If you can't spare the ink over a coupon, then maybe you should just start paying full price for everything.

        • AshATL

Chill.  I don't think she was “grr”=ing at Jenny, just frustrated.  I'm the first one to defend Jenny, but give people the benefit of the doubt.

    • christinec

This happened to me the other day here in pooler,Ga. The cashier doubled my mount olive .50 coupon. I went back a day later, and another cashier told me they don't double. I guess I just got lucky the first time.

      • mommyof1

hey we shop at the one in rincon, ga..  i have had a few coupons not double maybe like 2, but most of them do.  i havent shopped at kroger in a few weeks, so i am hoping their policy hasnt changed.

    • Mistyjarrells

My Kroger had 34ct tide stain release tabs on closeout for 5.00. I had a 2.00 off coupon so it was a good deal! it was the free and clear variety but thats fine by me.

    • Jenny

I am new to couponing, what does RAIN CHECK mean? Can anyone help me please?

      • Zebbie

When a store has a sale on something, and it is sold out when you get there, many will give you a rain check, which is a ticket they write out for you to take back to the store when they have the item in stock again.  Then you will get the sale price even if the sale is over.

    • Zebbie

I went to my Kroger last night and saw they had 9 oz johnson and johnson bedtime baby lotion (lavender scent) on closeout for $1.59.  My kids are not babies, but I love this lotion for myself.  I didn't have any johnson and johnson coupons with me, but I knew I could print some, so I didn't buy it last night. Went back today with $1.00 off coupons, and they were all gone. Disappointed, but maybe some of you will still have it in your area, so if you like this lotion, take coupons just in case.

      • Sarah

you can always purchase the item and KEEP you receipt. Take the coupons and your receipt with you when you go back to Kroger. Take them to the customer service counter and they will accept the coupons and give you the difference in cash back, I do it all the time if the kids are with me.

      • Laura

My store stopped accepting coupons on close out items 2 months ago. Sounds like a good deal for those lucky enough that their store hasn't changed that policy yet.

    • akmilly

I know this is not really important, or a question or anything but I had to share with the couponing community that I actually made my cashier ring my raincheck up for more than he had initially put in. I had a raincheck for the BIC Razors at 3.99 and he rang in 3.49 and I told him to change it. I guess I'm hoping anyone who comes here thinking couponers are all thieves/dishonest/etc that I definitely am trying my best to be honest and I believe the same of the vast majority of the couponing community. =)

    • Onmclellan

I did my Kroger run yesterday – it appears my sale cycle is a bit different from the one we see here, but I hit the MOTHERLOAD of a sale.. some of the 10 for 10 sales that are now on my today's circular were already available and then there was the other buy 10 and save $5 Mega sale that was still running.  However, another sale that truly helped me the most was on the snack isle (fruit snacks and granola bars) It was buy 4 and save $6 – due to a milk allergy with one of my children there are certain types/brands we must buy and they cost way more!  This was like Christmas for me!!

    • frugalinks

I went in to dillons today with great hopes of scoring some big savings.  I had used a match up site to create my list and over half the stuff wasn't on sale at my store.  Although I did do pretty well.  4 Oral B toothbrushes, 7 crest toothpastes, 4 Ivory body wash and 2 gallons of milk all free.  The toothbrushes weren't marked as a sale item but they had it listed in this weeks flyer so I got them for $1 each and had $1 off coupons….Overall, my savings were $36.89 and I only spent $21.17

      • watkins

so silly if you got 6 and did 2 transactions you could have gotten 2.00 worth in catalinas

    • Ema

      Kandoo wipes are 10/10!

    • Larestub

In my Kroger in Raleigh, NC they had 24 oz bottles of Dawn dish detergent (New Zealand Spring scent) on closeout for $1.49 (regular $2.99). Im sure there is coupon in the  P&G saver that will double to make it even cheaper. I didnt have my coupon with me but it was still a good deal at $1.49!!!!!

    • Jaimu

stonyfield yogurt is 10 for $10 @3b388628af5938ea5d9629bf5900cd9c:disqus  durham Kroger. Not B1G1 unfortunately

    • Teresa

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned but my Kroger (in Raleigh) has Cliff bars for 99 cents and there was a $1 off coupon in a recent mailer featuring organic products.

    • Kroger provide always a best deals offers, Every purchasing with getting discount coupons and saving with best deals to enjoy.

    • TJ McGillicuddy

How can you tell when the sales are ending?  For example, I called my store this week about the toothbrushes for $1.  The man said not to worry that they have been out all week because the sale does not end until August 6th.  Is there some way to tell from the shelf tag?  Thank in advance =)

      • Laura

Yes the last date of the sale is on every yellow tag. Many items are 2-3 months (I've seen some as long as 5-6 months) but most sale items are only 2 weeks. There are a multitude of unadvertised deals weekly, you really just have to walk the aisles and look for the yellow tags. Some are not deals at all, as little as 10 or 15 cents off a 2.50 item.

Mega events are always 2 weeks. They put a lot of the items in the first weeks ad & some repeats with some different items in the 2nd weeks ad. So the first week you really must walk the aisles looking for the mega tags. It helps to find the display boards around the store with the brochure that lists ALL of the megas. It's always a sheet about 3×7 inches and printed front & back sorted by dept. The display is usually near the front door or the cust service desk, and another at the rear of the store.
