Somebody please tell me why the Kroger store(s) in Macon no longer accept printable coupons???

      • Rondavue66

Cartersville GA, I had the store manager call corp to verify some of the things they were telling me and they told them it is now Kroger policy that they won't accept a coupon for something FREE if you don't have to buy something else. The free w/purchase is still allowed. I have $15 worth of coupons they didn't want to take that day and I was going to walk out with nothing but he finally called to verify..Now that I know I use those coupons at Publix.

        • Diane

I've heard that they won't take free product Qs, but will if you have to buy something else. Given that, I had a big issue – going back and forth at a Kroger I din't usually shop at with the oreo/milk Q. In the end he took it – after I pointed out that I had to buy 2 other things, …

        • Kristen

Here is their coupon policy. http://print.coupons.com/Couponweb/Partners/Kroger/KrogerCouponAcceptance.html
I think it depends on the manager.

      • Jennifer922

I have use printables in Macon with no problems. Just no free internet coupons.

      • Klpgt

I just used printed coupons on Zebulon Rd and they didn't say anything!

      • Gibblechip67

Are you kidding me?!!! I just printed out the shopping list for this week and thought I would give Kroger another try; had awful experience months ago with my coupons; but now, after hearing about Macon store I will just quit trying!

      • Jessica

The Macon stores will still take printables, but only 2 like coupons per order and they will not take any sort of free coupons, including BOGO coupons. I called 3 of the Macon stores in my area asking if they would take the BOGO sobe coupons and all 3 of them told me no.

      • MG

I go to both the Zebulon & Forsyth Rd. Krogers and use printables all the time. They look at them pretty carefully to make sure they match up with what I’m buying, but I have had no problems. *knock on wood*

    • Debee2000

my kroger won't accept internet coupons that are Free.. I don't know why but it sure made me mad last week when I went to get my free oreo's from fb when I bought oreos and milk. There is NOTHING listed in thier store anywhere about this issue so u don't find out until u check out.

      • Debee2000

my store is in north augusta, sc

      • Lynnkz

My Kroger won't accept internet coupons for free items either. They told me it is because they have gotten burned with fraudulent coupons. I understand their point since they will lose money if the coupon is fake, but as an honest couponer, I find it very frustrating. But now that I am aware of their policy, I just make sure to buy those items elsewhere. Recently at a competing store I used a few internet coupons for $1 off ice cream – the cashier had to check a big notebook listing suspicious coupons before she scanned mine. It was frustrating to wait, but she did scan them in the end.

        • Kristen

I called my Kroger and asked to speak to a manager. I explained to him that I had the Libby Free veggie coupon that I printed myself. He asked me what the max item value was. When I told him he said, “Yes, I'll take that. It is the free whole chicken coupons etc that we won't take.” He told me when I was in the store to bring the coupon to Customer Service and he would sign it to let the cashier know I could use it!
I am THRILLED! Call your Kroger manager and just have a friendly chat! It can't hurt!

      • WJones

I go to the Kroger in Augusta, GA and I have had trouble twice with them telling me that a Manufacturer's coupon was a target coupon just because it had the logo on it. If you print it from Target's website, the coupon says “Target Web Coupon” not “Manufacturer”. Have you had trouble with this? I'm not sure if they've had an issue with fake coupons before or what. . . . .?

        • Debee2000

WJones, yes I have had problems with any coupons that doesn't say manuf or kroger on it at my Kroger. We are going to start shopping elsewhere due to frequent problems with thier store. I may just go in for coupon/deals only and due my meat and other shopping elsewhere

      • Godsplumbline

My Kroger here in Marietta GA is the same way no “free” coupons or internet stuff – Publix is so much easier to deal with

    • Awsome matchups. Thanks so much!

    • Gabi

I went to Kroger the other day and got a catalina printout that advertised a sale for the dan-o-nino yogurt. Buy x amount and get $2 Q, buy more and get $3 Q off your next purchase. I hadt he thing sitting on my coffee tale for 3 days, and now that I need it I can't find it anymore. I don't know if the dates were for this week or not. Has anybody else seen that catalina?

      • Angela

Between 7/12 and 8/8, Buy 2 Dan-o-nino 6 packs get $1.00 off your next shopping order, buy 3 get $1.50, or buy 4 or more get $2.00.

        • Gabi

Thank you, Angela! That should make it pretty much free then :-)

        • Jaij5208

          I bought 4 packs tonight and didn’t get a catalina – bummer!

      • lyssibee

ADDITIONAL COUPON for $1 off any Dan-O-Nino producton their website: danonino(dot)us(dot)com, under the “promotions” tab. After catalina, they are only .29 each!

Thanks Angela! I also knew there was a catalina for Dan-o-nino, but could remember the details…

    • Mary

I'm having trouble printing the Rice Krispy and Kraft Easy Mac coupons. Anyone else?

      • Piandblackcrazy

        I am the same way

      • Allie

I had to play the game a couple times for the Easy Mac coupon. But I couldn't get the Rice Krispies one either.

    • The Kashi coupon says good only at Earth Fare stores.

    • seeknhim

I asked my Kroger how they organize the coupons they receive to submit them for reimbursement. She said, we don't mess with trying to get reiumbursed, we just throw them away in the garbage.

      • Kelley

What store or city is this?

      • Diane

I find that hard to believe – that would be HUGE money they would be (literally) throwing out with the trash. I'd imagine someone just didn't want to go through it with you.

      • Angela

I have been wondering how the reimbursement thing works. I used two coupons at Target recently, and after the guy scanned them, he wadded them up and threw them in the trash. Do they somehow get reimbursed electronically?

      • MaxieMom

I used to work as a chashier in a grocery store and then in the office 2 days a week. Weh had to keep EVERY coupon we got and we sent them in to our maun office. If youe coupon total didn't match what the computer said it should be, it was the same as being short on cash!

    • Heathergcoupons

My Kroger in Durham, NC started with their signage for the Mega Event tonight and IZZE natural soda is included in the Mega Event, both the cans and the bottles.

    • Laura

Does anyone know about the Kroger in Jasper Georgia?

    • Tara C

At the Irmo Kroger on some of the sierra mists they hand the hanging coupons for 1.00 off three 2 liters, and since they are .79 each, this makes them each .46 each! Also, on the 2 liter diet dr. pepper and reg. dr. pepper there were some peelies for .55 off one, so this made those .24 each! Hurry so you can get some!

      • Tara C.

        Irmo, South Carolina.

I need bathroom tissue this week .Is Cottonelle Bathroom Tissue $4.99 a good deal? I know costco has $4 off on cottonelle ultra bath tissue 36 dluble rolls from 7/15-8/8. anyone know costco price?

      • guest

The cottonelle was part of the mega event at my store and after the mega event discount, it was only $4.49 and with the $1 coupon I had, it was only $3.49.

hi everyone, kroger has suave deodorant for 1.00 when you buy ten, there is a coupon in redplum for .50…that makes them free!!!

      • bpado

I didnt see the coupon in Redplum :(

      • cb

I didn't see the coupon. So you'd need 10 coupons in order for it to work, right?

        • Pinkandblackcrazy

there 10 foe 10 sale you only have to get one and I found the coupon in my redplum I am in ga

          • mama2boyz

ok since ur in ga and im in ga and u get the redplum why dont i?? i cant find these coupons..are they in the sunday paper edition?? are they only in certain areas?

            • Pinkandblackcrazy

i am in fairburn and it was in the ajc sunday paper on a page with a lot of sauve coupons

      • guest

The suave deodorant was $1 at my store too, and was part of the mega event.

    • Sonia

the scotch command hooks for $1.50. There is a $1.50 manufacturer coupon in the Publix Smart Savings booklet which would make this free.

    • Pinkandblackcrazy

does anybody know if kroger take scompeter coupons I am thinking of just price matching this sale at food lion if the do not take the publix coupons on command hooks

      • Dianne

Kroger will take a coupon that says Manufacturer Coupon, even if you got it at Publix. Kroger will not take a coupon that is a Publix store coupon.

        • Charity

I think it depends on your store…my Kroger wouldn't take a Target coupon that clearly said that it was a manufacturer coupon.

          • Janet

To clarify as posted in the coupon policy. Everything ultimately is up to the store manager. Kroger is trying a number of things the unadvertised specials are one. My Kroger has issues even with certain Mega Event items being counted right. Certain Krogers will not take a coupon from the internet over $1.00 period no exceptions.
Kroger is going to loose a lot of business if they do not get with the mix and match programs and allow couponers to use their coupons. IT does not matter to us couponers if they have to end up donating a ton of product at the end of each month do to the fact that we did not buy it with coupons. Target allows a Target coupon and a manufc. coupon for each item the stuff fly off the shelves. Folks can only afford so much cold hard cash each week at the grocery stores. Food Pantry’s are free.

        • Pinkandblackcrazy

they said they would not take it i was really upset i wanted free command hooks as a college student i go through alot

        • Well, that might not be true. There are several Kroger stores here that accept Publix coupons as competitor coupons. Not many do, but you can always ask. :)

      • Bobbi

My Kroger will not take manufacturer coupons that have another store’s logo on them. If I print out a Mfg coupon on target.com and it has the Target logo, Kroger will not accept it. I think it varies from store to store.

        • Anonymous

My Kroger is the same way. As Dianne stated they will not take other store’s store coupons, but In Savannah, GA they also will not take ANY coupon that has another store’s logo. Its a bummer, but I just use them at Publix. They are much more coupon friendly and recognize that they are manufacture’s coupons even with another store’s logo.

      • Anonymous

My Kroger does not accept comp. coupons or man. coupons with another store’s logo. I have read that some other readers do not have a problem with the other logos and some even say their Kroger will take comp. coups. I would call or run by CS and ask. I am in Savannah, GA by the way.

    • Jennifer

Just wondering if this is normal coupon procedure. When you have a B1G1 coupon, does the cashier take off the regular price of the item or the sale price? Just wondering b/c @ Kroger today, I had 2 B2G1 Kraft Mac & Cheese coupons. They are $1 a piece, but if you buy 10 participating items, you can get them for $.50 a piece. I bought 10 participating items to include 6 of the Mac & Cheese. Now that I am home going over my receipt, I noticed that the cashier took $1 off on the free Mac & Cheese and not the sale price. So, in the end, I ended up getting all 6 for $1, which is a good deal, but not sure if this is how it should have been handled. Any ideas?

      • Bobbi

I believe what the cashier did is correct. $.50 isn't actually the sale price, they just put that in the ad to show that with the $5 off at the end, it's like you are only paying $.50 for it. It's like in the CVS ads where you get ECB and they say “It's like paying. . . ” The price is $1, so that is how much they would take off for the coupon. Does that make sense?

        • Katkoupon

That seems correct to me also. Unfortunately, my Kroger cashier today told me they have been told NOT to take any Internet Printables that have the word “FREE”. I had the B2G1 Easy Mac coupon also. She double-checked with the manager since it was Free w/ purchase. He said they could not accept. I did not argue b/c they took my 12 other coupons, no questions asked (some IP, some SQ, some MQ), and this particular cashier & manager have always been so nice to me. I thanked them for letting me know. (The prior week I checked at CS on my way in to double-check on IP acceptance since I'd heard so many people were having trouble with them. CS didn't know, asked a different manager, and she said no. I asked her when they stopped accepting them and she told me they never did. Knowing this was not true, I still handed my cashier 3 IP's that week, and she took them no problem). So, I didn't miss the $1 coupon today. I still walked out with $72.79 worth for only $17.77, what a great day! Am very proud being this is only my 3rd week at this! Thanks everyone for sharing such great tips!

          • It clearly states on Kroger’s web site coupon policy,

“We will generally not accept “FREE product” (no purchase required) print-at-home coupons. It is currently an industry practice not to produce print-at-home manufacturer’s coupons for free product. Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable.”

So when you have to buy something to get the FREE they should accept it. The policy is here:

            http://print.coupons.com/Couponweb/Partners/Kroger/KrogerCouponAcceptance.html

            Good luck.

            • Jenn

Bobbi, thanks! Yes, it makes sense! Well, then I got a better deal than I expected. I have never had a problem with my Kroger giving me any problem with the freebie coupons. Honestly, I didn't even know it was a part of their policy. Now I know, so I guess I will use my freebie coupons elsewhere. Thanks Natasha for the heads up. Also, Katkoupon …. that's really great! Took me quite awhile to get the 'hang' of it, so sounds like you are doing really well! Good job!

    • Amy

I live in Mississippi. Anybody know if the Laurel store is having this Mega event sale. I pulled the Kroger website up for the Laurel, MS store and all it showed was the usual sale paper. No Mega event mentioned :(

      • Lara

My mom and sister live in MS and the Kroger sale doesn't start until Wednesday. Check back then because I bet the Mega Event will start then.

        • Amy

          Thanks Lara!! Will do.

    • Sheila

The Cleveland, MS Kroger will not accept a coupon “if it's more than half the price of the item.” Today I wanted to buy the Olay Total Effects Body Wash ($5.77) and get the Ivory BW Free. The cashier would not take the $4 coupon. She said this was a new policy.

      • Fgavent

Just to let you know I used it last week. The Olay was on sale for $4.77 – 4C – an e-coupon (I think for .75). The Ivory was 1 – .50 e-coupon but the clerk took off a $1 for the free coupon. You may want to try another store or clerk.

    • Snooksjim

just got back from a kroger run in Irmo, SC. When the cashier rang me up it did not come out 10 items. I went to customer service b/c I had planned the 10 items I would buy before I left home. The reason was they said the OM lunch meat was not part of the promotion. Anyone else have this happen?

      • sarahcas

I haven't been to Kroger yet but the newspaper ad in my paper (Knoxville, TN) doesn't state that it's part of the mega event. Bummer.

        • Ddeoliver

That's weird. I am in Knoxville, TN and the ad that I got (from the News Sentinel) clearly shows a Mega Event.

          • sarahcas

Oh, I just meant that the oscar mayer lunch meat wasn't part of the mega event here either.

            • Charity

No, it's not part of the mega event, just on sale. I always doublecheck the shelf tags to make sure that items are part of the mega event. The Cottonelle toilet paper wasn't listed as being part of the mega event in the paper, but it was part of that when I went to the store.

            • Ddeoliver

Oh, silly me :) Yeah, I noticed that too, definitely a bummer.

      • Kristin

I noticed that some of the OM lunchmeat was in on the promotion, but the kind I usually buy (the deli-fresh shaved meats) were not. hth

Does anyone know of any Tombstone coupons out there? We love Tombstone! Esp college son :)

      • jim

sorry..no money maker if shopping at Kroger, unless your Kroger is different than the rest of them…they only deduct savings down to zero, unlike Publix who actually GIVES you your overage…not sure why Kroger isn't on the bandwagon with that…

    • Patty

Woo-Hoo! The items I purchased before q's and store savings was $58.39. After the deductions it came to 19.28!

    • Knwebb1

Where can I get the $1 coupon for Rice Krispies Treats?

      • Kari

I had trouble with this, too. I went to the Big K site, signed up and was given a cereal coupon for my trouble.

    • Jarrodbryson

Hello, Just got back from Kroger!

“One A Day Vitamins” = No Prenatal, don't waste the Ink
“Scotch Brite or O-Cel-O Scrub Sponge 1 ct $1 ea” = CS Told me $1.50 each, and the Coupon in ATL is for $1 off 2
“Gatoraid” = Didn't work, not on sale

      Goodluck all!

      • WynetteC

Thanks for your post. I was making a list for this main purpose in getting these and it doesn't seem that great a deal now.

    • Katkoupon

I printed the “$2 off Johnson & Johnson Baby Daily Face & Body Lotion SPF 40 printable” last night, just an FYI, this was NOT on sale for $2.50 at my store. I don't remember exact price, but it was somewhere around $8 or so. Thanks so much for all the matchups! I saved a total of $55.02 today! OOP was only $17.77!

    • Rachel

50c/1 any degree deo in kroger home mailer should make them 50c ea.

some great gorton fish coupons in their calendar, inside their small boxes, and in the all you mag-60c (feb pg 85)

    • Kim Schwartz

I didnt see the Scoth scouring pads in the SS in Savannah, GA. Did you guys? Nor did i see the Depends or Infusion hair product. Boo hoo ;-(

      • Lrae17

I couldn't find it in Columbia, SC either.

    • Kim Schwartz

Where do you get the July All You Magazine?

      • Acdaniell

You can buy it at Walmart

    • Charity

The Deli Fresh Lunchmeat was not included in the Mega Sale at my store in Richmond, VA. It was on sale for $2.99, but not part of the buy 10 get $5 off.

    • Gibblechip67

Can someone quickly tell me if the eCoupon is considered a manufacturer coupon or a store coupon?

      • ToddDu

Neither really, it can be stacked with either/both. In most cases they are truly manufacturer but Kroger has some for Private Selection that are store

        • Gibblechip67

Okay sooooo….I have an ecoupon for 1.50 off 1 Aveeno product and I have a manf. coupon for 3.00 off two…how would this work at checkout?

          • ToddDu

Make sure your Kroger card is scanned first. $1.50 should come off almost immediately and then $3 coupon when they scan it. If you have issue you may want print outs of ecoupons and bring to CS

            • JessicaJ

The ecoupon will not come off until the cashier hits the subtotal button.

            • Kari

It will be listed on the receipt next to the item, tho. Not at the bottom like the other mfg cpn.

            • Gibblechip67

Great! Thank you so much for your help! I will let you know how it goes!

    • JessicaJ

Dove ice cream is also included in the mega event. There was a coupon for it but I can't remember how much or where it came from. The Dove miniatures are 60 calories each though, and really yummy!

      • ToddDu

        I see 5/16 RP $1.00 off 2

    • Krislaugh

I think that Kashi coupon can only be used at Earthfare

    • meltoe

I found 75/1 SaraLee Pound Cake or SaraLee Cream Pie in Parade mag today.

    • SabySmooth1

There is also a $3 off 1 Motrin PM coupon that was in the paper a while back. Makes the Motrin PM free plus overage! :-)

I don't see the Motrin Pm is it on sale this week?

        • Stacey

It was listed in my ad as $2.50 after mega, so $.50 overage!

            Thanks :)

      • Enoughsaid

The $3 Motrin coupon was in the 4/48/10 RP.

        • Enoughsaid

I can't type. The Motrin was in the 4/18/10 RP.

      Gatorade or G2 32 oz 50¢ ea
35/1 Gatorade Prime or Recover, SS 6/27 is not included :(.

    • rckmama

My store (sw tx) runs ads Wednesday-Tuesday. I love your site, but I am so confused when I should follow your info-or does it just not work or me since I am not on the same schedule as your kroger?

      • christin

this confused me at first, too. my kroger runs from wed-tues as well. it varies by region. i have found that almost everything seems to be the same or close to it. it acutally works out really well for me because it gives me a few extra days of planning and reading the comments on unadvertised deals everyone else finds that has ads from sun-sat. that way i'm super prepared for my trips!!!

        • rckmama

Yea, I am so confused and can't seem to figure out which is the BEST day to shop. I have figured out that I have more time to get it all togther though, which is a nice perk. So, what day have you found works the best to shop and get all the 'deals'?

          • rckmama

and I guess what I am trying to figure out is…SS says this kroger ad runs 7/11-7/17. So for us it is really 7/14-7/20? Is that right?

            • Heather

For the most part. My prices (houston) are generally lower than most of ss prices. But like christen says, it gives us a bit of a head start!

            • bethany

Kroger Delta and Kroger Texas run Wed to Tuesday

            • christin

yes. jenny's kroger starts sunday the 11th, ours starts the 14th for the same ad. the best way to check your kroger schedule is by going to the website and click on weekly ad at the top and it will prompt your zip if it isn't already saved. if you look at the first page of the ad at the very bottom it will tell you exactly the days and time the sales are good through.

          • christin

I actually shop on friday nights because it is the least crowded. When I use a lot of coupons I like the store to be empty in case there are problems. I have never really had a problem getting any of the deals but if you're worried go on wed when the sale starts. hope that helps!!

    • Mike

Never posted before, but I wanted to say thanks for what you do. I've only been using your site for about 4 months, but it has been a lifesaver. Last month, money was tight, but because of your site I had built up a big enough stash to be able to pay the bills and not have to spend a dollar on groceries all month. You cut my regular grocery bill in half, and I get twice as much! Thanks again. Also, all these other posts seem to have girl names…am I the only guy on this site?

      • Benjamin

        Not at all!

    • Guest1259

New here. Can someone tell me what an SS is, i.e. how to go about getting it?

      • Tntmcguire05

SS = Smartsource coupons that are usually found in your Sunday Paper
RP = Redplum coupons that are usually found in your Sunday Paper

    • Mandasparkles7

Some of the items are a little cheaper in Richmond, VA Kroger, for example, Pepsi is being advertised as .49 cents each, so it Rice-A-Roni and Kraft cheese is only .99 cents, not $1.88 here, awesome!!!! :)

      • JessR2

happy to see other folks in Richmond here! I noticed that too on the Pepsi & RiceaRoni… got some of both yesterday!!!

        • Cherryl

Hey! Where in Richmond are you from? I shop at the Kroger on Hull Street in Midlothian and was wondering if they had a limit on how many sets of participating items you can get for the mega event. For example – if I bought 60 items, do I have to split them up into 2 separate transactions?

    • Rntobe10

There is a coupon on coupon.com save $1 on fresh berries when you purchase any 1 frozen Sara Lee pund cake. Zip code 99208.

    • Juliansurveys

I don’t find the Lean Cuisine or Ball Park ecoupons on Kroger.com or shortcuts. Where are they?

    • Rebekahhall28

Smart Balance milk was $3.19 at my store, with the $2.50 coupon from the 7/11SS and the Kroger ecoupon for $2 it was a money maker for me!

      • Dezyndeva

here did you find the smart balance ecoupon? on the kroger site? it doesn't come up for me

        • Rebekahhall28

I got it after playing the summer of savings game. I just clicked to load coupons and it was there for me. I think that is the Kroger website. Sorry!

    • Seaturtlebaby

I found a Pedigree dentastix coupon online at the Pedigree website for $1 off!

    • Seaturtlebaby

There are also Command hooks coupons for $1 off at the Command 3M website.

    • Ddeoliver

I bought 2 of the Sara Lee pound cakes and got a catalina for $1 off my next order. That was an unexpected surprise!

    • BaileeH

I'm a little new to this…can someone explain this to me. I get that you have to buy 10 items to get the $5 off, but if you buy more than 10 items do you still get the promotional price? Like if it says gatorade is .99 cents, buy if you buy 10 they're .49 cents a piece. If I buy 13 are the other 3 still .49 cents a piece, or do they go back up to the .99 cents a piece? Thanks for the advice!

      • Sam

You have to purchase in multiples of 10 to get the correct low price.

        • Baileeh

          ahh ok, thanks for clarifying.

          • Heykat

But it's mix & match. Any multiple of 10 of ANY of the mega-event items will trigger the $5 off; you don;t have to buy ten of the same thing.

    • Sam

Just a heads up for the Cary, NC store. I generally do not like shopping here, I can't put my finger on it but recently had an interesting experience. I was checking out on July 4th and the cashier had a portrait of a president in front of the catalina machine. He was the only cashier doing this and it blocked from view the machine from the person who was about to check out. This seemed odd to me but I noticed he was not giving anyone their catalinas. When I got nearer to him I said loudly HEY you forgot to give that lady her coupons (she used a bunch of coupons, so I knew she'd care.) He was extremely flustered. I suggested he move his portrait to he could see them printing out.

I have long suspected that some cashiers were taking $ off coupons from unsuspecting customers. Yes, it's nice to find one on the floor or at self checkout but this seemed inappropriate to me…

I hear so many negative comments about the Cary Kroger from friends. They all dislike shopping there.

      • meg

I once had this happen at walgreens. I was owed a pretty big RR on my purchase and the guy took it out of the machine and put it under the counter. I called him on it and he just said “oh, sorry.”

    • Daphne

There are tons of items included in the Mega Event that aren't listed here, especially in the cleaning aisles. Too many to list, just take a stroll down the aisles to find them for yourself. Also at my store, there were tons of closeouts in the cold/allergy medicine aisle.

Other deals I found at Kroger today:
      Crayola Crayons 24ct – $0.25
      Crayola Markers 8ct – $1
Halls Refresh Cough Drops closeout – $.99 with $.50/1 peelies on them

      • Daphne

I also got a $4 catalina at checkout and just figured out that it was from buying Crayola. Found this on the web:

“Buy School Supplies from brands (Expo, PaperMate, Mead, Sharpie, Crayola, Avery, Five Star, Uni-Ball) between July 11 and August 21, 2010 and SAVE up to $4 on your next shopping trip. Get a $2 coupon at checkout when you spend $10 in one purchase, or get a $4 coupon when you spend $20.

The total must be based on regular prices because I bought 5 packs of crayons and 2 packs of markers for $3.25 and got back a $4 cat!!!!

I love getting paid to buy school supplies!!!!!!!!!!

      • Ddeoliver

I checked my local store in Knoxville, TN and they don't have the Crayola stuff on sale :( Bummer. It's all regular price (and more expensive than Target even). Awesome for you though :)

        • Erin

Try Staples this week for some REALLY great back to school supples! Got spiral notebooks for $0.25, folders for $0.01 and various Crayola coloring utensils between $0.30-$1!!! Also, for your printable Qs….they too have 500 ream of multi purpose paper for $4.99 with a $4.98 rebate – you can score 2 per household!!!

    • Hesperides

In the Tennessean, the Scotch-Brite coupon is $1/2. Boo.

    • Carrie

If I buy 20 of the mega event items will $10 come off my bill? Do I need to do separate transactions?

      • Jenn

No girl, I bought 50 participating items and I got $25 off!

      • Katkoupon

This worked for me, I bought 20 items and got $10 off.

      • Juliea201

There have been stores in the past that stated a “limit” of 3 sets of 10 per transaction, so I usually stick to that, but I think it's those individual stores. Just make sure you keep careful track of your mega items before going to checkout.

    • Court

I am new to this and trying to learn the ins and outs. When you say they will double a coupon. Does this mean that I need to start buying two Sunday papers and take two coupons for one product? Am I correct in thinking that Kroger accepts double coupons up to 50 cents?

      • shellito1012

While you are welcome to do that, that isn't what it means. Doubling means they will double the amount of the coupon for 50 cents or less. For instance, if you have a coupon for .45 cents off 1 item, they will actually take .90 cents off that item.

        • shellito1012

I meant welcome to buy two newspapers to get two products…..sorry!

      • JessicaJ

You cannot use 2 coupons for one item…

    • The scotch brite sponges didn't ring up as being part of the sale for me. They are on sale, but not as part of the mega event.
Does anyone know how kroger handles it if you decide to return some of the items that were part of the mega sale? How do they handle that with the -$5 part of it?

      • Kelley

During the last mega sale I did the same thing (bought something that did not count towards my 10 items, ended up with 8). I returned the easier of the items which happened to be 2liter sodas and received a refund, then went back and purchased the correct combination of 10.

    • Shattereddreams2010

there is a plamolive $.70 coupon …it was in the cover of redplum ..when u get an early preview in the snail mail…

    • AuburnCouponMom

Many thanks Jenny for all you do to help my family eat well, stay clean and save money! Just did Kroger mega event! Had some absolutes to buy like dog food, produce and splenda. But I did pretty darn good! Saved 56% Total before coupons and discouts $134 paid $66.

    • Barb

There are coupon books in the pharmacy waiting area at my Kroger (Grayson) with .35 cent off Soft Soap coupons in them. Should make them .30 each with the sale this week! There were some other good coupons in there also if anyone needs free toothpaste..

    • Bobbi

At my Kroger (Louisville region), Del Monte Fruit Chillers were part of the mega event and on sale for $1.99. With a $1/1 coupon and the $.50 off for the mega sale, they are only $.49!

      • Stacyheffington

do you by chance remember what insert they came in?

    • Plaidjenn

      Jenny,

At our Kroger, (Roanoke, VA area), the Dixie ultra plates had peelies on them B2 Get one package of 200 ct Dixie Napkins free. The 200 ct Dixie napkins were also part of the sale when I went to pick up my free package (priced $1.49 on the sale).

      • shellito1012

I also found them in Madison, AL. On the shelf, I just happened to come across one and couldn't find anymore. However, they had a display a couple of aisles over and they all had the peelies on them.

    • Momfia
    • Kelley

I purchased the Motrin PM for 2.50 and used the 3.00 off q (free plus overage!). I received a catalina for 2.00 off of Advil PM.

    • robin

Watch the Kashi coupon – it wouldn't scan and after 3 phone calls they gave it to me … “this time!” If it doesn't scan they are not supposed to honor it!

    • Tlbmcguirecoupons

I was able to get a .50 coupon on the Gorton’s Fish off of their website.
      http://www.gortonfish.com
Just click on coupons and promotions. It let me print 2x.

      • Bridget

Thanks for the heads up! Just printed my two, but the link did not take me directly there.

      • Snowwy54

I had to go to gortons.com

      • june

        Thank you soooo much!

    • Reweddle

Maxwell House coffee was $4.89 (wyb 10 items). The cans had a $10 coupon book on top of them, which had $1 off coupon for the coffee. This made it $3.89- a bargain. Also, there is a $1 coupon for Starbucks ice cream, making it $.98.

    • Erin

I just saved $116 at Kroger!!!
There is a coupon on the Dixie plates – free Dixie napkins wyb 2 Dixie plates

    • Whitney

How do I get the Red Gold tomatoes coupon? When I click on their website I don't see where to go?? Thanks!

      • Whitney

        nevermind. I found it!

    • Deb

Help – I'm driving to a Kroger tomorrow to try out this mega sale. How many identical coupons will they double? (I have like 30 or so .50 off Vitamin Water) Is there a limit to the number of total coupons you can use per transaction? Does Kroger accept FREE item coupons that are printables? TIA!

      • They will not accept free item printable q's. Not sure about a limit on doubling, but I know they also will not accept more than two of the same printable q.

    • Megan

There was a 1.00/1 for Florida's Natural OJ in the SS 7/11 (Raleigh, NC) making it $1.27 with the mega event. Not too bad for OJ. There was also a 0.55/1 for Ball Park Franks in one of the Kroger Home Mailers (sorry, don't remember which one), which made for 0.20 hot dogs when stacked with the 0.75/1 e-coupon. I also had a ton of 1.00/2 Kraft tearpads that were on the penguins last month, and they included Philly. Plus, Kroger had a display near the milk with 1.00/2 Singles tearpads. Cheese for 0.49 = mad stockpiling! My total was $161 before sales and coupons, and I paid $45. That's a savings of $116 or 72%! Thanks for all of your hard work Jenny!

    • Jennifer

The frozen Private Selection 32oz. Angus meat is part of the 4-day sale (in Alpharetta, GA) and there's a $1.50 off coupon in one of the Kroger mailers. The printable that is listed under the Publix list (through tomorrow or Thursday) for Nature's Own bread is for a new kind that is bogo at Kroger this week (one loaf is about $1.74 before coupon).

    • mommyof3girls1boy

Does anyone know if Kroger accepts competitor coupons?

      • Mommy2Be

Our Kroger says they will accept competitor's coupons, but not ones that come from Publix (or wherever else) without a barcode.

        • mommyof3girl1boy

Thank you Mommy2Be and AmyP, greatly appreciated.

      • amyp

mine does not in Opelika, AL

    • Juliea201

Not a bad trip today, except that my Kroger e-coup for the Venus didn't come off… One thing I've noticed is that there's not nearly as much overlap with e-coups and paper coups as before but I was still able to spend $52 and saved $60 plus getting the $3 OYNO for the Lean Cuisine.

    • BenG

My Kroger had a display for a free RedBox movie coupon when you bought three Pepsi 2 liters and/or FritoLay products. Not sure if it works on any FritoLay product, but it did print me a Catalina coupon for a free RedBox video when I bought three Pepsi Co. 2 Liters that are on the mega sale for $0.75 after $5 off WYB 10. So buy 10 2 liters for $7.50 oop and get 3 free Red Box rental coupons.

    • bichelle

I have a couple coupons for the $2.00 off tombstone pizza.. they are internet printable. Will Kroger accept internet printable? I am not real familiar with their coupon procedures seeing I usually coupon at Publix.

      Thanks!

      • Derricks210

yes they will…I had 2/$2 q's and did the 10 item mega event and got the Tombstone Pizza's for .49 each! Great Deal!

    • Tlbmcguirecoupons

My sister-in-law went to Kroger last night and her total b4 scanning her Pluscard and her q's was $278.00. Afterwards… $113.00. Savings of over $160.00. She was so excited she called to let me know.

    • Lprvs

Where can i get the $1/1 starbucks icecream coupon… its not showing up on the link!!!

    • Lrae17

FYI on the Tum's Sale…my Kroger (Columbia, SC) did not have the Dual Action Tums as part of the Mega Sale so the higher value coupons didn't work.

    • Kagodsey

I received a catalina for $3.00 off on any Formula 409 product while shopping today. That was the good news, the bad news was I miscounted my Mega items and only bought 9 instead of 10. Darn it.

      • Rachel

If you take another mega item to cust. service and explain what happened they will ring it up and give you cash back. I've done this before. They were really nice about it.

    • Aprylsbrown

This is a email I got from corportate Kroger about their coupon poilcy, thought I’d post here, perhaps someone could move it to right spot. ~ Apryl

      Dear Ms. Brown:

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Company regarding our coupon policy. I am including a copy of our policy for your convenience.

The store manager has the right to accept, decline or limit the use of ANY coupon upon view.

The store manager has the right to limit the Quantity of coupons or items used or purchased in a single transaction, by a single customer, or in a single day.

Customers are responsible for tax on all items, even “free” items.
BUY ONE GET ONE FREE (BOGO) COUPONS AND SALE ITEMS:

Customers must purchase one of the items in order to receive one free. This is a coupon-vender requirement.

If we are having a BOGO sale and a customer has a BOGO coupon for the same product, the customer must still pay for one of the items. In this case, there will be a total of four items for which one is purchased and the other three are free. ONLINE COUPONS versus PAPER COUPONS:

Customers may not use an online coupon and a paper coupon together for the same item.

      – PRINT-AT-HOME (PAH) COUPONS:

We only accept printable coupons if they scan properly at checkout.

We do not accept “free product” printable coupons that have no purchase requirement.

Buy-one-get-one-free coupons and other values that have a purchase requirement are acceptable but will be MUCH less common than traditional value-off coupons.
We do not accept coupons for more than about 75% of a product’s value without advance notice.
Legitimate PAH coupons will not be for a high value relative to the cost of the item. For example, a $2.00 off coupon will be acceptable for a product that normally sells for $5.00 or more, but a $2.00 off printable coupon for a product that sells for $2.25 is unlikely to be legitimate.
Coupons will be rejected if they appear out of proportion or blurry, or are obvious duplicates.
Legitimate PAH coupons are never copied, sold, or traded. Nearly all coupons are “non-transferable,” meaning they should not be photocopied or scanned and distributed to others.

Coupons will be rejected if they appear to have been altered in any way.
PAH coupons can be checked for validity at: http://www.printcoupons.com.

      Sincerely,

      Brandee Powell

Does Kroger usually take the reinventing beauty magazine coupons that have CVS printed on them?

      • Dianne

They will take the manufacture coupons, but not the ones that are CVS store coupons.

    • Amy

YAY!!! The Mega Event hit the Laurel, Mississippi store yesterday. First one I have been to since I became a coupon clipper in June. I LOVED IT!!! I saved $157 and got a cart “FULL” of great items that my family uses anyway. This is truly the best sale I have scored on so far. How often do they run the $5 off 10 events? I got several items less than $1 and got 20 gatorade drinks for free with coupons I purchased online for pennies at Dede's coupon things.
      :)

Kroger in Atoka, TN would not take my internet “B1G1F” SoBe coupons. They said they don't take “free” internet coupons. I told them this was a B1G1F, it didn't matter. I had them remove my purchases so I could purchase them elsewhere. I sent Kroger an email to find out WHY????

I had 164.84 in groceries and paid 68.14. Since this is my first time doing any type of couponing I thought I did pretty well.

I don't think our Kroger takes printed out coupons from the computer, at least they never did before.
